It's kind of disproportionate because I can't remember ever having killed a female deer of any kind and even getting a silver.

Unrelated: Can someone explain why some upland fowl need to be killed mid-air? I don't understand why that's more 'ethical' -in lack of a better word.

I don’t really have an issue with that but because of that, if the bird is still in “take off” mode but still very high in the air or just starting “landing mode” and you shoot it, you still get penalized.

Like let us shoot them if they are in the air that’s fine.

We follow that guideline and still get penalized.

Especially if it’s moving fast or far away and you can’t tell if it’s actually in “flying mode” you just take a shot at it and notice it was landing on the harvest screen.

hey so i havent really played this map yet but i am wondering for some confirmation about how good the map is if anybody could help.

So for one. It is bird heaven. 13 of the 19 species are either ducks, geese, or upland fowl

Pretty good map. Big. Lots to do. The waterfowl system is something new and improved.
Not a lot of elevation for glassing though. Expect thick-ish forest and many lakes. Has some similarities to Medved now that I think about it.

However theres more wide open areas and there’s more opportunities to just run into animals, particularly the upland fowl

The way I utillize COTW -- not grinding, - the Finland map is better and significant improved compared to the "older" maps. -- Possibly somehow closer to real life hunting experiance? Perhaps too many animals when counting individuals? However, that is ok --- still a game.

I can confirm I got through the main mission. The only minor annoyance is the warden lying about a special bear that doesn't exist, north of Blue Trail rope bridge.
