if anything I would use bonemass for when first exploring the mistlands for the amount of bugs that are there. It will boost your survivability by a lot, that way if you get jumped by too many bugs you aren't just going to instantly die. Also bring fire resistance mead for the big guys that shoot fire out of the sky

Eikthyr's is good for running away and traversing but doesn't allow you to take on a fight the way bone mass' power does

Never use Yagluth’s power.
Frost resistance can be obtained with capes, armor or mead. Fire resistance can be obtained with armor or barley wine. Lightning resistance is only useful against Yagluth and Eikthyr.

Yagluths power is useful when fighting Dvergr mages, thats about it. Also Eikthyrs power is still good even in Ashlands.

Resistance meads against them saves forsaken power to other use, Bonemass or Eikthyr are better.

You don't need to attack dvergr towers for tissue (yes, they can have some in crates), you can mine petrified skulls as they have soft tissue inside.

you get almost as much from crates (sometimes even more) way faster + u can get tissue from the dvergrs, a sap extractor & other things in their various bases, if u wanna use a cart to break the ward it'll take a long time, it's much faster to just use a heavy attack on the ward & fight off the dwarves

Bring at least 2 full stacks of arrows. I made the mistake of only bringing 1 stack and ran out which made the fight drag on into the night.

with a root harnesk the crossbow dwarves do no dmg to u, so u only need to worry about the mages, use yags power and u dont even need to worry about dying to the dwarves at all

Ah, if it's multiplayer then 1 stack each may be enough. I'd still play it safe and go for more though.

Also make sure that you have a weapon which can deal with stone golems like the iron mace. Even if you clear the area ahead of time, those things still tend to hear you from a mile away and come to interrupt the fight

That is not the case, if you pull cart for example in the area and attack it they will still agrro on you 🙂

Expect you won't be able to sail straight there either, there may be multiple islands in your way. If you need to, break down the ship and walk it across (nails sink, so make sure the ship is in shallow enough water to retrieve those)

You need a base to craft items at a workbench. You should get a level 3 shield and flint weapon before fighting Eikthyr.

Assuming you gained victory but a future advice: you might want to upgrade your foods to proper tier especially for boss fights. Carrot soup falls off at that state as you could have had eyescream or onion soup as stamina food at that state. Lox meat is okay, but sausages or wolf skewer would have grant better hp stats and longer duration.

Yeah, Serpent stew is very good HP food. But with those suggested foods (wolf skewer and eyescream) you could have had 191 hp and 162 stamina.

Or serpent stew + cooked serpent meat + eyescream = 196 hp and 164 stamina.

Was that world created before Ashlands?

If so, the release of that biome caused some major terrain changes. Not just in the south, but also to all adjacent landmasses.
All landmasses connected to the Ashlands were removed to make that biome a "stand alone" biome. But as a result, other parts of the world may have changed too.

Same happened to the Deep North, btw.

Back in game, in your new world, press F5, type "devcommands"

Correct, you can plant everything else except Mistlands mushrooms in Plains. That is one reason why a lot of players choose it for their main bases.

Wondering if anyone knows details about if bosses despawn. We are on hardcore and just did our first yagluth attempt, 2 people died, and me and another survived and ran away. The beds in the house were destroyed by meteors, so our 2 dead friends can't re-join the fight. And now the portals are disabled even though we ran away to the meadows.

With no boss portals, we can't port them here either. will Yagluth despawn if we wait long enough / run far enough away?

It is not about portals 😄

It is about splitting the difficulty world modifier into 2 parts.
One of them being the current Normal/Hard/etc. with regards to player and enemy damage.
And having a second slider that affects only the spawnrate of starred enemies.

Because sometimes you want a harder challenge than normal without altering all damage values in the entire game. So an increase in starred spawns gives you that.

You'll likely need to find the Vegvisir runestones located in the towers in the swamps. The crypts are tricky to keep orientation when surfacing.

You can still make this work, flat pieces work well at rooftops, if you widen the longest bit of the roof with flat in the middle, it will allow you to round the edges a little more evenly

Atgeir is superior for crowd control due to secondary attack and deals normal damage to Loxen (they resist blunt and slash). Sword is good all arounder with no MTP and Porcupine is good for keeping enemies away due to knockback and even okay against Loxen due to partial pierce damage.

You don't need mods, just find a spot in meadows or plains, you can use devcommands or in game world modifiers to build for free, and use a hoe and pickaxe to make a nice big flat area. As well, i believe you can fly off the edge of the map and fly down, never done that myself but i think there's an empty plains like land you can build in.

If talking about the first time in mines with Plains gear:
Frostner is good against Seekers as they don't resist frost and it slows and knocks them back. Blackmetal atgeir is also good for its secondary attack when surrounded and even Iron sledge is useful.
Otherwise, use weapons you have the highest skill lvl with. Like Knot said above, frost arrows and ooze bombs are also great.

this biome is so annoying, mountainous terrain with huge mist is a combo...

It differs a lot from previous biomes progression as mist limits sight and you need to rely more on hearing enemies afar... But as you progress you will be able to craft an item that helps tremendously with travelling there.
With some materials found in Mistlands you can make a mead base for mead that increases your jump height, which can also help a lot with travelling. Combined with a new mead you can buy material from Bog Witch travelling becomes very fluid.

I've learned to recognise those mines better during the time Mistlands has been in game. Some spiky rock formations are one good indicator for possible mine and Black marble building with seekers on roof. Mines have always seekers near the entrance.

And the mines found inside the rocks have almost always wisplights.

Missing health and stamina meads and I would pop a poison resistant mead too, and upgrade the mace to 2, if you good at dodging and stuff the armour doesnt need to be upgraded is okay. Food is bad though, you are using mostly meadows food not even black forest or swamp food, which requires you finding and growing 2 different vegetables one from forest one from swamp, this will make it quite hard

I abuse the pathing they have, they will go in a straight line to you, unless they encounter terrain they can't get over and they are slower than you.
Get on a ledge / rocks / uneven terrain they can't pass, they will go around to reach you, jump down the terrain, they will go around again to reach you.
While they get closer plink with arrows or circle strafe and attack from their flank for a few hits and repeat till you have some nice pelts.

Either push them in a boat or have a buddy drag them with the harpoon while you sail or vice versa.
To push them in the boat , make a little ramp over the boat and push them in, if you can do it with just born ones or have pregnant boars so small ones spawn on the boat it makes it safer.
Boars will aggro on mobs that are to close and might "jump" out of the boat to attack.
Piglets don't do that.
If you don't want to go trough the trouble again you can use the console to spawn them in but that is less fun in my opinion.

Haldor has 10 possible spawn locations that are located in Black Forests which are at least 1500 meters away from the center of the world. Approaching any of these locations will permanently place Haldor there. This can happen from 320 to 453 meters away (about twice of the default minimap range) when the related Zones are generated. When discovered, his bag icon will appear on the world map.
