well you can do that, just saying I use a ramp. Lots of people have the initial idea that they have to touch their boat to the dock everytime, I don't fuss with that at all.

Getting the resources from the boat to the cart is the real struggle

You could try building some temporary planks to the ship then removing them when your not unloading. Irl it would be called a gangplank

I mean it takes a second, but I usually have enough stamina to complete all three swings. I just love getting swarmed and them going WHAM in a circle. It also gives me pleasure while cutting trees. I went on a wood cutting frenzy and while it's usually annoying, it was a blast with the battleaxe. I carry it and an abyssal razor, together; they're unstoppable

If the first attack was 0.1s faster they would be great.

The fact you cannot follow-up on your own parry is what stops me from using them.

I tried most of weapons and my favorites are:

1. daggers + buckler
   2)Atgeir is GOAT
2. Fenrir set + rippers has a special place in my heart but not viable at latest biome
3. 1-handed Swords are okay, 2 handed - similar but you have to be more evasive
4. double axes are generally good
5. Battleaxes - I dunno. Too many debuffs. Paired with heavy armor makes you a walking tortoise.
6. Spears...um....no

Try 2-handed with Evasion Mantle.

You no longer have to be evasive because you can parry as if you had a shield 😁

That's why atgeir sucks in Ashlands. Everything resists pierce to counter bows.

So all other pierce weapons get knocked because bows can't just have "bow damage" by themselves.

The only actual broken part about Jade is they made it work on bosses for some unknowable reason.

It's that they will catch up to you, can easily leap on you and launch you in the lava, they hit extremely hard. When you get swarmed focusing on them first tends to makes everything a lot easier

What could possibly go wrong if I climb the highest available mountain and "raise ground" to the maximum on a 4X4 meter square.
Plant a pine into each corner
Place a 4X4 Grausten floor between those pines, so each corner connects . .
Build this up to the upper end of those trees - still shows "blue"
Raise higher with iron beams.
Mount a catapult at a precise 45 degree angle (stairs should work for that, perhaps a ladder)
Bump Stamina to the max
Put on my feather-cape
and fire myself with the sprint-button held

Mit in the mistlands seems to have a maximum height btw. - if ou find something tall enough and climb on it, the air is cleared

So far we tried a few things like "from a high mountain" and my buddy and I flew seriously far.
From flat ground, we did not reach the shore on the other side of the bay where our HQ was set

It's a much more "viking-style" of transportation and saves me the loading screen from the portals - plus, I can transport ores 🙂

I'm suspecting you had skeleton surprise at some point and that rancid remains were aggroed by other mobs, went to inactive area, "froze" there and remained until you found it.

Even without required mods you can find a server admin willing to throw out a 1 or 2 star boss, though I doubt I'd survive the queen like that.

I went against a 2 star meadows boss once. My only weapons were a flint knife, flint spear, and my fists.

Because I broke both my weapons that never got upgraded and had to punch the remaining health away. It was quite fun, actually, but that boss hit like a troll.

that’s the best, except no portal too for me. i’ve only been switching recently from playing like a lunatic and not hardcore death on hard, or playing conservatively with hardcore death on hard. I find that I die way more without hardcore death lol because I do reckless for science things and I’m never thinking be prepared

or sometimes I go “wow I really love the seed” and turn hardcore death off so I can enjoy it just in case. Some seeds I’m like “if he dies, he dies“

I accidentally fell into one of those stones as it was next to a steep rise in the terrain and I slipped down and right into it as the camera was shaking. The game changed for me after that and started finding you can even hop out into the netherworld from within a frost cave by building a sitting log by a fire and sitting down into the wall. It’s very weird out there. Don’t fall off.

I have the same routine every time. I max out knives, blocking, and bows. I mess around a bit with swords because they’re cool. Then I max running, jumping, cooking, and farming. When I reach Mistlands, I go full magic and don’t enter Ashlands until it’s maxed.

Not braver, just found my way around things. I die mostly in the mountains to wolves, maby to a troll or two - before that. Got camped and farmed by a ghost in a burial chamber this run aswell.
But, I believe that if you're afraid of dying due to skill-loss, you may get more clumsy than usual, and that alone will raise the amount of tombstones.
Its simple but effective psychology; play as you're undead and you will live, just dont mix that attitude with stupidity 😂❤️

Yeah, you can reuse the same seed,but if you generate it in a newer version, it likely won’t be exactly the same world.
Valheim seeds depend not just on the seed itself, but also on the world generation algorithm. When the devs change generation (like with Mistlands or Ashlands), the same seed can produce a different map layout, specially in those areas and on the boarders around those locations, or terrain details.
So:
Same seed + same game version means identical world
Same seed + newer version means similar, but not identical.
Also worth noting:
Unexplored areas in an old world can generate with new content after updates.
But if you want a “clean” version of the updated world, you usually need to start fresh.

For the last couple weeks, about half the time I start the game (Steam on PC w 5090 and 32gp ddr5) The first time I start it it crashes almost immediately, the second time it gets to the Coffeestain or Irongate logo and crashes, then the third time it actually gets to the menu and I can play.
When this happens, it's always the same and takes three attempts to start. Otherwise it starts normally.

Tbh, i didnt play with greatswords much, but iirc the secondary of battleaxes is faster than greatswords attacks

From experience using iron battleaxe it is a tad be slower than greatsword but shows crowd control capability due to its arc swings

Secondary has high stagger and knockback and is fast. Those make it good for making room against groups of enemies and for quick finishers against enemies with low hp.

it is kinda funny how now with the addition of the wooden weapons you have representatives of a class of weapons you can 'train' with LONG before you have any example accessible of that weapon type that will do usable damage in actual combat

the 2handed swords use the same skill and damage type, but it definitely is a 'different' combat style, without the ability to offhand a shield, and slower but stronger attacks

If you have a bow or two-handed hammer, see if you can lead it to a doorway too narrow for it to pass through then just wear it down from a distance. Not an especially honorable kill, but it gets the job done.

I got plenty of unexplored area on that map, but it's been taking me 8-9 game days before I found one of those axe heads. And I explored three large Meadows for that.

One of the problems I may have had is that I had been exploring some coast lines of the Meadows, and as we may know, the explored area is beyond that of the removed FoW.
Which also meant that some of the structures I visited may have been generated even before I saw them.

Either way, I found mine in "wood house 6". Meaning I need to find the "wood house 2" for the other head.
Guess it's time to check the map generator to see where I would be able to find one of those.

Yep, its the orange one, and you should see it basically the same amount with any trinket. But you may have harder or easier time filling it with different trinkets, since different ones need different amounts of adrenaline to activate 🙂

As Smiffe said few times, their function is not to trigger in every fight, but in bigger/longer ones. So if enemy dies before the adrenaline bar fills then you didn't need it.

I use TWIG sometimes for fun. It's just I feel like dodge rolling take so long and is so hard to click it right so it actually happens. I jump and dodge manually ofc and can block well, I just don't do the actual "dodging" or parrying

Training parries and dodges on twig has an advantage. Because since he has few different timings and "feints" of attacks that he switches between, then if you can dodge/parry it, you will most likely be able to dodge/parry pretty much anything else

But like, I feel like most enemies have such a wide attack range the roll can't possibly get you far enough away that you dont get hit and uses more stanima then just backing up a few steps and then pressing the advantage with the stanima you have

you might want the mask for poison resist or harnesk for pierce resist for entering plains

I'm the opposite, I will only play fighters/driving games with a controller, everything else is kbm.

I want that realistic throttling/acceleration feeling with the triggers.

well flying and just driving im fine with controller its the using ALL the buttons ALL the time that my hands dont do well with

never owned a console after original NES so never got good with needing more than 2 buttons 😄

That's fair, I always had some form of console, but mainlined pc.

yaa RL requires sometimes 4 buttons at same time for some things to work and default settings u need 3 fingers to do it on same hand i can barely get boost and jump figured out

Yeah, but I would still advise giving it a sincere try, you would benefit from learning controller for just RL, as you'd have no bad habits to confuse anything you learn.

Controller will just always be easier when it comes to RL.
