God bro we are talking about the fact that I am farming a 2lp sword for myself, I took all the blessings for it, and a special region, for 1.3+k cards I did not see a single 2lp sword, moreover, I only received about 8 1lp swords. the same result was at 300-500 corrupta. That's why I have questions, which karrupt need to be conquered in order to get lucky drops?
Iโ€™ll also progress my build and itโ€™s not cheap. 1 try for a legendary costs on average 25kk, but with each upgrade I get the same amount. if you take it, everything is clear there, I put together a build with little cheap farming and so on. I don't understand here

Huh, I was thinking of trying out Forge Guard, lol. Anyways, the whole reason why games buff and nerf things is to change the meta, at least that's the game philosophy of PoE. So FG might not be meta atm, but later on, it might become more relevant.
It wouldn't be good game design, and would be a very dull game, if the meta is very consistent or constant throughout the timeline of multiple years.

I get this. But how things are perceived on YT etc is way different. Given the algorithms etc. And this influences so much, it can and does ruin lives, games, most of things it touches. Basically, use it either for need or for fun, but don't rely too much on it. Because they don't peddle truth. And even if they did, subjective experiences might render it all unimportant. What I am trying to say is "try to not miss out on things because of social media".

But yeah, I agree, social media is a dangerous place, and there are still legal and public issues with it in these modern times.
However, I think the issue is the wielder of the tool, and not the tool itself.
Powerful tools are pointless without great wisdom...

Agreed. It's far too easy to misuse these and up hurting oneself. As for the Forge Guard, its numbers are really, but really solid, if not good. Should it receive more streamlining of passives and other QoL? Yes. But buff? Eh. I wouldn't say so. Maybe more health on Forged Weapons. Because, look, during leveling, if you are doing it properly, you end up with like 15 weapons that each does 500 damage and attacks twice / second. Go figure it out! 15000 dps lol. The only place where it could need help is way up, above 90 or something. Besides QoL, ofc. But listening to social media, you would think that it don't function at all.

what do you mean? how is poe different when you play ssf? what reward are you asking for when playing ssf? do you drop mageblood every hour when playing poe ssf?
sure poe trade is better, no deny, but a trade system that has more suppliers will naturally be better, not mentioning that CoF is kinda overtuned, making MG players feel worse in comparison
in LE, CoF is kinda too good it sucks away trade playerbase, thereby reducing trade quality and quantity

In my opinion path of exile is perfect made for ssf. Its alot fun to craft and farm your own items. With trade its also way to easy. Also Its fun to progress faster in ssf then most trade Player. i dont want a special ssf bonus to get everything faster

the whole game has never been designed with ssf in mind, at all, everything about the drop rate has always revolved around trade, thus resulting in abysmally and artificially low drop rate
people play ssf in poe because they want to farm their own stuff, never ever because drop rate in ssf is "perfect", in fact they have to deal with the low drop rate as a punishment just so they can find their own stuffs, the kind of drop rate they endure but definitely not enjoy
most of them, including famous ones like ziz or steelmage, explicitly said that poe drop rate is terrible for ssf players and CoF in LE feels much nicer for them as ssf lovers
there should be no punishment if you want to find your own stuffs while playing arpg, it should feel fun to find your own stuffs, not frustration

Sorry but I ain't ever going ssf in poe. It sucks really bad unless you know what you need to do. And I don't have neither time or patience to learn some punishing mode. CoF is way better than poe ssf imo.

Completely off-topic, but the community here is just so nice so I'll ask away, mod please delete if not the right place. My PC is having a hard time handling multiplayer on LE, so I'm looking to upgrade a large part of it (CPU, MB, RAM) (but keep my 3080Ti GPU). The choice of processor will have a massive impact on the choice of the rest of the components and overall I can't really choose. I use my PC for gaming but also work, but nothing intensive like rendering, I can afford to spend money but I want to see value for my bucks. Most Benchmark are hailing the Ryzen7 7800X3D , but is the increased gaming performance worth it, while MB compatible cost is higher and RAM management seems to be better with Intel. What do you recommend?

I would recommend an i7. Affordable, strong performance. AMD seems to have the most problems in LE so I wouldn't recommend it. You could go i9 if you really want to, just make sure you have a good cooling solution.

I did play ssf actually, after I was done with trade league, wasn't a fun experience, feel no different from playing ssf in d2 with similarly punitive drop rate
It's true I got a lot to learn, but it doesn't change and will never change my thought that poe ssf drop rate is terrible
It may surprise you but I hate trading in general, and if somehow they raise drop rate of ssf in poe2 for example, I will never touch trade league

From what we know so far, they're simplifying crafting by making individual gear slots affected by fewer crafting systems, putting an emphasis on picking up dropped gear by removing scours (and maybe full rerolls, don't remember), and making swapping easier by moving links from gear to active gems

This is too often forgotten, it's the same in business software (which I've been doing for over a decade as a developer) we have 0 influence on pricing structures etc, most times we do not get to pick what enhancements get added to what major version (usually dictated between customer requests and our bandwidth combined with what leadership sees as important) - and even bugfixes etc get priorities assigned to them outside of the dev team based off of what's viewed as business critical (and even then the size of the customer really weighs in on this... something that is literally slowing down business processes for a smaller customer might be pushed aside for a PDF not generating properly or something aesthetic for a larger customer). Guess it depends on the size of the company. What you said is definitely true for mid->large. At startups though Iโ€™ve found myself having a lot more freedom (read pressure) to do what I deemed important. Often that aligns really well with the business goals already though.

Oh yea, for sure. I was one of the first US side devs for this software, back when we were < 30 employees and the Owner was actually just the guy who conceptualized the software we had way more freedom. We grew to a point though where that was almost chaotic. Eventually we got bought out by a much larger company and while the chaos was less, our control on what we worked on was also less and less as we integrated over the next few years. I'm used to it now, and kind of enjoy just having a project manager who moves things around the board. @copper pawn we're not publicly traded, but our customers pay 120k->350k a year for the software so the larger ones could probably be viewed as our shareholders in that sense.

back when we were <30 employees we also only had like 10-15 customers in the US. Now it's closer to 50 or so customers globally all varying in size. The smaller sized customers are the one who pay the lower cost for the software, larger pays more (it's a sliding scale based off of how many deals they close, so they make more money, we make more money etc lol). I don't know the specifics at this point, haven't seen what the contracts look like now. More customers require more control though, we had this terrible habit when we were the smaller team to have the customers on their own custom branches, so we'd have to fix something 8 or 9 times and try to back port it or refactor it based off of their custom coding etc. Now we have EOL policiies etc. I wanted to be a game dev in college, was the whole reason I went for Comp Science in the first place (didn't have dedicated game dev schools back then like full sail or w/e) - but the more I see how game devs are treated the happier I am with being in the business sector. Plus it pays more for the most part >.<

the pawns are pretty much AI-driven and you don't have to do much as far as managing them beyond picking ones that compliment your profession. they are sort of like the palico in Monster Hunter (a little more control than that, but overall you don't have to micro them or w/e)

PoE is definitely a game that takes a long time to really get a feel for. It took me just over 50 hours to complete the campaign and get to the maps, but by that point, I didn't enjoy the game anymore. I found it to be far too frustrating. I was having too much of an issue killing things, but the most important thing about that game is your first character is going to be really bad.

I enjoyed it up until around act 6 or 7? Maybe? I was playing a Templar and wanted to go for a melee centric build. Around that point in the acts, I would just get dumptruck'd if I let anything get in my face, so I had to run around and kill things with fire brand. I hated playing like that, cause you're essentially just playing like a caster, but it got the job done. I feel like had I just put more work into resists and armor, I could have kept my melee style. That is definitely a game that takes a lot of patience and understanding. I think if you dislike LE, PoE would just be way worse, unless you're willing to put a lot of work into "getting" it.

Yeah this was like how to bypass the story on alts, so I guess they expect you to be kitted out in a bunch of low level uniques. But both videos I watched about this said that you're going to end up dying several times on each echo, but that you can still get decent experience. I dunno. I don't LIKE dying. I'm never in that much of a rush to level, lol.

I do think having normal monos scale to your level, on subsoquent playthroughs, (after you unlock empowered ones on your first playthrough) would be a nice way to bypass the story, to make leveling alts feel a little smoother. It's just, how do you then deal with unlocking passives and idols? Eh. I get hung up on that part.

I think you are supposed to do the endgame dungeons for skipping campaign and getting levels. Monos might still be good but it's the dungeons that let you skip campaign.

Yeah that's one way to do it. You get some chonky experience in almost any dungeon. I dunno if you can get the passives and idol slots unlocked from dungeons though. I do like the cache rewards from Arbor and the vendor from Bastion is nice.

Also, to answer this question, the monos feel pretty random. It might be the same map often, but I swear it has a different configuration each time, or at least has randomized mobs. Maybe I haven't done enough to notice more repetition, but I feel like, if they aren't already randomized, they should be.

Yeah like I said, I haven't done many monos, so I don't notice the same map too often. I'd say the one I got the most is the pristine gardens one. I think that's what it's called. But even that map feels different each time. The assets are always the same, but I haven't noticed that it's always the exact same layout. I'll have to pay more attention to that.

Don't sleep on the Mages either man. I was ignoring them for the last few weeks, cause they're such a pain to kill, then I learned about sealing affixes on their gear and apparently, you can also use the gear to slam uniques. I did NOT know that.

In D4, the chests you have to buy keys for...I feel dumb for not remembering the name of them, I stopped even caring about those after a while. They never drop anything decent, lol. The random chests in LE though, I've gotten a few exalteds from. ๐Ÿ‘

Yea and tbf even in grim dawn you can get fairly decent items from locked chests. I hate that they made a simple mechanic from D2 become a complicated mechanic in D4.

Story while not the best, most certainly isn't awful. Gameplay is fine too but it's let down by the itemisation and skills. Feels like any other arpg in that regard.

Having lower drop rates is common sense when AH is involved. You obviously don't want everyone to get drops easily to just be mass posted on AH and drop the prices across the board.
But you were in no way forced to use the AH/RMAH just to beat D3. Sure, people did flip AH back then but every item that entered AH had to be found so clearly people were finding items. Plenty of players beat the entire game without buying a single thing on AH.
When they increased drop rates, it literally destroyed the item hunt for many as it quite literally rained legendaries. I'm all about the extremely rare drop chances for good items. Main reason I play ARPG's ๐Ÿ™‚

First thing you'll notice is buttons on clickable zone transitions, you need to click the button to tweak the mechanic or it'll be random - which can include 200% more max hp on a bunch of rares or 75% phys as extra ele, in campaign

After a while you'll notice you don't actually get that option at all when using a waypoint or in any zones accessed in nonconventional ways like NPCs

Halfway through the campaign your man will inform you that the morgue is really tiny and fills up long before you figured out what crafts will actually have a use

I'm still having fun and 2/3 of these will be irrelevant after campaign but man

yeah we can process more, up to, on average, 60 fps, the younger you are the better you might be able to notice but past a point it becomes wasted information, people saying you can notice differences up to 10,000 fps are just so far wrong

@void nest i played some fighting games of my generation including injustice and soul caliber back in the day, but i played this one game that was an american port of a korean game called Gem Fighter, the american version was called Rumble Fighter. it had a system where you equip a scroll for a match and it would give you a certain fighting style's combos, but it had grabs and throws and counters and stuff, so I got pretty heavy into it. tekken was the only fighting game that felt as satisfying after that one

this game rumble fighter was the peak of cringe youth gaming for sure though. glad i was able to experience it lol. it got shut down by its korean studio at one point, and they granted every account like 200$ worth of the premium currency before they shut down, so people could buy stuff. then, an american company bought it, but also retained the data from the servers, so you could keep the free sht you got. which in that game, meant a lot because stuff was pricey. even back in the day. i could spent 20$ on just a fighting scroll for new moves, easily. but the american version wasn't great so i stopped after a while when my friends stopped playing as well

I have no memories at all of anyone playing any form of multiplayer game or online game when I was in school. There were some very early ones when I was about 17-18, it just started becoming a bit of a thing in the late 90s - but not quite the school topic I suppose.

We did however when I was a teenager exchange codes, cheats and such for SNES games, and some N64 era early on. I think I didn't really start multiplayer gaming until release of Asheron's Call in 1999

also, thats really funny. I will share my similar story. I collected (lightly) some pokemon cards back in the day, and the ONLY rare card i ever got, was a shiny Dark Typhlosian from a 10 card pack out in santa cruz at a comic store. Pokemon silver/gold/crystal were still new, i was in like 2nd grade. I told someone i would show them my card if they traded me some worthy cards in order to even show it to them. They had 3 shiny foil cards of random gen 1 mons, im ashamed to say i dont even remember what they were. They traded all 3 to me just to see my shiny typhlosion, which I let them borrow for the day to show off. I got it back at the end of the day and went home. I left my shiny typhlosion andthe other 3 cards in my pocket of my pants...

you know i heard later about schools in other districts banning that sort of stuff, but luckily that never happened where I lived. although, i didnt see much of it past elementary school, so there were probably less fans in my area for that sort of thing. yu gi oh was the card game tho, nobody plays the pokemon one, and i dont remember any others from when iwas young. but i was never into yu gi oh so i missed all of that

Naturally, the PC starts going bananas, what with the CPU immediately peaking out and Chrome acting up accordingly
I scream "stop whatever the f you're doing, or better yet SHUT THE ENTIRE PC DOWN RIGHT F'N NOW", which she does
I contact her supervisor, tell him what happened, he delivers the entire rig to me (I live across the town from them + HEAVY parenting)
I connect the SSD from that PC to my laptop, immediately create an ATI image of the entire drive just in case, and run a "surface" AV scan...

i liked the third part.

The "end" is mediocre, but i like the feeling to fight a war against a Force that is build to evaporate you. It feels - for me - a bit like a race against the Time. The feeling of Dread is quite good and feels right in this Setting.

Gameplay wise a very good time! Classes feel good, Character are nice. Dialog is good. One of the Games with the Good Bioware vibes before they went downhill.

Overall a solid 8,5/10 for me.

Mass Effect 1-3 only truly reaches its peak for the player, if the player plays through all of them and uses their own save to continue in ME2 and ME3.
In that way, it's probably the best trilogy there is, if you're into this kind of gameplay and setting.

Playing ME3 without having played ME1-2 can still be fun, but you'll be ruining and taking away an experience from yourself that you can never get back. Quite an extraordinary experience.

ME1-3 are all good games on their own. But together, it becomes something truly special. A one of a kind experience I can only recommend to all gamers out there. Few games have entertained me as such while being excellent on all fronts. (For their time, at least)

That said, ME1 & 2 can certainly feel dated, especially when playing 3. But it's all the more reason to just start at ME1.

Regarding mods a bit if you are curious about:
Diablo 1 has a really nice mod called tchernobog, where diablo 2 has a good/a huge amount of mods out there where diablo 2 resurrected has at least 6 mods for now if not wrong.
Regarding grim dawn - there is also a nice mod called RoT i.e. Reign of Terror if I'm not wrong, it is diablo 2 inside Grim dawn, I think there are even skills and classes from grim dawn too in it, and the mod also has diablo 1 in it as act 6 if I remember correctly.

Already mentioned, but Titan quest 1 is not bad, it is a bit cartoonish, at least imo, but maybe it is sth you would like to play before titan quest 2.

This isn't about torturing players. The game seems more forgiving than what the developers are leading us to believe. Attacks are properly telegraphed and combat is fairly robust
