so how does the shuriken stacking effect on blade shield work when you have a very large number of shuriken active at once? with an assassin shrine i've seen some really degenerate hits that are like 50x the damage of a single shuriken hit

the shrine is the same as you doing an indirect (triggered) cast of the ability so it works the same as normal for most things
right, but i'm curious about the mechanics behind the shuriken stacking. it looks like they're combining into a big hit rather than each hitting individually
unless it was noted the the patch notes, it is extremely unlikely that there is any change. that seems reasonable to me but I'm not sure what the cap is if there is one. We also don't generally disclose drop rate info.
I posted it there soon after I asked the initial question. Though as an additional question how is it that the poison slug and poison in general becomes so overbearing? It seems impossible to deal with in Omens if you can't see the mobs that can poison.
just like how it's important to build crit avoidance to defend against large individual hits taking you out, it's important to build in some way of dealing with sneaky dots. It's another thing you have to build your defenses to deal with. That might mean making armour apply to dots and that might mean building in a reliable cleanse effect with something like shift for example.
What is the drop rate for potions? How likely on any given kill (or hit against a boss) am I to drop a potion?

Even with mitigation, if you are dying to a single tick or several stacks before you can reactively cleanse, its a not something tenable in omen instances. Its more of an observation with these specific mobs in this seasonal mechanic.
We extremely rarely disclose drop rates for anything. I'd be surprised if we've ever shared that and I don't know it off the top of my head. I know that it is dramatically higher if you aren't at full potions though.
interesting. what caused them to hit for over 100k when most of my hits are in the 2-3k range? is it just a matter of "the game displayed an aggregate hit of dozens of individual shuriken that hit in the same frame"? I assumed it was some kind of combined hit the game was using to avoid having to calculate that many damage instances that fast

all good. i like to look for the little decorations around the edges of the map. like that phobia inducing giant snake in the serpent valley. holy hell that thing is terrifyingly realistic

The trigger version procced inside Warpath isn't supposed to though
Some pointers:
- stacking more poison resistance beyong the 75% cap can help to mitigate the poison resist reduction ofrom the poison debuff (same can be said for shock since it is similar in resist debuffing.)
- armor mitigation only applies to direct hits, while damage over time is seperate & has it's own stats to counter it (i.e. resistances across physical, elemental, poison, void & necrotic.) & also cannot critically hit.
- as pointed out by mike, building for effects that allow armor mitigation to apply to Damage over Time is another form of defense against DoT damage,as can be said for certain items like oracle amulets and other gear that also provide less damage over time taken.
Best advice I can give you: you'll find that if you do not study mechanics as well as what could be improved on in your own gear, skills, passives, etc. the world of eterra & the monoliths will gatekeep you.

So by that logic, the drop chances of the red ring (being extremely rare & even by guesstimation, having a 0.12% chance of dropping both within & outside CoF.) are even lower because somehow drop chances may or may not be revisited with each new item addition to that category.
Best chances of getting one within the circle of fortune is the unique ring prophecy with a guesstimated drop chance of 0.17%, plausibly lower but isolates to just uniques which reduces the item quantity dilation overall.

Appreciate the explanation, and I am very familiar with all of it. That said it's clear that there are some aspects to scaling dots especially in very high corruption that does tear through your mitigation that are not addressed or brushed off by this. Especially in omens, where your ability to see what is in front of you gets very congested so the chance you walk over or are hit by a heavy dot before you can cleanse is very very high. Just hoped there was a better solution from non-giga tank builds to address the issue outside of do a lot of damage.

In reading through the forums, I'm hearing that the top-level players view 700 Corruption as the minimum for build performance, but they also quote the devs who state that they balance their content around the 300 Corruption range.
If I'm a solo CoF player with no intention of trading, who should I be listening to, and is there a way to make both sides happy without requiring such a massive grind to take a character from 100 Corruption to 700?
The devs balancing around 300 is a bit of a misunderstanding that stemmed from a comment made long ago in one of the dev streams. It's not actually what they balance around. And the 700 figure is completely subjective. I for example view being able to comfortably grind 1000 corruption as a sign of a good build. So you shouldn't really listen to either one.
Pretty much all non generic corruption scaling stops after 600, with 1000 being where even the generic reward scaling starts to fall off quite a bit. Another factor is the speed of the build, the faster you clear content the more rewards you drop which can make up for a lower corruption.
Basically; just play a build you enjoy that can clear the content you want to do. If you're aiming for something like aberroth the world is your oyster, almost anything can clear him, but if you're aiming for something like Uber aberroth you might have to select from a smaller selection of exceptional builds.
The hardest thing has been having enough defenses to survive, as things can kill me even at 100 Corruption. Where would a good guide on balancing survivability with clear speed be located?
Hmm I'm not sure I've seen one specifically dedicated to defensive layers in general instead of for a specific build. That being said I've never followed a guide for LE so there's a good chance there's a good one that I've simply just not seen.
But defense in LE is generally fairly simple. You want to layer at least 2 defensive mechanics outside of health and resistances for a build that doesn't get completely obliterated. These include things like armour, endurance, ward, dodge, block etc
People often focus way too much on damage, spending their entire power budget on offense and only taking defense when there's no other option which is a big mistake. A melee build with like 1500 hp and capped resistances will have a rough time no matter how much damage it deals. It's a balancing act for sure, knowing when you have enough damage and spending the rest on defense is a skill one has to develop I think.
When using rainbow edge, does the Chance to Shock/Ignite gets covnerted by carrion of creation? and if so, lets say a 70% chance will be converted to 140% since its two possible ailments in the conversion?
The Doppelganger set is very well designed.
Hopefully to see more of that flashy fun build defining mechanical items like that in future.

When are resonance drop rates going to be fixed? Current state nobody wants to play together as the time commitment vs value is so poor. Please consider a life time counter that doesn't reset each league. Also please consider moving exalted items down to golden tier.
Is there documentation somewhere or something that can help me with regex (or whatever LE uses for searching items) to search for specific items in the stash? I'm trying to figure it out, but can't seem to find anything on it. I'd like to be able to look for items with open prefixes or suffixes in my stash.
Gearing up in the trade faction 's gotten so much easier in this season (prices are low) and the disparity with CoF is outrageous. No balance between factions at all. So my question - are u aware of the situation and going to improve it somehow? Prophecies needs buffs to be at least not so behind the Bazaar
so lava burst does not scaled on attunement but strength and dexterity instead. How about spell/throw? Does it scale with throwing damage or spell damage? In game its tag is spell but its parent skill is shield throw which scales with throwing so I would like to ask.

So i have a question, i remember doing a poll a long time ago asking the community about if theres a bugged interaction and its not game breaking we were going to leave it in, but i heard the frog idol situation is going to get "fixed" and id just like to get a more official stance before i go try out something that looks really fun if its only going to get taken away
Those were not the results of the poll. The results were that if a bug caused something to highly over perform it should get fixed for sure, and if it was just a mild case it would be taken case by case.
I would personally say this case would fall under highly over perform.

In mice scroll wheel is usually the first thing that starts malfuctioning, and when it does its super annoying with camera zooming in/out during intensive gameplay

Let's say a altar has 30% increased prefix effect for idols in refracted slots. If an idol occupies two refracted slots at the same time, will the bonus stack? Will its prefix be increased by 60%?
No. An idol is either refracted or not. It can't be refracted multiple times

Does atk speed affect hail of arrows?
Not really , it's basically just the cast animation that scales
Is there any performance patch being considered? The game runs terribly when I open a Greater Omen, no matter if I'm playing on ultra or on the lowest settings at 480p, the FPS always drops to 45-50 frames.
i am a bit confused about about the bleed stack node in warcry, i put all 5 points in it and converted warcry to totems but it doesnt apply bleed AT ALL, am i missing something?
I don't see anything to stop it from working since frailty/frostbite nodes do work, it is a bug so you should report it
Are there currently any plans to adjust damage of omens? Currently it feels like they do a lot more damage than content of the same level, especially the fact that it feels like there's no reliable way to avoid gaining dot stacks in the omens. Every time I do omens I get stacks of poison and ignite that I don't know where I got from, and had to rely on constantly chugging flasks to stay alive.

Do they inflict ignite, poison, and bleed? Cause that's what I'm seeing myself dying from. Also I think there are those homing fireballs that are impossible to dodge with the amount of monsters body blocking our movement.

We are always working on performance. The game is generally CPU bound so reducing your graphics settings are unlikely to have a massive impact when looking at specific mass evens like greater omens. There is a sound issue which we are working on that I noticed was tanking my fps with specific cosmetic pets active.
Hi Mike, when you Fury Leap with Laup's Path and Fury Leap also triggers Upheaval; does Upheaval gets created after the totems are up or before ?
The real question is will Upheaval benefit from "Inc Spell Dmg if you have an active totem" ?

Upheaval is cast when the Fury Leap ability object is destroyed after your character reaches the destination of movement.
Same for the Thorn totems. Since the trigger for both is the same and the totem takes an extra frame to cast, you won't have the totem until after upheaval has already been created.

Can anyone help me figure out why 6 maps in a row all of a sudden I'm rooted in place, can't use evade/skills, but can potion and open portal (can't reach it). I'm just rooted in place, not stuck in wall either, just flat ground.

I do, and it says it's detected, but it tells me I have to press somethign to swap to controller, which I don't do. Also, the last time it did work, I had the controller plugged in... so I'd be surprised if that was the issue.

Yeah I've experienced the same bug. Seems to happen if you press evade while holding down dancing strikes. I've submitted bug reports for it, but in the mean time I've managed to prevent it by releasing dancing strikes as I evade, just took a bit of getting used to.
Okay so it is a bug not some node or gear I'm wearing, it's the skill/evade combo
I like ran fine all day no issues, then 6 maps in a row got locked in place
might also involve shift, but it's some kind if desync issue for certain. Just try to be mindful of pressing evade while combo-casting DS
It's 100% something with one of the movements, either evade, dancing, or shift, bc the times I had mobs around and died, they were attacking me where I would have dashed to, but I'm getting hit and dying where I was before

My friend and I did a bonus stability echo chain - I ran it, but they didn't get any bonus stability at all. Is that intended?

UPDATE: The issue was my controller. Not that it was plugged in per se, but I hadn't specifically enabled the Steam Controller Support for the game. Now that it's enabled, I can use my Mouse and Keyboard without unplugging my control.

If something isn't working as you expect it to in game, please submit a bug report with [F8]. If they were present for the echo chain I would expect them to get the bonus stability but it might not work that way.

If something says “x+ spell damage for curses” will that only scale further with spell damage? Or since it’s flat damage getting added to a curse would it scale with curse damage as well?

I got to 130 corruption in a timeline and im trin to push anther timeline up using echo of a world... But i did an echo in that second timeline and Echo of a world didnt show up to lift that corruption to 130
There isn't really "curse damage" as a stat in the game. Damage has types, elements and tags. Spell, Melee, Bow and Throwing are the types. All Damage needs a type. Modifiers to specific types of abilities that have certain tags, apply to all types of damage from that skill. So increased curse damage is increasing all the damage that anything tagged with curse would deal. So if a curse is dealing spell damage, increasing the damage that the curse deals increases the spell damage that that curse deals. It also increases the melee, throwing and bow damage it would deal too.

When converting Volcanic Orb to cold via rune of winter in the mage passive tree, does it gain the ignite to frostbite conversion listed in the node in it's tree, even if you don't take that node? Or does the mage passive convert without affecting ailments?
can Shadow Rend gain bonuses from consuming shadows with Hidden Strength and the dark quiver's Umbral Resolution at the same time or does one take priority?
only 1, I'm not sure which one will take priority. I would expect Hidden Strength to "go first"

Hey, can someone be so kind and explain the reason imprints got nerfed so hard (i haven't gotten any multi exalted yet) a bit more detailed? I feel like it takes away the possibilities i have in the endgame for crafting
The short version is that they were just too reliable and too strong.
I would be more interested in a long version. Since i think having a reliable way to get certain items in the endgame is a good thing in a game with very good crafting system. I would've loved the Corupption Rune next to the old imprint system. That would offer players different possibilities to farm in the endgame, and the bravest of them could combine them as well. It feels like we had to much fun with the items we could get, and now got it taken away. But that's just some feedback i guess
the long version isn't much longer really. The imprint system was never meant to be that strong. It was so strong that it enabled items that were far beyond anything you could get from drops naturally instead of simply influencing some of your drop to be a little more focused. alongside the corruption mechanics which are already pushing item power a lot, the combination would have been more of a power sprint than a power creep.
I don't think it's a power creep, it's just a deeper endgame grind for those who seek it. It's just more possible gametime to truly max out my character. And maybe having some insane items being achievable would unlock more builds to become stronger and defeat uber in a responsible time. I mean some builds already defeat uber with only the uniques without any Slam, they kill uber in one blink. So those builds wouldn't really care about insane items since they re already op.
Does edge of obscurity double effect refer to more damage 6 to 12% or total dusk shroud stacks 20 to 40?

I played the season when they weren’t nerfed. Prior I’ve never had a red ring drop.
With the juiced imprints existing I was able to get like 25 of them.

Do shadows actually use your skill tree when they repeat a skill like shruikens, acid flask etc? I'm not seeing them use blade shield so I'm just wondering if they are affected

You can make the labels larger in general if you want, but then both emphasized as well as the normal labels would get bigger

The vertical height of the labels relative to each other are static.
Certain modes are not able to be used by the shadows. Technically they aren't using anything. It's all just you.
So they are at least using the more generic modifiers like phys penetrations, bleed chance from the tree?
Two completely different questions.
1 - Is there a way to bypass stash tab priorities and force an item into the currently visible tab?
2 - Gathering Storm node "In the eye of the storm" - do storm bolts imply expended storm stacks? So something like Summon Storm Totems "Unmatched Storms" node could also make maelstrom?

hey Mike, thanks for the reply - playing on a 1440p main monitor on 144hz / 144 fps with a second monitor that is 1080p on 60hz - i had the craziest performance issues with massive frame drops (sometimes 80 fps loss) and since i turned off the "lock cursor to window option" it's gone...suddenly the game runs in 144 fps like it used to...idk...maybe it's placebo or whatever...i will have to double check it

I've got a question. In the node of Upheaval it got a stacking that increases the physical penetration of EQ does this apply to aftershock too? If yes then does this mean the aftershocks from per melee attack of idols will it apply too without consuming the stacks of upheaval?
yes it applies to aftershocks too but only for the ones caused by the earthquake that consumed the stacks. The idol affix aftershocks wouldnt benefit from it nor consume the stacks
I got a question, is there a specific reason why when you do content like the omen echoes ,or the windows the mobs give 0 favor so I am guessing no xp ,you get a tiny after slaying the omen itself which hinders the resonance we get in group play as well since they don't drop?
Can corrupted items be used in:
- Being sacrificed to reroll values of another of the same unique in those echoes
- Using corrupted exalts in the cache to create legendaries with a non-corrupted unique
Quick question what Corruption can Set Amulets roll? i've done over 100 and i seem to only get ruin max stats or min stats or change item that seems to be it i've been aiming for a +1 to all skills have i been wasting my time?
You cannot get extra affixes on set items, you've seen all the possible corruption outcome types
Can we get some kind of confirmation regarding whether the Mage's Arcane Current passive node casts "Lightning Blast" (i.e., the skill you can specialize in) or "Arcane Lightning"? The tooltip references both in different spots, but it sure seems like it's not casting specialized Lightning Blast.

So Omens Veil sais to do the circles all at the same time. What exactly does that mean. What's the exact timing required?

As long as all three are open at the same time at some point during the echo you're good

How do T7 flat melee damage, T7 flat physical melee damage, T7% physical damage, and T7% melee damage interact with a skill such as Earthquake?
I have noticed that an idol with 19% increased physical damage increases my DPS more than my idol with 41% increased melee damage. I wanted to know how it works.
Flat melee is what's called adaptive damage, it will convert to whatever damage tag the skill has, in the case of base aftershock that would be physical, so in that case 40 flat melee is the exact same as 40 flat physical, since both earthquake and its aftershocks both have the physical and melee tags by default.
For increased damage it would simply apply to all damage a skill deals of the appropriate tag, and all sources of increased damage, no matter what tag(s) or conditions they're contingent on are additive with each other. So in the case of base earthquake 1% increased physical damage is the exact same as 1% increased melee damage, unless your earthquake also deals damage that isn't physical, but then the increased melee should win even harder. The example you have given is either incorrect or there's something not being accounted for.

What is the logic behind Harmony of Blades -Primalist- and gathering storm tempest weapon? What is the exact reason for not allowing them to interact with all of the 1 handed weapons that a primalist can actually wear on both hands? this seems very limiting for creative build possibilities and proably a good reason why no one actually plays gathering storm as a melee hybrid in general, just stat sticks for offhand weapons
I'm not sure but I suspect that there was some sort of exploit with reentering over and over or something like that.
We are still collecting feedback on it. Personally I'm really enjoying them a lot. Plans won't be drawn up for changes or not for quite a while still.

While it might not be as good for the same builds you can corrupt any amulet with the new corrupted conversion affixes, so you can for example get a legendary nihilis with apathy conversion. Exulis will always drop with two conversion affixes afaik.
Different nodes working with different equipment means that you don't just take the same nodes or weapons each time if you change certain parts of the build.

Hey I have two characters in SAF (Solo account found. which I like to play as it is the best mode). But I want to play a bit with my gf without having to farm all the stuff again. Can I create another character and swap it to Normal mode (transferring all my SAF stash etc to normal) while also keeping the stuff I have and the other two characters I have in SAF ? I know that the stashes would then be different between the two after that, which I would be cool with
Yes. When you make that character and load them up with stuff from your stash if you go into the options menu the rightmost tab called challenges should let you opt out of it on that character and should transfer them with their inventory to what would be considered the "normal" stash. Just note you won't be able to transfer the character or the items back to saf

You wouldn't copy anything. Everything on the character you opt out won't be available for your saf characters anymore. But all the stuff you don't transfer will still be there for your saf characters

Ok that would be great thanks! And just to reiterate for clarity. I want to create a new SAF character (with the intention of playing it in Normal mode with my GF) so I want to be able to convert it to a normal character immediatly so that I have glyphs/runes/stash that I have gathered in SAF. BUT I still want to have access to all that in SAF as seperate SAF challenge characters (I am aware that the stashes would obviously then be split without sharing between SAF and normal being possible).
Orr the best solution, Account found mode 😄 (Not only a choice of Solo Character/Solo Account Found/Normal). If this was an option I would never main as SAF in the first place as I know playing with her is a probability at some point =D. But finding the loot myself in ARPGs is essential for me so the idea of playing in a mode where MG is playable is a yuck!

For the warlords riches node (top left imprint node) in the weaver tree: Will it drop items of the sealed modifier? For example if it's a primordial tier 8 sealed mod, can it drop items of that mod? Will it also drop up to primordial tier 8 if so?

that does sound frustrating, but honestly.. if you've done every single unempowered timeline and fought the timeline boss in each, there is a reasonable expectation that you should move on to at least 100 corruption empowered timelines; it's not even remotely efficient to continue farming gear in unempowered past that point (and you're definitely strong enough to farm 100 corruption empowered echoes if you can handle every single unempowered timeline boss)

So even if I have two end game Solo Account Found characters and I create a new one to give some twink items (before converting it to normal), I guess it will delete all of my Solo Account Found stash just because I moved one character over to Normal? Or does "All items in stash will be Lost" just mean that I will not be able to access the Solo Account found stash any more because I converted it (which is fine)
The only way to skip them previously was in empowered, so nothing has changed other than now you don't have the option to do them in empowered anymore.
What is the reasoning behind removing encounters from arena? Were there too many of them and people only spammed arena for them, or what was the thinking?

have you tried moving the large idol to the right? maybe there's a bug in the "top/bottom" logic and it thinks the large idol is below the ornates

Hi with frogs it says attunement scales their crit chance - is this correct? My sheet for minions doesn't change when changing attunement items. Can you tell me if frogs reflect min sheet change or if its a generic minion instead
It won't reflect on your character sheet since it only applies to the frogs and not other minions

Are there any plans to look at exalted item crafting? I absolutely love the current runes/glyphs (namely despair, havoc, redemption and envy) but it feels like, too frequently, I get two clicks and the item is completely bricked. Getting a good corrupt on a high rolled lp1 unique is so much easier, and often so much more powerful, than anything you can reasonably craft exalt wise. I appreciate that you dont want crafting to be a deterministic printer, but it feels so good to make something (and not because it barely ever happens)

Could be possible, you are below the minimum spec requirements at this point, I'm also running fairly old hardware (1080 TI) but it runs totally fine for me personally. If your gpu is glued to 100% the entire time you're playing I'd definetly try to either reduce the graphics settings and if that's not enough even lower the resolution that it runs at. Arena mobs and beacons give xp and were great methods for favor farming and they are also spawned so idk why omen are different 😅

There are lots of mechanical overlaps between the classes. Thematically the spellblade sits much more firmly in that fantasy I think.

Makes it so that the first ones in the chain only can have non-equipable rewards (e.g. only gold/xp/shards) and gives the echo chain portal at the end of each map. Also exposes the whole chain on the echo web. Not that useful IMO.

Then after casting runic invocation such as hydrahedron, I would lose armor due to not having rah rune. My question is, when casting runic invocation in this case, do I receive the added damage bonus while having added armor from rah rune before casting it, or not?

I just don't belive in this game Random aka RNG, I tested in S3 at the end of seasion. I must be extremly unlucky or you have some custom random with some weights.
For example had 5 rings LP3, and wanted to put 2xT7 affix on them. No luck if i am correct the percentage is like this: you choose 1 affix so 1xt7 is 100%. On second affix is 33% chance on 3th affix i have 50% chance. All 5 rings failed to get 2xT7 on rings. Sorry just can't belive it's pure random.
The numbers on sites like tunklab aren't gotten from what EHG say is the truth or anything. It's datamined and tested, as in the source of the numbers are the literal code of the game. It can't not be accurate. At most there might be a small oversight when copying/translating the code but from personal experience those rarely happen and when they do they're easily caught and fixed. Something like missing an entire weight system is pretty much impossible.
LE does not have a pity/entropy system in place to ensure your results stay close to the expected average in low sample sizes. you can get insanely unlucky for 50 rolls and then insanely lucky the next 50 rolls, or stay unlucky for another 50 rolls. Each roll doesn't care about what happened before it (gambler's fallacy). So you need a substantial sample size (thousands of rolls if not more) to start being able to make statistically significant statements that might be able to refute the proposed system.
Also for 3 lp it's 1 * 2/3 * 1/2, not 1 * 1/3 * 1/2, you have a 33% chance to hit your slam on both a 2lp and a 3lp.
There's a 13.169% chance to miss 5 3lp slams in a row, unlucky for sure. But nowhere near unbelievable.
Um should it be possible when primodial runing a T7 for that T7 to change to another affix completely when it hits?

Sorry if I came off as rude I didn't mean to, the primordial rune is a bit special since unlike other runes it doesn't affect the entire item but a specific affix, that's why the selected glyph will still apply. The intent is so you can use things like a glyph of order to keep your T7's good roll when it becomes a T8 for example.

I feel like I did give a precise answer? there's no entropy/weight system, it works as stated on tunklab and your results shouldn't be very suspicious, missing the 13 havocs on a 27.27% success roll is still 1.6%, it's bound to happen every now and then to someone. Every voice counts. We just have hundreds of times the suggestions from all the voices than what we can reasonably actually do. Often times the suggestions are in direct contradiction with each other too. So we use the suggestions and feedback to help influence our decision making. It doesn't mean that any idea gets used as is. It also might mean that it's being included in a future update still too.
I think I fixed my problem, but I have no idea what actually fixed because I tried a lot of things, stuffs that I suspect was the fix the 10-20 minutes crashes was putting the game cap at 30 fps and installing the last 64x and 86x C++

A lot of people have suggested this. I think It basically boils down to wanting people to pick stuff up from the ground, it's a similar reason to why you have to click crafting materials. But they've improved the QoL of these things quite a bit over the years by increasing the pickup radius, making crafting materials vacuum pickup as well as going straight into your crafting material inventory instead of having to transfer them.
Basically it's a slippery slope, on one end you have to click every single item and on the other end you click nothing. Both are bad so they need to strike a balance somewhere in the middle. And once you grant the "QoL" of not having to pick something up you can't really take it back.
I mean, itens we could still grab and manage inventory, it's because on controller is already kinda messy to choose what you want to grab, I just want to look exactly what is important, I think there's 0 reason for somebody don't want to grab an shard for example

Can you be clear in the direction you are bringing last epoch? do you plan to keep the 1LP corrupt meta? for the longest time the game allowed imprints and 2t7 drops that were more common. Do you ever plan making the power curve adjust to what the meta was for over a year +? I want to know very simply if I should invest in this game anymore, I really love the game but the current meta direction, I do not align with or like. I really enjoyed my time playing 1.3 and even even in earlier seasons.
Should I just give up on dancing strikes for now? sorc has a ton of heavily mana related nodes. It also has a ton of int and int synergies. I'm not sure that it needs exactly those same things on one node really. Especially since Warlock already has it. We try to keep them as distinct as possible.

why don't you simply store for each specialized skill what in which nodes skills points were put last so that you can remove skill points from the right nodes if you unequip +skill? It's an insane qol issue that it just takes a random node and then you gota unspec a node and relevel for something every time you unequip a single piece of equipment I just don't get it how this isn't been done yet so frustrating, this can't be rocket science

The affix says "nearby" which is usually much farther than 1m. If you think it's bugged and not giving the distance it should, please make a bug report in game by pressing [F8].
If you're vulnerable before you have control over your character, that's a bug. You should have a grace period for a short time upon exiting a portal or until you take an action. Maybe something is numlocked and taking actions early? If you're experiencing what seems like a bug, please report it in game with [F8].

I feel like this is isolated to just me, but I noticed I’ve been getting huge FPS lags during busy server times. Not sure if this is a direct issue with anyone else, but right at peak times — acts 7-9 (which I usually average 80-100 FPS late at night) hit at around 22-34 FPS. Same with monos with similar aesthetics. Hitting 22-48 from an average (again, at night) 80-100 FPS. Is this anything y’all have reported? I’ve only had this issue during S1 in the Observatory (was fixed with server issues), and with the Lagon level (yall optimized it and was fixed) thank you!
Important point. Season 4 looks much better than previous ones. I'll point out right away that I've been playing since the beta, and what I'm about to write about – I already wrote about it in Season 2! Yes but you'll never reach 100% no matter what since the 20% from lightning strikes twice are independent
Also the AOE is very small and it only works vs rares and bosses of which there are rarely more than two near each other
conflux works against anything, LST is rares/bosses only. I know the AOE is tiny. Warcry pull could help there.

This makes sense. Since if one bolt hits 3 enemies the odds of at least one more going off is around 70%, so on average more than one will proc from each other one if all are hitting 3 rares/bosses

The Sleight of Hand node in Shift says that it throws shurikens at "nearby enemies". My shurikens have the Chakram node, turning them into a Chakram. As far as I understand it you scale eternal arrow how you would the abomination in general, it has the bow, physical and dexterity tags. But the dead eye node also grants abomination 1 added bow damage per intelligence (this would be applied as physical unless it's converted). So you'd basically want as much intelligence and minion/minion physical damage as possible. As well as absorbing as many archers as possible for the bonus recurve chance of course.
If you feel like the CDR from horrific volley isn't working then please use the in-game bug report tool (F8) to report it.

Even if it had a 0 seconds cooldown it would still get triggered only every 4 seconds (3 if you have 4 points in horrific volley)

Yeah they're working on a big overhaul of the character sheet and tooltips in general, so it would maybe be kind of a waste to put in lots of dev hours to get them working in the old system just to replace it later anyway iirc. I might be wrong here though, Mike can correct me if so. Regardless minion tooltips are just hard to get working correctly because of how they work under the hood, they're not as straight forward as skills we the players use, and even the skills we use are rarely accurate dps wise, only the cooldown and mana cost are usually to be trusted (It's this way in almost all arpg's. tooltips simply can't account for everything you're doing)

Is it intentional that now when the echo blessing selection windows pops up after you kill the boss you cannot move? (when some abilities linger behind and still damage you, there is nothing you can do now)
When a boss dies all abilities belonging to them should be canceled/stop doing damage, if you've encountered an example where that's not true please report it using the in-game tool (F8). The UI of the game got a systematic change that caused the movement stuff, so while it's technically not a bug I wouldn't say they're intentionally intending for it to stop you from moving and having you die to stuff.

I have clarifying questions regarding Lethal Concentration, particularly the "Your Poison Damage Modifiers Apply... to your skeleton rogues and falcon" affix:
- Does Increased Damage count?
- Does Increased Damage Over Time count?
- Do conditional increases to poison damage count? E.g. increased poison damage when aura of decay is active idol prefix
- Do Shared poison damage mods apply both effects to minions?
Many of these questions stem from the affix's wording, e.g. is it "mods that read as Increased Poison Damage become shared with minions" or "¢[anything that affects my increased poison Damage multiplier also affects my minions increased poison damage multiplier", and if affixes with multiple conditions are programmed as 2 effects with separate conditions or 1 effect enabled by 2 conditions, A or B style

Well, it depends what you mean by conditional, if you're gaining the stat "increased poison damage" then it would apply, but if it's something like "increased damage against low health enemies" that won't apply
The first example while technically conditional on something is giving you a normal generic increased damage stat
while the second is a conditional stat
Basically anything that reflects on your character sheet will work

The first and second points are basically the same thing, the more generic increased damage stats basically just give that amount of the underlying damage types in increased damage. For example "increased damage while channelling" gives increased damage of all types while you're channeling, and you should see it reflected in your character sheet when you channel that your increased poison damage goes up, and as such would get inherited by your minions through lethal concentration.
(this is a planner but it works the same in-game)

No. The DR is multiplicative not additive so it would be 19% not 20%

ok back to this thread briefly, so with seed of ekkidrasil, is the damage that is dealt to mana, the numerical value AFTER DR calc, and then of course a percentage of endurance applies to that bc of the helmet? And then same for grasp of the blood mage/immortal vise, is that 20-25% damage dealt over 4 sec the AFTER DR calc damage, or premitigation damage?
I would assume the former but, can't be sure without asking.

It is difficult sometimes. Especially because I was involved so little with Season 4's development. It's also really nice because it feels more like playing a game than doing a playtest. This is part of why I love doing the stream so much.
If you have something like frostclaw which has nodes that depend on the freeze rate multiplier of the skill, but then you convert it to not be cold anymore (which removes its freeze rate) it retains its freezerate multiplier still right? The example here being Reowyn's veil in frost claw when you've converted it to lightning for example

Btw there was a question the other day about decoy (the rogue skill) and why it consumes stuff like the kismet buff from scissor of atropos (among other throwing skill buffs) but doesn't actually benefit from them. Was I correct in my reasoning that the Decoy skill you yourself cast has the throwing tag, thus proccing the buffs. But that the explosion from the decoy is cast by the decoy minion which doesn't get the stats from said buffs since it's a minion? Despite it scaling with added throwing damage. Because I would assume that scaling is kind of a special scaling added for it and not something inherited through tags.
On a sidenote, The decoy minion doesn't have the minion tag, which got me wondering what the tag actually does? isn't it kinda just cosmetic (The minion tag on the actual minion itself that is)? or does a minion without it not benefit from minion stats?

yea, you got it. Decoy is a little tricky, it probably needs to go firmly into the minion or throwing category instead of straddling the two. The ability on the back end is actually called Summon Decoy but yea, it doesn't have any minion tags. I'm not sure the best change for it but it probably should have something changed.
I have a question i think i know the answer to but im gonna ask anyway just incase. Is situational buffs like Julras ring applied at all to damage already on the target like DoTs or DoT spells already out and casting? Also would Julras ring take place as soon as you use the skill or when it ends, more specifically for something like profane veil where theres a slight duration.
If you cast a spell then change your equipment after you cast it, does that spell already in the world get a buff from it?
No, when Julra's ring triggers, an ability that is already existing doesn't update.
The trigger moment is when the ability is used. So the movement ability itself because it has already been used, doesn't get a buff but anything cast after that point does.

spellslinger and firestarter both reduce mana cost, ghostflame doesn't have a mana cost it has a channel cost, they aren't the same and don't interact. I'd have to look up the other effects to see if they are the same.

The global -cost seems to apply after the skill's own modifiers, but before mana efficiency. It is like it calculates channel cost first and uses that as the "base mana cost" in the mana cost calculation to get the final actual channel cost.

I haven't kept a close eye on player numbers in a while now. Just doesn't feel like an accurate reflection of the quality of the season to me. Primarily I just look at how much fun I'm having but since I'm so biased, the biggest external source I use is the comments on stream and I gotta say I'm riding pretty high after yesterday. There are obviously a few things we have had to fix and few more to go still but overall I'm really pleased with this season. Given the new processes we used for S4 and the setup we have for S5 I'm really excited for the future too.

There are different offensive abilities that we give enemies to target ranged and melee characters. I think because ranged naturally has the flexibility to come into melee if needed, they are able to avoid the really harsh ones easier. This is a dynamic that is carefully considered when making boss fights.

When we load into a map we get a few seconds of some kind of 'invulnerability' buff. Is there a reason you can't give us this buff while we have the nemesis menu open? Then take the buff away when we close it.

Not all enemies spawn in all timelines. Make sure you're in a timeline where the right enemy can spawn

but ive been running black sun exclusively, so that makes sense with diamond matrons but not with siege golems after checking the bestiary

Hey devs, just saw a msg from a content creator for last epoch that kinda said "other creator use offline mod and cheat their gear to know which build are broken on day 1." is that allowed to edit somehow? if yes, how? o,o as it's offline, it doesn't involve any other person, as it's completely separate right?
While it is technically against the EULA to modify the game client or its data (which this would fall under). EHG have made statements in the past that they will neither hinder nor assist in offline modding. Basically they reserve the right to punish it but have said that they won't as long as its offline only. Editing offline characters is pretty much an accepted thing at this point and is not something EHG punishes, but that's not to say that they support it.

Was it a design choice to make mobs lower poison res more than any other or a side effect. Most res can only be shred around 45% on players including mark for death echos light is slightly higher at 65% shred on monsters and then there is poison with the right set if rares on a mark for death echo can remove 150% res from the player
Also second question do minions get the player/boss values for res sherd or the white-rare movs value because minion res is kinda pointless if there poison res can be lowered by 550%

I'm making a Multistrike-Smite build, where the single target comes from the Multistrike nodes Bladestorm (MS swords all hit the same target if there's only one enemy) and Hallowed Arsenal (Multistrike swords become Smite casts).
Then, we have the Sentinel idols that read "X% chance for additional Multistrike swords".
So my question is: if I hit an enemy who is alone, and would normally trigger 4 casts of Smite onto them through my MS tree; do those idols give me a chance to hit the isolated enemy with 5 casts of Smite instead?

It converts to void (or fire) the same as the rest of vengeance. Tooltips for skills in passive trees don't reflect any skill nodes you take (tech limitation for now).
How do the unvar unique idols interact with more than 100 intelligence and/or multiple of the idol equipped. Assuming the chances can go beyond 100% is the 11% more damage on rise additive or multiplicative with itself?

Arcane Current- When you hit an enemy with a lightning skill you cast Lightning Blast at other enemies within 6 meters of your target. This effect has a 5 second cooldown. Does not say either it can or not still hit while channeling a skill so iam assuming channeling skills would work with this, like disintigrate? But it does not.

I know the answer. Damage over time does not hit. Disintegrate is a damage over time skill. I am also playing disintegrate and have played it many times before

Can anyone help me? I've already sent 2 bug reports in the game, but nothing has changed. Yesterday I created a character online in the season, played, everything is fine. This morning it just isn't there, what the hell happened, I've been overloaded 1000 times and I've been sitting for 4 hours waiting for at least some kind of answer or instructions

is there any consideration on a way to skip the RP from normal abby after your first kill of it? each season we get to the point of having to do abby for eternitys but the RP takes longer then killing abby. i know many players have submitted feedback about this so curious if you have thought about possible solutions or if this is how you plan to keep it?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows how the DOT in the "barbed net" node in the "net" skill works? Like does it have a certain effectiveness? And does it change when converted? (not the bleed part). I found pretty much nothing about it in the game.

If you have consistently high ping (not jumping all over the place) all of the sudden it's most likely not the game servers fault but a routing/isp issue. Instead of the signal taking a quick, more straight forward path it's taking a slower more convoluted one. If this is the case then it's not something EHG themselves can fix. They have never explicitly approved any type of macro. But if all a macro is doing is pressing a button at a certain time interval (dipper bird analogy) you're most likely fine. The for sure not okay is if it somehow reacts to the game state, either by reading memory, reacting to changes on the screen or any other dynamic method.
For the path width, it says it increases with the "Area for Area skills" stat. But there are items like Onslaught of Cerata that only increase melee Area. So I wanted to know if those increase path width too.

Thats dumb, skills/passives that dont work on hit with DOT should be labeled as such...its very confusing on the way some stuff is worded for passives/skills in last epoch 🙂
It is labeled as such. It explicitly says "when you HIT". Disintegrate does not hit
Anything that is damage over time does not hit, because it does damage over time, and not in hits

Mind adding some endgame complex T5 corrupt guarantee mechanism? Now its really hard with hours long T7+T6 2LP Legendary craft ends bad corruption, Tons Negative Feedback with zero upgrade if corrupt went wrong, or is it just 1T7+corrupt enough for endgame design.

Stash: When I put int a range for potential/will etc. in stat priority, i cannot delete the number. instead a at least a number is left. but that makes that stash unavailable for items without any potential/will etc on it. I need to demark "tab priority" to reset those values to "min" "max". but thats annoying when you already specified this stash tab.

What do you mean by that? there's no such thing as an omen prefix/suffix. Do you mean corrupted affixes?
I search for Sync Strike mana efficiency and Shadow damage affixes on Merchant. Only shows Huge idols, but there are Omen idols that are Large. When I select Large, shows 0
Honeslty might just be that there are none listed
Increased damage for skills used by shadow is Affix on Omen Idol, Increase damage "to" skills used by shadow on Huge idol so its different
That damage "For" skills affix not exists on Merchant, none of the new Omen idol affixes. Same for mana efficiency

question , is there something i am doing wrong if i m trying to farm mad alchemist laddle its been 9 hours (all together today) at 300 corruption and i have all the nodes to get more of them to spawn but i just didnt get either the complex or a laddle at this point i do not know what i am doing wrong im getting 3 lp items on a much lower chance and just cant get a few simple items
I do not know if this is a bug or not I already reported it just in case. When i use an Idol Altar "increased effect of Prefixes in refracted slots" along with "% Increased Poison damage while aura of decay" prefix and Aura of decay is active I do not see any noticeable change to my Poison rogues DPS when using Lethal Concentration. I'm using 3 ornate idols with 80%+ rolls on them all in refracted spots that i would expect to get a boost from this interaction. Should my rogues be getting a DPS increase from the Idol Altar mechanics?
