Favour and experience are balanced on 300c, what about ancient bones?
I change a way to ask do the amount of bones available in ancient caves/from rift beasts scale with corruption so it's more simple to be understand.
All hits can stun, so any aoe attack can aoe stun. There are no guaranteed stuns on enemy attacks in the game currently afaik.
1: You'll want both, one is a prefix the other is a suffix so you usually don't have to choose one or the other.
2: Depends entirely on your initial health before and after titanheart as well as how much missing health gained as ward you already have, most likely exsanguinous will be better but there's no way to know for sure without doing the math.
3: No, the cooldown is universal, not per minion.
4: Both. The T-rex gets the stats by default, when it roars; it gives the stats to all your other minions at a 20% effectiveness.
What is the cooldown for ancestral pack?
1 second, so you can have 7 stacks max since the duration for each stack is 7 seconds long

No difference. I don't need to stack corruption if I just want materials. Empowered timelines will slower on progress, on the opposite because damage from enemies are too insane.

hello team...i have done about 15 echos in a row and i haven't come across the primordial claws to go and fight the dragon and get items....is something wrong? they used to be in about every echo...and i am clearing the whole map to map sure i dont miss one. thanks for helping
If your next encounter would be a portal to the ancient era you need to avoid woven echoes and echoes with tombs because they can't have the extra side zone. Unallocating any boosts to tomb rate might help.
What determines how frequently certain imprinted woven echoes spawn? is it based on price? the new Rift Beast echos seem to spawn with a VERY high rate, but testing Antipode rift in both imprint slots seems to be less than a 5% chance, when the first beasts ones appear everywhere so i am doubting the theory that it is based on the amber price of the woven echo

If those are the cdr nodes then eternal arrow is pretty much the only one that doesn't work
It is odd it doesnt because if you hover over the skill , it says cooldown : 4 secs which is why eternal arrow is used every 4 secs

It just happens to match probably because the two were made at the same time so why not. The node triggers (not cast) the skill every 4 seconds.
It's like it you have an item or passive that says "cast hamster ball every 5 seconds". Getting cool down recovery speed wouldn't affect that.
Basically it's not a direct cast, it's a proc/trigger. And the same way our procs/triggers and stuff don't benefit from our cool down recovery rate, neither does eternal arrow from the abominations cool down modifiers

Full mitigation, not sure what you mean by the block question. It just converts damage it doesn't use a skill on you or anything, if the damage was blockable before it'll be blockable after

Feel like I gave you an answer. 1.3.1 should be out sometime this week, hopefully it'll address the enemies you feel are too strong. There's currently a bug causing enemy scaling to be higher than usual.

I especially have in mind affixes:

-of the eagle;
I never dropped an adorned idol that has 2 of any together

ok, I tested it, it's lightning damage when you have both the cold and lightning conversion nodes but the scorpion looks like it's a cold one

is there a substantial xp penalty for doing empowereds at 77? Only thing I can see is in beta is was changed to 10 levels but that would mean you shoudln't enter empowered until 90 which feels odd
If you are doing empowered monos as a solo player at lvl 77, you will be gaining xp as though it is a lvl 87 zone with the difficulty of a lvl 100 zone. Now, you do get better drops so your power might be increasing faster and you are completing objectives which unlock specific fights and woven echoes that drop specific gear to power you up even faster too.

given the absolute values of xp required to advance, you are gaining a very substantially lower amount of raw xp than a high lvl character would be getting but you're still getting a lot of xp for your character
Is there some technical reason why minions still slingshot past players when moving? If I command my minion to move to a specific spot, and use a traversal skill to move myself there as well: they shoot past the point I told them to go to, covering roughly double the distance. This behavior doesn't really make any sense to me; I told my minion to go to an exact location, not move in a general direction. 😐
I'm not sure but I think what is likely happening is that if they are in assassinate mode, yes. They are now targetting a movement location in front of you instead of on you. When you start moving after they are given the move command, the movement probably takes over and says, "actually move in front of where the player is moving". Since they are so far behind because you've just used a movement ability, they get a big boost and they zoom past ya
I think you're right, it might have something to do with the AI mode I had selected. I'm trying to get my Manifest Armor to stand on top of me for Healing Hands to benefit from Cloud Voyager. I'm pretty sure the Infernal Champion's affix would work best for this, but getting a ring with that affix is a bit annoying.

Question is there any reason why the boots Fiery Dragon Shoes always cause a stun when you're critically hit wearing them? Is that part of the design with them? Are there any plans to change it so that you are not always stunned? Or are they just always gonna be jebaited boots? Maybe i've never noticed being critically hit causes a stun as well since most builds I play have crit avoidance. Thanks for any feedback.

Yes. It's an item that's in the files but not in the game, there's a few of them and they occasionally pop up whenever they forget to exclude them from filters and stuff.

The Ballista is not attacking any structure. Should it be like that? Its nearly impossible to kill The Boss in "The Last Ruin" Timeline on high Corruption with Ballista, since we are not able to kill his Units/ we will run into them while he is using Tri-Beam.

Just a question out of curiosity: Obsidian Resonances seem to drop for us at almost the same time this season. It also feels like Imprints drop simultaneously as well. Is Obsidian Resonance tied to some kind of XP threshold when playing together? And are Imprint drops linked to the map creator, like many other things in the Monolith?

struggling to get past 100 corruption flay lich i get hit once and dead ..even with beastmaster i struggled to get any build started ..is there a damage bug going on ?
i don't have any problem with surviving with harvest lich in early game. maybe check your gear and improve it

Currently deep rust and carrion don't work together. But if they did then yes it would work.
There's no order, they all get applied at the same time. There is a priority when you got things converting in a loop though, not sure how it picks when that happens.

There has been thought on it. Nothing's been announced regarding it.
Try to go into your graphics cards manufacturers application and turning off any graphic setting control it has over the game. This has helped some people recently.

when i t comes to the odds of getting LP from an EGG in the Nemesis, are these odds compareable with the odds to drop it as 1,2,3 LP? like, getting the first 1lp there is 1 in 4 then getting the next lp would be like 1 in 8? when looking at lp chances on for example lastepochtools

was there a change to the rarity of certain woven echoes this time around? I have had cemetary spawn and champion woven echo drop since early monoliths and am at 700 corruption and have found exactly 2 stat swaps, 1 unique stat reroll, 2 exiled mage echoes, and 1 lost troves echo. Is this just #unluckyrng or?
im running the sceptre and the helm, and i do not see any glow for enrage on my scorpian companion

There is nothing. Tried it on the bear and the wolf as well. I should mention im using the reforged set, but also tried with the regular set and there is nothing. This frenzy buff (but bigger) sounds more like the roar from the new trex relic, make sure that isnt on. I honestly dont even see the companion attacking faster when it gets hit by the storm totem
yeah this is bugged for sure. Enrage is supposed to increase companion attack/cast speed by 60% and move speed by 35%. Since there seems to be no icon for a status of the buff i can only watch how fast it appears to attack while storm totem is hitting it. and it appears to be the same. But the real test is this. I time the pets movement from one point to another, and then hit it with the storm totem, and the time did not change. Going to aubmit a bug report.
Does Spark Nova from Halo Effect in Lightning Blast get any benefits which target Spark Charges? Like for example Mortal Capacitor in the Lightning Blast Tree or the "+2 Lightning Damage for Spark Charge per Intelligence" from Enigma.

It's up to you. The forums will let you post in one big chunk. I will caution you that most of the time when an extremely large suggestion is posted, the vast majority of it is completely unusable. Bite sized, distilled and very high quality suggestions are much more useful. Putting the goal and key point in 1-2 sentences at the top is very useful. Most of the time the most that's written, the less likely it is to be used. This isn't always true but the giant ideas often hinge on one impossible detail.

what is the difference between swapping to offline and changing the steam setting to full offline? is the first offline but with cloud saves and the second is full offline only on that system?
offline can still access with server, so you can see global chat and submit bug reports. True offline mode just for playing.
Both can have cloud saves (that's through Steam, not LE), they use the same exact save files on your computer.
Regular offline requires you to log in on game startup so that you can access the things Kirra mentioned. Full offline you can startup with zero internet connection, and is the only way to startup when the game servers are down.
if i have an exalted item that already has a sealed affix...what happens when i use rune of evolution? does it overwrite the previous sealed ? or can i not use it on an item that already has sealed affix?

What's wrong with Aberroth's Ward shield? It looks like he gets either 95% reduced or no damage at all while his ward shield is active edit: it's not phasing stage when he is incredibly tanky, even during his regular moves he is tanky as hell

I feel like if you sort price low to high, that kinda does that
A lot of items are priced low because they are primordial (mostly from the champion woven echo with unpopular champion affixes afaik). But they'll also have other exalted affixes that people actually want. I think just giving primordial exalts their own rarity in the rarity filter would be enough to solve it if that's possible to do. I'll drop it in the forum
they don't have the same type of rarity classification but we already have work arounds for exalteds in the first place as they also don't follow the normal rarity rules.
Yeah like an item with 2 affixes, one being exalted is technically a magic item still but the exalted affix takes priority right (in how it displays at least)
Feels like exalted isn't even a rarity but more like this x rarity item has an exalted mod, seems similar to how primordial exalts work in that this x rarity item has a primordial exalt. I'll pray for muffin and the others that it's not too bad to implement 🙏

I dont see this on known issues and idk if its a bug, but are you guys aware of the massive memory issues with stashes? I was fortunate enough to find one single "reroll unique item stats" woven echo and when I opened my stash and changed tabs it slowed my game to a crawl then crashed. Been having many issues where opening stash causes massive performance decline.

Think you have to be moving/interacting with the game/stashes. I dont think just chat is enough. But yes there is a rarer bug with the afk timer so when it happens and you think it shouldnt use f8 to report it

Yea, you make a condition for affix and select all you want and set atleast 2 higher than level 6. Then make another similar condition and set atleast 1 level 7

Does completing Rampant Coast (Woven Echo) increase the LP potential on Evolution's End (and other Primordial drops when completing a lineage)? If it doesn't, it's one of the rare FeelsBadMoments in the game (congrats on successfully focusing on avoiding those, btw) because Rampant Coast would otherwise be bad for farming Evolution's End since it makes the lineages longer but good for everything else related to Primordial items.
Question regarding Forge Guard summon armor and the Primordial Spear. Trying to figure out if the armor only gets the base stats of the spear or the boosted ones (if i wear enough magic items). It feels that at least move speed the armor gets the boosted stats. Can someone clarify?

I know ailments don't inherit multipliers from their skill that depend on the status of the target(ie damage vs chilled/cursed/etc) but is the same true for uniques that have similar modifiers? so things like aspect of the spider which give your minions more damage vs slowed or unearthed memories that gives more DoT vs cursed

yup, dies is dies. The edge case here is unsummoning. If you are at your cap for a minion type and summon more, that minion can trigger "on death" abilities for itself but it probably won't trigger external on death effects.

Nub is right, check your weaver tree, you've likely got a node in there which did it.

It's worded a little poorly when looking at forge guard. The stat that gives the bonuses per magic item is the stat line which gives those stats. It doesn't actually modify the stats on the item. Unique effects like that are not passed down to minions. If that line was passed down, your Manifest Armor also doesn't have any magic items equipped to scale the stats with if it did.
So the armor does only benefit from raw stats and not from my boosted stats at all?

It might be the ISP not playing nice with the server. That has happened before in various regions. We have sometimes had to wait for the ISP to basically green flag our server for some security thing they have.

Just as an aside, the server who is doing the damage calculations doesn't even know that you've got an MTX equipped which is all client side.

It has to do with item loading order. Items load before skills so the gloves apply first and then heartseeker applies.

good morning. Looking for some clarity on maelstrom that is casted using the scorpion. It uses the scorpions stats and maelstroms tree. How about the storm bolts casted via the maelstrom tree from the scorpions maelstroms. Do those use the scorpion stats or the players?

Ha the Farsite Turtle been disabled? I have put pages and pages of items in it and I have not seen 1 come back with LP. I am currently speed running 400+ corruption, and this is really killing itemization for me

The primary function for the turtle is to strip LP so an item can be egged and the lottery result is increased LP.

Thanks Mike. I was under the impression that it "redrops" an item at the same chance to get LP, is that not thhe case? I have put in more than a full page of Siphon of Anguish through it, some had 2 LP. Not a single ring can back with LP, is that as expected?
There are no affixes which are primordial affixes. Items become primordial when a normal affix becomes T8.
putting a 2lp siphon in is going to result in 3lp rouhgly .4% of the time. so 99.6% chance for 0lp

the chances are not the same as drop chances. they are worse. I don't know if the numbers you put there are the drop chances or not
That is not the case. That is expected. It sounds like some less than awesome luck but you could theoretically put 100000 of them in and get 0LP on all.
I can confirm that it IS possible for things to go up (just to add some anecdotal evidence of it not being disabled or anything), I've had a few do that this season, it's just rare.
It also has no memory so the chance does not go up as you do more.
The personal affix "Increased Minion Damage and + Maximum Companions" doesnt exist when I look for it in Bazaar filter. I have it on a helmet and I dont think thats a normal affix that exists outside of primordial items.
It redrops with a lower chance at LP, and items with 2 LP have an even higher chance of becoming 0 LP than 1 LP items, since it turns to 0 unless that penalized LP roll goes higher than what it had.
Personal affixes are not primordial. Two completely different things. There is no way to get a primordial personal affix. Personal affixes only drop in very specific pre-determined locations in the campaign on very specific pre-determined items.

Was this intended to always allow the use of an howl ability even if we cannot summon a wolf due to max companion limit? If so, is it intended that when we have a T-Rex and we have the Safety in Numbers node (which lets us summon wolves up to the companion limit) we can only have one wolf summoned before we get locked into the Howl ability?

It's not a great interaction. We're still working out how best to hand it. Currently you'll have to unequip the item causing the extra minions to auto-summon first. We didn't set out to create this paradigm but it is doing exactly what it should so it's not really a bug so to speak.

Doing this we can have the wolves/squirrels summoned but they despawn when we try to reallocate the extra skill points so this does not work. currently this item is unusable with permanent bond. Is this intended?

Why dont you just try it out yourself... get the strongest character you have, enter a cemetry, place 5-10 echos, !!! make sure you DON'T HIDE any items during your test... and fail half of the runs.
In general i would say, item amount should be always the same, because you kill allways the same amount of beasts.
IF you failed during this test period and get runs where you DO NOT get 8 primordials, you have your answer and are welcomed to share your knowledge with us.
A dev does not have know any nuance of the game they are working on.

Heya o/ I got a few Acolyte/poison-themed questions:
- Wandering Spirits's tree can cause the spirits to fire a projectile called "Spectral Putrescence", that is said to have 100% chance to poison on hit. Do those projectiles count as spells (for the purpose of "Chance to poison on spell hit")?
- Same question for the Poison Bolts that can be fired by the eponym node in Aura of Decay.
- In the Wandering Spirits tree, you can reduce the spirit reveal range. Does doing so a. Reduce the number of revealed spirits to maintain the same concentration of revealed spirits per unit of area, or b. Conserve the same number of revealed spirits, increasing the number of revealed spirits per unit of area? (Specifically when using Song of the Lost Chantry to make Wandering Spirits channeled)

Yesterday, I saw someone on this discord say that prophecies that give uniques when killing a boss can drop boss specific uniques of that boss - So for example, a prophecy that says "Kill Formosus the Undying to get 4 unique boots" can drop Last Steps of the Living. Is that true?
I'd have to go digging around in the code to check that and I'm not able to do that right now. I would be shocked if that was true.

This is the skill that both Wandering Spirits and Aura of Decay use. Because it doesn't have hit damage and doesn't have a spell tag, it won't work.
Changing the reveal range just changes how spread out they are revealed in. The spell works by defining a max range in which to randomly reveal a spirit in. By changing that range, you are changing the max distance in which they can be revealed. That's it. The total number revealed doesn't change which does change the density.

A few things.. I am trying to play an Aura of Decay acolyte. Why do you have to disable healing for drain life to convert it to poison? Also, I notice a distinct lack of poison enhancing items from the Primordial item pool. Pretty much it is just the one with Multishot. None in the store. (This also applies to DoT)
I also kinda thought Poison would get a buff here. Seems the appropriate time.
Time Beast is the internal name for it. We changed the name to Rift Beast for release. Looks like someone just forgot to use the new name.
It's a combination of being thematically appropriate, a balancing mechanism and just a mechanical difference so it's not just the same thing but a different colour.
I thought that by enhancing the class, the support stats would come with it.

I think it's too early to really tell yet. Most players are still exploring the system. Boots are a funny slot. They have a lot of competition and often have some really important features that a primordial version ends up feeling lackluster or obviously best in slot I think. We didn't intentionally set out to make an even split of which slots were being used. It's not the only item base type with no primordials though. Quiver, 1H Sword, 2H Sword, 1H Axe, 2H Mace and Sceptre I think are the others.

I just ran the Brewery woven echo. The objective was to "Slay enemies to locate the Brewmaster". After killing a bunch, the Brewmaster spawned right next to me.
Is that how those objectives work in general? Is it impossible to find the target early because they only spawn afer you've killed enough enemies to locate them?

Whenever my second character goes to the summit, the game crashes. This never happens to any of my other characters.

That's just how that one specific echo works, it's really an ambush objective. In typical "locate the boss" objectives, the boss spawns in at the start.
So considering that the player numbers are decreasing, should there be a buff in faction gain for people that move from market to circle? In my opinion, it feels bad to return to a market character after the first week when prices are already inflated.

- Can it absorb more than 20 minions, or will it automatically summon after 20?
- If it can absorb more than 20, will it count the first 20 to determine its health, or the last 20, or the strongest 20, or something else?
- If it can absorb more than 20, will it count all of them for effects that are based on an amount of a certain minion absorbed? So for example, if I absorb 20 skeletons and 5 bone golems, it can only benefit from 20 of those to determine its max health, but will I still get the full 20 skeletons and 5 golems counted for the purpose of specialization nodes?

Fangs of the berserker seems like it doesn’t care about some frenzy increasing effects. Can’t tell don’t care to test anymore.
Afaik generic frenzy effect applies to your minions too if you give them frenzy, while frenzy effect on you wouldn't. Not sure why one is labeled as added and the other increased but they should both be additive with each other when it comes to frenzy effect on yourself. I might be wrong but that's how it looks to me.

Looks like whoever programmed Fangs of the Berserker just chose 1 type of frenzy and called it a day. Can’t really blame them unless they knew there’s more than 1 type of frenzy.

have you tried testing the eterra's blessing overgrowth node? I would just be going into game to check that way.
Swipe in totem mode won't do that as "use" is when you press the button and hit something. Looks like the alt text confirms this.

no, your chance to find potions does spike if you aren't at max potions though. Since it isn't not guaranteed, you'll need to go by feel. Do more individual hits to get more potions.

I'm not sure which 20 it uses. I would have to assume it's the first 20. This should be fairly easily testible if you have a few though. You should be able to create an auto resummoning loop and just channel for a long time starting with 1 minion type and then doing more than 20 auto summons of another and then see if it gets the ability from the first.

We have long considered the best way to incorperate a socketing system into the game. We have so far been unsuccessful in finding something that feels right as a more classic version is essentially just our crafting system slightly abstracted.
Pretty sure it just uses the leader's but I think someone was trying to change that. If it's not in the patch notes then that didn't happen.
I don't think so and I think that was a bug. It may have been fixed in a recent patch.

do levels in skills actually increase the damage of the skill or is it just "skill points for putting in the tree" for instance would a level 1 skill do the same damage as the same skill at if it were level 30 if neither had any points in the tree?

Season is ok sad we can't use purple primordial and a unique primordial, was also sad its limited to 1, I've farmed couple dozen t Rex heads love him. Sad I could spent whole season farming while.sets and builds but I'm limited to 1 item so get a lp 2+ stop farm weavr bags max stop and pretty much don't touch primordial again....

We aren't able to pause in online mode yet. Offline mode has a pause function. This is one of the main reasons we added the red border flash when you take damage with a menu open.

Hello, You know what I find unfortunate in LE is the lack of group games (multiplayer). Here we play a solo game with a community chat. In Diablo 3, for example, we had ZeroDamage Tank builds with DPS in the group, we had the possibility to join a guild, we often played in groups. I don't know if you see what I mean.
I mean you have that in this game too. For example healing hands paladin has been a staple support build for dedicated groups for a while now. But regardless please post feedback in the #1210281911872786482 . It doesn't get logged or considered in this channel.

Yes, that was the point of my question. The "Rampant Coast" woven echo increases the evolution limit by one permanently. This means it will take me longer to get an Evolution's End. I was wondering if I should skip that, or if it is worth taking longer because the Evolution's End is more likely to have LP in return.

Please post feedback in the #1210281911872786482 . Skill trees are all about making choices and weighing the opportunity cost. Not being able to pick every node you want is kinda the whole point. Sometimes you can use opportunity cost elsewhere like your gear for more skill levels and unique properties like conversions.

No, it can have a slight variance. I don't know the exact value take off the top of my head though.

Update 1.2.3 made some changes to FP with Imprints:
Reworked Forging Potential roll for similar items. Low and medium Forging Potential imprinted items result in drops with higher FP on average, and even low Forging Potential imprinted items have a chance to result in items with normal Forging Potential.

Prior to that, if you had a 0 FP item imprinted, you'd always get low FP Exalted items. For example, before that change I had a 0 FP Imprinted and was constantly getting stuff like 7 FP Exalted items. After that change, you now at least have a chance where the FP is usable. But yes, if you imprint 0 FP you may get some lower FP out of it as well.

Just saw the last dev chat -- regarding the question about campaign skip. That's a valid point.
You leave Soulfire Bastion without any way to get to Temporal Sanctum. You can't teleport via key because it's not unlocked.
The solution right now is to go back and pick up where you left the campaign before SB. Get to the dreadnought, travel to Shining Cove and follow the campaign until you unlock TS.
If that's a bug, you'd make many people happy by fixing it 🫡
Please make the abomination pet respawn automatically with the player when you die. its genuinelly awful to have to spend 1-2 min resummoning it, buffing it and tweaking your skill bar every death. it makes attempting things like uber needlessly painful.

No. The lich's scorn buffs aren't dread shade buffs, so dread shade buff effect wouldn't affect them.
When you say related what do you mean? It won't drop the T7 sealed affix every time it goes off, that's the rarest outcome for it.
To begin with there's only a 3% chance of it happening at all, and then it has to pick one of the affixes and then roll the tier on that affix, and obviously the higher the tier the rarer it is. So not getting the right affix at tier 7 in the seal isn't surprising in 7 hours

If you've killed 60 champions it's around an 80% chance that it has happened at least once, but hitting that 20% of not getting a single proc isn't crazy either.

I can do some testing my self but if I use creation on multiple items and the slams are the same idk how much the rng is there to blame
even for LP3 item since you guarantee the first slot makes hitting two of the same affixes only 33% chance. thats still pretty big and hitting 4-5 item pairs in row with same slams is nothing out of ordinary

I am sorry but if you do 10 slams ,5 original and 5 creation and they all hit same affixes something doesnt work ,thing is you can only use it once so its hard to prove but just keep using runes creation ,not all slams cant end on same affix,1 ,2,3 lp items all hit what the other did before.
The assumption is that they're independent events with 33% probability. If you do 10 uniques with the same lp with 5 exalt pairs and all pairs hit the same thing it's the same as having 5 uniques and 5 copies of the same exalt hit the same thing
And doing that 5 times in a row is not common but it is possible, it would be about a 0.4% chance. I'd definitely report it if it did happen but it wouldn't be definitive proof.
You seem to mention there is a weighting in the sealed tier, which makes sense, but is there also a weighting in the chosen affix to seal or is it a flat 1/4 ? Thinking of rare affixes like +lvl

For that particular imprint, I don't think the FP matters as you don't get copies of the item. You just get new items that happen to have a sealed mod based on the imprint.

hello, is it a known issue/bug/ai problem of Abomination running around monsters ? like it starts attacking I run past mobs, he then ops master why are you so far and speeds up x2 run past me, do two-three circles around monster/boss then decide - ops yes fighting sure will do captain and starts attacking.

- Guild Merchant : the ability to search multiple T7 exalts , like items with 2 T7 exalts its painful to just look through 100 pages to find a single item with double T7
- Returning to end of time puts camera back to latest played timeline (Would be a nice QoL)
- Instead of accessing each Item type for Guild Merchant , why i cant just open any of them and swap between them instead of walking all the way.
- Why Imprinting non tradable items still drops non tradable items ?

also checking any affix in Guild Merchent always puts back at the top of the page ,

Nope still doable. The one they removed is on the 1x2 idols, and there they just completely removed one of the affixes from being able to roll on them.
(obviously this is from a planner but they're accurate to what's doable 99% of the time)

(Hey Mike! wink wink) Now, first of all, I have to commend yall for having pretty decent and great balance spread overall Classes - Every class in Last Epoch has the ability to do fine for endgame ~ but with a great compliment comes great questionary (< is that even a word?) ~ The question at hand may be one you guys will probably already have been asked one day or the other, regardless, it remains a valid question for you guys hence why I will ask it: Were there ever internal talks about adding a new class?(Im wording it like this on purpose because I know if the question was different and its answer was yes it would likely be a secret until revealed) for a New Class? Specifically something like Monk / Bard for instance? I would love to see this ~ maybe even as part of a Expansion (simultanously releasing with a Season) ~ but it ofc can be just released within a new season cycle aswell ~ but yeah, Last Epoch is great overall and a new Class would breath in some fresh air into a great evolving game! Knowing it requires a lot of work balancing and design wise but I'd be sure a capable team such as EHG can figure that out in the future. ~ I look forward to your answer 🙂

They have said in the past that they're more likely to do 4'th masteries before a new class. So if monk would need to be an entirely new class, if they make it at all, it likely won't be anytime soon.
Mh ~ Overall in summary that would be even more work though? No. A fourth mastery to each existing class is way less work. Masteries only have a few skills tied to them (some as low as 4), while class wide skills can number around 12 (without taking into account mastery skills to the left of the chain). They only need one passive tree each. They don't require new class specific item bases or uniques. And they can be made one by one. They wouldn't need to add a fourth mastery to each class all at once. But if they made a new class it would likely have to come with at least two masteries, if not three from the get-go.

Another Question on my mind would be - are there other Features (Social) planned, such as Clans/Guilds ingame? I can see there would be no real "need" for that, except for when there would be some sort of "group only" content in the game, perhaps maybe even a "Clan Ladder" of sorts for season? Would this be something that would be considerable?
do corruption modifiers (item rarity) also affect what you get from imprints? for exalted items especially
the devs want to add clans into the game, but they wanted it to be more than a glorified chat room option/way to avoid bazaar tax/rmt issues. so it was never a high priority
however on some recent dev streams this stance seems to be softening. if you have any specific suggestions or wants, #1210282176680169562 are the best place. the more people ask for it the higher chance of it happening

I know it's usually trasochi that does these kinds of things but I've always found the math behind things like the lp roll method interesting. Do you know how some of the numbers are picked for them? Does it start with a reference like this item should have x% chance for 1lp, 2lp etc and then the numbers in the method are tuned to match it as close as possible or is it just kinda vibes? lol
Like why 36% for 0lp on a 0lpl item, since I know that number is directly correlated to something in the method
Hi there 👋 Lead Sound Designer here. I designed the audio for the T-Rex.
The T-Rex was a fun project. Of course, most people have an expectation for how a T-Rex sounds because of Jurassic Park. Even designs I think step away from that design still maintain that core "Godzilla" approach. So first thing I did was find the core tone of what I wanted the T-Rex to sound like. I broke up the main sounds into inhales and exhales. I really wanted to sell some weight on the inhale so I flipped through some large cats until I landed on using leopard purrs, hisses, and growls. Layered several of those at different pitches and started to add non animal sounds to help bring out more unnatural and unique sounds I layered in some metal friction sounds and door squeaks lowered in pitch a lot. That formula built all of the inhales for the T-Rex. For exhales I wanted more of the trumpeting sound that most folks are familiar with. Again wanted to find the core tone and landed on humpback whales for the main note of the roar. To add some low end support as well as tie the exhale to the inhale, I blended in tiger growls and roars. You don't really hear those layers, they aren't the main part of the design but supply a lot of the feeling of size. Then again, to make the T-Rex feel less like something from our world, I blended in thunder sheet sounds and well as cardboard being cut to add some reedy raspy sounds and well as push the perceived size of the T-Rex.
I sure hope not, if it does, I would call that a bug to be fixed. I'm not sure where to even look to check that other than an insane amount of unnecessary testing. The chance is so low already that even 2x is pretty minimal. It would be a better use of gold to just buy the higher LP version.

I've been there when she was describing them but even as someone who I think is pretty good at math and visualizing functions, I get lost. I think she just has a really good idea of the overall structure and then we dial it in through vibes. Karv and Justin do a lot of fine tuning for stuff like that.
Makes sense, since yeah some of the numbers feel very arbitrary and out of nowhere 😆 . But that's not to say I think the curves are bad, I actually think they're great. Was interested in the process because of that, since I like that kinda stuff and I wouldn't know how to arrive at methods like that

If you listen super super closely you can definitely start to piece where certain hisses/growls blend into the next on the inhales. The Exhales though are so wildly processed that they blend into a sound mush. Really hard to distinguish one sound from the next.
The WW function is cursed in a good way, it took me a whole afternoon to graph it lol. To be fair though I could have most likely done it faster If I didn't choose such a lazy way of doing it

I think this will be my last questioon for the day for the devs: Will there ever be some sort of "Gearset" mechanic that for instance lets you save your Primalist Gear & Skills & Passives into a "slot" of sorts as lets say "Shaman Mastery" and then with a diff Build/Gear on Primalist Beastmaster etc? I'm well aware of respeccing etc, but that way you could easily have like a Build for farming Monoliths, and switch on the blink of an eye to one for lets say Uber Abberoth /Bosses?

hi, i bought last epoch 24 hrs ago and playing as spellblade, 50% time meele/ 50% spell
i wore earpiece to play and the sound effect of melee wpns gets pretty monotonous (bit pitchy) after awhile.
a suggestion is it will be more atmospheric enjoyable to have different distinct sound effects for diff class of melee wpns on different class of monsters.

Btw, I know you tackled the Question in a way in your Q&A Stream 2 days ago, I think it has been a question about the Season 3 in general (in size) - I think the common conception is that the new Act and its execution were top notch and overall very impressive - regardless of this, you mentioned about getting time patterns right (due to other ARPGs constant release schedule etc) - to get to the actual question: Wouldn't it be possible or even like better to have Seasons evolve the story in little chunks, as in bridges while actually working on actual Expansions? Expansions would be a good tool to build the story more, or therefore focus more on the story, when having seasons to bridge the gap in between, maybe in 3 season cycles, or more flexible idk. I think many people love the Lore so far. I know Expansion can be a "Fear" factor due to expectations, but the overall Expansion "Size and Content" should be justified with its prize so therefore you would have some playroom as to what to "put out" - Have you and the Team had the thought of having expansions overall especially for Last Epochs future Story? I think it would help with LEs Growth immensely (ofc time of release would play a big role here which you stated isnt that easy to determine but still)

Why do you apply the already entered penalty to an echo when the game stops you at the loading screen due to corrupted data? Happens about 1/3rd of the time entering the nemesis tower echo so it's a fairly significant impediment to progress.

Ohhhh I understand that question now. Totall missed what it was about in stream. That's actually intentional. We had planned to have many more dungeons created by now such that you could pick various routes through the campaign through various dungeons.

I think I expected people to jump on Harmoney sooner but I think that one takes a long time to build towards so we probably won't see much there until the patch has sunk in a bit more.

very, I frequently think back to D2 days and looking at loot filters, there are a bunch of things that you have to pick up because they could maybe be good and the vast majority of the time you're disappointed. I'm not a big fan of that feeling so frequently. Having such a massive pool of items that could potentially be useful, needing to identify them all would probably not be great for LE. I think it's more about how it fits into our overall loot system that makes sense compared to other arpg loot systems where it makes sense there. You can tell the vast majority of important pices to pick up in D2 without needing to identify them. The outliers are essentially specific magic/rare items on specific bases.

Making certain things mutually exclusive creates decision points that are often interesting for selecting gear. The most obvious type is that you can't wear 2 pairs of gloves at a time.

Personally speaking, LE's loot filter alone makes the game for me approx 2.3 trillion times more enjoyable than anything else would ever have in its place. I'm a control freak and being able to adjust it on the fly does wonders for my ocd
I don't think that was actually a bad change. I just would have liked to make LP rarer and cap it on a per item basis. This is not a popular opinion though so I don't think it'll happen.
I'd be fine with that too. I think most items should be capped at 3 at absolute most. Hell, I think a lot should be 2 or even 1 (Worldsplitter for example has so many benefits just by itself, I see zero reason it should be able to have another 100+ flat damage + almost 20% flat crit or almost 60% attack speed as examples)
Was a system of "buying" determinism ever considered when making the LP changes of 1.2? Eg. A system where you use some sort of currency that varies based on the LPL of the item so something like Red Ring is harder to lock in an affix vs something like The Kestral.
Just wondering how the 1 affix guaranteed decision was reached which doesn't offer any discrimination between high LPL items where the effect is powerful vs low LPL where it's relatively weak.
System complexity was the limiting factor. If I remember correctly, we were trying to keep the change as low scope as possible. The issue with it shifting the "feels bad" to the items which realistically max out at 2LP and offering the least power to the lowest LPL items was known going in.

I can't say it's a high value target at the moment but if the right solution comes along, I don't think it would be blocked.
why doesn't Dark Scythe node on Summon Wraith tree also add "cast speed"? seems like a miss for Flame/Putrid Wraith Necros, makes the node completely pointless

For instance Carrion of Creation (Frostbite [and other things] -> Bleed) and Serpent Strike Frostwyrm's Fury (Bleed -> Frostbite)
Items happen first then still ones happen after.

Should spirit plague node "Endless Decay" give a buff for stacks? I was testing the skill on dummies and then mobs. The node "Pestilence" stacks up to 13x and increases DoT and shows a buff with stack counter but not seeing anything for "Endless Decay"
How much does Increased critical chance 100% actually gives
Pestilence has the same trigger condition, duration, and max stacks, so they just use the same buff icon to conserve the limited space on your bar. You should be able to see both of their effects impact your stats on your character sheet.
