Discord has launched a new way of interaction on the platform - Forums - and if you are a boomer like me (at least that is what the kids call me) you will probably love this. It's fancy threads, but with more control and ability to be smart about how you use them. We think that a bunch of current realtime channels could benefit a lot from either be fully replaced by forum channels or a hybrid solution. For example: guides will be easier to sort and find, lore can be more easily categorised. We are starting up a discussion about this, using a forum channel, so that you can pitch in your 2 cents and also see how it functions. Please note: for this first feedback forum, members cannot create posts (only comment on them) but of course that would be activated for future implementation. **We've seen some questions regarding the cosmetic drops, as we now have several Rundowns available. Read about the changes directly from our game designer: **

There was a significant disparity in the loot experience between different Rundowns that would feel very unsatisfying for both old and new players. For example Rundown 1 has no story levels, no overload or secondary layers which under the old rules would have meant you only get 2 rewards (3 and 6 main layers completed).

With this in mind we updated and simplified loot rules to work consistently across all Rundowns. You get an item when you complete a level the first time, and an additional item when you complete all levels in a Rundown for the first time. Secondaries and Overloads don't have specific rewards anymore, but their rewards have been merged into the "main" loot pool, and the rules are a more generous experience overall.

If you have been playing GTFO for some time you probably know that The Warden usually publish statistics from each Rundown. Some of you have asked where the latest batch is and due to some misbehaving data we don't have reliable statistics from Rundown 6.0. We have corrected this for Rundown 7.0 but as the data isn't longer comparable to previous statistics we can't release in-depth numbers.

We can though share the total success percentages for Rundown 7, from the middle of summer until now.

New way of bug reporting
We are retiring the old way of reporting bugs (through a public Jira portal) and moving it into the channel #1049599987878723635 as they go hand in hand. Since we replaced the old channel with the current forum one we’ve seen an influx och bug related issues there so it’s better to keep everything in one place. It also centralised potential workarounds and fixes.

For this, we have added a tag called “bug-report” to easier segment different issues. We have also updated #bug-reporting to reflect this change. Please reach out to me if you have any questions.

Outnumbering your team with a seemingly endless supply of foul crawlers, relentlessly nibbling at your flesh until you put them to sleep. Prisoners, as we alluded to at last year's Gamescom, Rundown 8.0 will conclude the current storyline of Dauda, Hackett, Bishop and Woods that started way back in December 2019. It’s the climatic finale we’ve been building towards with the ALT://Rundowns. This doesn’t mean GTFO is abandoned. It will always be the founders' passion project and the community will continue to be a focus. But we can’t promise any new content past Rundown 8.0.

When development started in 2015 the goal was to create an experience that the 10 founders themselves wanted to play. A challenging game that respects the player and puts real emphasis on cooperation. And the success was way beyond anything the team ever dared dreaming of.

Fast forward almost a decade, four years after the initial release of GTFO, the studio is ten times the size and we’ve released seven Rundowns (and added them back in again). With Rundown 8.0 there will be over 80 expeditions for you and your friends to endure.

After the release of Rundown 8.0 we'll be fully devoting ourselves to our next project – a techno-thriller heist game. We’re really looking forward to show you all what’s cooking, but that’s still in the future. @everyone

It’s been two years since we revealed Den of Wolves to the public, and one year since the first gameplay trailer, and a lot of you are saying “where’s the game?”. And trust us, it would be awesome to communicate a release date but we are not there yet.

I’ve been begging management to give us a release window for Den of Wolves in the trailer – but no. They won’t budge. These developers really don’t want to make promises they can’t keep for the sake of marketing. It makes my job harder, but as a gamer myself, I respect it. I told them we at least need to prove that the game exists, and that was the starting point for this trailer, says Robin Björkell, our Communications Director

Dear community
The recent days we have experienced a wave of mockery and harassment of 10 Chambers employees and moderation crew. This needs to stop.

No level of frustration over GTFO (or any other game) gives someone the right to be an asshole to another person. Online or offline. Criticise the game all you want (preferably in a civil manner) but don’t cross the line to personal attacks.

This includes verbal, text and/or changing your server profile name.

If you have a problem with this, maybe it’s time for you to evaluate what you get out of being a part of this community. In the end of the day, gaming should be fun, right?

The consequences for not adhering to this will be warnings, mutes and if we need to go that far; banning from the server. @here
