The favor is account wide. The only thing you can do to save it if you want to switch factions is to have an alt. Example - 2 CoF characters - You want to switch one to MG - Spend the favor on prophecies on the character that you're keeping CoF - Switch other character to MG. I don't think EHG is going to change that since they want you to have a penalty for switching factions.

Nope, it is a mechanic meant to force you to experience at least a bit of boss mechanics. Can't do anything about it. I believe if you push your damage really high, you can kill it before DR kicks in. Which is first 2 seconds I believe.

There is 1 exception to my message above. If a skill gets increased damage from an attribute (like 4% increased damage per dexterity), the ailment it applies also gets that scaling. But this is only for increased damage.

Works just like any other slam. Any affixes just needs to be T6+, the experimental does not have to be T6+. Only exception is that it can't be a sealed affix since it ignores those.

Basically - I only upgrade when I start to struggle. The gear you find at lower levels especially upgrades in increments so quickly that you can waste hours assessing and re-equiping and balancing your gear. Until you find the game difficult, don't even worry about gear. Just have a quick look to familiarise yourself with the kind of stats that are available and move on

Nah don't worry about vendors, just keep an eye on items that drops. One thing is the item base (type of mace, type of body armor, type of ring, etc). Better bases start dropping in higher area levels. That's a thing to keep an eye out for. Other is useful modifiers. Does an item give you like, % increased physical damage, % increased melee attack speed, and a resist or two? Sounds good if you are dealing physical damage with some melee skill

Personally I'm not a big fan of trading, so I roll with CoF. But it does also mean I won't get exactly what I need all of the time and can take a long time farming certain specific things in end game

I went MG for a few reasons. The largest of which was being able to swap gear with friends for 0gp. But that requires that they have the adequate level for the kind of gear you're giving.

Another reason is that when it comes to crafting bases for legendary crafts/gear improvements later on, I prefer being able to just buy the exalteds that I need than wait for them to drop randomly.

Third and final reason is - I enjoy the trading minigame. This is probably the largest deciding factor after trading with mates. I get a buzz out of finding something that I can sell to make the numbers go big 🙂

Weapons typically give +melee damage or +spell damage; these don't contribute to your throwing damage. You can get +throwing damage on belt, gloves, relic and amulet, rings, and such

Hey mates, can anybody recommend a decent guide to Empowered Monoliths & Corruption, please?
I've been trying to wrap my head around it, but it's difficult for me to keep all of it straight.

I've beaten all of the Level 58 - 90 Monoliths
and clicked the thing so they can be Empowered now,
and I've been working my way through an Empowered one.

But now there's 100 Corruption,
Quest Echoes and Optional Quest Echoes on the left,
Gazes of Orobyss,
Vessels of Memory and Chaos,
and I don't know what else.

The spike in difficulty was pretty sharp, but I finally dropped my fun build for one of the meta ones and I can mostly survive now, but I'm not sure how to work towards... whatever I'm working towards.

The basics are:

Empowered just means level 100.

Higher corruption = higher difficulty but better chance of higher tier loot.

Gaze of orobyss means that you get 10 bonus corruption when you defeat a shade of orobyss to increase your corruption level. You get the node amount +10 per gaze. You get the gazes by defeating the monolith boss for that timeline.

The vessels do various things, but the tooltip describes what. I believe chaos re-rolls the rewards available and memory allows you to re-do the nodes you've already completed for the same rewards again.

You're working towards incrementally better gear, so as to keep climbing corruption levels. Ultimately, even with the best gear and best build you will tap out as the gear doesn't scale indefinitely. This is one part of the current end-game. The others being arena racing and farming dungeons.

As far as i know the echo optional quests do nothing. The quest echo boss that you unlock at the 3rd quest echo is what I mean by boss. When you do that you get +1 gaze. When you attempt a shade of orobyss at the edge of the monolith web, you'll get 1 shot with the gaze. If you die you lose the current gazes taht you have and will either need to do the boss again if you want the bonus, or just do the shade of orobyss and get whatever value the node has on its own

The rules apply from top to bottom. 1st rule gets applied then 2nd rule would overrule 1st rule if there is something to overrule

Hi, i just have a quick question on the affixes, i'm playing a throwing build and i have 2 ring to test : 1 T6 throwing mana cost (so -4 cost) and a t5 mana regen. the thing is that when i equip my T6, my skill tooltip go from 16 mana to 15 instead of 12, and when i use my skill i go from 172 mana to 158 instead of 156 with the mana regen ring. So maybe i missed something but it seems that the reduction is lower than it show. Furthemore, when i spam click, i can use 18 trap with the mana regen ring when using all my mana and only 19 with the cost reduction ring. After spending all my mana, the mana regen ring allow me to go to full mana in 10 sec instead of 13 which seems a lot to me. My question is : isn't the trhowing mana cost reduction too weak in regard to the number i get ?

Purple items in game are Exalted - items that have at least one T6+ Affix. Orange items in game are Unique. Legendary is a Unique with Legendary Potential - LP - that's been upgraded and those are colored Red in game. In addition to looking for Exalted items that are an upgrade to you, you're also looking for LP Uniques that your build uses and Exalted items of the same general type to combine with them. Push G for for the in game guide and search for Legendary for details.

To clarify, you need Exalted items that are upgrades to you and you need LP Uniques + Exalted item to combine in Legendary items. I personally like keeping 1-2 of each Unique item, which I replace with LP versions when I get them. But you don't have to do that. One option is to just not pick them up if you're not going to use them. Same with Exalted items. Keep the ones you're going to use with your build(s) or use with LP Crafting. It's up to you.

That's LP Chance. I think they were asking about the general drop rate. It just says things "Random Drop (Common)" for those. Looks it just says Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Very Rare for the Random Drop stuff.

Edit: I guess some of these if you mouse over that Random Drop (Common) it does list a reroll chance. Others it just says 0%. Not sure why some aren't listed.

yeah check your memory usage in task manager the next time it's spiked. if you're sitting at more than like 8gb it's prob leakin. memory uses power, and if most games don't have a leak, you'll see higher consumption than normal. GPU/CPU always spking but in LE with a leak, your memory is ALSO eating power it doesn't usually eat

Hi,

I'm starting a support paladin build, but it seems some things aren't working.
I'm playing Javelin with "Battle Standard" node, which is supposed to increase allies damages by 2% for each attunement point I have.
It seems that this does not work because the damage is not increased at all, at least not to the expected value. At the time of testing I had 99 attunement points, which should increase damage by around 200%, this is not the case at all.
But that's not the only issue, for example shield throw "Aegis" node increased by 500 armor point when it triggers on an ally, supposed to be augmented by 6% for each attunement points with the "Testament of light" node. Same thing, I had 99 attunement, wich is more or less 600% increasing "Aegis" node, and it only gives 550/600 armor to my allies.
Same thing for Sigil of Hope, 25% damage for allies with "Empowering Sigils", can cast up to 5 sigils at a time, and its seems not to work.

As far as Forge crafting goes, yes. If you don't want the Elemental Damage you can either: 1. use Glyph of Chaos to try to re-roll it, 2. use Rune of Removal to attempt to remove it - risky, 3. use Glyph of Despair to attempt to Seal it which would free up that slot for you to craft something you want instead. Chaos and Despair can only be used on T1-T4. Once the Affix is T5+, the only thing you can use is Removal. Or Shatter.

I'm struggling to fully understand the crafting system and have watched a bunch of guides now. Can somebody tell me if I understood the crafting / looting steps correctly please:

Sell:
any orange or green items I do not need
any items that do not have any stats I desire

Shatter:
any items that have stats I desire that are low tier (ie lower than tier 3)

Remove:
any items that have stats that I desire of a decent tier

Keep:
orange and purple items I want to "max out"
any purple items with the desired stat combination of my "max out" items that are the same type as the max out item (ie I need a purple helmet if I want to max out another purple or orange helmet)

Upgrade by crafting in town:
the purple items I want to use to upgrade my max out items
the purple items I wish to max out

Upgrade using the thingie at the end of a dungeon:
use an upgraded purple item (that has the desired stats maxed out but is not an item I want to use as is) with a unique -> the unique will pull stats from the purple based on potential

Also: while checking for specific uniques I requite and where to find them, some are listed as "Random Drop (Rarity)". Does that mean they can drop literally anywhere? There are some that say Random Drop (Common) and I haven't seen a single one of them even though they're level 5+ and I'm almost 70.

Orange (unique) items can't be changed through any means I know of unless weaver or legendary potential. Weaver will change on it's own as you kill things with it, and legendary can be upgraded through a means I don't know.

Selling items is pointless, they have no significant value. Just don't pick them up. Setup a proper loot filter so you hide anything you don't need.

Shattering is better the higher the tier, the shards you can get is based on the tier. You really only need to shatter rare affixes though, like +skills and hybrid health and penetration. The rest are common drops. Rune of removal will always get you maximum shards, but you'll often run out of these runes and just have to shatter. No reason to hold on to items to wait to remove.

Most uniques are random drop but there are a lot so even if it says common it's still a big pool of common uniques. You are only just beginning.

You unlock empower monos when youve completed all timelines, they have a little level number beside them and 90 is highest. After that theres empowered monos, you could also do a higher level dungeon or arena to farm exp

you should always push as high as your build can go and then keep pushing, treat your struggle to level area 100 like you're a Dragonball Z character in a training arc

just keep going. only 1 way to find out. keep pushing. if u get any shortcomings, then adjust ur gear. but the whole point is to keep pushing foward.

You have also corruption which boosts the exp but also makes it harder

you definitely want exsanguinous + last steps + frostbite shackles on your build though for high ward

Well 200 people is less then the entire player base so if a majority of people aren’t encountering these issues then it’s more of a problem on our end then theirs. And yes they are aware of fixing it or yes it’s a problem that’s out of their control

u complete an echo to gain stability, then u do the timeline quest, correct. once u kill the timeline's boss u can progress to the next timeline

You keep your rank in case you want to switch back, I believe you lose everything else. You'll need to unequip your CoF gear before you can switch.

One option, in Steam -> Right click on Last Epoch -> Properties -> in the General tab, under Launch Options set Play Full Offline.

Note you can't take Offline characters Online or vice versa.

You can't use the gear that lists a different faction on it. So look through your gear and see what shows the purple CoF symbol and rank number in the lower right corner. You'd have to unequip those items to be able to switch. You keep your rank, in case you want to switch back, but yes I believe you lose your favor and prophecies.

If you get items that list the MG symbol in the lower right and then switch back to CoF, then yes, you'd again not be able to use that other faction items.

As long as it's not a CoF item, yes. The regular LP crafting rules apply. Needs to be an Exalted with 4 Affixes and the same general item type. You can't mixed required classes and you can't mix item factions.

Yeah the answer is "you can switch if you really want to, but it's a lot of work and you'd have to start the new item faction over". You might be able to buy many of the items from the Bazaar after you got MG rank up.

Hi friends, I have a crafting question. I just found a belt with 1 stat, but its a good one. Is this a good item? Can I craft it into something nice? On one hand I can really curate this thing now, but on the other hand I'm pretty likely to blow through all my forge points on it pretty fast.... is a single affix item ever really desirable as a crafting base?

You can possibly get an item with a single T6-T7 Affix and nothing else. But yes, it can be difficult to craft the remaining 3 Affixes up to T5 without running out of Forging Potential. Glyph of Hope is 25% chance and there's 5% of Critical Success.

For items that say they drop from specific bosses, such as the unique idol "Throne of Ambition" that drops from God Hunter Argentus - can these ever be obtained from Circle of Fortune prophecies, or are the prophecies only good for obtaining random unique drops?

Entirely up to you. It's probably going to vary based on what type of content you're working on, your build, your item Affix pressure, etc. Resistance Shreds are 5% per stack, 10 cap, but there's also a note on them that they have 60% less effect against players. Same with Shock and same note. Marked for Death is -25% All Resists, although you usually only run into that as an echo mod. I personally just get my Resists around 75-ish, unless I'm pushing an uncapped Resist for some item or passive scaling. But then I'm also not pushing super deep corruption, I'm just around 300-ish currently.

No, it's just from that boss. Even if you get a Prophecy that says to kill that boss, the Prophecy would just give you some extra not-boss-only drops.

I don't know if I've ever seen one higher than that. I'm not sure what the cap is or if there is one. I usually just do the Shade when I have 2-3 Gaze and the Shade Corruption is around 10-15.

If you hold Alt or Ctrl+Alt does it tell you? You can look up Affixes here https://www.lastepochtools.com/db/ and https://lastepoch.tunklab.com/affixes. Just note that sometimes items have different scaling of the Affixes, if select one and scroll down you can see that. For example the values on a Body Armor will be higher than say a Belt.

@celest wasp It means what it says. You can't use that faction items if you're not in that faction. You can look in the lower right and if it shows the faction symbol with a rank, it requires that faction.
