I don't know why but since the last update v7.8, I've got plenty of annoying graphical glitch in the open world maps where some assets kept blinking (appear and disappear continuously). I tried using recommended graphic preset (which is max setting for me) but it didn't work. So I tried lowering the rendering accuracy to 1.0 and it works. I know the solution but I want to play at max settings (literal max settings with 1.6 rendering accuracy), I didn't buy all the high end stuff to play games in mid setting. Here's some screenshots of the gameplay

Tho I got to see some funny stuff like Vita without body, MC without hair etc

Oh yeah forgot to mention the specs. It's ryzen 9 7900x paired with 4070super

its likely because givng everyone 120 fps option would just break a lot of phones so for stability reasons they dont have 120 as a default option unless they've tested that specific device and know that it works fine on that specific device

So I'm assuming hi3 uses whatever is considered the 'primary' controller, since I have to unplug any other controllers such as SIM wheel to get hi3 to recognise my controller

However there's some software called vJoy that I installed recently to make some stuff work in other games, it doesn't seem to be running in the background or anything yet hi3 won't use my xbox controller because it's not the primary controller. I guess I could just uninstall vJoy but any other ideas?

Probably check if any other program could be getting priority over the controller, even steam could cause the issue if their remapper is on and steam is not on running as admin
And idk if still works or the option is still on Windows but you can set a controller as always primary if you set it as preferred for "older games", that can help you with your sim wheel+controller issue

you can in theory update your google account location, but that'll affect your entire playstore and so on

look at your bp level first before using it, so you won't waste it

HYP default path:

If you have a "...7z.tmp" file on that folder you can delete if you want, HYP will delete it during the install process anyway

The file that you downloaded is corrupted
Most of the time is caused because your connection is unstable and/or slow, and is corrupting the file
Your only option is to redownload the file

If you want you can try manually downloading the file with the links that are here #🔌technical-help message
If your connection is really unstable, you best option is to use a download manager (like motrix) to get the file

The other option you can try is to download the delta patch that the collapse team made, idk if is already available or not but you have to check their discord for it.
If you decide to check this option, remember to run a full repair on the day of the update release if the launcher ask you to do it/there is an announcement on the launcher discord

I have already downloaded pre-install package update for version 7.9 of hi3 yesterday. And today, I tried to Unzip it in HoYoPlay launcher multiple times, but it keeps raise this error below.

I have tried some solutions below but still not work:

• Check connection (already try VPN, switch to another wifi, mobile data)
• Disk space (yesterday after I preinstalled ver7.9, space left nearly 75gb, and now after I unziped which failed, the space left 35gb and hi3 took nearly 90gb)
• Already turn off all anti-virus, also run as adminstrator
• The client log (Launcher Settings > About > View Client Log) give me some unreadable log
• Already try to run "launcher.exe" by double-clicking it in the launcher directory.
• Reinstall launcher

usually failed to unzip means that the download was corrupted, especially since you ruled out hoyoplay not having enough permissions so i'd try doing the manual download which usually works out better (just in case try a different mirror than the official hoyoverse one, its the same file its just downloading it from somewhere else so that can also fix corrupted download issues

its not that honestly, it has everything to do with the update file being 1 single gigantic file so pretty much any instability in your connection can easily corrupt it. due to how international internet traffic works this issue can come and go for pretty much anyone

but corrupted launcher download files have been happening to various people every version update, usually just once or twice per person. for years tbh

that is not going to work as a "test" because depends on where are you getting the file, and what routing your isp/dns is giving you, but yeah downloading one big file is mostly like to get corrupted with an unstable connection, lets hope they release the sophon download option soon for HI3 so we have to redownload the corrupted sector instead of the complete file

wouldnt work tbh since you'd be downloading it from not the hoyoverse servers. if you think of netweork connections as roads (not the worst analogy just stick with me for a minute) the issue with a corrupted download is you're driving a truck full of cabbages down a really crappy road, you hit a bump in the road and a cabbage fell off. you're missing part of the truck full of cabbages now and therefore your file got corrupted.

if you drove your truck full of cabbages down a brand new perfect condition road, you'd lose no cabbages and therefore not corrupted file. thats why using another mirror can help

but thats why the update size is so big despite the end result being not that much of an increase in total size

Depending on your system specs the game could be really heavy for it even on the low settings, and remember to not compare games,apart of that different devs work for each game, HI3 can be more heavy on the GPU with all the VFX and stuff compared to the "fix environment" of HSR battles

okay I figured it out, had to switch to my hotspot to finally connect to mhy servers

I found that the file is not corrput, the issue lie in unzipping file which will overwrite the old file. It can't unzip or overwrite because some old file is opened in another app (in my case is the file UserAssembly.dll), I had no idea why and where this UserAssembly.dll run. So I decided to restart my PC and the updating is all good now

yeah that issue is a problem with the unzip process, that could be cause by multiple problems (read only folder, used file by other program, missing unzip program,etc.), probably Luna just mistake it with the connection one

the account retrieval is only for linking mihoyo accounts (old system) to HYV, and that msg means that is already link to a HYV account
if you remember the HYV account info, you only need to login directly on the main menu (if you want to be sure, you can check the battle chronicles on HoyoLab #🔌technical-help message)
if you dont remember on what accounts is you data, you can contact CS and tell will tell you what you use to login #how-to-contact-cs

are you using the username to login? if that is the case are you sure that you are using the correct one? many users mistake the username (HYV account) with the nickname (in-game name)
and keep in mind that the deletion option is for the complete HYV account, if you started it, any other game link to it its going to get deleted too

You have to try again, and remember, read carefully, your account is old, so you have to be completely sure of what are they asking you, because if for example they ask you about "when the HYV account was created", that can only be after genshin release, because that is the new system, so if data of the old one is going to be mark as incorrect or viceversa

its a connection issue, even though your general internet is fine, its very possible for a disruption between you and honkai's servers specifically (and not everywhere else you've connected to on the internet) to exist.
