How do I edit the resolution of a game using registry editor
Like I wanna set a game to 800x600 resolution

press windows key + r and type regedit and hit enter and once you're in the registry editor go to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\miHoYo\Honkai Impact 3\GENERAL_DATA_V2_ScreenSettingData and you can change the resolution there

if that doesnt work then you can hold shift when clicking launch on the official launcher to bring up a settings menu

if you enter any other stage/chapter/mode it will ask you to download the needed assets before playing

if you are just "starting" playing the chapters, remember that you have the option to delete the chapter assets if you dont plan to play it again (Ai-phone - resources)

okay soo whenever im playing 42-8 in earthbound order, the game basically hangs itself during the dialogue, like fu hua’s dialogue plays and then im unable to view rhe dialogue any further

HI3 doesn't use much connection, unless the game is downloading assets. If you already have the assets downloaded check if something more on you device could be causing the issue, like a "connection manager" that some manufacturer ship with some PC/phone and put games as priority on connections

Most PC clients just use HYV account so you don't need to do anything to use your account on other devices, just login using the same email/password you used on PC and done.
The only client on PC that doesn't use that login is Steam, so accounts created there are stuck on that platform

if you've already tried restarting your pc then try running a repair on the game (you can do this in two different places. your best bet is to do them in both places to cover all bases) but to repair it you can at the launcher click on the 3 lines next to launch and click repair and there is also a red repair icon in the bottom left corner of the login screen

oh one thing i will mention since if you're at chapter 8 or so then theres a chance you're a sort of new player.

tbh i use steam for most things but steam accounts for hi3 cannot link to a hoyoverse account which means that you cant do twitch integration for like twitch viewer/streamer rewards, hoyolab stuff like daily login, etc. im not saying you have to restart your account over on the official launcher and not steam because you may not care about any of that. but if you do care then it might be worth thinking about before you put a tremendous amount of time and energy into that steam account

not really, it has to have the amount of free space to unzip, like it needs the file space for the zipped file and then before unzipping the file it needs to reserve enough free space to move the unzipped files to

not really, most of the old data is still in the game, if you're on pc though the reason its so large is becuse it replaces the entire file with the added stuff. so like one of the main audio files for instance is like 700MB, for pc it will redownload 701MB audio file and replace the old one so if you are struggling on space that much then it might be better to totally uninstall the game and then install a fresh installation once 7.4 comes, though depending on how much free space you ahve that might not work either since it does need some extra space too (though not as much as 7.3 + the patch file)

or i guess another way is if you're on pc, you could manually download the update patch file and then unzip it yourself to your games folder if you have another drive on your computer that you could put the patch file on before you unzipping

7.4 hasnt come yet, it just has a predownload available to save on downloading time in a couple of days. If you installed the game now, and did not do the predownload then you would still have to download the 7.4 update.

not exactly sure since theres always a secondary in game download that we dont know how big it will be until maintenance but if you store the pre-download zip file for pc on another drive and then manually unzip it yourself to the game folder then you will need just the file size for your hard drive that has honkai on it plus however much the in game download is (usually a few more GB)

but its honestly not recommended to manually do it yourself, if you mess it up a lot of times you'll have to reinstall the game (can still try if thats your only option, like theres no possible way to delete anything to free up space, but just warning you that it has to be done a particular way or it wont work)

20 gb might be enough for this version if you manually do it, but the game gets bigger every update so this is not going to work much longer

but thats assuming that 20 GB will be enough if the in game download is less than 4GB. and also having less than 5GB isnt good for your pc, windows routinely auto updates and so on and programs create cache and so on so that can run out pretty quick and your computer will start crashing cuz theres no more free space

if possible the best solution would be to uninstall some things you dont use often, or clean up your downloads folder, stuff like that to free up some space and then do the update normally

It's a common issue mostly it's just a corrupted file to fix that just simply hit the repair button

If that didn't work there are other options like:

1. Cleaning the cache / registry
2. A clean reinstall of the game
3. Drivers needs to be reinstall / download an old stable version

Can also be a hardware issue like overheating or failing storage

1. If overheating then just simply re-apply thermal paste to both CPU and GPU
2. If failing storage I suggest you migrate the Honkai folder to another storage or just buy a new one

And it's rare to happen but it can happen ..... A corrupted Window file, you need to reinstall Windows at that point

When I use the launcher on pc, it takes me into the game and into the loading area with the elevator. Then a box pops up with a smaller yellow box which usually has writing and comfirm in it. But in my case its blank and when i click the yellow box it kicks me out of honkai. It happens every time i log in. Is there any way to fix this?

im trying to get my grubby lil hands on a working mac .iso so i can actually help captains by trying to isntall it in a vm but all the modern macOS's require an installer to be made from a mac from what i can tell, cant get an iso from the internet in general

there can be a lot of factors for that, ISP could be throttling download, server could be going slow because of everyone updating right now. computer could be slowing the download down if you're streaming/watching/downloading/playing things on the network

if it gets stuck below 1 MB/s then theres a fix for that but ideally just let it finish as it is

if you dont see a version.txt file then dont worry about it, since that list is alphabetical it should be near the bottom (dont worry its just all the audio files for the game so theres a lot)

Could be that because on the video you load many assets by going from menu to menu the phone couldn't handle it and just crash the app

it's not lagging in terms of fps, it wasn't crashing frequently like before, just after this 7.4 update now it does. I've tried only to just run hi3 without anh backround apps, makes no difference. I could run all hi3, Gi and hsr at once without consequence before. Ah, and also the gpu is indeed not great but that hasn't been a problem for me since gameplay is smooth

tbh that doesnt mean much, you can have decent fps on bad specs if you get the correct settings, but doesn't mean its going to work correctly in everything, could be that something in the game is just now asking for more that you phone can give... iirc a mod had a phone with those specs, and already have to go on low settings like a yr ago, and that was with the old engine
still the only i can recommend you is to test the game, see if you can find a way to get the game to crashes in the same way every time, and tell CS about it so they redirect the finds to the devs #how-to-contact-cs
