So a neat little bug that makes me very hopeful that they'll eventually allow the bridge music to be set to any main game song || (something that's been a thing in ggz that I've been wanting in hi3 for years) || is that if you change the music in your apartment to let's say befall and then do a normal combat stage (like universal mirage for instance) the apartment music you've set will play at the results screen until you go back to the main menu

after redeeming an invite code, they have to do some missions for you to get the rewards (its to prevent people from just using alt accounts to accept their own invite codes easily)

Hi! got some issues for pc version of 7.3

primarily for the controller

the controller isn't recognized at all after the update. Just for info: no controller emulator is used

depending on the type of controller it might struggle to work (xbox style or generic windows controllers work best since they use xinput and thats what the game uses) but these things can fix it or be used as a workaround for any type of controller. also if you havent restarting your pc is always a good option #🔌technical-help message

okay so my laptop crashed during hi3 loading and uh
now whenever i login after loading setting it shows dialogue without text and terminate. then it'll try to download setting (to fix it, i assume), loading setting, then show textless dialogue again before terminate. repeat.

anyone knows how to fix this? have done repairing, no result. don't really want to reinstall for obvious reason.

1. Please, close both game and launcher.
2. Press Windows + R, input regedit.
3. In the opened window, please locate \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\miHoYo\Honkai Impact 3 and delete it.
4. Press Windows + R, and input %userprofile%\Appdata\LocalLow\miHoYo\ in the opened window. Delete all the files in the Honkai Impact 3/3rd folder.
5. Restart your PC.

Do note that doing this will require you to login again. Linking account is highly recommended.

mhmm some of the non xinput controllers that worked in 7.2 stopped working reliably in 7.3. i'd try the workarounds i mentioned (like ds4windows or the steam method) and let customer support know so they can work on fixing it in a patch #how-to-contact-cs

i gotcha, i know for a fact that the honkai impact registry folder is very safe to delete, its basically just the saved login information, saved settings like screen resolution and what stage you last did, stuff like that

in fact you can do fun things like uncap the fps, make custom resolution, stuff like that and its all very ok with the company and wont break the game

but the worst case scenario for deleting the registry folder for hi3 is losing the saved login info and a captain has no memory of what their email address is to login or something like that and cant login anymore ~~but thats more of a user issue than a game issue ~~

if it helps, the custom launchers in the first pin handle downloading and updating the game much better than the official launcher, and they're safe to use, one of them is made by one of the mods in here

better launcher is very clean and simple to use, the collapse launcher works for all hoyoverse games so only need one launcher for all 3 if you play the others so theres that

okie, if its set to max thats the culprit, its absurdly gpu hungry when set to max (like needs a 4090 iirc to run smooth on a 2k resolution or higher) turning that down to high or medium should help greatly

but if you go to ai chan phone (bottom right of the main menu) and go to settings in the video section it shoudl be here

yeah for your gpu turn the preset down to quality and it should be much smoother without a huge difference in quality

i personally use 60fps on a comparable card and dont have any issues on quality preset but thats also my personal preference, above 60fps i dont really notice much so i just leave it at that but you can experiment with higher fps, just keep in mind that higher fps = more work for your gpu so thats a thing you can turn to like 90 if its lagging on 120 or something

but i think it should be able to do 90 fps without too much struggle if im thinking correctly

What that message means is that the hoyoverse account you're trying to connect your old honkai account to already has a honkai account on it (likely an accidental beginner account) all you have to do is link it to a different hoyoverse account

Got it to work! Just to let you know, there is an extra step with Steam users. If someone is using Steam to play the game through, they have to go into their Steam library and delete the Hi3 folder completely otherwise they'll encounter the same issue that I had at the beginning.

1. Go to account.hoyoverse.com and click register (if you're already logged in when you go there log out first and click register)
2. I'm the register screen, use the new email address you just created to make a new hoyoverse account.
3. Open honkai and click account retrieval and use the Facebook option.
4. Once you see your old account and it's level, click confirm.
5. At the email and password screen use the email and password you used in step 2.
6. At the next screen click confirm again.
7. You should see a link successful message, if you see a link successful message then click confirm and you can log into the game with that new email you used in step 2.

If you get a link failed message then reply to customer with a screenshot of your old account info that you should see in step 4

It's all important yeah. They have to be able to legally declare as a company that you're the genuine original owner of that account. Also make sure you're giving then the right UID, if you're giving them a different accounts UID like an old one or an alt then they're going to be comparing your answers to a different account and it won't match

Yes you only need to login on the new device with your account and it's going to load your data, you only need to check that you are login on the correct server/client to see your game account. (Top-right on the login screen for glb)
And just in case you can have the game login on multiple devices for easy access

I think I narrowed it down to when you press win key or sky tab to go to a different screen\window sometimes the mouse stays hooked in honkai and gets stuck there, if I remember correctly holding down alt and pressing tab to cycle through your stuff to go back to honkai worked. If you haven't been doing anything like that then don't mind me but if you have that's how I've been fixing it but still let customer support know so they can fix this more permanently

ah yup that tracks from what i remember, basically they used to "delete" beginner accidentally made honkai game accounts that were below the tutorial level, which was technically against their policy of deleting accounts that were only linked to a hoyverse and not the old mihoyo login system. So they eventually changed that to their normal policy of not deleting anything that is only linked to a hoyoverse account and not the old mihoyo system.

For honkai accounts that are past the tutorial they've always had the policy that if you can access it (log in and play it) then they cannot help you. If you cannot access it because your account got hacked or something then they will recover the entire hoyoverse account and all of the games on it, but not just one game, the whole hoyoverse account. You can still try but they'll probably just say no.

Were all just captains like you and im just letting you know they'll say no they cant do that. as far as i know its not even possible for them to unbind accounts, like not even a policy thing they just cant. the only times the did "unbind" accounts it was deleting the entire hoyoverse account and then having people link their old honkai account (which was still on the mihoyo login system) or deleting the game account itself which they incorrectly did for a very short period of time. Its just how it is, as far as im aware of unbinding has never been possible and they've been doing things for very very very specific circumstances that made it seem like it was at one point. But iirc hoyolab app should remember multiple logins so you can switch between them pretty quickly for battle chronicles stuff

so the gameplay and beginner help channel mostly cares about being competetive and having a "good" account for Memorial Arena or stuff. If you care about that you'll need to make a new honkai account, either by making a new hoyoverse account or if you havent made one yet, just change the server to europe at the login screen and make an EU account, ping isnt a problem with this game so thats no issue.

if you dont care about that and dont care about being competetive then just keep your account. a good portion of the non whales in there make new hoyoverse accounts every other patch the moment their luck goes back during pulls because characters tend to be "good" for not very long so you're usually needing a new team sooner rather than later

but the account rerollers come in here sometimes forgetting which email has their account because they make 20 new email addresses in a single day to make new accounts

I just basically collect every valk so i usually end up having at least the meta valk and sometimes their weapon if my pull rate is good because i play every day so i generally have enough to do that even though im f2p. But then i look at what the weather is and see if my low geared meta will outperform an older better team and then i just try with what i have thati think will do good and just try once or twice and then go about my life and read the lore if i derank i derank its just a few crystals and my life is much less sweaty for it but for all the stuff i care the most about (story/events mostly) they give you plenty fine trials that do just fine

i'm basically lazy and spend more of my time figuring out the techincal definintions of imaginary renormalization and stuff over rotations

had a friend try to replace a cpu with a new one, forgot to update the firmware (new generation of cpu) so went to put the old one in to get back in the pc since it would boot with the old one, but without a fan at all and it died,smoked and kaput before it could get to the windows splash screen. with no thermal paste i'd give it less than 1 gaming session

i use my email from back when I played honkai impact

and ofc I have a hoyoverse account that I made for genshin impact, both are the same email

I put in the email first, I see it remembers me being captain lvl 47

so Im like link it

then go and login into Hoyoverse with same email

and it tells me fail link
