Hi Captains!

If you happened to use Collapse Launcher, you might notice that the Game Repair functionality stopped working.
This due to some changes on game data structure, causing our internal tool unable to index the necessary files for Collapse Launcher to load.

If you're currently using Collapse Launcher v1.80.8-preview, we already pushed a workaround to fix the Game Repair issue in our Discord's #announcement channel and if you're currently using a stable version, (1.73.x) and wanted to use the Game Repair feature for this update, we recommend you to change your Collapse Launcher release channel to "Preview" by clicking the "Change to Preview Release Channel" button under the App Settings menu. Once you switched to Preview, please apply the workaround announced in our Discord's #announcement channel.

reading your old msg on the server, looks like you account is already on HYV, so account retrieval is not going to work for you
what you need to do is:

• use the "hoyoverse" button on the login screen and login in to your account
• because what you want is to link the appleid, i suppose your account is using the email to login
• after you login to the game, then go to your profile, then user center
• in there you can add other login info like 3rd party login or change the email
  keep in mind that you cant add login info that is already in use by other HYV account

Why are HI3 installations always corrupted lately and it's been several patches. Does anyone having similar issue? What's going on?
Ppl keep telling me its my network problem, but other games download and install fine.

so it is a network issue, but the reason it is a network issue causing it is due to a few factors and this is why it isnt noticed for other games.

the biggest reason is that many other games download the files individually, all of them by themselves. Honkai doesnt do that though, i think its to save on download size but the thing is is that honkai's patch update file is 1 gigantic single compressed zip file. The thing is with other games if you have even a slightly unstable network it will redownload the one or two files that got corrupted and you wouldnt notice anything because its just a couple of small files but with hi3 if theres any network instability during the time it takes to download all 15+GB file then it will corrupt that one file and just like the other games it will redownload the corrupted file, the difference is that with hi3 that "1 file" is the entire update. you're likely still having the same issue with other games but because the corrupted files are much smaller than hi3 you dont notice when it auto redownloads them.

honestly i'd recommend using a custom launcher like collapse or the better launcher from the download links pin, they split up the download into smaller chunks so it downloads more stably.

I've tried doing this several times with different mirrors of the GLB version but im still getting the same "Failed to unzip game files." error message. I've tried practically everything i could find online short of using a VPN to connect to the game, f that! 7.5 works on my android device and I've never had a problem with their PC client in the past what the heck is going on, is this even something they can fix on their side?

the sypmtoms appear to be like what Luna described above though, it seems to fail in the unzipping process. Sometimes its as early as 5% in the process, sometimes it can go up to 50% and fail

When you get a "error downloading files/failed to verify..." Is when the mirrors can help you, but in your case the unzip process is having the issue

Most of the time when you get the unzip error msg is because the launcher have the 7z program files corrupted/missing

I fixed it, if anyone else gets this issue. Get the .7z file from one of those links and drag it into your HI3/Games/.. directory without deleting the .7z_tmp so that both the .7z_tmp and the downloaded .7z coexist within the directory then launch the launcher and click on the GetGame/Download button of the launcher again.

P.S you may need to do the Download->Retry if the first time doesnt unzip correctly

yes, the update redownloads the new files, not just the new parts. so like if one of the audio files is lets say 150 MB and they add 10 more to that, the update would redownload the new 160MB audio file and the overall game size would only go up 10 MB

i see, i would recommend just explaining your issue and sending them your UID to start with. they usually just reply with the email its linked to and if you know that email then you dont need to spend half an hour documenting a bunch of stuff in your initial email

though if you dont have access to that email or dont recognize it and they need you to provide proof of ownership they'll send you a link to a form to fill out with that info

ah thats why then, account retreivals only purpose is to bind old mihoyo accounts that have not been logged into for at least 2 years to hoyoverse accounts cuz back when they switched the login to only do hoyoverse they had to add that so people could link their old mihoyo accounts to the new hoyoverse system. Account retreival cannot help you here.

to answer your second question no your account cannot get deleted. if its past the very first tutorial stage it will never ever get deleted, not even if you beg customer support to and it definitely doesnt get auto deleted ever.

nice! make sure though that you write down your UID and login method somewhere, keep it on your google drive if you must or on a notepad cuz if you forget your login method (what email address you use, twitter, etc) and dont have your UID then there is no hope for getting your account back.

A: On the uninstall page in both the old launchers and HoYoPlay, you can choose not to check "Delete Game Resources," as shown in the image below. When using Hoyoverse on Web browser clear cookies after using them or just use incognito so that cookies used will be auto deleted (This is just for extra safety measures)

Yes you can change any login info almost any time, after you change it you can't do it for like a month iirc, but after that you can do it again

Just keep in mind you can't use the same login info on 2 HYV accounts at the same time, so if you email is already on one you can use it on another account

the fact that you need 34 GB is normal. the compressed zip file is 17GB, it then has to unzip that file but it cant use the space the file is already taking so it needs an additional 17GB to unzip the file to. 17+17 is 34GB

I think you can get this to go away by running steam as admin first since iirc it will pass it's admin privileges onto hi3.

But also as a note. If your honkai account was with mobile or the regular PC launcher and you had to login with your hoyoverse account then you can't play the steam version and use that same account. Steam version of hi3 has it's own account system that's auto created with your steam ID and there is no option to use your hoyoverse account. This also means that if your main account is on the steam version then you won't be able to log into the same account on Mobile or the PC launcher\epic play store version

Oh and don't turn off uac ever. With it turned off any program (like viruses for instances) can run as administrator and wreck havoc on your PC with very little resistance. Uac blocks that kind of behavior

WARP vpn works good for honkai, though a few users reported that they had issues when connecting to japanese servers and it magically fixed itself when not connecting to JP servers so unless you're trying to connect to the JP hi3 server then i'd recommend somewhere in america or europe to have the closest physical proximity to the GLB servers

and if that doesn't work try clearing the game cache and app store cache (you can do this by going to settings > apps > honkai impact 3 > clear cache (NOT data, just the cache. if you delete the data you'll have to redownload like the whole game. for the app store you can clear the cache the same way in the apps settings menu by going to your app stores app and clearing cache. this may make you log back into it though so dont forget what your login is)

After browsing the net for answer of XMP Profile 1 and 2 I'm still quite confused

My old 2 pairs of RAM has different brand
1 brand is running at 16-18-18CL 1.35V
The other is 22-22-22 1.20V
Both are 3200mhz
When I turned on XMP they only have one Profile which is Profile 1

I bought another one to match the brand with the other one
Now 2 RAM are both 16-18-18CL 1.35V
Still running at 3200mhz
But I'm quite confused why did it add another Profile which is Profile 2

Profile 1 runs at:
3200mhz - 2400mhz 16-18-18CL 13.5V

Profile 2 runs at:
3000mhz - 2400mhz 15-17-17CL 13.5V

Question is why did I gain another Profile?
Is the Profile 1 overclock while Profile 2 is the stabilized OC XMP ver?

I'm quite very new to the game. In fact, the moment I tried to do my first login, this pops up.

How it went down:

After downloading the game and its assets, I was greeted by a "select login" option. Obviously, I wanted to login using a pre-existing account (the same account email I use for Star Rail and Genshin), but the only available option was a Huawei ID.

Hence, I tapped agreed on the only option, then I was told to "tap anywhere to enter". I did, and this keeps popping up.

It won't let me enter. How do I resolve this?

Thats because downloading the game through the Huawei appgallery uses a custom client that auto uses your Huawei ID to make an account seperate from the hoyoverse login system, and as the message says, the Huawei logins will stop being a thing on july 25th.

to fix this you'll unfortunately need to uninstall that version of the game and either install the game from the google play store or manually install it from the SEA .apk link in this pin #🔌technical-help message

that will install the regular version of the game which will let you use the hoyoverse account that you use for star rail and genshin

oh yeah i forgot about that, yeah you'll need to use the .apk file to manually install it. and if they havent figured out a way to update it through an app store type thing before the next version update then what you'll need to do to update the game is come in here and download the .apk file again once maintainence starts (it always points to the current version of the game, its basically what the appstore downloads but you're just downloading it yourself instead of letting the appstore do it)

and yup all you have to do is download it on mobile and then run the file once its downloaded. all the appstore (or appgallery too really) does is download the .apk file (same one thats in the pins here) and then opens the .apk file and after its installed it deletes the .apk file. if you're low on storage you might want to remember to check to see if its still there/delete the apk file after you're done installing or updating the game

potentially yes, when you update the game in the appstore all its doing is downloading the current .apk file, opening it and then after the update is finished it deletes the file from its downloads folder (sometimes). since you're doing it manually you would need to come in here once maintainence starts and download the apk file, open it and then if you're low on storage make sure its deleted afterwards. you're just doing the same exact thing the app store does

i would not recommend it, they routinely do not upload new versions until days after the update and also a lot of times have modified versions of the .apk file which the game will not recognize and tell you to "update" the game even after you've gone through the entire update process making you have to uninstall that and install it manually anyways

the games have different requirements. case in point hi3's combat is a lot more stuff going on at the same time than HSR due to not being turn based, please refer to the pins for the minimum and recommended specs. please note that we consider the minimum as "able to open the game and not crash while doing combat" not "you'll get decent fps while playing" so if your pc barely meets the minimum then expect not much better than 30fps while running the game in 720p windowed mode on lowest graphic settings

And they were able to find my uid, so because I cannot log back into the email associated with it due to twiiter acting up, I was sent a application process and through this I am able to change the email associated with it

Assuming all goes well I should be able to get back my account within 10 days or I should have a response

One thing to note that I do appreciate about the process, I love how rigorous the document is

but the risk of same named files (like audiodefault for instance) might not get overwritten and cause crashes until it is totally redownloaded, possibly manually. but i'd recommend just properly uninstalling that and isntalling the sea version to avoid any issues like that since you'd only save about 50-100MB of download

I did encounter a problem when I ran games it auto reboots the pc 3 times
Go to BIOS and saw my RAM running at 3400mhz with a Voltage of 1.4v even tho my RAM can only run at 3200mhz and 1.35v
Did run a RAM reseat and clean and CMOS reset and that fixed the problem with the Mhz but
I did check the BIOS again and saw that the voltage of my 2 RAM are running at 1.380v

Is it normal for my 2 RAM running at 1.380v when they are only 1.35v written on their specs

i have a problem about downloading. i read some old messages of the people had the same issue but those didnt help/i didnt wanted to do that method so i wanted to ask.
the thing actually happened is i downloaded literally eveything(atleast i hope so). whole 17gb. after downloading is done it started verifying game sources or something like that. it took way too long like 20mins and still that bar empty so i decided to close the launcher and reopen it because maybe there is an error or something. but when i reopen the launcher and there was the download button when i clicked it it said downloading game resources for a second and said "Game files download error. Check your network setting and try again."

Hello, I need help with this, I'm trying to unlock the cg that is after this cinematic but it stops in the middle and won't let me finish it, I have tried to repair the game from the launcher and delete all the cutscenes and voices from chapter 22 but still it keeps failing me

You're playing the story chapter right without skipping? And then whenever you hit that CG part it stops the game then you should contact CS#how-to-contact-cs

Older stages tends to have some bugs since it's not being optimized anymore cuz a majority of captains are already done with that part
