Has anyone else had an issue where the ping and fps gets so bad it’s borderline unplayable? I play on a laptop and am used to max 30 fps ever since Evrima came out but it’s never gotten this bad. 1 fps and rubberbanding to the point I’m out of control. steam - the isle - right click - general - launch options ... make sure there is nothing in the launch options ie. don't have -dx11 or -dx12 etc

check windows is up to date including optional updates (windows 11 often has driver updates under the optional updates) including windows .netframework updates and ensure you are running the latest graphics driver ...

• check windows version by running winver.exe from the windows start/search ... windows 10 should be 22H2 and windows 11 should preferably be 23H2 or 24H2

hello ! i installed the isle after 3 years of not touching it cause my older pc would cause fatal errors- this one seems to run evrima just fine, one issue is the resolution the game automatically put is one my screen doesnt have so im struggling to try and change it back to mine which is this one in the image because my screen keeps flickering back n fourth with the lost input signal so it quite makes it impossible to change it unless i just get lucky with my eyes closed

Whenever I click a server and go into it the maia doesn't show up as a playable option but if I go to the skin creator it is an option and I can make skins with it, however, I can't play it. I don't know if you got to get the maia a special way and I'm just ignorant, but I would like to know what's happening. I have the same issue sometimes, it seems to be caused by other opened programs running in the background. For me Discord, MS Word and Firefox have all triggered this in the past. Closing the programs and then setting back the resolution to what it's supposed to be fixes the issue for me normally, but it's really annoying when it happens.

Took me a bit to realize that the GTX thing is the GPU.

Okay, the 1050 is pretty limited when it comes to VRam, so it'll probably struggle to load some of the high resolution textures, and features like Lumen & Nanite.

So I'd reccomend updating your drivers, because I think that first screenshot is just a driver error, then turn your settings down, specifically textures, materials, shadow smoothing, and turning Lumen off.

Keep in mind that Nanite cannot be disabled, so if you are still crashing and getting memory issues after turning down your settings, Nanite may be too intensive on its own.

Tldr, update drivers and lower settings.

right click windows taskbar - task manager - click performance tab - scroll down on the left side to GPU - how many GPU's listed?

click on GPU 0 and you can see the driver version/date/directx version/maximum directx level supported ... same for GPU 1 if you have more than one graphics adapter / gpu - eg. a discrete/dedicated graphics card and an integrated graphics chip built into the cpu
