you need to meet 4 requirements, shoot the animal with the proper ammo, don't shoot it more than two times, don't hit a trophy organ (skull in most cases) and hit a vital organ (heart, lungs, liver or brain)

I actually had a feed zone down on the river on the very edge of the circle you should at least have some kind of feed or drink zone there for black tail you just have to find a location where you're far enough away to get it

yes, you own the server, but that server is your friends actual save game, like when he plays offline he can play on that map, without anyone else ofcourse, so anything you do wont save to his offline slot

Usually poly tips, but there’s some circumstances where soft points have enough pen that the extra pen of poly tips is more or less wasted, or has equal effectiveness at a lower cost.

One example is the .243 against pretty much every class 2

I am trying to break the mindset of “poly tips = always better” since there’s cases where soft points do the exact same thing at a lower cost, which can save you some cash in the long run

there is no THE optimal loadout.... you might always lacking something... so you need to first make sure what animals you want to hunt (i.e. which reserve you are going for) and then based on this you choose your weapons

One other idea is to set the time back to approximately when you spooked him, locate him again, back-track to find a zone. Then go back to that zone during the zone time

You can also set time to drink time (6-10, so start around 7:30 or 8) and search all the water in the vicinity (and I really do mean all.)

if you kill any animal elsewhere it will reduce the hunting pressure in other spots..... the hunting pressure itself will only deteriorate very slowly (if it is even still implemented)

-.308
-M1
-7mm

For moose, .300 or .338, depending on whichever is available to you. If you can get the .300, use that. If not, .338 is the next best option

Red deer are class 6 btw, so the .300 and .338 would be overpowered for them

hey i’m having a problem so i was doing my rotation and i restarted and started to do my rotation again and some of my zones were loosing red deer i looked all over the map for a zone and had no luck so idk what to do

i have 50 zones on TA for red deer

there’s 54 red deer drink zones on TA

i had 51 at one point now 50

Before you are max lvl shoot them for more money and exp.

If you are doing a diamond or great one grind, you should shoot a female only if you need to move hunting pressure for some reason.

Depends on what you want. There is a multimount which requires a female puma/mtn lion (Tactical Espionage, which involves a female puma/mtn lion stalking a Roosevelt elk bull)

There is also a multimount with a male one (collision, where a male puma/mtn lion takes down a Blacktail buck)

How useless is the .470? I know it has bad range, you only get full integrity in 4 species, and that both gun and ammo are too expensive, but will it instantly kill a bison with a lung shot?
