I experienced such issue before when I was playing other game such as Clash of Clans. I have doubt maybe your Game Settings was affected by 3rd party application such as Bluestack. Did u use that app to start your HI3 game on PC? If yes, then it is recommended to use the default launcher of "HI3 Launcher" 🙂

mobile client doesnt have the option for 120 fps except for some very specific models of phones which is what bluestacks would have, if they are using bluestacks then i'd be curious what phone profile they are using

sadly it doesnt have a delete old cache like genshin, there is deleting the app data in settings but it'll download roughly 17-18GB still (on top of the 2ish GB already in the base app

Ohh...he using mobile? if so, then definitely, it will auto jump to 60 fps already although if his smartphone has 120 fps display, same thing to my mobile also although has 120, but it will jump back to 60 as normal. But on PC, it won't as the game client always initiate by following the launcher settings. 🙂 ^^

no they're most likely using pc. but if they're playing on bluestacks then the 120 FPS option shouldnt even show up since on mobile 120 FPS only shows up for like a dozen models of phone in the world so thats why i didnt think they were using bluestacks since i didnt think it had the phone "profile" of one of the specific models that has teh 120 fps unlocked for it

yes, i suspect the windows registry where any changed graphics settings are stored (like window resolution or fullscreen vs windowed mode) is not saving it correctly when they close and reopen the game so its going to the default of 60. and no im not using google translate, english is my first language. For updating Yes, but you need to keep in mind other specs to like the ram and SoC

i ask cs not long ago and they tell me this specs to play the game:

A SoC device with Snapdragon 835/Kirin 820/Dimensity 800/Exynos 980 or higher
6GB RAM or higher
you can go lower if you don't mind playing 30fps/low, but is recommended to be close to those

is because you have downloaded the GLB client, to see the SEA one on the app store you need to have an AppleID with the SEA region

well they all have the same SoQ and gpu, theres slight variations between storage, ram and battery but to simplify it the zenfone 10 has a lighter battery and less storage on the basic package and the ZTE's have the redmagic OS on it which idk might be weird but performance wise they all have the stuff to future proof honkai for at least 2-3 years i'd say

ok yup i understand whats happening exactly now and why the account retreival didnt work

so account retreival is used to link the old mihoyo accounts to the new hoyoverse accounts back when they changed the login over to hoyoverse last year. your honkai account is already linked to a hoyoverse, but a different one than the one you're trying to use right now.

what you need to do to get your old account back is read the hoyolab finding section in my guide in this PIN to see if you can find what hoyoverse your old account is on #🔌technical-help message

if you cant find it then you'll need to email customer support with your old accounts UID (its the one on the confirm screenshots) and tell them that you've forgotten what hoyoverse account your honkai is on because you havent played in a year or more #how-to-contact-cs

so just because that email worked for the old mihoyo accounts does NOT mean that its automatically using the same email for the hoyoverse account. and in your case it definitely isnt. the game created a new account because there was no honkai account on the genshin's hoyoverse account you used so it thought you were a new player and made a new honkai account

the yellow spinny circle is when its trying to upload your stage completion data to the server but cant, usually due to a connection issue but if it doesnt do it everytime that just means your connection isnt totally gone, just unstable so it comes and goes

I have this infinite loading problem after finishing some stages for example: Abyss, Inscribed Whispers farm quests and Kolosten side quests (picture). On the other hand Elysian realm works just fine and i had no problem with latest story quests. In general i feel like my connection became somehow worse since latest updates. Yeah you can't, the only ways is that you choose 1 account and start playing on the game that isn't there from the beginning,
that is why you need to be sure that you login in the correct account

And that is why I dont use 3rd party login anymore, they act the same all over the internet so I ended with many accounts for various websites/games before, easy to create at the start but a pain when you want to have the account organized

Since it was on my Google Play account, I had the idea to login using my Hoyo as usual, then just link the Google account into it. But then I remembered, what about the makeshift Hoyo?

Keep in mind that the game account will stay on the current HYV, you can't move it
Example

• (1) [Hi3 data] email 1 / G account
• (2) [GI/HSR data] email 2
  You can unlink the G account from (1) on the in-game user center, and then login on the other game to link it to (2)
  Will end like:
• (1) [Hi3 data] email 1
• (2) [GI/HSR data] email 2 / G account

Verify the game file + reinstall + checked the downloaded content
restart PC / reinstall driver for controller / USB hub through device manager
put the game through steam

the reason its struggling tough is cuz the game uses xinput for its controller which is the microsoft default windows xbox controller so it doesn't really have any playstation brand controller support so it can struggle sometimes

I’m having a lot of trouble with my Acer laptop that I use to run Genshin and Honkai Impact 3rd.
At first, the storage was low, so I installed a 2 terabyte drive as a second drive. I moved my Genshin and Honkai to trash and then reinstalled it onto the new drive. However, when I played the game, it would eventually crash and not only couldn’t I play the game, the drive containing the game would go missing. I tried fixing it by emptying the new 2 Terabyte drive and copying all the files from the old one into the 2 terabyte via Samsung data migration.
Then I trashed Genshin and Honkai and redownloaded it into the 2 terabyte.
Now something different happened, when my game would crash or if I would leave my game alone for too long, a “No Bootable Device” error message would show up. I would solve it using these instructions (https://community.acer.com/en/kb/articles/94-no-bootable-device-error-message ) or just force restart the computer. Eventually though, some sort of screen showed up where it was checking the drive - it had an estimate of around 45 minutes to finish but it didn’t seem to progress at all and then it crashed. Now when I try booting it up, it won’t even get to a point where I can open BIOS.
I might have a solution but I want to get some expert opinions first.
If you can’t tell what’s going on with my computer then please answer this, how do I completely uninstall Genshin and Honkai Impact from my computer?

it might be a failing HDD, id' try running command prompt as admin and running chkdsk /r and then after that also sfc /scannow to check for any missing or corrupt windows system files. if it still happens can try https://www.easeus.com/resource/error-code-0xc00000e.html

but as far as how to fully uninstall it just run the uninstaller in the launcher folder, that not only deletes all the files but removes the cache and registry flags

i would try repair first and if that doesnt work then boot into the safe mode (with networking if theres a safe mode and a safe mode with networking option) and try resetting windows in the windows settings. resetting will basically reinstall windows but keep everything in your documents and pictures folder, stuff like that

do the command prompt one and run these two commands (type it in and hit enter and then when its done do the next one)

sfc /scannow

then restart and try to see if that fixes it.

if that does not work then go back to the command prompt and type this in and select keep my files (please note that this will uninstall all your programs but will keep stuff in your documents, pictures, etc but you will need to reinstall every program that doesnt come default with windows)

The two terabyte is essentially unresponsive so we got a new one. Previously I thought the crashing issue was because windows was on one drive and the two terabyte held Genshin and Honkai - which is why I thought to do a transfer. However, my sister had Genshin and Star Rail on her computer on a 2nd drive and it works fine - which makes me think it’s not that.

I don’t exactly know what happened to break that drive, so out of curiosity I decided to ask people here what likely could have happened? I’m assuming someone has experienced or heard about something like this.
The part that’s confusing me the most is how the new hard drive broke down in about a week after I bought it from the store.

I think change my old main drive fits more. Once I migrated the data, I took out the old drive, and put the new drive where the old drive was. Then I left the old drive outside of the computer.

The preinstall is just the install files that you can download before the update, and you will get back the space after is installed, but the event stuff (that most of the time is Downloaded on the "updating settings" screen) is not delete after that, so those 300mb will stay until you make a reinstall
Like I said it shouldn't be a problem for most PC players, but after 4 ver. Updates you will have ~1GB on old event stuff
In my case I do a game reinstall once a year

The game only have official support for xinput(Xbox) and PS controllers, so because your controller is a 3rd party dinput one you need to try the steps 2 or 3

in short win need to follow some steps to works, and by cloning you just copy exactly those steps, but now you have a new "device" (drive), so if you dont "update/repair them" or one step was clone incorrectly can cause problems in the instructions that need the OS to work

Well, first, I just got a new drive to replace the 2 TB drive since it seemed like it was barely letting the computer load when trying to use the 2 TB
(Next, I need to be honest. My dad has been helping me with all this and he’s really good with computers. So, when we had been having problems, my Dad decided to solve our problems through our own ways. Since he was very experienced with computers, I trusted him to make his own solutions. I didn’t think it was important to mention but now it gives context to why I didn’t seem to follow all the instructions to a T.)
Instead my dad went into registry edit to delete everything related to Genshin and Honkai on the original drive. He noticed that some of the registry entries referenced to the 2 Terabyte drive even though we took it out already, so he deleted those besides the other stuff. We previously trashed the folders to those games and didn’t check the registry entries, so what my Dad thought happened was that the games were bugging out because they were reading from the drive from before it was cloned. Then he cloned the original drive to this new 1 TB drive. It’s working now, but idk yet if it’ll crash at some point.

oh if its working then yeah that should be fine. cloning is supposed to work after all. if theres any problems with the no bootable device found again though then try running the bootrec commands i shared to fix the boot record

Yeah, there aren’t any immediate issues but I’m still worried. While we were more thorough this time, the crashing and the “No Bootable Device” thing happened over time, so I’m not sure if the game running correctly at first is a good indication that everything is fine. it checks the actual size of the USB drive because TB sized USB drives are either horribly expensive, or a scam and are actually like 64GB with some tricks to make windows think its 1TB

as an example i personally bought a 2TB sized flash drive for like 20 USD about 5 years ago, i knew it was a scam but i was curious what its actual size was. I got it in the mail and windows said it was 2TB. i ran h2testw on it and it was 32GB actually. when i tried to copy a file bigger than 30GB the flash drive crashed and when i pulled it apart it was just a custom made sandisk 32gb inside

fair enough, but they're around 100 USD these days each so if theres a whole box of them thats like thousands of USD worth of USB drives per box

the whole reason im doing this in the first place is to free storage space on my laptop for my studies while still being able to play the games i enjoy

oh so yeah about that. if its plugged into a USB 3.0 port then the data transfer rate should be ok-ish. but the data transfer rate is much slower than HDD or SSD so it might lag especially if its not in a usb 3.0 port. just make sure the launcher has the right game location folder (the games folder with BH3.exe in it) then the launcher will know where the game is

but the inside is usually corrupted

32GB = 28.8GB (format by Windows)
64GB = 58GB (format by Windows)

yeah if the inside of the port that you're plugging into is blue then its usually usb 3.0 so thats fine

The problem with new scam drives is that they are now more "advanced" some once it reach the real size, will start writing over other files, so will act as the promoted size is real but every file will be corrupted
and in other just a 64-128gb slow SD

i dont remember it taking that long but i havent used it in ages. the time might go down a lot as progress bars are generally pretty inaccurate

Yeah I tested like you some drivers years ago, but not long ago I got to test others, and see those new tactics, still if you are lucky you can get a 128gb sd inside one to save basic stuff, ~~ really life gacha ~~.

tbh the next drive i get is gonna be a 4tb internal preferrably or external if need be drive for media storage. but IRL gatcha sounds like it could be fun lol though for price efficiency i'd probably get a box of dirt cheap pre used 64GB or something and try to make an arduino raid storage or something

Well the 2 I was able to open had slow SD, so i don't think will be a good raid storage

thats fair, if i ever do decide to try that idea it would be for more archiving solution due to the r/w speed. for media i'd need a better r/w speed to not suffer from buffer hell

especially since cheap HDD's are like 30USD for 1TB now
