clearing the cache is an optional box during uninstall so its not guaranteed they cleared that

Hi, im having issues connecting to twitch drops. I connected it before possibly a year ago, and when I recently relogged into twitch after some months it was showing the Connect button. When I click on it and log into hoyoverse it says my account is already linked to my twitch account, but on twitch when I check my connections, it doesn't show honkai impact 3rd. I tried clearing my cookies and quit linking multiple times, but that didn't work. Anyone run into this issue?

That is kinda normal on twitch, will randomly show you need to connect x account and when you try, the other sites say is already connected, as long as those "link page" say is connected, you should be fine

In my case, I think as been like 2 yrs saying is not connected on twitch, but I get the drops with no issues on the game

then yeah its probably a network issue, it definitely isnt one of the game files but i guess you could try clearing out the cache if you havent (note that it'll default all of your settings and make you log in again) I guess you could also try reinstalling your graphics drivers if you're on pc but that probably isnt it since if it was a graphics crashing issue the game would in theory crash instead of freeze. but im guessing theres no spinning yellow circle or anything, you just click tap to start and it shows the elevator and nothing else? if yes then try the cache thing but its probably still a network issue at that point unfortunately. that or a new bug that i havent heard about but customer support can verify that for you #how-to-contact-cs

I dont remember if that specific chapter was missing some voice lines but it does happen sometimes, you can always try running a repair on the game both at the launcher and in game login screen and making sure that in the ai chan phone > resources that that chapters audio resources are downloaded

can also try restarting your device, that fixes a lot of audio issues

I'm just curious, any knowers if the FPS for Abyss is boss dependent? Like when I play some other bosses on abyss, i can get the full 120, but like this abyss boss right now, i am only getting like up to 90. IDK why is it like that though-

The current abyss boss, Epernay, the HLE boss. Here's the specs of my Laptop. I experience other bosses with lower FPS too, with which @/Kanbaeru indicated (Litost, the Dragon Coralie boss).

that performance is normal for those specs with part 2 stuff, if you are not playing with low settings, changing to those should give you more stable fps, but you will still find drops on scenes with too much vfx/models/props

I played in lower settings man, and the effects of my characters is so bland, but anyways, i got the another +1 that i need, so i am 800 pts now on that boss. AHHAHA-

it kinda works, but it is still like 100 fps when i play. With lower settings, it's around 80-100, when I put effects (higher settings), i got 60-90. 😆 ~

Yeah that is normal, that card is on the low end side + already 5yrs old, at least is still decent for running some modern games.
your only option for now is to run the game on a lower setting/resolution to get more performance

In the honkai folder? No, which launcher are you using? And when you say it doesn't really work does the settings menu come up at all or does it just not do anything? But sometimes the resolution settings bug out and it's basically like 1 pixel tall window resolution I think. It's nothing you did though

i use official launcher. i double click on the icon and then did what you asked — shift + start. no reaction.

How to uncap the framerate on macOS:
~/Library/Containers/ contains a folder for Honkai Impact 3rd, open the folder and head to
/Data/Library/Preferences/com.miHoYo.bh3global.plist
Open it in your favorite text editor. Personally, I'm using Xcode.
Modify the TargetFrameRate variables to whatever you wish.
As of now, I do not see any way to modify the actual resolution of the game. However, if you're desperate for those extra frames, lowering the resolution of the display on an OS level does work.
And yes, on the macOS version, the framerate counter is hidden. >_>

the mod can literally be done in notepad

Still there is a difference of win vs mac, the files that contain most registry key are kinda "shared" by the programs, while on mac is instead by app, but I repeat is just a warning, idk how the anticheat works for that OS

I don't remember if the mac ver have vsync on the settings, but on win with a high refresh rate monitor, when enable will uncap the fps, idk if is intentional, but that can be another option too and a easy one for less tech savvy users

it's only "shared" bc microsoft put one box to put registry files in, instead of config.ini which used to be the old standard
essentially they still ARE just config/text files

actually, the way the game is packaged, it created a mirror version of macos WITHIN the container, to then put it where they would put config files in macos

its probably fine for all the reasons you both mentioned, i do know that the only reason we include anything in the registry in the pins is because customer support has previously explicitly said that its fine, and tbh thats the only reason why i feel comfortable with telling people about regedit stuff since it is a bit of a grey area with the TOS which includes modifications to the game files so while its probably fine because a simple text edit is nothing special, i cant in good concious push for it to be pinned unless official customer support explicitly says its ok. but it is something i'll definitely keep in mind to let people know about with a disclaimer until then

so theres not much there, its probably the InControlNative.dll file is corrupted, try going to your honkai installation folder (in steam you can right click it and click manage and then browse local files)

and then go to the BH3_Data\Plugins folder and delete that .dll file and then open the game, hopefully it'll redownload it but if it doesnt then you can go to the games properties in steam and go to installed files and verify integrity of game files

and changing it to an unsupported value
that and cs changing substantially is a good theory, it’s been 5 years after all

technically, the plist is not a “game file” at all as laid out. xD it’s TECHNICALLY in a hi3 container, but as part of a bizzaro version of macOS with the exact same folders, just with aliases for some of them. the plist file is placed in the typical Application Support directory, which is meant for user/local config files

i think by default its not linked (some people dont like advertising on there every time they play and stuff) so you do have to link it, plus each hoyoverse/hoyolab account can in theory hold up to like 6-7 different game accounts because of different servers and stuff so you have to link your specific in game account to the hoyolab account for just that one to get rewards

• I have my game usually in german, and there I have no issues with the cutscene from chapter 22 (only thing missing there are subtitles)
• while the one in sakura samsara freezes

and when I set my game in english the cutscene from chapter 22 freezes for me at the exact same spot while the sakura samsara one also freezes here at the very same spot like in german version

might be, i know i went down a rabbit hole testing this a while ago, had people send me copies of their files that worked fine on their game, but froze at the same spot in mine after i replaced mine with theirs.

but then i asked customer support, they sent me the video file and it worked perfectly so i have no idea what happened there

there are checks, it checks every time the game opens, sometimes the files can get corrupted, it could be a file thats corrupted in a way that the game checks dont notice it, could be a glitch that sometimes happens with the video player, could be a half dozen other things tbh but theres not enough of a pattern for me to guess, but at least theres an easy solution so i stopped trying to find the answer to it, sometimes computers and games just do weird stuff

I kinda worry about that I get banned if the detection system saw that there's an fps boost in the phone I'm planning to get one. It's not 3rd party. It's factory set (EG. Poco F8) and I'm not sure if turned it off would prevented it

I can tell you with my Xiaomi Poco F6, and previously Mi 10T 5G, HI3 never had an issue with me using game-centre and drawing the overlay on the side.

It's not interfering with the game, it's only modifying how the SoC prioritises apps, extending boost period, disabling background apps and clearing memory, it's safe in that regard

Depends of what you mean with "fps boost" the game space app on xiaomi have a "boost" option but just change some settings to make the CPU/GPU work at max, doest change anything with the game.

Depending of the phone you probably need to use it or not so the game get all the resources instead of the background apps. There is one option that could give some issues that is frame gen... Only some phones have it and is on a gray area with TOS, but on those phones you need to manually enable it, so as long you don't do it, you are fine

Any tool that modifies input (ie third party input emulation for controllers) is strictly illegal. Apps that attempt to modify game-files, inject its own data, or as Iho says, attempts to read/modify the frame-buffer with frame-gen software. I'd play safe and avoid such things

Most likely that was talking about frame gen or just marketing wording, but if you are going for that phone you should be fine with the default settings, don't need to change anything (because it released "recently" there is a chance that hi3 will be lock to 60 fps until the devs enable higher settings on that device)

I dont think we've ever had a torrent download uploaded tbh, but if you're game is already installed and just needing to update, the 8.6 update size on the official launcher is about 400MB download now

if you're needing to fully install the game from scratch, then while its not a torrent the custom launchers in the pin do a decent job of parallel downloads so its a bit better than the official launcher for full installs if your network is unstable

yeah thats honestly a higher graphics part of the game than the walking sequences. You'd think its the opposite but basically the walking sequences use a lower resolution (the combat version) model of the characters while the dialogues use the full graphics resolution version that you see in the valk menu iirc

All i can suggest is potential workaround solutions. Despite being below minimum requirement, the game is able to run below that with some tweaking of settings. I would suggest doing that with the custom launcher "Collapse" in the pins. Aside from graphical settings, there's also a way to change the DirectX version that the game runs on. Maybe one of the non-default options run better for you.

I'm suggesting the DirectX thing specifically due to your first error being related to it

It's most likely an issue with your GPU drivers that didn't update properly. If they're fully up to date please use ddu to cleanly uninstall your driver's and then install them again with the GeForce experience app

the only safe option for linux is using an "android emulator" so that should be fine, depending of what distro/program you end up using could give you different results so you have to check what works better for your system

what idk if is still a pain to make the a touch key mapping working on waydroid or if now is easier, but the game have partial keyboard support on android (idk why) so as long as is detected by the game you could skip that step

if your device is using a igpu this could be the problem, the game will give some ram to be used as vram, so you will get less ram available, and on higher settings more vram is needed

not really, the new suit use some techniques that will be heavy on the device, so your pc could try to keep more on memory, if you are using the "default" settings, try to lower the render to 1.0 and check the vram use

I know this patch just ended the self service linking, but I remember then also staging a date for where the account get fully deleted (and it matches with the fact that on the post I found, you can still manually contact CS to try an retrieve a mihoyo pass account)

yeah thats how IIX routing works, basically the issue is with your internets connection to hi3 servers specifically, not your internet in general (thats why VPN can sometimes work because it changes the route your internet connection takes)

and do you play on both pc and phone right? if its both then yeah its definitely your internet, basically a tl;dr of your issue is that theres a break in the connection somewhere between your devices and the servers, if the break is far enough away from where you live then using a VPN can take a different route and "avoid" the problem, but if its close enough to home then a VPN doesnt help.

I'd still recommend reporting it to customer support just in case but you'll probably have to contact your ISP to have them fix it

but tl;dr is that theres a break in your connection to hi3 servers, not your general internet (thats why other games work) and a VPN takes a different route so it detours you around the roadblock in your data's travels to hi3 servers specifically

just since this ver. of the game the pc got a delta patch (only download the new content) and for this patch was like 400aprox., but the game download is like 30gb aprox with basic assets (just the necessary to play)

I am able to play the game fairly fine on my intel HD Graphics 4600

the HD graphics 520 has a significantly better performance and capabilities than 4600 afaik

so he should be able to play the game normally at normal settings

yes I do encounter some problems but thats usually because of lack of VRAM, but this Kiana has more VRAM than i have and better hardware overall so it should be able to play fine at least if i compare to my pc on DDR3 with a i5 4590

Not saying you're wrong or anything, 520 is a more modern igpu series and performs better (assuming no other differences). at the end of the day though both devices are below minimum requirements and performance\stability can't be guaranteed

For this you'll probably need to wait on CS to reply, it's essentially a security flag on the server side that isn't letting you in. There's quite a lot of things that can cause it but while you're waiting on CS to reply one thing you can try that works for some people is to wait at least 3-4 hours from now before trying to log in at all. And then connect to a VPN before you next try to login in 3-4 hours.

it will not, game accounts dont really get deleted. even if you havent touched the game in 7 years your account is still fine so you wont lose any progress. this type of security thing can trigger for a lot of reasons like too many logins or account actions from your IP address which is why for some people a VPN works as a temporary workaround but theres a lot of other things that can set it off so until they reply just make sure to wait a while like at least 3 or 4 hours before trying again but i hope they figure it out soon so you can get back to playing :3

so i accidentally downloaded a virus? or trojan idk

the pc run, i havent shut it down and not going to

theres some threats found and i c;icked remove in the win defender and now wating

b4 that i ran a full scan that i idk why stopped at 80% since it said no threats found uptil that point

i also ran dism /online / cleanup-image /restorehealth and sfc and chkdsk and they show no problems

now i want your advice

i mean if windows defender gets it all then it gets it all, running sfc /scannow isnt going to do anything unless whatever you downloaded actively corrupted your windows operating system

if you're worried that its not enough then get a 3rd party antivirus like avg or something and run a full maximum depth scan and then schedule a boot time scan and restart

i dont know how long it normally takes, i dont use windows defender so idk how long it normally takes but if you're worried then try the other stuff i suggested and dont download/run things without scanning them first especially if you got them from a sus website

its alright for free ones yeah, none of them are perfect and avg annoys you to pay for it all the time, but you can always uninstall it

just dont forget the boot time scan after doing the maximum depth scan

how to do that

and how long would it take

they are both options in the scan menu in stuff like avg and how long it takes depends a lot on a lot of things, if you have multiple drives, HDD, CPU speed, how much storage is being used, etc.

you'd want to scan every drive connected to your computer, as in depth as available. could take 30 minutes could take 4-5 hours

boot time scan is the same deal it just does a scan before windows loads so it gets viruses that are embedded in the bootup for windows

There's a free option and that's how it looks annoying with trying to get you to pay. If you could see those scary "issues" it's usually stuff like your IP address isn't hidden and stuff

That's not the in depth scan. That's very surface level. The two scan types I mentioned are in the run other scans option

The smart scan is fine for an every week quick check but you actively have a virus in there so it needs to be deeper lol

But np I hope it gets rid of it and be more careful in the future
