ah, so its a visual glitch, you cant see how much coal is actually in it, i thought it ate all the coal but it eventually ran out, maybe ill swap this out for nosmokestaylit
Yo guys! I need help locating a mod. Does anyone remember a mod that would add a different type of Copper deposit in the black forest? It looks like a pile of rocks, but copper.
This mod does that. There may be others as well but this is the one I've used in the past. It's highly configurable as well. I recommend that you read it's web page carefully.
i guess you can add that with Expand World data (add MineRock_Copper as vegetation)

It does add the ore piles out in the open world as well as adding the mines. You need to read the mod's web page as not all it's features are obvious.

A long time ago, there was a "Trader Immersive Locator" mod, that by using some vanilla objects on a campfire (seeds/trophies/etc), Hugin came and gave you directions you need to be heading. But it isn't updated anymore.

There are mods where you can place prefabs of those types of things, and they work nicely, but there is no way to design the functions yourself in-game.

If you only want to play modded and with one mod profile. go into r2mm and find the "Set Launch Parameters" in settings. from there copy the arguments in the Modded section and past those into the launch arguments setting in steam

This was designed explicitly for immersive playthrough. It's got it's own custom low-map mod, not compaitible with NoMapPrinter. So it's best to install this in a new profie without NoMapPrinter.

Nothing is “going on” with the mod. When you see messages like that it means you’ve double installed a mod with the same GUID but different versions. They are in the plugins folder and in different sub folders
noone is using Valheim raft?
I always advise against using it. The mod has been extremely buggy since its inception and most bugs for it just get swapped every time it attempts a fix.
there really isn't a performant way to move pieces around, especially on water.

i mean they get too big for your available weight anyways so im not sure im even that sad about it, but im curious why its not working

are you using yml file? you'll have to enable it then you can leave the cfg default because yaml will override it.
if you need only one type of backpack then you can use just the cfg file and not yaml

see the yml must be working to some capacity because all the custom bags are showing up

i dont have iron yet so i cant test the other backpacks yet
are you using the cfg from the modpack or you changed it? the cfg is weird so its easier and batter to keep the original one that comes with the modpack. and are you missing any lines from the yaml like crafting station?

ive touched nothing, so i have no idea what its using
the default config only has the explorer's backpack so i assume its pulling from the yml with the custom bags since i have a custom bag
worst case once i progress maybe ill just change the default to the upgraded number and see if that does anything
it sounds like something is breaking the mod or something wrong with the valheim+modpack version mismatch or something else. if it's relicheim i can try it later tonight. but you can also install only backpacks mod and use the cfg and yaml from the modpack to test it properly.
Make sure to toggle the "use external YAML file" option to on in your cfg file or it won't work.
what happens to the ZDO of a creature when it is killed? it doesn't appear to be destroyed. is it preserved somehow for respawning? or is my testing just probably wrong, lol
i have that option turned on, i just reloaded the game again, and even recrafted the bags and upgraded them just to be sure. still 2x2
i kinda had hopes for that option when i saw it lol
so yeah, only changing the default size in the yml makes it change size, just tested. you have to recraft it too
When a creature is killed/destroyed, its ZDO is destroyed as well
i dont know enough about yaml files but maybe the format is incorrect somewhere for the size increase

Yeah, all creatures and prefabs are clones of one original prefab.
When a new creature spawn with the same name it's still a unique clone but with data restored.

I'm having trouble finding a particular mod, may not exist, thought I'd ask:
TLDR I'm looking for a mod that modifies the default behavior of the "Take All" container UI Command (and maybe the Ctrl + L-Click shortcut for moving whole stacks of items between containers) such that it will initially only move as many items as I can carry and only overload me IF I do the same action again.
The ideal behavior I want would be :
- IF
inventory_weight <= current_max_capacity(factoring in belt, forsaken powers, potions, etc.) ANDfirst_item_moved.baseweight + inventory_weight <= current_max_capacity(i.e. you can move at least 1 item without going over capacity) : Move as many items as the "Take All" orCtrl + L-Clickwould normally move WITHOUT EXCEEDING max weight - ELSE : Default behavior for either command, overloading as much inventory as possible with no regards for weight
This way I could take from a container initially as much items as I could carry using "Take All" or Ctrl + L-Click with normal inputs and it would cut it off but if I wanted to revert to the default behavior, I just hit the same input again to get the default behavior. I would also probably settle for just never exceeding my carrying capacity as the default behavior and only allowing and overload by picking up items from a container slot and placing them in a specific inventory slot manually, no shortcuts
Not clear… just press take all to take all then ctrl click the individual items to overload. Is that what you mean ?
What is not clear is that if you say “move as many items as you can without exceeding max weigh” ..how do you determine that ? A chest could have iron bars and leather scraps. Big weight diff. How to know which one to move ? What item has priority ?
I see the issue though. I have some ideas. I’ll fix it.
So Example: My inventory is 217/450 weight units. I click "Take All" on a chest, Whatever arbitrary order the chest starts to fill in items from that command, it will check each time to make sure no one item will exceed 450 units (I assume it does a similar check to make sure it doesn't exceed inventory slots. You're right that it is somewhat arbitrary in a mixed contents chest and perhaps that makes it an invalid option for moding the "Take All" command. That limitation wouldn't exist for Ctrl + L-Click shortcut as that will always be one item type.

My creatures in MagicalMounts get pins and internal storage when tamed.

With EW Music you can add new tracks, with EWData you can set music tracks for biomes

I added a similar feature to ZenUI v0.7.10
The state changes based on the condition of the inventory:
- Take stacks: Unfilled stacks in the player's inventory are filled (example: refill ammo). (ignores weight).
- Take limit: If there are no stacks that can be filled, the button will take items up to max weight.
- Take all: Items are moved to inventory via vanilla behavior (ignores weight).

No, Xbox users can't load mods due to the limitations of the console. Sorry. However, there are mods that can go on a 'server only' that Xbox users can then join and 'use'. Mostly just QOL mods of one kind or another.
Did you mean 'stamina'? Because I don't think adrenaline is in the game. Not the vanilla game, anyway.

ye i understand it, basically no map and u can only access the map with catro table, tho i cant update it since i didnt have artisan at that time i tried it
You can change the crafting requirements for making a portable map. You don’t need an artisan table. You need to allow 7 game days to pass before it fully explores the area. It updates itself automatically. Portable maps let you take a copy with you.
You can accelerate the age of the table by being in god mode and pressing alt when you interact with the table
It creates big beautiful maps

If a player wants to make a book they can make a template and give it to the admin to add to the server.
So techincally yeah they can decide if they want to it to be ReadOnly or not.
If they do it via the game then there's no way to lock it I realized now.

ya, i think it would make sense to have books created by the player be read-only except for the player that created it (via PlayerID) OR admin in god mode. That's the only one who can edit books. UNLESS the creator of the book marks it as "public" then anyone can edit it. But by default they should be read-only.

i had the idea for a camera mod. so you could take pictures of stuff in game... it would save as super low rez images to an external file. NOT part of the game world. That way it's easy for admin to cleanup.

nah, no links needed. less is more.

rich text, sure... that's handy.. easy enough to implement too. Movable UI, sure.. if you want. Although i can't imagine much of a use case... i set the position once and forget it. Seems like the kind of thing that could be in a config file. But up to you how much effort you want to put into that. But adding pictures and story.. that's the core meat of it in my opinion. Player driven stories. 🙂
often a world will exist for a wihle.. players will come... play through.. and then leave.. their bases remain.. turned to rubble... new players join the server... they see the old stuff... it's obvious that someone was there before them.. but no story about who they were or what they did.... i've always thought that would be a nice addition. a way to leave a mark for the next players to come after you

yes, its not a problem if you use steam since it uses clouds saves. I did that multiple time never lost my saves

Sorry to bother you again! So I did that but not show up. So I followed everything in the video but when I open up the mod version the terminal box keeps popping up as well and idk if that’s supposed to be happening.
so reading the terminal screen it says "Your mono runtime and class libraries are out of sync.
The out of sync library is: /Users/brigetteprimero/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Valheim/BepInEx/core/BepInEx.dll
When you update one from git you need to update, compile and install
the other too.
Do not report this as a bug unless you're sure you have updated correctly:
you probably have a broken mono install.
If you see other errors or faults after this message they are probably related
and you need to fix your mono install first.

Hello, me and my friend was looking to get back into valheim in 2025, can anyone suggest some full overhaul mods, with new content/mechanics/qol etc? for a new playthrough, last time time i think we played it fully was around 2 3 years ago, i tried looking on google and mod forums, but most of em are not very specific/bugs etc
check out everything by Therzie and Balrond for lots of new/overhaul content
that said for looking up mods you should use the thunderstore with either it's own mod manager or one of the alts like r2modman
they have inbuilt browsers for mods (most mods up to date for the bog witch patch work in the current one so just check the update dates) and easy install processes
Why is testing these mods alone so freaking slow it feels like. Actually maybe that's just me XD

Me and my friend are playing on a modded server that's only got a few mods that actually change stuff, one called ForverBuild, TorchesEternal, and WaterproofBuildings. Ever since we started playing though we've been having an insane amoung of issues that are pretty unique to this game, any ideas?
We'll have issues where lag is just hot potato'ing from player to player, even to the host and they suddenly can't open a door without a 4 second wait, enemies will teleport, can't input items into the furnace without issues, etc.
We're also having an issue now where my friend who isn't the host right now is breaking boats when they try to sit on it
Rebooting the server / restarting our games is usually our first option and it helps on occassion, but this time we're not seeing a difference. I'm the host and when I try to sit on the boats it works perfectly fine and they're functional, but when my friend does they're either unable to sit on them or they sit and the boat is non functional

Remove the mods and see if the issues go away. Check your error logs LogOutput.log file in BepInEx folder.

I feel like I'm doing something wrong or maybe the mod doesn't do what I was told it does anymore. I was advised that the Plant Everything mod can be used to remove the "Needs an open sky" restriction when it comes to farming. But I either don't see that setting or have changed too many settings that I messed it up now.

Tried Custom UI, BetterUI, and BetterUI ForeverMaintained (betterui being funny because it literally has footage of them moving the stamina bar in the showcase...) but none of them have stamina bar movement?

The InfinityHammer mod does a good bit of that with it's increase in Hoe capability. It handles precise leveling, raising and lowering, resetting, painting, etc., et. And you can change it's selection area from circle to square or rectangle and then reorient the area as you wish.
That's just yet another reason they sell it as a 'Survival' game instead of just another 'Hello Kitty' rip off. 😛
Pro Tip: It's not as annoying when you have better armor, weapons, food and turn up your audio so you hear them coming.

Hello everyone, I'd like to increase the weight of my inventory via G-Portal. I've already installed Valheim Plus, but I can't find the setting in G-Portal. Can someone please help me?
I hope you've installed one of the newer 'versions' of ValeimPlus as the original one is hopelessly out of date and hasn't been supported by it's author for years now.
Also, if it's your server, you should be an Admin and have ServerDevxommands loaded on the server and on your game and that will give you a console command that can set your carry weight to whatever you want.
I'm currently running Valheim Plus 0.9.16.2 (Grantapher), and yes, it's my own server. I've logged in as an admin, but unfortunately, I can't find the tab where I can increase the weight in the inventory. I used to rent a server from G-Portal, and I could always change it in the basic settings. Sorry for my English, Google Translate 🙂

And, I'm sorry that I can't help you with the G-Portal stuff. I have no experience with them at all. But the ServerDevcommands mod that I suggested above will work for you, if you don't find another easier solution.

I was wrong. Sorry. You can't set your carry weight limit without another mod to add that to the devcommands list. I thought it came in with ServerDevcommands but it does not.
You do get infinite carry weight with 'god' mode, which is a devcommand, but I don't think that's what you want.
This mod will let you adjust your carry weight, if you want to add another mod to your game.

Hello everyone! Who mb know some mods like: " Hildirs_Buildable_Piecesv by coemt ". For enable build pieces from traders (Haldor/Hildir/BogWitch - camp/locations. Like Haldors or Hildir Lox's with crib or other vanilla props.
And maybe working replacement for " BetterCreative by HeinerMan " which broken(cant destroy any parts by vanilla player tools) from ashlands patch.
There's More_Vanilla_Build_Prefabs by Searica, but I don't think that has trader pieces. It has a good many vanilla prefabs that are not usually buildable though, especially if you enable creative mode.

Most mods need to be installed on all clients (which exludes xbox) in mp, unless the mod's page explicitly states the opposite (like the ones listed above)
There is a Server QoL mod that can be on server, and xbox users joing that world, will benefit of that mod. Like changed size of chest, taming, etc. Check it out on Thunderstore.

If it's for a server, it needs to be installed on the server and client. If it's just your friend joining you in your game, you both need the mod. I can't say about it counting as a console command though. I don't know enough about how the mod works

You're required to pay for it to work in Multiplayer.
passive enemies is a configuration parameter in vanilla. on the startup screen edit the world modifier for your world and turn on passive enemies. then they won't attack until you attack them.

Why do you choose a backpack mod over an extended inventory mod?
sorting and items in bags dont place in chests. they also have weight bonuses
and theres so many mods your inventory would be full in 15 seconds
my epicloot mat bag has 24 slots and its full and cant even carry each type
it does work, its just janky asf
theres jank in the way the yml requires an upgrade section, even if all you do is set the same size parameters as before
and theres jank in the way it usually requires that you move newly created backpacks to a new slot before you will nbe able to wear it, or any upgrades will apply addiitonal slots
both of which have been reported eons ago
becasue you can have a weight reduction, and extra slots, and multiple backpacks for compartmentalizing inv, or packing fiendish quantities of stuff into ships....AND you can have extra inv slots for even more juggling of lots of light items
being inside a backpack and inside a chest also protects the contents from being pulled by craft from chest mods
it also means you can quickly drop that 3 metric tonnes of silver you are staggering your way to the longship with, should you suddenly need to fight, or just regain stamina
aaaand you can be carrying various item-specific backpacks (like a prepacked portal, or Karve go-bag), or general-weight-reduction-becasue-you-dont-need-it-instantly packs (like half my fight food and most of the tools, keys, potions, grenades etc that I dont need in my main inv).... so you pack it, stick it in your inv, and forget about it till you need a thing, need to leave a stash at your bed/spawn in case you get killed and have to corpserun, or otherwise need ot leave it behind to make room for other things temporarily.
oooor you can temporarily put that chest full of eggs into a backpack, and the backpack into the chest, so that none of the 40 eggs you just separated and dropped near a fire get auto-collected by the chest

It depends on what you want to achieve. Some of the ward mods will allow you to set items within the ward radius as indestructible. Or there is is GetOffMyLawn that allows you to set the health of player placed items. If you want crops to not be a target then PlantEverything will allow you to configure those to not be a target of enemies. I think InfinityHammer also lets you alter item health, IIRC.

Are you after mods to help you build or ones that add build pieces? Build_Camera_Custom_Hammers_Edition gives the option to freefly a certain distance away from your character when building, to help with placement of pieces. Gizmo gives additional degrees of rotation and another plane of rotation. For build pieces there are so many. More_Vanilla_Build_Prefabs lets you build more items from the vanilla game, so is a good place to start. PlantEverything lets you plant things like raspberries etc to help decorate your builds. Missing Pieces and More Missing Pieces give a few more vanilla-type build pieces. Then there are full on mods that add lots of build pieces. Balrond has some good ones.

Yes, while not true for all mods, the vast majority of mods just work better and more reliably if everyone had a copy. It’s not true for all mods, but unless you know the fine details of how they work or the readme explains it well the easiest thing is to just make sure everyone is running the same mods and same versions of those mods. That way there is less chance of errors.

When the server you're on and your game both have the same mod and the server 'syncronizes' and changes some of the mod's config options when you join it, does that change the option settings in your mod's .cfg file or just change them in your game's memory but not in your actual .cfg file?

Did you build stuff using modded content ? Modded build pieces ? If so they won’t be visible without the mods installed.
And if you saved your game after removing them they are gone.
You would need to reinstall the mods and restore from backup in that case.
However, if you only used vanilla build pieces then the content will be there. But you may need to restore from backup. Also if you changed the world size or world gen you will need to ensure the mod is installed.
hello i jsut added the horse mod in existing save
so do i need to make a new save to see the horse? or do i just go to undiscovered chunks?
there is a few different horse mods, but pretty sure they all work the same, horses will just spawn randomly in the world. no discovery needed, just patients in finding them or spawn them in with admin command if impatient.

I'm currently having the problem that I can't access all the mod structures.
You can see the number of structures in each Hammer folder, and that's the problem. Several folders have over 100 structures, but only 96 can be displayed per folder.
As far as I know, you can't scroll.

It's possible. Bounties are in the relicheim pack but I don't know if it's it's own mod or custom for relicheim
Haldor has the bounties with this. Epicloot is severely nerfed in relicheim and you basically have to do bounties to enchant gear

all mods have a potential to clash, you will have to try and see if other mods clash. But out of the box this set does not clash with itself and it's fairly widely compatible.
as to "ships" and stuff i don't know... you have to find your own mods for that. this is a core pack that makes valheim feel more polished and makes it more challenging.

im not quite the hardcore player yet, so more challenge is not exactly my cup of tea yet, but the QoL looks great in this
you can tune the difficulty in the settings. out of the box it's only slightly more difficult because it asks you to immerse yourself and to find the cartography table before you get a map. other than that it's pretty close to vanilla.
you also get a compass once you can make an iron nail
but those features are optional, you can disable them if you just can't play without a map from the start. i personally find the challenge of building roads and marking paths to be more fun so it's on by default.

put it in it's own blank profile, that is the easiest way to set it up.
oh and apply all the updates.
oh one more thing, out of the box, you have to keep the fires lit or monsters will spawn inside your base... but it's like 25 game days for a fire to go out... that's hours and hours, so it's not hard. in vanilla a workbench protects you, this is different, keep your torches and fireplaces lit to prevent monster spawns inside your base. .. fun twist to give light more utility than just light 😉
i prefer that over the questionable workbench mechanics so great
the cursor will tell you how many game days are left on a fire so you never have to guess
and you can see the perimter of coverage if you hold a torch

i'm working on a mod that auto-pins objects on the map. I'm wanting to test a feature but I need to be able to differentiate pins the mod has placed from pins manually placed or placed by the core game. this isn't an issue during the session when those pins are added, but after logging off and back on, obviously, my mod loses all the data it was tracking. apart from having my mod create a file and adding I/O operations to have a "permanent" resource to refresh the data, is there anyway i can differentiate between manually added pins vs pins my mod would add? (also, apart from altering the pin names with some kind of marking string). thank you!!
I think pins are saved with CreatorID/Name fields, you could probably achieve your goal by abusing them. Be careful though, If I remember correctly, certain actions (reading map table) will remove all pins with a non-zero creatorId different from the player's id

track the position of the pins you added and persist that data to the player's customData field. you can pack the Vector2 array into a ZPackage and write the zpackage as as a base64 string to customData.

Just be careful about how/when you load your zpackage back from Player.m_customData as it can be fragile. My other suggestion is write a version number into the zpackage first for future revisions.

it's used by vanilla, just trace it.
ownerID isn't the same as author. owner is network owner. author is who created the pin, remember pins can be shared in vanilla.
It is a way for them to track who the pin came from.
Technically no full/current use in the vanilla game.
Is there a mod that allows scaling resource drops to number of players? I'd like to do a base (like 1.25) + per-player multiplier (like 0.25) so if I had 3 players it would be a drop rate of 1.25+(2*0.25)==1.75. I can't decide whether it should be based on players connected to the server or players in that loaded zone? but if such a mod exists already awesome if not I might be writing it.

You can install a configuration manager mod and do it while inside the game.
Or you can do it manually outside the game by just editing the mod's .cfg file in the BepInEx folder's config folder with a text file editor.
You should run the mod first and let it create it's .cfg file the first time it runs.

Hi Im using CLLC and i used linear on drop chance i dont feel it though it should multiply by the stars and i dont see it ive been keeping eye on it and deer 1* dies only drops 2 hide (sometimes 1 for 0*)* same as 0* and for boar 2* only drops 2 hide 1* and 0* drops 1 hide. Does it really multiply based on star like 1* is equal to x1? so 1 x 1 = 1?

Searica-AdvancedTerrainModifiers and its shovel tool, normally i set its maximum radius to 5m, but its max of 20m makes excavating a node stupid easy. Then just clear any trees touching it, or anything within ~3m, and hit it a few times. Water level is irrelevant.
given that you seem to have never done anyhting this before, you probably should also use JereKuusela-Ore_Support-1.9.0 to visualise how 'clear' the copper node needs to be of surrounding items
a few of the portal related mods have some degree of control with respect to this, but you probably should also look at progression based mods, as they specifically define such things.
Currently i'm using Smoothbrain-TargetPortal, with VentureValheim-World_Advancement_Progression being used to specify the boss key required by each player (individually, not just a global key everyone gets then someone else kills a boss) before they can teleport each metal.
caveats: VentureValheim-World_Advancement_Progression is excellent, but isn't completely perfect. It disallows the use of a few things like poison arrows, despite finding them well before killing bonemass. ie: some items have boss-kill requirements that are a level higher than they should be. Also for no apparent reason the server i am running it on has had zero raids, no matter how i set the server (-setkey playerevents ), and no matter how i set the mod's option (global vanilla, or specified by the most boss-advanced player present)... nobody is complaining, and it's probably an obscure mod conflict, but Oriana also has said that she doesnt intend to do updates, even minor ones apparently, until final game release. I'm ok with the mod as it stands, but clearly its still a little imperfect at this time.

if you play that character without mods, and it gets auto saved, your inv is usually gone.

yeah, mods that work fine for you as host will often be weird when theres other players. Either figure out which mods are causing it, or set up your old pc as an actual dedicated, and only put server-side mods on it. It's due to the fact that client side mods arent always designed to tolerate multiplayer situations, or to play well with othe rmods at all, that you are seeing these issues.
Also if you have comfy-gizmo installed thats likely the cause; apparently you cant run it on a server, not even a locallyhosted one. it has to be on the client only.
If you use crafty chests then you are accelerating the gameplay loop. It should be mentioned. Some people do not want the game to go faster or break the manual immersion. Not everyone wants that. ZenConstruction gives an alternative where you open only the single chest next to the workstation and no magical item teleportation.

well you have an awful lot of things going on there, some of which overlap a bit, but nothing that stands out aside from maybe try removing localizationCache and startupAccelerator; they can eaily make things weird... and I dont really suspect it but of course I also cannot tell what wackydb is touching, so it could be related to that too; as it can alter pretty much anyhthing in the game depending on your edits.

I agree, startupaccelerator doesnt work with all mods so turning it off helps if running into weird things like "no errors but doesnt start".

Some people accumulate a selection of mods that do specific things, the selection of which gets refined a bit each time they start a new server. You wont always find this type in a thunderstore modpack.
Other people look for big weapon/armor/magic mods that tend to move away from the the vanilla game experience/balance. There seems to be more potential for mod conflicts and weirdness in thiis scenario when mods from multiple authors are combined. These you will often find in modpcks.
Game updates break many mods, almost every update, it depends what got changed in the game.
If the mod is listed on thunderstore, and not marked as depreciated it has in theory been tested against the current bepinex, and will therefore work, at least in isolation from other mods.

You can disable the low-map mod (ZenMap, is just a restricted map, it's not no-map)
And you can put content packs on top like MoreWorldLocations or Therzie's stuff.

Anyone know how to handle running a modded dedicated server through r2modman when the server is being hosted by gportal with valheim plus built in to gportal?
We originally played the server with having to download valheimplus and put it into our local valheim steam folder

I somehow turned it off in the process of making the mods all work together and can NOT find it at allll. I had chosen a straight long hair option with bald on top and my beard was long and flowing. does anyone at all know what the hell mod i had?? lol please and thank you.

Please forgive my ignorance. I don't play solo with mods, but I'm interested in playing in servers that have them. However, every time I ask about their mods, I'm just given a code with no more information. What am I supposed to do with this code?
It's probably a profile code for mods, if they say something like "here is the profile code for mods" they are talking about using R2modman or Thunderstore Mod Manager to add a new profile using a code that will install all required mods for that server.
in the profile Select for R2modman/Tmm there is an "Import/Update" option, select that and choose Import Profile from code.

After having that it's simple as Selecting your game "Valheim Client" not server.
Then it asks to make a Profile, from there you can create your own to install mods, or you can import a code a server gives you. You can have as many profiles as you like, each with differnt mod combinations.
After mods are installed you simply click "Start Modded" on the mod manager and it should load those mods.

That’s not a code question. That’s an issue with the mod. Ask the author of the mod.
Idea for a mod: it would upload a png of your worlds map showing only what's been explored, to a discord channel or paste it to a folder you can take the png file and share it.

its default, stones dont respawn so unless you have drop modifier increased it a 1:1 ratio and just lets you place stones for visual effects

i can reproduce the issue: you are correct, that's a bug in vanilla. when the resource rate is high you can plant a stone and get 2x back thereby infinite stones.
with normal or low resource rate it does not happen
It's been brought up many times in the other channels. Devs said it's not a bug to get infinite stone with increased drop rate

No.
Most mods are client side, so only the clients using them will see and be able to use a mod. So if you use a mod that add building pieces, and you build with those pieces, that will get purge from the game if you leave the base, and those without the mod enters it. And all will be "reset" and gone when you return. Or expanding chest size; You use the mod and fill the modded chest with stuff, then you leave the base, and someone without the mod opens the chest, and all excessive stuff can now be lost.
Then some mode installed on server as well as clients, will force every client to have the mod. So others not using it, are blocked to enter.
TL;dr Read carefully the mod descriptions and understand what the mod will do, before invite others to join your server.

ZenCompass replaces the minimap with a compass, ZenMap moves the large map to the cartography table. I suggest reading about them and how they work. They have many options. The default configuration is designed for progression.

check your error logs, also make sure you have your lodbias at least 2

if something set your lodbias to 0 it can remove all trees
however, that is only a guess as to your issue. you may have something else wrong. check your error logs if that didn't work

level of detail = lod ... lodbias is how close to the camera (lower number) before it starts clipping objects from view.

no, not quite like RtD combine. It's a collection of mods i wrote and a few community mods that improve the base game and fix a lot of broken things. You can put content like the RtD mods on top of it if you want to have new monsters or quests etc. But ZENHEIM is perfectly functional as a base layer for an improved valheim experience without unbalancing the game. By default it's low-map and asks the player to explore their surroundings and craft maps and compass. But you can disable that if it's too hard. Read the descriptions of things. Press F1 in game to view configs.

sure, then i suggest you do not add it to that mix, instead add it to a new profile and test it out. if you like it you can add content on top of it. don't mix it with a bunch of QoL mods because you will likely run into conflicts and misconfigurations. Start with a clean slate. ZENHEIM will work out of the box in a clean profile.

as to your existing situation. try loading your world in vanilla and see if the trees show. if they do not then something is broken in worldgen.

there is a slider in vanilla settings menu that does exactly the same thing. You don't need to use the console to adjust it. it was just easier for me to say it via console because you could just type it.

you can try.. i can't possibly test with every other mod in existence. you should try them individually and see what happens. Some mods work, some don't, and some work partially.

AdvBackpacks i think also works last time i checked.
There are a lot of configuration options available so even if things don't quite work you can usually adjust the settings between the different mods to enable/disable features until you get it the way you want. not always, but often possible.
however, the default configuration is balanced for vanilla progression - perhaps even a little bit harder than vanilla due to environmental hazards and logistics. I like to set resource rate to very low and monsters to very hard.

I'm sorry if this is dumb, but I'm new to modding valheim and not entirely sure how it works. This mod needs BepInExPack_Valheim correct? Does that work with vanilla clients?

Yes, it needs bepinex. You need a modded host (I recommend a dedicated server, either rented or self-hosted), but the clients can be vanilla
I run my own pterodactyl host, so that's not an issue.
I installed bepinex, but am getting "Cannot Connect" for both console and steam players so I'm sure I missed something, but don't know what.
Were you able to connect before you modded the server?

Ye, I have 2 server's up right now running the same configuration. One is being used currently, the other is testing the mods.
I have no issues on the first one, but the 2nd one that only has Bepinex with no other mods is having the connection issue.

haldor, i think doesn't spawn until after you find him once.
he's got several possible starting locations... quantum Haldor
all the merchants work that way if i recall.. they don't exist until you discover them

Does the BepInEx/LogOutput.log file exist? If it doesn't that means that bepinex is not running which could mean that you didn't install it correctly. If it does, check the file for error log entries

I think I've done everything correct, but I really don't know how modding works for valheim specifically.
My server runs on windows and the procedure is different for Linux, so i don't know. But if the log file was created, I guess you installed it correctly. Were you able to connect after the clean Install before installing bepinex?
