More ptera screams for help
-
I think the fact that stamina drains when flying against an updraft is a little bit insane considering how long people have been complaining about this playable's stamina for.
Why punish a flyer for trying to fly, especially if it's the quickest route? 🥹 Leave the slowness, but the stamina drain is just silly. -
Almost every updraft except the one at volcano lake is temporary and works only during the day.
If the solution to the stamina issue was creating updrafts, why does it only apply to 50% of your gametime? Reverse the direction of the air corridors. -
There should be more vertical updrafts, they should take you higher and they should be located lower and at more popular spots.
The one at dam lake takes you barely 10m up, and as an adult you waste >50% of your stamina climbing up to that height to begin with. With the old stamina system and spacebar tapping you used to be able to get up there having wasted barely 8% of your stam, now investing a movement resource which is already limited to go a couple of metres in the air is not worth it.
Updrafts should be at watersources too - as of the current evrima version (not HT), they are scattered around the map faraway in out of reach places. There is so many at northwestern ridge - nobody goes there. Place some around open fields and sheer cliffs - that's realistic, that's where updrafts can be found in real life too.
If none of these options are on the table, please I am begging you do something about the cost of climbing.
This is the only playable whose only mechanic is on a resource with such bizarrely restrictive resource economy that it effectively gets punised for moving. If the problem is ptera going too fast and not participating in the ground ecosystem enough, nerf the speed and give pteras more reason to land (like making it a SCAVENGER, like a cera).
Also, the stamina cost of the new takeoff is very high :(

( not related to the thing im replying to i just wanted an excuse to say this)
