For anyone encountering fatal errors leading to crashes You will have to manually uninstall “The Isle” from Steam. This issue is typically caused when someone switches from the Legacy to the EVRIMA branch.
Open “Steam”
Right Click The Isle
Select Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files
Delete everything inside of The Isle’s folder.
Then

• Press Windows key.

• Type "Run" to launch Run program.

• Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.

• Search for TheIsle folder.

• Delete the TheIsle folder once it has been located.

It has also been known to be caused by strict permissions with a Windows User Account and/or strict Anti-Virus settings

Please reduce what Windows and/or Anti-virus will block as far as programs go. You may need to create a new Windows User account to bypass the issue.

-If the above fails, make sure your GPU/GFX Drivers are updated. If you already updated them, uninstall them and reinstall them if the issue persists. (edited)

Remove -dx11 from the launch option. It will then give you a ”DX12 is not supported by your system”. To fix that issue, please provide:

It's ”graphic processor”, just a language difference. But yeah Intel integrated graphics will not work with The Isle, I'm sorry. You can try to update the drivers via the Intel website but I doubt it will work.

The fatal errors are due to overload on the GPU making it crash. That's because of a problem with UE5 and DX12. Underclocking has worked for the players who have tried it.

Oh and, the game doesn't crash for everyone. Because that particular issue with UE5 affects graphics cards very differently. So a guy with X graphics card will get the crashes, while another with another card will not get the crashes at all.

Putting the textures on epic seems to fix the buggy sound.
Are your FPS capped? Having them capped in combination with the underclock can perhaps help you not crash when you move. Otherwise as I said above this issue affects graphics cards very differently so it's possible that nothing really works for you. :/

Try to cap your FPS to 60. If that doesn't work, you can underclock your GPU if you're willing to try this. Essentially, the crashes are due to an overload on your GPU making it crash. It's a problem with UE5/DX12 rendering. The devs are looking into the issue. In the meantime, anything that makes your GPU work less or work more efficiently can help reduce the frequency of the crashes or – if you're lucky – solve them altogether.

With this pop up, I found a solution on Reddit in the unofficial isle subreddit from u/TheLastCatQuasar. ”Fatal error: [File:Unknown] [Line: 868] … cpp:910 with error 887A0006” error message, it seems this is due to a problem with DirectX rendering. To fix it, disabling “Global Illumination” and “Hardware Ray Tracing” worked for me.

Beipi doesn't have a perfect night vision underwater, he's different from Deino, but indeed the Nightvision is bugged for a lot of people

Curious. Try to manually change the settings in %localappdata% > TheIsle > Saved > Config > WindowsClient > open the GameUserSettings file with the note pad and change the settings. Unsure what the number is for "low", you can google that you will surely find it. Don't forget to save the changes.
Once it's done, right-click on that GameUserSettings file > Properties > check "read only" to prevent the game from changing the settings. It's surely not necessary though.
Do all of that while the game is closed.

Well, why do you want to delete it? It's useful for some problems like with your controls (night vision not working for example) or some graphics problems (like dinosaur eyes being non-existent). Deleting it doesn't hurt but if you don't have any issues, the only thing it'll do is resetting your custom settings and controls.

Deleting the Saved folder would be potentially more helpful than the Config folder, so you can try that.
If playing the game, close it.
In your Windows search bar, type %localappdata% and hit enter.
Locate the Isle folder, open it.
Delete the Saved folder.
Relaunch the game.
(Note: this will also reset your custom settings and your skin presets.)

I have tried literally everything. It only plays when isle is open and the second I close it, it stops. I uninstalled evrima. Reinstalled. Uninstalled and switched to legacy. And it’s still doin it. There’s nothing else open in the background unless it’s very well hidden.

You are surely on Legacy. There are no official servers there, and the unofficial ones can take a while to show up. I suggest you switch to the branch which is in active development: Evrima.
Go on Steam, right-click on The Isle. Select ”Properties”. In ”Betas”, choose Evrima in the drop menu. Once the install is completed, enjoy.

There's no letters on the compass in evrima. Holding Q longer extends the range of your scent, it's possible that nothing was nearby

It wouldn't change anything anyway. The crashes are due to Unreal Engine 5/DirectX 12, and they happen on a variety of systems. Any system is susceptible of having those crashes. There are things to help though, until the devs find something on their side:

• turn off ray-tracing and lumen;
• cap your FPS to 60;
• underclock your GPU.

-Verifying game files
-Ensured GPU is up to date
-Ensured Windows is up to date
-Did a system scan in command prompt (sfc /scannow)
-Deleted the EAC sys file
-Ran installanticheat.bat file
-Ensured hard drive was properly connected
-PC restart
-Manual uninstall of the game
-Installing and running on a main hard drive
-Enabled through firewall
-Enabled through anti-virus
-Deleted config file (verified files and clean install)
-Did a check disk in command prompt on D:/ and C:/ drive
-Cleared temporary files
