Diablo 2 was the only game that really existed in its niche for a good while and was the only one with resetting leaderboards. It's borderline dead now outside of modded communities that have adopted the seasonal style.

Does Spellblade have uniques that alter the elemental damage of their mastery spells? Like turning Shatter Strike into lightning or fire dmg? Couldn't find one at all.

i would agree in general sense, but i feel like older arpgs handled boss mechanics and defenses very differently compared to newer arpgs. newer arpgs basically have 'lifeline' type of defenses, nearly mandatory movement abilities, dodgerolls etc, and bosses that have these telegraphed attacks that you need to dodge or die even if you are some armored badass rather than RPG your way out of it by building defenses like in the old days. it does make arpgs a bit more active and engaging, but i think soulslikes influenced the shift of arpgs towards such bosses atleast slightly.

What happens when you take physical damage while wearing both Ravenous Void and Orian's Eye? Does part of it first get converted and reduced from gloves and then that damage gets converted and reduced by the amulet?
Nope. conversion only happens once. SO all your void will be converted to fire by Orian and then a portion of your phys will be converted to void and that's it.

Yeah, Maehlin's converts all bleed chance from all sources (although it can't convert bleed chance that was converted from another thing, since conversions only happen once)

was watching a video about crafting. and on how to craft uniques into legendaries. the video then talks about how when u get an exalt and u want to reroll a prefix into something u want with chaos because its something u dont want, but instead u can just lock that prefix and add the one u want.
but what's the point of locking Up something you don't want, as an alternate way to not use chaos? or is this something someone should never do, but to lock away an affix u want and add another so u have 5 stats u want ? then possibly merge it into your legendary ?

The affix you are sealing leave an empty slot. So now you can craft smth you want and not rely on rng to get a specific affix.
It a little bit more "expensive". Sealing usually cost more FP. And the glyph for sealing are rare-ish. More rare than chaos

Are you asking about how to optimize LP farming? LP chance is (until 1.0) solely based on area level vs the unique's effective level for LP. So, the best strategy is to farm in a max level zone (100) and get as many drops of the unique as you can by killing fast and building increased item rarity as high as you can without slowing down.
The best specific location to farm in just depends on the unique you want
to clarify, i like the blessing that gives more unique drops so i can see more items with LP. i dont have any uniques in particular in mind I just like finding LP

It's probably wrong, tooltip tends to overvalue cast speed and ailment chance.
(Don't take tooltip as the end all be all, it's a very, VERY rough guideline)

you need to understand how damage calculation works in general aka 3 stages: flat damage, more damage and increased damage
then youll figure out whats good and whats not

tooltip is bs and rarely represents anything accurately
in your case most likely you dont have any cast speed on the gear so the implicit is better than increased damage
check the ingame guide on damage calculation, you can do it online or in game itself
its detailed
but tldr, flat damage is almost always biggest boost, more damage is always good and all increased damage sources are counted together as one thing so its least important one
cast speed and crit can be treated same way as more damage, since they are separate multipliers from increased damage
also there is big difference between increased damage on gear/passives and increased dmg on skill tree

That is flat damage yes. It's bigger than you think because that flat damage is added to your damage first and then increased by all your % and more modifiers.
So if you have a base damage of 10 and 50% increased you have 15 damage, but if you have a base damage of 14 and 50% increased, now you've got 21 damage. Just low numbers as an example.

"more" multipliers are usually found on skill trees, not items. But there are some unique items with more multipliers as well. Here's an example:

There are relatively few 'increased damage' effects in skill trees, when it doesn't specify increased, it's more. Sometimes the game uses increased and more interchangeably in long descriptions, but the stat lines are usually more accurate.

Hello everyone. I finally got a gaming pc again and a friend recommended Last Epoch to me since I really enjoyed Path of Exile and every Diablo game. Now my question would be how hard it is to get started in Last Epoch. Path of Exile was just pretty overwhelming at first, then I didn't play for a while and never got into the game because it was too complicated 😄

LE is very friendly to jumping in blind, especially if you've played the Diablos and some PoE it should be pretty easy to get started

I tried to get a feel for a build I might like but I was just overwhelmed from what I found and of course also didn't even understand most of what I found
If you share some of what your playstyle is and what you like we can give you some guidance to at least find some vids or guides
Nothing wrong with that, everyone enjoys games differently - since it's friendly for going in blind, going in with a plan is definitely also possible

And if you've found a build online, we can always give you a sanity check as to whether it's do-able on a first character
But the other side of that coin is that the best way to learn a lot of those things that confused you is...by playing
Well to give you an example from D4 which is the latest ARPG I played. I loved the shapeshifter druid there
I usually enjoy builds that can be played solo. I don't mind being part of a group of course but since I played D4 on PS5 due to the lack of a gaming PC, I mostly played solo because communicating was a pain without a keyboard
Well I am not a primalist player but I can tell you that primalist here is d4 druid on steroids
You can shape shift, play with minions, shapeshift and have minions that do things when you do things, play just minions, play a caster, play a caster with minions.
To add to that, outside some super-niche meme builds, all builds can be played solo
you have a guide for that? and is that beginner friendly / good for levelling?

ah that's a bug
some rings got converted into having an armour suffix a long time ago when anathor affix got removed from their table, but they can also drop rarely
with armour
Rings with potion finding had that stat changed to added armor, since potion find was removed from rings
Yeah, theoretically it isn't and never has been a valid affix on rings, but apparently it can rarely appear as a drop-only thing
yeah i've dropped one, hopefully it'll get fixed so people don't cry about it after release when they realize that someone might drop a ring with armour that they can't get their hands on
the list of gear for added armour doesn't include rings tho

like on some skills, if used a certain way, the dps tooltip is actually accurate
but 95% of the time it's not 
like for example on sentinel there is not even 1 skill that has accurate dps tooltip
the only one i can for sure say is accurate is hit shatter strike, dot shatter strike is prob busted
hammers enrya version is the closest to accurate but it is not since it doesnt count shred
the reason i know is because i was able to get the dummies max hp by killing it before tunk confirmed it to be 1 billion
and every time i make a dps change the tooltip changes the expected amount
but yeah very few skills are actually accurate
i dont think it can be accurate cause it doesnt count armor shred, which is enemy debuff

if the tooltip was made like how I'm suggestion you'd atleast know the dps of the skill itself while holding it down on an enemy, if you want to know your boss dps you can go to a dummy and see the amount of ailments you're applying and calculate it accordingly, if you want to know for a normal enemy you can go kill one and check how many hits it takes. yes it's a more manual way of doing it but it's by far the most accurate we can get without having a dummy just spitting out our dps for us, which we won't get

After watching some videos, I've picked up the game despite not having the best controller support. I'll figure a way of maing it work in time (I have a steam controller and the touchpads on it might make navigating "as mouse" functional given time). I have another quite specific question for the community now.
Context: I've played about 250 hours of Wolcen
If I'm starting out should I make offline or online characters? Is there a way to make an online character into an offline one if I find I don't play with other players much? I always start out with the best intention of playing with others, but most ARPGs can make that hard, or near impossible to do given server stability and lack of decent matchmaking. Only in Diablo 3 and 4 have I had much success playing online with other people, but Wolcen, Grim Dawn, Inquisitor Martyr and most other ARPGs I've played the online component is so very lacking that I end up playing 95% of the time alone. Would you recommend, based on this that I bite the bullet and just start in offline mode?
I have tested both modes with some starter characters and notice significant performance improvements playing in offline mode (particularly when transitioning between zones). Does LE suffer the same problems Wolcen does with respect to game lag when doing large amounts of damage, (dots, reflected damage etc) in online mode?

Those are legendary items, you have to make them. It's a whole thing. They're very much endgame items, I wouldn't worry about them quite yet.

Hi guys, are the any special settings? Cuz I have 3060 video graphic card, yet there are huge problems with fps especially on maps with arenas and other maps with many details on them (where are a lot of mobs, etc). The usual fps is 60-90 (high), but there are certain cases I described where it drops drastically, like 2-3.

hey there. first time shade of orobyss for me rn. getting killed by this blood drain which i can't seem to stop or heal against, just non stop draining until i got no more pots. what to do?
So my friend just came back to the game, he played for last 3 years ago.
We jumped in a party to lvl together but he has a problem, he is not able to pick up any loot.
He told me had this problem before too. Does anyone have any idea what the problem can be ? He is going to re-install the game and see of that is going to fix it.
The blood effigy is a killable thing in the middle of the arena that only spawns on phys orobyss fights
any rare/useful idols that I should add to my lootfilter? other than lighting aegis and flame wraith

Guys, has anyone encountered such a problem? Vessel of Chaos doesn't work. When I enter a location I don't have a quest, so I can't complete it. I tried going through other echoes, tried clearing the location, but nothing worked.

porting in and out does work, you just have to keep doing it until it gets an objective it's able to spawn

i think offline is 100% the way to go unless multiplayer is very important to you. the multiplayer works, but i dont do it that often so i switched to offline to have less bugs, faster loading, and no ping
i never had issues with online play, but i also played only solo
19-30 ping, fast loading times dont even see any difference from offline
but im also in NA, from what i heard not na servers are way worse

You will have another choice later on, make sure you take the higher lvl again

You don't need to go again and unlock them. Once you reach empowered they all unlock
When you complete an echo quest, you don't get items from the chest, but some kind of glitter. Is that just exp or something else?
It's not exp, maybe your loot filter is hiding everything from the chest

Weird, exp is not like that, and the big chest doesn't give any. Exp is a bunch of books
I'll make a video on the next one, there's no nugget in the middle of the room to loot, and the chest doesn't yield loot just something sparkling.
The middle is normally the echo reward, and quest echoes don't have one.
Yeah, I figured that was the case. But there a chest to open and a graphic, but no loot. Thought it was maybe something else.
Ok all i have a question that has probably been asked amillion times...... i am playing multiplayer with my buddy and we are having issues moving our corruption together. Is this supposed to be the way the games is played since multiplayer was just added? i understand they would not want people boost but jeez it doubles the time you have to move up corrution.

Technically mage has minions but they don't really deal dmg
