You need to grind a little pineapple in a blender, add a piece of hot pepper and fragrant spices, then grate the trout and let it lie in the refrigerator for a couple of hours, then bake it until tender 😺👌

I have experimented with it, much depends on the fish. You want a solid white fish, one that stays firm and hasn't got an overwhelming fish taste. Dorada works good, either whole fish stuffed with the pineapple spices blend or a filet with skin on, slather the mixture on it, let it sit for a while and grill.
Haven't done it with trout.

That is what I prefer to use, a fish that doesn't flake too easily and isn't overwhelmingly fishy.
Do not try this with salmon or eel, tuna might be ok. Most none flaky white fish will be ok.

Sea bass would do nicely, the sweet from the pineapple will enhance the "sweeter" meat of the sea bass and the spices are a good counterbalance, a dash of citrus into the marinade is certainly a possibility.

I think the pineapple will overpower the citrus flavor, so I'd rather add a little chili, the flavor should be interesting 😺

And I'll cut the potatoes into strips, bake in the gravy 🙀

Oh, and of course a little olive oil in the marinade, I almost forgot 😼

You don't want a citrus taste, you want it to enhance the rest of the flavours. When I do this I use sambal, pineapple, salt, pepper, garlic, olive oil and a dash of lemon juice.
Sometimes I'll add and / or thyme, rosemary, crushed juniper berries, basil or oregano.
Nice idea to bake the potatoes in the gravy.

Hello everyone ! I'm new here since yesterday !
I watched the walk and talk videos on Ashlands and it made me want to play the game again. I came here to find out the release date, well at least, I have the answer. 😂 I have seen that it was in middle of this year. I hope it will be before september (It's selfish but I have a long summer vacation)
I started a new game knowing that we don't have a release date yet. I have about 990 hours and I have never defeated the queen. I have a phobia of insects IRL, this biome is my nightmare. 🤣
My daughter want to play with me she is 7 years old and i don't know if she will make it except if i can turn the monsters on peacefull. She is afraid on minecraft monsters but she like a lot valheim when i play she is always nearby. Have any of you ever try to play with kids ?

I can only imagine, I would not play Val if I had kids tbh, its a rough game and scary at some times. I would go in devmode, turn daylight on (tod .5) and build something nice in the meadows with kids. My perspective on that

She is afraid of the noises of Minecraft monsters but not of those of Valheim. I didn't know you could put it in day mode. This is a good way to start with and if she is comfortable I would consider peaceful mode, because there are a lot of keys on the keyboard as well. Food is the most important part of Valheim. I would rather have food from the current biome and weapons and gear from 2 biomes back than the other way around.

But, it's essentially inevitable so even when you do, don't consider it a failure. Consider it a game mechanic.

If it causes you too much stress, just change the modifiers. Grounded, V-Rising, etc all let you at least keep your equipment when you die while you drop everything else

It's a much healthier and less toxic way to do it than Valheim

Raids are much more tolerable when you don't have to naked death run, and you can cheese 80% of them with a moat

What do you mean? The game isn't an always-online game, you can play it as a single player game to the same effect so I think it's unfair to say you can't enjoy it without spending hours a day playing it. It'll always be there for you when you do have the time and you aren't competing with anyone but yourself.

For some people the fun of the game is exploring / fighting and things that get in the way of that are just tedium. Cutting down on that tedium makes the game work for them. Not saying this is the way all play or is the only way to play though

No not really, it's in beta so it's being tuned, but everything is completely restructured about the game, like playing Skyrim with 2,000 mods, there's still a little Skyrim in there X)
