no, you have to manually link the account, and since mid 2022 (30/Jun to be exactly) HYV accounts are the only option to play the game, so that means if you play on any moment after that with your account, you already link it to HYV

Please, close both game and launcher.
Press Windows + R, input regedit.

Press Windows + R, and input %userprofile%\Appdata\LocalLow\miHoYo\ in the opened window. Delete all the files in the Honkai Impact 3/3rd folder.
Restart your PC.

Then if you haven't already contact customer support. It's a security measure so there's no guaranteed way to get around it. The stuff that ningyo shared essentially has wired worked, sometimes, for a few people but it's an intended security measure so make sure you contact customer support

you just have to wait, CS is not 24/7, they work from <t:1711764000:t> to <t:1711796400:t> so depending on when you send the ticket could take a little more

Most likely is just the discord client error when is showing for you the current detected game instead of the "status" that everyone see if this one start after
The new one update only after you are on the bridge so is more easy to get that visual bug

Because "hi3 status" is updated online, you can disable the exe detection from the discord settings

That way it will only show the new ver.

When you said account retrieval won't work for me, did you mean that trying to link a different HYV account to my uid won't work since it's already linked to some other account right?

pretty much, account retreivals only purpose is to link the old mihoyo accounts to hoyoverse accounts and only if the old mihoyo account is not linked to a hoyoverse account at all. yours is linked to a hoyoverse account so account retreival wont be able to do fix anything for you.

but yeah it looks like it was yoinked so let them know you dont recognize that email and they'll start the account recovery process.

as for your last question it depends, the hacker couldnt have unlinked your hi3 account, the only people that can do that is customer support so what they probably did was changed the email associated with the hoyoverse account. your email itself isnt the account its just one of the login methods that you can use, plenty of people for instance have only their twitter or what have you and no email so if they changed the login email from yours to theirs, then your email would not be associated with any existing hoyoverse account at that time.

but since you got your account taken please at the bare minimum change the password to your email, and then in the google account settings log it out of all logged in devices. preferrably also change your password for everything associated with your email too since to change the login email for a hoyoverse account they need a verification code that would have been sent to your email so they probably have/had access to your email

if you've been hacked 3 times i'd very highly recommend setting up a phone based 2fa login and get an antivirus that helps scan sites you go to since your browser might be getting hacked too while visiting sites at a minimum

but yeah CS will have you fill out a form to prove you're the original genuine owner of that account and then they'll give it to you once its been accepted.

a lot of times accounts get hacked to sell them so they probably didnt personally want to play on yours

If you've played the game at all since July 2022 then it is linked to a hoyoverse account, if logging into the Google option is starting you over with a new character then double check that you are on the right server at the top right of the login screen (I think yours is America's, not Europe)

If all of that is correct then you'll need to email customer support and explain that you can't login and give them your hi3 account UID number and they'll tell you what you need to do to login.

In that case you'll need to use the account retrieval button at the login screen and you'll have to use the same login that you had before (in your case I think it's the Google account option) and then follow that process to link it to a hoyoverse account. There's an account linking pinned message with guides in it, you can use the video guide to make sure you're doing it right but if you run into any issues or error messages then the full guide by me tells you what to do for those

Yeah it shouldn't be affected by the dual monitors, I've seen this before but I can't remember what fixed it other than a reinstall or if anything fixed it.

I remember someone that had it could hit escape, go to a different menu in the menu (like controls or sound of whatever) and then exit escape and that fixes it for the fight

If it started recently ish could always try restarting the PC and making sure hi3 runs as admin. If their Internet is good or they'll be away from the computer for a whole reinstalling is always an option, but it could also be just a game bug and it's something to report to customer support #how-to-contact-cs

I'll try and see if I can find an example where it got fixed without a reinstall though while I wake up or accidentally fall back asleep

Considering the issue isn't with your keyboard since the game is detecting your inputs, it's most likely bugged out. I'm just having trouble remembering if it's like a rare game bug that doesn't get fixed with a reinstall or not. If it's not too much trouble reinstalling would fix it if it's any issue other than a game bug but if it happens after that then report it to customer support.

It's either the wrong email or the wrong server yeah

Make sure you're on America's and not Europe as a first step. And if you used Google account to sign in please be aware that the Google account login and email login are two different login methods, linking a Google account doesn't auto link the email with it

If it's logging into the right account on iPhone but not PC then you're either using the wrong login method or you're on the wrong server. First double check that you're on the right server and then make sure you're using the same login method at the hoyoverse login screen

Ok, just making extra sure, you said you played on your old account on iPhone so I was confused for a minute.

But that error is good news, that means your old account is not linked to any hoyoverse account, you just need to use a different hoyoverse account than the one you were trying just now. I'd recommend making a new one or if you want to have it in the same hoyoverse account then email customer support

the only way to get the exact date if you havent written it down is if you can log into the game and your account is lvl 60 its at the ai chan phone > login emblem. if you cant do that you'll have to try to remember what version you started that account, like what valk was new and all that and guess based off of the release date of that version

no that would take a while, in fact its best if you dont get more stuff on that account and really j ust dont touch it during the process. you'll just have to use your best guess and hope that its good enough for a low level account like that

But apart of being the game on a HDD that could be causing some problems with the stream speed of the assets, there is a chance is your windows, the 24h2 update have too many issues on the "GPU" side, mostly on games causing them to freeze or hang completely.
For now check first if the game still have issue when using the lowest settings (except the fps)

tbh if the problem is the loading of the assets, doesn't matter that they are old if they load the same way, that is why i ask you to test on the lowest setting
but if you dont to test that, you can try to reinstall your GPU drivers, with DDU if you want to be sure is a clean install, if you have another drive, check if the game still have issues if you move it and/or run a repair of the assets ( 🛠️ on the login screen ) or reinstall the game
if nothing of that works, you can try contacting CS #how-to-contact-cs

but like i said before, there is a chance that could be windows, there are some "common" problems that many users have, but there are other that only a small part of users had and is "fix" if they rollback the update

You can copy the game folder to the new path instead of moving it, if something fails you will still have the old files
And just in case, only move the game folder, not the launcher

Once the game is copy, run the bh3.exe directly and test

so it's a desktop/laptop

if your laptop has a dedicated GPU then you can stream no problem

those without are typically pretty weak and streaming will put quite a stress on the CPU

but yeah if it has performance issues, the fastest way to fix that is to set the output video at a lower resolution like 720p 30fps (or lower) instead of your native 1080p resolution

but according to the FAQ on the event page, meeting the hour+ of streaming, with drops enabled can still not count for a variety of reasons like being in the wrong category and other stuff, im assuming you've checked all of that too in which case you're doing everything right so customer support is the people to reach out to to see if theres anything wrong on hoyoverses end or if its a twitch bug

This info can't really be looked up so you'll have to do your best to remember and be as accurate as possible. For the usual device just put the last device you usually played on, if it's asking about the device used to create the account it would be the first one.

But like I said without access to the account you'll have to make an educated guess, try to remember what valk was new when you started playing or anything really and then you can look up when that version came out. You can also try looking for account registration emails or something like that

2. Press Windows + R, input regedit.
3. In the opened window, please locate \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\miHoYo\Honkai Impact 3 and delete it.
4. Press Windows + R, and input %userprofile%\Appdata\LocalLow\miHoYo\ in the opened window. Delete all the files in the Honkai Impact 3/3rd folder.
   Restart your PC.

Do note that doing this will require you to login again. Linking account is highly recommended.

i did check once again even the uid is different and it is the same email im a bit confused it is like my account exist and not at the same time

a MiHoYo account (old system) and HoYoVerse account are different system, so you can have both on the "same emails" but to play the game you can only use HYV account since mid 2022
the account retrieval is for linking old accounts to HoYoverse accounts, but you can only do it once, after that is link to that HYV account forever
if you already check that you login on the correct server (top-right on the login screen), the best option is to contact CS via email and telling them your issue with your HI3 UID #how-to-contact-cs

the will tell you on what HYV account is your HI3 data, and what did you use to login (something like em***@il.com)

Ah I see, and it's just those chapters? I'd suggest running the repair in both the launcher and at the login screen of the game and if that doesn't help then you'll probably have to reinstall the game but it's not a normal thing so hopefully repairing will fix it. You can also keep an eye on your task manager while loading and if your yard drive usage is 100% you might consider putting the game on an SSD if possible

To record my runs, I've just been using windows G and then uploading the clip to yt since the size is too big. Does OBS have a way to change the recording so the size is big enough to upload directly onto discord without paying for a bigger file size?

you can configure it, but tbh discord only let you upload 10mb as a free user so its going to take a while to find the sweet spot
imo you better use the program handbrake and use their "social" preset to transcoder the video you get from OBS to a lower size one until you find one that fits and looks fine

Tbh I don't think you can get a minute+ run into 10mb without making it super low resolution but if that's fine obs does let you set that in the output settings

here is and example after i used handbrake for a 3min 720p video to transform it to 360p/60fps/250kbps video bitrate/160 audio bitrate... ( free discord pain)
but with the same program i mention you can transcoder your videos to other formats/presets, i use it to reduce videos i want to share but i dont want to upload like +gb for a meme so probably work for you to get a lower size file to upload to YT without loosing too much quality

yeah reinstalling should fix it unless its an issue with your windows that is causing it, you can sometimes fix weird windows issues by opening a command prompt window as administrator and running "sfc /scannow" without the quotes

nah, the launcher one looks at the base game installation (at least it did on the old launcher) the in game one looks at the downloaded assets, the ones you download after the launcher update once you're in the game and you download with the cutscene and stuff

for pc that is, mobile looks at pretty much all the files since the "base game" installation from the app store is like a few hundred MB

it didnt change the login system at all, if its the wrong account though when you login then its either the wrong hoyoverse account or wrong server. if you're on the SEA client then its most likely the wrong account.

but the not remembering the login id can happen for many reasons, pretty much any reason that causes it to not auto login (like connection issue, corrupt registry keys, etc) can do it but it in theory should go back to normal once you get logged into the right account

Looks like a asus vivobook x/s200, i remember that looks like the e series but without the body color on the border of the screen, the problem still will be what are the specs because it can be use for basic stuff if you have the "i3" ver. But nothing more.
If you really need to use the device and you cant get a new one, the best option is to nuke everything and go for a clean windows reinstall, but imo is better to use a lightweight Linux distro for this device

One thing I dislike with the game's presentation is its anti-aliasing implementation. TAA barely does anything, so the only way to have a clear image, is using "very-high" rendering, which just is a 1.5X FSAA, which is very performance heavy. FSR native-AA would solve so many issues

An external one would bottleneck at it's slowest point, the cable connecting it to your computer and will in general be slower than any internal one since internal ones will not be relying on what I'm assuming will be a USB connection.

Fastest "speed" you'd get is with an internal nvme SSD drive.

But if you don't care about the disk usage of the external one since it won't be affecting your current internal one then any SSD speed is fine. Just make sure it's using USB 3.1 or better connection to your computer

well if your only goal is to prevent your pc itself from lagging then any external one should work since the reason your pc itself is lagging when your only hard drive is at 100% is because its the same drive windows is on. maxing out an external hard drive shouldnt lag your pc since windows will be on a hard drive that isnt bottlenecking

Tbh that is kinda normal behaviour on those cases to have a higher usage, but for the "lag" you dont have to take only the storage in mind but your system specs too, for example you can have a "faster" drive but if your device can't "unzip/merge" efficiently, you can still experience "lag" even when you get low disk usage

Do you have the games on the same drive that your OS? And for HYP, do you remember what tasks the launcher is doing when it lag your PC? (Downloading/verifying/Unzipping...)

Probably check the status from those while the task is running, check their temps, usage,...
you can run a command on cmd like chkdsk in case there are some errors on the drive or check the status with tools like crystal disk, or even if you have any other drive, test if you still have a the problem the installing there

And just in case, check your antivirus too, some can try to check the file while is downloading, causing some issues with the file or the system during the scan process
