Yes. Rank requirements are only applied to items acquired/modified by the Item Faction's benefits. Since the item factions don't exist yet, no items have any faction rank requirements.

We have Legacy (standard) and Cycle (League/Season). Current characters are legacy characters. Once 1.0 drops, you'll be able to make new legacy or cycle characters.

Is there a way to benchmark your damage in game currently, outside of killing monsters? Are there any plans to do this? A test dummy with like, the ability to change stats about it (increase its poison resist, armor, etc) so that we can get an idea of how much damage we are doing (or if our recent gear swap/passive swap is helping or hurting lol)

We very intentionally do not have an accurate dps meter system in the game. We don't currently intend to add one. The dummies at Champion's Gate will have to suffice for 1.0

A: Ah, we’ve been talking about different things to do there. I know we’ve had a lot of requests recently about more accurate DPS meters. There’s good and bad things about having really accurate DPS calculations available. It would present a really clear way of comparing builds against each other – and that happens with the ladder already – but once you get say, ‘this build has ten thousand DPS and this build has eight thousand DPS’ suddenly you get a lot more pressure from players to play the highest DPS build. This tends to homogenize builds, and it’s something we’d prefer to avoid if we can. I think having forty different, fun, and playable builds out there is a really cool concept.

Are there any plans to introduce a mechanic where lets say we can use 5x the arena keys for 5x the rewards? My pain point is that arenas take too long, aren't as rewarding in terms of gameplay loop (boss fight not as fun as other dungeons) and the keys drop too often (makes me feel like I *need * to grind them out but the keys keep piling up).
I'm already thinking of making an AFK minion build or something similar but that would mean I have to create a new char and grind out enough gear to make the build viable and that's a lot of time invested for a build I might not enjoy.
I understand that the problem will also solve itself if I just didn't care about the arena content, but I am sure there are some issues with arena that can be improved.
I was thinking shortening the gameplay from 40 rounds to 20 or making the spawn rate of the enemies much faster so there are no empty moments when waiting between waves might fix the boringness of the gameplay but that might introduce more issues like performance issues since there is a higher mob density constantly.

With the addition of the trade guild, will more gold sinks / meaningful uses for gold be added? At the moment the only things I’ve observed creating a demand for gold that could outpace collection are stash tabs and juicing the dungeon vault. Are you looking to add more or is it expected that these sinks should suffice to keep the economy healthy?

No. We don't have any pity systems in the game.
1.0 will not come with any more major gold sinks. Given that we already have a directly competing gold sink in the Lightless Arbor, if we were to add another way to convert gold directly into items, one of those two would be the good one and the other would be the noob trap. We generally try to avoid adding noob traps. If we find that this is insufficient, we will consider adding more if needed.

Hi, I wanted to know a bit more about the inside of Adaptive Boss Damage Reduction.
Many players just see this as a punishment for having too much damage.
I wonder why you choose such a solution instead of another which would be perceived as more rewarding for the player ?
As far as I'm concerned, the only problem I have about Adaptive Boss Damage Reduction is that I know it's there, but I have no idea about how to play around it and I'm never sure if an upgrade is actually really an upgrade in a boss fight.
One option which I assume would feel more rewarding would be for instance :
Bosses have high base resistance but low base damage and each time the boss uses an attack, it reduces his resistance and if the player gets hit by the attack, it empowers the attack for the rest of combat.

There is no way to "play around it". Upgrades are still upgrades, and more damage will make you kill the boss faster - just not at a 1:1 rate.

I just realized my performance issues and my low gpu utilization (which leads to low fps) in some places with a lot of mobs/effects were because of a UnityCrashHandler task in task manager that appears after a while after playing. Ending that task brings back my gpu to 90%+ utilization and increases my fps A LOT (90+ fps compared to 40 fps in places with a lot of mobs) why does this happen? what's up with that UnityCrashHandler task?

It just means "chaos" with more or less the same range of meanings as the English word. It's not particularly close either to the term "void" itself in any context, nor to the specifics of how void works in LE setting.

It has both meanings depending on the context, but LE's depiction is twisting the nature of various creatures, plants and even locations into its opposite, and cancerous growths of amorphous purple sludge. Hardly a picture that comes to mind when hearing something like "[первозданный] хаос" in Russian, although neither does it come to mind at hearing "primordial chaos" for that matter.
The most direct equivalent would be "ничто" but the problem with Void in LE is that it's not exactly "nothingness" - as in, perhaps the end goal of Orobyss and co is nothingness, but in-game it's actually purple tumors and hordes of raving cultists
The big problem with this line of reasoning in translation is that LE is an ongoing project and we need to assume the possibility that something named "Chaos" or "Abyss" or some such can be added in the future, at which point its most direct and reasonable translation would be taken up by a previous term where it's a worse fit.

LE is made with Unity, that handler helps capture info that can be used to diagnose the crash to fix it.

I think you might have touched upon this either on a Friday stream or the podcast with ghazzy and DM, I was wondering what your guys philosophy is around getting access to pinnacle content. As in the process of being able to do a pinnacle boss, if you guys want it to be rng based, consistent, something you can save multiple instances of and spam all in a row or otherwise.
if you start the game in offline mode, you don't have access to any networking features of any sort at all. It just doesn't use the internet for anything.
Will it be possible to download an offline client of sorts from your guys site in case ones steam account gets logged out for whatever reason? (Someone was saying steam logs you out after a certain period of being offline, which isn't something I've never heard but made me wonder about this)
we don't have too many details on that which we can share yet but what I can say is that we do want the process to unlock the fight to be something that you do have to unlock by interacting with other parts of the endgame. So not just some scary door right at the start that you can go into whenever you want but rather something that you need to maybe accomplish first.

Have you been keeping tabs on how Diablo 4 is approaching the Duriel fight and how to access it? Have you seen player feedback on it and how a lot of people don't like having to grind non-rewarding activities to get access to a pinnacle boss.

What you have now I think is a great balance of farming rewarding echoes (nodes for target farming and runes, money, etc. as rewards) which ends in farming either shade or echo bosses, no unrewarding content.
so if we have no unrewarding content, if we're doing that content to unlock the pinnacle boss then we wouldn't be having players grind non-rewarding activities
I also don't have details on this that I can share at the moment because it's not fully fleshed out in detail yet and things could still change.

Hard to come up with a suitable LE metaphor (which is a good sign in itself) but maybe people don't like arena. And maybe you know that the people who like Arena are different to the people who like grinding echos. As it is (and the jury is out on this) people who want to do Arena HAVE to interact with the echo web to get their keys reliably. Thankfully, as we said doing the echo web is rewarding in itself, but maybe I really really don't like doing arena, but you gate doing pinnacle bosses about interacting with arena.

Honestly, on the topic of Keys in general, I would love to see an option where once you had completed a certain key-gated content once, you could then purchase a key to repeat it directly at the entry point. Like a whitesmith you can turn in your keys to, and then purchase one on-demand for each tier of content.
So you still have to find one, but then you can just buy them.
It would probably mean each tier has a separate key, so that they can be curved to appropriate level content, but eh...

The metal was too brittle when forged thin enough that you could take keys on and off and the rings just kept shattering. Maybe a mysterious traveler will bring the solution to the smiths eventually.
why do you need a ring when the ground has a good large area to store keys that definitely wont be stolen the second you leave the area by some loot hoarding key gobbler

you still pick online or offline characters in character select like before. You can tell if you've launched the game with the pure offline client because you won't have access to chat or the ladder or the social panel.

I have no idea whether it was an internal or external decision, but after the reveal dates were given in the 1.0 roadmap, I have been so excited and eagerly awaiting 25th of Jan so I can see the awesomeness of the Warlock. But then I find out the Warlock reveal is stretched over a week and it feels super deflating and very meh. It’s like waking up on Christmas then your parents telling you “just kidding! You get one present today, the rest we will let you open over the week”. I suppose it is feedback more so than asking a question of the devs. Love the work you guys do but that extended reveal is -_-

AFAIK, Chaos is just that, chaos. It doesn't really apply to LE's void concept if you excuse my wording... I'm not even sure the team themselves have a good grasp on it. 🤔 'tleast that's what I assumed from Mike's response earlier.
On that matter, I'm still "out there" translation-wise... So far, it kinda feels that the closest synonym would be "nihility" as in "небытие", but again, I might be off the mark again.

Each enemy has a set amount of xp that it gives out. If you are significantly underleveled, you receive less than the normal xp from that enemy.

We haven't said anything about this yet because it's not set up yet. It doesn't need to be until 1.1 comes out.

Hey Mike. Please answer me it is very important. I lost a two full stash-tabs cathegories with items in offline mode. All I wanted to do was deleting other empty tabs but the game deleted (somehow) my MAIN tabs. Is there any way to recover it's data in files ?

Make a couple new categories.
This is a known bug that has been fixed for 1.0. Depending on how many categories have been deleted since you reorganized the order, you'll have to re-make that many new categories, restart the game and the tabs should reappear.

yes, those would all be comparable within the parameters laid out, as long as your skill is a bow skill that has the physical tag

I don't really get excited when items drop. Look at poe, they have sounds when special items drop, hopefully the game will have sounds like this. And I also hope the game will have super rare items like divine and mirrors in poe, which should make us “Wow” when they drop

I'm trying to figure out what scales the damage of the holy eruption subskills in the judgement tree, I found a post that states the followoing : ''Judgment Eruption doesn't get any of versus high health, versus ignited, or crit versus ignited.''.
There is the flaming soul node that scales the damage of the consecrated ground and holy eruption states : ''when consecrated ground finishes IT casts holy eruptions'' does that mean that flaming soul will scale the subskill?

vs high health, vs ignited, crit vs ignited are all examples of conditional effects. Damage that only happens under specific conditions. These are each individually coded and don't work like normal stats do.
When a skill creates a subskill, it passes along all of its stats. Conditional damage effects are not stats and don't get passed along unless otherwise specifically stated.
Holy Eruption is a subskill of Consecrated Ground and does get all the stats passed down. This includes the damage increase from the Flaming Soul node.

Is there a way ingame to discern whether something is a conditional effect and won't get passed on? Or is that currently just "you have to know"?
if it specifies a specific condition of the target under which it will work, it is a conditional effect.
some random examples of the types of conditions: size, ailment stacks, blinded, boss, branded, cursed, distance, feared, frozen, full health, has ailment, has negative ailment, high health non-boss, low health, moving, stunned. (not a complete list)
They are all properties of your target.
That helps a lot! So, conditions based on the target do not get passed on, but conditions based on the player do? So for example, %damage while player is full health is not a conditional effect?

I should probably mention that it checks player conditionals at cast time, so if the sub skill is very delayed because of a trigger chain or just one of the parts taking a long time, if you fulfill the requirement part way through, it won't work and if you lose the requirement part way through, it will continue to work anyways.
Basically, it converts the player caster conditionals into stats right as you cast it so those stats that it creates get passed down normally and it never rechecks.

I wouldn't assume that it's gonna be a rough launch server side. The devs seem to have done a lot of things to ensure that everything should work well.

I'm not going to give you a straight answer on this one. There are ways to use reshade that are not ok. I think that almost all of what most people want to use it for is totally fine. It's just those few edge cases that mean I can't give you a firm answer.
Generally, third party tools which do not depend on or react to the state of the game and do not grant an advantage are fine.
This is subject to change.
Having said that, I don't think we've ever banned someone for using reshade so far.

Hey so I was wondering after seeing some Warlock if we'd get more multidamage type support encouraging us to change around more. Things like Eternal Eclipse, Archmage Endeavor, and to an extent the function of RM's moveset makes me think we'll see more things that support it down the line
I've been messing with Eternal Eclipse with Void Cleave to an immense success. Its a niche use that takes some effort to set up so it has been really enjoyable to get it all working together so amazingly. Seeing the possibility of more niche uses like it is very exciting!
depends if you could things like serialization of prefabs or scenes. Generally you don't but you could make an argument to do so for effect. Either way I don't know but, extremely conservatively, I'd guess in the hundreds of thousands of lines.
it's not like we have a group effort to make more of these types of effects or anything. It's just a neat design space that we explore from time to time.

if you have a unique with legendary potential , and then you use an eternity cache with an exalted item that is factioned from the other side, how does the factions affect it? E.g. 2 LP Unique (CoF faction), buy an exalted item from Merchants guild; are you able to combine the two? Is the outcome still just a CoF Item with no merchant level restricts? Or is it not possible at all?
You can't ever put 2 items with conflicting requirements in the cache at the same time. So you can't put a primalist item in with a rogue item and you can't put a CoF item in with a MG item.
If either item has a faction rank requirement, the resulting item will have that faction rank requirement.

Given that you will almost never find the same item twice, we don't have plans to attempt to price history similar items. It's easy to do if we are talking about glyphs and runes because they are always the same but with such high variance items, it's not something we have a good solution for. Each item would need to have a manually defined, "relevant stat" fields or something. I also clearly don't know enough about economies because I have no idea how we can be sure that demand will outpace supply by a huge margin.
Well obviously the implicits will be different. But a 2/3/4LP of an item is going to be relevant to another 'same' item

do you see my point on the LP history though? It has such high variance in the affixes that you could almost make the argument that a 1LP max rolled is potentially more valuable than a min rolled 3LP. The variance you'd see in a price history with the only factors being LP would make the data useless.

I see your point I do, but you also cherry picked a unique that is overtuned and has an extremely high roll variance if I'm being honest. The example I gave has a varience that's much smaller and a min-rolled one at 2lp is crazy good still

yea, I grabbed an extreme example to make it obvious but if you make it unreliable for some then you create this noob trap for people who use the data incorrectly and will end up crazy overpaying for items.

yes thats the right place. sometimes the cutscene to make the floor glitches. if you go back and do an echo in one of the 90s, and go immediately back to the chest, it should retrigger the scene

Yes, several. The new character journey is dynamic and customizable. I think it would be a mistake to add these rewards to the monolith at this time.

How do you go about giving spark charges the damage bonus from skill nodes like in lightning blast or surge? Since there's the middleman ailment how do you stop the bonus from getting lost in the sauce?
Or are you able to attach it to the ailment (spark charge) and then have the spell (spark charge) inherit it or something?
It's the same as shadow daggers and I never get either of them quite right. I think that's essentially how it works though.

The new Grimhilde's Domain node on the Warlock tree grants 10% more Witchfire damage per global chance to ignite and 30% per global chance to inflict damned. Does this mean if I had 500% chance to ignite, my Witchfire would do 50% more damage?
In the announcements for the Item Faction system, it was said "You will join a faction once you reach the great mercantile city of Maj'elka". Was it an oversight in messaging that you reach Maj'elka in the Imperial Age before you reach it in the Divine Era (when it is at prominence), or will you unlock your faction in the Imperial Era? The video demonstration all seems to take place after you meet Zerrick in the Divine Era.

If it's not any trouble could you do a quick Explain like I'm 5 on why? Is it not just changing a PNG?
Not saying it's as easy as that but logically that's what I assume many people would think that change entails.
We can change the 1 sprite that it uses for the cursor, that's not hard to do but we don't have a way to change it once the game is built. So currently, in order to have a different mouse cursor, you'd have to download a completely different game client and we aren't prepared to double the amount of builds that can fail just because they are having an off day and have people download an entirely separate game client just to be able to add 1 additional mouse cursor. Adding a 2nd option would triple the build failure chance and validation time. On top of that, in order to just see the other one, you'd have to download another some 16GB (I think it's that big now) game client.
Not sure if this was asked before, but why is there physical resistance if we already have armor?
Armor protects only against hits, while physical resistance also protects against physical dmg over time.
Armor also protects for hits from other dmg types but with 70% effectiveness
So there are some differences between the 2

Once item factions come out and as a result people will start freely trading all kinds of goods are you confident in the gold sink dungeon to keep the inflation at bay? I know that some inflation is inevitable but I'm concerned about people being "forced" to play in CoF despite that not being their preferred playstyle due to gold inflation making items prohibitively expensive to people who join in later in the cycle
I'm not the dev, but it probably won't be that bad, because items are not only expensive to buy, but also expensive to sell. Finding a good item and selling it later into the cycle will give more gold to spend

I don't think Inflation will be a big issue for several reasons.

as one person, once you buy an item that gold is effectively sunk for you (not the economy), since you cannot resell the item that you bought.

as people trade gold back and forth, they'll accrue gold and be able to afford more and more expensive items, which is as it should be. These same people that are now super rich (let's say they have hundreds of millions) will only be trading in super expensive items, this games item ceiling is wayyy higher than something like Poe since we don't have the mirror of kalandra. So while these people are buying triple exalted and 3/4 lp items your common joe won't be affected when trying to buy their 2 lp apathy's maw or whatever
Basically you can never have too much gold
There will almost always be an item you can't afford
And if there isn't you can go sink 50 mil on a crazy vault

Good question. We definitely plan to add more skills in the future. The Rogue is still missing a few skills to bring it in line with the other classes. I won't promise we add new skills each patch but more are coming in the future.

No, the engine doesn't support it. We are working to update the engine so we can start to work on features like that but it's a very long process to just update it.

(and this isn't always true because you can have some class requirements vanish if the unique doesn't take the class required affix but you still can't put 2 conflicting class requirement items into the UI to even try)

I can get AMD Fluid Motion Frames working in the game now which gives a basic implementation of frame generation as it supports all DX11/DX12 titles at a driver level, upscaling is all that is missing.

AMD FMF is only supported on AMD GPU's but FSR 3.0 should be relatively easy to add into the game and would support everything including consoles should the game head to PS5 or XBox 🙂

OK, so, the "creators of all sizes" part is clearly referring to Foton's involvement with the community and its streamers, not who this program is inherently available to join.
However, "We will not be gatekeeping Twitch Drops based on viewer or subscriber counts." implies that you don't need minimum numbers to get involved. This is probably where the confusions comes from because Lurkit is being used to connect Twitch Drops and Lurkit apparently seems to have a 250 follower requirement. Now, while that is technically different from viewer or subscriber counts, I think that this was not the intention of the statement and that this overarching contradiction is a mistake.
I do not believe that we have any control over the Lurkit minimum requirements and I expect that this will unfortunately need to be maintained in order for this whole thing to function. We are talking with Lurkit to see what we can do. Keep an eye on the original post.
On a general note, channel veterans attempting to help, if you encounter resistance, please do not attempt to push the issue and just wait for a mod or dev to show up. If it's really bad, you can occasionally ping us as some of you did do.

No, that's a bug that is fixed for 1.0
So for full transparency to the creators in this channel. At the moment - I've reached out to Lurkit to see what we can do about the restriction. In order to make Twitch Drops more accessible, we've moved those instructions to a channel in the Creators' Hub Discord Server. I just had a mid-night epiphany, if damage modifiers go all the way down the chain, how come spark charges don't inherit damage bonuses from the ailment which inherits them from the source skill?
Does it fizzle at the ailment because it's not a damaging ailment or something?
Because spark charges, like shadow daggers are the bane of my existence and I have no idea how they work. Probably some sort of forbidden magic.

I have a question about spell and melee skill design, why did team made all spells have considerable amount of base damage but melee skills having 1-2 base damage even tho base weapons provide same amount of flat damage for spells and melee skills? is it because there are weapon flat damage affixes?
Yes. They've said before that it's to make weapons feel more important/impactful for melee/bow skills while the implicit damage from caster weapons is less impactful due to the amount of base damage they get.

We very intentionally do not give every damage type to every class. We are expanding those types slowly but you won't see a major departure from the established types at 1.0.

Hi Mike, I have been watching the Warlock reveal videos. Just to say I love all the small changes the UI has received. It looks gorgeous.
We don't have a hard rule about it but if it's like the next day and nothing has changed then I doubt they will take a second look at it.

I would like to add that we do have uniques that enable classes that do not have access to void get void damage without making it innate to the class. I don't think LE would benefit from making one for each thing for each class/mastery. I assume the philosophy is more around enabling niche uses rather than expanding the identity IE Sacrificial Embrace and so on. I'm very excited to see what comes next! Will we see uniques in the patchnotes or will they have to be discovered?
I expect that we will do what we usually do and preview a portion of them but not detail each right away.

Considering that what we see in the teasers is not necessarily what it is currently implemented, should we point out wording issues, inconsistencies and typos in them? And the second question, in profane veil there is a node that makes it trivial to reduce its duration to 0, what happens then with the skill, instantly goes to cd?
It's the same as always, report it if you see it.
If you reduce the duration to zero then it just starts and stops right away.

Hello! Question on Invocations: does cast speed influence only the casting of the invocation itself or also the invocation's cast speed or cast rate? Example that i'm using: Rah Gon Rah creates a spiraling orb that deals fire damage, lasts (according to my own calculations) 4 seconds orbiting around you, and for that duration lightning chains between enemies. According to LE tools, the lightning has a cast delay of 0.4 seconds. Is that influenced by my cast speed?
hi. Mike question - currently if monsters have dodge chance from echo - they can dodge the hits even if they are frozen. Is it expected behaviour or a bug ?
Both probably cap out at the same ignite chance or maybe the ratio is wrong. It seems a little aggressive on the downside.
Cast speed reduces the time between pressing the button and the ability first appearing on screen.
Ok, so technically it does nothing for the "innate" cast rate of that "secondary" skill, the chain lightning. Got it, thanks!
Being immobilized, stunned, feared or frozen does not affect your ability to dodge. Same goes for enemies.

While you are here another hard question. Can we expect some overhaul for other classes? Right now it looks like Runemaster and Warlock (and probably falconer) are somehow a lot ahead from other classes in terms of utility, power etc. Which is reasonable, they were added later, while others are like old/stale classes.
We are constantly looking for opportunities to improve the least advanced of the skills in the game. We balance improving old ones with making new ones. This will continue.

In your interview with DM and Ghazzy you mentioned you tend to buff more intuitive build's faster than oddball ones. Any chance you can elaborate on this further? What would you consider oddball?
Take crit/phys Javelin, even got a newer unique (Sierpin's Fractal Tree) for the playstyle yet still seems to struggle from the baseline skill damage. Is that considered more oddball since it is more niche and tied to a unique, or do you more mean "unintended" builds in the sense of something that doesn't have something like a subskill or unique to build from. I think there are plenty of nodes/subskills across the game that have cool interactions to want to explore, just feels really bad for someone to put the time into gearing it just for it be worse than something that is much more "obvious".
I suspect it's like "Hey I want to use this scepter on Void Knight, why does it suck?".
It's not an intentional scale of how normal or niche a build idea is that determines the chance to get buffed. It's more of a natural thing that just happens because one of our design pillars is class identity.
The easiest example of this is mage. So it is rooted in elemental damage. If we make a new mage focused unique item, it's probably going to have a focus on some elemental damage type.
If we made a mage unique that is poison based, it's going to need to be fully self sufficient. You can see that we do have some of these items but they are much rarer. For example, the void themed mage items.
In order for our classes to maintain identity and theme we don't give them tools for entry element very intentionally. The void themed mage items are focused around a specific character which was a mage that was corrupted by the void.
So on primary theme items, skills and passives naturally have more synergy.
I kinda lost the thread there. With regards to intentional balance changes. We like to make sure that these natural builds aren't noob traps. So if someone wants to make a fire mage, that needs to be playable.
If someone wants to make a poison mage, we aren't going to intentionally stand in the way of that working but we also aren't going to prioritize it.
That said, poison mage (After 1.0)? 😏

Follow up question if you don't mind: There's items in the games like Lament of the Lost Refuge for example, which clearly are designed to make a niche build (void volcanic orb) that the class typically wouldn't support at all. I'm using this as an example because it has both clear design and it's not a well preforming build at all. Are there plans to make these type of niche builds viable by buffing them, or leave them as-is because they are weird and off the beaten-path type things
Gasper's set is another example of this, where Decimation is really not good at all

I mean, technically it's already in the game but I get what you actually mean. It's something we have considered and are so far uninterested in adding.
We don't have a clear rule on how powerful things like this should be. I think that if the clear obvious most powerful, no debate, way to play a class was through one of these items, it would be an issue we would address. This is more to do with build defining uniques being mandatory to start a build in general though.
Hey Mike. I see Chaos Bolts has a skill node that gives it a chance to attack with Harvest at the hit location. If Harvest is used that way, does it still count as a melee hit?
Yes but not using a melee skill.
If an effect said, whenever you use a melee skill that hits, it wouldn't trigger.
So it could proc Eulogy of Blood's "Chance to Cast Rip Blood at 5 nearby targets on Melee Hit (3 second cooldown)" then right?

If you post in #1123698164503949392, technically there is a chance. That said, I'm not really sure exactly what you're asking for since the -mana cost stuff that's tied to spells is only spell mana cost, so it's not wasted (and likewise -mana cost for throwing attacks is tied to throwing damage).

Does this node:
- Replace Ballista's final critical strike chance entirely? As in, all minion critical strike chance modifers are bypassed.
- Add my (the player's) final crit strike chance to the final crit strike chance of the Ballista minion?
- Only add the % increased critical strike chance modifers to the minion's base critical strike chance, additively stacking them with % increased minion critical strike chance?
I believe, based on wording and the fact it does the same for critical strike multipler, that the answer is 3, but I would just like to confirm how to scale this effectively. Thank you!

I'm not sure I understand. If you want to play with someone, you first need to join a party together.
Really, how do you handle it not being a stat? Is there a special way these 'stats' for such edge cases are stored? I presume for performance reasons some of them could be flags that adjust the damage calculations.
For ability specific, I presume one method is to just attach that 'stats' to the ability, as that is the scope of the modifier, instead of in the player's generic modifer 'pool' of 'stats'.
I don't really know how to describe it without explaining the underlying way special modifiers are handled in general and I'm sorry but I'm not really up for that right now. (In bed for the night already).
But yea, for specific abilities it goes straight to the mutator for that skill

Dear developers, I really like Last Epoch, but I'm a bit disappointed that in the CIS region the pre-order of the standard version of the game costs 35 dollars, and the pre-order of the ultimate-edition version costs 30 dollars. I, as a player who bought Last Epoch for 35 dollars a long time ago am even more disappointed, because I will not get the ultimate-edition bonuses for supporting the project in early access (as it was for example with baldur's gate 3) and to get these bonuses now, I have to pay for the upgrade another 14.50 dollars, which in total will be 39.50 dollars against 30 dollars for buying ultimate now.
I really like the game, I bought it on both of my accounts, but now I feel a little cheated 😦

Hello, I played about a year ago. I have a speed run shaman that avalanche and maelstrom. I used to be able to auto cast maelstrom, now I have a stutter step on every cast. Did the game change cast animations? Is there anything I can do or is my build broken?
how many years was it ago, i dont think maelstrom was ever instant cast, unless used as trigger from things like warcry

Have you had a look at how trading works in detail? Your question sounds like you think that trade is completely unfettered but it has a bunch of restrictions that would make a number of those scenarios impossible.
Not true. You can simply sell a trash item for the gold amount of the service through p2p trading if you're both merchants guild (that's the only restriction , both have to be mg)

People can sell items for 1 gold, as long as they're not mg tagged there really isn't a restriction

You can only trade something that is not faction tagged.
You can only trade items that were initially dropped by an MG or factionless player and doesn't have a faction rank requirement.

No, they shouldn't. Unless the spirits to chaos bolt conversion explicitly says that they benefit from spirit nodes / the spirit nodes say they benefit chaos bolt if converted, which I don't remember seeing it say.

No since you can only convert 60%. the other 40% would still apply it.

Are there plans to increase mob density in monoliths? In other ARPGs im used to just trucking through endless hordes, but i feel like there isnt enough mob density in monoliths.
in LE you arent supposed to truck through endless hordes, if there were those you would just die from the absurd amount of projectiles, its different from other arpgs

"Edict of the Scion" (Runemaster) says you gain ward per active rune on "area skill" use. Is that exclusively going off of scaling tags listed on the skill, or is something else going on behind-the-scenes to define what does and doesn't count as an area skill?
I'm curious about this because the "Devastator" modifier on Runebolt pretty clearly adds an area component to Runebolt ("CapsuleMan Basic Explosion"), but it doesn't seem to change the scaling tags on Runebolt.
likely the tags, as none of the explosions have an area tag according to LEtools. though it definately seems like the explosions should have a tag. also a slight chance that you arent using the explosion skills, runebolt is.
Really seems like it should give Runebolt an Area scaling tag, but that's more of a suggestion than a question; and I'm mostly just curious about the "how does this work" than anything else right now 🤣

Cycle characters and their stashes will move to legacy at the end of the cycle. Until then, they're in a completely seperate environment.

It is interesting because Flurry and Detonating Arrow hit mobs is very unstable and depends on the distance. I'm sorry if the question doesn't fit the rules.

These two skills are bugged, it's known. It'll be fixed if the devs can get it fixed in time.
There is a separate ladder for each possible party size, as well as additional ladders for the challenge modes (i.e. hardcore and solo).

- No, it's shared on stash lines.
- Last we heard, they'll effectively lose access to all their gear with a faction requirement. Don't know if that's changed. Your faction ranks in the HC mode are unchanged, so future HC chars that would have shared a stash with the dead HC char still have the same rank (but no favor, since that's per-character).

The restrictions on skill respecs are explicitly to prevent doing that exact thing, so I wouldn't count on it.

What is the philosophy for skill cosmetics? Will they be restricted to only fitting the theme of the skill/class or will they be also able to be pretty loose and possibly memey? Will they override damage conversions? like could i say change my acolyte skills to all be physical where they turn red but deploy an mtx that would keep the green necrotic theme instead?
