We've also expanded the boosting program. <@&622556104747909131> is now also obtainable by boosting Deku Emojis, in addition to the previous Toga or Ochaco Emojis options. Details on the Emojis server and invite can be found in #affiliates.
A new channel,#qotd, has been introduced, and will be a place which will have a new random question daily, that people can respond to in a thread attached to the channel. There's also a new role available in #roles to receive pings for when the daily questions are released.

As some of you may have already noticed, we have switched over the majority of our filtered terms from Gaius to Discord's native AutoMod.
What it means for users is that instead of having your message containing filtered content sent then near instantly deleted by our bot, your filtered message now will no longer actually be sent at all, and will be highlighted red on your screen stating we have content from it blocked in our community.
Simply telling y'all all this so there is no confusion when it occurs, and so no one attempts to test the filter when they notice this change 
With this change, we are trying out some filter changes in #recipro-boosters for our <@&585538141268475904> & <@&622556104747909131> members. The booster channel will have less restrictions on specific swear words that are prohibited in other channels. Boosters will still be filtered or punished if these terms are used as an insult towards another, spammed for no reason, or used in any way that breaks any of our core #rules.

Hello Everyone,
I had a few server updates we'd like to announce.
First up, for the next day (ending <t:1669766400:f>), the entire server will receive a 2x XP Boost, in celebration of Kyle Phillips giving us another AMA! Be sure to check #event-news so you can send in a question for him to answer. 
Second, we have restructured #mha-games name and description slightly, broadening it from only mobile games to all MHA games, in anticipation for the release of Ultra Rumble.
And finally, we have introduced a new channel using Discord's recently added Forum feature. It is a new General District channel #1046893018722074655; where you can about the various kinds of media not already covered by our gaming and anime channels, such as sports, movies, TV shows, music, books, etc.

With My Hero Academia: Vigilantes having ended last year, we have decided it is time to archive the Vigilantes channel in Series Discussions District.
Due to this, we have converted movies-n-miniseries over to #mha-movies. All MHA mini-series and spin-offs can be discussed in here, such as Vigilantes, Team-Up Missions, School Briefs, & Smash!!. Conversations on the MHA Movies and OVAs can go into #mha-anime, along with all the other current MHA animation. If the need arises such as a new OVA or Movie, we will create a thread in #mha-anime for that new material.

Due to the rapid growth of Artificial Intelligence technology and the many increasing controversies in relation to them, we have decided to prohibit any and all AI Generated Images/Art from being posted anywhere in the server. Any usage of AI assistance towards Bonus Roles will lead toward immediate punishment and disqualification.

Hello Everyone!
We're introducing a new application process for our community teams and the server staff to recruit members who are the best fit for each role. Each application will include role-specific questions. Also, we are forming an art team responsible for various art projects, such as banners and role icons, so it's your time if you always wanted to work visuals for the server! The current Emote Team will be integrated into this new Art Team.
Candidates selected from the application process will be invited to participate in interviews within dedicated channels, allowing for a more interactive evaluation of their suitability for the role.

We recently updated the forms for Event Feedback and Event Suggestions in #event-forms. In addition, we added a form to more easily schedule auditions for our Musical Bonus roles. #bonus-roles has also been updated to reflect this change.

My Hero Academians, as you may have noticed recently, discord has been implementing "Server Tags" to many servers. Naturally as the MHA Server we will have the MHA tag when our time comes. Not only that, if you all were to boost our emote servers (found here #partners message) they will also receive a server tag in relation to their character(s) of focus. I.e The Dabi emote server which has already received theirs shown below!

We're also aware of the flaws in judging another tier and the lack of diversity in art styles, which has made it harder to view submissions equally.

5:19PM PST - Shady user showed up, spotted and banned after multiple failed attempts to post inappropriate messages,
5:21PM PST - Multiple bot accounts started appearing, server was frozen via @clever hatch immiedietly
5:21PM PST - Staff alerted
5:23PM PST - Public announcement regarding the attack was posted
5:32PM PST - After banning the bot accounts and giving some additional time the server was reopened
The Gaius security team has been on high alert monitoring a growing situation where bot armies are sent to servers all over the world with malicious intent. The last hour or two has been filled with massive bot army attacks all over the world on Discord and we've been waiting for it to hit us after a close in size server was full forced hit without staff available.
We will continue to monitor the situation throughout today, if you see suspecious user(s) join at anytime, ping the Heroes or Sidekick roles right away.

Alright lets get this done with, due to an issue with the bot a lot of people we're given 10x their current xp which completely broke the system. In order to balance the order since it was impossible to track every issue user down we issued the rebuild protocal
Essentially everyone gets set to the XP needed for their highest role. If I have All For One then i need 57,148 XP. Rebuild sets me to 57,148 XP nothing more nothing less.

You can post your request in #level-fixes if you lost a fair or huge chunk of xp, we'll go through the history and restore your xp as soon as possible.
To make up for this we'll be doing some pretty big stuff next week to make up for it, so stay tuned

As some of you may have noticed, the text filters have changed in some cases. This is due to us testing some changes before Monday comes around.
Depending on severity and usage you may receive escalated punishments. Standard swears etc will remain cosmetically filtered as normal, however more offensive and common evasion words will result in a buffed auto punishment ranging from a few minutes mute to thirty minutes and/or warn.
This has been in testing for the last few days and we've been monitoring the situation tuning things and removing false warns from misflags. We understand this isn't infallible but the goal is to handle as much load as possible coming from users 24/7 for the next few weeks.
In order to better assist with misflags we've added a new option to the appeal form called "Bad Filter". Submit an appeal via this category and we will be notified immediately and review it, if is an issue we will remove the warn and mute from your record. This will also assist us in tuning the filter even better.
We thank you for your cooperation and assistance during these coming weeks.

We've updated #rules to be easier to understand
Recipro Boosters now receive .25% permanent XP boost as awarding a role XP is no longer technically viable with this server size.

As you likely have noticed, we have two new Interns, Emi and IconFive! We want to clarify that these interns were not predetermined. They applied through the same process as everyone else and are now on their way to becoming fully fledged moderators of the server. Our goal was two new Heroes and Interns which we met, however with our current rate of growth we will likely be recruiting interns again in the future.
In regards to applications we've also made changes to our future policy for the review process to allow for users who've made notable behavioral changes since they started on this server to become staff even if they started out bad way back when. People can change, so can we. If you have any questions about Internships etc feel free to DM me anytime and I'll answer the best I can!

Hello everyone. Recently some events occurred within the server and we wanted to share some information in regards to that. First off, we apologize for what happened and for the trouble caused to the affected users. Because of that we reflected on our actions as the administration and realized those actions were a mistake on our part. We've had a change in ownership and some shuffling around in the admin team at large as well with some of them stepping down. In addition a number of moderators have also parted ways with staff as well. We thank all of them for all the work they did for this server and wish them the best of luck with all their future endeavors. We ask the users to not engage in the bashing of ex-staff or any type of witch-hunting.
Going forward, the staff team will be rebuilding. Users blanket banned in relation to Hideout have been unbanned and we'd like to once more apologize to them. We've made changes to the rules to both ensure such incidents do not repeat themselves and also for some matters to be clearer for users. We have a new feedback/suggestions system in place. You'll be able to DM the "Feedback" bot your suggestions for the server and they will then be placed in a specialized channel for staff to see. We ask nicely that you do not abuse it. We'll be bringing in a caretaker moderator on a temporary basis to ease the burden on remaining staff while we look to carefully rebuild the staff team. We'll make an effort to have better communication within the staff team and, despite the rebuilding process, to stay united for the times to come. From now on we'll try our best to improve and be a team suited to run this community. We greatly appreciate everyone who's part of the server and kindly ask for your continued support as we are working on addressing the problems that were pointed out to us.

We've spent the last little while revisiting our auto-filter list. We recognized that it was getting very restrictive. Therefore, we took time to go through it and removed the filter off of words that we thought could be allowed, in moderation, back into chat.
DO NOT use this as an excuse to start spamming words that were previously filtered. We can just as easily filter words again if they're being spammed or abused. If you're curious about the words that are back, do not spam. Just allow your chat to happen as usual and you may test the words in-context. It goes without saying that harsher swears and racial slurs are still filtered, so don't even try with those.

Please be aware that Twitch has been compromised. While passwords are encrypted, you should still update your passwords and enable 2FA, just to be safe. You can use a password manager like Keepass or Dashlane to generate a secure password for you. Alternatively, Google Chrome has a similar feature built in.

We've introduced a new way to give feedback & suggestions for the server or its events. #event-forms has a message you can react to which begins the process in your DMs, be sure to read the instructions contained in it if you have any questions.
Its mostly similar to the old process but uses a different bot and allows us to notify those with successful suggestions that their input was accepted or implemented more easily & consistently. #ratethatep has also been hidden until S6 begins.

We've been experiencing some issues with Play, which caused select users to lose their Level 1 role in their role path.
If you are unable to use permissions you normally have (upload images, post external emotes, stickers, etc.), this is likely the reason.
To fix it, simply go to #bot-depot, and type >restart roles, and confirm the restart with yes.
Then type >level up, and respond with the appropriate Level 1 role in the role path you desire.

Greetings Everyone 
We are going to be making some channel changes to try and improve experiences here.
I'll be implementing these changes over the coarse of the next hour. I don't want to inhibit any chat that is still occurring, so I won't be touching any channels other than these listed:
- Rooftop is going to be archived. However, #general will now allow commands for users Level 5 and above (in addition to Boosters). All users are also still free to use #bot-depot for commands as well.
- Sports-n-shows is being archived. Feel free to engage in sports or tv talk in #general, or any other general chat channel.
- Lounge is also being archived. Small amounts of off topic chat is allowed in Series channels, but please move to #general if it continually remains off the topic of MHA.
- We are merging Workshop-Crafts into #artists-corner, as well as Workroom-OC into #written-works. This is simply to reduce channel redundancy as well as try and limit the amount of confusion as to what art goes where.
- We are bringing back discussion of unreleased manga chapters, in the new channel #mha-manga. This channel is DISCUSSION ONLY, we are still not allowing links or images to illegally distributed content. This channel will remain open, but please move discussion to #series-general once the chapter officially releases. This channel will also be role locked behind the Manga role just like #series-general.
We are also adjusting a couple of roles:
- The Art District Pass is being retired for the Art District. New users will be able to speak in the District as soon as they join. However, they will still need level 1 for uploads and embedding links.
- The Vigs News role is no longer going to role lock the #vigilantes-manga channel. It will still be pinged for chapter releases and news updates, but isn't required to speak in the channel.
I appreciate your patience and co-operation as we try out these changes. Please feel free to give any input on them using the server feedback option in #event-forms

- Given the mixed responses from our Role Icon Feedback form, we will be removing the current Role Icons from all Level Roles EXCEPT the Hero Course Branch (Class 1A, Class 2A, Class 3A, Intern, and Alumni).
- We have discontinued the Gaius
!!reportcommand, general server feedback from #event-forms, and the Bonus Role submission form. In place of all 3, we've brought in a new ModMail system. Simply DM @thorn vessel with your feedback, report, or Bonus Role submission, and we'll respond as quickly as we can.
