I would first like to do the immersive playthrough, no map, no portals, just guts and wits
To me, yes and yes
But honestly it's up to the person. Don't treat something as cheating just because others do
So light houses will immensely useful for sea travelling
Like I find elemental resist meads in valheim to be kinda OP and detracting a lot from armor choices. So I ban them from my game and never use them.
Does that mean that everyone else should do that? Of course not. For a lot of people and especially new players they're a welcome or even necessary addition to the game
THOUGH I have one problem with no portal
Its when I'm building something big
Or something far away
from main base
Just have to start over with what's on that island I'm afraid
Drakkr will actually have some utility in no portal runs for carrying supplies
Though overall the longship will be the best
How many times have you started a new world @steel mica
I've lost count. Easily 30 worlds or more.
Nice
Only 4 into Ashlands, and only 1 were I beat Fader.
30 holy moly
Wow!
I probably put like 300+ hours each on both my finished worlds
I have over 5300 hours. So it may be considerably more.
I've done like 4 and one was just to get a second reto fight π
I didn't bother getting the dyrnwyn
Do you just enjoy completing all bosses and starting over?
Me either.
Mastery, Challenge, and also feeling like a new born viking warrior again
I got the first one after dying like 6 times, and the second I just used primal axes and did it the easy way
It's definitely a good big enemy stopper
How's your current world going rn @steel mica
A lot of mine has just been game mastery, but about 3000 hours of it has just been having fun playing Valheim with my wife.
Finished
Are you starting a new world?
If I've had 3 times the worlds that Robert has, does that mean I have 15,000+ hours?
Not after deep north
It seems like charred fortress is the best place to establish your ashland base
Yes
Most like it yeah
Personally I hate it
Theres a reason
I'm just guessing how many worlds I have played on. I'd have to go through my game files on several computers to even have a solid idea as to how many worlds I've actually done. π π
Warlocks
Even I sometimes hate making fort bases
But I have no choice if I wanna survive on the ashlands
I'm also gonna get me a green good boy in ashlands that i will use all the time for the flametal ore π
I mean I do hate forts in general yea, they could have been so much cooler, like the original concept art.
But specifically for basing in, I don't like them because the indestructable walls kinda ruin the mechanics of having to defend your base
Ah
I much prefer building my own base in Ashlands. I take far too long to even find Citadels to wait to use one of them.
All fun and games till a Morgan or lava blob catches on
Do you guys have green good boys in your ashlands base?
Forts also aren't particularly pretty imo
No, I eat all the greens
I plan on starting a new random world soon then.
The purples though
I do
Asksvin? No, I take them to a meadows base and breed them for mats and food.
I don't play around long enough to develop my base defenses in Ashalnds once I beat Fader. I hate the Ashlands too much to spend more time than I have to in that biome.
Good testing grounds
So its kind of a love and hate relationship for me
^
A big part of the reason I breed Asksvin elsewhere is to minimize my time in the Ashlands biome. The biome is just too distasteful to me. I much prefer spending my time in biomes I like.
@storm sinew If you're curious about the big bois here you go
SPOILER WARNING OPEN AT YOUR OWN RISK
The asksvin army:

The fort base:

The pile of eggs is hilarious
So black when you're doing your fort base and stuff do you just take down the middle tower?
That fort base 10/10, literally a fortress
Agreed, I'm not for fort bases but that one is slick
I dont, I keep it because its indestructible
Just wondering
I dont currently have the updated one
Screenshot
I dont get why the game can remember my food, hp, time left on forsaken cooldown... but not my rested buff when I log out
All good, still an awesome fortress
Does anybody want to help me finish the game? I've had it for quite some time and I only killed one boss. I want to play it, but there's just so much information I need to know that in my experience it's best to play with someone whose already played before. The problem is none of my friends want to help me finish.
Would very much appreciate it β€οΈ
#1024264966712340510 is a good place to look to make a post there or find a server that suits you, I recommend looking in your timezone and physical location (my servers are in Australia for instance and we already killing 4th boss tonight so might not suit)
Does the %pierce bonus from the vilebone armor set work with bows?
Think so π€
Why wouldnβt it?
when near another player, does it simulate ping? As I have somehow been experiencing ping as host.
Just wanted to make sure ranged was accounted for. I know tooltip says "piercing damage" but the armor set looks biased melee
playing with someone who prefers ranger playstyle, just didn't want to waste
how many dang ol abombinations you gotta kill for that root
Depending at your resource drop settings (modifiers) somewhere between a few and a lot.
5 roots per 1 kill times modifier
u can change it anytime
Base is 1x rates
Which just means you'll get the normal amount of stuff things drop
is it me or yagluth used to be bigger
is this game still active
wdym
Vilebone set and Spinesnap bow suit very well with each other in terms of looks.
Bad to the bone
sometimes i think valheim = star citizen, neverending Story, neverending early access... dont missunderstand, i love the game ... 3485h Playtime
to compare these 2 games is quite an insult haha
star citizen is heavily p2w game
with nobody knowing when its going to be done
Valheim is 20 buck (10 in sale) game that will be most likely fully released this year
after a small team was working on it for some years
most likely ..... i like that
Plus ones fun
When will there be a discount on Valheim on Steam?
Most likely when the next sales window runs.
whats a good armor set to go into the plains with
Fenris/silver, or a mix of root harnesk and other pieces
forgot about the fenris set, not a bad shout
The one you feel comfortable with.
If you want to tank, use heavy, like Wolf armor. If you appreciate speed, then Fenris armor is great. Root Harnesk is nice for tanking the hits from deathsquitos.
Yea i jus maxed out my root set for the deathsquitos
^
Only downside of using root harnesk is fire vulnerability, so I'd follow Joel's advice. Whatever set you're the most comfortable with
Gotta find another mountain for caverns
Or just stock up in barley wine
Everytime iv done a playthru i get to the plains and get squashed so first task is to simply get better⦠but other than that ima try out diff sets
Practice makes perfect π
*addictive - yes
the long hunt for a Cultist trophy continues....
oh boi. found the type of frost cave that has stone golems. not going down there for sure. u.u
Go there eventually.
is it worth it? π€
At least once. After that you will know if its worth it to you.
hum...
You can wait until its easier to deal with golems.
I don't recall anything being time sensitive, but its been a long time since I last found them in the caves.
maybe when I have magic... but that's like two biomes later... π
Oh, well, I am no longer that intimidated by golems, so I find them easy with the plains gear.
Wtf thats a thing??π
Its night time when they can be really tough.
Idm the slamming golem its the magic one that i always mess up the parrying on
I see. maybe next biome then. Outside they are fine for me. but in a closed cave...? not so sure
Well, yeah, you do have to be careful about how many you have to deal with at one time.
for the hammer golems i find it best to just block the overhand blow. The stagger window is super short on that anyway so parrying isn't really worth it.
I use Tower Shields any ways, so I am always blocking.
Most don't like it because you can't parry, and you move slower while its equipped.
Yea i love parrying lmao
Im not sure whether to make the silver shield tho, parry bonus is less but is it better?
Still using the iron rn
Not sure. I haven't used parry since my early play throughs.
Been thousands of hours since then.
Welp guess ill jus have to try it out
I gotta find a whole new mountain for silver now anyway so may as well stock up
I recommend trying out everything. Eventually. Doesn't have to be your first play through.
Oh iv done many but Iv never played for long enough to beat the game
Furthest i got was to the mistlands but quit before i found the queen
We still can't technically beat the game, so no real loss there.
iron buckler has 100 armor on a parry (40 x 2.5), silver shield has 108 (72 x 1.5)
Tru ig but boss wise i mean
both maxed
So armor wise not much difference
a little less bleedthrough damage on the shield but not really enough to matter
silver also having that higher block value for non parries tho
I've only beaten the Ashlands boss once. I hate the Ashlands, so I don't consider that a loss either. I do enjoy the Mistlands, though.
I thought there was no iron buckler so I made the banded shield and upgraded it. I'd preffer the buckler but I don't wanna spend more iron on another shield now, oh well.
plus silver shield looks awesome
Found a Cultist. praying that it gives a trophy π π my last few caves only had ulvs. and golems i guess...
It really does lmao thats why i wanna make it
thing is unless you're playing on hard or skipping biomes you really don't need the extra parry armor from the buckler so the normal shield is fine
I really wanna make the silver dagger but seems kinda a waste
Probably a lot like the silver sword, becomes the most useful going into the Ashlands.
Im using frostner rn, jus maxed it out
same reason i've never really used a tower shield. As long as you keep your normal shield upgraded it blocks everything without issue, so why take the speed penalty and lack of parrying?
Personal preference ig
Everything? Even 2 stars?
tons of red jute. no trophy π
I always have a hard time getting that trophy. I usually don't even bother trying any more.
maybe not seeker soldiers or charred warriors, but most others sure. The armor difference between tower shields and normal shields isn't that high.
you take a little more bleedthrough of course but you're also trying to parry anyway
so it evens out imo
same. But in this run I don't wanna craft heavy armours, so I have to go for fenris.
I only used the iron armor for when i fought bonemass, otherwise i keep it off so i can run freely
still i should probably go for a tower shield playthrough next time to give them a fair shake
Ima do the same with silver too
With the BM Tower Shield its the only shield you make until Ashlands. So plains to Ashlands.
I think once i get the serpent shield ima jus run that
so you go bone tower -> serpent scale -> BM tower?
The iron shield is better, except for the pierce resistance. Which stacks with Root. So thats powerful.
I like the looks of the BM shields best. Whether tower or round.
I get BM chests of black metal, so I make everything at the plains level to put up on my walls, if not also to use.
ITs pretty cool. I like the heavy armor better than the plains heavy armor. I still like the BM shields best. For looks.
The Ashlands light armor looks pretty good. Not the best looking light set, imo, but still nice.
Ima try getting the fenris set for the plains then jus focus getting bm for weapons
Plains has a light set now too, but I think its rather ugly looking.
Mostly the head piece is ugly.
I do that with my run and jump skill.
the vile set it really ugly compared to the padded armor
By the time I am in plains my run and jump are around 60. I like them to be in the 70's by the time I go into the Mistlands.
Am I in minority that thinks Vile set looks cool?
Maybe.
I mostly think the head set is ugly, the rest isn't bad.
Iv never seen itπ
Oh its like a bone set lmao, back to old times
Its another one you have to get a trophy in order to make the head piece.
I am not saying it looks bad actually, just not in my taste
Not a big fan of that ngl
Same with the bear set, it's a cool design, but I wouldn't wear it
I actually wear the bear set. Its the best set out of the black forest. IE between armor value and bonus' given.
Bear set until Fenris for me since Call to Arms.
beating up a bear with bear claws π€
Yurrr
Making them taste their own medicine. πΎ
right now in the swamp I am using roon harnesk, iron helmet and graves
I wouldn't wanna play without bows, I think I have lvl 33 right now
I only used it for the drakes otherwise im right up infront with frostner
I don't use bows as heavily as I used to. Now I might get into the 60's by Ashlands. Used to be, I would be in the 90's by then, if not 100, until I die.
Yikes
can i get to 100 on an archery target?
Now its swords or clubs that race to get to the 90's, if not both.
Better to shoot TWIG.
twig is a spaz
You can, but it's slower since you gain less xp per hit when shooting at archery target. But you can retrieve arrows.
Shooting at TWIG grants full xp.
I like to use the archery target when I need just a few more xp points for the next level
I didnt think of either
I use TWIG when I want to use a new weapon group. Pretty easy to get any combat skill into the 30's.
Except block/parry. That takes so long I only might get into the 20's using TWIG.
I do most of my block levelling with Lox.
3 Elders in closed area shooting its ranged attack raise block skill fast.
I've heard about that. Probably from you. I am happy doing it mostly with Lox.
Might be me earlier.
I miss playing with my friends, but playing alone makes everything so abundant it's crazy
last frost cave of the day. fingers crossed for cultist trophy π
πΎ
Yeah, I enjoy solo well enough, but its much more fun to play Valheim with my wife or friends.
I'll make my Gf play valheim eventually, she does like the artstyle, but it might be a little difficult for her at first
My wife is vicious. She doesn't even use shields. She just attacks. Its surprisingly effective.
You know there is actually a point about women and being absolute killers in survival games
also, what the hell, second sawmp raid in the span of 3-4 days
RNG. It can suck, or it can be generous.
tonight roughly 500 skeletons "surprised" my base, god it felt never ending
I use the big hammers for that raid.
Once you have the iron sledge, its pretty fun to smash all those skeletons at one time.
5 cultists. Zero trophies. π’ well... That's it for today i guess.
Yeah, I don't even bother going for that armor set. By the time I get a trophy, I don't even want the set any more.
gotta put it on a nice little armor stand though
Once I get a trophy, thats what I do.
at least in this game the combat is good so the raids are actually pretty fun, compared to something like hound waves in Don't starve
i played that game before valheim and everything about it seemed like a bad time
ππ© it's so cool tho... And I wanted it before going to the plains... Now I might need to do a hybrid set with a different head piece.
My favorite raid is getting hunted by wolves. Especially when I can use them to attack fuling villages. Plus I get a ton of wolf meat.
Yes.
Shit
The head piece.
Okay ion think ima go for it now :D
its called fenris? π€
The light set is the Fenris set.
it's hard until it isn't and then everything is a bit of a joke and not that fun anymore
Yeah.
RNG is fickle.
If i dont get whilst im hunting mountains for silver I think ill jus move onβ¦
Thats what I do.
I'm not even gathering a lot of silver in this run, so I am coming to the Mountains for this set, basically ππ
and nothing so far...
Besides, once your in the plains you get the fire wine. So the cultists are much less of a threat. Thats when I stock pile jute and crystals.
Yeah, makes sense π€
What do I pair with the fenris coat and leggings before going to the plains tho? The silver helmet?
You can. Gets you the best armor value available.
Without any movement penalty.
So your what? +6% to move speed?
Besides, you should have that movement mead by now too. I think.
Yeah, its the jump one that is in the Mistlands mats.
I don't think I have that one now. Doesn't it need something from the Big Witch? I don't have her location yet.
Thats a shame. I love the meads she unlocks.
Plus feasts are nice to have as an option.
oof Drake helmet is 20 silver. Since I don't have a lot of silver in this playthrough, and don't wanna gather a lot more, I might just go to the plains with the troll hood xD
Peak
Yeah... gotta find her soon
That works, Not enough iron for the iron helm?
Armor does reduce the damage you take.
Yeah. Still sounds like we have months to go before 1.0. Not that I care. Been waiting 5 years, so whats a few more months?
I have some, yeah. But iron is usually that thing we always need more π so, do I wanna spend it now...? That's the question
Hey, I have been waiting what? 14 years? For the next Skyrim game thats not an MMO? So I can wait for them to finish Valheim.
I much prefer getting iron in Mistlands, so squeek by as much as I can until I get there.
Howling Cavern doesn't have cultists, right? Only Ulvs and the boss
at the moment half life reddit
I think so? Not sure.
Yeah, only this and the bats. According to the valheim wiki.
I try not to memorize too much. Helps add to replay value.
there's a dragon egg right next to my home, nice
I've found onions instatly too, very pleased about that. A Frost cave is here too, how about that. I love the generation of this world, absolutely goated starter island
Is it me or the spinesnap packs a punch but it takes a while to draw
like i love the weapon ngl, but that amount of time it takes
Only difference is stamina drain
Get your bow skill close to 100 and you become like a machine gun.
Thought my seed was really bad till i got bonemass, bog witch, and the female trader all within 1minute walking distance of eachotherπ₯
Hildir seems to love being next to the plains. Like in my current play through she is bordered by swamp and plains.
Usually I find Hildir in Meadows, right next to the sea and Plains. This time, she's pure Meadows (by the sea). No plains nearby. But there ARE Plains on this continent.
Same here
The fact that traders also has shield, like we have a guaranteed safe spot to run to whenever we are getting bombarded by mobs
I mean who here always run to the traders for protection, so mobs will run away to reset
π€ when is gta6 supposedly coming out?
Or just wait until we get more info, come back later, play other games meanwhile etc.
yo guys, i am currently in black forest with full troll set and killed 2nd boss once, what should i focus on now?
find a swamp with sunken crypts
You'll want top shelf foods and poison resist meads
and keep an eye out for turnips
ye went to swamp, but die instantly by deathsquito and other mobs π
yeah stay outta plains π
If you havenβt yet found all the vendors, start sailing around looking for swamps and explore them
Youβre looking for yellow flowers similar to carrot seeds and pairs of green torches
I have haldor close to plains,
2 minute from there is witch,
2 minute from there, with 2 small patches of plains, is Hildir
And witch has like 12 crypts around
Has anyone considered making a D&D campaign set in Valheim?
I forgot about Odin and he spooked me a little bit
Soo... the Deep North boss has to be fenrir right?
Why?
I thought he was a wraith the first time as I hadn't seen a wraith yet.
i bet breaking the chains to fight him will anger odin (the obvious final boss)
because odin is supposed to be eaten by fenrir during ragnarok
We get to trigger Ragnarok
ahhhhhhhhhh
Are any of the bosses, so far, actually taken directly from the myths?
it would just seem a bit overt to have Fenrir, since I personally don't recognize any of the others in the mythology
ahh I see
hmm apparently valheim takes place after ragnarok though, if reddit is to be believed XD so that changes things
that would mean there's no Valhalla to ascend to, though? Guess I'll just stay in Valheim then
my guess/hope would be Thjazi, father of Skadi(who marries Njord as recompense for the killing), and the frost giant who kidnaps Idunn and is killed by Odin and his brothers(as I recall). Would be kewl with more throwbacks to the myths at least
you could play the board game
I forgot they made that
it's pretty great
Reddit is never to be believed
Fire would be your best bet, pretty sure moder has a weakness to fire
alr ty
π
Obsidian arrows are better even when Moder is weak to fire. But they are not the worst either.
Moder is immune to frost.
I can see why, was a dumb question after I thought about it π
noted ty π
No dumb questions really, as per Chinese saying you were dumb just for a moment but if you didn't ask you would have remained dumb the rest of your life.
I love that π₯
banger
Hey all, i was hoping someone would be able to help me, does anyone know the manifest number for the 0.221.10 patch, for some reason i am having issues downloading it. I can upgrade to the 0.221.12 and downgrade to the 0.221.4 but just cant seem to get the 0.221.10, any help would be greatly appreciated
does anyone know if the ashwood filigree walls will count for the enclosure check?
It should, I don't think Valheim physics account for hole in the structure pieces. Cage counts so those should as well
"im sure the person who created this game has never looked at a naked woman's body based on how the female is built"
thunder thighs!
Viking women built different
snu snu
Anyone else have a problem with wasting an insane amount of time on building in valheim?
Yes Iβm still on about this but I think Iβve wasted like 15 in game days trying to build a house
This is a big problem I suffer from lol, I'll spend a ton of time on single buildings or trying to make my houses look good. Tbh it's one of my favorite parts of Valheim though
I'm still new to the game so trying to learn how to build better, I enjoy it alot so far tho
Building a nice looking - and effective working - house isn't a waste of time.
It's time spend in getting something you would like to have your character staying in forever and giving you the feeling "Ah, I'm home" when you enter that base again.
I enjoy it when Iβm actually doing a good job and not trying to build Professor Xs mansion and the roof keeps collapsing
My problem is I want a lot of space but I forget itβs not really necessary
It might be.
Each biome comes with an upgrade to the existing crafting stations or add one to two new ones.
And the upgrades to the crafting stations, plus the storage area(s) for everything you can pick up is going to demand lots of space.
Yeah but I just started playing the game and havenβt even unlocked bronze materials so Iβm wasting time
Itβs really just the roof that I have such a hard time with
Damn how big is your starter house
Itβs actually my second house that Iβm building because my first base was too far from the Black Forest
One trock for the roof: Use the core wood logs to set up a skeleton to support the higher building pieces.
You can later replace them for the wood iron poles for even more support.
Yeah core wood is good. I donβt have that yet because of no bronze materials
But you can get core wood with a flint axe.....
Bronze axe is required for the fine wood if you want to get that from trees.
Other fine wood sources are the occasional chairs you seed near tower ruins in the BF or the ship wrecks you can find along the coastline.
Okay, didnβt know that. I thought it was only bronze
I also just add 45Β° wood beams for additional support
Do the early axes have the same capabilities as bronze axes?
I just unlocked those and know theyβre new so Iβm not familiar with them
Okay yeah Iβm wasting so much time
I want to move on
If you're able to get the early axes i'd skip bronze axe
Good to know
So I really just need bronze for the mace and thatβs it
Iβm getting troll armor and I already have the early axes
so relatable
im spending so much time trying to level the land
only to spend so much time getting the building and roofing right lol
then the real game begins
Building is not a waste when you build it big enough to contain everything you need throughout the game
It also isn't a waste when you build a cooking area indoors so that when it rains you can still cook
I definitely built a big enough area I just cannot get the roof to work for the life of me
Check the foundation pieces on the bottom of your walls and make sure they are blue
If I don't feel like building a huge house to contain everything I will usually do a big pavilion to contain all the cooking.
All building pieces are color coded. Blue means they are foundational and green means they will hold other pieces on top of them, yellow means you can't build much more on them and light red means if you add on one more piece then it might fall off because it is not supported
As in they are failing, or you just can't get them to fit?
Try to frame your house and build a frame for it complete with framing and roof beams before you put on roof tiles and walls. There are YouTube videos that show you how to build a house that won't fall apart and honestly they are fun to build
You can go pretty high with just wood. I've done big enough to contain Birch trees almost entirely. Of course that tree helps with support with whats around it.
trees are nice, I've finaly made a treehouse in the swamp next to my bog witch.
We have been building a cute little animal crossing village on the beach...
Although all the livestock are at the plains farm
building with walls is so much worse
Falling
I canβt with this game lol way too time consuming π
Whatβs time consuming? Building? Collecting resources? π€
it certainly consumed 50 hours of my last 2 weeks
That's fine. π
Gotta use up the last days of my winter break.
I think I wasted way more hours in two weeks in Valheim. But then I'm retired. π
My next semester in college is gonna be pretty light so I'll certainly put in quite a lot of hours
As long as your grades are ok, this is completely fine.
Hoeing
LOL alright, fair enough!
Honestly man, Iβd just say sack the extensive terraforming. Work with the land, not against it π«‘
Flat land is overrated
Yeah true I gotta remember to trust the process as well
The most important thing in Valheim: Be prepared.
Then you can master any challenge it sets before you.
Word
Aight I think I can give it another go now lol
Good luck! Couple more tips,
Use beams to kinda plan out your build. Donβt go too big. The regular beam is 2m, just create like two rectangles that are 8mX6m (4 beams x 3 beams) and connect them perpendicularly in any way you want, then go from there.
This is the DoubleDogg Rectangle method, works like a charm in any building game.
I've found that alternating between the hoe and cultivator gives me results more to my liking.
Hey, whatever works for you. π
thanks!
I think I sacked a big swamp dry. I am gonna go on my long ship to transport 7.5 stacks of scrap iron home. The cart I am using to get it to the ship weighs over 2000 units
I just had a weird ingame dream, first time seeing this one.
I cant remember every detail but it said the player was flying over Valheim, then a creature big enough to cover the sunlight appeared and said 'look for me' or something
Moder.
oh really? I thought it was new
1k hours and still discovering cool things
Its not all that common of a dream, and I don't recall seeing it after beating her. So even with over 5300 hours, I haven't seen it all that often either.
There are chances to have boss dreams and they are either 1/17 chance or 1/18 chance to happen
lol I was very confused by this conversation until I remembered that my viking never sleeps.
early axes op
Searching Meadows biomes
oh yeah been doing that
non stop been revealing more of meadows
maybe just bad luck
They're extremely common in the meadows.
There's rng in spawns and whether you find boar stones or villages that will have them but they shouldn't be that uncommon at all. Even without those as you run around area you already explored
Sure, post it in #building-screenshots or #screenshots π
I have it in #building-tips
But one sec I keep adding more stuff
anyone wanna play?
I always judge builds on the roof, you did good!
It looks nice, but you will want to build defenses.
windows. The roof architecture is interesting; I like it.
I will add windows :)
And thank you. I always like adding the cross beams at the top
boars have a really bad habit of hiding when we need them
Spawned in on a literal deathtrap.
A stranded island with the Meadows, Blackforest and Mountains biome.
Literally right next to each other.
whats the seed
yeah lol I want to try it too
RNG has a lot to do with it. Some times a lot of boar respawn, then it gets stuck on deer for a while, then maybe neck, before spawning boar again. It does seem to help to have a broad area to keep crossing over.
Looks great you should be proud
Now for the fun part of transferring all of my items to my new base
Uhhhhhm okay. Why are the early Axes so cheap to upgrade? It feels illegal considering they're pretty good early weapons
Is it worth upgrading equipment to the max level? Asking before I get my huntsman bow to level 4
If you have the resources and time to do so, go for it
But upgrading equipment is not necessary
Hmm, at level 3 it can 3 shot drakes with wooden arrows. I think I should save the iron for padded armor later
I don't upgrade most things past level 3, level 4 is so expensive for what you gain
that's what I was thinking
30 iron for a few more points on the bow seems ridiculous
I think the only level 4 item I have in my singleplayer world is a silver sword because it's useful at so many points in the game
I have 1.5x resources though so its easier to obtain than normal
Thoughts on troll armor vs bronze armor? Iβm planning on getting troll armor and upgrading it because you move faster
the defence difference is too small for the slowness
any later heavy armor can be worth it for your playstyle but bronze is never good
I gather so many mats I have no reservations with levelling up my gear to max.
Thatβs what I thought. So troll armor is better
How does the armor system work in valheim? Whatβs the damage decrease for the armor amount?
The bear set is the best for Black Forest. If you can get the trophy. Good armor, plus its enchantments.
if armor is below 50% of damage, subtract armor from damage
otherwise, multiply damage by damage/(armor x 4)
aye, the frost caves are actually a bit spooky, first dungeon that made me feel a little uneasy while exploring
I take it the update I had today was a Steam update, since I see nothing about it from IG?
Yeah, had to be. since they just patched it on the 19th.
it reminds me of skyrim
I see the similarity now, though I never played it much
there's another game I've played called hyper light drifter it's peak and theres a bird cult that lives in the mountains and they are kinda similar and i got those vibes
how long haver tyou been able to click t to access emote wheel for?
Weeks? Not very long.
Finally got around to digging trenches around my home, it was way faster than I anticipated
The one time I get an extra item from crafting and it's a freaking whetstone
Whetstone?
The one you craft on stonecutter.
to then make a grinding wheel
You mean sharpening stone?
Probably meant that.
does sleeping progress the fermenting time?
Yes
Yeah time passes faster.
I called it whetstone cause of the description. I wish you could make a whetstone from random pebbles irl
okay thanks
Same faster process time while sleeping applies to crops growing too. But not taming process.
π§ββοΈ β
Bears are so scary in this game
They look comfy to lie down on though
you know you're a viking if you use a head for a pillow
we could be able to make bear blankets and bear pillows for the bed π» ποΈ bear bed
If I have early axes do I even need to craft any bronze weapons or can I depend on these for the time being?
Certainly not a bare bed
Is it just me or are the early axes insanely OP
Bjorn bed
yea they're a bit strong
yeah really good for meadows
oof
First time seeing a ||Fallen Valkyrie|| and i was like "oh heck no, im out of here"
There's no "easy mode" on valheim right? Because I swear this game is much easier than I remember coming back to it
Maybe it's just the early axes
But I swear enemies are dealing less damage
or that's just the troll armor
I think generally speaking, it is easier than it used to be.
More options and direct upgrades for the player, monsters have stayed pretty much the same.
Of course theyβve added monsters, but nothing crazy strong imo
They def made it easier
I haven't played the game in like a year or two so it's been a while
Has anyone tried the board game? Is it any good?
I have it, but havenβt actually played it yet. Watched videos though, looks pretty fun.
there were some changes to make it easier, zero stamina parry is the big one.
I guess back then I didnt even know about parrying
It was difficult back then, having your stamina drain when parrying
When you try to parry with literally no stamina, you will take a big hit of damage
I think it's just easier for those of us that have been playing since day and have hundreds to thousands of hours in play time.
well that too. game is easier when you dont go "WTF IS THAT?!?!" and try to run from a thing til you die
more fun? ehhhh
That's 90% of my combat.
Eh I never really ran from things trying to not die. Usually just stood and fought until it died or I died. Rather die fighting than die running lol
i would give up my memory to play it that way again, it was so good
It's actually insane how when I have the health to tank something, I don't panic and perfectly dodge and win a fight no problem
But the second I get down to low hp I start panicking and can't dodge for shit
Is there a way to check if I have this? When I made my world I literally just made my character and generated a new random seed so I don't think I messed with any of the world settings
That's how it works ig, master's handsdont shake)
I'm still just supicious about how easy some of the aspects are
Should just have it on standard difficulty then yea.
Whenever you're in the lobby before starting up your world, select the world and then somewhere in the bottom left is "world modifiers"
But yeah valheim difficulty goes down STEEPLY once you have encountered the biomes / enemies before, and devs have been making things a lil' easier by nerfing some mechanics, and whenever they introduce new biomes they often make enemies less aggressive / spawn less often after initial introduction as players complain it's too hard
Honestly though early-mid game enemies haven't been changed much / at all. Same damage and patterns, just prob better at dealing with them
Okay yeah I don't think I had anything changed. Although I opened up the world modifers just to see and I clicked the reset back to default.
I'm probably just overthinking it
@slow flicker two star wolf heard me progressing too much in the game
and just two tapped me π
@paper marsh hey do you start every new world on hardcore or just normal
uh I kinda do a custom mix of world settings and my own personalized challenges
But in short, I play on something a lot harder than the hardcore setting for every run I do
Mhmm yep that's why I strongly advise staying out of the mountains until you beat bone mass. His power comes in quite handy against those 2 star wolves lol
Just don't be in the mountains at night, and you will see no starred wolves, let alone 2 stars.
I just caught an R5 Tuna! My first R5 for this playthrough!
This thing is twice as long as I am.
It is huge. I have one hanging next to my characters bed. So I "hear" everything it says.
Size isn't everything.
But I don't think R5 Tuna got the memo
Other fish did. I just didn't catch any of them this play through.
If valheim updates, im dropping whatever I was doing and dead sprinting to my brother's laptop

You mean when it updates. The question is of if it will rather of when it will update to the last biome but that has been the million dollar question for over a year now
i found the moder vegisir and i sitll ahvent done bonemass yet bro
are viles friendly
Ummmm.... no.
I'd go ask one
the ole f around and find out
Yes very friendly you can pet them
Not beating bone mass I feel like you're just handicapping yourself
on a first playthrough does feel odd yea
I skip him every run but I've also been playing a while
bro i thought i was supposed to go to mountain before plains and i just like exploring
bro that dude one tapped me in my bear armor π
You are
Imagine if we could tame Viles, like we do with Loxes.
Does Stamina faster fill up the higher your max is?
Undead bear army. Or mount π
Yea mountains before plains but swamp before mountains so you get the wishbone to find silver veins in the mountains
I'd be happy with taking a regular bear to use as a mount lol
Basically, yes.
You regenerate 6 stamina per second stamina. The closer you are to empty, you'll regen even more (up to 6 additional stamina per second)
So if you have a big stamina bar, it takes longer to fill, and you will be regenning faster for longer
but that boost is only near empty?
I still remember the hidden stamina mechanic from snazzy's video
For about the first 50% your recovering 12 per second.
Yeah, it drops to 6 per second.
Stamina meads are a very handy thing to have if you're running a stamina heavy build
Does this then last for the entire regen duration once you are low?
The closer to zero stamina, the faster the regen. At zero stamina your regen faster than at 10%. At 40% you regen faster than 50%. At 99% you regen faster than 100%. Etc.
Which is just another reason as to why its important to keep the rested buff.
ah okay, thanks. I thought maybe if you start at e.g. 30% and keep regenerating, this would last up to 100%
the boost I mean
Its alot more noticeable if you have high stamina food
by default 50 stamina its not that noticable
But when you eat your best stamina food you start to notice it
on my first playthough I prioritized hp more, but knowing this makes me pivot a bit more towards stamina.
This mechanic is quite useful to have in the back of your mind when building or gather resources
It will depend on your playstyle
If you like a more active combat playstyle
either go
HHS - if you get hit alot
HSS - if you dont get hit that often
with more stamina you tend to get hit less and have more actions, I'd say.
It will depend if you get hit or not lol
I'd say for the majority of players HHS is the way to go
Nice balance of stamina and health
But for more experienced player, going for HSS is nice
I mean I tended to get 2 Feasts anyway with a decent balance and ate another hp thing
I'd bring back up food just incase, feast are nice
I more so go towards a risky and active playstyle
So HSS or full SSS
3S is fun
HSS sounds like what I want
Again its preference depending how well you do in combat
I'm a fan of HHF with a mistlands/ashlands feast for eitr
Mistlands and Ashlands is when combat choice becomes quite difficulty for many
yea honestly I feel like food choice is becoming less and less relevant
We'll find out in the Deep North
I have my doubts π
Parry and feasts, as well as bear armor and ratatosk I guess, really made stamina foods kinda irrelevant to me
If I can recall the devs say DN will be alot calmer but enemies will be much tougher
this just likely means jade enchantments π
immob with a high hit speed weapon like spear or axes and then just flank behind em gg
Joelkkii would be proud
Poison weapons finally useful
Just not for the poison
bloodstone getting left in the dust
lmao true
π
bloodstone is the middle child of the enchantments
Jade for its utility
Lolite for its damage
Bloodstone for its... cool factor
blood slayer does look cool
Nah Deep North will give us 1000hp food which will make bloodstone enchants meta
trust
ποΈ π
Scales what are your thoughts on my idea for the bloodstone buff?
uh where are your thoughts?
My idea for a change is I believe many already said this but make it so that it heals you after every hit/kill, another idea while still staying similar to the original is an increase in dmg after killing an enemy but only on the first swing
copy pasted
I don't like leech, I like the bloodlust effect
I cant exactly remember what game used this mechanic
π€
After a kill your damage increases for the first swing
v rising had something similar, but with counters
after counter primary attack doing % more dmg
I do have another idea, its kinda of a mix of 2 weapons from a game
Kinda of like your bloodlust idea
the idea i've floated around for blood weapons is an increased adrenaline gain while also doing more dmg the lower your hp is
The idea is a diminishing on kill effect
Killed my sixth troll so I have a full set. Also my first trinket.
The 2 weapons im referring to is from TF2, more specifically the eyelander and half zatoichi (Im a demoknight main lol)
Eyelander is a claymore sword that grants buff to the user after each head gathered
Half zatoichi is a katana, upon a kill grants the player 50% hp based on their overall hp ,theres an overheal mechanic in tf2 that heals the player beyond their total hp, so basically you have 200hp and you get a kill with the katnana it will, instead of healing grant you 100hp overheal but it diminishes overtime back to 200
I wanna take these mechanics and apply them to the bloodlust idea, basically after each kill you get a boost/buff in damage lets say a maximum of 5 kills, each kill grants a stronger boost/buff but the effect slowly diminishes over if you stop getting kills
Kind of complicated but I hope you understand π«
I understand
I would rather such things happen within trinkets, and still have the bloodstone benefit from potentially all your ideas Black, just by gaining additional adrenaline as scales suggests.
im scared of bonemass aura π
to be fair hes like hella far away man
mountain has more secrets to explore but im scared of frost caves too
Iron mace and the iron sledge are your friends when fighting bonemass
Hard to justify lowering hp for a small damage boost in a biome where you will get your hands on this enhancement only to get like probably 3-4 shotted by enemies, especially starred ones
I feel bad for you if you think bonemass is far away cause you haven't even gotten to the ashlands yet and I guarantee ashlands is way further away than bonemass lol
It's not when some magic will utilize your health to cast, and it can also just function as a comeback mechanic in a tight spot.
Getting into combat in ashlands is very common especially that its very open and enemies will mostly have direct line of sight on you
thats endgame fr fr
Yep it is but it is also the hardest biome to travel to until you get a portal set up
The bubble is busted in any situation
Exactly, cast a bubble, eat rotten meat, and cleave away. π
wdym? cant i just use my longship
Hahahaha oh bless your heart
some day
i feel like i can tank anything with this iron armor bro
Nah man to get to ashlands you need the drakkar ship and then you have to navigate the coast line. If you use any other ship you're making life harder. Ashlands it's not a forgiving place
am i gonig to die there
Mhm but I wouldn't worry about the ashlands right now you still have bonemass, moder, yag, and the queen to contend with before even considering making a move to the ashlands
lightworkkkkkk
But still I'd like to see bloodstone have utility as a consistent risk reward enhancement, grants a buff but forces you to be more active in combat thus risking yourself in the process in trade up for higher damage output
Lolite is high dmg too yes but rng dependent
Oh I can't wait for you to get to the mistlands if you think it's light work π
son i went into mistlands one time like a long time ago and i didnt see anything
That's what additional adrenaline gain would do to be fair.
What do you mean range dependent?
Unless he's mad enough like certain players that go to the Ashlands early π
The shackle trinket is quite strong for melee users
Fair but I don't think he is lol
random number generator
Did you go before or after the full mistlands update?
Lolite weapons have a chance to cause chain lightning
true... I guess not. at least in the current playthrough π€·ββοΈ
That still doesn't explain anything lol
im not too sure but it was empty all i rmemeber was the cool wood and the mistwood i think it was lil empty though and i saw a wizard i think?
and a spire
You didn't see any bug like creatures or a giant flying brain/butt looking creature?
James you keep spoiling things for them. π’
It's been out long enough and there's millions of videos. Besides it's not like I'm telling him exactly what to expect. Just a few bugs and a giant floating butt lol
That's a strange way to say sorry.
Its still kind of spoiling because your letting them know what might be in the next biome, the bugs and giant floating thing is already a give away, while not accurate the person is now aware of these things
Cause I'm not sorry. I'd understand if the update just came out and I was telling him everything to expect. But having a little bit of knowledge doesn't hurt anyone, I'm sure that first encounter with anything in mistlands is gonna be a shock to the system lol
Random thought:
I wonder if it would be doable to try a run where all skill levels are like super super low the entire time. π€ Like, each time our skills approach lvl 10 or so we'd kill our character on purpose to keep the skills low. π€·ββοΈ
The skills arent really mandatory stats but more so a small buff along the way, the thing that makes the game doable is the resources you gather and preparation
there's a devcommands for this
Whilst yes a higher bow skill will be better than having no bow skill, the difference is just time
it's like setkey skillgainrate and then put 0
It's common to try not to die, as a game challenge. But in this case that wouldn't be the problem. The problem would actually having to die a lot to keep skills low, while at the same time trying not to die at certain times, like, when in the middle of doing something important to the progress etc.
i'm like halfway through a no skills run (just purely for science) and honestly the only thing that really feels impactful is run and jump being low
To be clear, the game isn't even out yet, even if it were, it's best to give empathy a shot in cases where you can only experience something for the first time once.
yeah, that's true. That's why I thought that maybe it could be doable with very low skills. Just much more time consuming, probably.
to stop skills from leveling?
yea
You can delete the other skills in valheim but never these two my god
Oh π interesting
You jump and explore alot more often than you think
And it definitely makes a difference
I see
That's why I'm not saying anything else about it. I was asking what he saw in mistlands when he went there to get an idea of when it was he went there. Acting like I just told him every detail there is about mistlands
If I can recall, you cant jump over a 2meter wall π
holy π
At level 0 jump skill
mountain/mistlands with low jump level and plains with low run sounds difficult π
I'm just making a point to you, where you've just seemingly had a hard time letting anyone know you won't spoil anything else until now. I appreciate that much.
The game focuses on exploration and resource gather so these two skills are a MUST to grind at the very start
Especially when you get to mountains and mistlands
Yea I'm not a heartless ahole that's gonna spoil the whole damn thing for him. Just getting an idea of what he saw cause he acted like mistlands is gonna be a cake walk when he gets there and we both know that first run introduction is no cake walk
Fair enough.
I actually remembered there's a guy that tried a challenge of valheim without running, jumping or even walking. I think he would move the character by rolling and "moving" from the movement that certain attack animations give.
The green goblin
yea bigbrian
Yeah. and he couldn't swim either. π
Honestly thinking about it now, I'd say its impossible to beat ashlands with that challenge
probably π
You're gonna get swarmed constantly no doubt
nah it def is beatable
The biggest challenge really there would the fortresses and fader
Imagine fighting a morgen without running or even walking
I guess we'd have to try and parry/block everything that comes our way
Fader is doable, you can use cooking stations to manipulate ai in general open world, fortresses just have me scratching my head
Only a masochist would do this, who could possibly be able to do this challenge π

sounds like a job for big brian
cooking stations?
We invite Fader to cook with us?
nah fader u don't do cooking stations
Make terrain wall and snipe the spawners?
I see... Sad u.u
and for the enemies inside, either snipe or attract them to the gate and use demolisher
Oof that
O, MAKE STAIRS TO THE TOWER
yea
dig all of it? until all the ground on the inside breaks? (don't even know if it's possible)
just below the hole under the door and put the loot there
or throw them through the wall
I did this when I got locked in lol
I dropped the loot through the wall and kill command
I forgot to bring wood
The central tower on a citadel? Yeah, dig under the wall to get out or in.
But in the context of no moving with wasd
only rolling
That, but easier access really
you could just break the chest to get the loot
I cant recall of you can break the standing molten cores
when the fortress is clear of enemies, we have all the time we need UwU
sad
Its certainly doable now that you changed my mind lol
But would probably be the longest progression
No point in skills if you're only movement is rolling
You're bound to die a ton
I mean, you'd still need other skills for combat and gathering resources
You are gonna lose those skills one way or another
no running/walking and jumping doesn't mean no fighting π
also true π€π
wait, then it is actually the perfect way to try a no skills run... π since skills don't matter... hahah
Does anyone know where I can find a list of all the command line flags for the Valheim Linux binary?
Just found 5 Cultists together in a single room. Gave me zero trophies π€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ
gotta love the rng... π€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ
Only 5? I have two and a half stacks of celestial feathers (after crafting everything that needs them). No trophy. π
7 cultists in total in the frost cave. the game is trolling me at this point xD
our luck... π«
if i hadn't already gotten one in another game i'd be thinking valkyrie trophies don't exist
it's like the 10th frost cave I go to, and this one had 7. Didn't even have ulvs. Only cultists. and still, no trophy.
yeah that's just the RNGods laughing at you
if all else fails you can return the howling cavern chest to Hildir though since that raid has cultists too iirc
I've returned that chest already. even before starting to explore frost caves π because the howling cavern was very close to my Elder.
but i didn't have that raid yet. sadly
I feel so bad to tell you this but I jus got the trophy in my 2nd cave π
wait I got 2 of em too π
Iirc Valkyrie trophy has 5% drop chance.
On average, yeah
You're one lucky bastard if you happen to get 3 trophies in a row... oh wait im the lucky bastard
Bonus+ a 2star asksvin aswell
="" ) Well, I'm happy for you.
but actually, just out of curiosity, I went to check my other two characters that have been to the mountain, and they only got one trophy each, because they had the complete fenris set and no more trophies in chests. They probably just happened to get it faster. But i guess I've only got two or three cultist trophies in my entire experience with valheim ππ
Still no trophy, but I found a Tetra lake βοΈπ
Happens to the best of us sometimes π₯²
I don't wanna be a cheater but I think I'll just throw it into the ocean and console myself the iron back
Roll through π you will be fine
Oh its possible to not take the full damage when you roll?
Most damage sources wonβt hit you up to 0.56s after you start a roll
we were fighting moder and a 1 start ran up and we had 8 vines killing it and it ran away
fader*
What armor are you wearing
Root harnesk, carapace helmet and greaves with linen cape
Why not flametal armor instead of carapace? π€ +flametal cape or asksvin cape
The 2star will be doing over 50% more damage than a 1star to you, but they only spawn at night
I'm about to lose my hope on the cultist trophies... π π’
btw, just saw a random leech at the swamp that was outside the water. just randomly "walking" on the dirt.
kinda true but also misleading? If a one star did let's say 150 damage (before armor), then a 2 star would do 200. Not 225+
over 50% more final damage considering armor, not 50% more base damage
thats why I asked what armor was being worn
with full level 3 silver armor a 2-star fuling does almost 4x the damage of 0-star
Time to fight bone mass, I've been putting it off for too long
Same. To avoid all his raids really
He's a good one to fight on a first playthrough tho
Oh yeah bat raids dont do much, they are just annoying to deal with
annoyances are annoying
Especially if they happen every 30 minutes
not just that but they also take a a "raid slot" that could have been something useful (as in "drops useful stuff")
it's especially noticable in the Mistlands because aside from the seeker and Gjall raids (which end once you kill the Queen) skellies and bats is all you get outside of the hildir raids.
And both can be avoided by not killing Bonemass so you only get mistland raids and hildir raids there
At this point I'd welcome an arial raid, since my island base makes every other raid moot
same applies to wolf raids and the mountains so if you want to farm the howling cavern or sealed tower raids not killing bonemass and setting up a mountain base is a decent strategy
it's dead, that was easy
That's usually the issue with basing on a small island yea
I like the change in music, at least. But I DID build it to be safe from raids, so not really something I'd complain about lol
At least you probably have a decent supply of fenris claws for building now π
the funny part is, i didn't die in any cave (not even in the Howling cavern) And I died as soon as I killed the cultist that gave a Trophy. I feel like it was a necessary sacrifice π
π€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ I could probably start a shop of fenris hairs, claws, and red jute
bruuuuh The cultist that killed me after I got the first trophy, also dropped a trophy now πππ
Now I have two, from the same cave.
It was the last room of the last cave that I was going to do today. The quest for the cultist trophy has ended.
Its like the rng is making fun you and it was like "as a reward for going 20 caves, we will give you two"
I think my best cultist trophy rng was getting 2 from one cave, then another from the next cave I went in
Same i got like 2 on one cave
Honestly this would be my reaction aswell because what the hell 3 in a row
hello guys
There are times i hate morgen and lava blobs, but there are times i love those two, i have like 10 charred mobs 1 star archer and 1 star warrior, morgen, and lava blob. Literally let the lava blob explode to damage them, and let morgen do its rolling rolling to kill them π
I feel like I grinded more yesterday and today to have the cultist trophy than what I grinded to have iron. π these frost caves felt like an eternity. I had to go to several mountains.
But now I can finally go to the Plains with my fully upgraded Fenris set UwU
tbf they look like absolute psychos
well someone 3 bears i countered
legit
It varies a lot. I cleared 17 caves and 2 Hildir caves to get 450 Fenris hair. Two of the caves had only 1β3 Fenris. One of them had 7 Cultists and 3 trophies. Extremely unpredictable, just the way itβs supposed to be.
I guess... still, I was hoping to get at least one trophy soonish. And ended up getting two in a row in my 16th or 17th cave. don't even know how many i did. certainly between 15 and 20. One of them had 7 cultists, but not trophies. π€·ββοΈ
rng being rng
So I step out of the portal into the mine I'd cleared out in the Mistlands (no cores, but a 2* seeker), pack things up and head to the coast where my boat is. Of course it starts raining and thunder rolls in. I get to the boat, what do I see? Of course, a soldier. I grab my shield... well, I TRY to grab my shield... and realize I left it at home.
Bummer... I'm fairly well fed, but still on BM armor and weapons... So I had to rely on the one thing I'm really bad at... dodging.
Let's just say it was a close call. π
No shield no problem xD, use the rolling rolling powerπ
Yeah, well... If you're good at it... I'm not. I suck at dodge-rolling. π
I'm also bad at dodge-rolling, like i always miss time it and get smash in the face
Yep. That'll be me. π
Like a few mins ago against a 1 star charred warrior, i miss timed the dodge and the warrior took like half of my hp
so one thing to do RUN
Really hard in the Mistlands. π
During my stay in mistlands till i get the required stuff, i despised ticks
Ticks are easypeasy.
They see you rollin'... they hatin'...
Dat fugging two-star seeker on the other hand... π
Thats a different story
In my first infested mines, a 1 star seeker just 3 shotted me while having HHS foods
When you dont have high leveled shield, expect that 1 star seeker ram will knock you off
Yep. They can do that.
@near furnace wassapppppp is the release date public now?
Patience, young padawan. π
iv been waiting for agessssssssss.
Nope. You've waited at max five years. π
One thing im glad about is, good thing there is no seeker soldier that is like 1 star or 2 in all of infested mines i ran
But, seeker 1 star is always there
Yeah, so far I haven't encountered one myself in a mine.
yea i have
That's not ages. π
2 star brute...
So far in one of the mines, i encountered like 3 seekers that are 1 star
One-star seekers are fairly common in mines. Even two-star seekers are not that rare.
2 star tick about to end your carrer
trust me...
you dont see them before it is to late..
Yep, you need to roll these off quickly.
After i learned about ticks, with that point on im wearing full carapace armor with feathered cape, so i have no problems dealing with those
2 star..
Once I realized how to deal with them, I rarely have a problem with ticks any more. Thankfully.
they stun you every suck... then js repeat until you dont live..
2 star ticks never gotten close to me, because they are literally just 1 hit
Exactly.
I always run HHS even im familiar with mistlands, cause its never safe whereever you go
You can go plains feast, mountains feast, and wolf skewer and you're pretty well off.
Expect like a gjall or two in your exploration
Yep. Fire protection is a must.
I did plains feast, mountains feast and the lux pie
That's even better, but I have so much wolf meat. π
And it's cheap to make as well.
Yep
Now im in ashlands, im rocking with plains feast, piquant pie, roasted crust pie or spicy marmalade
Use the Mistlands feast. So much better. You can add a plains feast to that and some higher health food and you're set.
I rarely need to make stamina food anymore.
Feasts provide enough stamina.
Yeah I don't use stamina food. Usually go HHF
It's kinda sad how stamina is semi-useless now
Well, about that, i avoided queen for a while
Yeah, queen's a tough cookie.
Probadly when im on rolling on ashlands gears then ill take her out
I again realized the best strategy for me is lots of armor, lots of health, and a mistwalker.
π
Oh Mistwalker is the G
Absolutely.
It's really the best sword in the game.
You can rule Ashlands with Mistwalker.
Hinaryazan you better turn that blackmetal into ballista bolts
Oh yeah, good thinking, since i have my arenal with me
Idk why i farmed like almost 18 stocks of blackmetal and didnt bother using them after smelting
π
When I fought the queen she glitched out of her hive when she was down to half health and I had to fight her outside. There was a dvergr outpost nearby and they helped me with her spawns.
Thank god you didn't have the no boss portals setting on
Yeah, that must've been before the bug fix.
It was over a year ago during my first run. I can't remember when.
There was a bug while engaging queen?
Oh, that would be annoying to deal
Imagine as soon as you get out, a gjall was there while you were fighting the queen
Yep. But you can get help as well. π
Dvergr make for very good cannon fodder. π
Whenever i run to the dvergr and i was like "guys help me"
As long as you don't annoy them, they're a really good help.
Which can be a problem with Thundering NidhΓΆgg.
Yeah, there is one time i made them mad, when im destroying my cart it was in their ward range, so, its like its their cart and they're like "stop that" and just pour all their attacks on me
