I've tried rilatine for the first time this weekend and damn what a difference.

First the negative parts:

• I have no appetite and if I do eat something I don't get a message from my stomach when it is enough. Kind of like that hte comunication between stomach and brain has been severed.
• A light headache in front and at the start of my neck but more I feel a presure there than a real ouch headache.
• I feel less creative.
• I feel smoothed out, no highs or lows.

Good things:

• Way more concentrated.
• Way more focus.
• Less chaos in my head.
• I stay on task.
• No need for constant gratification or distractions.
• When I ride my bike I only pay attention to what concerns me and not everything that is happening on the road.
• I have done all the house chores that normally would take 6-8 hours in only 2-3 hours.

I found turning crossplay off on the server helped our rubber banding a bit. Definitely decreased our latency. We were playing all over the USA though so it was hard no matter what for latency to not suck

I make sap extractor portal route. 2 portals for each extractor, 1 to get there from a previous portal or base and one to go to the next extractor or base.

If you’re blocking and dodging you’ll be ok, it will only make a difference for unblocked hits

Don't be, get a decent buckler and dodge roll.

Also the fenris set really helps against yagluth's fire, no need to drink wine and you are fast so you can easily get out of dodge.

You can also mix up light and heavy armor: heavy helmets don't give movement speed penalty and give more armor rating. My usual setup during Swamp is Iron helmet, Root Harnesk and Troll trousers.

What pairs pretty good with the light armor sets is a knife and a buckler for normal mobs and change it up to what works best for bosses and special mobs.
You can lunge with the knife, do 6* sneak damage and most of the time you can get a full attack cycle trough when the mobs get staggered either by the lunge or the buckler parry.

That is what I do till I get into mistlands, then I go 2 food one stamina till I have full mage set.
Attract mobs with the bow or outright kill them with the bow, once they get close switch to knife and buckler, lunge at them and do a few quick attacks if you staggered them, else wait till they swing and parry, do full attack rotation and back off again.

Same. Where I live in Idaho is semi-isolated but we have tons of agriculture around us. We're famous for our potatoes but the soil here will grow nearly anything. I know a guy that has mango and sour sop trees in his greenhouse that actually bear fruit.

You can get all kinds of good stuff at the local farmers markets. I love the summer especially because we have some of the best cherries and watermelons.

Even now I'm wistfully remembering the cherries this summer and looking forward to next hahaha

@fast trout Sorry didn't log in, until now. Yes we did. There's a creek here that jumped its banks and flooded half of the town, but Asheville looks like a bomb went off. Biltmore Park was practically flattened by flood waters. We were without any form of communication for almost a week. Cable lines got cut and buried, when part of one of our mountains fell down on interstate. Half of the roadway in a different stretch fell down the mountain. Cell towers were knocked out, and service hasn't been restored to all cell providers. Verizon is still down that I know of. ~.~ it is pretty busted up around here.

We were up in a space that was a bit higher ground, but there are still some sink holes on my street in a few yards. The pipes busted, during the storm, which made the ground wash out. Mostly, we had to deal with lack of signal, lack of power for a few days, and just waiting for roads to get cleaned up enough to go out to stores that are still able to function, which there aren't many.

Getting the ability to communicate was a big step. Duke is hoping to have power back to pretty much everyone by some time today, but that depends on what kind of headway they and the National Guard have made. There are 20k troops in here helping Duke and the other power companies atm. @fast trout

We got some bottled water, yesterday, but it's being handed out at certain spots or Walmart is getting it in and selling it. They are rerouting trucks from neighboring states to help our stores.

@fast trout It will be for a while, but it'll restabilize. We had issues like this in spots, after Fred. That storm killed 6 people here... Helene... Across every state hit, so far, the number is up over 200 people. There are several hundred in rural areas that are still missing. We just need to get through this for a few weeks, especially so that the DOT and all can repair damage to power and water lines.

Boiling the water for 2 to 5 minutes kills most germs, which is why it's still safe to use. We still appreciate any bottled water we can find though. Places like Chimney Rock need it the most. Their town got washed away, for the most part.

@fast trout There wasn't any way to have a ready bag for Helene. The water came up in areas that hadn't flooded in nearly 100 years. We had a little time to do some shopping, pre-Helene, but not many people took advantage of that. Atm, there are stores that can ONLY operate by taking cash. The Cell service is so spotty or non-existent that credit and debit doesn't work. You just couldn't be sure who would be affected. Plus, there were over 100 landslides here, which is never something you can be ready for. The ground just gave way under those residents.

The most you could hope for is that you might evacuate, if it was needed, very quickly. And those of us that still have our homes are doing our best to share with our neighbors who have damaged homes. Pretty much every standing church here is hosting people as either a shelter or a food distribution center.

Fred and Helene were much worse and were more historic than Florance and Ivan were. We made it through Ivan quite well, but Fred and Helene hit areas that we never expected would be hit so hard.

Very thankful for my neighbors. There's news reports about how a Florida sheriff was saying write your name in permanent marker on your body so they could recover your corpse easier, but the extent of warning I got through the emergency phone system was a single storm watch notice. I think it's a good idea, in principle, but it only works for people who can actually build something decent. I don't have money to invest in survival gear, medical supplies, and so forth that a Bug Out Bag or Ready Bag might need. I know people who have them here, since we have a lot of hunters here, but It's not something I know how to manage. I've never been camping, I don't fish, and I don't hunt. I'm an Asthmatic that pretty much is never outside because I can't breathe well outside.

You don't have to spend a lot of money or be outdoorsy to put one together. It can help, but only because you get the chance to actually use it more and know intimately what you need if you for example go camping from time to time.

my ex actually disassembled mine, for very stupid reasons but I was dumb and trying to be accommodating, and I had to scramble a bit this last week because of it -- but in a nutshell here's what I generally have put together (since you mentioned you weren't sure what goes into them)

• extra set of dry clothes (underwear, tshirt, swimming shorts, socks etc.) weather appropriate for your area.
• medicine (eg. inhaler for asthma) , toothbrush/toothpaste + few uses of tp + necessary toiletries (keep them sealed in plastic ziplock baggie to keep dry)
• cell phone charger/battery -- there's all sorts of fancy versions with cranks and flashlights etc. its easy to go overboard but keep in mind you just need something basic

thats kinda the essentials

soap/shampoo/towel etc. are also very, very nice to have + hand fan and/or blanket

some food and water that keeps well for a long time is also a good idea, in case you have to move away from home

depending on climate, a blanket is also very useful

water bottle (larger the better -- i've a 40 oz one that I use every day) and snacks, yeah

if you're in a more rural area, you could also consider a decently sized tarp and rope, they can make for pretty good containers, shelters or rain cloaks

You can also get a decent hatchet for relatively cheap. Easy to strap to a bag in case you need a sturdy blade.

anyway It just feels weird. I don<t want to shit on the Devs. but it just feels like they didn<t take the time to play inside the mistland and experiance it. there<s so many things cool about mistland but sooo many things that are just making the biome frustrating and not fun.

Seriously though - you can block ticks, before and after they attach. Dodging is great. You can kind of treat them like Deathsquitoes in terms of strategy.

Honestly, I’d recommend changing the setting that makes it to where you keep gear upon death. Makes corpse run a lot less frustrating and stressful lol

yeah, all that requires stamina, which you don<t have a lot of, because you have to go up and down and around mountains constantly.

Rocks formations generate in such a way that you do not have to get on top of them at all. To avoid struggling to get your body back at any point of the game the trick is to never be far away from portals and ideally always carrying a portal on you at all time

Oh, hell yeh, Mistlands is an awful biome; particularly when you just arrive from Plains and haven't been able to gear through the biome yet. My advice is make the most of any Dvergr you come across - if you draw aggro from anything that's potentially deadly, use the dvergr to assist.

The game also gives you a minute after recovering your corpse where you have corpse run and during that time you pretty much are in god mode

Happy to be corrected, but I think you need to take all items from your 'tombstone' to activate the buff.

Ideally you carry nothing and just press E on the tomb, that way it won't even open, you will just grab everything and get the buff

Then with your weapons, infinite stamina and health regen you should be able to take care of what's around you
