Ok first and foremost, when you do account retrieval in the login screen can you get it to find your old account? Like to have it show your UID and level and everything?

Without reading through this entire conversation (sorry if this got answered part way through) but the reason it restarts is because of a corrupt download. That's it. So basically when it took 3 days to download, well that's an incredibly long time and pretty much anything would get corrupt at that long of a time. So basically all that happened was the download was corrupted so the game couldn't unzip it and restarted. You've already gotten it fixed I think but if this ever happens again the 5th pin fixes connection issues (like 100kbps download if that's unusual slow for you) and this is how you manually update #🔌technical-help message

Oh then that's your lost account. Do you really really care about it being on the same hoyoverse account as your genshin? (Not to be picky on the wording but please try to start calling then hoyoverse accounts because the old mihoyo account system which honkai used was discontinued around a year ago so if you call everything mihoyo accounts it'll maybe lead to confusion)

But another thing that will help is try doing the account retrieval and at the 2nd half, the hoyoverse login try using your main hoyoverse account (the one with genshin on it). It'll fail because your already have a honkai account it it but the error message will tell me im if you're honkai is already on a hoyoverse account or not

I see, make sure you're not using a japan node for nord either, maybe try a different country or two if its still happening. but if that doesnt fix it then i would say make sure your pc is up to date with windows (pending windows updates just makes windows behave weirdly) and if that doesnt help then contact your ISP since the issue is definitely with them

ah i see, then in that case no this is not possible. your honkai uses your google account which despite being the same email address as your genshins hoyoverse account is a different login entirely and also is on a different hoyoverse accounts so you have two hoyoverse accounts. Hoyoverse account A with your genshin and the lvl 1 honkai account that uses email login and hoyoverse account B with your main honkai account that uses your google account.

hoyoverse accounts cant be merged so you will need to use a different email address than your genshin to link to your honkai's hoyoverse account so you can login on pc and remember that you have two different logins or if your google account one is still kinda new then maybe start over with the lvl 1 one on your genshins account

ok thats good news. so that means that your honkai is not linked to any hoyoverse account right now. you just need to contact customer support to unlink the accidental account so that you can link your old honkai to it. Just explain to them that you accidentally made a tutorial account while trying to link your honkai and you'd like it deleted. if its still in the tutorial then they should do that pretty easy. give them the UID of your old account and if they give you a form to fill out with questions like when you last logged in, etc all that info needs to be about the accidental account. #how-to-contact-cs

alternatively you can just make a new email address and create a new hoyoverse account and link your honkai to that hoyoverse account. you said you didnt want to do this but if you change your mind then you can do this to get into your old account in about 10 ish minutes. going through customer support to delete the accidental account can take about 1-3 days for the first reply and then after that it just depends on how complex the process ends up being.

Hey. So I deleted honkai a long time ago and when I downloaded it, I restarted with a new account. I found a way to connect the old account I had (so this one is lvl 35, the new one is lvl 13 iirc). But the thing is, I used different emails. The email I used for the lvl 13 one is the same I used for genshin and honkai star rail. I want to link my lvl 35 account to that email. I tried it in-game but it says account(or email) already exists or something

ok so to answer all your questions. you have two hoyoverse accounts right now. one with your old honkai on it and one with your lvl 13 honkai + genshin. the reason your email changed for genshin as well is because they are both on the same hoyoverse account. do NOT delete it, that will delete your genshin account as well since its on the same hoyoverse account.

but you cannot merge hoyoverse accounts so you cant have them both on the same hoyoverse account, considering your old one is lvl 35 i would recommend just continuing to play with the lvl 13 one since these days you can get to lvl 80 in a month if you play enough

no, usersnames have to be unique beucause you can log in with them. if multiple accounts had the same username how would the servers know which accounts which when you go to sign in? also usernames cannot be changed once set to dont set it to something really dumb lol

ok so that means your honkai account is already on a hoyoverse account. when you contacted customer support did you just ask them to unlink the accidental account or did you just explain that you cant log in and they told you which hoyoverse account to use?

i gotcha, then in that case to avoid creating any more accidental accounts and stuff I'd email customer support and give them the UID of your old account and tell them that you have forgotten what the login for that account is. they'll provide you with a partially censored version of the login so you should recognize it.

onto the bad news though. hoyoverse accounts cannot be merged so while you might be like "oh yeah i know that email!" and log in just fine you cant have it on the same hoyoverse account as the one you had the accidental account unlinked from. I'm guessing its the same as your genshin or something. if however you do not recognize the email its on at all then that means your account might have been hacked and they can help with that if thats the case

if you try the hoyolab finding thing for things you think it is but cant find it then just give CS the UID and tell them you cant get in and you think its hacked

sorry but not possible. its not programmed into the game (so it only has fullscreen and windowed) and its impossible to force windows to display windowed applications as borderless. theres apps that can fake it but those have a chance to trigger the anticheat so i wouldnt recommend them

i spent a good afternoon trying to get it to work within windows and without messing with the game itself but its just not possible. any workable methods would most likely trigger the anti cheat so i stopped there

If you tell them that you don't know the "username" is normal that they answer that, because they are waiting that you login via email that why they ask you to click on "forget password"...

You only have a "HYV account" there is no "individual" per game, so any change that is made to the "login" (like change email) will change the way of login on all games.
They just ask for 1 game because it's all that they need to find the hyv and to compare your answer with their data

You have two hoyoverse accounts, 1 with an email and another with game center that just happens to have the same email. They're two different accounts though and can't be merged. What I'd recommend if you want to have an email linked to it and don't want to start over is to make a new email address and link that to your game center hoyoverse account

on your 2 emails, how did you try to login?, using the email or clicking on the "google" icon?

well ironically that worked to successfully update your launcher but the game itself is still messed up, probably from the earlier attempts. I would highly recommend connecting to a VPN like protonVPN (the USA or netherlands node) for stability and then trying to do the repair in the launcher (three lines next to launch and then repair) and if that does not fix it then i'd totally uninstall and reinstall while on the VPN

you have to log into the same hoyoverse account on pc as you are on ipad. i'm assuming you use your apple account to sign in on ipad so you'd need to link something the pc can use like email or username to be able to log in on pc

you dont need to do account retreival. what you have to do is log in to the game on your ipad, go to profile > account > user center.

that will auto log you into account.hoyoverse.com with your games account. from in there go to account security settings and link an email

(though since you already created an account with the email you were trying earlier it would be easiest to use a different one)

then you're simply using the wrong account or the wrong server, considering it found your old account on that server you're just simply logging into the wrong account then. account retrieval will give an error at the last half (the hoyoverse one). what i'd recommend doing is email customer support with your honkai accounts UID and tell them that it keeps logging you into a new account when you go to login. they'll tell you what hoyoverse account to use

hello, i downloaded the CN_SEA_sub.zip and extracted to videos folder. However, the CG at chapter 10 don't have the CN subtitles. I replayed the old CGs, they also lost the CN subtitles.

best chance you have is to try the account retreival and try everything like emails, facebook login, etc until it finds your old account, then try to link it to a hoyoverse account (not your facebook one) and see if that works, if it fails then contact customer support with your UID and ask them for assistance #how-to-contact-cs

but if you cant find it via account retrieval then theres no real way for customer support or us to help if you cant remember your old login details. if a friend has your UID you can ask customer support for help but they cant help without a UID
