1. Close the game.
2. Logout and relogin to Steam account on Steam.
3. Restart Steam (or better yet just restart your pc while you're at it).

no idea about the game size of hsr. but like most unzip style installers like hi3, it needs double the size of the zip install file to unpack it

weird, sometimes windows does that though with forgetting the image, i'd try restarting first and if that doesnt fix it then delete teh shortcut, then go to your games installation folder and right click on the launcher.exe and make a new shortcut (might need to rename it)

assuming your honkai account is on your appleID hoyoverse i'd recommend then after logging into account.hoyoverse.com with your appleID to link something else like your email so you have multiple options and then log in with the email for now, or if you want to keep trying with the appleID i'd recommend restarting your PC, then making sure you have popup blockers turned off and that you're already signed into your apple ID in a browser window before trying the apple login in game. if that doesnt work unless i think of soemthing else maybe try official customer support #how-to-contact-cs and while they get back to you you can use a different login method in the meantime

not normally, sometimes the collapse launcher has a method to convert it (its a lot of manual labor to setup though so they dont always have one for every version) but i can double check if its availalbe for 7.8 yet

i guess then an easier way to find your regular account is to go to hoyolab.com and log in with your appleID hoyoverse, then check the honkai battle chronicles and see if you see your account on any servers there like EU or SEA or NA. if you dont see it there then log out, login with a different hoyoverse account and check the battle chronicles again to see all the valks and stuff each servers account may have until you find it

For that, try logging out and at the login screen clicking on the red repair icon and repairing your assets, if that doesnt help try turning your rendering accuracy down to 1.2 and also make sure your graphics drivers are updated. if none of that helps contact custmer support #how-to-contact-cs

well from the launcher i did a repair check all good cleared download recources then launched from there red button onto delete downloaded assets tried going into the game had to redo the whole 36.000 mb download and still with the setting set to 1.2 checked and sadly the new area is still messed up

Yeah it's been doing that for a couple other people, though for then updating\reinstalling graphics drivers or the 1.2 rendering accuracy or the repair fixed it and other than a total reinstall I'm not sure what else could fix it. I'd still recommend reporting it to CS though so at the least they can know like what GPU you have and stuff to figure out what the cause is.

I suspect it's something to do with them updating the renderer presumably

shouldn't be drivers since i recently updated them

also it doesent lag in oxia, only when im specificallyin the open world instance of the story

they're still a couple of months out of date and sometimes when hi3 updates theier renders a bit like they did in the latest version update it can not mesh well with not super up to date drivers so i'd still try updating them and restarting your computer. but what'll probably end up fixing it is do a repair in the launcher and via the red repair icon at the login screen to repair your assets. if none of that helps i would suggest turning the rendering accuracy graphic settings down a bit to maybe 1.4 or 1.2. your gpu is good enough to handle higher numbers but after the 7.8 update higher rendering accuracy than 1.2 or 1.4 has been having glitches/lag for some people so its worth maybe turning that down a little bit to test with

the account retrieval is for the old mihoyo account system, it doesnt do anything for hoyoverse accounts so thats why it couldnt find your account if it never existed in the old mihoyo system. the too many requests thing is because theres been too many login/account change requests from your IP address so to prevent brute force login hacking its preventing that IP to login for a little bit. you can either

-wait a few hours and try again
-try connecting to a VPN (try the free ones in the pins, they're known to be good and work with hi3 specifically)
-if none of that works, contact customer support #how-to-contact-cs but they do typically take 1-3 business days to reply

yeah it does that sometimes with the twitter login, like out of all the 3rd party logins the twitter has had more problems than all the others combined. Do you by any chance have anything else linked to that hoyoverse account like an email address or something? Usually these kinds of problems go away on their own after a day or so, so if you have another linked login method i'd recommend just using that for now.

you can try that, you can also try going into the settings > apps and go to the twitter and the default browser app (probably chrome) and clear the cache for it. yeah that'll clear out your logins and stuff but it has fixed it in the past.

but if you plan on waiting i'd recommend sending customer support an email about it explaining the issue and try every day or so #how-to-contact-cs (has their email addresses)

hello, i just built a new pc today, doesn't have gpu yet, but i think i'd been able to play this game on lowest on it

although, it keeps crashing for some reason idk what to do

i downloaded the assets n all it asks u for ingame, when i try to log in, it asks me for a verification code

i check gmail, nothing there at all, sooner or later, game goes to hell

my screen goes black for a split sec, then i am back to whatever app or tab i was in prior to starting the game, generally file explorer

seems like it fails to render the game after some time
screen going black for second usually indicates gpu "resets" itself (like when upgrading drivers) and it leaves ghost application of sorts (it should still be consuming resource if you open task manager)

i heard the xmp thing for rams is good, but can make games crash when watching a guide for building pcs, he said you might need to lower it's speed a bit if games crash

What is your motherboard make/model, and have you ever updated its BIOS?

There was a BIOS update late last year, that dramatically improved RAM compatibility, speed and performance

So if your BIOS is quite a bit older than that, you could try that route

for what i saw fast, looks like your drivers is not installed correctly probably you have to uninstall using DDU and reinstall again the drivers, and just in case don't force the speed of the ram, check the max speed you mobo supports and cpu if you want the stable experience, iirc just cpu should be ~5000 for 2 active slots (single or dual) and like ~3600 for 4 slots

the drivers can get installed incorrectly/corrupted, and for those cases if better to use DDU to delete everything so you can make a real clean install, because when using the manufacturer uninstaller most of the time they leave stuff installed, so if one of those is the one with issues, its going to still show after a reinstall or update

you could check collapse launcher they have a delta patch for HSR iirc last time was like 5gb...but keep in mind that there is a chance that could "fail" if HYV change many things with the game and you will have to wait for a fix or reinstall if you want to play soon

I just woke up and I think all the regulars didnt see your issue, but if you haven't found the answer yet here is how you access that chapter 3ex. you go to Attack, then here, and then make sure chapters 1-3 are selected on the left side and click the bitterneness for a in the corner. It should take you to this screen and make sure the bitterness for a sleepwalker is selected and that should let you access it iirc

though keep in mind you will have to manually update the game every version update so using a launcher is greatly recommended but either way you dont have to modify or create your own files, this isnt genhin. in fact modifying the game files is against ToS and can result in ban if detected

the hoyoplay FAQ https://www.hoyolab.com/article/34311662 says that when you update from your old launcher to the hoyplay launcher, all game resources will be auto linked, if its not doing that then the select manually and picking the honkai impact 3(rd)\games folder will link it, but it does need to be the same installation location as what the old launchers installation location is in the settings.

Initially to get that folder i had to install hi3 in hoyoplay's designated folder once it reached 1% i terminated hoyoplay via task manager after that,

i copy and pasted the games folder's contents from the old launcher (C: \ ) to hoyoplay 's (Honkai Impact 3rd game folder ) . Replaced config.ini originally installed by hoyoplay with the old one, then i did the same to the rest of the content present in the hi3 glb folder to the hoyoplays one and that's it

i had it a couple of days and already test some stuff (for easy search: HYP FAQ )

• The Auto search defaults to the old launcher path, or what is on the registry
  • This can be an issue for people that install the game using a "custom path", they need to do a manual search
  • On a Default install the process is more straightforward
• Having a different config.ini (like if you use an really old ver. of a custom launcher) can make the launcher unable to find the game
• HoYoPlay will edit the config.ini, if the file is blocked (like other program using it) the launcher is going to be unable to "find" it
• HoYoPlay have a new default path for the game files:
  • SEA: HoYoPlay\games\Honkai Impact 3 game
  • GLB: HoYoPlay\games\Honkai Impact 3rd game
  • JP: Houkai3rd game / KR: Honkai Impact 3rd kr game / CHT: Honkai Impact 3rd asia game
• HoYoPlay during the install of a game:
  • Have 5 stages: Download ➔ Verification of 7z (slow) ➔ Unzip ➔ Verification of files (faster) ➔ Deletion of 7z file/Install Completed
  • The launcher can resume a download better, but like before, any issue with the file will only show during the 2nd step of the install, so corrupt download can still show up (check img)
  • For the manual install, the 7z_tmp file is not a problem anymore, the tmp file will get auto deleted after you copy the 7z file and run the launcher
  • If a corrupted 7z file (without the tmp) have the correct size, will skip step 2 and go to unzip, and will only stop if is unable to finish (corruption, available space, etc.)
• The HoYoPlay that you get from other stores (like Google Play PC) work like the old launcher:
  • Just HI3 is available, not other HYV games
  • There is no "server" selection on the launcher, to get other servers you have to redownload the correct launcher/client

in case some of that help now that more users are getting updated to hoyoplay

in short, delta patch is mostly just updating the "new" files and not redownloading already existing files
but if HYV change something more you will have to wait for them for a fix, you can go to their discord if you want to ask more about it

delta patches (by collapse launcher team) are smaller size patches (for hi3/hsr and sometimes zzz) that only look at what's different between version A and version B and apply the changes, without re-downloading assets already downloaded

the only major issue is that sometimes it might have missing files, which can be repaired

for the "first" install you have to download both "essential" assets (launcher) and the rest in-game (you can choose if only the basic ones or all), for this last one, if you are only updating the in-game download will "skip" the assets already downloaded and just download the new ones

you can go to the launcher icon on the start menu and right click, choose the uninstall option and will send you to the config window where you can run the uninstall
just make sure you don't mark the "delete files" option or you will have to redownload
other way is to go to the launcher folder and run the uninstaller

the files on the 7z file are just the essential files to start the game (is the same file the launcher download), if you want to keep what you downloaded before in-game you have to replace the files instead of deleting (or keep the StreamingAssets folder) or use the launcher that will do the same but run a verification

if the sfc /scannow doesnt fix it then usually the unityplayer.dll is sort of like the game installation itself so if the scannow doesnt do anything (tbh it probably wont)

Can you try running the bh3.exe file itself as admin from your game folder and see if that helps?

another thing to try that can sometimes cause 0xc0000005 is turning off windows DEP security as it can sometimes crash programs that are trying to run. You can try turning that off by going to the windows settings > security settings > app and browser control > exploit protection settings > Turn Data Execution prevention off and restart, if that doesnt help turn it back on and restart your computer because it is better in a general sense to have it on. but give me a minute to see if i can find anything from this output log

and tbh I cant understand most of the output log, but im looking for things like the graphic driver versions or the part where it says Crash!! or something like that and seeing if the stuff right before it makes any sense

Now I just deleted it entirely and redownloaded it but it wont let me do anything to the launcher. I can't delete the games or anything. It's saying that Honkai impact 3rd is on the new launcher but how am i supposed to fix the problem when it won't let me?

try first restarting your pc and then only open the new launcher, the old launcher is still probably running in the background

hello i have a question i played until 2021 and wanted to start playing again but when i login it gives me a fresh account on all servers i tryd to restore my old account and it finds it but when i try to link it it says there is an account already funny thing is both the old and new account have the same UID but different passwords what am i doing wrong?

If you are changing too many times between accounts on a short time, the server can flag your connection and your only option is to wait, you can check if using a VPN can "fix" this #🔌technical-help message or contact CS after you wait x amount of time #how-to-contact-cs

Yes you can, each game login info is separated by each other
Apparently in the future the launcher will have a auto login system but there is no official info yet

Depending of how your network is connecting to the server you can get flag easily or can take a while that is why is recommended to try the VPN just in case is something in between causing the problem and not you, but yeah if you are connecting too many account you can get flag, most people that come here with that error are users rerolling
