pretty much yeah, you can try a different VPN or something but if its possible you might need to try a different internet connection like mobile data or if you play on a laptop at a different location.

you can also complain to your ISP, they do take your money to allegedly provide a stable internet connection

hoyoverse accounts have been the only way to log into the game since july 2022 so its on a hoyoverse account already. You couldnt have played at all in the last 3 years if it was not (not counting the steam version specifically)

but it sounds like its connected to a hoyoverse account with google 3rd party login linked to that. you can check if theres any other logins and stuff linked to that hoyoverse account by going to account.hoyoverse.comm

the google icon 3rd party login is treated as a different thing than the email, even if the email happens to be for that google accounts email address. pretty much all games that use 3rd party logins have that so you just gotta use the google icon instead of email login

and if you want to link an email address, you'll need to use a different one unless you want to delete the entire hoyoverse account that your email is being used by, though i dont recommend that since it'll get rid of any other hoyoverse games on that hoyoverse account too

dont be, unless you're pretty familiar with the whole hoyoverse/mihoyo account system change then it wouldnt make sense i think. i've just been helping people with that account change thing since 2022 so im pretty familiar with it

yeah they misread it, if that was happening then that would disable 3rd party logins (like google, facebook, twitter, etc) for all hoyoverse accounts and all games so hi3 wouldnt be the only one getting a change, something affecting hoyoverse accounts would affect all of their games since all of their games use hoyoverse accounts these days

yes, back before hoyoverse existed as a company all of their games including hi3 used mihoyo account system. After genshin came out and hoyoverse was a company people were asking hi3 to switch to the new hoyoverse accounts for ages becuase in part they were much more secure. mihoyo account system didnt even have 2fa like hoyoverse does and stuff so they were much easier to steal.

So back in 2022 they had like a 6 month long in game linking event and at the end of july 2022 they flipped the switch so the only way to log into the game was with the hoyoverse accounts, but for the captains that never linked their old mihoyo accounts to the new hoyoverse account system they added that account retreival button so that people could link their mihoyo accounts to hoyoverse accounts. but thats the buttons only purpose is to do that one thing it cant do anything else so 3.5 years after the fact is enough time to get rid of that button and just have any one who didnt get the memo for the last 4 years contact customer support for their mihoyo account linking needs

It's really simple on paper, I need to reinstall my gpu drivers because my pc put itself in fucking sleep mode and didn't wake up properly and it caused the drivers to have a meltdown and not work anymore

yeah i'd try restarting, if that still kills your keyboard and mouse at this menu then i'd recommend trying to plug your keyboard into other USB slots on your pc, preferably ones directly connected to your motherboard in the back or just different USB slots

Afaik, some object use "physics" to simulate like for example bounciness when some items drops, if is off will still act like it had physics but like "preset" ones, if they still work like before, will get affected by fps

Yes sometimes is just the connection having issues and in other is a wrong "stimated percentage", can still be downloading/installing after reaching 100% on this last one waiting is the only solution

I'd recommend as a first thing to try is running the repair from both the launcher and the in game repair (bottom left corner of the login screen) and then restarting your laptop before trying to fully log into the game again

GI is on a different server so that honestly kinda doesnt matter as far as network connections go.

usually if restarting the modem fixes it then iirc thats sometimes because of buffer bloat but any modem can get that issue from time to time

the rest of the time its because of ISP routing issues and restarting it sort of refreshes its routing routes and since thats on your ISP, the modem you have doesnt matter

If it is, just go to the games install location and copy the entire honkai folder to your external drive (please put it in its own folder) and then do this

please keep in mind that the game will have performance issues if put on an external hard drive (one that is connected via USB cable) because of the bottleneck in USB transfer speeds

Thats a security flag on the servers side, you can try a VPN if you want to try to get around that temporarily but you will probably need to contact customer support ( #how-to-contact-cs has their email addresses)

please note that using a VPN isnt a guaranteed to work thing, and doesnt always stay working if it works temporarily so i do recommend mainly just contacting customer support about it

Old Windows PC. Nvidia 650 GT, i3-2130 and 8 Gb DDR3. It is under current minimal requirements, but I read old ones before installing the game. The game goes pretty well with quality preset but crashes randomly. With all settings to minimum it almost never crashes, but looks ugly.

I get this error:

d3d11.dll caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005)
in module d3d11.dll at 0033:b958c370.

It can happen due to old video drivers, but I already have the latest ones that support my card (475.14).

that is normal, apart of the outdated drive, your device is way below min specs (a gtx650 should run a little better that a gt 650m, but still not a good one for the game), so only on low settings the game will be "stable", on high settings you device will start using more resources from your system just for the graphics at the cost of leaving less for the game/OS causing crashes

you should still be able to play on low (settings and resolution) but once you start playing with newer stuff in the game (valk/story/maps) crashes can still show up

if you want to play on higher settings, you only option is to get a better device (Honkai Impact 3rd recommended specs)

the only tip i know of to decrease crashing/improve performance for a device that has lower than the minimum VRAM for any of the newer stuff is to run the game in a low resolution like 1024x720 or something like that. that'll help any lack of vram issues but with the old drivers theres no way to avoid crashes and stuff if a new special effect uses things that werent invented yet for your drivers

if none of that helps either you can try reinstalling, but its probably a modem or ISP issue at that point and you might need to call them

If it says that its open or access denied then triple check that all the game launchers are closed, can try restarting too in case one of the launchers isnt showing up but is open in the background. If its giving a different error then i'd have to see the error but usually if you can do stuff with files in a folder but the folder itself says access denied or something like that then its usually becuase another program has that folder open and so windows is waiting for that to put it back before letting you delete stuff that an open program is using

If you played any moment after mid 2022 your account is already linked so the "account retrieval" is not going to work for you, that is only for linking old mihoyo account to a HYV one and that can only be done 1 time

If you still don't link it, that screen from the photo is for login to the HYV account you want to link your old account, so is asking you to login/register.

yeah thats most likely it, the connections pretty unstable so if theres a hiccup going on at the moment the menu stuff will be unresponsive, for being in combat outside of starting and ending the battle where the game communicates with the server a network connection isnt needed for while you're actually fighting so once it loads in and stuff it'll perform fine and then load a while at the victory screen

the issue should in theory fix itself if you go on mobile data or use a different wifi like the one at home that your pc uses

it uses your steamID to directly make an account on the global server but since that account doesnt use hoyoverse is why there is no login screen

you can download the regular launcher and stuff, but it will start your account over from the beginning (since its a different game account and all that) so thats up to you if you want to restart or not

but can the launcher work on same steam files ? like uhmm not having the same game again two times

That's fair xD but it'll probably start you over at the very beginning. But that is the one major downside to steam is that since it doesn't use the hoyoverse account system at all you can't do any of the outside the game hoyoverse stuff with it or play on mobile with the game account

You can try to manually locate the game with the launcher instead of downloading it again, there's a find games button below the download button and just point it at the folder where bh3.exe is

I haven't tested it, but that is how you get the launcher to take over existing installations that are somewhere else
