Hopefully. I haven't tested if the hoyoplay launcher will accept a steam installation but if it does work that is how you would make it happen

yeah, thats how it works to find installations if you like had it installed on another computer and copied all the files over, but i guess the steam one is just too different or something
but what you could do is uninstall it on steam and then install it in a custom folder on the same drive steam has it on right now
the overall size is pretty much the same for the steam and the launcher versions

and rip, there is one other thing you can try
you can try the collapse launcher from the download pin, it is fine to use and it has a steam to regular version conversion option last i checked so you can try that to use the collapse launcher to convert your steam installation to a regular one, it also is able to manage all hoyoverse games like hoyoplay so if you play any others then that launcher will work with those too

mhmm it has a lot of options, like changing the graphics and stuff outside of game, setting custom fps options, stuff like that and i will stress again that its fine to use, the custom launchers in the pin here are verified fine to use and wont get you in trouble with the anticheat or anything like that
ohh modded! i remember using these things to get higher fps by lowering graphics more than it can be in game settings and stuff
or changing config stuff if there is

my problem with collapse launcher is solved and wanted to share info here if same happened
i were doofy and chose the collapse folder installer installing in honkai steam game files so it interfaced with it and couldnt be done

but like i said it should start a new account if you havent played since 2018, you could try the account retreival in the bottom right corner if you want to try to link your old mihoyo account to a hoyoverse account but tbh the new player rewards are far far better than returnee rewards so you will get a lot more crystals and battlesuits and stuff for starting over

different in what way? its the same version but with a different login, if you use controller it might be different defaults until you get to the menu and can change it, if its not that then its probably the graphic settings being default from what you had it last set to
yea it more like shader compiling is different not just game settings
its more feels like optimised for pc

ah i see, yeah the shader compiling does happen in the regular version on first startup, theres also some shader settings in the settings that can make it look a bit different
but i do know that the reason the conversion from steam to global works in collapse without having to redownload anything is because the game files themselves are identical so its a different of steam managing the game vs the collapse launcher

I will say for the purposes of finding out what this error code is, it is universal to any game on hoyoplay, i see other people saying they have it but not what it means exactly so unless they need you to like manually download it or anything, any CS would be able to tell you what the error code means
im not sure, beta often has unique and often temporary issues/fixes so they are probably seperate

can you log into hoyolab or account.hoyoverse.com with that same account?
and if you cant, do you know your hi3 accounts UID?
if you cant log into account.hoyoverse.com with that same account and stuff like password reset doesnt work then if you know your UID then email customer support (heres their email addresses #how-to-contact-cs ) and they can help find your account. it might be something as simple as you had it on google 3rd party login but thought it was linked to your email or something.
If you could login on HoYoLAB, check Battle Chronicles and stuff to see if it's actually associated with your game account(s).
hello! did hoyolab launcher just updated? and game aswell.. am asking as were messing with game files xd and making sure i didnt mess thing up
were changing files between steam and client to swap between accounts
yes hoyoplay launcher had an update, but i thought you were using the collapse launcher to play
after the update and changing files maybe collapse didnt recognise the update or something.. had to use hoyolab for repair and update then could use collapse peacefully after
ah i gotcha, but yes hoyoplay did have an update though those arent very often so it probably wont happen again for a while
hi, has anyone else get this error message when trying to open the game? i've tried everything just to fix it but it's not working at all
usually restarting your device or closing any process monitoring software (like task manager, processmon, etc) but since that is also mentioning an antivirus, have you tried temporarily turning off your antivirus to see if it works? and if it does work with the AV off then you might need to add hi3 as an exception in the antivirus

then it has an antivirus, windows by default has windows defender antivirus on it
well, its not called windows defender anymore, just windows security
but you might need to turn that off if possible or whitelist/make an exception for hi3
and if that doesnt work then that was everything i could think of off the top of my head so you might need to contact customer support #how-to-contact-cs

is there anyway to turn off automate characters switching on combat? for example when i use seele it automatically switches to vita this is annoying
thats not a feature to automatically switch characters, theres an option to turn their QTE off but that doesnt affect the character themselves being switched in. so it has to be a different button being pressed than you're intending, are you on mobile or pc? if you're on pc are you using keyboard or controller?
and just to confirm what is happening is that when you go to switch a character a different character is the one being switched in?
like for example if you go to press 1 to switch to the top character, the bottom character (default keybind is 2) is the one being switched in?
if that is what is happening, you can try to repair the game files by running the repair tool both in the launcher and in the bottom left of the login screen, but if that doesnt change anything then you might can try changing the keybinds in the settings to see if its the game or your keyboard acting up.
if its just randomly changing characters without you doing anything at all then try the above again and see if its the keyboard maybe having a sticky key that goes off or if its the game

Is it still pain in the ass to make honkai run on steamdeck without installing windows on it?
im assuming you're not wanting to use the steam version so it does require a bit more work to install and use the hoyoplay launcher than just install and click the icon. like at the very least you have to add the hoyoplay launcher as a non steam game. some people say it works though so it does work as far as i know

luna im sorry to bother you with this issue again but is there anything at all I can do about the HI3 crash problem, remember it only crashes on sparkle CA
NOTHING else affects it no matter how much more graphic demanding or ram or whatever no matter what settings
sparkle crashes the game even when im playing on freaking 512x460 something resolution with minimum settings and 15 fps cap
and it only started happening since this patch
surely one patch cant change something that ONLY when i try to use one specific skill of one specific valk that the game freaking crashes
i can literally put the game at noraml to HD setting on ANY other valk I have like PAWS or smth and the game is FINE
but sparkle CA just crashes the game and its annoying
even if its a bad hardware issue, why only on sparkle CA and why only in HI3?
I've played wuwa just fine on this PC (although I barely get fps) but the game doesn't crash and is playable
and i believe wuwa is a far more graphically and memory demanding game then HI3

yes the steam version does not use the hoyoverse accounts. the game accounts themselves are in GLB but since it auto logs you in with a 3rd party account using your steamID, you cant use your hoyoverse account to log into your usual account

this is relevant only if we assume every valk uses the exact same special effects, particle effects with the same graphics package, etc
best guess i have is that its using something that your gpu drivers dont have the ability to do, or do so so inefficiently compared to other things that your underspec device cannot handle it. but considering that you've already tried a low resolution its probably the former.
please dont bring other games like hsr, wuwa or genshin into this, even between hsr and hi3 and genshin they are made by different teams, with different processes and should be considered totally different games as far as what they actually ask your computer to do. the fact that others work is also honestly irrelevant, having a similar art style doesnt really mean anything tbh. if your core issue is that your drivers are from before hi3 even initially released in CN then its a miracle imo that any of the games you mentioned including hi3 run at all, let alone usually stably. but i already suggested everything i know to alleviate the symptoms, but the answer is still the same as the previous handful of times we talked about this which is that with an under spec/old device even if the game runs i cannot guarantee its stability.
sorry that i dont have anything new for you to try, but technically speaking the game shouldnt even be running and you're already doing everything i can think of to make it less bad when the main issue is that your gpu drivers are almost a decade old iirc
imo with the hyper specific things crashing it, its because the game is doing effects that your gpu just does not know how to deal with in the slightest because it hadnt been invented yet

esc is already the pause button by default if you go to the menu tab. in stages it is the stage pause button and on the menus it is the back button

its not grayed out, it should if you click on this part it should then take the next button you push as the keybind
if nothing happens when you try that try restarting your device
while i check a few things can you restart your device (not just the game) and try again to change it back to esc?
if that still doesnt work you can always click reset settings to default at the bottom to reset just that section
so assuming thats the case, ig they added some new effects for sparkle or something since it was working perfectly fine before this patch?

its most likely hardware imo, games/engine/shaders... are optimized for modern hardware, so they don't take in count how a feature can work on below min specs systems, and like any other live service game, an "optimization" for new hardware can make old one break (iirc they fix some animation issues with sparkle this patch, but that fix probably break it for your system)
your only option is to talk to cs and inform about the issue, if the devs find a way to make it work will get fix, if not, time to get a new device, (or cross fingers and probably get accidentally fix in the future if they change something and make it again "compatible" with your system)

i would need confirmation that it is a bug first to say that. I personally dont think its a widespread bug at least since no one else has reported it but you never know. CS can help with that question

i gotcha, like the pin says if that doesnt fix it then its definitely a connection issue so try the stuff in that pin (for restarting the router, for phone you can put it in airplane mode and then wait 1 minute and turn it off if you're using mobile data)

to fix that close the game and then hold shift and click start game (while still holding down shift) and after 5-10 seconds (while still holding shift the whole time) a setting menu should come up where you can change the resolution

i was finally able to go past the sparkle CA animation by pausing the game mid animation BUT when i try to QTE to another valk the game crashes just like b4

why can I not switch valkyries when I use this bridge theme? the fugg oyohim
part 2 bridges act like a "pause menu", they use the last valk/AO you used in the hub, as well as the background that change depending on where you paused the game.
if you want to use any of the p1 valks then you can go into the settings to change the bridge theme to one of the older ones and there the usual change valk button is there (including for all part 2 valks) but for the part 2 bridge theme like iho said its just whatever character you had last in the last location you were in

yeah the hitbox for that stage is a little weird, give me a sec to remember where to tap
sorry im pulling a brain fart on where it is exactly and cant find a picture of it, but try pressing all over the icon itself, as well as the 2-6 underneath it and the homu next to it and it should let you in. its been a bug this patch where its hitbox is a little off

hey so... question... ive beaten all of pt1 so far. would reinstalling the game (deleting all its data+cache and launching the game) install pt1 again? or can i select what data gets re-downloaded before it starts downloading everything? (for mobile)
There are some chapters that are required to have, but for the rest, you can delete the assets on the resources menu (Ai-phone)
A reinstall its going to be better, more if you didn't make one for a couple of ver., some stuff, like event assets don't get fully deleted after an update and after a while can take more storage that is really need it

how finnicky are we talking? I mean if you can emulate it as an xbox 360 controller it should work if it wouldn't otherwise (there are programs to do that)
it likes to disconnect from my pc, even using DS4Windows (ds4 windows occasionally causes doubled inputs) along with sometimes not even being detected as a controller (even with reinstalling drivers for it. its a ps4 controller that ive had for a long time)

Please make sure to connect the controller using a USB cable or Bluetooth 4.0 adapter or higher to connect to the PC.
If the above methods do not work, please add BH3.exe to Steam, and run the game on Steam with Steam opened as Administrator with the controller detected on Steam (NOT install the Steam version of the game).
If the issue still persists, you can try using controller wrappers like DS4Windows, XOutput, SCPToolkit, and more.

Hey guys. I am seriously thinking about making a switch to Linux for good. Are there any reliable guides for HI3 (and HSR) to run them on Linux? I quickly checked the pins but saw nothing related
none that i'd be willing to include in the pins honestly, Linux is not a supported environment so its a run at your own risk kind of thing. Some people say they've been playing on it for years with no problems, other people say they've been auto banned by the anticheat so its hit or miss with that

anticheat is pretty fussy sometimes in virtual machines. if it noticies its in one it doesnt like that enviroment

and now ur not using so your ip is different
u need to wait 5-7 days before ur able to change email and password
is a security messure from hoyo for account hijacking protection
but u will be eventually able to change it
Hello! I somehow lost japanese voice over in chapter 20 cutscenes, tried googling the issue, but most of the info is from years ago, and doesn't really help anymore. I did already try to remove the video folder and reinstall it with the repair game function, but it still doesn't have japanese voice over
what exactly is your issue? is the videos that don't have voices or the game itself? and did you check that you have the assets downloaded for the chapter? (Ai-phone->Resources)
Just the videos, everything else is voiced correctly, and yes I have everything downloaded. Older unlocked videos also have the voice-overs, it's just chapter 20 for now
If it's just those, and previous chapter cutscenes work fine along with non cutscene audio for chapter 20 then considering what you've already tried, try going to AI Chan phone > resources and delete the chapter 20 resources, then redownload them and then once those are done. restart your computer or phone before trying the chapter again. If it still doesn't work please contact customer support s they can help with stubborn cutscene issues

np and good luck! theres a few CG issues that customer support have to help with but one thing that i forgot to mention, if it still isnt working after you've restarted your device and previously you did the repair from the launcher (if you're on pc) then make sure to do the repair at th elower left of the in game login screen as that also checks for corrupted assets (like the video files)
Sorry the delay, my internet is acting weird, but that should be normal for the videos, when those chapters released JP didn't got VA so the videos are "muted", with later chapters they released the voices for the "gameplay" scenes of those chapters but the videos stay the same
Still most of the videos of those chapters don't have voicelines so you don't miss much and the very important ones have voices

No, when chapter 20 released, the game didn't got JP VA... iirc 21 too, with 22 iirc the added all the voice lines, CN VA had voices since release for those chapters
huh, cuz i know some of the characters arent voiced in jp for 29-30 but i dont remember chapter 20 having no VA for any cutscenes

Most likely, CN didn't got any issue with voices, for the ones that play on JP had to wait for get them fix, the videos sadly are still "muted" but because most of them are "loops" they get audio from the dialogue scenes

Now that I remember about chapter 20... 22 to be exact, I had to check them when I installed on my phone to get rid of the "new" (idk why always those chapters get that with a reinstall for me), but the ex stages got reset for me, like I never play them, it is just me?

I changed hi3's resolution to what I wanted it to be in regedit and it worked for a second.
everytime i launch it, for one second its my desired resolution
then the next it reverts back to full-screen..

sometimes the game overrides non default values, try leaving the game full screen, open it up and in the in game settings change it to some windowed mode resolution. then close the game and edit the registry values to your desired resolution and that usually makes it stick since if sounds like its overriding what your doing with fullscreen mode

ah i see, tbh i dont think i've ever seen a staff say anything in this channel except one time when all of the servers went down and they just apologized for the inconvinience and said to wait. i dont think its reliable to assume they're watching this channel at all tbh, your best bet is to report it to customer support through the in game support menu or via email so that whatever you have to say does get looked at by staff and if needed then they'll gather information and pass it onto the devs
hmmm tried some times to contact the customer support but felt like I went straight to AI answers which were... not really helpful, and when I asked for a change it got ignored and was put in version by version over and over again
I know someone that used to work at hoyoverse CS, they dont (or at least didnt) use AI but they do have a script and are required to add things to their email signature and so on so they do have email templates they use while they try to figure out what is going on and questions they are required to ask, i've been working helpdesk for over a decade its kinda like that with most large companies. They have templates they are supposed to use and a list of troubleshooting they need to try, some places even require you to try all the troubleshooting steps even if the customer says they've already done them and stuff 
I will say directly contacting customer support is very different from version feedback surveys though, i have no idea how many of those are read, or if they are read then what suggestions get prioritized or not based on the companies needs

resizing the borders that way has been turned off, probably to keep people from accidentally doing it mid fight or something.
one thing you can try is holding shift when clicking play in the hoyoplay launcher and keep holding shift until you get a unity settings window and try setting it to window mode in there and see if that works.
but if that doesnt let it run in windowed mode. you might want to try contacting customer support ( #how-to-contact-cs ) since it honestly should have that option in the graphics menu and its really weird that it doesnt.
but if you have a decent unlimited internet you can always try reinstalling the game, but i am not that confident that that will change anything and thats a big download. You might need to reinstall your graphic drivers 
okay hiii im like new here.... in the server.. but im trying to log into an old account that was used on a different apple id icloud thingy and ive been trying to log in for an hour or so?? ive been on apple id and icloud and its not done much to help. when was the last time you played the game with that account? and what is the issue that you are getting exactly? (like you are getting an error msg, you login but is a lvl 1 account, say the account doesnt exist, etc.)

no no no, that annoucement was advising they're removing the account retrieval button on the login screen for captain initiated account recovery process. You can still easily do it through customer support.
but the reason they're getting rid of that button is because the only scenario that it is actually useful to anyone is if you have not touched the game at all since mid 2022 but remember your old login, and have a hoyoverse account that currently does not have a hi3 game account on it.
so you have to know your old login, and have not touched the game at all in over 3 years.
all thats changed is you now have to contact customer support to do it instead of doing it yourself

they're basically getting rid of it because its not useful to over 99% of players now, and probably causes confusion with players thinking its a get your hoyoverse account back button. and theres still a method to link your mihoyo account to your hoyoverse account which is going through customer support
but for this captain, their issue is guaranteed they're either using the wrong hoyoverse account, or are logging into the wrong server. I can help figure out if they're on the right server but if they are on the right server then they just need to contact customer support with their UID and explain their issue and CS will tell them what login they need to use
im having issue with yippee arena it constantly has that loading circle thing when i try to go against someone and without fail it does the infinite loading and i have to exit the game completely and its the only gamemode that does this i finished the yippee story thing and challenges I just cant do yippee arena

Not unheard of, but the spinning yellow circle always means there's a connection issue, it doesn't refer to anything else

If you are on phone try mobile data too but you might need to contact your ISP since it's likely an unstable network for your general area or check in with hi3 customer support to see if this game mode is having issues, but tbh your the first person to report it in here for specifically this this patch so it's probably your ISP, that's what it usually is and the connection issues pin is some things to get around the most common ISP issues
So if none of those work I recommend checking in with your ISP but these kinds of issues usually also go away on their own after a few days to a couple of weeks. Since it's happening on multiple devices too it shouldn't be a corrupted game file either

restarting the game doesnt do anything since it does the same again, game isnt froze its just the quest ( tried on mobile and pc )

Accounts don't get deleted on their own. Did you use to play on the steam version and if not then yeah like ram said try to find an email from hoyoverse or you can also get your UID that customer support needs by having a friend look at your account, or if you've shared an invite code anywhere those have your UID in it too

Hello, I'm a new player, I have issue with picking character to fight/play in the game. So I have the new character(Miss pink elf, the red one on the main menu?), but when doing story content, it don't appear that character as an option to choose from in chapter 5 (Tundra reunion) (other chapter (from 1 to 4) are fine), how to fix the issue? I restarted the game (to change language to eng for more understanding, but that doesn't help with the issue).
One more issue, is this game trying to refuse vpn connection, it's unstable(refuse to connect on the login screen) when having the vpn on than off?
i didnt play the steam version, and also i dont think i had any friends i played honkai with either so idk :(

To clarify on this part, nothing was deleted, your main hi3 is either on a different server, or a different hoyoverse account so when you went to log in the game saw that they're was no game account data there and started a new account

For your first issue, there honestly is no fix. the new characters with their fancy things like the ability to jump kind of break the old maps from the 2016 era of the game xD so they basically disabled all of the part 2 characters (the ones with the astral ring skill system). But tbh after a bit more you can't bring your own characters anymore since you are forced to use a geared up trial version of the character the current chapter is focused on. (This is so that people don't have to participate in the gacha to experience the story, and it's a bit more immersive)
For your second issue, if there are connection issues when you turn the VPN off then that just means there's connection issues with your Internet connection and the hi3 servers specifically, honestly using a VPN is one of the workarounds for this lol but the non VPN issue usually goes away on it's own within a few days usually, but you can also do things like try a different Internet connection and stuff like that to fix it. The cause of the issue is that your ISP (Internet service provider) is routing your hi3 connection to a spot where it's failing or something and using a VPN takes a different route to the hi3 server so that's why it works with the VPN on.
It's all good and no hassle! I'm just glad you're in now

Hey, I wanted to try out Honkai Impact 3rd again after my last play from 2018, and it'd appear the game is stuck at "press anywhere to start". How to fix this?
I had also linked it with hoyoverse, so... what now? The server available are only EU and US, trying to play this on android.

for a typical microSD card, loading into a stage would take 5-10 minutes with typical read/write speeds. thats why most big/realtime phone games dont support that

Guys, sorry to bother you, but I think I have a pretty serious problem. When I open the game now it gives me this error (DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL 'AkSoundEngine') and it gets stuck on the initial screen as you can see in the screenshot. I think it might be related to the fact that yesterday I moved and renamed some files. I tried using “Find game”, “Repair files”, and in the end I even uninstalled and reinstalled… but it still doesn’t work. I’m not very experienced with this kind of stuff so I have no idea what to do.
Most likely that file is corrupted, I could be wrong on the location, but go to the game folder, bh3data/plugins and delete the aksoundengine file, and then run a repair.
If that doesn't work, try a reinstall (if you can try a different drive) and make sure that nothing will mess with the files (sometimes some antivirus programs can cause issues if they try to scan the files the same time they are being use by the launcher)
And as last check, run a chkdsk command, just in case is your drive having some issues
(open cmd as admin, and run chkdsk C: /f /r (Replace the "C:" with the letter of the drive you want to check))
If you are going to reinstall the game try to use a mirror #🔌technical-help message
That way you can have a spare file you can copy to the launcher instead of redownload it each time, and once the game is working you can delete it
Ok, something a bit unusual happened. I tried doing the first step you told me exactly as you said, but it still didn’t work, it gave me the exact same error. Then I just tried changing the name of the global folder from "🎮 HoYoPlay" to "HoYoPlay," and it worked immediately after.
Now, I want to think it’s because of your suggestion rather than just me removing that character… otherwise, that would be really embarrassing.
Anyway, it seems to be working fine now, just like usual. So I think I'm good. I can’t thank you enough for your help and the time you spent on this. 
Good that is working and probably that was the problem, using "emotes" in folders can cause some issues with programs/games, I will recommended to not use it on "important" folders because even if they work, there is a chance of corruption, if you still want to "customize" the folder the safe way is changing the folder icon

that error message normally just means like it says that either the account email or password is being typed incorrectly, you can always try resetting the password at the account.hoyoverse.com page for your email address that you're using. if you've been using username then just as a note, the username is set once and cannot be changed, and its not your in game nickname or anything so if you have a hoyoverse account, just use the email address you have for it or if you're not sure if you have a hoyoverse account you can register a new one at account.hoyoverse.com

maybe, if they did something to your internet that would maybe be the reason for the connection issue you might have had a week ago. though with the "account and password error" if you havent yet try changing your password (even though you were able to log into hoyolab). sometimes just changing the password gets it working, if changing your password doesnt work either then all i can think of is contacting customer support #how-to-contact-cs since they can definitely help with account related issues. and dont worry its no problem, you definitely didnt waste my time, im just sorry that the game isnt being easy on you right now for getting back into it

hii, i need some help with login. a few weeks ago (probably nearing the end of november?) i logged into hi3 one day and it said if i wanted to use my game center account, i mistakenly pressed “use another account” and since then i haven’t been able to log in. i used my game center account a lot and i didn’t mess with it. then it started saying to log into game center in settings which was really weird because i was already logged into game center. now as i’m typing this i have to enter an age verification which i’m pretty sure i already did. i don’t want to type anything in because i’m afraid if i do then i’ll lose my account which i worked really hard on. can somebody help me with this? i’m not sure what to do and i’m thinking i’m in jeopardy of losing my hi3 account.
I will say that your account isnt going anywhere, at worst it will accidentally create a new game account on another hoyoverse account and you'll have to log out and log back in but what i would recommend is to first log out of game center in the settings and then log back in.
then open the game and do the age verification and see if it brings you into your old account, if not then close the game and open it again and you should now have a switch account option that you can use to switch to your game center account and your old account should be there. The age verification thing is required if you havent played in a while so it being there doesnt tell me that you're on your old account or not.
but there is no possible way to delete your old account or anything, even if you delete the hoyoverse account its linked to your game account will be just fine so dont worry about losing your old account or anything

I gotcha, even if you havent played in 7 years your account will still be there. even if the game sort of locks you into signing into a new hoyoverse account and that creates a new game account, your old one is still there and should still be linked to your game center hoyoverse account but sometimes game center accounts time out and you need to log out of game center and then back in with the appropriate apple account to refresh it so to speak but yeah go ahead and try that and even if you end up accidentally creating an alt account y our old account is safe and sound

did you check that you login on the correct server/client?
your role say you play on NA, so on the login screen, check the top/right corner and make sure you are entering the game on the correct server

Most likely you will need to contact CS (# #how-to-contact-cs ) and they will help you with the process
but before that, i repeat, first ask on #👶beginner-help about why is better a new account that a returnee one, it is best that you get all the info before you decide between keep the new account or get the old one, because once the old account is linked, is on that HYV account forever.

that message is basically a security flag on the servers side of things, you can try to temporarily get around it with a VPN but thats not guaranteed, you can also try waiting 4-5 hours before trying again but you'll likely need to end up contacting customer support to look into it #how-to-contact-cs

yes its really a security flag on the server, theres a bunch of different ways it can trigger. i know one of the ways is logging into too many accounts or creating too many accounts from the same ip in too short of a time, but theres other ways too that i dont know about so if the workarounds dont work you have to contact customer support

guys how do i switch to SEA server i reinstalled the game after a year or two but that option just isnt there on my ios device
you need to download the SEA client to play on that server
for iOS you need to login on your phone with an appleID from the SEA region, and then the app store will show the correct client (Honkai impact "3" is SEA, "3rd" is the glb client)

iOS is like that, it doesnt care "where" your device is, just where the appleID account is set to
idk why your main account is on there either, but you did have the sea client installed on pc or phone or whatever when you first started so thats where your account is 
but yeah hi3 didnt release all of its servers at the same time, so for the most part the different servers have different clients and for mobile that means the regional version gets put in its regional part of the app store and for iOS it only cares where your appleID is set to when offering a regional app store

I will say for android, since it cares much less where you get apps from you can directly download the glb or sea .apk app for hi3 from the pins in here, its the same package that the play store has so you can just download and open it to install/update the game on android.

can you share your output_log of the game? is there is none try to run the game again and once the crash happen, the file show be created
press Win+R and input:

on the honkai folder search for the output_log.txt file and send it here
for what i find, could be 2 issues
first one your gpu, is old, and for some yrs now had some issues with the game because is below the min specs.
if your new cpu has a igpu you can try to run the game with that and see if doesnt crash anymore, or check if running the game on a low resolution can make it work (hold shift while the game is opening and you will see a setting window)
the other issue could be a corrupted InControlNative.dll you can try to delete it fron the plugins folder and see if the game works, you can play the game without that file but controllers are not going to work until you reinstall the file by running a repair/reinstall the game

Tbh that msg is just telling you that something went wrong and a file was created with some info to help identify the problem, can show on any kind of crash so 2 users with the same "error screen" can have different issues

Always check the device specs. On laptops, most manufacturers use the same “name” for multiple devices, so check the recommended specifications that Luna has shared and try to choose a device that meets at min the recommended specs rather than the “compatible” ones

Yes the game can run, probably on low-mid settings stable (you could high, but depending of the manufacturer settings for the GPU you could get really heavy drops on new stuff)
but at this time, I will recommended to get a laptop with a newer GPU if you can, at min one with a rtx 30 series for NVIDIA, or rx 6000 series for AMD

Yes, laptops GPU are really different between devices, the manufacturers can change specs depending of the needs (like if one decide battery is more important that performance, lowering cost, etc.), and by default they already are less powerfull that the desktop counterpart, the ti model should give a better performance on laptop in general but for the age, I will not recommended it if you can buy something newer
And yes I was taking about stability, the game should still run like 100 fps high on empty scenes, but once you start a fight, will drop to 60 and lower depending of the scene/valks on part 2, but you get better performance with custom settings, before I was taking about the "preset" ones

sadly there is not official support for linux and i will not recommend to trying to run pc ver., as there is a chance of the anticheat getting trigger and you will get the account banned, you should be fine by running the android ver. of the game on linux.
So far I managed to run the hoyo launcher using Heroic with Proton GE but that's all so far... so that won't work?

igpu just stands for integrated gpu, you can think of it as a diet gpu build int your processor (cpu) that uses your regular ram for its video memory (VRAM) its not inherently bad, but they are weaker than dedicated gpu's

hi guys so its been like a year almost two and i still havent gotten my account back and im genuinely desperate, i tried reaching out to the devs but i dont have enough proof of my own account but the thing is, i didnt get hacked i just lost the email to my account when i logged into the hoyo app and now my account is just gone without an email and when i tried to link it to an email it said it already has an email even though it doesnt.. idk what to do 
unfortunately the only way to get your account back in your situation is to work with customer support, if they keep rejecting your ownership proof form due to incorrect or incomplete information then something is either wrong or missing. All i can do is wish you good luck on future attempts and try everything you can think of to be as accurate and detailed as possible. But they do have to basically legally prove that you're the original account owner so thats why they're so strict with it.
You can always try again with more info or more accurate info but thats about all you can do unfortunately

no there is no possible way to remove a character once unlocked, not even customer support can do that
if you logged into an account and it didnt have characters that you've unlocked then you've simply logged into the wrong account or the wrong server
thats what i thought too but its telling me the apple account that i use for everything and havent changed since i last logged in (november 24. 2025) isnt linked to an account, and i found ss of my account on this server showing girls i had that arent showing on my account

oh the account retreival wont help if you last played this year, it only shows mihoyo accounts from before 2022, not hoyoverse accounts. to see what is on a hoyoverse account you have to go to hoyolab and sign in with your hoyoverse account and then check the honkai's battle chronicles and you can check every server there too in case your account is on a different server
if you dont find your normal account on hoyolab then contact/email customer support #how-to-contact-cs with your account UID that you can see if you have a screenshot of your profile page and they'll h elp you figure out what hoyoverse account its on
i dont have one of my profile page only of my home screen and i just checked and its from a while ago. i wish they had that uid in every pic like in genshin... but honestly if i dont find my account im just gonna quit bc it was good and im so sad
i just logged into 6 different hoyolab accounts and my account was on none of them
there are some other ways to find your UID, if you ever shared an invite code then the part before the letters are your UID, or if you have any friends in teh game that you can contact outside the game they can go to your friend profile and see your UID that way too
ive done neither of those things ever
if you talk to any of your armada if you are in one outside of the game then that can help too, but without a UID customer support cant help so your best bet is to check every server with every hoyoverse account you have, i just know its impossible to remove a character you've unlocked so if the account is missing someone you know for a fact you have then its just the wrong game account (which is always wrong game account or wrong server) since game accounts cant be deleted by players or anything

it could still be on a game center account, by any chance did you changed the apple account on your device recently? because the login is automatic could be that you are currently login to gamecenter using a different apple id

I have a honkai acc linked with Facebook and nothing else, i want to deactivate the FB acc linked to it (in the Facebook app) and in hi3 user center doesn't let me unlink FB unless I add email but everytime I try to verify it just says the email has been used even when I never touched it for anything hoyo related... Does anyone know how to fix this?
unfortunately that means that that email address is already in use by a hoyoverse account (either a different one or the same one but it sounds like a different one that you may have made years ago by accident)
you can either make a new email and use that for your hi3's hoyoverse account or make a new email then go to account.hoyoverse.com and log into it with your main email address (you may have to do forgot password to sign in) and then change that hoyoverse account to your alt email which will free up your main email to be used to link with your hi3 account's hoyoverse account.
how to locate the game in hoyoplay app?'
for example, i did copy ZenlessZoneZero_Data folder and paste it somewhere else then after installing windows again now i want to locate that folder so it doens't download 118gb'

there is no setting to disable that in the game, your only option would be to use the bridge hyperion 11 to make it move less on the main menu or if you are on android depending on your phone you might have the option to disable gyro (most only have it in developer options)

P2 bridge has who your active character in your party is for the p2 stuff, sadly it cant do older characters since they cant be in the P2 party, but what kind of phone do you have? I can check how to turn off the gyro if you want if its possible
ahh I haven't played P2 yet. I have a Samsung tho, S23 so fairly new
ah i gotcha, so theres no way to turn off the gyro just for hi3, you would have to disable it entirely for the phone which if you use like google maps or stuff can mess with that but if you want to you can turn on developer options by goint to settings > about > software information and tap on build number about 5-7 times and then go into the developer settings > quick settings developer tiles > and turn sensors off
or just play it on computer... there is no shake interaction with the game
there is that, theres also phones with no gyro in them that dont have screen shake either xD

Stuck there for 4~5 days i don't understand why the heck i have that bug
could be 2 things... a connection issue so is unable to go to the next step (the steps on this pin should help you)
or if you have a slow device/network, can take a while for the files to get installed/verified, just waiting is the solution on this case

Aaaaaaah so annoying (also thank for the info i didn't know it was here i just came here to ask for help)... Why i have to be the few ppl that can't play Hi3rd... As f2p it completely f* me over if my problem isn't gone this week (ER, daily cristals etc)
I knew i wasn't the only one just that that some ppl on reddit apparently got the the same bug but solved it by doing some sh*t on data file whatever it's and i did It too but to no avail
tbh you are kinda lucky, you said is your first time with this problem, there are some users that, because of their ISP, have this problem constantly and playing with a vpn is like a habit 
but as I said before once the server are working, try to start it normally first, I would recommend you to wait on the screen for a few minutes because of the patch (I don't think more than 15-20min) if you still have the problem, use a vpn.

yep that fixed it. removed both the pck file and the line from the version.txt

ah you dont have the captain role thats why, gotta read past the rules page to the botom to see how to get that role so you can post screenshots
but for 10014 its a corrupted file when updating, you can retry a few times if you want or you can also go to the folder specified in the error message and delete the file it mentions and then it should redownload ok hopefully

tbh its just a corrupted download, i think the record was around 20+ times from people trying to bruteforce it,
have you also tried running the repair in the launcher im guessing?
might check to see if you have any torrents/AV scans or anything going on with that drive that is looking at a high drive usage or something since that might make the files be counted as "in use" during installation
actually double check your antivirus and maybe try turning that off real quick while downloading

are your phone and your gf's computer downloading the update from the exact same wifi router?
tbh regardless of how weird that is, the error message still just simply means those downloads are corrupted, generally speaking this is only caused by network issues but regardless of the sourcethe only fix i know of is to go to \Honkai Impact 3 ###\Games\BH3_Data\StreamingAssets\Asb\pc and delete the specified files and have the game redownload them until it stops doing that and lets you in once they are all good.
and yes i am aware the files change all the time, theres likely a couple of dozen or more corrupted files but the error message only shows a few at a time so its normal to have it be different files. oh and make sure the game is closed when you're deleting them so it goes like take screenshot > close game > delete files > open game, and repeat till it goes away
could always try customer support #how-to-contact-cs to see if they have a different solution but for the last few years thats the only fix that im aware of

oh heres an idea try whitelisting hoyoplay in your AV and firewall, but if that doesnt work im not sure, im not familiar with hoyoplay error codes since theres so many of them so you might have to try customer support #how-to-contact-cs
ok good luck! remember that the recor iirc was over 20 rounds of that a few years ago so it can be a lot for sure to clear out all the corrupted ones

im not sure if it would help tbh but if theres no other processes running that are accessing that drive, then unless that error message is referring to something else that it doesnt talk about that i dont know about then i think its an AV or firewall issue causing it since theres not much else that could be blocking a download or making the download files be "in use"

it in theory is supposed to auto delete them so if you dont find them its fine, just as long as you verify they're gone
if you already check every program that could "use" the files, it could be the launcher itself having some issues, you could try reinstall it, if you are using a "3rd party store" launcher (like EGS or Google) try to use the one from the official site to install the update
or if you want you can try to use a custom launcher, they can give you better info if something fails #🔌technical-help message
(idk if Better is using the new "update" system or the old one)

for what i saw... i think the "base files" of your install are corrupted... probably a reinstall will be a better option, or if you want to keep doing the same, after you delete the files on the error msg and before you go back to the game, run a repair on the launcher

i was using the official launcher, but dead end.
seems to be reupdating on the betterlauncher so ill just wait it out
i already uninstall reinstall 2 time ... i think is not a good idea it change nothing

Well i explain...
after few restart ...
the file error never appear in folder .. ( i wrote every single file to check !!! )
if the game delete automatically the file ... why dont just brutforce the download !
i just reload ( in game no restart ) again and again and again the download and it finally WORK !!!
we are close to 15-20 re download for make it work
