regardless of either now or later, both returnee valk banners are very underwhelming (lantern now iirc and teri after). You're not recommended to pull on returnee banner regardless outside of free pulls only for it.

Maybe consider teri more if you lack a qua p2 valk since that's more distinctive utility? But in RL and below, you can get away without any qua valks as long as you know what you're doing.

Every valk has their own dps scenarios but both are rare now.

Lantern has hitcount utility (only really relevant for Fire Kosma when sparkle is dps) but other valks can be better (sushang usually) or decent enough (vita in sparkle's case) for this role.

people were handling the recent fire tona with FDD (dragon coralie) main dps of all things (and this is an old boss so not having new qua valks means you have to wait out an extended attack cycle for an enemy side collapse)

and before then on weathers like vita, people were retaining with Sena dps

newer qua bosses like her or pig don't punish you as badly since you can collapse them quickly

Should I Pull AstralOps?

NOO CAPTAIN!

If you are a f2p meta player, you should not pull gacha AstralOps - only players who are retaining or trying to retain Nirvana should consider it if they have the funds (unlikely for f2p players).

Reasons:

• Dreamseeker is good enough despite being free.
• Too expensive, especially if they need SS (~20-30k).
  • AstralOps have the same cost as a gacha weapon, therefore pulling one may result in being unable to afford a Valkyrie's weapon down the line (for meta players, this means skipping said Valkyrie entirely).
• The damage and score increase they provide in Redlotus and below is often minimal and not needed to retain.

whats the observed rates on the xtals u got, if its like observed 10%, then true 95% c.i. could be from like 8% to 12%, if its like 1% observed, so like you only got 10 times out of 1000, then it could possibly be from like .4% to 1.6%

point is rarer the thing is, the more samples you need to try to reduce variance that can occur from clumping, like getting 3 in a row, then not get anything for the next 800 attempts

Chat I have a question, would I be able to affford pulling Mei and sparkle ascension this patch, and I if I did would I be able to afford these paws ascension+ weapon, hle ascension+ weapon, and Rita ascension+ weapon, if after pulling on Mei I don’t spend crystals on anything else besides sparkle ascension and weapon and for note sparkle ascension requires about 138 pulls for valk + weapon guranteed since 12 refunded on 40 pulls for the last 12 pulls needed and also paws ascension would be on 9.1, hle on 9.3 and Rita on 9.4 tldr I want to know if I can afford Mei + sparkle ascension without jeopardizing being able to afford the listed ascensions

even if you're f2p, stigmatas are craftable now. So you can get the best ones eventually. The only gacha gear is now the weapon

dkeys are generally priority, with the following being less priority than the rest

• abyss flower and fenghuang down (needs to craft an extra weapon from foundry to get their benefits)
• sakura and judah > get these in other ways (foundry and exchange shop respectively)

a single dkey is only +10 atk. Unless you find a specific situation where you're barely off, you don't need to rush for it right now. Maybe in the near future something else will get added to reserve work shop that you are more mindful of

yeah it's going to be a bit awkward at the start. For now you can try using VBm Coralie and I guess either TA Prometheus or RC Pardofelis to support her.

Be mindful that TA and RC's effects are much shorter in duration (15s as opposed to 25s) so maximizing buffs may require rotating sooner (there might be scenarios where it's fine to bite the loss and hold out a bit longer to finish a phase or something). Also beware these valks don't refresh their effects on outburst, so you may opt to manually apply them before entering outburst.

Because you dont' have symbiosis tag supports for Mei's grail ring type, you won't be able to restore a large amount of sp during outburst. So when outburst is ready, you just perform mei's initial set of actions then end the outburst early.

For now focus on getting mei's weapon.

If you have luna from last patch then you may assess getting her weapon depending on how much time her banner has left and how much you can farm in that time.

We also have a carnival banner coming soon with 20 free pulls so maybe you can luck into symbiosis supports there. (But the odds are low so don't count on it. You're not recommended to spend crystals/blue and pink cards there either)

uh i don't recall this at all. Normally VBm synergies are slowly obtained across 8 weeks from the mod parts in the asterite shop

the synergies are somthing to get when you exhaust other asterite shop priorities but they're only like 1% team damage overall each very roughly speaking
