Including anything you try to build 🤣
They just walk a couple of metres and break things haha
You keep them away, they are not inside pets
Did not say that, even when kept outdoors sometimes one wanders close lol
i have them outside my walls 😄 they make an excellent patroling the borders force 😄
well,, my attempt at taming asksvine ended in vain... that damn morgan 😦 i am not sure i want to start that over again 😦 I am debating if i should sail the drakkar out to the AshPrep outpost... it is no use for nothing laying next to Ash1 Forward Base
easier to smash it to pieces than sail it out imo
and tamed asksvins are awesome btw. i would try again 🙂
Those rocks are pain
Yeah they might just slam some fulings right next to your wall and do massive damage to them, you need to keep stonecutter around and get the free crafting xp from repairing their damage
yeah but sailing it out would give me a chance at bonemaws 😄
Ah yes, the crafting xp that I care exactly 0 for
I don't care either but nobody should deny that it helps a lot when building, repairing and destroying things. Not having to repair the hammer often and using less stamina really is noticeable
building is fun. exercises your creative side
Building was my no.1 avenue to burnout on the game.
Absolutely, never again
black magic then eh? 😄
Nothing but the tiniest, most basic of structures
Or repairing existing structures
The grind/building material ratio is just beyond absurd
my approch is not to want a castle but a village 😄 so i can add small things as needed as i go forward... would burn me out too if i had to collect all the stuff for a massiv castle all by my lonesome self. i absolutly get you
It's the stone stuff which burns me out
Wood is cheaper but it just breaks so easily as to feel like not worth at all for building material, except for like an upper level that enemies csnt reach
i basically use the stone i get from mining silver to build me a house and that is that and if i get more form doing other stuff i will build small additions to that ... mining rock for building purposes... i have no patience for this
Neither do I, it's why I'm actually glad rhe lava blobs destroy everything in the ashlands lol. No more mining for me
If there's more things like that I can take elsewhere maybe my opinion on building might actually change. But only after biome 7 lol
get yourself a fancy graustein base then ... that stone is plentyful for sure without using a pickaxe what so ever
i got there last week or so (IRL) but man i am not advanced a lot... so many mobs 😄
i could see someone turning off the hammer costs just to build a base with materials they already discovered, then turning it back off for a regular playthrough, because it's true the mat costs can get preposterous fast with any sort of large build
So let me introduce you to my friend, Morgen... wait, what is he doing? No... NOOKOOOOO-
at least morgan do deal friendly fire and kill the others around too 😄 so that is not bad 😄
It's somewhat unreliable though, you can't really count on their erratic movements going through enemies
All ashlands enemies except charred and voltures have friendly fire on some or all attacks
in this run i have been having an easier landfall but only one bonemaw until i got there the first ever run to the ashlands i had a very bad time with bonemaws got 30 of their flesh before I even reached proper land... and died there instantly because so many mobs... 😄 well... it is what it is .. gonna play the cards dealt to you 😄
Well ashlands is sure interesting 😄
Ill be playing when I get home in about an hour, need to break and rebuild my ship lol
I finished working 16:00 and am not debating if i should record another episode for my youtube or if i should go on with my private game 😄 and i can not decide what I would like to do better 😄
After defeating the Queen, we're told by one of the raven to "prepare for war".
Usually that doesn't mean a crowd is welcoming you with flowers, but a mob prepared to kill you.
I thought it was just saying there's lots of enemies, not that there's a huge diversity of them
yeah i prepared best I could ... but yeah... going slow and cautious is even more important down south 😄
Besides don't I know it, my first landing I had to fight 2 morgen, a few voltures, lava blobs and a charred spawner
yeah that sounds about right 😄 that is ashlands for you 😄
That's like the same amount of enemy types as everything in the plains combined.
If there's more types than that, wow
Did you find asksvins?
there actually are three more i can think of of the top of my head
not counting boss and miniboss
Not yet no, I wakening from the side and I'm told that it tends to result in landing on small islands. Which is where I am
how do we do frast
So I need to replan my route in
feast
You need to buy a serving tray to place it
Feasts are crafted with ingredients from the bog witch
ohh, much thanks
I have a slight suspicion that deep north will present us with even more enemies ... but that is just my vage gut feeling so let's not get ahead of ourselves 😄
Inb4 deep north being 8th biome is just a prank, on release its just holiday as a reward for beating the ashlands
Haha
hopefully more sea content
dude why does my game, that I HOST, turning into a 500 ping experience
and more ships
that doesnt even make any sense, i host it. its on my pc. and somehow valheim finds a way to give me 500 ping
Just crafted two berserker axes and two asksvin capes from the crafting skill
I will miss that glitch...
According to some people those extras are just annoying
Considering the axes have multiple enchantments, it's highly convenient in this case
When a zone is loaded, the player who it loaded for becomes that zone’s owner until they go too far away. The owner hosts all instances within that zone. Are you experiencing this lag in zones that had someone else in them when you entered?
barely even getting to mistlands, already hoping for more ocean content
...gjalls can raid you in thenwild over ocean
The ticks these gjalls can spawn walk on water
Pufferfish raid, with pufferfish intentionally trying to jump into the boat and poison you
serpent raid when
Basically what happens when you sail into the ashlands
"I'm sorry, how many bonemaws?"
Is there any way to build in the ocean biome?
Or u need to get lucky with an island?
you can not build on water... but there is plenty of islands around you can base a base off of 😄
we got squito repellant potion now ...so ... we gonna survive?
They’ll be waiting patiently for it to wear off, and too many will have spawned when that happens
@trail pelican Did you build a farm at the border of mistlands and plains so you could plant all those crops? Pure genius lol
uh im not gonna explain
it was some mod (i dont know which specifically i just evicted all the ones i didnt activelly use9
also your backup tip worked, my sister's got all her stuff back and more now :D
should i go for iron or ancient root if im more of a parry typa dude
Either really, most important component would be the iron buckler
i got that already now
aaaannd i just crafted 2 hunstman bows, why does switching tabs not cancel it.
I'm having a heck of a time finding the bog witch
yes lol--it's not much, but it's honest work
got inspired by some discussion here about where the ideal spot for bases are
im starting to worry my map is too old to spawn her in
as long as you haven't explored every possible swamp she could spawn in--and I believe on a 'fresh' map there should be 10--that shouldn't be the case
ive checked two swamps marked on valheim-world.map and so far nothing
Is it's a map from before the update the PoI's may not be accurate compared to what that site shows.
Also, an area may already being listed as "explored" even before you entered it, or has it showing up on your map. Has something to do with the rendering distance of the squares an area is made of, if I'm not mistaken.
I need some help..I have thought about a layout for my mid-game base..
but I don't get it to be ok with roofing
Any tips to a decent layout?
do keep in mind, that the terrain 'generates' (gets fixed, for future updates) a bit further out than the actual fog of war gets revealed, so if those spots weren't technically revealed but you already sailed close that might be why--I can confirm on my pre-Ashlands world, I got the bog witch
this is a pre mistlands world
@cosmic summit oh also, there's a known issue with the map seed viewer, where you need to actually directly import the game files to properly view bog witch locations
IF it's Pre-bog witch--post bog witch, just typing seed in should correctly display--basically something about some change which caused I think all POIs, at least bog witch, to be in potentially different spots
Hey can you build inside a sealed tower?
im working on finding the save file now. just figured out i had to launch the game and move it off the cloud
take it over as a base?
unfortunately no
like you can build OFF it, but the tower interior itself IIRC has one of those effects like the sacrifical stones where you can't build
Depends if you want hip roofs or gable roofs. Gables roofs are easier but for the hip roofs you want to look at the amount of foundations you got. A pair amount of foundation you will want the roof to start flush with the wall. For an unpair amount of foundations you will want a 1 meter overhang on all sides.
hmm....does it ground pieces, even at the top?
i believe so
Could make something using that as the core
like the tower itself, building out from, counts as an indestructible "ground" piece
yeah ive seen folks do that
Alrighty! After a good bit of work, my food spreadsheet has been updated again - this time, teamed up with @plush umbra to make a better comprehensive building spreadsheet that includes comfort info~
both sheets in the pins as always~
i finally join the spreadsheet club~
Fancy custom emoji!
this sheet should be more convenient to update than the image, which is...still two content updates behind now 😅
It's those Nitro users
-# actually only i have nitro right now
Not to confuse with Nitroglycerin
Which channel is this pinned in?
this channel!
Hmm, is discord mobile being obtuse again?
Working fine here.
It's under List of Vetted Community Tools
Ahh, got it, thanks.
the order of pins is a bit weird atm anyway, might shuffle stuff around there soon
Nice work, though! My compliments to the chefs, hehe.
thank you!~ ´v`
thank you~
Hello valheimers :3c
Hai~
hru guys :3c
guys my moder is surrounded by mistlands 😭 😭
its an island in an island, the mountain is smack bang in the middle of the mistlands
we didnt bring portal materials
we found the plains round the mountain 🙏 🙏
god damn we had to sail a LONG way and these plains are a tiny part of the whole island, the rest are mistlands
Try to find another one 🙂 she has 3 altar locations
She has as many locations as you had versions of that message
Just cleaning it up since aparently i just cant write properly 😛
we died ☹️ 2 1 star fuelings with spears, and 3 other fuelings

valheim devs are so real for letting you run up near vertical walls
heyo
That's quite the contrast after playing ark where you can't get up a very slight hill
hate that fucking game
That's inevitable at one point
bonemass buff turns you into a god for its duration. take out even the largest of villages, solo, with ease!
Dm @dusky pivot ?
i did
First fuling village:
79 BM
66 Flax
56 Barley
Not a bad haul.
wow, that seems like a lot of flax and barley
the BM seems more reasonable with good chests
Some camps are just much bigger than others
I know, massive fields in this village. Was so happy.
Hi
Missed a field in the darkness of night.
Upon returning in the morning, Barley was actually 56 😄
It's about to be. After I demolish the buildings and flatten the area.
Big wall. Big farm.
and you'll get to enjoy the fuling music in your new farm
Fill the Flint Chest.
lol
as a fellow hoarder, i approve
my dandolion chest is similar
at least they feed the chickens
You never know when you need those
course i don't need eggs or chicken meat anymore....
i'm waiting for Deep North to need some silly material for a recipe and i'll be like "HAHA I have chests of that!"
suck it odin
It happened with the seeker meat and feast despite my urge to turn it into coal I kept a lot of it
guys
check this out I just finished my quest and crafted my flaming sword. I love a chance to duplicate an item with new skill
Enjoy it while it lasts.
I can not send photo but yeah i have two xd
changed in PTB?
Yes
Yep, for weapons and armour.
does it gain a level when it procs instead?
demn i guess am the lucky one
One of the few that will have that chance ever
There is no rng when crafting equipment in the test version
No, it just doesn’t trigger
does it do anything at all? if not, that's just boring
It still applies to other types of item
still boring
I think crafting skill increases crafting speed for everything (except cookables)
lol. like crafting speed was ever a problem
I’m definitely jealous lol that’s so cool- enjoy your second Dyrnwyn!
Technically it does something 👍
unless they implement crafting in the middle of boss fights for some reason. crafting speed isn't ever a problem
It lower the stamina cost to build, repair, and deconstruct and lower the durability cost to do so
crafting skill should do something interesting for weapons/armor building
Talking about how it relates to crafting equipment
Skills in this game have always been nice to haves, not essential. I don't see the fuss.
make it interesting is all
there are plenty of directions. "nothing" is just uninteresting
We don’t need rng put into systems that don’t already have it to make them interesting
while we are talking about pbe, they shuld increase chance for stones from fortreses
It doesn't do 'nothing'.
hell, even a double armor/weapon is fine. it's not like it breaks the game. this is single player mostly. who cares if we got a double of something. most people don't even want a second item
oh there goes Derek being pendantic again
on my save i raided 17 fortreses and amount of stones is juts pathetic
lowered stamina/faster crafting speed is essentially already nothing
procing creating an extra item is something
Up to double hammer durability certainly isn’t nothing
I already technicallyed him
it's something fun. you get that little mario blip sound and another whatever
That's all most skills do.
crafting/farming/cooking already broke the "most skills" pattern
Most skills are combat related, which is when you really need stamina
it is interesting to get an extra thing. it's not game breaking.
Only thing I find weird about it is that crafting a bronze bar gives you a chance to get +1 while crafting 20 arrows gives you the same chance to get +1. It should give that same chance on all 20 arrows
yes. stamina cost being lowered for crafting a sword isn't even useful 🙂
Also it certainly is not intented that you can only get +1, +3, +6, +10 or +15 when crafting x5 instead of +1 to +5
the double item chance for crafting a weapon/armor was at least interesting. i would have thought proccing to give it a free upgrade was the obvious fix
free upgrade would be very reasonable
and i should say "fix" in quotes. because it wasn't really broken. so fix isn't the right word
It’s had the obvious fix
save some grinding but chance for that shuld be low like maybe 5%
change obvious to boring in that sentence. 🙂
ah well. it could still change
maybe the final battle is a crafting battle in the deep north. you have to make more swords than the boss. make that stamina reduction matter
Crafting doesn’t cost stamina, that’s for building.
hii!
could be a cooking battle too.
The only true way to resolve disputes
okey im dissapointed this flaming sword is useless
i think fire stacks, so maybe better than you think. but it's not some uber weapon, no.
potentially could be good in next biome, if mobs are fire weak
yeah I hope that in deep north this weapon will smash but for now if fire dosent stack this weapon is just mid
Even then, it’s 10 fire damage so not great
🤷
Fire does stack, hitting something on fire with fire will proportionatly increase the fire DPS
The fire is just there to make enemies burn when hit
Burninate the countryside
and in crafting you use red gems and crafted wepons dont even have a passiv for this gemstone
#screenshots Folks here is an update on my base w friend :D
We grinded alot w it hope yall enjoy the scenery we pulled off x)
only problems we face now is how to make the docks secure enough and making the main house ;w;
Boats freeze if there are no players on them so you don’t need to worry too much about how secure a dock is
oh no not like that the raids and stuff
the sea side is vulnerable of the base still and its quite finnicky to go around w it due to we cant really terraform good on it due to swimming
im pretty sure the main part is immune to troll attacks but idk if we make a dock there
The best thing to do for raids is to have an easy way to leave the base quickly. Enemies won’t destroy anything if they have a clear path to you.
Also it is funny that this save is the first time i got eikthyr's raid
I accidently fat fingered our first save w the friend so this is the second save
I didn’t get one until my third save, and now I usually get multiple in each world
And i never got eikthyr's raid in my singleplayer saves aswell
I usually js kill him with my fists second i kill a deer and get its head
hey do i have to restart a save to have the bog witch in my world?
No armor or anything else.
I always overprepare for Eikthyr so I’m ready for the greydwarf raids that can start as soon as he dies.
I do this because of a time I killed him on day one and nearly died in the greydwarf raid that started the day after
Ig the reason greydwarfs kick my ass in early game lol ;W;
Same and I hope the meat will come to me for free but it never happens
No, just go to unexplored swamps
experience helps
Same XD, had level 3 troll armour + level 1 troll cape with a max level flint spear for Eikthyr
I don’t go into black forests before killing Eikthyr but if I see any trolls I’ll kill them for the armour.
I was playing on a server with someone else and they were like hold off on the boss fight, so I did everything other then the boss
Whenever I find a blackforest on day 1-3 I go in just for the troll caves, you usually find leather scraps, deerhide and bones in the chest and just a flint knife or spear is good enough to take the trolls inside out easily and make early armor
Yeah they are much faster than us at mining
I still need to try that…
Always look for an enemy to use as unpaid labour for mining
we kill The Lich King of the Goblins and Haldor starts selling hermaphorite chicken eggs
You assume they can't just overhaul it or add another 0 to the dmg?
You could've gotten the eggs another way, but I don't want to spoil
It shouldn’t be too powerful, Dyrnwyn is just a nice trophy for the side quest, not an item designed to invalidate the other flametal swords.
The other flametal sword doesn't have a fire enchant so it wouldn't
They could reduce the slash damage to compensate for more fire
I was hoping they add lightning arrows not just a bow that does 10 lightning dmg per hit sigh
But lightning arrows would be overpowered, just look at frost arrows, still broken as f in Ashlands that shit was from mountains
ik where
The eggs at trader are expensive
Theft is cheap
I'm annoyed at the fact that they never fixed the glitch about normal trolls throwing flaming rocks that's been around since ashlands...
The ones summoned trolls throw.
They sound like them, which wouldn't be a problem if it was a sound-only thing.
The problem is that those rocks also deal fire damage. And I just died because of that
This is why I strongly believe that recycling assets should only go so far, as I'm sure that that happens because they used the same code for both attacks
its essential to the people that actively level and enjoy leveling them 😎
i tested out the vananidir mead a bunch of times just so i could level swim faster
whats the topic, more on why the crafting skill sucks now?
#screenshots message
What weird shit can i do with a catapult other than this?
side note i can't believe how much people with J's in scandinavian pronounciation of things
unironically pronouncing meginjord as "may-shjin-shjord"
i actually just generally don't understand some players
wearing the dverger circlet to fight moder, also eating blueberries and mushrooms 🗣️
I just call it Megan. 😂
I've always read it as meg-in-yord
Sailed to my second patch of ashlands.
On day 1 of exploring here I found actual lava so I'm hoping I might actually be able to progress here lol
Man, I need to replay this game. I played with a small group but I only got to Iron and everyone else stopped playing so.
I'm in a rather opposite spot, where I've never played in a group, I've always hoped I could convince some of my friends to give the game a try but without much luck
So I ended up just playing alone
I'm starting a casual all normal mode (aside from possibly teleporting items) server if you're down so I can re-experience it.
Given I've pretty much only just gotten to the ashlands and it's my first time experiencing it I'm loathe to do basically the whole game from scratch right now haha
Otherwise I would probably say yes
Fair.
Its also been my first time playing without using portal hax (last time I played option to teleport metals wasn't a thing so I used to just drop them off on an alternate world and teleport them that way
correct
yipee
Is the Iron Sledge fun?
I can't tell if I want the dverger circlet
But I feel like it isn't super useful other than building
Yo anyone play valheim here?
At night
Trying to use the console to spawn a raid to test base security using the 'event' command. Nothing is happening, but it shows the command being sent for my coordinate location, any ideas?
Eventrandom or eventrdm will spawn a random event, i have negative iq though
but i remember that that works
If it doesnt work, mb
Console has a command called 'randomevent' but nothing happens
Mb bro
No worries, probably just not working properly at the moment
Just watch some viders abt it
Much smarter people than me can show you all the events and their commands
may as well grab it, not like you'll run out of coins for a long time
"Looking for" someone for your "Group" -> #1024264966712340510
Ahh, so if you throw a stack of fish into a lake, they’ll be “one” fish, but when you catch them again you get the full quantity 🤔
They behave a little odd though
Wasn’t there a new fist weapon with the bog witch update?
no.
also i love how ai works in this game sometimes, a fuling ran up to me, de-aggroed, and started walking away.
I found if you get too many Fulings aggrod at once and run in a circle, the extras above a certain number will deaggro and just walk out.
Why would there be?
I thought I read months ago that there would be a new fiat weapon added with that update. Maybe I’m mistaken
well thats a silly question to an extent, Things can be added for the sake of adding things, I think more appropriately would be "Where did you hear that"
i swear i don't remember hearing there would be a bog witch update months ago
No fiat weapon.
Possible mazda weapon though.
Not with IG. It has 0 relation with what the update was about so no, a fist weapon out of nowhere wouldn't have make sense.
wasn't the crystal battleaxe added in an update
the population density of fulings is concerning, overpopulation moment
i found this village with like 2 structures, and ran in a bit stupidly to still find berserkers and shamans and like 40 little guys
I wish Fuling Villages repopulated if you left them alone, or they had like a permanent trigger that induced Fuling raids every so often if you stayed. Like they keep raiding trying to "take it back."
yeah that would be cool
where should I go if I want help to wreck the queen?
well the mistlands i presume 🧐
No I mean on this discord. Sorry I want clear. Is there a channel for requesting such help?
i didn't see that word apologies...i mean probably #valheim-help....unless you're meaning assistance side by side with a person...?..
No I want people to help me whack it because I dont want to deal with 12k health alone
ehhhhh then just use magic
I... huh... still dont want to do it alone
lox strange me out
shooting at one at a distance to kite it away from my base, so instead of coming straight at me in an open field it makes a complete curveball straight through my base and takes so long to reach me that it de-aggroes.
and the one spot on a hill where i was shooting them from as soon as i got a little bit away more spawned just right there 😐
guess they're kiiinda far enough away from base...
welp! tried the queen, she one shotted me
Thats seems wrong...
bruh what armour / food do you have
i would suggest not getting hit then 🗣️
What an idea, why didnt I think of that?
probably should have ran more or something, as a mage you shouldn't be within anywhere near her.
tell that to her
Did you have the shield bubble?
no
That Is quite important to have as a mage i would say 🙂
look im already really pissed at how much of a wall she is compared to every other bosses. I could do without the snark
Do you have the staff of protection
no I do not
i mean dude you basically can't play mage without it....unless you have god level dodges..
Oh i didn't mean to be snarky in any way, sorry if it came across that way 😅
not you, sorry
🫤
awkward
I said what i meant and i meant what i said, Jumping down with the feather cape basically just ensures you are not close to her....
Well as a mage you should 100% have staff of ambers and staff of protection, Frost staff Is also good and dead raiser can be fun but it Is really not necessary 🙂
dont worry im back with sword and shield
seriously, I hate this fight. The jump between yagluth and the queen is ridiculous. At least yagluth has a weakness to exploit or something. Queen has nothing, but she also deal awful damage AND has a ridiculous health pool. The mistland is the worst part of this game by far.
and from what I gather, im not the only one thinking that
well i don't quite think so strongly but the queen is my least favourite boss fight still
is there magic early game or its only for late game
late game only
ok thanks
Damn how fucking slow are windmills
It’s random, sometimes the wind is slow
I have 4 of them and I have trouble keeping them fully utilized, even with mods for planting and harvesting like 500 barley at a time
i'm literally just sitting at home waiting for them to work so i can make better food so i can go do things...
Sleep at noon to skip time
windmills are less effective if they are covered by other structures too
setkey command is so fun bro
I believe the queen is a reasonable boss. It's not too hard & there's always a chance she dies before you get to the arena
You might heard wrong like I did at first, when they said the update adds feasts in game, not fists
2/4 playthroughs I've done. She's died in her arena before I got to her
what?
I’ve never seen that.
what on earth are you on about
How can she die before I get there? And how is it that you consider that a "balancing" factor that makes her a reasonable boss?
well i wouldn't say she is unreasonable, once you know the patterns you know, doesn't make it not an annoying boss fight.
Not saying it's a balancing factor. Saying it can happen , so take it into account
Definitely was easier before the entire enclosed arena addition
I don’t like her because the second time I fought her she killed me but that doesn’t make her a bad boss.
I hate her because she takes waaaaay too long
Ohh she kinda is because she's my least favourite boss and underwhelming after yagluth and---....yeah whatever anyways.
I'd say fader is too easy of a boss
What is this mystical "dying before you get to her" you speak of, spill the beans..
You used magic, didn’t you?
There is a bug out there where she can die before you get to her. IDK if it's still in the game. Last time I did see it happen was awhile ago
Melee , bezerkir axes
fader was fine tho imo.
And tons of healing meads
He seemed pretty hard the first time I fought him with melee but now that I’ve practiced a few times he feels perfect
favourite boss fight for Sure...i am so glad they added an actually good boss fight after the queen
I quite like the Queen boss fight. It's different from earlier bosses in many ways: the altar/arena is dungeon, she summon minions and she starts to use new attacks when her health reach certain points.
The minions are seekers, I guess that’s something good about her
So. The way I found the queen dead was me & a friend were playing through the game. Gearing up & getting ready. We had pretty decent upgraded blackmetal gear. Stocked up on potions & such. alot of prep as it was our first time since they made the arena enclosed. Just not out in the open
It is what it is i'm not concerned with people that do like the fight but i think the queen and the fight was trash and noone can really change my mind on that 😛
When we went in. We were like "oh this is cool. How do we spawn the boss" , then we found its trophy & items 😆
Did you go somewhere else and fight her later? That seems pretty disappointing.
Yeah honestly. Like any game it's subjective. Personally I despise the earlier progression when most people enjoy it
You sure no one used "killall" command near the entrance?
We were like. "Well. Atleast we don't have to do this a second time. Wanna go try Ashland?"
Yeah I'm certain. No console commands were used on the world
I found one last week
I’d never collected one before
That's rarer than Yagluth Vegvisir.
Rn I'm playing through with a newbie player. Who rages at the fact that health is tied to food
i have the completionist disease, i am in the plains but i still must mark and complete every single burial chamber i find
.....what should it be based on..?..
i did a 100% trophy run and got 4 fenris trophies before i got it
its a new take on survival but its not that jarring, huh
I mean i think it kinda makes total sense....vitality and energy are basically based on what you eat irl
No clue at all they keep saying they love the game but they wish it was more like a traditional survival game. And I was like "well atleast it gives us a reason to farm food huh"
I have usually gotten the RR trophy either during Skeleton Surprise or Brenna Raid
gotta love those "survival" games where you live off of candy bars with no detriment to your stats
I LOVE the fact there is no hunger mechanic in Valheim.
yeahh....i get food because i really want to, not because i really need to.
I believe the food system in valheim is great. , gives you a reason to farm & explore , slows progression to a acceptable degree.
god i love greyling hockey
I actually fucking love the food stuff in valheim, since hearth & home, since the ashlands food stuffs, since feasts were added....i'm just going to become a cook in-game at this rate 🐦
Yeah and cooking skill!
I remember when I first went to Ashlands , i decided swim pillar to pillar through the sea before I burned to death
The food in the ashlands i just find so charming in a way?, marmelade, stews, pies...
The vibes are off the charts there.
Can't wait for deep north. Sitting in a log cabin , frigid cold wasteland outside
Its a bit annoying that health is related to food and nothing else. What this does is that if the player, for any reason, forget to eat food or is caught with their pants down or whatever, the consequences of that becomes more and more significant as the game progresses.
i can't wait to see what it all looks like on a table...(i started an entire new playthrough as soon as the public test came out)
(sooo i'm starting fresh)
its the best thing youll ever see
I remember once trying to disembark from my boat and one goblin was there and I completely forgot to eat anything after this long trip. I got pushed into the water and died.
although i do think either the mountain or boar feasts look the best
I start fresh every update. Gets a bit tedious but it also just I believe. Makes me better at the game. Well rounded
yeah i caught glimpses of the feasts, ashlands one didn't look too hot pun compared to the meadows/mountain/plains feasts.
I literally did one base playthrough, One for hearth & home, One for the mistlands, One for hildirs request, One for the ashlands, And now one for the bog witch...
That is the full extent of the playthroughs i have done.
well thats just how the learning curve goes ig, the consequences of forgetting to eat stick in ur mind and ur less likely to forget the more it happens
The Meadows feast brings me the memory of eating whole roasted pig on stick once in a fest with relatives... 👅💦
I just dont think its one of the fun part of the game.
…me doing 6 playthroughs between hildir and ashlands
I first started when yagluth was the end boss
God knows how long ago
I eat stamina food when sailing anyways in-case i want to bag a serpent..
it is difficult to calculate (on the fly at least) whether or not you can tank a hit based on armor and food but its still enjoyable
so its seriously just on the player if they're not paying attention and being prepared for anything
yeah its not really the game’s fault
In deep north. I'll be extremely disappointed if I don't see a traditional Viking lamilar & fur armor set. Would be amazing
yeahh bear armour and bears, i will never stop beating that dead horse idc how the devs feel about it.
The game puts the rules clearly so yes its on the player's end. Im saying its not fun.
then put it on a lower difficulty 🤷♂️
ffs
Naw. Heavy lamilar pouldrons , chest armor & bear skin cape
Like i think its 100% fine...there are rules to abide by....
Would look. Amazing
You know what I think im done here. Ive been annoyed enough and I got other things to do.
dude we’re not trying to annoy you
Its better than having to eat to not starve like some games, its a more cozy feeling, its fine.
some people find it fun and others dont, but end of the day its part of the game so
not you
Even though I'm a more casual player I just love every aspect and can't wait for the next update
just because i hate the queen boss fight and most people don't doesn't mean i'm going to complain about it and say it shouldn't exist.
It all works well together. It has its charms. Nothings particularly bad
(even if i wish it was a completely different boss in my own little world)
Hey man. The power of modding. There's tons of mods out there and I've gotten curious with it too
are u melee or ranged/magic
i'm 75% referring to the aesthetic of the boss
coz i use krom secondary attack plus bile/ooze bombs for the seeker brood summons
Basic summary, Yagluth = fucking awesome, breaths lasers, throws meteors at you, in my mind the mistlands boss has to top that because its further along in progression, get to mistlands, crazy fucking magenta thunderstorm, "ohhh that must be related to the boss thats so awesome!", oh its just a big fucking bug with no special effects.
oh ok yeah fair enough, i feel like spiders in general wouldve been cooler for mistlands, like how mistlands originally looked with all the cobwebs etc
but most people hate spiders so that wouldnt have gone down well lmao
Smh...
I am 100% a melee player. But I'll use ranged when I have spare resources lying around. And I don't particularly wanna waste food killing random mobs around the place or farm
Lox meat farm without taming them is a ranged job for sure. Their stagger is crazy
I don't know what i expected, I guess i would have been fine with a bug but i wish there was some more magical effect about her, As it stands i cannot seriously consider her to be more powerful than aformentioned laser-breathing meteor hurling sorcerer king, I wish she harnessed some of that crazy mistlands lightning or something
I had a shocking revelation recently…
Dundr is named dundr cause thunder 😂😂😂
yeah its kinda just big bug with nothing special
That would be cool
especially having the queen sandwiched between yagluth and fucking fader
yag and fader have the best boss designs in the game and the queen is just kinda…there
At a glance i would think she is maybe between the elder and bonemass....oh no...she's endgame...apparently...haha..
the aesthetic is fine, but the setting is underwhelming.
as i said, a magical spider boss wouldve been cooler imo
and i do like the instanced dungeon with the whole key thing
or just a magical version of the queen
"the queens power breaks free" what fucking power lul..
tbf the queen can break some shit, thats where the improved mining comes from lmao
she shouldn't even be so tanky because her carapace covers her back, which we are not attacking.
I mean. They could tie it into some Nordic mythology still
well at least she doesnt resist slash like the rest of the seekers
There's plenty inspiration to take. But it is what it is. And some aspects could definitely change but personally I don't mind it
The mistlands....the land of eitr and magic.....consisting of.....a single creature that actually is somewhat magical (gjall)...not counting dvergr because they only harness it...
i used to despise how the fight played, with all the summons etc
i do like what they did with the fader summons, doing the same amount of damage but way less health, thats much more balanced
Unbelievably i think the mistlands could get fleshed out a bit more....add one more enemy thats magical, and add some magical effects to the queen, give her either more carapace to make the tankiness seem more logical, or just straight up nerf her health.
well the visual design makes sense, ant queens in particular are very squishy and have little protection
if the only cliche about the fight is that she's slightly less telegraphed than other bosses and summons a bunch of annoying fucking minions....then thats straight up boring.
not even less telegraphed id say, she’s just got more than 3 attacks
Have a secondary boss. A power crazed dvergr mage or something of the sort
How does "parry" work in this game? Just tap as the attack hits you or?
because all the bosses before mistlands only have 3-4 attacks
but it works so good for yagluth so he gets a free pass
yes, just block right as the attack is about to land. timing is fairly forgiving
Time the enemy's swing at you. And block just before it hits
If you block less than a quarter of a second before an attack hits, block armor will be multiplied by parry bonus and the enemy will be staggered if possible
moder needs a buff, she is kinda dumb as fuck in melee combat.
Does it negate all damage or?
i wouldve liked if he had more moves, its just fire nova, meteors and breath
Depends on the enemy & your block skill / shield
certainly doesn't negate it, it just dampens it
No, it increases block armor by the item’s parry bonus
not overly exciting once youve done it 4 times
It stuns enemies and increases your armor rating
No harm in attempting to parry any enemy. Itl likely save you from what would be a fatal hit
she needs to stay in the air more i think, she has fucking wings but only uses them for 20% of the fight
If the attack has a magical effect you don't really block that, you will still get a debuff, but you do take less damage.
Ah. I'm using stagbreaker rn but y'know.
maybe if she had a wing flap that pushed players backwards but you could still dodge it
eikthyr the elder are fine, bonemass is okay but kinda boring, moder is stupid, yagluth is awesome, the queen sucks, fader is peak.
Taking damage in this game works as follows:
Damage - (block armor + actual armor)
Stagbreaker is great for clearing bunches of lower level enemies & skeletons. Sometimes oozers in the swamp in a pinch
If you can afford to switch to bronze weapons do so.
So basically when preventing taking damage, blocking increases how much you reduce incoming damage
Blocking sheet which is pinned in this channel has a "READ ME" section 🙃
the setting of moder is goated, fighting a dragon on a mountain is so cool but i think she needs another move, same with yagluth
i kinda wish bonemass was more interesting....i also find him to be aesthetically mid...
I'm gonna get the iron hammer when the time comes.
Or whatever.
yeah hes kinda just green jelly with eyes
big ball of slime that barfs and summons more slimes and does like poison and swipes at you 😱
Hammers are my thing. Idk if there's a new one.
https://valheim.fandom.com/wiki/Damage_mechanics#Armor
That’s not how it works.
If you venture into the ice caves you could potentially snag some crystals to get a crystal battleaxe a little early
Still the same general concept
I'm... not good at this game so lmao. I just like hammer type weapons. That's all I know
eikthyr straight off the bat is unique....a fucking lightning deer?....i haven't seen that before, easy though it may be its a great boss aesthetically..
🤦♂️
thats an axe tho not a hammer, different skills
Yeah it's still a decent weapon. Doing a 100% hammer run of the game would be soul crushing
Blocking sheet, which is pinned in this channel, has a READ ME section.
it was a great moment when i first fought him
hi sev
doing an axe only run would be too ig
Axes are far more forging I'd say
battleaxe* would suck, axes are reliable enough.
If I can skip bonemess & get straight into finding and farming silver I do so , I just. Dislike the bossmass fight
Never seen one before? Do more shrooms 😏
How?
oh absolutely theyd be more forgiving, but i just find them to be too slow with not enough payoff
Axe secondary is terrible
1.5x damage and a bit more knockback
i always do these comparisons and i'm gonna do it again cuz i think this is a new crowd.....fader > yagluth > moder > eikthyr > elder > bonemass > queen
in combat yes, it’s absolutely awful
the one handed axe?
Axe secondary was added specifically for dealing with stumps.
I didn't find it awful....i believe it did well against greydwarf brutes.
as long as fader comes out on top its a good list, they did so unbelievably well
Sword secondary has twice the damage multiplier
trying to use the jotuns bane as a weapon in the mistlands actually kinda fucking sucked though ngl.
well tbf anything will do well against greydwarfs
i’ve honestly never used it
That's because Jotun's Bane sucks overall.
I wish there was like an acid damage type, because what can't be resistant to poison when half the games population is undead, acid can still melt bones and metal 🤩
poison is like the second most resisted element in the game, plus axes suck, so i just never crafted it
Spirit melts bones very well
I'd take frostner over jotuns anyday
absolutely
++ there is also "resistance reduction" in certain other games as a mechanis aswell
I would take my bare fists over Frostner every day.
Great axe (2 handed) or normal axe?
yeah we all remember that
Normal axe. Battleaxe secondary is more useful.
i wish it had more range but the stagger is insane
Agreed
Only time I use regular axe secondary is if I’m doing some stupid jollo leap attack 😂
imagine how fucking METAL an ashlands tier battleaxe would be....but that might not work, is the crystal battleaxe viable in the mistlands?
thats actually fun, i do that when i'm woodcutting and greydwarves piss me off
Again, 1-hand axe secondary is a Tool ability meant for Tool things, not Weapon things.
i wish they couldve done that, that wouldve been amazing
although deep north will absolutely have a new variant for every weapon type
I honestly kinda wish that literally every weapon type existed in flametal tier because its so hype
imagine lightning battleaxe
i wish bloodstones were better
bleeding slayer is THE best looking weapon in the entire game but its just not viable
well they're kinda useful, i just find them the least interesting out of the RGB combinations.
they are the best for the crossbow snipers as far as i am aware.
Ehhhh. To some point sure. It still hits like a truck on basic seekers
its just that letting your health get low is really risky in this game and doing it on purpose for slightly more damage isnt worth it imo
Early mistlands. Decent. When you can afford better, hell no
Ngl I just wanna find the best "hammer" type weapon lol. I love big, slow, powerful weapons. Hence why I ALWAYS get Stagbreaker and the iron one fast lol.
Have you seen the cheat sledge?
Eh?
Since there is so many people here i want to run an idea through the populace before even thinking about putting it in suggestions, give bonemass a weakness to lightning, use thunder stone to make a lightning spear in the swamp tier, boom, spears more viable.
There's a cheat sledge?
yes…
Oh that's one you need console commands for. I don't wanna cheat.
Crystal battleaxe is always viable 🥰
it is…something else. it’s basically the cheat sword but it deals aoe and structure dmg
Honestly. That would be decent. Same concept would work for more niche weapon types too
if you use the cheat sledge in a forest its knocking down every tree in a 50m radius
i mean from my perception, spear, club & sword are the reliable go to weapons in alot of cases, most two handed weapons being more niche, same with axes.
I do think they should make battleaxes & greatswords available earlier on. A copper battleaxe or longsword would be pretty sweet
swords all the way
Being able to make a copper greatsword early on would be absolutely amazing
true yeah, it sucks that we have to get through 5 biomes to finally unlock a 2 handed sword
of course they would be the most reliable typically, otherwise it would be a bad game 🫢
What are the best club weapons?
im a basic bitch i love my sharp metal rods 😅
where are you in game
Storm star or klossen as maces
The best sledgehammer is demolisher
Could put it into suggestions. Wouldn't be hard to balance adding in bone , copper , iron & blackmetal two handed weapons in
Well I beat the first boss but I mean overall.
Even if the earlier two handed weapons were crude. A bronze cleaver ie. It'd be cool
Is the "best sledgehammer" actually good tho is my question. Ngl I hear people calling Stagbreaker bad and I'm just like... huh?
That thing slaps
i mean....how spoiled do you want to get lol....
I don’t like any of the sledgehammers, they kill things too slowly
well they cant really add a bronze greatsword since the krom already uses bronze to craft
Depends. What do you mean by spoiled.
I just like the raw power feeling behind them
Stagbreaker can help you find silver decently early on too , that's the purpose I use it for
How again?
i don't even want to know what the new meads recently added look like or are named, and you're asking about weapons later in the game 🤐
great in dungeons, some utility for mining, other than that, pretty mid
I like letting peeps figure stuff out for themselves
Well I'll say this. I got to Iron before and had fun with the iron hammer. So. I just restarted since the previous group I played with stopped playing
I am not above checking the wiki so
@rain flare @gray sand @nocturne wolf iiiinput 🥺
the next 'hammer' is in the mistlands, so 3 biomes away..
ehhh there is a hammer in the mountains but not two handed
i mean bonemass resists slash too
The battle axe?
i said hammer
Give him a weakness to lightning, and people will try to kill him with obliterators (YES)
Oh. Which one is it?
frostner
mind blank, whats tha?
That actually looks dope.
ohhhh frostner yeah
It’s a mace that looks like a hammer
aren't morgen literally the only things in existence weak to lightning atm anyways
Stagbreaker. Not viable past black forest & occasionally swamp. Demolisher , pointless in Ashlands 85% of the time
absolutely i was already thinking that
Yes, but nothing’s resistant
I'm going to make it work.
I don't care. Hammers are fun.
i love your enthusiasm
honestly i tried hammers only in the mistlands and beyond and i gave up in like 35 minutes.
If it won't work, I will make it work. I will enjoy my hammers.
Everything is the nail, and I wield the hammer.
theres a specific chest piece i would recommend if ur doing hammers only
Trust me bro. You're not going to be able to kill a single fuling with stagbreaker in plains
Bro I never said strictly stagbreaker lmao
I meant all hammers. I'm gonna upgrade as I go. I'm not THAT dumb
you mean the skill referred to as clubs
Glad cus I know people who are
All of those things that are blunt are referred to as clubs
Clubs, yes, but specifically 2 handed hammers. All three of em.
dont even attempt ashlands without a tier 3 demolisher and at least 60 in clubs
Sledgehammers and maces are very different weapons, they just share a skill because otherwise we would have a skill for only three weapons
Lmao
You can't stop me.
As a matter of fact I'm goin in with Stagbreaker.
im not the one thats going to…
Don't do what I did and spend 4 hours swimming to the ashlands because you can't be bothered making the boat
Dies immediately probably.
give your monitor my prayers
... Okay but why tho
that’s actually crazy
what the fuck kinda cursed strat did you muster up???
did u like sail til the longship broke then just swam?
tbf its not completely impossible but it’s borderline
found a starred troll, cool.
w troll armor
nah i have padded and fenris combined, i left it alone and just am checking its cave out.
it has a hubby in the cave, left it alone too.
Uhh. Use a karve. Yolo it into the boiling waters. Leap onto a pillar and swim from pillar to pillar , hoping I don't die & occasionally putting down a portal when I'm low health. Coming back , demolishing the portal & trying again.
Took 4 hours cus my world seed was extremely bad for ashlands
Pretty much swim & hope we make it to the next pillar without boiling
Or get stuck from the waves pushes me off a ledge
did u make it tho???
Yes
ok W
The goal was to put a portal down for basic resources
After I got the portal down I got ganked by a Morgen
Ngl, I wanna use two handed weapons. Hammers are on my radar but apparently they suck so... any alternatives that're good?
hammer doesn't suck, but they're not good either 🤣
two handed swords are great but they’re very late game
Speak for yourself.
Sledge and Demolisher are amazing.
If you say so....trying the demolisher was a very uninspiring experience...
its very niche
Psycho said hammers are bad. Demolisher apparently needs max upgrades AND rank 60 club for anything to be good.
like its.....fine.....i guess.....probably....?.....but it really did not feel good to use...
Krom. , berzerkir axes. All the late game two handers are very good. Two handed hammers get outclassed when you start bringing them to later game areas. They just don't do as well as others
i didnt say it was bad, i said it was less viable than anything one handed
What is this slander for the mighty demolisher???
It legit has a massive AOE and does good damage
you lose most of your ability to block and a lot of ashlands enemies in particular are quite fast and will easily get a hit in before you can swing again
I’d recommend it any day of the week
thats my experience anyway
Smells like... skill issue.
Then, nothing personal, but they are an idiot.
Hammers are great.
You need to be agile - jump around and slam the hammer
But yes, you can’t block so you have to be careful 😂
Ohhh here we go again, berzerkir axes > bows > swords> clubs > knives > spears > atgeirs > 2-handed swords > arbalest > axes > hammers > fists
That's it. Sildar and you have reaffirmed my belief. I'm going an all hammer run. This is my duty.
Bring the hammer down! 🥳
Wait, hammers can't block? Or?
use light armor coz u need good mobility to counterract the 20% movement speed penalty you get hit with
No two ways about it. Demolisher doesn't preform well in ashlands. You will get ganked by faster enemies & you need your mobility to be able to dodge the ranged attacks
They can - just not so well
They can block but not as well as a shield
I thought they have a block.
There is no bridge after Iron Sledge, so Plains can get a bit rough using a 2-biome behind weapon.
But other than that they are amazing.
they can, but nowhere near as well as a shield or knife
Well I could use another blunt weapon for that if there is one
they are fine, for some certain things, to an extent.
What if I'm good at Parrying?
Maces & frostner
if you like being slower at actually killing enemies then go for it 🤭
One hand club and 2 hand are the same skill tree
Knives have terrible block armor except for skoll and hati
if youre good at parrying then youll be a little better off
Even when parrying the block armor isn’t great, but it should be enough for weaker enemies
i was referencing skoll yes
I wouldn’t try blocking with the big hammer 😂
Your block armor is too low to do good
Just hit the mob before they can hit you 💥 🔨
Yooo does anyone have any up to date tierlistmaker links for weapons bossfights all that good stuff, ashlands or atleast mistlands included
oh yeah also how do you do the dodge roll? I know you can do it out of sneaking and blocking apparently but.
Block & press the jump button
sevrahn is the same bloke that called frostner bad but alr
If an attack is short enough to be jumped over, jumping is better than rolling
I ain't gonna be able to tell a difference lmao. Roll is like my default response to every weapon being swung in my face.
i don't even like using frostner post plains but i acknowledge that it is busted as fuck.
wait why is Frostner busted?
I think imma skip bonemass this playthrough and go straight to silver
rolling is often better, since you negate damage entirely
The different damage types & it slows enemies
Jumping costs less stamina and allows you to attack while dodging. Also, jump attacks don’t slow you down like attacking on the ground.
spirit damage is a bonus, frost damage slowing enemies can control the fight in alot of situations.
So how good can it get...?
It isn't.
It's a matter of perspective.
If all you care about is not killing things and creating space for yourself -- Frostner amazing.
If you want to kill things quickly -- Frostner sucks.
Itl carry you through a good portion of the game
apparently people use it into the ashlands
max or base?
exactly man, i dont even use it and ik its good
It remains a viable weapon through multiple biomes but isn’t better than the weapons available in those later biomes
Maxing it increases the elemental damage.
The level where you get it. Around the silver , mountains area. If you fully upgrade it. It can do wonders even in mistlands
Depends on weapon
I’d jump over enemies if using a big weapon like demolisher so I can land on their head and bop them 😂
Mistwalker (sword) is a straight upgrade to it.
When shit gets hairy i love to have the frostner, the fang spear or blackmetal sword or porcupine at about that tier are better at killing things straight up.
Ah ok. So from what I'm gathering rn. Stagbreaker until swamp, Iron Sledge, then Frostner for plains stuff, and all that, then Demolisher?
Yes.
If u wanna go for blunt. Yeah that's Ur upgrade path
I am a hammer enthusiast so
Frostner is definitely a good carryover until you have Demolisher online.
Do be aware. You can only make frostner by purchasing a item from a trader
well i honestly think frostner is better than demolisher even so there is that
That's... just no.
I'll have to find him soon then
Having a shield is a w in my book
I want two handed big hammer as my end result
Definitely do so. You can also pick up a belt that increases carry weight
Its just...yes, demolisher mid
False on multiple levels.
I know of this. I just don't know where this trader is. My seed has MULTIPLE dark forests within swimming distance of the spawn island tho so
Both are good - but if you want to slow enemies and apply spirit use frostner
If you want pure, unadulterated SMASH!!! Potential, use demolisher
@placid copper Demolisher can parry everything that isn't a 2-star until Ashlands.
At which point it can parry everything that isn't starred.
he straight up blocked me over this btw
Just try to glaze through black forests. The traders are very noticeable
So basically: Starred enemies = bad.
the whole frostner shit
No, just don’t block them.
Ahhh well, Thats too bad, People be being people do people stuff..
No, they just hit harder.
So starred = roll.
yes, more health and damage
Jump if you can, roll from tall attacks
I will start adopting this mindset with Stagbreaker
200% hp 150% dmg for 1 star
300% hp 200% dmg for 2 star
i hate rolling
Me too
it uses way too much stamina to be used often
I wanna get a 1 or 2 star wolf to tame lmao
Usually they don't even get close enough that you need to. Because you can hit them from a good distance with the AoE, and it knocks them back even further than that.
We have a mountain near our base in my server so
i wish we got a rolling skill so it would reduce stamina usage
Oh i think rolling is very good, but i hate doing it.
With stagbreaker. Just make a finewood bow & trollhunt , fully upgraded trollhide armor is a good place holder for bronze until you start farming iron
It is my last resort.
stars only spawn and night so be careful but yeah, 2 star wolf army is crazy
Plus it's a light set
troll > bronze any day
Trollhide will get you to Wolf armor.
Skip iron entirely.
i used bronze on my first playthrough and havent used it sincr
I also plan to get a 2 star boar. Why? Because why the hell not
i use bronze armour to spite the masses that say not to.
I like having pets. So.
nahhh bronze armor is cheeked up thats why you use it
Bronze armor has the uncontested best helmet in the game.
viking buns go crazy
Bronze armor is only worth making in large groups where it would take too long to find all the trolls
Personally I switch over from troll to iron if I have enough. I usually go for a tanky build for melee
well thats false on like 30 different levels, not why i use bronze armour, i think it looks like 5.5/10
they’re both dauntingly tedious processes tho 😭
troll to iron but root harnesk instead of iron mail
bronze chest and legs with troll hood and cape is dripping imo
Wait wait wait, so question. What're the best "high mobility" armors I should go for for each area to offset my giant hammer?
Oh if you are a solo or duo. Just hunt trolls & farm bronze respectively. When I was done farming bronze for my set. My buddy had a complete lvl2 set with some hide left over
I only cope with the fact that i have to wear it, all ashlands armour sets look peak
When you find the bog witch you can make meads that increase movespeed
Trollhid kit & fenris
i always use flametal set but the embla set looks incredible
Leather -> Troll -> Root -> Fenris -> Still Fenris -> Still Fenris -> Probably still Fenris, or Asksvin if you want.
go to askvin when you can
Fenris is just that good huh?
the ask set is so unassumingly just.....good looking
+9% Movespeed.
fire and frost resistance plus 9% movement speed
I completely skip root. Cbf looking like a walking tree. Gotta have some kinda drip
Plains has no light armor and the only light armor in mistlands is for magic
Fenris can get you through plains easy tho
I never find enough Aboms to build Root, lol.
go with primarily health foods tho, coz fenris loses armor value in mistlands very quickly
what about askvin?
Fenris can get you through everything if you want.
Because "not getting hit" due to movespeed is the best armor 😄
Unfortunately I have the problem of there being a insane amount and I just don't wanna fight em
am i the only one who thinks asks set looks fire or am i just being generally ignored 🥴
It has jump stamina reduction
I've had 3 of them in one area before
Time to turn every fight into a no-hit run lmao.
wheres that luck for me, i want my lvl 3 root harnesk before mountains
It looks good, just wish the Ash cape wasn't so horrible 😦
With the massive range and knockback of hammers -> entirely possible.
Idk I just stumble around the swamps and get unlucky. Or lucky for other people ig
the ashen cape or the ask cape
I spelled what I wanted to spell.
whats wrong with the ashen cape
i think teh ashen cape is the best looking cape in the game, and the askvin cape is weird..
they nerfed asksvin cape too, its not as good anymore
Having 75% of your face covered from below is "the best looking"??
statswise its very good
The collar goes fucking HAAAAAAAARDD-UHH
🤮
You can get -100% sprint stamina by using it with eikthyr
The e kitten collar is . Abhorrent
i have heard varying things about it...what are the differences now?
but…speed
Unbased for that take 👅
windrun doesnt increase movement speed anymore, it just reduces stamina consumption
Btw how many "capes" are there?
i thought the new effect had a passive movement speed buff
Really? That's it?
Feather and Ashen.
End of cape list.
???
There's the leather one too?
no, there are about 6 more he didnt mention coz hes a snob lmao
There are like a dozen, but only 2 matter 😂
Ashen , flametal armor & berzerkir axes. , I need nothing more
Once you unlock it, any cape that isn’t feather cape is a waste of time and materials
the wolf and lox capes add essential drip to mid-game outfits you dingus
plus passive frost resist hello
Wolf Cape > lox Cape.
Deer, Troll, Wolf, Lox, Linen x5, Feather, Asksvin, Ashen
Wolf Cape goes hard
linen capes disappointing sucky waste of linen
I punch a puppy every time you say things like "drip" jsyk 😛
They both go hard it just depends on what you match the lox cape to
wolf cape looks better but i always get lox cape first since it doesnt need a trophy
good, idc 😎 i talk how i want.
Please don't punch mine. He's a good boy.
I skip Wolf cape and go Lox cape instead since it doesn't cost silver to upgrade.
and it also doesnt need silver to upgrade, just lox pelt
Lox cape goes better with padded armor.
So you just dog the mountains with frost mead the entire time??
I pretty much live in the mountains 80% of the time anyway. I love having myself a mountain castle
I am saving an entire inventory slot going capeless because the Fenris set doesn't require one 😄
drip drip drip drip drip drip drip
So trophy's aren't a issue
real af
skibidi gyatt ohio rizz
👊 👊 👊 👊 👊 👊 👊
👊 👊 👊 👊
he’s very against having fun dw
Fenris set is goated tbh it’s my goto from as soon as I acquire it even in mistlands
Consecutive normal punches.
Yk. This playthrough I will just skip bonemass. Chug some frost resist & go and start terraforming a mountain to make my base. I'll run into silver either way
Mobility > defence tbh
but dont u want bonemass power?
"Save the planet"
-Listen to Gen Z talk
"Burn the planet to the ground for all I care."
😛
or do u just hate the fight
It’s a reoccurring theme in humanity for sure
It's entirely skipable, so why not
Plus I don't gotta worry about higher level raids for awhile if I don't do it
to me a biome doesnt feel complete til i kill the boss
The worst thing my generation came up with was "word"
That's it. We didn't invent 40+ new combinations that already have words for them 😄
thats valid actually, i hate the drake raid coz i always get it when im out of frost resist and dont have a cape
The internet definitely accelerated slang I don’t even understand a lot of the things my sister says lol
I'm 20 and I feel like I speak like a 90 year old. Listening to some younger people these days. Destroys my brain
real
🫂
I think it’s just a thing they do to distance themselves from previous generations
nah, its coz ipads do more parenting than humans lmao
That's... Sad but true.
yup
Yeah nah everytime I go outside or to shopping centres I see little kids in prams or just walking around glued to a phone or ipad. And their parent doing nothing
-# No cap. They finna boutta distant themself?
That's all I know...
As a parent I never understand that.
I think a trust an iPad a lot more than an unprepared 19 year old for example
Real, but then again as much as people like to hate on the new generation of brainrot. I grew up on MLG and some really stupid stuff and I have to say it's the same thing 😭
Same brainrot, different flavor
Geniunely in the past 10 or so years. Parents have entirely just let tech take over for entertaining their children
Brainrot gets converted into EITR.
well that goes without saying, but unfortunately it results in all this lingo that we cant fathom
Skibidi
At least English is very broad and there’s a lot of words that mean the same thing so you can piece it together for the most part
It's the fact that it's more mainstream now. You can't escape it even if you try
exhibit A 🫡
Like rizz
true, some of it is very left field tho
English is so silly and I love it
The fact bomb and tomb are pronounced differently is funny
Bootylicious
charisma yes
It’s just slang for charisma cha rizz ma
Rizz I unironically kinda use because it's really FUNNY
Inb4 DnD version 7 changes the CHA stat to RIZ 😏
lol
roll a Rizz saving throw 😭
strength to aura
next generation is gonna make it worse, cycle gonna cycles lol
It won't be worse, it's just a different flavor of brainrot
Toggle for "Believes in Astrology birthsigns" that sets your INT to -10 😉
At a certain point older generations stop growing and learning and you stagnate
I grew up in a time where 2013 slurs were acceptable to do in YouTube 😭
Glad that didn't pass over
There are people who believe birds aren't real.
So... yeah 😄
flat earth moment
Inherently from my experience most of them are pompous arrogant people who think respect is gained from being old. And then think they're right in every single aspect
the good old days fr
But that’s how it’s always been so that’s why
Before previous generations passed down a lot more knowledge too now you learn how to live from the internet lol
which on its own isn’t inherently negative
parents complaining about their kids using technology too much but whenever their child wants to show them something they too busy on their own phones
Girls who are into astrology I will avoid at all costs , that's just the bad strain of brainrot. Like okay Stacy he was a Capricorn but did you really have to reject him cus of that?
Boomers past didn't do much passing on except abuse and stinging wealth
