Hi, my girlfriend recently got her laptop and it meets all the requirements, she specifically bought the laptop so we could play evrima together, but we can't stop running into the DirectX 12 being unsupported issue. We've tried updating her card---it consistently says it does not need updates---we've tried manually installing DirectX12 through the Windows webpage, which canceled itself because it also found nothing wrong, but the NVIDIA app wont install itself because it is also incompatiable so we cant check for updates through that app, nor will NVIDIAS new gamer Driver install, and we tried Radeons' Adrenaline, which also wouldn't install because it wasnt compatiable, and we tried a clean install with a new driver, but that still wont let her play, can anyone please help us figure out what to try?

This issue is typically caused when someone switches from the Legacy to the EVRIMA branch.
Open “Steam”
Right Click The Isle
Select Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files
Delete everything inside of The Isle’s folder.
Then

• Press Windows key.

• Type "Run" to launch Run program.

• Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.

• Search for TheIsle folder.

• Delete the TheIsle folder once it has been located.

It has also been known to be caused by strict permissions with a Windows User Account and/or strict Anti-Virus settings

Please reduce what Windows and/or Anti-virus will block as far as programs go. You may need to create a new Windows User account to bypass the issue.

i've been using porting kit to play windows games on my laptop for a while now, i've used it to play several of my windows only games while on my macOS like Ark survival evolved and In Stars and Time, but when i went to play The Isle, it would not let me play Evrima. When i go to play it, it loads and then gives me a launch error, saying it failed to load the anti-cheat module. (not "Launch Error - Easy Anti-Cheat is not installed.", instead being "Launch Error - Failed to load the anti-cheat module.")

I've tried everything i can think of, verifying game files, deleting and reinstalling, attempting to download EasyAntiCheat manually (shown in screenshots above, just double clicking those files), downloading VRchat (which also has EasyAntiCheat), trying a whole bunch of commands in the local terminal with the help of (unfortunately) AI, everything i can think of.

The legacy version of the game works fine, allowing me to play any server without issue, it's just the Evrima version i'm having issues with. Even trying the trick of downloading VRchat had the same issue. it seems games that use EasyAntiCheat are the ones that i'm having problems with.

if you have any possible solutions please shoot them my way! i'm on a apple M2 16GB Tahoe version 26.3.1 MacOS if that helps ^^

Hello! I installed "The Isle" and then switched to "evrima" in the settings.

I launched the game and didn't like the "Fullscreen Windowed Mode" (it was windowed to the top left of the screen).
Changed to "Full screen" and now I cant click the correct items in the menu. The viewport is off.

I tried using the keyboard keys to navigate the menu but there seems to be no support for it.

I could try and change my OS resolution to match the game resolution if someone knows what the default resolution is? Ty!

OK! Solution:

When the user enters the display settings for the first time. Use the OS resolution to populate the resolution field.

It was left empty when I switched to "Full Screen". After a lot of fiddling I managed to reset my settings - changed the resolution to my OS resolution first - then Full Screen. Voila!

Sorry but devs only ban hackers on public servers. Since it has no rules and is not moderated they don't do nothing except ban hackers. The only way is that you are on a custom server where a dino can be saved on the discord every log out.

I’m going to be direct because this issue has been ongoing for weeks with no response from Punch.

I purchased the game again on a second account, only for that account to end up with the exact same issue as my main account. I’ve also spent time troubleshooting on my end, including uninstalling iCUE after researching possible causes, and nothing has fixed it.

Every time I try to join a server, I get stuck on “Loading Assets” indefinitely. Because of the complete lack of communication, the only conclusion I can make is that there may be some kind of random restriction or ban on my accounts, but no one has confirmed anything.

I understand Punch is busy, but weeks without any response after purchasing the game twice is not acceptable. I have friends waiting to play, and this was quickly becoming my main game, yet I now have under 30 hours across both accounts because I can’t access servers.

I need an admin or someone from the team to tell me exactly what is going on and what I need to do to fix it. At this point, I’m not asking for guesses—I’m asking for an actual answer. With all due respect of course

make sure your drivers are up to date and that your antivirus is not conflicting with the game

If something on your PC is triggering EAC, no amount of new accounts or game purchases will stop this from EAC

The other thing it could be is your anti virus is blocking the game, put in an exception for the whole game folder ‘the isle’

I will also tell you that in regards to that, EAC isnt the issue as I've used EAC on multiple other games since and its worked completely fine.

I've also completely disabled antivirus in order to test and nothing still

A pattern I've noticed is that it seems to work for more AMD graphics card users on Linux than NVidia users. If you look at protondb, everyone with a Nvidia card can't play (including me)
