if you mouse over the skill, it'll have a separate line for the tags that affect the totem/companion. like in this bit. if it has that minion subline, then only affixes that say "Minion" will affect that

and that applies to any type of affix. you'll need 'minion spell damage' or 'minion move speed', 'minion health', etc

If you're talking about the rectangular dot skill there's two components to it. A big circular slam close to him. And then the rectangular dot kinda rolls out from it. So you likely got hit by the slam

Yeah typically you don't want 5 damage skills specced like that, you need some support and defense and movement. Try focusing on lightning blast or static orb and speccing teleport, flame ward, arcane ascendance and either focus or another damage skill of your choosing.

Also, don't use disintegrate. Ever. Lol it's a horrible skill.

Glacier, lightning blast, and static orb are all great offensive skills.

Hi, this might be a bit long , I have a few question regarding scaling/building in general and heartseeker

my friend and I have been following maxroll build so far , warpath and heartseeker respectively , to scale damage in this game ,I think crit are really important , and thus , having line like +melee critical strike chance on the axe, or +crit chance and attack speed on bow to add base crit seems kinda mandatory UNLESS you get some base crit chance otherwhere in your build
but from looking at #👑┃item-showcase , often on those items, it seems that they do not even bother to add base crit chance to things like world splitter ,instead going for lots of void damage and flat damage or stuff like that
am I overrating crit in last epoch? if so , what's the logic (yes I know could I could math out everything , perhaps using a planner like path of building for LE , but looking for the general logic)

as for heartseeker, is the maxroll version basically the "right way" to play it, or is there better version ,did look at high corruption build , but they seem to basically only invest in dodge because at 9k corruption ,everything oneshots anyway , so it's not really a realistic build to run outside of pushing leaderboard (I think , might just don't understand the beauty of zdps) , in case you need some context, this is the build in question https://maxroll.gg/last-epoch/build-guides/heartseeker-marksman-guide (this might be better suited in #🔪┃rogue and I'll repost that part here if so)

Defeating the Shade of Orobyss boss raises Corruption. You can typically find the Shade echoes near the edges of your echo web. If you go in one direction, mostly straight line, you'll hit the edge sooner or later and find a Shade echo.

huh... TIL if you have filter setup window open while there's loot on the ground, apparently it shows you how many filter rules are affecting it (i assume that's what the number is)

In the bottom middle of your screen, on the right, that purple eye with a number 1 next to it is a Gaze of Orobyss you got from defeating the Timeline boss. Those Gaze just keep stacking up. When you fight the Shade, up to 4x Gaze are consumed each giving +12 Corruption.

So as an example, fighting the Timeline boss twice for +2 Gaze and then fighting the Shade is a good way to get 25 or higher Corruption as the 2x Gaze will give you at least 12 * 2 = 24 Corruption just from those.

Also, if you ever reach 8+ Gaze, completing any regular echo that has an empty spot next to it will create a Shade echo immediately.

Yeah it's the filter line number that's making that item show. If the item is hidden, you can hold X key to see which line is hiding it. It's very useful for editing the filter.

Unrelated to any woven echoes, the harbinger will pop in to ambush you a couple seconds after you kill the boss

Yes, defeating the Shade of Orobyss boss does reset that echo web. So if there's something like a woven echo you placed that you want to complete, do it before fighting Shade boss.

There's the base Corruption based on distance from center starting point as well

And Forgotten Knight faction rank 7 gives you an extra +1 Corruption per Gaze, making it 13 per.

Yeah. You can see 3 numbers listed. A base amount that increases if the Shade fight is farther from center, Gaze of Orobyss, and if you have a higher Corruption Timeline then there's also a Bonus Corruption as well.

Yeah there's a couple catch up mechanics. 1. If you have a higher Corruption Timeline and you're in a lower Corruption one, you'll get Bonus Corruption from the Shade fight that will boost you pretty close to your highest - something like 95% of highest. 2. If there's a 40+ Corruption difference or 8+ Gaze of Orobyss, completing a regular echo with an empty spot next to it will immediately create a Shade echo.

Combined you can do something like raise one Timeline higher, then quickly boost the others just by completing one echo and one Shade fight in each.

I'm not sure. I just try to get a copy of the item and Imprint it. Like I'd use CoF Prophcies for unique gloves. Rune of Ascendance on gloves and you'll get extra Rune of Ascendance uses if you use CoF required items. The CoF rank 2 bonus gives a 45% chance for Ascendance to not be consumed on CoF required items

Yeah, they are pretty rare. Ascendance can do any unique or set glove that's a random drop, list https://lastepoch.tunklab.com/roa-chance?t=gloves. CoF unique gloves prophecy would just be random drop uniques, and as there's 3 set gloves in that list, Prophecy would have a slightly higher chance. But I'd just use both. Extra drop chances!

You've always have a Stun chance on Hits that's based on how large your hit was vs the enemy's max health. Bosses get a 50% bonus in the calculation, so you basically need to have a larger damage hit to Stun bosses.

You can run collapsing horizon any time, no pre-reqs except being in empowered.
Now that you have the corruption, you can also fight the harbinger in the timeline boss fight (the one that uses stability)

Congrats! If you wanted to farm that Harbinger, you can just stay there and keep doing the boss fight. If you want to go to another timeline for a new Harbinger, you'll need to raise the Corruption up to whatever is next. You can check by going to Forgotten Knight faction, Harbinger button.

You'll see it listed in the upper left on your echo web. Corruption increases from the Shade boss fight. When you look at a new echo to run, the echo modifiers are listed on the right. The skull and sword symbol with the number is how many echoes that modifier lasts for and they stack. You'll again see them all listed in the upper left.

The Enemy Modifiers are the echo modifiers + Corruption. The Player Modifiers are the increased item rarity total and XP bonus total.

Echoes near the center typically have echo mods that last for 2. But as you go out farther, you'll see some that last longer. Like here's one that lasts for 3

There is a Sanctuary to Eterra echo right by the center starting point that can be used to lower Corruption. You can just sit at the end of it and repeatedly reduce Corruption to whatever you want.

They are just a random drop, but Green Loot Lizards can drop them and Forgotten Knight faction rank 5 bonus gives +20% Temporal Keystone chance from Harbingers. I believe the party uses the party leader's corruption and echo modifiers. The party leader gets the listed echo reward and party members get a choice between two random rewards - just in case the party leader is going for say bow echo rewards and the party members don't use bows. On the Timeline boss fights, it gives the party leader a list of everyone's Stability before starting the fight. If party members have enough Stability, they also get their own boss drops and Blessing choices.

Gauntlet of Strife does let you use Corrupted items as the sacrificial copy. Yes if the Corrupted item gets an extra Legendary affix from the corruption that does count.

Yes that's a good use for unwanted copies if you need higher "potential tier" on them for Gauntlet of Strife. There's just a chance that the corruption could mess up the unique and make it not usable. Set this to Legendary to see possible negative outcomes https://lastepoch.tunklab.com/corrupt, like getting "Turn Set/Unique/Legendary to a Rare Item with Random Affixes" or "Remove Affixes and Change Rarity" would mess it up.

Although what else are you going to use all those extra unwanted items for, so it's still worth it if you need some higher reroll fodder.

I've played season 2, 3, and now 4. But I can never remember since I only do the quest once.

just choose all the nodes that give more champions and drops from champions. the tree is more designed for loot but i guess if you really wanted to, you could get the more stability nodes but i wouldnt. just use temporals (can be purchased by snake lady with timeglass) to fight the boss with a harby needle (3 extra gaze) and at 8 gaze you will spawn a shade immediately after finishing an echo. rinse and repeat

There's 3x Fateweaver: Atropos, Clotho, and Lachesis, all 3 are in Lostwood Folly. If I remember correctly, the Tombs side areas have a random Fateweaver. Although I don't know if those can drop their special items. edit: checked and the Fateweavers do drop their items in the Tombs side areas

You can also try Sepulchre of the Lost. I think there's Fateweavers in that as well.

But if you're trying to farm the Fateweaver drops, Lostwood Folly is likely your best bet.

Yes, the stash macro lvl is for level. Examples
lvl25 shows level 25 required items
lvl10+ shows items 10 and above
lvl50- shows items 50 and below

They also added item type macros in 1.4 and you can combine two macros with &. Examples
gloves&lvl40+ to find gloves that are 40 and higher. And
lvl30-&boots to find boots 30 and below
The macro order doesn't matter for this.

You never have to finish the entire Campaign, unless you want to. You do get +1 All Attributes from both Chapters 9 and 10, but you can skip it if you want. Or get it later.

There's not a level requirement and no lock on the end game Monolith of Fate area. You can enter it as soon as you reach End of Time in Chapter 2, just walk to the right and go in, or even go on at level 1 if a friend warps you there.

There are 15 Passive point unlocks and 8 Idol unlocks that you want to get sometime from the Campaign. But you can always go back and finish that up later. And there's many more unlocks available than you need to cap.

as many as you can, there's no stack limit for poison. the first 30 stacks also give -5% poison resistance each. it might have since changed, but at one point the visual limit for debuffs on enemies would show up to 999, but you can stack past that

@frail inletchoose one monolith that you could use teh bosses items, e.g The black Sun if you need the 2h axe.
Make sure you have atleast 8 gaze(super important) of orobyss, clear an echo and the shade will spawn right next to the echo you cleared. Use needle idol to kill boss + harbringer to gain Gaze of Orobyss fast.
Make sure you are at level 10 Forgotten knights Faction.
Be aware of what echoes you clear before shade, you don't want to add him frenzy, endurance, health , cooldown reduction or what ever makes him harder to kill. Shred armor and rares have increased chance to crit, are a good example of the buffs you can get to not make the fight harder.

Rule of thumb is you never farm the echo you pushing corruption, clear one echo with the best buff you can give the Shade, kill him, repeat.
Use Confluence of oblivion to raise another monolith's corruption and farm that.

For the River Champion's prefix, yes that's drop only from that type of Champion https://www.lastepochtools.com/db/prefixes/AOwo. It drops Sealed on the item and doesn't exist as a crafting shard.

But there's also Doppelganger's Deception Reforged Set prefix https://www.lastepochtools.com/db/prefixes/AJwFg7EA which you can get as a crafting Shard by using the Great Bridge woven echo to Shatter that Set piece. Although it's a prefix for Body Armor instead of Gloves

Favor gain is tied directly to XP gain, even at level 100. So the increased XP from Corruption and echo modifiers helps a lot. You also get increased Favor gain each item faction rank, so that helps as well. And as Rathik mentioned, spending 1 Favor gives you 2 Rep, so spend it to help rank up.

@viscid sprucehere is an example, if you need 100k rep to rank up, farm 50k favor, go spent it all, and you will rank up, now you gain the benefits of the new level plus the 5% increase favor gains.
So always mind how much rep you need to level up, when you have half that in favor go spent it.

Up to you! Combining those two makes all the targets generic things like: any boss, nemesis, champion, exiled mage, and omens were also added as a target this season. There's also stuff like siege golem and diamond matron in there which are only in certain timelines, so I usually just skip those.

friends, question: i spend way too much doing monoliths before orobyss spawns. I'm using the echo chain weaver node, if that's relevant. I am now like 5 chains away from the center and nothing. i have 2 gaze. unfortunately i dont have the confluence of oblivion woven echo so i cant use that.

how do find orobyss faster?

Look at the search bar, I have 2 of them full with +1 shadows, all the gloves are highlighted, go run the champions omen, the 75 cost one you get from omen window, and you will get at least 2 drops.
The imprint works just fine.

Champion's Colisseum is the 3x Arena bosses. For the champion affixes, there's things like Pillar of Skulls woven echo, Bloodline Glade woven echo, and Pinnacle of Chaos echo chain. There's also a lot of nodes in the Weaver tree for extra champion spawns

Bloodline Glade is also a lot harder than Pillar of Skulls, but you can get T8 champion affixes from that - if you wanted that and aren't using a Primordial unique

pinacle of Chaos is the best farm for altars, hands down. Specially on COF, since the devs ignored as again and didn't add prophecies for them.

Rampant Coast woven echo, but it's a much lower Imprint proc rate now and expensive to buy. You can also take Crystal Growth node in Weaver tree and the extra rift beast stuff like Age of Beasts and Primordial Ambush. I think I got some from Bloodline Glade woven echo as well

32 * 1.47 * 100 = 4,704 increase damage

with the other it would be
32 * 1.67 * 100 = 5,344 increase damage.

Eternity Cache ignores Sealed affixes. So you can put an item with a Sealed affix in there, but it's going to be completely ignored. That does open up using Glyph of Despair as a removal tool for Legendary crafting, though.

Best way, imo, is using beast rifts

just always select "rune" or especially "rare rune" when available, and do beasts whenever you can

I usually just go for it. As you only get 1x guaranteed to transfer and then it's a 1 in 3 chance the second one you want transfers. So if it's only going to work out the way you want 33% of the time, eh, I just try it it. Although now with Corruption you can maybe also get something interesting at the end as well, if it doesn't ruin the item. It does help if you're ok with any of the other affixes transferring as well.

Yeah that's ok. The seasons last like 3+ months, so you've got plenty of time until the next major update. I think they want to do 3-4 months, but some have been much longer than that as it took a while to get the new stuff ready

The new stuff in season 3 was the rift beasts and primordial uniques / primordial t8 - which you can only have a total of 1x of either one

Permanent. Rift beasts have 8 evolutions before ending lineage and after doing 1x Rampant Coast they now have 9 evolutions

Welcome, they're about the only things you can't transfer, outside of the normal Sealed restrictions. Like you can transfer Experimental affixes. But not Champion affixes are those are Sealed or T8 Primordial which are also Sealed.

Decoy does a taunt in the area around it. Just lasts a short time though, maybe a few seconds or something
