And for two, they have said the game will have a defined ending point. So most likely you will get your lore at that time if there is one.

Well Its about your rig and the instances in the area, under 10 000 instances most PCs should be totaly fine, around 15 000 some may start stuttering a bit, 20 000 most people will experience some form of stuttering or lower fps and above that it gets worse and worse. +"Heavily built area" Is usually around 25-30 000 and more instances

It's a combination of hoe and pick. Level it as best you can, then approximate your level with the pick. Then hoe it again. Repeat until satisfactory.

The hoe will level things to your level, so start from one point and always stick to area that you already leveled to the same elevation. You may need to remove ground with a pickaxe or raise the ground with the hoe on some area

My advice is don't build on the ground. Stilt your buildings a metre and then you have facility to place things like workbench/forge upgrades under your workbench/forge. You can place chests in the floor for extra storage. It's actually really useful.

Hey guys considering getting the game off steam, but not sure what exactly the game is? I understand procedurally generated world and rpg but what type of rpg elements does the game have and is it possible to play completely solo?

Oh yes 😄 it is balanced around playing it solo and i personally play almost exclusively solo|| (warning tho, you will sink MANY hours in it if you decide to buy xD)||

Playing solo can be really tedious. There are large RPG communities for it if you like RPG. It's very resource intensive but there are options to adjust difficulty and resource drop. Boss fights can be a pain if you don't know what to do, since they usually require a little bit of prep and don't make it clear what you exactly need. The best way to approach them is to read up on the bosses on the wiki it really goes a long way.

It is a single player game that happens to have co-op.

I beg to differ, the most fun i ever had in the game was on first playthrough when going around not knowing what i am doing. If you read up what to do for bosses for example that is robbing the game of MASSIVE part of its charm. Also, boss fighting being pain, it is and i quote: "A brutal exploration and survival game..." , it is to be expected they will be hard and tedious to kill 🙂

I love the game. I still think it's tedious. I love sinking my hours into it, I suppose different maps are also a really big factor.
The five first worlds I had ended up just abandoned. I'm not complaining about the game, I just described my experience with it 😀

If the game feels too tedious there are world modifiers to alter the play experience, althought I recommend trying out first with normal settings.

The tediousness can be largely mitigated now with the world modifiers if you really want (just as you said) but still, the normal dificulty is fine imo, maybe its because i played over 800 hours just on it but i would not change it (at least for the first ever playthrough for our potential viking there 🙂 )

That is not necessarily true 🙂 I hated AND loved playing Jump King for example, so much in fact i completed all 3 of those stupid maps many many times xD and even with those conflicting feelings, if i would be able to play it again for the first time i would do so 🙂

The higher upgrade levels are required however for upgrading armor pieces
