Having PlayFab issues on Xbox connecting to Steam servers. Anybody else having these issues?

"Could not join: Problem resolving invite code", "Could not log in to PlayFab" errors, no community or friends servers populating on the list

Network not at fault, entirely same setup user-side as last several times I've played cross-play servers. Open NAT, no VPN. No reason outside of potential PlayFab issue

Xbox can only connect to Crossplay-enabled servers. The Steam version of Valheim and Valheim Dedicated Server can host Xbox players, but only if the Crossplay networking backend is used.

That is the case, things are being done properly on the setup side

Issue is, when the server is set for Crossplay, other steam users can't connect, and Xbox is unable to resolve invite code as well

You most likely have too many items on the ground in that area already, when there Is certain ammount of items dropped in one place they start to stack 🙂

Note the join code will change from time to time, so you would want to consult the server logs for the most recent one. Once someone has managed to join via the Join Code, their Recent and Favorites entry for the server can likely be continued to be used even after the Join Code changes.

If they are using a password, make sure the password conforms to the rules, at least 5 chars and doesn't contain the world name or seed code.

If it's nothing like that, you can have the server operator hop into #dedicated-server and attach the server logs to a post in there. They are welcome to obfuscate IP addresses or anything private.

Enshrouded is highly unoptimized. I used to play just fine running mid graphics last September, before their first big update. Then, once I got back into the game after the hurricane, it's like they blew up all of the renders. Looks like crap. My PC isn't even low-end.

If you don't want to spoil all your fun, instead of looking for the Queen itself, look for Runestones amd have the Boss Vegvisir enabled.
That'll give you the location of the pointer to one of her locations.

Also, Vegvisirs in the infested mines are quite often hidden at ledges, as I have discovered over time.

there was an update to how crossplay codes works in the backend

so usually just remove the pre-update shortcuts, and then just re-add and it should work fine

so just clear your favourites tab and re-add

The issue here is that there are no servers in favorites. This is happening on clean installs on different platforms and operating systems when it comes to Xbox only. It happens to him, it happens to my wife where they both see no servers listed in friends, community, and join codes refuse to work. I have tried hosting crossplay via steam through Windows and Linux at this point with the same result.

I've also attempted to join crossplay server via xbox hosting and same issue

2. it has to be do-able to do it

Microsoft refuses to say how many gamepass subscribers there are on PC, and will only ever release numbers as totals... does that tell you they have a lot.. or a little on PC?.....

Them not wanting to publically divulge that information is a statement in and of itself.. everone understands this.. let's not play dumb. If the PC numbers were high, they would boast about it, Microsoft never shys away from boasting big successful numbers when they can.

The dev themself told me their criteria, which makes sense and I agree with. The xbox reaching out is completely separate, guessing they got a check from microsoft for some sort of timed exclusivity deal

Obviously there was a deal that was made to put the game on GamePass like with all games.
It typically stay on GamePass for a month or more and then goes away.
