idk about character issues, but bluescreens are most certainly on your end. if the game was causing it there would be a lot more outcry

That's not how statistics work with something like bluescreens.
and dota doesnt use any resources. so LE likely pushed it too far
Furthermore, Dota may not use some shader LE uses that makes something unhappy, that can be really random
But BSOD in my experience was usually much more related to windows itself than a given game

I haven't had any issues (but I also don't care, it's EA), but if you feel paranoid you can back those files up and/or get Steam Cloud.

i suggest try this: take all the files in this folder except steam_autocloud.vdf, and copy them somewhere else

Don't believe you can. Have to use Rune of Removal if you want to try remove an affix and pray to RNGesus it doesn't remove the Exalted one
its just a split greatsword so I doubt I'll ever use it, but it seems like a cool crafting base

Yeah so you can feel like a beast with a number of builds at 300 corruption (which is where the highest unique drops) but if you wanted even higher xp/rarity in your monos you can push it near 1000, but youd need a ridiculously strong build and solid playstyle. With proper investment "any" build can feel godlike at the 100 corruption range, but then you have the trade off of being gated from the last chase unique(s) and have less xp/rarity per "map"

Yes, all the monolith quest bosses have 3 specific drops, 2 that drop in normal (1 @ 85% chance & the other @ 15%) and 1 that's empowered only @ 10% (but drops in addition to the normal-mode drops)

To calculate the actual hits per second from your % increased attack speed you multiply it by ~1.47 (ish). Then for Warpath you double it.

i dont think the game is fully optimized yet, but its still early access

I mean what does it gain apart from a different attack method?
it allows them to leap up to 8m which is quite a long way

I don't know of anything that buffs minions based on their movement
it's pretty unlikely your zombies die before they get to explode unless you've just invested nothing into int or minion life

when mp comes out all current chars will go to (remain) as solo offline only characters
so youll still be able to play them and use anything you have but its a "soft wipe". Online multiplayer will be a fresh start

Seems it makes you deal crits more often but reduces how strong they are. And gives you ward on crits.
So it's useful for builds that scale off of a lot of crits in some way.
If the zone marker is a hollow circle then there's no portal. Corrupted Lake has a portal that you've not discovered, if you look at the top of your pic.
Like a lot of Rogue builds.
Though the Rogue can get so much crit chance they don't need that ring, plus they don't get much ward retention.

Yes, that build is for the Shadow Daggers proc

Yes, but if the target gets 3 more stacks of Shadow Daggers it then takes an Imperial F###ton of damage from the Shadow Daggers proc.
If you don't like it, you can respec those two nodes

whats the optimal way to craft?
im currently crafting 1 affix to 5 via stability
then using guardian glyphs for the rest
id say its best to go from 1->3 on 2 or 3 of the affixes you need most
with stability, then guardian them up
but it also depends if you need to "top off" a value like crit avoidance or res, vs something thats "nice" but not necessary like HP or inc %dmg
then you can stability 1->2/3 on the necessary one, guardian it to 5, and fill out the rest from there

Is the gold made by those items really "skippable" by hiding all the unwanted loot and the hassle of going back to sell pretty regularly? Thanks in advance
if you pick up trash items and go back to sell them, you're actively losing money cause you could've been killing monsters that drop gold during that time.
Items sell for pretty much nothing, unless it's uniques/set/arena keys.

Depends how fast your build is, but it’s super easy/fast to hit 100 atm. Maybe like 25-30 hours to hit 100 on a fresh character via monoliths
For Storm Crow with the node that says they get buffed by your increased lightning damage, does that work with increases to elemental damage as well?
It should, yes, because it increases your lightning damage
hover over the skill. it shows all the tags that effect it. elemental is fire, cold, and lightning

No, that would, IMO, be a "soft cap", rather than a "hard cap" where the grid the web is based on reaches the end of the coordinate limit.
If you're going to try, I'd do it on the normal (non-empowered) Fall of the Outcasts monolith as that is less likely to spawn a Shade map.

Don't worry, almost nobody actually reaches a point where they have "finished" a web. Each node has a maximum depth. As you go further out, each connection has a higher and higher chance to be a shade of orobyss node which resets the web. If you completely ignore those nodes and just keep doing echoes, it is possible to fill it out fully but it would be kinda pointless and take forever.
You finish the stability requirements to do the quests at like 5% complete.

but also stuff persisting due to same char name sounds like a bug
Stashes and all the associated information are stored in a single file. If you want to nuke one stash et al, you'll have to nuke em all.

Oh yeah this. I already tried deleting honestly this entire folder. Even followed a video guide on how to do it.
I disabled cloud saving entirely, launched game, made a fresh character.
Then was supposed to relaunch steam entirely, turn cloud back on, launch the game and it was supposed to give a prompt pop up saying "Your local and cloud saves are out of sync" and you upload your local which will erase all your old cloud saves
But I never get that prompt to pop up like it does in videos
I don't get it. Legit followed the proper directions 3 times and that prompt never shows up for me

The experience is decent beyond a certain point

Ok, so maybe this'll help someone else. I've forced v-sync in the Nvidia panel and load on GPU went from constant 100-99% to about 80-90% temps sitting around 75 C. It's not the best outcome but it's better then it was. This might also be a bug in the game panel since it didn't respond to any change in it, but did when I forced it via the GFX panel.

3 "hits". First hit outside range, so being mid distance or melee is safe
Second hit is med range, being outside or melee is safe

If you have 3 specific affixes you are looking for and the 4th is flexible (e.g. any resistance), is it possible to highlight that type of item in a filter without hiding extra items that could be shown by less strict lines later on in the filter? The only method I can come up with is
Line#1: Hide Affixes (MandatoryPrefix1, MandatoryPrefix2, flexible suffixes) At least 4 of these
Line#2: Show Affixes (MandatoryPrefix1, MandatoryPrefix2, MandatorySuffix1, flexible suffixes) At least 4 of these
But the issue is that line#1 hides things that you'd probably want to show in a subsequent less strict line

They should work together, and I think they're multiplicative with each other. But they may not be, they may be additive with each other

and each different hit it does leeches a different amount
I would have gone the other way, since it's similar to "Flurry does X% more damage" which would be inherited by the ailment.

Hi. Do certain skills only scale with increase melee "damage type" or increase "damage type". For example, i playing rive void knight, and I was wondering if my rive damage scales off of increase void damage on my weapon.
is the shock chance of a skill rolled separately from shock on hit chance or are they combined % in 1 single roll?

(I cant think of an exception where they arent added together and then rolled but just covering my bases lol)
If you have some flat void damage then yes it would scale with % void damage as well as % melee.

hey i'm min maxing my character atm and i'm trying to find what is the best ratio of flat dodge and increased dodge on gear to get as much of dodge as possible while balancing life/dps. So i'm not too sure if i must take flat dodge or dodge% on my last gear piece. i don't know if it makes a lot of sense but does anyone familiar with balancing flat dodge and increased dodge can help me with that please ?
i know i can test that on last epoch planner but since i'm a bladedancer, i have a lot of flat dodge with perfection and dusk shroud that i don't see on planner, that's my problem right now

hey, havent played in a bit saw on reddit people saying you can level new characters through monoliths now instead of doing the story. i have a character that is already deep in monoliths, but made a new character. how do i access leveling through monoliths? the waypoint is locked ( end of time )
You'd have to progress through the story to unlock the end of time. And while it's possible to do monos around level 25 I think your time is better spent playing the campaign. It's possible to level through monos but I don't see it being significantly faster for most characters.
if you have a good build, monos are faster
you want to do monos for fast lvls when you hit power spikes
otherwise campaign is just as fast and youll need to do it anyway for the idols

my personal experience is that being 30 levels under in mono alongside your slower killing speed due to higher enemy hp/greater danger of dying makes the xp rate worse than continuing campaign until you get into the mid 30s or so
I changed pc's and the save files carried over thanks to steam cloud but not the filters? Am I missing something or am I doomed to recreate my filters?

Kinda. "Before" shadow dagger effect would reduce the number of hits required to proc the damage (getting down to 1 hit @ 250% & above) as well as acting as a more damage modifier.
Now, you will always require 4 hits to proc the damage but they doubled the damage it does so in terms of DPS it's been halved compared to "before".

Just a balancing thing. Each slot has affixes it can and can't have.
It makes different builds prioritize different slots differently depending on the stats they have available

or things like movement speed only being craftable on boots

Yeah, you've got probably...6-7 zones left I think? most of them pretty small
head straight to the objectives, kill stuff along the way if you can, but don't slow yourself down too much with killing excess

That is the patch the number they have indicated but it doesn't mean that it will be preceded by patches 8.3,8.4,8.5 and so on. 8.3 and 8.4 are confirmed but that's it.

Build requires a unique that’s available at level 91. This is impossible, I am completely new to LE
It doesn't require it, he's just giving best in slot
The build can 100% be run without it with just the best bow you can use at whatever point, preferably with a cold damage multiplier affix on it.
The only really unique thing the bow does is add a cast of icicles, which will give you extra damage sure, but ultimately is only a small percent of the total damage dealt
and even if its that bad just lvl a different build till lvl 90

I am stuck in the sapphire tablet quest, there is a time rift that I enter to ruined coast but the zone is empty and there is nothing here of note besides the rift and a WP, what am I supposed to do ?
there should be a path northward that takes you across the decks of some boats to a shore area
following along the shore should take you a named mob and the tablet on the ground

Were you playing with a minion build, died in a monolith & the minions killed the boss for you?
Uhh, no. It's a quest in imperial era during campaign that I skipped and went back to complete latter on cuz it unlocks idol slots.
The whole zone was empty so the quest wasn't completable since its scripted and requires you to kill a boss at the end. had to re-fresh the zone between 10-20 times

For example, in the leap there is a talent ( can provide screenshots if wanted) which says that:
"When you land, you and your MINIONS deal increased damage for 3 seconds. [...]
Global increased damage: 20%."
Someone told me that its not affecting totem. Such things really confuses me. Then the talend just next to that one is kinda the same, but its only me, yet still stated with "Global ...".
Then what i mean with damage: I have no idea what is the best for totems.

Pretty sure totems are minions... they have minion tags... so if that doesn't affect them that tooltip is just wrong.

If you do all the monoliths, you get to... empowered monoliths, which offer more powerful things, so I'd say no.
and if i'm really really interested in the axe that the shade of the orobyss might drop somehow? (idk how, only that he drops it)

you increase it by going out the web and finding the node to fight the shade, yes
does the range how far i was matter or the mods i did him on? because i found him once so far, very far out, but then he was too hard, so i used up all of the mods and fought him with only 1 mod and got 14 corruption
I felt like he was usually at about the same range, but I'm not a mono expert tbh. 😄

Emp monos just give better stuff overall (blessings, etc.), so I recommend getting to them first before doing too much proper farming

Looking the weapon up I don't see anything about it requiring corruption
I suspect it is linked with the drop chance of Siphon of Anguish, which I've gotten many times

how strict is the game on following a guide, is it poe strict where you need to spend 20 hours crafting the perfect build before even bothering to play otherwise you can't progress or it's simpler than that
Just login and play whatever you think is cool/you want to play. No guide needed. You may need to make adjustments, you may need to learn more about the game to clear absolutely everything, but its very friendly
On a surface level, the game is much simpler than poe and you'll be far less punished for going in blind and making mistakes

are all the blessings within one monolith weighted equally? or are some weighted to be rare/harder to get than others?

anyone know the devs thoughts on having blessing be interchangeable on a single character (like pantheons are in POE)? RNG is RNG, i'm used to it but does get annoying running the same monolith or empowered version many times and not even seeing the blessing you want

You don't. You start with 0% block but if you put in points into nodes that add %, it actually adds to the 0.
There's also at least one 2H unique that gives you % block, but it's low level lol

either way, that node makes all of their base damage cold, so regardless of what you add onto it, that base amount is going to be cold damage

The Bleeding Heart unique amulet, plus the Lich has some spell leech nodes as well as generic leech as the mastery bonus

It is not feature complete. It is missing endgame systems, mastery classes, items, quests, etc. What's currently present is good and fun, but the game is ultimately still a work in progress. There are things that will change, things that are bugged, etc.
If you're OK with that, you'll probably enjoy the game.

All items have four affix slots, except idols which have two.
That's misreading the interface. It is just showing where you can add, not all possible spots.
You can have two prefixes and two suffixes.
but it's only 1 prefix 2 suffix
Feel free to try it I promise you it'll let you have two.

if something does + spell cold damage but is a necrotic spell does it do anything to said spell? can it add cold to the base scaling at all? and also does spirit plague hit? didnt think it does but could be wrong
No, Spirit Plague doesn't hit. It wouldn't add the cold tag (which is what the base damage is scaling off) but that added cold damage would be scaled with any % cold damage you have on your gear/passives/etc (but not % necrotic as it's cold not necrotic).

There's no "overkill leech" line on the character screen & the "leech rate" modifier increases the rate at which you leech life, it doesn't affect the amount you leech (from memory).

because my fav armor does not seem to work as intended, even using shatter stirke with no skill points increasing the threshold, and more obviously on my lich using the same armor i just started investing in kill threshold talents but feel like it will reduce my sustain by doing so
No.
"Overkill" is any damage from a hit over & above how much was required to kill the target. Cull only modifies where the "kill threshold" is (normally it's 0% hp, with 10% cull it's 10% hp).
but say the enemy had 12khp i hit for 2.1k which triggers the 10% threshold there is no overkill because it brings enemy to exactly 0?

You won't get it on trash (since you kill them in 1-2 hits) & you won't get it on bosses (since they're so much harder to freeze)
yeah i gave up even attempting to freeze enemies
had to craft a new set of gear because originally i added chance to freeze to stuff then realized it had diminshing returns
i need to have some leech though because ward does not seem as effective as i thought it would be
1k hp 2k ward feeling like 1200 hp
also seems like life leech does not proc unless already missing hp, would be nice if it ticked over at full hp for when ward runs out since it is leech over time, we also need icons for when characters are leeching and also for debuffs on enemy hp bars
another character i play is lich and feels sketchy having to memorize the dmg of my different dots and damned is unpredictable
It does, but if you're not missing hp you won't be able to tell
I like the pacing of the game more than PoE but there are so many unkowns I perform at a much higher level in PoE
there is definatley a delay and feels like i've already procced new overkill leech
losing 2k ward and 500 hp takes a couple of kills to see my hp recover via leech even if my ward has gone back up

so unless you massively overkill stuff it might not be super noticeable
yeah but it is just to help support my hp mainly I use ward as sustain
even dabbing potions once i get to 90 in arena i just instantly get popped
aside from putting on a shield and the increased dmg taken from dual wielding i have good resist
I would lose too much dmg from putting a shield on so would have the same problem i imagine

if ward sustain is your main focus you need at least last steps

using rain dance, last steps of the living would drop my dps down crazy?
i mean, if you have having trouble living you need to drop some dps for tankyness
and if you combine them with exsanguinous you basicly just dont die
exsanguinous is a pita to get tho

if you get those and stack hp you can get a crazy amount of ward. and you gen so much per sec that you dont need any sustain
ward never felt stable enough to go full ll build
because you dont have enough gen
i run around between 1500-3k ward with out those
spellblade is basically the only class I'd consider going low life on
but honestly I'd probably rather have like 2500-ish life with endurance cap and leech
and use ward as a secondary layer

if you're a life-based build, endurance is a must
if hp is main resource, prob need more sustain than overkill leech tho right?
but it does nothing for ward

just hard to find room on gear

can drop an hp roll for it or something
or whatever secondary thing is on your relic/neck
only have room on rings, gloves, ammy, relic, belt
you don't need any affixes for endurance
get some blessings for endurance
spirits of fire has endurance % blessing up to 27%, gloves has 15% implicit
which covers the full 40% you need to cap
ive done fire 3x and only good mod it has shown is fire res lol

100 blessings are generally about twice as strong

sentinel is getting two new skills that we know about, multistrike and void cleave
what do they do
multistrike is a 0 cost melee attack that gets stacks per hit and each stack lets it hit additional nearby enemies. Void Cleave requires a 2H sword or axe, has a small mana cost and short cooldown and does a high damage cleave in front of the player
they've teased some of the nodes too
have not found a build yet for when game goes live for multiplayer and have tried a few
