for 1. do you mean the bitrate or are you talking about the encoding preset setting?

for 2. shouldnt you be able to change the output resolution in the video settings? like scaled resolution? that'll change the output resolution though it cant improve how the game itself looks, it'll just make the output video a higher resolution. for streaming i usually do like 1280x720 for less demand on the users end, plus watching stream at 720p is fine

by default yes, but theres things called mods that do things like custom sounds when you open tabs, type, animated new tab backgrounds, etc. but those do take up a lot if you have a lot of tabs open since it has to do those + extensions + whatever website you ahve open for each tab

But to answer your earlier question, you would need to bind the old mhy amount on the account retrieval button to an already existing hoyoverse account if you haven't done so since mid 2022. It doesn't matter how the hoyoverse account is created it just needs to be bound to an existing hoyoverse account that does not already have a honkai account linked to it (even a beginner account in the tutorial)

If you have it there's any failed to link error messages then if it says the hoyoverse account already has an account linked to it you'll need to use a different hoyoverse account, the one your using already has an account bound to it. If it says that your honkai account is bound to a different hoyoverse account then that means your old hi3 account is already linked to a hoyoverse account, contact cs with your uid to help find it

Switching to keyboard input instead of keyboard + mouse using Alt R solved the aiming issue with Kira, and it looks like it also solved the issue of the attack button randomly not working ? Can't be sure but I didn't have it since the switch

the game got corrupted, if you're playing on the steam version you'll need to delete the bh3_data folder and let it redownload, if you play on any other version then you'll need to reinstall the game to get it to work

no its not possible. if you cant access the hoyoverse account (via hacked, lost email, etc) then they can do account recovery but they dont unbind accounts that you can access just because you want them to, its not a service customer support provices

and well all those old accounts are almost unusable with their valks they have lol and yeah you can get to lvl 30 in like a day nowadays.

at least honkai has an option to retroactively bind accounts. i've personally dealt with multiple big MMO's that changed their account system and it was basically a "if you dont do this by x date, your account is gone forever and theres no way of getting it back"

It's a very common error, just means that it was trying to access ram that Windows didn't allocate it. But that can happen for thousands of perfectly innocent reasons (most likely Windows or program glitch)

Ah I see, that error message is covered in my guide. Basically it means you already linked your honkai to a hoyoverse account already (probably did it during the 6 month long linking event or shortly after and forgot) but what you'll need to do is contact customer support with your uid and they'll tell you what hoyoverse account it's on. If you don't recognize it then tell them that and they'll start account recovery prices

Yes usually. Unless you have some real rare stuff like event characters or some real nostalgia but long story short pretty much every valk you could have had back then is free and farmable, and the new account rewards are much much better than returnee rewards. But it's up to you you can get your old account back and not start over. Just talk to customer support. #how-to-contact-cs

Don't let others pressure you into starting over if you don't want to, you'll have a more competitive account if you do but you might not care about it so you can always try to get your old account back and if you decide you don't want to try more, or if you don't care what's in it starting over is pretty quick

this game is old and released by regions, so the game ended up on one time having different ver. for each server, they slowly got to a point where almost every ver. is the same, but there is still some differences
if the people ask for it, they probably can make just one client, but it will need too much work/time/money, so looks like the best option for them is just leave it as it is.
still, soon we are going to get a new launcher, probably that could make more easy to download the correct client, but only is on CN now so we have to wait to see

you mean if they decide to make just 1 ver? I don't think it will happen tbh , but if it happened it would be the opposite... they need to add all the different stuff (like lang fonts) to just 1 ver.
if you talk about the launcher, that is just a pc launcher, that is not count on the size on the game. keep in mind that not long ago the game already got a file reduction, so we have to wait to see another one
but keep in mind that most of the time, the devs aim to the specs here #🔌technical-help message so at some point the game will be 25gb min for mobile

sadly the only know solution for that problem is to reinstall the game, if you play on steam delete the bh3_data folder before making a reinstall

yeah most users have similar problem before so looks like some files got corrupted because of that, but we dont know what files and if they are the same for everyone with the issue
so if you can give cs info about the blue screen like what error codes you got if you remember, so the devs can find what is causing the problem more easily

and the game has had a lot of updates and graphical increases since then

Im back from experimenting with graphics settings
Overall, I've found out that I can play with Anti Aliasing TAA, and even Medium Lightning + Weather settings. The problem is, I can't use Shadow settings, at any level of graphic. Even on lowest it eats up all of the performance.

This is the best performance + quality settings for Poco x3 pro I could make. 60 fps, not so blurry image and overall makes gameplay + map traversal as good as possible with what I could go.

From online searching it seems like i increase the dedicated video ram storage through my laptop. If i set that to the minimum/recommended number for games such as hi3 and honkai, would it affect anything else?

most of the time that option will just get the shared memory from the ram... so you will end with less ram for the system... like if you give 4gb to the VRAM your system will only have 4gb to work when the igpu is working
some let you get it from the storage but is just for exceptions, because the speed is too slow so is just in case you really need it and the speed is not necessary for the task, so this one is not for gaming

you can run the game with just 2gb of VRAM, but on "new stuff" you will have some issues like animation breaking, dialogue scenes without valks, performance issues on open world maps,etc.

so at least for hi3 you kinda can play with just 4(or 6)gb RAM + 4(2)gb VRAM on most of the stuff, just don't expect the best performance, but for other games the lack of RAM instead of VRAM could be a problem or viceversa, each game is different

honkai impact released on 2016 (2018 on GLB) so most of the valks/stages/modes from that time don't ask for high specs but once you reach new chapters/valks the game will need more high specs to run decently, being part 2 the more heavy part of the game
on the specs info i shared before you can see that to play "decently" on every part of the game you need at least 16gb of ram for igpu users, so you have at least 8gb of ram min, and the rest can be used as VRAM

im at work rn so i cant really watch it, sorry. what you can do if you cant figure out how to use winrar is to right click the .zip file in your downloads folder and click "extract all" (not with the winrar logo, windows can do it by itself) and then just click next on the next window. it should make a folder in your downloads with the same name as the zip file and it should be in there to open

and then when you run the ddu thing, just click extract and then go into the new folder it makes and open the device driver uninstaller.exe file

and then dont change any settings, it should auto detect it all so you can just click ok or next or whatever it calls it. then once its done and you restart go into your downloads folder and run the graphics driver update thing that iho shared with you earlier to install it again

windowed mode consumes much less GPU power since its got to put the graphics on a much smaller part of the screen

you can think of it like painting. painting an entire wall is a lot more work than painting a piece of paper. its just less work on the GPU so underpowered ones can make do with windowed mode

oh one thing to mention, with how hot and how constant its been run, your laptop could probably use its thermal paste cleaned and replaced on the CPU, thast not something i'd recommend a non computer person to do though so might need to see if theres a computer repair shop that can do it for you but its probably at least a little dried out

Aight i solved my problem all i did was:

1. connect my former HD where Honkai impact was installed
2. boot the pc with the new fresh HD
3. start the game from the former HD
4. the game opens and start verifying files/ udpating settings
5. the game opens normally from my former HD
6. close the game and delete the previous install i had in the new HD (the one that gave me errors about userAssembly)
7. copy and paste the game folder from the former HD to the new one
8. the game nor runs as it should

i think the problem i had was either the copy was corrupted and the files mihoyo create in /appdata/local/ i didnt move any of them, thanks for the help.

unfortunately not, you'll need to redownload the game (technically its because a lot of the files are named differently between the global and the sea versions which is about 90+ percent of the game size that would need to be redownloaded anyways and copying them can easily break stuff so its recommended to just reinstall)

well for the full pc installation size, only about 400MB of the 38+ GB of data might be able to be copied (might) and if it did have any corruption issues with copying over you'd have to reinstall again from the beginning, but all the models, audio, cg's and other assets (which is now that i think about it is closer to 95% of the game size) are named differently so you cant copy them over

if you want to risk having to reinstall it again i can tell you which folders/files arent named differently

tbh the ping doesnt affect anything. even at good ping there can be instabilities which causes things to not register. the main issue is that theres nothing else it can be other than a connection issue (assuming the server itself isnt having issues rn) and if the route your connection is taking that your ISP gave you is being unstable right at the moment you finish then it might not register. a VPN sends you on a different connection route so thats why it helps

but its up to you if you want to try malding again with a VPN on

tbh then the only thing i can think of is trying these modded graphics drivers, they are confirmed safe and do perform a bit better than official ones #🔌technical-help message though you would need to download them and use DDU again to cleanly uninstall your current drivers

specifically the top one in the list, WHQL-R-ID-Software-Hybrid-24.3.1-Win10-Win11-PolarisVegaNavi one

and while i believe you that it ran better before trying stuff, all that really means is that the game was literally not using some modern graphics stuff because the drivers were that old

plus i dont remember when you last played before now, but the graphics got a big overhaul in part 2 and also last patch

though with all that being said, these modded drivers would make your laptop run even hotter (higher performance but higher heat) so you would want to redo the thermal paste on it before trying that because it could potentially be really bad for your pc. and for the loading thing it could be also your hard drive having issues (might be due to heat or age, idk) but you can check its health by opening command prompt as administrator (click on start menu, type cmd and then hit enter and type chkdsk C: /f /fr

still though im not super confident on your laptops ability to run the game even reasonably with its old inefficient (compared to modern ones at least) GPU and lack of RAM not matter what we do

Mmm... Probably that is causing the issues, windows have problems with controller via Bluetooth most of the time, sometimes you can "miss" an input but on other the controller is almost unusable

I had that problems too so I ended up buying a wireless adapter and 0 problems since then, but you can use it via USB and that should work the best

they download the file differently so is less likely the file will get corrupted, but there is still a chance if the one causing the problem is your ISP

it could be many things, like your AV is corrupting the install, the drive sector where is getting installed is faulty, just windows not installing correctly the files, etc... so you can try to reinstall the official later if you want (or wait for the new launcher) i use a custom one mostly, but have the official too just in case

antivirus and just where your drive save the files/stuff, the antivirus could start scanning a file before is completely install and make it unusable or corrupted on some cases
and the storage drive can get damaged/unusable on some of his sectors after x time, but windows could still try to use those so any file installed there could get corrupted
could be just the OS too, windows doesnt really fully turn off on the default settings, so could "power on" incorrectly and make some task fail (like installs) and a restart should fix it
but yeah could be many other things, check first if you are able to install and play the game using the custom launcher, hopefully works for you

ah you are downloading the win iso file, you can use any, doesn't matter is just a "drive letter" so you and your pc can identify them, if you put the stick on other pc its going to show other letters

in your honkai impact 3rd folder, go to \Games\BH3_Data and completely delete the StreamingAssets folder

Restart download and that should fix your issue

dear, the thing that the launcher is failing to unzip due to it being corrupted, is the 7z tmp file in their screenshot, the streaming assets folder has nothing to do with it

im not aware of any optimizations tbh, its just windows. i guess with the power plan you could just make sure its not on low power or energy preset since those can turn off things to save power but other than that unless your specific laptop model has some special acer software to be energy efficient and turns off things theres not really anything that i can think of to optimize windows in general for gaming

oof that sucks, as far as your other question, please do the following;

lose the game
Open registry (WIN+R, type regedit)
Open: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\miHoYo\Honkai Impact 3rd
Find: GENERAL_DATA_V2_ResourceDownloadType_h2238376574
Change value to 0

i think that lets you pick again. if not then the only reliable way to make it pick is to start over from teh beginning

that actually could. the download is getting corrupted and a wifi adapter being buggy could do that. if possible try ethernet and also try using a download manager like IDM (or others) to download the file from one of the google drive links. the download managers tend to download files more stably than your web browser does
