You can try walking around hoping they’ll move into the right spot. Get friends or some people to join instead. Else close the game, and wait for fixes that may never come.
Hi, I want to talk about bug at C1. So my friend and i play C1 and we took the cell generator, and after that we scan the check poin. Not long after that we die and we restart at the check point, the bug when we reset at check point the original cell generator we took was 4 but after the reset the cell generator we have 6 cell generator and we cant drop it, we try to input the cell it work but sill cant drop.
That’s a known bug. If all actual real cells are still in the level on the ground the ones stuck with a fake cells can leave, and rejoin. Hope the host doesn’t have a fake. (Note: If a real cell is missing it can be inside a generator. Will ask you to hold E if you have free hands, and look at the gen with a real cell bugged inside)
Best solution if you get frustrated with this bug is to never use checkpoints or stop playing.

Make your friend leave the game, create a bot to replace him, suicide and restart to the cp with the bot, have your friend join back to replace the bot and this should fix the problem.

Not true. The case in B1 can bug out after you’ve gotten rid of it (since it’s no longer in the level on the ground leaving, and rejoining won’t fix you)

Really isn’t. The original case is used, and gone. So nothing to stop you from carrying the fake one.
The reasons if people pick up the real objects the fake one can be “dropped” in a way that transfers the bug to another player holding an object.
Game got out of earlyaccess after they figured out some story bits. But the game was, and still isn’t release ready. Most people playing the free weekend experienced some bug or another. Best for you, and your friends to leave the game, and hope things get fixed, and another free weekend then. But could be years with this track record.

Not good news, and it’s still incredible they released the game in this state. Been an issue for so long. Then having no clue how to fix it is just another reason to not have hope they will.

Can bots even pick up objects? Lot of work arounds. Sadly you still waste time, boosters, and add frustration.

How do you tell them to? It’s not in the Q commands, and pinging it just pings it. Maybe they added something, but as far as I know they haven’t. Frustrating for C1 with 4 cells, and the bots not helping carrying them.
we did this multiple times with fogtubines in R6D4 and i am pretty sure it was a Q command
Would have been nice if that was in the tutorial. But that doesn’t teach you how to even mark things.
Maybe the bot was programmed for the fog turbine only? Can’t say I remember. Mainly play with a full group tho.

That’s actually useful (if it works right for all objects) wish the tutorial thought you this instead of stuff you’d learn better in the first level. (Tho this A1 makes you escort a HSU to a machine, and back which confuses new players)

Known bug. You can try leaving, and re-joining to see if it fixes it or say goodbye to the run.

B2 has some faulty storage boxes, faced against the wall
The main problem is that battery what i have on my back is in generator
We had the checkpoint bug with battery. Bugged player killed himself with fall damage > Disconnect > Rejoin and it worked again
B1 is in a really bad state. Joined 2 lobbies, crashed on dropin/load screen very quickly, took down my whole system (other programs unresponsive after game closed), had to reboot. Turned off all graphics effects and loaded in on local hosted games w/ bots no issue.
Debating setting up the log manager in the bug-reporting channel
D1 also the same it supose we had a alarm with the big room and actually nothing happend no alarm no scan the doors open and we had some boxes inside on the ground and 1 of the boxes said suprise box but u cant rly open them
Hey people, i'm having a problem, my game keeps crashing when i'm starting a mission, in the elevator. I can only hear the first deep breath and the game crashes
i already tried reducing everything to minimum in the graphic specs (and in other configs too like reducing the resolution to 800 x 700x to see if that helps) , disabling discord and steam overlays, verifying the integrity of the game files and while i didn't try to reinstall, this problem has happened everytime since i redownloaded the game, so i don't think that'll help
can i do something else? is this something common?
which map? I'm getting this behavior consistently joining B1 lobbies. I was able to host and launch B1 locally without issue.

Check the crash logs which are located in: %userprofile%/appdata/local/temp/10 chambers collective/gtfo/crashes
If it spits out something about "memory access violation" then you are kind of out of luck as the cause could be:
- Your memory being weird (not particularly faulty).
- Your OS doing weird stuff that blocks the program from working
- A possibly unrelated. program interfering with the game's process, making it crash.
If anything the easiest fix attempt is to try restarting your computer hoping it works
Whenever me and a friend tried to play the game, most of the time when we're in the elevator descent, he'll get kicked out of the game and discord, and I'm wondering if there's a solution for this?

anyways then the crash log starts listing "stacks for running threads", which is a long fucking list i tell'ya, until it gets to the thread 12528, where it says more of that "funtion name not available" thing and also something like "a inicialization routine of the DLL failed"

a lot of threads later it just gets to the metadata of the crash report, and i'm not putting that here since i already typed a long enough message
i just restarted, and i guess the game ran for 0.3 seconds more time than yesterday before crashing again, so yay

Dont hold any objective items when doing checkpoint scans, it's a bug
The ingame settings include an option called "max render queue frames", while this is pretty much self-explaining i don't know does this affect the CPU or the GPU or both? I have set the option to max (10 frames) and then to minimum (1 frame) and i don't notice any difference in gpu and cpu temperatures, but if im not mistaken the game appeared a bit more "smooth" when the setting was set to 10 frames. Can anyone explain this well?

Enemies are visible for me, for him they are invisible he kind of can see a slight silhouette of an enemy
He cannot see any enemies that come when alarm goes off

Hi guys my friends and I are trying to play but we are just endlessly falling
Was on C1 right after the checkpoint we wiped and when we reloaded the checkpoint the one of our players couldnt interact with anything and the other was stcuk holding a battery
Known bugs. Only real fix is to close the game, and rejoin if you can. That or wait for a fix in the far future.
I don't know the exact technical explanation of it, but in a nutshell the more frames the more stable/higher your fps will be at the cost of added latency
No matter what I cannot have a 4th player. I have tried reinstalling, restarting, closing all background processes, verifying files, etc. When I host, I cannot have a 4th player join, nor can the 4th bot join solo. Bot won't appear and any 4th player who joins has a black name, no one can see them in lobby, and it won't let me drop. It's been a persistent bug I've encountered since full release
I am in desperate need of help. I have spent around more than 10 hours trying to figure this problem out. Everytime we load into a game, I either get a screen saying that the program is not responding, a screen from the Unity Crash Handler or it just instantly crashes all together. I have tried every single method I could think of or was recommended to me. Updating graphic drivers, uninstalling the game and deleting the 10 Chambers Collective files and reinstalling, stopping my CPU from overclocking, closing other tabs, having my friend host. It does not seem to be network issues because its the same case when I'm offline and trying to play with bots. Please help. RTX 2070 Intel Core i7 3.60GHz 16.0 GB

#known-issues .. clear windows temp, reboot.. reinstall your gfx driver (clean install), gfx card loads bad shaders and game crashes, thats usually my #1 suspicion when crash after starting drop..
steam killed your lobby. sorry. it happens sometimes. no fix im afraid, restart run. :(
windows temp empty, reboot. if no help, consider reinstall windows. (helped a few similar) .. :(
In the future, don’t carry an objective (cell, baby,etc) into the checkpoint scan. Just drop it, checkpoint scan, then pick it back up.

on B1 main objective seems to be glitched, won't update after the ||final encounter with the scan||
just had a run end on c1 due to the battery being stuck in your hands bug, real annoying to deal with especially when boosters were used

Was there ever a fix found for this my buddy is having the same issue.
Anyone having the issue where AI won't go onto a security door scanner. We get to the same door about 8 times and he just won't get on it no matter what we try. Then there is another glitch where if one of us is carrying the hsu when we get the checkpoint and get wiped, one of us is stuck holding it without being able to drop it. We had to restart a couple times, however we just make sure no one is holding it when getting checkpoint. The first problem is the real issue unless you have a full party. We only have 3.
can we maybe add all of those Common Bugs an fixes to #known-issues ? There is a ton of people with the same Problems over and over again
Have you tried kicking the bot and adding it again?
In the middle of the game? You can do that?
Press ESC Set the bot spot to Players only and whatever it was before

If the bot is stuck somewhere, or you need to de-spawn and re-spawn it, hit the ESCAPE key, locate the bot and change the permission to "locked" to despawn the bot, then change the permission back. Bot will then respawn.

We used the bot to hold then he just gets glitched out standing there
Once bot picks it up we can drop it, it'll just be stuck on the ground
Rejoining didn't work. We found the work around. Just not have it in your hands on checkpoints
You can kick the bot while He holds the "Fake" item that Removes it
I think there was a bot command menu, but I forgot which was the command to access it

Me and some friends are doing A1 and got to the last objective for the NCR and we just can't interact with it in any way possible. if it's an item and not the bed with the working tablet when we ping it it resides behind it and is not able to be seen.

type in "COMMANDS", look at bottom most row
the special oneoff commands on terminals are always at the bottom (if there are any)

I dont know if it's a report channel for bugs / problems but , i've been here a lot since rundown 7 Release ; i wanted to notify (and i hope im the only one) everytime i try to play the game it crashes , and right after i cannot play anygame as when i try to launch a game I bsod saying NVLDDMKM.SYS , and why i go in event viewer it says that GRAPHICAL drivers have been damaged and i have to reinstall GPU drivers

#known-issues has some stuff to try, and clearing windows temp can do wonders (reboot after) .. we've had cases where gtfo crashes while gfx is initializing and usually windowstemp and a gfx driver full reinstall will fix.. usually.
i did even more i did a clean windows install yesterday

i reall suspect r6 or r6.5 compiled some shaders that r7 now is unable to do, loads up wrong stuff and borks the gfx card or its driver

hmm i would turn to google and look up everything i said above.. if the gfx card has been "on power" since problems began, try to "flush" power out completely, have it really reset

but it would be Random since it's the only game doing that 
either can lead into problems, u can have a good psu but it still limits wattage to the gpu and oc gpu can then go wonky etc

The Random thing is , was playing R6 24 Hours before R7 Release NO PROBLEM , and then updated and crashes all over the place

ayy yo, im moving slightly all the time in game. and my cursor is also moving slooowly to the botton left, i dont know how to explain it. Its only in GTFO (even in main menu) i tried verifying my files. I tried unplugging my keyboard and my mouse. With this bug i cant stealth cause im constant moving very slowly. I can see it very clearly when im standning still and hacking a door or a box

Last update... Twice we redo the mission and we can't find this fucking key in B1 in area 89a as indicated on the terminal. Is this expedition 'hidden object'?. Why did you lower the difficulty by adding so many first aid kits and ammo? It's Christmas ? The bots are often behind (when we should be grouped in the movements) and take a different path from the player. Will you continue to improve the AI of the bots? If you don't have time to do it, let the modders make a mod to improve the bots like in L4D2. (it's just a suggestion ^_^)...
On D1, The objective stack(last part of main) displays CONFIRM_TIMED_SEQUENCE as the command to enter on the main terminal, the correct command is CONFIRM_TIMED_CONNECTION.
just do "confirm" then press tab

Just had a bug, first one in this game. Zone B1, I had gone down and then wasn't able to interact with items after being revived. Doors, chests, carriable objective items, downed teammates, ect.

See if your input and output are set correctly
Sometimes the solution though is to straight up just leave and rejoin, so try that first

I was playing b1 with some friends yesterday and when we respawned at checkpoint, two of us were stuck with containers on our hands and no way to get the guns out. Does anybody know a way to fix this?

any advice would be appreciated
You can try putting down all carriables 2 minutes before starting a checkpoint, and not pick up any till a minute after the door opens.
If you already got stuck with fake stuff you can try to leave, and rejoin to see if it fixes you. Else the best advice is to just not play, and maybe the game will be fixed at some point.
Has been a bug for a while tho, and devs have no clue about why it happens or how to handle it. So probably not soon.
as the guy above me said, always put down containers/cell or anything you carry before activating a checkpoint, as for a fix while in a mission? there is none
ok so heres my problem
- we infinitely drop when loading into missions
- i can exit expedition mid drop and then my friends load in fine
- i can later rejoin the mission, which works, but one of my friends (its always the same guy) can't see my move, i just stand where i spawned.
- my friend tried rejoining, same problem
- we all verified game integrity
- we can all start solo missions
thx, we weren't carrying anything when we were activating the checkpoint, will try the good old "rejoin" method next time this happens
if you did not carry anything while activating a checkpoint, then i dont know why it happend
i had no idea either, although the hsu was close to us and we delivered a box to schaeffer before activating the checkpoint

it could be it's just the "dropping and loading in" part that they still haven't fully ironed out

these issues happens a lot with games using p2p for multiplayer, although i don't know if this game uses p2p
or it might just be outright netcode issues and they need to take time to fix it

Hello everyone, my friends and I decided to play GTFO, one of us just bought the game, and he has a problem connecting to us, someone has a new player displayed, someone does not, we cannot lower the lift, as soon as we create a lobby without him, the match starts quietly. Found an article with a similar problem(https://steamcommunity.com/app/493520/discussions/0/4763089742378875788 /), but we are not aware of what other third-party processes may interfere with the descent of the lift.
So when my friend (and it's only that one specific friend to which the problem occurs) tries to join, the whole lobby can't see his weapons and/or his character. Now that wouldn't be so bad but when we try to launch any games, it just won't launch, the bar will be reset to 0%. Anybody knows a fix? UPDATE: Here's a video of a guy having the same ...

1 of the friends cannot start the game with us, as soon as he connects to our lobby, the "Initiate Edge Drop" button does not appear, besides all this, he is not correctly displayed., I attach 2 screenshots from me (1 in the list), and a friend (3 in the list), a friend who has problem - 2 in the list

problem player try disconnect internet and plug in either usb tether on phone or wifi hotspot.. if it works, then something wonky with router / network

someone discovered that if host is okay, then all 3 players disconnect, get replaced by bots, host then suicides and restarts checkpoint. 3 players rejoin, things work again. ish.

I ran into that problem last night as well. Having my friend quit the lobby and then rejoin seems to fix it and we can lower the lift. My friend was having some trouble connecting to steam so that might be the problem for us. Hope this helps.

No idea if this "BUG" is new in R7 but suddenly for no reason the fps drop by 10-20 and don't recover untill the game is restarted, it's pretty annoying.
Hello their! I've been having a problem with me and my friends when we try to play GTFO. Normally we can play the game normally fine with 2 players only, however as soon as it becomes 3 players sometimes the game will face a glitch. players won't appear in the lobby for certain people, their items will be broken, and every time one of these two instances happens, when we drop down in the loading screen for the level, it never fully loads and it loops forever. Do you think you possibly know a solution to this problem, as we were able to get it to work yesterday, but now it refuses to work at all. I got this same bug forever and occasionally it would crash last rundown. I too was running 16MB of RAM.
I swapped my RAM and started running 24 GB of RAM and now I am able to play B1, C1, and D1 without crashing.
I'm dealing with this issues right now and don't know how to fix it

Hey peeps, my friend is experiencing crashes of his Uni-engine every time we load into B1. He's running 16GB ram, a 1060, and a 7700k. His game ran completely fine during Rundown 6 and during R7A1. We've tried lowering the graphics to their minimum, and about to test with screen modes. If that doesn't work, he'll do a full re-install. Anyone else have some information about the issue or a similar experience?
I actually contacted the community manager about the problem of many people never dropping or loading to the expedition. He says it could have been related to RAM or Netcode issues(especially the players with 8GB RAM or some people who have antiviruses like Avast) which prevents us from loading an expedition.
I have the same issue too. Whenever I got lucky and bypassed that bug due to switching to a really good host, my gameplay actually works fine. No lags. It's just really the loading and dropping bug that is the issue atm (likely due to RAM issues as the community manager said).
Then they shouldn't be listing it as a minimum requirements at their Steam store page. 😦
Another player needs to trigger the terminal by walking near it.
Funnily enough, that's also how you get locked into a terminal in the first place.
Not sure how the matchmaking works in the lobby. We went back to lobby after one guy got dced and we get randomized once we matchmake again. We lost our decent team right there 😦

Running 8GB of RAM game works near flawlessly, its not the RAM
The crashing when loading into levels is something else, friend fixed it by uninstalling and reinstalling
i recommend fixing it by increasing pagefile size, so far it helped almost everyone

Our lobby host was desynced and disconnected and is stuck in infinite loading when trying to rejoin. 2nd player in the lobby was made the new host. Original host tried restarting game and is restarting computer now. Any tips?

Had a similar issue but on d1 and b3. A solution was recently updated in #known-issues, asks you to uninstall, remove two specific files and reinstall. works fine for me now
hey guys just saying that we tryed to play C1 and we have gotten to the S1 alarm door were the full team is needed on the circle and our bot dauda was not having any of it. he just stood next to us and not standing in the circle at all. we never got over 2% and we lived for over 8 min.
common im afraid.. as soon as u notice it, lock slot, back to bots only, redeploy sentry if he has one.. after he should scan ok

Yesterday i encountered a bug where a small black circle appeared on my screen and in 5 seconds the screen went fully black, only visible was UI and i could move, attack etc... but i was unable to fix this except closing the game. Anyone encountered this too?

most likely your lobby died, steam trashed it after. not much u can do. invincible and unable == host not responding to events happening on their screens.

This bug never happened before I changed the internet to another.
I was playing GTFO at the dorm few months ago and it worked fine then. But ever since i moved my computer to my house, whenever I tried hosting the lobby, the same computer, the one that worked fine in the dorm doesn't work. I've already tried reinstalling the game and tested it for integrity and nothing worked.
I'm playing with someone rn and they can't interact with anything or pick up items, they're able to open doors but nothing else.
we found a temporary solution by making everyone leave and rejoin one by one but that took a while and caused us to reset to the last checkpoint and lose all boosters
also lost our ability to see the map
we lost a checkpoint along with 3 hours of progress...
we just cant load the checkpoint anymore
so... we were forced to just stop playing
please ping me if there's anyway to retrieve our save, we were 3 hours in C1 and mere minutes away from being done
well you can't resume a match once you are out
and many could argue that was a scuffed run anyways

GTFO will not even load for me. Just a black screen for a long time, then a white screen and it crashes. It's the only game that does this, and I've tried every single step that I have come across. Is there something else I should be trying? Please help!
Are other people having a hard time with D1? There are so many bugs... If it's not connection it's scans that don't start. ||We were trying to do the secondary scan required for Zone 193 security release and it didn't even start||

afaik a lower quality fog diffuses a bit less, while a higher quality one will diffuse lights better (in a nutshell lower quality is more opaque)
I still haven't thoroughly tested that and the performance hit though
I was running 16GB of RAM and kept crashing.
Put in 24GB and it fixed the problem.

If you aren’t host reset your game if you are host hope you get a migrations and reset your game
I can't exit expedition only quit the whole game even doing that doesn't help at all I still had power cell in my hand
At bottom right corner it keep saying syncing match (maybe that the reason I can't exit expedition)
Unfortunate well your run might be dead then just avoid picking up/holding/dropping items before checkpoints and it should go better next time

C2 secondary game ending bug discovered. ||On starting the terminal scan, if someone is accessing the terminal while the scan is going, you will all be teleported back into the teleportation room, unable to complete the secondary objective.||

This is part of the normal secondary. Like this is supposed to happen. Ask in spoiler chat where to go next if you need help.
No. ||There should be an alarm scan after you activate the command terminal at the desert. What happened is it entirely skipped that and teleported you back to the teleporter room(similar in D1R6).||

||We had error alarm on both teleports so were constantly fighting off waves both times there, second time required no teleporter and would auto teleport 10 seconds after doing the gen scan. Meaning we could reach the extraction scan before it pulled us in for the second set of scans and waves.||

damn sorry to hear that, i thought maybe the fix would work if your game was crashing regardless of whether it happened mid-game or during the drop. may be worth verifying game files or talking to the CM to see if there's any other solutions or a patch coming up.
How did it get worse btw? I ask as the first time I launched D1 after the patch it crashed the game and then after that it was fine.
i don't doubt it helps but it's pretty ridiculous for a game to demand such a large amount of ram (assuming you have no other programs running) 12gb should be ok and 16gb should be perfectly fine

and it's not that there isn't a solution, it's just that one might not apply to another one's case with seemingly the same error

thats mostly something that happens if a player bugged out (mostly fixed with that player quitting) though thats hard to fix if host is bugged
Verifying was the first and last thing I tried, and before the reinstall ‘fix’ I was able to get into a game and move around, giving 3-15 mins of game play before the screen would freeze for 30-80 seconds and unity would shit itself, during the freeze I could still hear fine and move around, shoot, hit, ect. And how it got worse after the reinstall was it went from the above mentioned 3-15 mins to as soon as the drop was finished and I would enter the level it would freeze, and this only lasted a few seconds before unity would crap out

On B3, I ran into a glitch after the checkpoint as well. After I was downed as the host, it kicked me from the lobby, but still said I was the lobby host, and I could not rejoin. the lobby code remained the same, and would not let me rejoin the one guy who did not get dropped.
Also, on C1, no one was holding a power cell in their hands before triggering the checkpoint, so that didn't work as a workaround
It would seem, though I'm no programmer, the checkpoint system is busted somehow, as I'm seeing that is the only constant with various glitches I'm encountering.

You can try to give the "cursed cell" to a bot after someone leaves then kick the bot and get your friend Back in
wasn't even a specific cell - we dropped 3 cells before the door, then I put the cell into the generator, and then when we died + got sent back to the checkpoint one of us was holding a cell and couldn't drop it. we could "transfer" the cell bug by 1 person picking up a cell and the original person dropping it
we also did try having the person rejoin after setting their slot to a bot, didn't work
just a bug that bricked a run, really annoying
Brother having a crash saying "virtual alloc remapping failed" ? Crashed loading into B1, and then his computer fully crashed loading into B2.

Hey all. Anyone run into an issue where you can't join a friends match that's in progress? It says waiting for master and then goes to "joining session" and I can see the lobby in the top bar but then after about 15 seconds it just stops and I'm back at the rundown screen with no error or anything to go off of.
Was able to join the same friend last night but now today it's not working. We haven't tried restarting the run from scratch but I wanted to know if this was a known issue and if there were any solutions before we tried starting fresh.
Real pissed off that this checkpoint bug where you can't drop items is still a thing. I had all 3 cells on the ground, but when we wiped and reloaded, I had a 'fourth' in my hands.

Hey, I have a question regarding loading into the game in such, I guess.
I'm trying to play with a friend of mine and a few things have been going wrong.
If I'm hosting the game, even when everyone is readied up, including myself, I am unable to start the level or anything like that, and my friend sees that I am stuck in "Not Ready". We've tried everything for like 20 minutes, but there doesn't seem to be a fix to this. I'm shown as ready on my own screen, but not his.
If my friend is hosting, he's able to actually start the mission and it showed me as ready, but we were stuck in the loading screen for like 30 minutes, and once I left, he immediately loaded in.
It's clearly an issue on my side, but I don't really understand what the problem is or how to fix it. Any explanation would be much appreciated.

Known bug. Not in #known-issues but been a bug since last rundown. No ETA on a fix as the devs have no clue what to do.
Normally you can drop all objects, and make a bot pick one up. Then get it to leave, and rejoin. But B1 removes the real object after handing it in.
You have to leave yourself, and rejoin, and it MIGHT fix you. Else the best thing you can do is just not use checkpoints or not play the game till it's fixed.
Quick question: Was the bug where the power cell would be stuck in your hands (and would duplicate if placed in a generator) when you restart at a checkpoint in C1 fixed?

i've seen this a lot of times, usually it's a router issue, upnp failing or a qos software or a vpn messing up your p2p.. i advise: unplug internet, plug your cellphone either usb tether or wifi hotspot, try gaming. works? router sus.
The thing I'm confused by is that this has worked with other people.

(and i do understand 99 games work no problem, gtfo being the only problematic, but gtfo / steam / p2p really can be a handful at times)

just last week we had one case where router sussiness was confirmed as 4g played well etc
gtfo networking does p2p but there's steam proxies etc in between, if that p2p somehow gets messed up, you can join games but then the flux of packets stop == not ready, can't see loadout, can't change anything, can't drop

I use Linux, and have played A1 with some friends, but I had 30fps-tops during the whole game... I'm above the recommended computer specs, so I'm guessing it might be some kind of performance hit from using proton...
Does anyone have some tips in this regard so I can get better performance?

this has been a bug since checkpoints were introduced in Rundown 5. make sure you're not holding items next time you use a checkpoint

Our game options take whatever Windows is reporting. So if Windows doesn't report that you can set your resolution to that, then the game won't let you choose it either
if anything you could try to force it through CRU
but be careful cause you can potentially lock you out of your display

After playing this level for 2 days so far we had random bugs every single game, some examples: the game freezes when the snatchers get you, the stairs have a wall bug that will make you not able to pass, also you can shoot the foam through the doors and the sentry starts shooting when the door is closed and you can get hit when the doors are closed, random crashes, if the game crashes it won't let you rejoin it shows a black screen, the scouts freeze

Running into the same issue as @pliant harness and @night whale where a friend's game crashes mid-cage-drop, both on the initial entry into a level and if he joins later into the game.
Already attempted the appdata fix in the #known-issues, but no luck. It occurs in multiplayer whether he's the host or someone else is. He started playing with no problems during the free weekend, but since he booted the game back up yesterday it's been a no-go. Anyone figure out any solutions?

We fixed it by reinstalling AND deleting the game cache from AppData
gtx 970 here. 75 fps at 1080p. (minimum settings)
only launch options ive seen to make a difference really only just fixed the launch cutscene when opening the game.
the main hangup on all versions is fog quality settings that throw frames out the window.
as always, make sure your gpu is actually being utilized
and that you're not on nouveau
and your gpu power settings are set correctly in your nvidia settings panel.
and yes, my performance is comparable to my windows partition. roughly the same.
I've hosted on B1-3 and C1 with the same results - I'm a new player, though, which means I haven't gotten far enough to try the later levels. We tried the uninstall, delete app data, and reinstall, but got nothing. New graphics drivers didn't help either... Hoping that maybe once a new update drops it'll work itself out
Not sure of his PC specs, but noticed when we were dealing w the app data that he's running windows 11, so maybe that's related
i had a question about B3, about the infection fog that was supposed to be in the whole area, but me (with infection resist +51%) and my friend (with infection resist +97%) see the place as crystal clear, but my other teammate (0% infection resist) see the fog and can get infection just by breathing in the fog (which me and my infection resist friend can't get infected) i don't know if this is a bug, or it was the "gift of the infection resist"
This is not intended behavior of any booster or any amount of infection resistance and would indeed just be a bug.
ohh.. and here i thought, the radiation god gave us fog clearing sight because we inhaled to much of it's holy fog 😦

i know that if i host i have no delay and the delay increases depeding on who of my friendsgroup hosts

Does anyone have tips for running gtfo on a bad pc? I’m able to run games like Valorant, Overwatch, and Minecraft at 60 fps. I turned all the settings down to low or very low and made the resolution as small as possible which helped a bit, but i’m still getting around 30 fps and have noticeable input delay. Any help would be very much appreciated 😊
buy a better computer. if everything's on low already and the resolution is low, then your computer simply doesn't have powerful enough hardware to run it at 60 frames or higher

valorant, overwatch and minecraft are "lightweight" games so it doesnt really take a lot of juice to run the games
add that to the fact that this new patch its unoptimize as hell it might not help your case a lot

I love this game so far when it works, but why is it that when I try to invite my friends, it can't even function? We get stuck in the loadout screen. Either it doesn't let them join, I can't see them ready up, or when we initiate the drop, we get caught in an infinite drop that only ends when someone leaves? I stopped playing a while ago because of this, and the problem still exists.

#known-issues has a lot of vpn / qos-software stuff, i always recommend ppl try disconnecting their router and plugging in a phone tether / wifi hotspot to see if the game works with another connection. if so, then the router might have an issue, upnp maybe. or a vpn is running and messing up the peer2(steam)2peer networking. pls try.

if it was using my integrated GPU then it'd never clear 10FPS, at least that's what happens when I play minecraft on that darn thing (finally figured out GPU utilization properly a while ago though)

Try closing the game and rejoining 5 times dying before leaving, and make people load a checkpoint before you load in each time. Else maybe delete the GTFO app data folder, and reinstall the game. Maybe it’ll help if not you can post your logs, and make a bug report. Tho since the bug isn’t something that was fixed before release or happening enough to a dev that knows how to fix it, it may not be addressed for a few rundowns. Also don’t use a VPN or QOS software. Actually unplug your router. Reset it, and try again. If all else fails get a new better PC or try seeing if any other games has issues. Keep playing tho. - This message is sponsernd by usual fix gang.
So I was doing B1 with a friend and 2 bots and somehow Bishop managed to get into the wall with the objective...
if there is 0 way to get back to the players, the bot will go through wall to get to the player
if the bot is stuck, kick it and respawn it
Yeah, bishop got back out eventually, but he left the objective in the wall, and ordering them to get it just causes them to run around aimlessly

Hey guys. If I want to host a lobby, I get kicked out and all of my connections to Steam, Discord, etc. get lost. I am also unable to join a lobby of a friend. If I try to leave the game the normal way, it crashes. Every other online or multiplayer game works fine. I am pretty confused. Are you guys running in to similar problems?

hey, im trying to play with 2 of my friends, we managed to complete a1 together, but now we're trying to host another lobby to continue, but it seems like one of my friends isnt synced with us two, and whenever he joins a lobby we cant see him and theres like a 10 second delay before it registers hes readied, and even then the cage drop doesnt start once pressed. when we join his lobbies we get the same thing that he gets when he joins us, but me and the other friend can lobby and play fine. is this a fixable problem?
as a note the guy has the best internet speeds out of the 3 of us so that isnt the problem

Sooo, our group had a fun time in C1... we streamed it on Twitch (Less than 5 people watched) we had a whole slew of bugs come through. https://www.twitch.tv/kallamoar It's labelled as "Arma 3" but that's because streamer didn't have time to host it right.
I enjoy playing games and have fun doing so with friends and other people, so why have all the fun when i can share it with other people.
It all started with a host having bad internet, and as the host switched around, things went a little crazy, we had to re-clear 3 rooms, not the worst thing, but as other network problems persisted, it culminated in two people having the "Battery Cell still picked up" glitch at the checkpoint after a wipe... and then we got teleported back to that wipe as it was still going down. We managed to get all 9 GLP's, but one of our guys ran into another bug, where the security door was down for all of us... but he couldn't pass through it. Another guy had a prompt to open the already opened security door, which restarted the error alarm, even though we had all hormones. We fight through a wave and rush to the full room scan holdout where we spoilers run into the first snatcher. From there, things get interesting... every time we wiped, we respawned right outside the full room scan. the 30 minute stream is us around that point trying to survive wipe after wipe coining this as "C1 Overload" Objective.
most of the bug you list are all desync related
cell get stuck and can't drop are affected by desync, security door not open for 1 of your teammate are also desync issue
is there any fix to were when you trying to drop in to a game already in progress you hear a single sound repeatedly and get stuck/frozen mid drop
they have volunteers to try and bug hunt but its not enough
there are constant problems with host/client activities in the game that its really hard to justify doing the harder content. i dont think i will be playing much more
Be more acceptable if the game was still in early access, and you weren't missing rundowns with story, and unlocks.

Common checkpoint bug that is assumed to be more common on desynced clients. There are some fixes which require the clients who have the cells to disconnect, replace the free slot(s) with a bot and then join them back through the lobby code. It's not recommended to do it as host though since host migration tends to do some wacky stuff with lobby codes.
one of our guys ran into another bug, where the security door was down for all of us... but he couldn't pass through it
That to me sounds like a really bad desync issue. Can't think much of a solution other than having the guy rejoining the match. Waiting until he resyncs can work I guess, but it's uncertain how much you would need to wait.
I would argue the bug hunters are actually enough. It's probably that devs at 10 chambers are having a really hard time figuring out a reliable fix for those bugs, which they have actually stated before (specifically with the cell stuck bug).

After discussion, we essentially came to the same conclusion, although none of us have ever encountered stuff like this before, we did know that some people in our groups had some shoddy internet, and one of them had started hosting this match. Good to know that we're not the only ones that have run into this problem though.
Recommended settings for a constant 60 fps, I’m on a high end gaming laptop (yea ik roast me, I can still play doom eternal bitches) that has a 1050ti (factory model), 16gb ram (bought from outside company and installed myself), and I don’t really know cores but from what my computer nerd friend said they’re really fuckin nice, but still I get frame drops like fuck, it’s probably the graphics card but I can’t afford a new one until like a year from now, so what settings will help me temporarily? As long as it doesn’t look like roblox I’m ok XD
since the current rundown is not ver well optimized atm even high end hardware doesnt help with good performance so it might not be the settings helping at all
overall tho i would say turn it all the way down check performance and then work your way p from there if you see it changed something
Small update after a while in take the frame drops go away but sometimes come back when loading new map area or finding main objectives
depending on your resolution you can turn down texture size for some improvement helped me alot

A 1050ti sounds kinda weak ngl, but I do have some small tips that in general work for any laptop gamers.
Make sure you are not having any power throttling or thermal throttling issues on both the cpu and gpu (cpu tends to have them more). If you find any then you should try undervolting and limiting clocks.
Also, although it sounds stupid, connect to a power outlet since laptops throttle a lot when they run on the battery.

I keep the laptop plugged in all the time while gaming, and yea the graphics card does suck ngl it’s why I want a 1660 instead, I don’t think throttling is an issue and same goes for any overclocking, I’m more or less wondering if there’s any way to get rid of the occasional frame drops

The Internet ist stable and fast for all of us, we ve even Set the Ports correctly. Slowly i think its just Bad net Code from the Game Side. I bought this Game to Play with those Folks and having the Feeling a coinflip desided If we can Play together sucks.
The elevator drop animation is the loading screen, if it's longer than usual, that mean 1 of the player either loaded the game really slow or didn't skip the first animation

Probably doesn't happen much as the devs only test with all players in the same location.
Maybe they should do some broader tests that increases the chance for desyncs. Maybe use some of those bug testers from around the world or game streaming. You can use Geforce Now for free.

Oh hi! It is quite weird. The desync i noticed much earlier on. Felt very laggy. I do not know how to fix that or how to measure the desync. The bug itself happened after we wiped and we respawned and since i was holding one of the cells during checkpoint i kept spawning with it in my hand, I believe that may be the cause_
so, from what i gather, the bug only happen when you have huge desync, you can check that with open box/locker/door or chat or kill enemy
I know there was like a 1-2 second delay
we both live in the same country, Relatively close to each other
if it's more than 0.5 second then the bug could happen, and to avoid getting the bug is to not grabbing a cell

Just wait like 2 minutes after everyone dropped their cell to do CP
there is really no way to fix desync since that's basically you or your teammate internet
or the distance
i have a guy who said he has 200MB connection
but when he host, everyone basically freeze
my internet was fine all along, Hence why i was confused
so we changed host to another guy with "decent" internet and it's smooth as butter

Maybe someone can help me with this:
Every time i restart the game it lags and the "deploy" prompt is missing. I works after i us the "repair game" option in steam but the next time i restart it its the same problem again. Another problem that maybe related is that the game softlocks every time after i skip the initial cutscene.
Does somebody have an idea what causes this? Or have a permanent solution to it?
One of my friends has infinite ammo, and every pack he picks up has infinite uses but are back to normal when he sets it down. Stuff like fog repellers and glow sticks are also infinite use when he holds them. The only thing that's still limited is his health. He's played with other people via matchmaking and the same thing occurs. Has this happened to anyone else?

ahhhhhh so I have to finish PE as well
not 100% sure but it could be the case. Me and my team beat all the difficulties before doing E1 so I'm guessing that's the issue

I think you only need to complete the high of each level
That would be caused by the use of cheats
you only need to complete the main layer of all 9 levels. Don't need PE

I think he's cheating too, but he swears it's just a glitch. I'm just trying to find out if this is actually a glitch or if he's just cheating

I hope this is the right channel, I have an issue: I bought GTFO yesterday on Steam. I have a Windows 10 PC, using a Nvidia 1080 Ti and i7 processor, my PC is more then capable of running any game decently. Once I downloaded the game it ran without issue, I played a CO-OP with a friend, played the tutorial and the first mission. Then we stopped for a few hours. When he got back, I wanted to start up the game and it didn't work. My game get's stuck on the loading screen. I start the game in my steam libary, it starts, I get the warning about flashing lights, then I get a black screen for a couple of seconds, then a red screen where I can hear music for about 1 second, then the red screen just freezes and nothing happens (I left it alone for 10min).
What I tried: I verified the game files on steam, I reinstalled the game, I restarted my PC, I turned off my virus scanner, I updated my Graphics driver, I disabled the steam overlay for GTFO (was recommended online).
I also used the advice on the game discord and deleted the folder 10 Chambers Collective in %userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow
I did not find such a folder in %userprofile%\Appdata\Local\Temp
Once I did this, and installed the game again, I managed to start the game fine.
But then, once I quit the game, and tried the restart, I was stuck back with the same issue where the game freezes on starting up.
I tired this solution twice, both times with the same outcome (I can run the game fine right after re installing but then if I quit and restart I am back to the original problem)
None of that fixed it.
I am out of ideas. Does anyone have any idea what the issue could be?
what settings did u change on first successful launch, if any? and same with the "after fix success launch" ?
I did not change any video settings
(i'm suspecting a setting comes into effect after restart and on first restart, that setting then breaks game)
do the fix, quit, launch the game and see if u get a new logfile in the appdata directory, alt-f4 from the stuck game (if able), post the logfile of the session, could be a clue there

there is a player.log and a player-rev.log txt file, is that what you mean?
if their timestamps are "current" after the botched launch, then the newest player.log is good

curious: 1080 + i7, how much ram on pc, how much vram on gfx?
we've had many many cases where eval + a1 work but b1 drop fails.. but not so many of these "1st launch only works, 2nd not even menu" stuff

the game does some gfx shader shenanigans on first launch, could be something to do with a relaunch trying to load them up but failing somehow, game installed on ssd?
some problems have been solved by moving from spinning slow hdd to an ssd (small game luckily)
ssd is good but doesn't hurt to try i guess..
at this point I'll try anything 😄
16gb + 12gb is very good btw, ppl have less and all works. one thing could be to watch windows events when the 2nd launch fails, is there a big red error as it starts to go south.. etc

iirc it took a while to generate, yes..
just food for thought ... .... initial launch: nothing for antivirus or defender or whatnot to stop loading from, files are generated. second launch, access to said files restricted, unity engine <joker> loses its mind </joker> ..

GTFO Support sent me a solution, I have to manually delete the GeneratedIcons folder before launching the game

Had a problem earlier that I skipped the intro screen too fast, I suppose, and it perpetually locked the game into no network found no matter how many restarts. Required a repair of local files to fix.
that worked for me as I've been having the same issue as well. I'm mildly curious why those pngs would cause the game to crash...but oh well at least the game runs now.

Hopefully lol. I did start deleting only one of the pngs then trying to run the game just to see if it was a specific image and it would launch like 50% of the time so it's a weird issue imo
Hey, I'm using a Logitech G602 Wireless mouse and the supporting software to map out the extra buttons. I used to have them mapped so I could just use my thumb for important tasks, like toggling my flashlight or switching weapons or opening the map quickly. Haven't changed the game profile in the Logitech software, and I stopped playing around Rundown 4. I started up again, and select the profile so the same buttons will do the same keystrokes like Tab to open the map, and the software shows the same controls as the in game settings menu, but they don't work in game and when I try to use the mouse buttons to map out the in game settings the key the game says I pressed isn't what the software says it should be pressing. Any ideas or similar issues?
Didn't really understand, but I do want to mention that the only extra "real" mouse buttons that can be bind in-game are MOUSE4 and MOUSE5

Yeah, so with the Logitech software I can set an extra button on my mouse to do a certain keystroke, and I had them set to do things like Tab, R, F, 1, 2, 3, etc. so that I can keep my left hand on my movement keys and perform all other actions with my right. Previously, it worked great. But now, the software shows that the button I'm pressing is sending an input of Tab but the game shows that as V when I use that button to change the in game Toggle Map key
Might just be desync between the programs, just wanted to know if there was a known fix but I can make it work
Im trying to load into an in-progress mission with my friends and I just get stuck in a black screen after the elevator finishes loading. I see the cortex interface HUD and I'm stuck at 3 FPS with only ambient sound. Any suggestions?

It's just a large level with a lot of things going on.

Nope, D1 is the most buggy level, 2 friends of mine have issues when we starting this level, huge FPS drop and then GTFO crashes including some application like Discord and Steam
And btw is there any solution for this issue? Excluding my own way fixing it by deleting GeneratedIcons folder
