You can explore the mistlands without a wisplight, get 5 black cores, get a seeker soldier to chop down a tree for you, and get some black marble from the infested mines entrance and you're good to go

The first swamp crypt I found was tiny but had 1 spawner in it. Was devastated when I smashed it in case that was the only one in the game 🤣 I previously thought you could only get iron scrap from Oozer so I spent a lot of time camped on the edge of a small swamp waiting for them 🤣

i can't explain why but i really enjoy the swamps. i think it's the enemies. I just really like fighting them. I often go back to level weapon skills by using draugr spawners and just fighting them endlessly. good to practice parrying as well.

you're wet, could it be it was raining on the ocean? serpents can spawn regardless of the time of day if it's raining or storming. additionally, serpents that spawned from rain or storms never despawn, so it's possible for them to spawn out of your sight and go unnoticed until you encounter them another day.

It's not terrible. The sword is faster when attacking, and doesn't have a multi hit penalty like the axe does. The biggest benefit to an axe is that it is a multi-use tool.

so you can fine-tune the difficulty of the game to your liking

Nice, glad to see more people using the movement tech - I also found if you use a sitting log to clip outside of a dungeon like a black forest crypt, you can set it up and use it to fly literally anywhere in the world (since dungeons are stored really really high up in the sky) (a good way to get to ashlands pre-queen kill, if you wanted to prevent ashlands invasions from happening and didn't mind doing some exploits) (I just posted a clip of it in #screenshots)

But do NOT be encouraging lox to get all frustrated and stampy at the base of your stone column. If you retreat into it, or have stuff they can destroy around it they will knock big chunks out of it very quickly. Even tames brushing against a stone column enough will damage it. Blackmarble or (less good) stone outer layer ftw.
also: you are not out of deathquito detection range all of the time when up there. So expect surprise visits.

I have tried mining one to get enough stone for some terrain modifications but it just proceeded to float indefinitely.

Somewhere some hitbox is connected to another hitbox that is connected to something on the ground and that is preventing it going boom.
I've frequently brought those pillars down and sometimes it was just a tiny piece sticking out that I needed to break for the whole thing collapsing.

Once I had to build a high stairs, jump of them and float into a hole I created using the feather cape, then destroying a piece and the whole thing collapsed.

it will withstand numerous lox incidents, and the resulting cavity makes for a cool lair with an extra dimension of impending doom, i used mine as a forge room and somewhere to put my elevator teleporter, but yeah; its a bit of a concern when you suddenly realise that big immovable thing is really just a lot of stone. Also I imagine the support/protection scaffolding that some people build could be extremely cool...becasue you can support/protect it, and black marble is extremely resilient, and not very far (progression wise) from Plains.

valheim don't exist on PS5
but crossplay works between Xbox, Playstation and PC.
many games uses crossplay (or microsoft Azure playfab as it was called before)

I assume this means that whatever method used for crossplay works as a standard for the game to work on any platform rather than the two the game is currently for.

So if valheim does come to PS in the future, the team doesn't have anything extra to do, it's already done
