You'd need to make a 1 h axe in the 6th biome but other than that i think you're fine? idk never thought about that
It's good but you'd be able to get high 30s in axes in a pretty short amount of time so you really wouldn't feel the difference in skill levels all that much
Is the 1h good
as weapons? not really
Fair thanks
But really, the game isn't hard enough to warrant using the BiS for everything so just play what you like
True
If this is your first playthrough, I'd recommend you at least touch a weapon class once and just see how it feels, be curious
How do axes fair vs bosses?
Awful?
Don't wanna spoil too much but || bonemass ||
Mace against bonemass is prolly best lol
So what about past bonemass for axes?
You'll do fine
Once again, there's better options, but you'll be able to clear all bosses with axes without much more struggle than the usual for players
No
Is axes good in mountain as weapon of would I be best sticking with knives?
Cough Iβm a bit biased.
Fair but still what's your answer come down to?
But yes, especially with the knives secondly being a liability in the mountains.
However, I used an atgeir when I was in the mountain stage.
Fair
In damage the crystal battle axe is worse then knives no? And won't the knife be quicker or am I not understanding?
Crystal battleaxe is one of my favorite weapons
Stunlocking cultists and fenrings is fun
FYI this guy asked for a Deep North development progress bar a few hours before leaving, sooooo I think he's one of those guys
Or he was disheartened by the massive amount of down votesβ¦. Weβll never know.
Random thought, it's kind of a bummer we couldn't make a fancier Staff of Embers with Magma Cores.
And the kings of all the realms bowed to the Viking Mage that held the Staff of Surtr, for with it they turned the mistlands into a dessert as an act of warning to all who thought to defy them.
The reason you want to stick with axes is because you can then carry a weapon that can also deal with trees. If you need to fight, just about anything else is better. There are exceptions to that.
Anyway, point is, theres no "tactical" advantages to axes.
there is in that its secondary is a downward vertical attack
the mace does a somewhat similar attack and I think is overall better for combat
I could be wrong, though. I havent done a deep analysis of the game.
Axe secondary is 1.5x damage, 1x staggering, and takes 2 seconds. Mace secondary is 2.5x damage, 2x staggering, and takes 1.72 seconds
I feel like the choice is easy then
Axe secondary is only good when stumps are hard to hit with the normal attack
ye, something the berserkir axe annoys me with.
I wish there was a regular flametal axe available
Don't worry, we have Jotun Pain.
Yeah, it actually has more chop power than blackmetal axe tho, but sadly the poison damage as it is currently makes it inferior in combat.
It looks cool too, but it would look better as a battleaxe IMO.
Never crafted an axe after blackmetal. No point since I fight with swords and the bm axe deals with any tree.
You can report them to @dusky pivot
No idea why their nationality is important.
I knew someone was going to say this. They literally told me they are from China. Their nationality is important because when they try to build a relationship with you in an effort to get you to (eventually) send them money, they have a convenient excuse for not knowing english very well. I hope that answers your question.
So if "AriaScott" from France contacts us, we're all good? Cool.
Successfully landed in the Ashlands. Kinda wish I didn't come here π
what are some good thing about keeping your base in the meadows as a late game player
Cosy environs, plus you don't need to move base. There's really no reason to do that anyway, you can have small outposts where necessary (plains to grow barley/flax and mistlands for shrooms) but there's really no reason to move everything unless you simply like the environment and want to build base in later biomes. Of course it is different if you run a no-portals world, that kinda has other requirements.
Less dangerous raids especially late game, near the sacrificial stones, less dangerous neutrally spawning enemies at daytime, chill biome
Ohyeah forgot about some raids not extending there
It's sad that the ||seeker|| raid doesn't happen there anymore.
To be fair once the queen is down you get nightly seeker "raids" anyway. Last night I had four separate gangs attack my base during the same night. And three fuling patrols...
didn't know that! im, got it just a couple times in a Plains farm but the raid pool was huge and i thought it was RNG
I still haven't had any charred raid on my home base, they regularly try to demolish my Ashlands outposts, but the lazy buggers haven bothered to cross the seas yet
It was back before PTB and back then it spawned also soldiers (1 or 2 limit at the same time iirc).
Some people complained and it was nerfed, but if that happened after getting world modifiers in game it probably wouldn't have been nerfed.
At some point they also nerfed Gjalls by changing them to shoot 1 fireball per shot, but it was reversed fortunately.
And seekers were more brutal before, they had Wolf AI on their attacks, now they have the circling AI.
i remember that one, didn't know about the raid, yeh raids are definitely part of the game, and now you can turn 'em off, so it would be nice if they're more difficult as the game progresses
Army raids shouldn't have biome restrictions IMO. Seekers can raid you even in Ashlands.
im i have some dear wooden bases i don't want to ruin estetically with ditches and fortifications... i just moved to another world and kept that one for "self nostalgia tourism"
uhm i'm egoistically happy about the mistlands-restricted Gjall one, that would be utterly destructive, even more if you like fire hazards modifier on
Ok, maybe that one as exception. Maybe making it permanent in Mistlands?
Although you can run outside of your base if Gjall (or anything) raided.
yup, that's a good trade (again egoistically
)
if the raid doesn't start with playerchar waking up, very frustrating and sometimes got trolls straight against ditches/walls
Heh, just a while ago I got a raid just before getting to bed and my character started sleep through a night time raid lol.
At least I had the rested buff.
And any food for stats you desire.
Those feasts alone allows you cast protection shield around you and play as melee otherwise.
That combo will be pretty good when you eventually enter Deep North when it's ready.
Nothing more than what is revealed in https://discord.com/channels/391142601740517377/1202150165449035816
We all are excited, but there is currently vacation period in Nordic countries.
I forgot, but how much does it cost to cast a shield bubble and does blood magic level play a role?
all my magic gears are just its default level
including the new staffs and embla set
60 Eitr.
oh damn that is pretty good
free protection bubble while playing melee
I might start carrying my staff of protection around
Yup. Quite good combo.
still the 2-h slayer sword still has a place in my heart
And higher skill lvl means reduction to eitr usage and stronger bubble.
anything that is big and high dmg I'll gladly take over anything else
I love greatswords
Does it also affect on how long the bubble last?
bc as of rn my current bubble last a minute
I've also leaned more into 2h weapons. 2h swords, battleaxes, dual axes, you name it.
Quality of the staff affects to it, not skill lvl.
Ah so ill probably max out my staff of protection
+1 min per quality for duration.
Hp sacrifice doesn't chance from quality (maybe reduces by the higher skill lvl iirc).
I get ya but what I mean is more duration = less times you gotta sacrifice a good chunk of hp
I might level up my other skills onces im done making my main bases
Hmm, true. Unless it breaks beforehand.
Skill lvl affects. 200 base + 5 per level to shield hp, up to +500 on lvl 100.
Good way of passively gaining exp as well
Having protection staff at all times
Actually only ways to gain XP for blood magic skill is when bubble breaks and when skeletts hit enemies.
Hi! Is there any information about when the combat update will be released?
Nope, latest word about it was "Not anytime soon" few weeks ago π
I would wait until the end of the Summer at least, hence what Asatru mentioned.
π
It's vacation period in Nordic countries.
What about the trollstav?
that requires blood
Doesent give you xp
Sad

Ateast its good for gathering resources and making the troll do work
Blood magic skill affects to the damage that trolls deal tho.
According to my testings.
https://i.imgur.com/G41LPI9.png whats better

you think it would be a powerplay if i just gifted valheim to my friends and demanded they play with me?
Well, you could ask them to play with you instead of demmand it π
I have asked and they are like "ew idk" same guys played multiple hours of Minecraft and Terraria with me π
Just show them one of these
and they should change their minds
i gotta mask the vegetables
Get new friends π
ill find the weakest link and force his hand
I like this kid
"Im only a neck after all."
-The neck probably
What shield is your favoite?
Buckler
Flametal shield. Love its size.
In general I prefer normal shields- more forgiving if you miss a parry, but you can parry and they don't slow you down as much as tower shields.
Buckler preferer here.
Battleaxe handle
The bigger one?
The round one, not tower since tower shields cannot be used for parries.
The banded shield because it's almost as good as the iron buckler but looks so much better
Reject shields. Embrace atgeir.
I think I've figured out Ashland mob spawning mechanics. Like other biomes, it's radius-based around the player in spaces not covered by player structures. But in Ashlands, instead of a single check being performed every few seconds, a mob spawning check is either done multiple times per few seconds or once per second. This causes them to spawn more rapidly and seemingly ignoring player structures, when they're actually spawning in the cracks of invalid spaces and outside of them rapidly.
Stupid phone mis-pinged mb
No worries.
The one thing more OP than elevation
I don't know for sure about the inner workings of spawning mechanics, but I do know I can't go 10 seconds without getting attacked in the Ashlands. The intended mechanic of pick & choose your battles doesn't work when there's going to be 5+ aggressive mobs where you're running to at all times.
Theres a ton of monument of torment especially inland
so your gonna get attacked alot
not to mention the 3 enemies that can attract more enemies by doing enviromental dmg
I destroy every last one of those stupid things, because I know the mobs have an insanely high perception range.
Nothing a fiery troll or a few root summons can't solve.
All mobs have the same perception range π and that is 0 basically, they get agroed by noise you make and that has variance of ranges depending what are you making noise with
so the forcefield stops rain, being wet and rain damage to buildings but campfires go out
what's the logic here
Itβs probably an oversight
well... it was added to the game a year ago
Even if it was unintented it probably won't be too high on their priority list for fixes.
wish we could dig tunnels
I somehow have a magic cauldron that requires no lit fire
I assume it is unintended since it doesn't make any sense. Question is if anyone has reported it before? If it's an easy fix like applying sheltered status to a fire within x meters of a running shield generators, it could be snuck in with any small patch. But I wouldn't expect them to deal with this kinda thing until they start with polish for 1.0.
I been trying to find a sea serpent for a couple days, always ran away from the previous ones and wanted to try fighting my first one, now doing a corpse run with no harpoon guess who shows up, what a jerk π
If it's a storm spawn, mark it on your map.
Once you got everything recovered, return with a harpoon and show that slithering snek who's the boss on that ocean.
oh he'll be in the same area?
Those who spawn during a storm won't despawn, so he'd be around that area you spot him, making it easier for you to find him if you mark it on the map.
Only night spawns do despawn, so no need to mark those at the map.
oh cool, thanks for the info that's really useful
is there much of a worth or value in making tasty mead? i feel like the cost to get ten seconds of double stamina regen pales when compared to things like waiting a few seconds with rested
Its great in middle of the fights and you can use it on top of stamina mead π
- it stacks with the rested buff
Its meant to be an emergency consumable
Its almost like a stamina potion but you dont have a cooldown π
So what's causing the mobs to aggro to players so easily are the lava blobs and morgrens causing environmental damage. It still doesn't explain why there are mobs spawning rapidly every few meters.
you CAN use it on top of stamina mead?
was it lingering mead that prevented using tasty mead?
Get crunk.
That happens because the number of spawn points are much higher in the Ashlands as in other biomes.
I do hope you destroy the charred spawn points the moment you can?
Mead's mead. Hence the term, "Get crunk." for drinking multiple meads.
Nope, lingering just prevents mead of the same type, so lingering stamina prevents small and medium for example. But tasty Is only one of Its type so you can use it with any other π
ahh, I that should be made clear on the wiki then
while not called a stamina mead I assumed it's one anyway
While active, it prevents the consumption of all types of stamina meads.
I destroy every last vile monument. If it means just a few more moments of peace, I'll go out of my way to destroy them all.
Isnt it? I don't check meads very often there.
Hmm, might be good to test just to be sure, but i am fairly certain you can use it with stam mead
A 2-min cooldown is applied preventing consumption of another stamina mead.
for the non-lingering meads
Well what are you waiting for? Hop in your world and test it.
it's 1am and I should be off to bed
No bed. Get crunk.
Same and i already am xD
But yeah, the 2 min cooldown Is for meads od the same type ( i assume thats from the lingering page?) so Tasty works with it just fine as it Is another type π
Suckers I stayed up all morning playing valheim

Yeah my current issue with Ashlands is Askvin bonking me off screen I to lava and or getting so absolutely focused on all the everything else, that lava blobs hopping at me from off screen are also...
But that Tast mead knowledge is huge!
But i would bet you didn't go help with making a house foundation, handball practice and partying until 3am and drinking roughly 15 beers and unspecified number od shots yesterday, all of that on only 2.5 hours of sleep the previous night π
π
I really am going to get some rest tonight at least π
What if we find potatoes in the Deep North for making vodka?
Then we would need a destilation setup to go with it π
Stronger versions of mead, makes your vision blurry.
How would that be useful? More health or stamina wonβt help if you canβt see anything.
More of effect meads. Same movement, with a bit of blur.
I rather have no mead than have my vision blurred
That does offer a thought, though. Asatru did mention a distillation setup. Vodka for brewing, a crafting station for mixing meads together with vodka as the base, no blur. Is vodka lore-friendly, though?
blurry vision and they add achievement if you maintain the buff for your entire playthrough π
Achievement? What's that?
they can only earned with blurry vision, so we need vodka in game first
There's still the question of if it's lore-friendly.
just got my first kill of the plains boss wooo
Speed still goes to the finest full set of fenris armour with the potion of ratatotsk and asksvin cape, and fader ability
does moder work with askvin cape?
I think moder requires the sail
but they are reworking boss powers, so we could see that in the future
I'd rather boss powers be permanent passive buffs, albeit weaker.
I rarely use the boss abilities, mainly just the queens ability and the flying ice lizard dudes sailing ability hahah the rest are mediocre at best
Is there a channel to find other people to play with?
The 1st boss ability came in handy so I won't rule that out
exactly, I used eikthyr when I was pulling a cart through the dark forest but that was it
eikthyr is also good for mining
Bonemass power "mediocrene"? You don't hear that often.
Hahah everyone a thug till they pulling a cart loaded with iron
to keep stamina up
Bonemass ability is OK, not really the ability I need for my guy, time the blocking right and move strategically and your good
there is some build where bonemass compensates for weakness, forget how it goes
I don't doubt it, heaps going on in this game
Currently using the Queen ability so I can stay the heck away from those ashlands dudes and attack with the ice staff
400 carried bolts help a bit too hahah
Charred*
Also I accidentally duped my whole inventory some how π€£ not complaining tho hahaha
Is everyone here running US servers? Any Aussies here?
I have one, NA west, so prolly 100ping, maybe a little higher
I'd say most are in Europe. But you can check in #1024264966712340510
Keen to join up with someone, expand my perception on valheim a little
HELLO everyone ! Mind letting me and my 3 other friends join you guys in your 24/7 servers? π¦
go for it
How many people can join one server?
is there a server that we join in to ?
Bob Vance, Vance refrigeration
there are many here https://discord.com/channels/391142601740517377/1024264966712340510 you may also have some luck searching "pw" or "pass" in the in-game community tab
You guys are on console right?
that was odd, I just got timed out
I'd say most people are not on console, no.
is there a way to pause a server similarly to how you would in singleplayer? maybe via a command or anything? if not, is there a mod that allows that?
The world pauses when there are no players in it.
Other than that, you might need a mod. Check in #mods-discussion about that.
You could use commands to stop time. I can't remember what it is but I recall seeing a tick speed command.
does anyone know if the developers plan on fixing the Ocean at all? I mean as it stands, more than half the time I'm sailing in the ocean, its telling me I'm in places like the Black Forest or Meadows or Plains, but I'm clearly in the middle of the Ocean..
Fixing what? It's not broken.
Hm.. So if I'm in the dead center of the ocean with no land in sight, and it's telling me I'm in the Meadows, that's a planned feature of the game?
Yes, the land is there, just under the water. The entire map has a land biome, but the game determines an area is Ocean based on the depth of the water at that location.
heh...
In that case, I feel like they could do better.. I even thought there was supposed to be a whole Oceania update. So much could be done with the Ocean in general
Of all the things that you might want "fixed" in the current game that really has to be the most minor.
Hello guys, I'm new at this server
I just want know to if someone has a server with a group that I could join
Yeah and all of these minor things that I want "fixed" all add up to a better game instead of "whoaaa, its the next biome unlocked!"
besides, Vikings are most known for their seamanship and exploration, and theres tons of water.
@hoary mirage all "shallows" are attributed to a biome
yep, that was discussed already π
Any leaks on DN yet?
in my experience ice/desert biomes always suck
hey mate cant join my server it says he is banned anyone know why?
he is on the permitted list and admin list
we are playing modded anyone that can help would be much appricated
Ah man I love coffee in my coffee hole
Not besides what we post in #news
Was Lord Reto supposed to be hard? I kinda sent my skeletts at him while lobbing vine spells. He could barely do much at all as he was pummeled to death.
@near furnace I was hoping you could confirm something for me. Do you know if it is guaranteed in multiplayer, that a summoned Skelett is always owned (simulated) by the summoner instead of the current zone owner?
Nvm
Should be the summoner iirc. But you don't need to ping Smiffe for asking that.
yo im looking to start a new game as a complete noob with ppl. who wants to play?
50% discount for valheim
me
how old r u?
I thought pinging Smiffe was okey, is it not?
16 does this matter
Most of us regulars can answer to most of the questions about the game. And to add, Smiffe is currently on vacation so I wouldn't ping him rn.
It is as long as you know I won't reply until I open discord. Now working atm π
got a mic right?
yeah
Sure, I wasn't expecting an immediate reply π
But it's not relevant anymore anyway, so just ignore my question
ingame mic?
After thinking a bit, I think the queen is the best boss for leveling up your skill second being bonemass
The queen can be spawned an unlimited amount of times its just that grinding the seeker soldier trophies are a pain
Ofc theres always the afk farms
But she's constantly teleporting away so you aren't hitting her as frequently as you would with other bosses
does she dig away more when shes like half hp or even just having full hp?
She can dig at 90-0% health. The frequency doesn't change as her health decreases.
For me atleast shes just the perfect boss to practice weapons its not for everyone to constantly fight a boss
Only fader has attacks that become more frequent with lower health
other bosses die too quickly, except yagluth and fader
Attacks that are unlocked/changed with different health values wasn't even a feature until the queen was implemented
to be honest i am sure about yagluths attacks gets more frequent when he is lower health maybe it was changed later than yagluth first release
Yagluth always has the same set of attacks available. Fader unlocks 'intense' variants that have a reduced cooldown when he reaches certain health thresholds.
hmm maybe i dont know the meaning of frequent
The attack has a shorter cooldown so it can be used more often
is that mean more variation or more attacks per time
But nothing about yagluth changes with lower health
it could have been changed later
yeah he is attacking faster when his health drops low
i just killed yagluth one or two weak ago again
What's the best way to kill the big dog in ashlands? The dude is a damage sponge hahah
Asksvins?
Nah the BIG dog
Morgens?
hahahahahahah big dog
that was a rememberable one
Iolite weapons work well since you can clear his groups of summons easily and they have high overall damage
anyway i have to go bb everyone
Currently the best I can do is avoid him and light him up with the Frost staff, doing almost no damage tho then his meteor strikes wiped out my portal hahaha
If you're using magic the trollstav can help a lot to distract him
I feel like I've skipped a few steps tho, I should he way stronger than I am I feel
Carapace is still my best armour
You should have flametal available for heavy armor, or the ask set for light armor
Nah no flametal, I picked some up but never got any armour recipes
The cathedrals were pretty brutal
You should get the recipes for smelting it, not picking it up
Lmao as if I didn't try n smelt it
Thanks dude, I knew what I have right now isn't gonna cut it
It's a mistake someone else made earlier
Bro do you realise how long it took to make the bells and summon this dude?! Like 5 hours man
What's another day
But mire than 5 hours tbh, more like 9
I've just tested it and it's not happening
Go hybrid, going full mage and melee also works
But I found that going hybrid with mage+melee is good
Cheers, old mate just told me I gotta smelt some flametal, for some better gear, close combat is suicide rn
You can down a mistland feast, a eitr food and other food of choice, sta or hea food
If you previously made a root harnesk or have materials to make one, bring it with you. All of Fader's melee attacks only deal pierce damage.
I got spicy marmalade and 2 eitr rich meals, magic is on like 180 roughly and stamina around the same while health is about 160
I had full maxed out flametal armour
If you have a staff of protection you don't need to worry about health
went full melee on fader
For real? Even them meteors and faders green fire? Cause that shit stings
I got the staff on lvl 3 or 4
the staff of protect will absorb all in coming dmg
You should be able to dodge those fairly easily with mage armor. You could bring lightfoot mead (only if you also have feather cape or you take fall damage) and tonic of ratatosk for some extra movement.
Damn ok I better keep onto that
once you defeat fader you get access to possibly the best food combination for all class
2 feast and one food of choice
That's only good if you want to use eitr
Nice! Seems I've still got some recipes to learn hahah gotta sail back home cause kujo blew up everything π
I always eat them bc of how insanely good the stats are for the cost
both the mistland and ashlands feast are extremely cheap to make
the only time id only eat the ashland feast is when im going full magic but still the extra health and stamina is really good
Bro I got 2 black metal chests full of meals hahah gotta have them stats lol
Isn't it also very dependant on your blood magic level? If you're level is low it's probably gonna constantly insta-break in a boss fight
Bosses will often break it instantly because of the pickaxe and chop damage types that their attacks usually have, even with high blood magic skill
Aye a lot of their attacks would, still I'd aim to get that skill up a bit before using it in such a fight. I wanna do all the boss fights with just summons for the kek
most of the time bosses will instantly break it especially the queen and fader because of their high pick and axe dmg
Its meant to be a get out of danger free card
basically a safety net
Aye well I mean it's very helpful to have it leveled up a bit to absorb more of all the area attacks and additional spawns. Often times the boss isn't the hardest part of the fight π₯²
Truly is
Real tho, considering how mad people got about the feather cape adjustments I really wonder how nerfing bonemass or harnesk will go

Personally wouldnt mind imo slight changes to bonemass and buffs to others could work
need to ask before i fight moder but do frost defense effects stack, like frost mead and such
I didnt see no difference in the feather cape because when I got there the weak to fire was already a thing
because it was my first time
plus its like a small change, you're still getting the benefit of no fall dmg and gliding and only one enemy in the mistlands to ruin your day
just be prepared, chug some of your fire res potion, and maybe take advantage of the Iframes of the roll
no
Nope, Cape and mead provide the exact same resistance and it doesent stack π
ok i see
Goood... Let the rage begin.
omg is that the real scales
Catapult? I did the same with a Mistwalker.
SCALES NO LAUGH

It's strange, but I'm oddly curious what cooked serpent and bonemaw meat taste like. They're absolutely massive. I should be thankful we can't build toilets because of the resulting damage they'd suffer.
Reload backup save.
Catapult yourself into the lava and save it
Another reason to never engage with siege machines
too late for that
There should be more backups than one.
we live and die by our own faults
that includes yeeting your precious lolite slayer into the lava
Hey is anyone here that whould like to play valheim with me (I'm new)
Look no further than #1024264966712340510 π
Is valheim cross platform? Iβm on Xbox is it possible to play with my friends on PC
Yep π if they are hosting the world they need to enable crossplay option, if you are hosting then you already have crossplay enabled.
Thank you so much
Thank you
Hello everyone, where can i find server code or launcher?
Invite code or IP from the server host, and you can launch it like any other game from your device
wait a sec is this dis.serv do not have just one server with mods for everyone?
I think you might be misunderstanding- there are no official servers π€
All valheim servers are player hosted/operated
oh
i got it thanks
couple years ago i was playing on serv that made one guy. Serv was working 24/7 and he was host. I left game for some time and was trying to find kind same serv or something like that
Also it is designed as a singleplayer game in the first place, with the option to play with friends if you want to π
i booted up my old world to see what i was doing, and i forgot how cursed my house was
at some point i learned that you can hold shift to put boatsβ’ on land, so i got 2 rafts just chilling on top of my abode
I have such a server. What level are you looking for?
Normal or hard
I've been running on a vanilla server alone with a new character. I'm getting ready to fight Bonemass. I also have a vanilla server with crossplay that is completely new.
I wonder if the ocean biome will ever receive an expansion? Could be a fun time to add seaweed. Or rum ingredients. Cinnamon. Sea-nnamon? Mmm rum. Or is mead enough? What IS under all that water?
We will have to wait and see π
And nothing is there, ocean is just a plane/sheet that has a movement to it basically
Tbh the biome is pretty bland. Just some serpents, fish, and leviathans. It could be nice to see more life breathed into it.
Well it is basically meant as a way to travel between other biomes afaik. But i agree it would be nice if it had a bit more stuff in it π
Fuling Pirates.
Another thought is your ship getting destroyed and it basically being a death sentence. I wonder how viable it would be for the player to simply get sent back to the last bit of land they were on after nearly dying in the water with no food buffs and 1 health? Ocean-exclusive.
The poor guy whose first world has no elder spawns within 5000m of the starting spawn:
Its not that bad, you loose nothing except skills on death anyway, your stuff waits on you whereever you died π
Shower-thought. Troll pirates. Massive ship. Ocean dungeons.
The ships would be the dungeons.
The troll pirates would need something with more brains and less hair below the waist telling them what to do because, like, trolls
Can we loot their stock of sugar and spices to make Troll Cake? People keep telling me trolls have great cake, but I can't find it. π°
Okay, I stand corrected. That sounds pretty awesome.
Is this cake a lie, too? Does it not exist? I was promised delicious cake. π¦
What cake?
It probably tastes about as good as the troll bait.
I wish we could eat trolls. So much meat.
We already have bukeperries
You don't think bukeperries grow on moss, do you?
I was thinking about Ocean being flat. If they sold a headpiece that allowed diving it's not flat anymore.
How would that even work? A cosmetic won't change the game engine?
You can already dive by jumping into water from a high place
I've gotten my iron nails back that way.
The Ocean isn't exactly flat. Out of curiosity, I flew off the edge of the map and then into the side of the pushing waterfall that borders the map and zoomed around a bit at the Ocean floor. There's deeper parts, but it's all, much like the Deep North atm, empty save for a boulder here and there.
I'd love to see an Ocean biome update, with more enemies than just serpents.
The Ocean is most assuredly a simple flat plane.
Have you tamed asksvin?
Works pretty much exactly the same as taming any other animal, what do you need helping with? π
thats one of the things on my bucket list back when i wasn't burnt out of the game, have still yet to do that.
i am thinking perhaps i will speedrun to the ashlands with my friends in a new playthrough if the deep north is released before we all pass away
Maybe a ghost ship shipwreck in the sea, with skeletons as the crew? No idea what could be rewarded, we arent too far in the game but i though of this going through the meadows caves
I love valheim
meadows cave?
Idk the crypts or whatever that has some skeletons in it
burial chambers
Steam says I have 3000+ hours into this game - I think some of that is early AFAK hosting time - but I think it would take me a minimum of 40 hrs to speedrun Ashlands. Just prepping for the journey to Ashlands is a solid 1/5 of the time.
Like if I did pure focused effort, no silly side quests (lol as if) or distractions, maybe 30 hours
If there are any Turkish players playing, feel free to send a message.
omg that would be a sick raid event for the ocean, they chase you down and try to board your ship
Gods below, the Ashen cape is awesome but that collar... I'm going back to the feather cape for now, that stupid underbite collar looks too stupid even for me, can't stand it.
its cool
How do I make it so mobs stop spawning around/in my base?
place down either workbenches, a ward, or torches
Campfires work too
They should stop spawns within a 20m radius
If they aren't working, workbenches won't be any different
Is there any way they could be getting in from outside?
I see, guess its the range then. Ill expand more torches out more
I built a pretty big castle in the mountains and drakes/wolfs keep spawning around the place
Thanks
If you're placing them in a grid, you'll need to place them closer than 20m apart because the range is circular
Anyone got a lead on seom fresh, dedicated, slow moving servers with no mods? Older player here
Am i just really unlucky or did the game bug out? after clearing the entirety of a infested mine, hidden doors and all, i found 1 sealbreaker fragment and 0 black cores
That's probably bad luck
hi, which channel i can as about lag issue in game?
Help channels, like https://discord.com/channels/391142601740517377/1202549675924787220 if you're on Steam.
thank u ^^
Is there anyone on xbox who has a server going?
Ah, I love coffee in my coffee hole!
amen
#screenshots message eheh this is funny if you think that traditionally mean kids get coal under the Christmas tree
Man.. Ashlands is brutal
i recount it rather foundly for the most part
except for my very first landing, that sucked ass.
Hey there
Iβd recommend using something with a visible radius like a crafting station
It makes it much easier to see if you covered everything properly or if there are small gaps where stuff can spawn
Heeelloooo π
Yes
Yes it is π
Iβm not sure what we were expecting really
Did you see the animated trailer? π
No.. link?
Hi peeps. Long time no see (about a year). So do we get an update this year, or should I come back next year?
What I have heard, early 2026
sigh ...
No date or period has been given.
I was hopping for a late summer, autumn update .. but oh well ...
Well, we might get the combat one then. But I presume you're talking about Deep North / 1.0
mechanics updates/improvements are always nice, but I was hopping for a content update, yes
Very cool π₯°
You can find it by searching for irongateβs YouTube channel as well
Xbox player here looking to join a server.
Look no further than #1024264966712340510 π
Geez thx again!
True tho. I even had to turn my death penalty down to casual cos I knew by the time I got the hang of it my skills would have been reduced to atoms
Does anyone have a gif of a valheim troll doing the fortnite dance
It's highly important
No, and no
They are really fun to use π you just have to be careful not to get absorbed into slashing away at enemies so much that you forget to check your hp.
Yes I love the thunder ones
Is there 2?
In total 4 types you can have π (1 basic and 3 modified versions of it)
its the "you must do enough damage to stagger them" weapons
because if you dont stagger them you're getting hit no matter what
π€·ββοΈ
its especially true in the ashlands, morgens, valkyries, 1* warrior, 1* asksvin cant be staggered just by doing a melee combo you gotta parry them
the morgen is an exception bc if RNjesus is with you, the lightning can damage them enough to stagger mid combo
π€
Whats the best stone for a slayer? I usually run 2 hp foods and 1 feast and i play solo, would a bloodstone be the best?
If you have low hp at all times, then yes, blood slayer would be best, but if you usually have full or near full hp then i would say lightning enchantment.
Ty i'll check my hp when i get there
The blood enchantments simply shine the most when you run more than 1 hp food and you voluntarily have your hp somewhat depleted
Im still in plains tier but i cant wait to try 2h swords
First one is already in mistlands π so you will not have to wait long
Yeah, i think gonna cheat abit and check the map online for yagluth's summon
Usually sailing around edges of plains is enough to spot the altar itself π
Thoughts about The Ripper weapon? (Arrow)
Ripper uses bolts π€
Oh I'm sorry. Have you tried it?
Not much, i prefer bows personally π
Works same as Arbalest, deals more damage. Can be ||crafted with gems||.
HAHAHA I JUST SAW ONE OF MY ASKSVIN TAKE A LEAP OF FAITH OFF THE MOUNTAINS
launched itself mid-air
anyone here have a pic of how big the mouse pad large extended is?
The dimensions are on the e-shop i believe π€
Yep, 90 x 40 cm (or 35" x 16")
I know structures generally don't have a description in the build menu, but I lowkey want to see the description for the Catapult to be, "Pull the lever, viking!"
#suggestions are open π
Would be a good name for an achievement π€
how long does it take for vineberries to regrow its berries?
yoo anyone here from SouthAfrica ?
Should be 3 hours and 20 minutes.
non have regrown
They were always kinda buggy, i usually just scavange for them
hm
If Iβm remembering right, theyβre bugged and basically reset their growth upon logging off.
Iirc it had something to do with unloading/reloading area where they are
so basically it like hatching eggs lol, it resets
Eggs dont reset tho
At least not by reloading the area
Oh like when eggs lose warmth their timer resets? Haha kinda I suppose!
Or like how you can take power naps by repeatedly teleporting between a database and a lake ||I know that's not how databases work but just bear with me for the funnies||
Cross entire oceans that way
Are you allowed to post pictures here?
You can post screenshots of the game in #screenshots π
is it just me or items dropped in the ashlands dont despawn
like these grausten piles are still not despawning
Should despawn after irl hour, if there is not any player base item around
these grausten have been like out here for like 3 ingame days
Did you sleep in that time?
Then it might not be irl hour yet π
Day in valheim is 30 minutes but you can go to sleep at noon to skip roughly 20-something minutes
ok yeah items are not despawning for me
this asksvin trophy that I threw like awhile ago aint despawning
Are there any player base items nearby
So no rogue campfire, torch, portal, workbench or dvergr ward in vicinity?
nope nothing
yeah confirmed items aint despawning, currently doing a foraging session and these graustens are not despawning
Weird, always despawned for me
most of these items aswell are near fiddleheads and smokepuff
You could try to refer this to #steam-bugs-discussion π€
@light moat too make matters worst
you wanna know what happened after that asksvin incident?
a fallen damn valkyrie got involved π
Of course, because what better monster to attack your Asksvin hoard than that
boating is fun
crank up your graphics for maximum great view
only my vegetation and shadows are on medium lol
Oof! That feel when two things you wanna fight 1v1 both get on ya!
thats not the problem
it attacked while I was butchering my asksvins
Ohhh that bat screen shot
Bat raids in the ashlands are kinda funny. Seeing the undead hoard swat at the stragglers after. Like seeing them swing and miss something its about 100 times stronger than XD
Nope.
Sorry, no embedded gifs in here π Makes it hard to converse.
Whenever I go sailing with my friend I put on Orinoco Flow by Enya on a music bot
Not Rod Steward?
Or is that when you're sailing home again?
Immigrant Song by Zep for me
when do you guys think that combat update will come out?
We really have no idea, i would bet it will be before end of the year but it is pure speculation from my side.
I agree, I suspect Q4 of 2025 π€
is there any brasilian to play a game from the beggining ?
I kinda wanna play with a bunch of people when deep north comes out
Eh the slight lag in multiplayer turns me off
go range
Iβd rather play the game π
So far the only biome in the game that doesnt offer any new kinds of animals are the swamp and blackforest
Solo gamer chad
Im thinking, deep north is gonna have icebergs
it allows even normal ships to enter but the icebergs are environmental hazard that deal alot of damage to boats
i can see that happening
I still think it would've been much cooler to use the drakkar as a batter ram to break the spires in the ashlands water
Rather than slog through the ashlands ocean
You donβt consider the leech to be the βanimalβ of the swamp? π€
Greydwarfs are basically animals
Surtlings.
greydwarfs are basically annoying AF
Hmm, I know its sub-optimal... but I think I'd rather have the unenchanted Ripper at level 3 for the extra durability than a stoned one at level 2... hmm Hard to say atm as I only have 1 stone, a jade that I'm opting to make into a staff of nature.
And My first ruby will go to upgrading the forge
i haven't made it to ashlands yet. I've made it as far as plains before
I prefer raw weapons personally. I like the look of them, and I find it interesting that they have extra durability
it may take me a bit longer to get back to plains because I'm pretty sure the mountain I found is a dead end
when is deep north supposed to release?
later.
We donβt have a date yet, but itβs likely still a good ways out. The next update will be the combat update. We donβt know when that will release either
I've heard that magic is OP, and I tried it on my 2nd playthrough, but I really just don't see it. It eats away at your stamina bar (no need for health if you spam shields) and often it takes 1-2 full bars of etir to kill an opponent, so it's slower and weaker.
Is it's whole thing that it's non-peirce ranged damage, so it's safer? Or is it how it bisects your stamina bar and makes managing it easier? I seriously don't get it, am I using it wrong?
.
The method I found is to always keep a bubble up, .maybe get sacrificial skellies before a hard fight, and spam fireballs until the enemy is in your face, then hold S and use the ice staff, after the mandatory 30 sec wait, ofc.
ruby does not upgrade the forge unless thats some sort of mod thing
It will release after the combat update, which we also don't know when that is coming, general consensus is 2026
nothing really confirmed about release date though, will be in #news when we know
Never got that far. I think the root armor and huntsman bow are OP enough for me right now since I'm one hit sniping drakes from the base of the mountain to the top with wood arrows
agree, huntsmen bow is best sniper bow in the game because it creates less noise then any other bow, root harnesk is only armour piece that gives pierce resistance (shield is not an armour piece and needs to be active to work) and also the pierce damage is very common in a lot of biomes
I still don't even have permanent first resistance yet, I guess there are three options. Wolf cape, lox cape, or the Fenris armor
yeah the mead is kinda annoying, better to use one of the other things if you spending longer time there
Yeah, can't seem to get the last piece for the wolf cape. I may see how that huntsman setup works on a lox
The mountain I found though only has one cave, not enough hair for a Fenris part. I may have to go look for a bigger one
I killed lox with finewood bow level 2 a few days ago haha
well I mean yes
Its an animal but I wish there was something that you can tame
in the biomes
technically black forest and swamp dont have tames
taming deer and leeches would be OP
Bloodstone does
https://valheim.fandom.com/wiki/Ruby Gem cutter uses blood stone not ruby
Yes, I wanted to clarify, I could maybe have done it better π
now i feel like i need to look up how much rubies and the other ones sell for, ruby is best apart from the necklace I think in terms of coin
access to medium healing potions and later blood bags used for blood pudding
but once you get in the mistlands both of them become obsolete because of better options
yeah but used for a long time on slow progression server
major healing
salad or egg omelette
They do become an issue when people are literally chowing down on plains tier food
but onion soup is always there
onion soup and salad are goat
very cheap to cook
and both are farmable
just the cloudberries you gotta do some foraging runs
cloudberries is easiest forage in the game imo
straight up in abundance
you go right cloudberries theres, you go left cloudberries there
even having a plains base with a patch is often enough for a solo
literally everywhere
Yeah but if you plan to mass produce lingering sta potion, you best be farming alot of jotun puff and cloudberries
Farm all the goodies π₯°
always be hustlin
do battleaxes have really good parry or something?
They're below average at everything (parrying, attacking, cutting wood), but the fact that they can do all three will save you some inventory slots.
Well they're really good for wood cutting if you can hit 2 trees or more
i'm trying to think of which weapon i want to go with for the mountain biome, I used a mace out of necessity in the swamp
I use battleaxe for swamp
i'm past the swamp though and looking at crystal/silver type stuff
i do a lot of parrying and dodge rolling
does that crystal battleaxe cut trees better than the regular iron axe?
If it can hit 2 or more trees yes
Sounds like its good for wood farms
more specifically those tree farms that are closed together
Yup
I remember being able to get 2 carts of wood in 20 min with the battleaxe + tree farm
this games great
Battleaxe is amazing
i remember trying it a long while ago and wasn't impressed
been doing a new solo run recently so eventually gonna give it a revisit
its probably really hard to get
i mean only from stone golems? no way thats an easy item to get
i remember someone here was upset that it wasn't always available. biome gaps or something, but i don't remember when ur usually able to obtain one
Battleaxe fits a very specific playstyle as you donβt have any real defence to speak of, and the main attack is soooooo sloooooooow
You have to focus on that secondary poke which has a high knockback and stagger for most fights, then try and use the main attack for hitting multiple enemies that are funnelled in your direction like in a dungeon, or if you manage to corner another mob and stagger them for a nice payoff in damage
Yeah, I also like that specific playstyle. In right hands it dominates masses: #memes-and-clips message
Tried to go to the ashlands for the first time yesterday
Without beating the queen :/
How is it going for everyone?
We're you able to recover your stuff? π¬
It was a local game so my brother just used dev commands to teleport there, gave everyone their stuff back
We were not particularly impressed with that game design choice
You don't like having to complete a boss before moving onto the next biome?
Completing the boss is fine
Getting murdered by an unforeseen obstacle at sea for trying to explore, not so much
If you would have killed the boss you would get a BIG clue that you need something new to get there π
When you noticed the boat getting damaged by water why keep going deeper?
I think most bosses unlock the next biome so I can't really agree it's "unforeseen" but I get your annoyance.
It's also the oldest form of lineation.
Game is meant to have linear progression.
My first sea serpent says hello π
I always remember that one meme where you get riddled full of arrows for being in a biome you should visit just yet π€
Fairly Valheim accurate
I know that meme.
Getting to new area, then immediately got impaled by one arrow/spear and near dead (2 or 3 HP left) then the volley of arrows following up while the character says they shouldn't be there. Right?
I remember going from mountains to plains without much ceremony
Dragon tears are necessary for progression but only for equipment
A straight up βif you go here you dieβ type mechanism is vastly different from simply not being able to see in the mistlands
Itβs makes complete sense to me
As Joel said, you had chance to turn around when your boat started to take dmg, you didnt have to die at all
π€·ββοΈ
What about when you first went into the mountains and started to die?
I mean, what happened happened, its over already, but following the intended progression and not skipping bosses might be in order next time π
Hey everyone
I just had to backpedal a few steps to not freeze bruh
Thatβs the one π
But it's pretty much the exact same mechanic you're having an issue with.
But this was at sea
Ah. The implication.
You normally have enough time to get out a dodge if you arenβt sailing directly into those bloody Grausten ocean pillars
Itβs an open world game, I was hunting fuhlings while I was still in the swamp
Then you have to accept unforseen circumstances π
But since you said you were trying to get into the Ashlands Iβm guessing you went straight in then noticed the damage π
Backpedaling on a boat isnβt so easy
Doesent matter, you go to area where you/your boat takes dmg from enviroment, if you backpedalled then, why not now? π
There was a big bone serpent thing spitting fireballs too
Can't wait what kind of environmental effect will be at Deep North, but IMO it should need the ||Drakkar||.
Chunked my boat instantly,
Those guys are the welcoming party.
Another reason to go kill the boss first xD
Itβs not very intuitive at all
Disagree.
Ah.
Manβs really just jumped straight into the deepest end imaginable π
The linear progression of the game is somehow unintuitive by the penultimate biome?
It really is π "go kill the boss before going to the next biome" that is what you learn aaaaall the way from start of the game
βTo build a stronger boat for the boiling water and fire serpents you donβt know about, you have to kill the bug queenβ
Manβs not listening to Hugin I think
Hugin didnβt talk to me until after I died
Justseeking validation, I'd say. Nothing wrong with it.
Sadly there is not much of it that can be given
The game doesnβt handhold like that
It just tells you in the dark forest that you shouldnβt be there unless you kill the right boss
It expects you to figure it out after
Like I said, I was killing fuhlings when I was still in the swamp
Lol
I think I've lost the plot on all counts. You all have a good one.
I'm just trying not to pile on at this point.
Which is possible but harder with gear from 3rd biome against 5th biome enemies.
Same as it is possible, but harder, to get to ashlands without the propper equipment
Tbh the boiling water is one thing
But the bone wyrmβs attack does damage that the longship isnβt meant to take
That is correct π
So while we were maneuvering to avoid getting hit again
The boiling finished us off almost instantly
And then we wouldnβt have been able to get all our gear back until we went to the effort of making new gear to fight the queen
If we didnβt have cheats it would have been such a sour occasion
What's the plan now?
FAFOing has it's consequences.
Fight the queen, obviously
Obviously.
Going near the plains or mistlands wasnβt anywhere near the same level of FAFO
At least there you can run back and skidaddle with your gear
If you know what you're doing then it's fine to make small visits in biomes further.
Going blind is not usually a good idea.
I can imagine π
Itβs the one thing I can say that you learn in Valheim:
preparation, preparation, preparation!
Going somewhere new?
Prep a portal and portable base materials
Exploring a new biome?
You are going to die - good luck, have fun, make extra gear cause there is no βjust incaseβ π
Rather over prep than under prep for this game
Anything involving water in this game is a pain π
Aye true that
Man there is some novelty in running from seekers and fuhlings when underprepared
I still remember when my friend and I were crossing an ocean for the first time - we made it over for the first trip 100%, but trying to sail back we hit a storm and a serpent who upended our karve π€£
RIP sanity and will to live π
That novelty was absent when our boat got chunked by a bone wyrm, we didnβt even get to see the ashlands
The only escape would have been to try and climb onto one of those pillars then portal back homeβ¦.
You did bring a portal with you right
YES
Iβve got like 300+ hours on the game Iβm not stupid
We wanted Normandy not the Lusitania
Aw damnβ¦.
Iβm guessing you were just to far away to escape onto one
You can actually make your whole trip into the Ashlands over the boiling sea without having to sail if you donβt mind playing a buildathon
All good then π₯
do you guys think they'll add armor slots to tb inventory?
Like dedicated slots?
Why add armor slots specifically instead of slots for everything (which we don't need more of)?
Cuz it frees up the the slots you already have?
Which is what more slots for everything would do. No need to add systems for armor slots.
I feel like it would open up more spots for important items or resources. Later in the game those slots are important
I do find my inventory feeling crowded by armor, makes me second guess experimentation with the magic set
Having dedicated slots is just limiting. The current system is fine.
Iβve said too much
Telling you where things can go? Rather than just putting them where you want? That's limiting.
But you're gonna have the armor regardless?
Anyone else have problems with lag and sound lag in Ashlands?
Exactly.
So why not have a spot dedicated for it?
I genuinely don't understand the need.
is it that important they they go in a slot marked 'Armour'?
More inventory space for deathsquito trophies
It's not the importance of the armor slot it's the purpose of freeing up your inventory for more things
But it's not more, it's just relabelled, which is silly.
You misunderstand him
No, I don't think so.
Dude you have too be trolling me lol
More slots for everything would free up the same amount of space as more slots specifically for armor
Pffft
Good retort.
Iβm sorry Dive
I don't think they get it
Yes, yes, somehow it is US that are wrong.
I saw there was a mod that adds them but I really wanna stay vanilla cuz the game is so good the way it is
And honestly it really wasn't a problem till like the plains
By the Plains you should have learned how to manage your inventory.
Ashlands is the only biome I can think of that really has a problem with the amount of unique items, plains is fine
The number of times I've seen people complain about inventory slots and then see a picture of their inventory and it's just stuffed full of stuff they don't need.
No design changes allowed in chat
Not ones that have been categorically ruled out, no.
Oh is that the rule π
And genuine suggestions can go in #suggestions
Now you know
dwarfs in grey
Meh just part of a community eco system. You need at least a few people deathly afraid of any change
Who is afraid of change? Fuck me, how to completely misread a situation
You tell βem Derek
Oh I will.
Heck yeah!
I mean, you're first so God knows why you're so keen.
What do you mean I don't need my cultivator when I raid fuling camps?
In any case you don't particularlly need the armor to try magic. You could try it with just a weapon and see if it feels like something you want to spec into
Bro I feel attacked
If that applies to you, I think we've proven our point.
This guy is hardcore bro don't try to change his mind, he's a rock
Youβre so right man
I would recommend root harness as a gear swap for plains! Trivializes the bugs, just take it off before you engage a shaman or torch fuling.
It's not even my fucking decision, stop being so ridiculous.
You can use the wet effect for fire resistance if there's water nearby
fuhling* decision
I'm sorry Dad
*fuling if you're going to say it.
I swear there was an H there what the frostner
Rule? Not sure what you are reffering to, but about expanding inventory, devs have said no MANY times, that is why Derek is saying it will not happen and if there would be inventory slots it would be re-labeling existing ones, not expanding inventory.
I'm just gonna go install the mod
Go for it if you think it will make you enjoy the game more π
Hmm, to try and help alleviate the problem, I know it was joked on earlier but things you may not realize are in the inventory may be there. Such as Cultivator, Hoe, Perhaps older tools you've replaced, ect.
Hoe can be useful especially in swamps but it's not necessary. Cultivator however you'd want to keep in your base.
Cant make me π€
Cultivator can double as a hoe if you only need to level the ground
Cultivating it doubles as leveling it
Passive farming xp too
Is it even possible to cultivate in the swamp? I think I read somewhere that nothing can be planted there
As someone who likes to tidy up and clean things, I literally clean up all the mess in the fuling camp, I mean like even the dirt patches turning it in grass and all the structures
What do you do with all the deer hides!?
I like to leave broken remains as a testament to my wrath
Put them in deer hide chest.
You can plant ashvines, ivy, turnips and turnip seeds in swamps
I give it to thee mighty thor
That's a weird way to spell obliterator.
Or ya know store it in a chest
To clarify, to the chest I specifically store them.
I was hoping there was a use for 2000 deer hide I hadn't come across because yeah, I also have deer hide chests.
I think there's a viking in my shoe
Maybe I can carpet my whole house in deer.
You could mix a carpet with multiple different carpets to give it more texture
but tbh Lox Carpet is the best
Easily farmable
Just farm lox
But it's a nice circle shape.
And then I can put them a few meters away from each other and leap from rug to rug frog larping.
Not alot of circular buildables
Man would be cool if there's a dragon tranformation
What do you mean?
Like the dragon torso thing from dark souls
I'm somehow less informed. Like you want to turn into a dragon? I only played Elden Ring fwiw.
Yeah like stone heart
Sounds wild.
I want to be fader
Hell yeah.
Now that I think about it... I think furniture itself can be used alot more than just being furnitures
Go on...
Though they are quite expensive but you can somewhat make them into your floor tiles
Oh interesting.
I remember dying on a far off island and my ship is somewhere there
offering different texture
I love putting animal hide on a table
Now I have to go find out how close the Askvin's rug is to the round table. π€
Im not an interior designer
And my house always look ass
I am very proud of my house, but I did sort of steal the idea from Vetlive.
I want my house to be Compact and space efficient
I just got my wisdom teeth removed. Now I can play Valheim without any other responsibilities while I recover!
Wisdom teeth do be acting unwise
Just dont drink or eat anything too hot or cold π
Avoid eating ANYTHING that is remotely hard
Living on yogurt, apple sauce, and mashed potatoes.
Not really if you are carefull π
Also, no straws
Eat something chewy or
something that you can just swallow
Speaking about wisdom eat, how did vikings even cleaned their teeth
The suction from the straw can remove the blood clots from the holes in my mouth.
My teeth is pretty croocked
Get this man some royal jelly
Supposedly their diet was generally good for dental health, but the high amounts of starch and ale did make cavities a common occurrence. They used toothpicks to clean their teeth and pulled rotten teeth to prevent further infection.
The hidden cost of bonemass buffing before raiding the monasteries
where the fun at
Straight up yanking out rotten teeths
π€ yoooo
Over. Pack it up.
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN WE HAVE LOCATED OUR FIRST 2STAR ASKSVIN!
who is vin and why are the 2stars asking him
#screenshots message @steel mica did you get him yet???
Yep he is in a pit
with food and i am stranded with no food what so ever
just my seeker aspic
Grausten walls, campfires surrounding its, taming mead, lock him down!
IM FAR FROM MY BASE
Thatβs what I did with mine, my heart was also pounding really fast LOL
Im on top of putrid hole
Oh shoot, thatβs tough π
so im relatively safe
Well the asksvin despawn if I go far even if its in the taming process?
I had a similar setup; a deep pit literally right next to a putrid hole. Had a whole taming yard in the Ashlands lol
It will not, youβre good!
So i can sprint to my base get all the stuff needed
Yep!
ok night has fallen
Be 100% sure the taming process has started.
YES HEART π
If it hasn't started taming before dawn then it will, but if it did at some point then it won't.
HEARTS SHOWING
Then you good.
Oh! And remember to tame a second Asksvin so you can start breeding right away!
am I good to sprint back home? π
I already have a bunch of 1 stars at my fortress compound
Once it's tame you can ride it to your Ashlands outpost.
5% taming
Im just making sure before I dead sprint to my base getting all the nessecary stuff
Personally, Iβd recommended breeding right away, so you can start getting 2 star eggs. My original 2 star Asksvin is long gone but his children live on lol
Just wait. You can enjoy some taming mead to shorten the process.
No like can I dead sprint to my base now to get all the stuff needed
Will it despawn if I go through a portal? π
So exciting! 2-star tames scratch the same itch as shiny PokΓ©mon for me π
Seemingly the taming has started so it won't despawn anymore.
Ok im dead sprinting to my base
Youβre good! Return to base to get supplies!
Gotta find 2 star Morgen still!
I found one! It was terrifying lol
What food are you using to tame the Morgen?
I have encountered couple 1 stars but not 2 star one.
No taming, just the experience of finding one and defeating it
my fortress is heavily defend with ballistas and ashwood stakes
That's the neat part: you don't. π«΅
Pfft. 2 star are only exciting for tames, any other is just a waste of ammo/stamina/time.
I have never moved so fast in my entirely life
Pretty sure you can get same amount of hits if not more on regulars than dancing around a 2 star. Moar xp/hour. π
Make sure to place 3+ "base structures" to get a raid to spice up the taming π
It would depend on the enemy, some leave themselves more open than others
I will fight to the death to protect this 2* asksvin
I am prepareing a modded Valheim run+world.
I have built a "starting" castle/keep.
Gathered a few materials, no bosses are killed on the world.
Would like to find some people to play with.
I can be online quite a lot just to host if necessary, Mon-Fri 8-10h. Weekends no schedule yet.
Anyone interested please let me know!
Man my heart rate has never been higher than the time a fallen valkyrie attacked me and my 2star asksvin, brutal!
