well im back from google. the answer is that they're 1. very good at optimizing games. 2. usually make games release in a done state since they dont have a publisher breathing down their necks. 3. unlike other consoles (playstation as an example) where a blueray disk costs the same whether the game is 1GB of 20, higher capacity cartridges are expensive to produce so space saving is part of the development cycle from the get go so whereas a game on another console may not use compression at all to squeeze out better performance, nintendo will compress and stuff

Hey, I kind have a similar problem. I was playing on steam and I wanted to continue my progress at my phone. But I was unable to login in my steam acc at my phone (obviously). If I download the official client, am I going to lose all my progress of the steam version? (Sorry for the big text)

yeah kinda... your account will still exist on steam if you want to return, but you will need to start a new account to play on the HYV account ver.

only steam and huawei have that problem, and that is why on steam most of the negatives are for that same reason

afaik if you dont have anything enable that let you change the size directly from the "window" then you are good, if you have just a clean win installation it should be impossible to resize unless you do it in game settings

definitely a connection issue like i said. or at least a 99.9% chance. that spinning circle has once or twice being caused on samsung mobile phones having the samsung browser set to the default. but very likely connection issue and hopefully teh VPN fixes it but if not then the 4th pin has other things that will fix it

try this:

Go into Settings

System -> Power ->Advanced Power Settings -> Change what closing the lid does ->
Set both "When plugged in" and "When on battery" to "Do Nothing".

Close the lid. Your Windows login session should stay up and visible on the external monitor.

Restart the computer, leave the lid closed.

i will tell you its like REALLY BAD condition, the neck or where the lid/display meets with the main body uhmyeh its hella exposed and cracked

if you're feeling up to it just take the front bezel off of your laptop to access the wiring for the internal screen and just literally unplug the ribbon cable to the display so bios will have to go to external monitor (also this is all assuming the external monitor is directly plugged into the laptop and isnt via a docking station or anything)

oof, then tbh getting the bezel (the plastic bit surrounding the display) might not be that hard but i'd still recommend looking at the users manual

Epic games version is the exact same client as the global PC version with the exception of a couple of extra files to get the epic store to show up when topping up which gives you more choices when buying but other than that there is 0 difference

not really? for honkai some of the mods wrote a javascript thing to get the servers API for it and update the links accordingly but if you know how to do that then sure go for it but as far as i know no ones made something like that for HSR

its really just some specific prying but to remove the bezel its on page 29. the display panel should be connected to the motherboard via a ribbon cable which if you unplug will just unplug the laptop display

should be fine then, its just defaulting to the laptop lid even though the screen is down which it shouldnt but if the magnetic sensor is failing then it wouldnt recognize the lid as "closed" during bootup

if that doesn't help at all then the only option left resetting your windows. is its basically reinstalling but keeps your personal files and stuff (yes you'll need to reinstall all your apps) but it will be a clean install of windows minus any bloatware, tracking cookies, and yes your games so it'll be a lot of redownloading but that will definintely fix it. you can start that by clicking on start, typing "reset" and clicking the option called reset this pc

yeah, genshin, honkai and league of legends plus some others are crashing almost immediately and honkai error logs all pointed to the d3dll as the issue

saying stuff like shaders not compatible with their gpu and stuff but every error named d3dll as its issue which considering is a windows dll and is affecting many games its likely broke good

yes, it'll be a clean installation of windows and your computer will run like new (cuz on a software level it is lol). to be perfectly honest its very healthy for a computer to reinstall windows about every 3 years or so

If by any chance you were using the proton VPN then if you were using the Japan node then don't use that, use the USA one. The Japan one can have issues connecting to honkai

that effect is "always on" but keep in mind that not all valk have that same vfx, they can have other trail effect or some don't leave a "trail"
still, if the valk have the vfx but you dont see it, probably its a broken asset or a problem with your pc (like drivers, not enough vram, etc)

The honkai account it's going to stay with the hyv account you can't move it, but you can change the email/phone/3rd party login.
And you can't use the same email for 2 hyv accounts.

ok so your account looks like its been hacked, account retreival is just for linking old mihoyo accounts to the new hoyoverse system so that wont help you at all. please first do these things:

go to your gmail and change the password and then IMMEDIATELY log it out of all devices:
Go to your Google Account.
On the left navigation panel, select Security.
On the Your devices panel, select Manage all devices.
Select the device and then Sign out.

then change the password to everything you can think of (no really, do this its really important) especially any linked 3rd party accounts to honkai (like facebook, etc)

then email honkai customer support #how-to-contact-cs and tell them you've been hacked and that they just changed your linked email so you cant login or change it back to your email and give them your UID and they'll work with you to get rid of the linked email after proving that you're the genuine account owner and work with you to get it back. and even though i say it later, really dont share your account. if you were sharing your account then maybe you weren't hacked but a "friend" stole it.

Also please do follow this guide to avoid future danger

Don't download files offering free items / fps boost
Don't click links and putting your information there
Don't share account
Do link email and phone number for 2FA activation
Activate gaming email 2FA
Don't use the same password
Don't use your username as nickname

Additional Note:
When using Hoyoverse on Web browser clear cookies after using them or just use incognito so that cookies used will be auto deleted (This is just for extra safety measures)
Do not save passwords on your browser it's better if you write it down or a password manager

initial replies are usually within 1-3 days. it depends on how busy they are but the fastest i've seen is like a few hours but if they're busy it can be a couple of days for their initial reply. then they'll likely have you fill out a form which you need to answer accurately so they can prove you're the account owner and then they'll get it taken care of. from start to finish the whole process will probably be a couple of days to like a week, depending on several things

well this is the error that your output_log gave: ERROR: Shader Shader is not supported on this GPU (none of subshaders/fallbacks are suitable) so since we've exhaustively ruled out software it might be hardware but i can check if league is saying similar things if you go to C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\Logs\LeagueClient Logs and share the 2017-04-21T12-00-40_17864_LeagueClient file (The file name will include the time it was created)

but its weird that no one else has reported this issue for gtx 1060's i thought they were still sorta common

i just tried with low rendering acc, barely any difference, still getting fps drops from ~100 to 30

ah then thats why, rendering accuracy set to very high uses 2.5 sampling which is such a huge drain even at 1080p and is bottlenecking with your older GPU that wasnt made for that kind of sampling rate.

smooth framerate for very high rendering accuracy is only achieved at higher resolutions with like a 4070 or something around there. if you turn the graphics preset to quality your issues should be more consistent. I know you've had it maxed since 2019 but the game has also gotten about 2-3 times more graphically more demanding since then.

as far as the ultimates being higher frame rate, its a set animation with most other stuff paused so unless your GPU is struggling with a certain effect of it then it'll have higher fps due to less things needing to be calculated until it goes back to fight mode

tbh 1060's are starting to not reliably run the game anymore due to their age and newer drivers not being fully supported at the hardware level

you can try totally ruling out hardware issues by putting the graphics on low and testing a stage. if same problems then maybe an unsupported shader or something is making it lag or just a broken installation, can ask CS about that #how-to-contact-cs

but if on low the fps lag and drops stop happening then theres your issue right there

no that that wasnt my point, I know that 1070's can render up to 4k if its not having to do much else. i just know that you said rendering accuracy was set to very high and i know for a fact that very high is not really considered usable by most users due to having less than 30fps unless they're on a 4070 or better on 2k+ resolution so thats why i asked but since you ruled that out already with testing it on low then its something else and the easiest way to rule out hardware entirely is to put it on low but if not then it could be a driver/game installation issue basically

just a quickest way to test and all that

but assuming theres still lag issues on low then other than reinstalling the game there isnt a way to easily fix it or tell whats causing it so CS would be the way to go

Nope it does it's really obvious in top down camera games like Diablo, I get an extra 3 inches or so of seeable stuff on each side compared to regular aspect ratio. Though it does depend on the game since some just stretch it out to fit and others just show more on the sides

And in Diablo 2 (old version) in Fullscreen mode where your character speed across the screen is dependent on how much distance there is to the screen edge I run about 25% faster sideways compared to vertically

Only way to reduce space on mobile is to reinstall the game and select the minimal assets option the first time you open the game. That should make your install around 18.5 GB until you start downloading more resources after you open the game

If you're still having this issue try resetting your router or trying a different country with a VPN. If you were trying Japan earlier then that might be why. Boogers in Japan struggle with non JP servers in honkai for whatever reason

I mean graphically wise it is actually the best content they've released to date. They added some new effects. Regardless of what's in the content playability wise the newest stuff is almost always the most graphically intensive because they keep adding new renderers, shaders and samplers in the game starting with new stuff all the time and sharpening\increasing their textures.

Idk what you heard back in 2019 but your hardware was fine back then and it's still fine now it's just aging and can't reliably handle the maximum performance if the things they've been adding in graphically that literally didn't exist 2 years ago. Heck someone on a 1060 a little earlier is getting crashes because honkai and a half dozen other unity games like league of legends are giving shaders not supported on your hardware errors and crashing despite having up to date drivers so yeah the 10 series is starting to show it's age as game companies start doing things that the cards can't or struggle to support. At least it still works fine on medium I think you said without any performance drops, since it doesn't have to restart you can switch to that level of preset only when doing new stuff

this is not just for honkai, but recently everytime when i open a game a static noise comes from my speakers. when i try to adjust the wires a bit i kindve goes away but then comes back again. how can i fix this? i dont want to fiddle to much with the problem without help to prevent any damage

If it didn't work it had to have given an error message, probably something like the honkai account is already registered to a hoyoverse account. If that's the error you're getting then you'll need to wait on CS to tell you what account it's on

Can you try the account retrieval again and then when it gives a link failed error message or a link success message at the end can you screenshot that and send it here?

The only time it makes a new honkai account when you log in is if there is no honkai account on that hoyoverse account (for that server) that you're using so it thinks you're a new player and makes a new honkai account if that makes sense

Right, that means that your honkai is already on some other hoyoverse account, you probably forgot what it's login is (might not be on email, could be Twitter or something) but customer support has the ability to tell you what account it's on as long as they have your UID

That's because the in game nickname is not the same thing as your username. Usernames have to be set by you on the hoyoverse account website, it doesn't prompt you to make one and those can't be changed. You can change your nickname 20 times a day if you want but not your username

Their first reply is usually within 1-3 days assuming you emailed honkai customer support with these emails #how-to-contact-cs

Hoyoverse support can be longer cuz they're more worked

That's the old mihoyo account system which can't be used to log in as of last July (they made everyone switch to hoyoverse accounts then) so whole it used your email on the old mihoyo system it won't work to log in with the hoyoverse system of that makes sense. The only purpose of account retrieval is to link your old mihoyo account to a hoyoverse account

that message is usually a connection issue, if its still happening and restarting your computer doesnt fix it (cuz steam might be bugging out or having server issues, they do have those occasionally) then try the stuff in the 4th pin. if you get to trying the VPN then just dont use the japan node, it has issues. just use the USA one

Authentication failed almost always means it tried to log you in but due to not connecting to the server it doesn't and "fails"
