Try closing the game, right checking that your sound is set to the right output and then open the game again and see if that works

this isn't Hi3 specific, but it's related to the entire hoyoplay launcher (and other launchers, WuWa, curseforge, etc.). Whenever I open one of these launchers, it opens, then immediately freezes for a second, and closes. This happens seemingly at random. The past 2 times it's happened (it's happened after every time I started up my computer), it'll just randomly start working again after doing something (or just waiting some time). All of this started after my computer bluescreened while playing a different game the other day. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
how can I manually uninstall hi3 (and other hoyo games by extension). I wanna just uninstall and reinstall, see if that fixes it, but trying to uninstall opens the launcher, which as I've said, crashes a few seconds after startup

yeah, trying to uninstall through the windows system settings opens up the hoyoplay launcher anyways

I doubt it's an issue that uninstalling and reinstalling would fix though. Even things like the resource monitor (opened from task manager) crash after opening it up

I have one psn linked to hoyoverse account yeah. But im not at my friend house in england anymore. Was wondering if i could do that. I already sent form to cs for unlinking.
once its unlinked it shouldnt matter if you change the login email before relinking it to your hoyoverse account since you're linking it to your hoyoverse account, not the login email address
so i dont see why you couldnt change your hoyoverses accounts email from one of your emails to a different email you have and then assuming there isnt a psn on it or anything i dont see why you couldnt link it since there wouldnt be a linked psn account on your hoyoverse

Might try using DDU to uninstall your graphics drivers entirely and then install them again from scratch.
If your computer bsod's kinda regularly though if I knew the error code number is giving that would tell us exactly why it's doing that

if you're on android you can try deleting the game cache from your settings > apps menu (dont delete data, just cache) and then restart your phone and if that doesnt work its probably a connection issue so i'd try everything in this pin #🔌technical-help message
as a note, the fact you can login and play but cant download doesnt necessarily mean much, the game isnt always online, just needs to connect to the server for a second to upload the fact you beat a stage at the end of it and stuff like that but in general it doesnt have to be online to play a stage, just while menu'ing and at the beginning/end of a stage

yes, theres a few parts where Mei is not voiced due to voice actor stuff, its voiced in CN so you can switch to that temporarily or it'll come back in a chapter or two

my computer rarely BSODs, so I wouldn't know the error code. Also, what's DDU? I'm finding a lot of websites claiming to host the DDU installer download, and obviously they're (probably) not all the real one.
DDU is Display Driver Uninstaller
(this isn't the ZZZ server, but) you can probably just check what date you got a certain character, like Nicole or Anby (I'm sure there's a feature that tells you what date you got certain characters, like GI and HSR)

sorry for not explaining earlier, yeah like teammate said DDU is the display driver uninstaller. the built in uninstallers from nvidia and so on very frequently leave junk data behind and essentially doesnt properly or fully uninstall it cleanly so you can get it from the link just above and use that to cleanly uninstall your graphics drivers at which point you can install them from fresh

hmm in that case all i can recommend is dont try to log into the game itself until you figure out which hoyoverse account its on, but go to hoyolab.com and try logging in with something else and check the battle chronicles to see if you can see your honkai account but since you mentioned email make sure to try google account or appleid account since those dont auto link the email address associated with them.
but try different things with hoyolab to see if you can find your honkai account. also try checking your message history in discord, screenshots, if you have any friends in the game that you can talk to outside of the game message them and they can see your UID and stuff. if you can find it in hoyolab then great, you know what account to use to login, if you cant find it in hoyolab then you'll need your UID so that you can email customer support and have then look up what your accounts login info is

i gotcha, the issue is is that game account progress cant get reset, and it cant get unlinked from your hoyoverse account without the help of customer support so unless something unheard of is happening then its most likely on a different hoyoverse account than the one you're thinking of. i guess if you cant find anything then you can always still ask customer support and see what they say, but they're the only ones that can help with account issues, though they do need your UID so they know which account to look at

no, unless you shared an invite code or shared it via screenshot or something like that with someone else then no, this server doesnt auto collect your UID information

Can someone tell me y whenever I play on any pre mars story missions it keeps getting stuck whenever I move into a new level. It only gets unstuck when I open another random app. I cleared cache and updated the game and still no fix.

shouldnt be any performance issues then with that phone, try restarting the app and at the login screen tap the red repair icon in the bottom left corner and repair the game files, if that doesnt fix it then it might be an issue specific to your device that i havevnt heard of so try customer support #how-to-contact-cs
but repairing should fix any bugged out game issues. so if that doesnt fix it its probably a rare thing with your specific phone but im not sure what that would be

the account retrieval is only for linking old miHoYo accounts to HYV ones, so that option is not going to work for you.
your problem is most likely you are on the wrong server, you can change it on the top-right corner of the login screen, if you don't see that button, you downloaded the wrong client.

Unless you find some info about your account your best bet is to contact customer support #how-to-contact-cs and see if they can help. If you have any friends in the game that you can message in like discord or something they can look at your friend profile and get your UID which customer support can use to look up what your login info is

guys how many fps honkai can reach max on a mobile phone ?
depends on the model of phone, highest i've heard of is 120 fps iirc
but the default fps is 60 or 90, and some high end phones they unlock 120 for that specific device after testing
tl;dr is that the max is whatever you see in the graphics settings
ye i heard 120 is only for iphones but the screen is only 60 hz refresh rate so idk how that works
even if i buy an android is probably locked at 60 fps 
theres 120 for some androids too, its just unlocked for specific device models and only after they test it to make sure it can handle 120 fps just fine. i'd recommend asking CS for either a list of android phones that support 120 fps or if they wont give it to you then ask them for specific models you're looking to purchase

no the UID is not the username, its the default in game nickname which isnt the same thing as the username that you can use to login
just email customer support, explain that you've forgotten your login info and give them your UID and they'll tell you what it is

if you already tried the sfc, dism and all that then a quick question, you said it instantly crashes. does it literally isntantly crash, like nothing even comes up or does it like get into the elevator for a moment before crashing
if it gets into the elevator and stuff, like starts to load before crashing then please also send the output log
Could be just a corrupted dll, a simple delete of that file show on the output file and running a file verify on steam should fix the issue.
And if you are reinstalling i recommend to go to your games folder, and check that is fully deleted, sometimes the uninstall can "fail", leaving some files like a corrupted one, so on the reinstall process those files are skipped in the download process because they already "exist"

did you check that you are login on the correct server? your role say you are on EU server, so check on the top-right of the login screen for the server selection, if you don't see it, you downloaded the wrong client

Anyone else been having an issue in the last version or two with HI3 on PC locking up at the Hoyoverse logo screen sometimes. Doesn't happen with any other Hoyo games and only started recently with HI3. I've checked game files and there are no issues there. Curious if anyone else on PC has been having this issue?
do i gotta use my old android to set up device lock? cus everytime i try on my newest phone it says to “try on usual device.” I’m not even sure if i can run hi3 on that old phone anymore (ive been on iphone for a while now)
I assume it works the same way as it worked with salvaging gear
You need to play on your new device for a week or so until you'll be able to set up the device lock

When i started playing this game and beginner missions were about to die my phone decided to die and i couldn't get past like the half of the Day 3 rewards and I'd like to ask if i could get those quest reactivated instead of deleting whatever progress i made although i barely got a Kira and a Fischl off collab-time through don't even remember what means
you can contact them through the instructions here #how-to-contact-cs, but they'll likely not reactivate the quests; you can try asking them to reset your account progress as it's a reletively low captain level even though, yes, it's not what you'd want
you wouldn't really miss much if you we're to restart though
btw kira and fischl are quite easy to obtain, but aren't really worth obtaining meta wise

no its not possible, steam uses its own login system and cant be linked to a hoyoverse account unfortunately

if you havent made a ton of progress, you could start over, the earlier then the less catching up and all that but steam is convinient and all that but it does have that one major downside

I wouldn't really complain but Vita for me is a powerhouse meta I have, and she's the only one I can't use due to the crashing
yeah that makes sense, so the processor is very weak, but the biggest problem I see is that its GPU is a PowerVR GE8320 and PowerVR graphics is extremely budget and has notoriously had issues with honkai for years tbh so it is most likely the extra fancy graphics for the astral ring characters are overwhelming the powerVR graphics that your phone uses. the only thing i can think of is to go into the graphics settings and individually turn down every setting you can, and turn off battery saving mode since for whatever reason battery saving mode is worse performance wise

rip, i know in the past the performance preset didnt turn everything as low as it could and i forgot if that was still the case or not, but yeah theres unfortunately nothing that can be done unless you want to try anything extreme like rooting your phone to lower its screen resolution and so on to decrease the load on your graphics

just in case for next time
, the game have native support for higher resolutions but the in-game config can get stuck to x max resolution
to fix it, you can change in-game the resolution to a window one and restart the game, after that, higher resolutions will show up on the the settings screen
or you can just hold "Shift" or "Alt" while you click on "Start Game" on the launcher and you get the unity settings menu and change from there the resolution
for other kind of settings or features is better to use a custom launcher
idk if this is appropriate to report here, but the new discord status game link thing doesn't care whether or not you change your status after you open the game
the browser window in the back is viewing my profile from another account
this doesn't happen if you start off being in invisible though
and it will show that you're online on mobile even if you don't have a mobile client online

You have a to report it to discord, that is being a thing with "bot/app" for sometime where the external status get priority when updating your profile once you are "online" on discord

The game have keyboard support on android (probably a left over from pc because you can't see or modify the inputs) so if you have that option you can skip most of the config

if that's the only way to see the creation date, does anyone know what level is needed for that function?

I was one of the captains who messed up their binding process a couple years ago when hoyoverse accounts were required, but never ended up fixing it since there was no way to unbind before
the only way to see the exact creation date is in the game, at the ai chan phone > login menu
one thing i will say that might help, is while you wont get an exact date, you can get it close by trying to remember what version you first started playing, like what valk just got released, or something like that and then you can look up that versions release date on the wiki and put it somewhere around there
even if its not exact, if its really close that might hopefully be enough

Could be a driver problem just a reinstall it or reinstall an old driver
Oh before that you might also want to check your driver settings (Nvidia settings) first, check if there are any adjustment made on the color / brightness department
Never run into that specific one before lol, but if what hero says doesn't fix it then after restarting your device you can try checking for file integrity on steam

Hi, has anyone experienced a problem like this when trying to close the game from a minimized window? After that, I need to kill the process to close the game. It also happens when I try to exit the game using the exit button

Yes you can download the APK from there to update manually, just look at the name of the file to check that is the correct ver. Because can take a while to get updated after MT starts

on Collapse you can try enabling resizeable window, it will try to force the window size to whatever you typed into the column

the problem is that windows is strict with its window sizing and wont allow any application to be larger than the desktop resolutoin
theres some ways around that if you program it specifically in on the source code level with some windows api's but thats not something you can (that i know of yet) do with an application that is already made and all that

Hello, i have a problem when i try to launch the game nothing happend, tried restart & fixing game file still no work, is there a way to fix this problem?
For that, please close the game, then go to the folder in the error and delete the file mentioned in it if present also while you're in there delete the version.txt file and then reopen the game. If you get the error again then hit retry a few times and see if that gets an uncorrupted download

yup, hopefully should be fixed but if your network connection corrupts another file while downloading you may need to delete it as well (dont need to delete the version.txt anymore, just close game, delete file in error message if present, reopen game, rinse and repeat
basically your network connection is corrupting some of the larger files as they download
IIRC, deleting the version.txt file will force the game to redownload the entire audio files. just something in mind if you're on metered connection

ah that would probably cause it yea, try going to your game installation folder, delete the bh3base.dll and then run the repair in the launcher, if that doesnt fix it then you'll need to reinstall

Tried it, the repair does download something but not the things that i just delete. Now if i check task manager somehow there's network happend but no data used (ntoskrnl.exe). Try to open tbe games still nothing happend

yeah i was hoping the "Bad image" at the title of your last error message didnt really mean bad image but it looks like it did so you'll have to completely uninstall and reinstall it

I can't help you, the info is already there
Your error is another, first try to restart your device, and check if the game can download the file correctly after that
You could spam retry too, that works for some users
if you already try what i said before, then could be 2 things, the file is getting corrupted during the download or your windows/drive is having problems, lets hope that is not this last one
first go to the path mention on the folder and delete the file if is still there, then use another network or vpn (you can find one here) to start the download of the file again in game
if is your network giving you the issue, could be a couple of time that you will get the error, but for different files, so check it each time
and last if you still have the problem with the same file, try to install the game on another drive and check, could be that the one it is now is having some problems an probably you have to run a chkdsk command or check the status of the drive

first make sure that you have the files downloaded on the Ai-phone, if that doesnt work, run a files repair on the launcher ( ≡ button) and/or in-game ( 🛠️ on the login screen)

aand ai-phone have all the audio files for older chapters that i don't want to download
i've done them and deleted them for spaace

if some of its still there, go ahead and delete it and if its not there then most likely a cache setting got mixed up so the game thinks it should be there, you can delete your cache with this (keep in mind this will remove your saved login so you will need to remember how you logged in, it will also default any graphics or control keybind settings you may have changed and so on so if you've customized your graphics options you will need to redo those)

yeah that 217MB file is from the from the deep chapter resources, your game thinks it still needs those fror some reaosn
Excuse me, i encounter problem like this. I have finish until the new chapter, but there is one part from chapter V (if not wrong) that still say "ongoing", but there is nothing in main mission list. When on map, there is yellow mark, but when go to that place, nothing happen.
Anyone have this problem?

deleting the appdata folders will download a little bit of that cache, so just the regedit stuff shouldnt download more stuff but let me test i guess so you dont have to download a single more MB

iirc that "mission" starts and is completed on a "CG" that is on a special map, so probably you had to start the mission from the mission info screen on the bridge instead of going to the open world
