I know some of you have already noticed, but hey, let's make it official - the Showcase Update Hotfix has been released on PlayStation, Xbox, and Windows Store this morning! 
Our Dev Team is also aware of some additional issues that have emerged after the Hotfix and affect a small group of our players. There will be more details on that very soon, but right now we want to address a hot topic: reserve DLC's, and more specifically what our plans are for the remainder of this year.
The team is hard at work developing your next hunting grounds, with the goal of creating an exceptional gaming experience that you’ll want to keep coming back to. To make sure we can deliver on that, and give the team the time they need, the next reserve has been set to release in 2024.
We want to get this news out to you early as we know you’ve been excitedly waiting for a reserve announcement before the end of the year.

To all of you that were hoping for some reserve news today, we would like to be fully transparent with you! Yes there is a reserve coming this year that has been in development for some time. While it's always fun to see you all sleuth for clues on where we're going next, we're not quite ready to share details about that yet! We have some sharp hunters out there that I'm sure will get the hints when we're ready to share them 
. There will be other DLC releases before the next reserve (not referring to events with free cosmetics). These smaller DLC's are carefully crafted by different teams than those that work on our reserves. It's super important to our team that all these DLC's meet our quality standards before we share them with you, including our reserves that take more time to polish.
We can't wait to share all of this content with you (when it's the right time 
)! If you have other questions, feel free to ask in #🦌︴general and we'll lurk around for a while. We won't be able to answer everything, but we hope to give you clarity. Thank you!

You are an animal. You wake up one day to find that your warden has mysteriously disappeared. Without population regulation, prey and predators are in a struggle to survive. Prey are greater in numbers and will need to collaborate to find and eliminate the predators in time to save their lives, but disguised and hidden in a massive reserve, the predators are not known to them. Predators, you'll need to crush the resistance without being found. Be sneaky. And among all the chaos, you have the Tibetan fox, who really couldn't care less about any of this

I just wanted to follow up in case you missed my update during yesterday's Live Stream. Here’s a quick recap, but if you'd like a more detailed explanation, feel free to check out the full stream!
My role at Expansive Worlds is changing. I will soon be stepping down as a Community Manager and joining the Call of the Wild Development Team with a brand new role we are creating called the Beta Program Manager. 
So, what does this mean for all of you, and what will my new responsibilities be? I'll still be around (though not as frequently) and will continue hosting the weekly Hunting Lodge live streams. However, my focus will shift toward working with the Player Council and providing feedback to our Development Team from our beta testers. On top of that, I will help launch a new community platform which will enable you to get even more involved in the COTW development process!
That means, if you have something that requires a Community Manager’s attention, please submit a ticket via @trim crater. This ensures that the right people will see it! @real cipher and @quiet sinew are your go-to folks for assistance when it comes to becoming a creator in theHunter Network and moderation/running of our community channels, including this Discord server. To give feedback about the game, you should use #cotw-feedback and for support and bugs, reach out to our support team.
To sum it up, these are exciting times for me here at Expansive Worlds! I'll be transitioning into my new role starting at the beginning of March. You’ll still see me lurking around here, but I’ll need to focus on my new responsibilities. Also, since I am now going to be on the dev team, when it comes to game related questions I won't be able to answer those in DMs or mentions since that goes against our moderation rules for the dev tag here on the server
I’ve been beyond excited to share this news with all of you, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for theHunter: Call of the Wild!

The free patch will be officially available with the Alberta Hunting Preserve release on June 17th.

Rolling back to the previous build is not necessary. You can disable the updates and/or internet connection and enable them back tomorrow after Alberta launches. If you've already played on the new build and did the rollback, please be aware that your save file might not be compatible with the older version of the game until you install the patch again tomorrow!

We are aware that since Patch 8.3 came out, many are experiencing performance issues related to opening up the map. This should solve it for now:
From the Start Menu
Settings > Interface > POI ICONS MAP -> OFF

After updating to patch 8.3, many of you have had performance issues related to opening your map.
Especially with the timing of the new patch and content, we are aware turning off POI's on your map is not an ideal solution and makes it difficult if you want to use tents or fast travel. Our suggestion to turn off POI's for now is only temporary.
To turn off POI's:
From the Start Menu
Settings > Interface > POI ICONS MAP -> OFF
We don't have an update yet, but are continuing to investigate. Once we have an update, it will still take a little more time to get any kind of improvements to you. We'll have more info next week.

This fix will address the crashing and lagging issues many players reported having related to opening the map, a bug that came up with our latest Patch 8.3.
Additionally, we will extend the Halloween Howling in-game Community Event by another week so that those with performance issues have more time to participate and be eligible for the Halloween skins.

We've been seeing a bit of misunderstanding about the newly announced premium trophy mount pack.
Patch 8.4 will contain 16 new plaques and 40 new platforms for EVERYONE. On top of this there will be a UI overhaul and filtering system for trophy lodges and we are adding the ability to add skins as extra customization. This is the patch that comes on the same day as the mount pack and scotland DLC.

Me, Red, and Isabelline were a little skeptical about coming on to Call of the Wild for a while there, but decided in the end it would be an honor. We have loved seeing everyone's reactions to the addition of our first mythical creature: the haggis. It's meant to be very difficult to find, but certainly not impossible. After thorough investigation, we have identified an issue that makes specific players unable to find the haggis at all. We will have a fix for this in a patch next month. Until then, if you are having trouble finding the Haggis, we highly recommend you stop searching until the update and hunt a more realistic animal meanwhile. More information about the patch will come later on.
For everyone who spent hours searching the Scottish Highlands to no avail, we thank you for your immense patience and dedication.

While I can't reveal the location yet, I do want to be transparent about one thing. As mentioned by our Game Director in a Q&A last year, our tech just isn’t capable of giving you the next African map, not to the quality we really want to deliver. So to be blunt, the next map DLC will not be anywhere in Africa. But we are improving our tech in the background to get us there one day.

There aren’t backfills coming any time soon, but we see your comments about it and are currently investigating what we could backfill in the future.
Let me take this opportunity to talk about Patch 9.2 a little bit. You'll get the full patch notes closer to the release date, but here are some highlights:
• A fix for the Game Feeders bug that makes it work more effectively again.
• Fixes for several missions, including the ones bugged on Medved Taiga.
• New Mountain Goat Truracs, completely remastered!

@everyone If you are having any funky settings issues i.e Blue screen etc. Some people settings have been all been moved to "off". This includes FOV and mouse sensitivty. So go through all your settings and check the settings to make sure they all look ok. The Blue screen is caused by FOV being set to zero.

If you are having issues with anything to do with Trophy Lodges on PC or PS4, you are what we are looking for! Xbox we would love to use you as well, but we are going to need people to try something with their save files, and this is not possible on Xbox sorry!
BEFORE DOING ANYTHING BACKUP YOUR SAVES! Cloud or USB for PS4
For PC users, you will notice you have two save folders
<windows_user>\Documents\Avalanche Studios\theHunter Call of the Wild\Saves<steam_id> and C:\Users<windows_user>\Documents\Avalanche Studios\COTW\Saves\ folder
On PC please disabled Steam cloud before deleting anything, and in case of a conflict, opt to use local save files.
Now if you have the second mentioned folder, you should be able to safely delete the first mentioned folder and hopefully this fixes your issues.
So, start up a game and see if anything has changed, hopefully your lodge issues are no more and the only thing that might have changed is some of your game settings.
Please post in the new #691558106362019861 channel ONLY with your results, do not have conversations in there. We need to keep it clean so QA can read the findings. Please mention which platform you are on
For PS4 Users there are 2 save files: one called Call of the Wild (that's the old one) and one called COTW (new one). Please delete the old save, however keep in mind that the settings (gameplay, audio settings and the like) are stored there. So once that is deleted, the settings will reset to default. After the game is restarted that file will be created again with the exact same size - this is to be expected.
So, start up a game and see if anything has changed, hopefully your lodge issues are no more and the only thing that might have changed is some of your game settings.
Please post in the new #691558106362019861 channel ONLY with your results, do not have conversations in there. We need to keep it clean so QA can read the findings. Also mention which platform you are on please!

This is regarding how the scoring works for all animals in the game, we are posting this as there is some confusion around it, especially regarding Elk and Blacktail.
Trophy Rating explained
In Call of The Wild, an animal’s Trophy Rating is based on its trophy organ : antlers, horns, etc.
The exact way the Trophy Rating is calculated varies, depending on whether or not the animal uses the TruRACS system or not.
TruRACS animals
TruRACS is a system that can generate random configurations of antlers / horns for an animal. It was introduced into the game last year, and we progressively convert pre-existing animals to that system.
For animals that use TruRACS, properties of the trophy organ such as main beam length or number of tines, are measured and used to determine the Trophy Rating or the animal, much like what is done in real life.
You can see the details of that evaluation in the “TruScore” tab of the harvest screen.
Other animals
For animals that don’t use the TruRACS system, things work a bit differently because the game cannot directly evaluate the properties of the trophy organ.
There are a limited number of trophy models available for a given species, and each model is associated with a range of possible Trophy Ratings. The exact Trophy Rating of an animal is selected from the range associated with the trophy model they use.
Weight and Level
Weight** has no** influence on the Trophy Rating, except for animals that explicitly have “weight” as their trophy type (e.g. ducks and rabbits).
An animal’s level does not directly determine it’s trophy rating either. Higher level animals tend to weigh more and have bigger trophies, but there is always a bit of randomness in this correlation.
For an example, a level 4 Wild Boar, has the possibility to provide 3 medal ratings: Silver (low chance) Gold (most likely) and Diamond (low chance).

Great Ones and TruPATCH - Free Update
The first Great One has now been released into Layton Lakes! We have started the roll out and expect it to be complete within 24 hours across all platforms and all regions.
As well as the Great One, we have released a very nice list of bug fixes and game improvements, these are:
New Features:

🦌The Sound Design team has brought some major improvements. Animal footsteps and sounds of animals moving through vegetation have been updated and remixed to give you a better sense of distance and spatiality. Similar treatment has also been done to some animal calls. Additionally the amplitude of several player (like whistling) and environmental (like rain) sounds has been tweaked, so that they never get too loud. We received great feedback on the sound improvements, and our work here will continue.

🐞Fixed buckshot often failing the Harvest Check

We just wanted to give you an update, as we are well aware that the patch yesterday came with frustrating issues. It is important that you know we are taking this very seriously and sorting them out is our highest priority at the moment.
Trophy lodge issues, animal variations, and other issues are our focus, alongside crashes. Sending your save games to support@thehunter.com and letting us know what issues you are experiencing, is always a tremendous help.
We are aiming to get a hotfix out before the end of the week, and we will give you an update tomorrow to let you all know how this is tracking.
We are sorry for the frustration and inconvenience this has caused some of you, we endeavour to put it right!

Just a quick update to let you know that progress on the hotfix is coming along and we have been able to reproduce and address most of the recent issues players were experiencing. We are on track to finish up tomorrow, and then will more thoroughly test the hot fix. This means that if everything goes according to plan, we should be able to release it across all platforms early next week - possibly as early as Monday.
At the same time, there is one issue we want to let you know about. If you have been lucky enough to harvest a Great One, there is a chance that one of the fixes might change it’s medal back down to a Diamond. This is sadly unavoidable, but we wanted to correct it as early on as possible and to also inform you all, so if you do find a Great One, you might want to leave it until after the hotfix, to retain its correct medal.

I think about the only thing better than announcing this beta, will be when I get to announce these are released for real!!! That is right, this weekend we are running an open beta and we want you guys to go shoot all the Red Deer you can find! Oh and then wait… it gets much better. We are pretty sure the TruRACS scoring has been fixed on ALL animals! So we would like you to have a close look at the harvest screens and scoring for us as well. Then also, while you are here.. Hey all, I am not going to put a ping out for this. But I have seen some people questioning the big racks for the Red deer. Remember we have tried to take a selection of racks that are found all over the world. Europe, Argentina, Scotland/UK and New Zealand, where the world records are shot. This year they are predicting a 800sci Red gets shot... something a little like this one, remember the monster racks are actually real!

We’re overwhelmed with all the positive feedback and chatter surrounding the first ever canine companion for Call of the Wild. It’s a huge feat for us, and a long-time anticipated addition for everyone!
As it turns out, there were a few sneaky stowaway’s aboard the release:
👉 Bloodhound ‘Tracker’ trait progression not working as intended.
When the Bloodhound reaches level 15 its animations may decline into a persisting slow motion state, essentially making it unusable. Thought to have been resolved during early production, this issue selectively reappeared during the Content Creator Weekend and has since been popping up more frequently among the sheer volume of players.
As an almost immediate temporary fix a server-side change has already been pushed to prevent the issue for players that have yet to encounter it, and solve it for the minority of players who have.
Please note this temporary solution is an online only fix; players who play offline, and therefore aren't syncing with our server, will still run into this issue.

An entirely new issue with growing reports, Silver-scoring animals are being recorded as Gold, Gold as Diamond, and Diamond as Great Ones.
Luckily, we know the cause and are in the process of preparing a fix. The downside is that any kills registered in the Codex between the issue occurring and the upcoming fix will remain incorrectly listed.
A hotfix is coming.
The team is working toward resolving these issues as quickly as possible, though with this weekend (Easter) being a business holiday period for many around the world we won’t be able to deploy a hotfix as fast as some may have hoped for.

We’re here to give you an update on the state of the game, and also share a little insight into what the team is working on.
To recap: In late March, we released the long-anticipated Bloodhound DLC for theHunter: Call of the Wild. We cherished the awesome hunting stories that you shared with us and are so fortunate to have such a passionate community dedicated to our game.
Despite our efforts and positive testing results, the Bloodhound release wasn’t as smooth as we had hoped. For example, the ‘Tracker’ trait progression wasn’t working as intended, and the Codex Scoring… Yeah, that too.
We promptly addressed the situation in a ‘Message From the Developers’ update, and a few weeks after, a hotfix was deployed simultaneously across all platforms.
While this update solved most of the hot-topic issues (but not all), it also, much to the detriment of the team, introduced new problems. As we’re sure most of you know, there are almost always risks involved when preparing and deploying a hotfix. Despite our best efforts to successfully resolve the issues we plan to address, sometimes stuff happens or there’s something we can’t see when testing on such a limited scale and we aren’t able to get it right. We really are sorry about this, and share your disappointment.
While there is still much work to do, the team has been making good progress every day.
We’re not ready to commit to a date just yet, but we’ve prepared a solid list of issues that the team is actively working on.
Please keep in mind that we can’t guarantee that all these issues will be solved. We will however do our best to solve as many of them as possible.

Before we dive into today’s update, we want to say how inspiring it has been to see the positive reactions to Rancho del Arroyo. From watching our global community work together to solve the mysterious bottle gourd clue, to finally sharing with you the location for our tenth reserve, your passion and excitement has been overwhelming.
That said, we know there is one question that still remains; “when will it be released?”
We’re here today to let you know that Rancho del Arroyo is releasing on June 29 for PC via Steam, with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One slated to arrive in July.
We know that this is not the news our console fans were hoping for. However, we are pleased to share that the console versions will go into certification submission with Xbox and PlayStation this week. If there are no unexpected surprises during this time, it should only be a few short weeks until our console community can experience the thrill of desert hunting on their preferred platform.
While our ambition is to release content on all platforms simultaneously, the certification process on consoles versus PC is more complex and takes longer. As Call of the Wild and the content we make for it continues to grow and evolve, the challenges that come with it do too. While we have come a long way since our launch, and make notable progress with each release, we’re still learning as we go.

Last week, we released Rancho del Arroyo on PC via Steam. We’re thrilled about the positive reception to the new reserve, and hope you’re having a great time hunting in the desert!
For our console community members eagerly awaiting the chance to jump in, we want to let you know that we found a few things during the console certification process that needed fixing. Unfortunately, this means that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions have been delayed a little longer than originally anticipated.
As we mentioned in our last community update, our ambition is to always release content on all platforms simultaneously. We weren’t able to deliver on that ambition for this release, which we know is disappointing to many of you. As a team that cares deeply for this game and the amazing community that supports it, it is for us too.
In the meantime, we’re doing everything we can to bring you the console experience you deserve as soon as possible and will continue to listen to player feedback, investigating any new issues along the way. Our hope is that many of the issues discovered with the release of Rancho del Arroyo on PC can also be fixed in time for the arrival of the console versions.

We’re reaching out to you all today in response to a well written letter that was composed to voice the collective feedback on behalf of many of our fellow members. Its contents sheds light on a number of issues we need to acknowledge and improve upon.
The community’s passion for theHunter: Call of the Wild is more than we ever could have imagined, and the acknowledgement for the care and wellbeing of our staff is heart-warming to say the least. The fact that we haven’t always repaid this dedication and kindness with the clarity or level of communication you deserve is something we can only begin to apologize for.
As was rightly mentioned: actions speak louder than words. We need to be better, starting with the way we communicate. Of course we can’t always share every aspect of the development process and status, we do want to share more, do more and ultimately bring our developers and community closer together.
The goal of our development team is and has always been to deliver immersive and exciting, quality content for our players. And while our intentions are always genuine, we hold ourselves accountable to the fact that we haven’t been able to completely deliver on these promises.
Our latest release, Rancho del Arroyo, is no exception. Despite our best efforts to release simultaneously across all platforms, we faced the same problems as our previous reserve release, and the one before that. We get how frustrating this is to our community of players.
The whole team at Expansive Worlds is equally frustrated that we haven’t delivered on our goal to sim-ship and deliver reliable updates to the game and we are putting specific measures in place over the coming weeks and months to solve these issues.
We genuinely appreciate the time and thought behind this letter, and hope that while this response doesn’t solve any of the issues mentioned above, it does provide some insight into the decisions and events that lead to this point.
To put our actions into words, we will come back to you next week with an update on the release date for Rancho del Arroyo on consoles along with the patch on PC.

Last week, we responded to a well-thought-out letter written by a community member in an effort to address the collective frustrations regarding how we communicate and release our content. In our response, we rightfully acknowledged these issues and endeavoured to improve.
This week, we’re writing to provide a bit of insight behind why Rancho del Arroyo has been delayed on console, and to let you know how we’re working to bring you this content as soon as possible.
What happened:
The first delay was a result of not planning to fail, meaning we didn’t allow ourselves enough support space to problem solve issues that may have potentially popped up prior to or during the certification process.
The second issue arose after we had passed certification on Xbox and PlayStation; prior to scheduling a release, our team had discovered a persistent GPU-related crash issue unique to the PlayStation build. While Xbox was good to go, we were adamant in our desire to sim-ship, despite the additional delay. And, awkwardly enough, this was also when our studio was scheduled to close for two weeks. Not communicating this in full prior to our closure only led to more confusion and frustration among the community.
What’s next?
With the GPU issue now hopefully resolved, the PlayStation build is being prepped for submission to Sony for certification which should take a few days. Once the PlayStation build is undergoing testing we will update you all with our release plans, so expect to hear from us again later this week.
In the meantime, and due to the severity of a number of issues brought about after the release of Rancho del Arroyo, we have just released a much needed fix to our PC players on Steam. Aside from the PS4-specific issue, all of these fixes will be implemented across all platforms.

Today, we’re happy to announce that we have passed PS4 certification and will be releasing on both platforms; PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, on Tuesday 31st August.
On top of that, we’ve been listening to and taking note of what our PC players have been saying about the latest patch and are investigating a number of the issues mentioned.

Good news! The fix to address Xbox players experiencing missing purchased & mysteriously unlocked DLC has passed CERT and is on track to release at ~11AM CEST next Monday (13th)!
We've also made some headway regarding the frame rate drops a number of players have been experiencing across varied reserves on console and are now investigating potential solutions. This one sure has been a tough nut to crack!

Progressing on the frame rate front, we've surmised that the issue lies with how objects are rendering over varied distances. Right now, we're working on ironing out the stuttering while maintaining that level of detail you'd all expect and deserve.
On top of this, we wanted to share a couple of extra things we're working on fixing for the next update:
[🐞 FIX] Couso 1897 shotgun: unable to shoot in while aiming if the player fired with another gun beforehand
[🔍 DESGIN] ‘Y Tambien Hermano’ mission: We're removing the wait time for the mission to advance after interacting with the diary. This one isn't actually a bug, but we're going to give it a little UX tweak👌 because we admit it has caused some confusion!

We have two updates we’d like to share with you before we wrap up the workweek. In a nutshell:
1️⃣ (In case you missed it!) We’re SUPER excited to share that 
JaxyBeard a long-time valued community member has joined the team as a Community Engagement Manager! We have no doubt he’ll have a wealth of knowledge and experiences to share and are so pleased to have him aboard!
2️⃣ The FPS issue is believed to be related to an object's Level of Detail (LoD) and how it changes over distance. Basically, when there’s a lot of animals on screen and this doesn’t update properly, the game uses more system memory than needed, causing the framerate to dip.
We’ve managed to reproduce the issue internally. It may not sound like much, but helps the team better understand the scope of the issue and possible fixes. We’re making steady progress, but we need more time to investigate and test.
We don’t have a timeline to share just yet, but this continues to be a team priority and we will update everyone as soon as we’re able.
In the meantime, please keep sending us bug reports. They’re incredibly useful!

We have a mixed bag of news to share, so fasten your seatbelts! We’ll be sharing:
▸An update on the FPS issue
▸Steps toward preventing these types of issues in the future
▸Quality of life updates!
Efforts to resolve the FPS drops on consoles over the past few weeks have unfortunately confirmed our theory: the issue is more complex than we’d hoped and needs additional time and people power to get right. As such, a fix won’t be likely within the next two months.
While reports indicate only a percentage of players affected overall, we know that this is a frustrating experience for all who are. We’re also investigating improving our toolset and optimizing resource-heavy features so that we can avoid similar situations moving forward.
In the meantime, the team has been working on other quality of life improvements. Look for more details about this in next week’s update.

⭐️IMPROVEMENTS
‣ Especially helpful for certain key actions while having a hunting dog by your side, PC key binds now indicate when a long press is needed in the Settings menu;
‣ *‘Y Tambien Hermano’*: you will no longer need to wait for this mission to progress after interacting with the diary in Rancho del Arroyo;
‣ We’ve reduced the amount of shotgun score required to purchase 12 GA Birdshot ammo;
‣ The outline color for animals spotted by other users in any multiplayer session will now be customizable via the Settings menu;
🐞BUG FIXES
--- Animals & Environment
‣ Mexican Bobcats will no longer be stuck in an animation loop at drinking zones near lakes in Rancho Del Arroyo;
‣ Your doggo 🐕 will not continue to growl when they are near a freshly shot animal;
‣ Turkeys and Pheasants will not land on/below water when flying across lakes;
--- Weapons, Gear, & Character
‣ You’ll now be able to shoot with the Couso 1897 shotgun in aim mode if you’ve fired another gun previously;
‣ (Sadly) You’ll no longer be able to continue firing after running out of ammo for weapons like Coachmate Lever .45-70, Whitlock Model 86 and Focoso 357;
‣ Morbidly enough, only seeing hands during death animations while riding an ATV after getting damage from Cacti is no longer a thing;
--- User Interface & Multiplayer
‣ Fixed the issue of ammo not being displayed in the inventory quick access if you've purchased it after being used up;
‣ (D’oh!) We will now recommend the correct ammo for Collared Peccary in Codex menu;
‣ The Scent Eliminator and First Aid Kit now show the correct icons in the player HUD when equipped;

‣ Hunt Club (HC) events
‣ FPS update!
It’s that time of year. Halloween is just around the corner and players have achievements they can’t complete without a certain event. The news:
Bad: it won’t happen in 2021.
Good: reassessing the stability of HC and new events is on the priority list for 2021-2022
🐞 Frame-rate Issue
We’re still a ways off, as discussed in our update 2 weeks ago, however development and planning for these optimizations hasn’t stopped. Here are some of the things we’re addressing:
‣ AI behavior update frequency and synchronization with rendering
‣ Level of Detail (LOD) optimization for all animals
‣ Animal need zone redistribution, schedule changes, and herd population tweaking
As you might imagine from the points above, these efforts aren’t small and will need to be done over a series of updates, the first being prioritized for later this year. We hope this provides some extra insight into the scope of the issue!

A GREAT big content and service update will be released next Tuesday across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam! It includes a number of quality improvements and bug fixes, including those mentioned in our Community Update a couple of weeks ago.
Apex Connect is coming to COTW! This is a big first step towards more live in-game functionality and freedoms like in-game rewards, player reporting, events, multiplayer invites and friends lists, and news updates. Keep your eyes peeled for more information next Tuesday.
The moment many of you have been waiting for is also arriving next Tuesday: we’re not going to tell you what they’re for, but we’ve added a few new hints for you to find. Don’t forget to share your search adventures with us here and on socials!

Even though it’s late for us here at EW HQ, we want to provide you with an action update based on the reports received after the Apex Connect release.
Below are the top 3 reported issues, and what the team is working on resolving as soon as possible:
1️⃣ Reports of Red Deer Great One’s spawning dead: this is something the team has not yet been able to reproduce, and the current theory is that it is in fact a separate issue to the GO themselves.
2️⃣ Various Weapon Packs and Parque Fernando missing from Xbox players’ libraries: the team have a good idea as to the cause of this and are working toward a fix.
3️⃣ Fast travel broken across a number of reserves: being previously fixed legacy issues, this means they shouldn’t take too long to resolve.
Please know that we appreciate your continued support and share your frustration in these matters. We’re working as efficiently as possible to get them resolved and will provide another update as soon as we know more.

We’ll be addressing a number of critical issues on with the December 7 release, including:
‣ Significant changes to address the FPS issue and boost performance

‣ Fixing the broken fast travel bug
In the way of improvements, we’ll be:
‣ Conducting some fur quality enhancements for all animals;
‣ Retouching the visuals for water in lakes & rivers;
‣ Updating the feeding clue meshes for predators (nor more blood splatters)

APEX connect is down folks. This means ALL players will be logged out and unable to use any APEX features. This also means that crossplay between APEX and Steam will be unavailable until APEX comes back up.
We are working on this, and the restoral date is still tbd.

MISSISSIPPI IS OUT ACROSS ALL FIVE PLATFORMS!!! On top of this, we’ve got some updates for:
‣ the players experiencing crashes
‣ invisible animals
‣ known issues in general
For our community members experiencing frequent crashes, namely on consoles, we are currently testing a hotfix and hope to have something ready for release later next week. We’ll keep you posted!
We’ve managed to reproduce the issue surrounding some animals appearing invisible at varying distances until the character is within about 50m. A fix for this is currently scheduled to ship with our next content update. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.

🌧️** Rain, rain, go away:** the designers have made some tweaks to the weather system! The likelihood of rain will be lower while still maintaining the desired vibe and aesthetics.
🚣 ** Just around the river bend:** we’ll be implementing point-to-point transport sites along the riverbank in Mississippi Acres Preserve. At present, they won’t be visible on the map but that is something we will be addressing a little later this year.

One additional fix that eluded the preliminary patch notes, though we did confirm during last Tuesday's stream for the next update: The Kullman .22H now provides a more appropriate bang for buck. The prices for the weapon and the ammo have also been slashed, so they're more in line with similar weapon and ammo types.

We have a couple of things to touch on as we end another week:
On Tuesday we posted a Support Update across socials about purchase issues on EGS. The core issue has been fixed, but we’re still working with our partner to address reimbursing those who have already paid for the DLC.
There has also been some confusion pertaining to new UI settings options and viewing POI icons on the map. If they’re not showing up, don’t fret! You can enable them again from the settings menu: Game > POI Icons > Toggle from "OFF" to "ON"
Spoiler: we’re working on additional functionality improvements for the next update!
We’re proud to say that MRP has had a pretty smooth release! Of course, there are a couple of smaller bugs we’re actioning, like the stuck ducks and animals stuck in drinking animations.

In terms of news and recaps, here’s what’s up:
We’ve been receiving reports that some players on Xbox Series S have been experiencing persistent crashing. This is currently being investigated and we’ll provide an update as soon as we have more to share.
There has also been some talk surrounding the missing Drink Need Zones for the Springbok, Jackal, and Scrub Hare on Vurhonga. This is something that fell under the radar when we were preparing the patch notes and is in fact by design!

Last week, we shared an updated issues list which showcased a number of confirmed fixes to accompany the next big content release. This week, we want to provide insight into some of the reworks and improvements the team has been working on.
We’ll be touching on these points, so keep reading!
Continuing on with the waterfowl improvements and fixes that came with the MRP, you’ll see more polish and optimization for animations, environmental interactions, and behavior. This includes balancing the use of Need Zones for both ducks and geese.
A long-standing community request: we’re also in the midst of giving the Red Raptor (especially) and Marksman Exact reflex sights a sizable redesign! This means the introduction of retical customization options including size, color, and shape.
After the feedback about the change in how POI display settings function which came with the release of the MRP - toggling this setting enables/disables in-game and map icons, together - we’ve split these up so they can be turned on or off separately.
