So, do Devcommands not work anymore? They worked today, I have the settings on correctly, set as admin on my dedicated server, have -console on the launch options. I can press F5 and get the console, I type devcommands and I can turn those on and off myself, but even with them set to true when I type the sleep command, it doesn't work anymore? I tried restarting the server, still doesn't work. I don't understand, they worked a couple of times earlier today.

You’ll see more as you explore. Sometimes they’re just decorative. But frequently they’re something more than that. However, I feel discovery is one of the best parts of this game, and the devs have put loads of little details like this into the world. So I don’t want to say too much.

Like just yesterday I found something in one of the mid-game biomes that I’d never seen before, so I’ve marked it on my map and will come back to it when I’ve finished gathering resources in the area.

You can't unplant anything. Dealing damage to planted seeds (e.g. punching) will destroy the sapling; you'll lose it entirely.

Some of the ground can be imperfect and not able to use the hoe to completely flatten it. You'll need to beat the first boss and make the pickaxe in order to hit those spots with the pick and then reflatten with the hoe and it will be better

Are you talking about the world map generator site? At least for my world, created post-ashlands update, it is 100% accurate from every detail I've looked at

In some cases even pre ashlands, the site would show slightly different maps or even very different locations for alters etc. In my experience though it is mostly accurate. But you can upload your world file to the site for more accurate info.

Don’t worry too greatly about losing them. Each carrot will give you 3 seeds, so once you get the spacing right if you plant, say, half your crop for seeds, then plant all the seeds, you’ll have more than enough seeds and carrots before long.

But, they need approx 1m between them. When planting, walk in a straight line, and rhythmically press rmb to get good spacing.

Enemies have vulnerabilities and resistances. Every weapon/arrow/bolt has variable effectiveness depending on the scenario. Google is your friend.

How deep is the water there?

Mobs will attack boats. And if they break it, the nails will sink.

So if not using a boat for any significant amount of time, I would break it down and store it in a chest on the dock.

abominations spawn randomly, not at fixed points.
it's narrowed down a little bit by them needing sufficient clear terrain to spawn, but it just takes walking around the swamp for a while.

the only fixed spawners in the game are around points of interest such as dungeons or ruins, and they're almost always one-time only. (some exceptions include the 3 surtling spawners around fire geysers or one of the 3 skeleton spawners at the entrance of burial chambers)

this stone wall piece is tne only one which is breaking fast and often in this stone wall. All stone pieces in the lowest wall level are blue and connecting to ground. How to fix this so that one stone in that wall wouldn't need repairing every 2nd or 3rd day in game?

stability shouldn't affect the health of the piece, that might be an enemy attacking that particular part of the wall.
could it be that there's a torch or sconce behind it, or usually in front of it?

if a piece doesn't have enough stability, it does break due to taking literal damage, but that damage is so high that every piece in the game instantly breaks to it, it's not a gradual bit-by-bit breakdown

either way, if there's something that enemies attack on sight inside the room behind that window, then filling the window with something like a 2x2 iron cage wall or 4 crystal walls should fix the problem

those things may be transparent, but enemies can't see through them

enemies shouldn't be able to attack against that side of building without flying because this building is in the middle of yard area which is surrounded with 5-6 m height stonewall (raised with hoe)

good tip to put there either iron cage or crystal. We'll try if that helps thou it won't help in another building where that breaking/collapsing stone is surrounded with stone (there is no window and it locates on the 2nd lowest stone row from ground, stone below is blue)

and judging by the fact that you're wearing a wolf cape, you've probably slain eikthyr, the elder and bonemass, which would mean that greydwarfs and skeletons can spawn at night, both of which have ranged attacks.

If you have valheim through gamepass or bought it directly through the Microsoft store you can download it to your pc and it will sync your data from Xbox to PC. You then should be able to look around in the folders of the game on your pc to find your world that you had made on Xbox. As for hosting a server with that world you can either run the server off your own computer or pay a compnay online (usually a monthly subscription) to host a server for you. And I believe you can carry that world over onto the server. I’m all very new to the server stuff so if I’m wrong please somebody correct me.

So I've been trying to branch out my combat style a bit. I've been a heavy armor with max health foods, a parrying shield, and a knife with a style that's just focused on parrying and taking advantage of the 2x damage from staggering enemies. I've been trying to branch out though, I've tried every weapon type through the plains extensively (except bows) and I've found myself preferring the sword more.
I've also been getting better at combat rolling, but I'm having trouble thinking about what to use with combat rolling. I know movement speed effects stamina usage per roll but I just don't know what weapons or armor go good with rolling. If I'm perfect at rolling I suppose the armor doesn't matter but I can not expect myself to be perfect and if I go all out into stamina food with the lightest armor I worry about getting 1-shot any time I mess up a roll.

Is heavy armor still viable with a rolling centric combat style so I don't die in 1 hit? The stamina usage increase doesn't seem terrible, especially if I eat more stamina food.
And what melee weapons go well with rolling?

Jumping in combat is very useful if done right. It consistently avoids most hitboxes in the game and uses less stamina than rolling.
Jump attacks wont slow you at all like a grounded attack would, and allow you to keep out of attack triggers, so you can land a hit on an enemy before they even start their attack, or start an attack while dodging, which you can’t do if you roll. You can also jump over most enemies and attack their backs.

more of a personal thing, but i made some tasty meads to combat swamp. it always rains if you didn't know in there, so wet can sometimes be a nuisance. especially if it's dark out or ur not rested anymore

When you get iron, don't make the iron tower shield. If you want a new tower shield, make the serpent scale shield with iron and serpent scales.
Serpent scales sink, so you should make the harpoon to drag serpents onto land before they die

Or you could try a different shield type, of course.
If you want a 2-health diet I'd reccomend the normal shield, and if you want 2 stamina foods take the buckler

undermining is the way to go. just make sure there's nothing in contact with it for at least 2 meters, and then when you whack it it will crumble all at once

The entire copper vein needs to be distanced from all terrain and objects by at least 2 metres (I don't know exactly), then when one part is destroyed the rest should go with it

You might need to break part of it early because terrain can't move further than 8m from it's natural height

Mine it to where the copper is no longer touching the ground, it'll have to have roughly 2m of space from any point of the copper to the ground or anything else surrounding

Once you knock the bottom out and clean up the edges of the ground it should be easily popped

Would it be worth it to build a canal to speed up iron transportation from my swamp base to my main base? Right now I have to sail around this pretty big peninsula. From what I've seen though canals are pretty lengthy projects...

look for giant skulls in mistlands. they often are around water. keep an eye out for ribcages. if you find a ribcage, there is often a skull up at the top where the neck and head would be. if you are able to clear out dvergr camps, you can sometimes take their skull mining camp or any tissue in crates

sometimes if there is a mob around, dvergers will all leave their camp at the same time. you can watch them leave, then break their stuff and take it
