people still epoching? ๐ฎ
EHG must earn money to run so they must attract people to play
New gameplay is learnt, time to spoiler new changes for builds ๐
just checking for pulse because i havent had the time to play for a while
waiting for the next season so i can merchants guild again ๐ ALL THESE DAMN COF BOYS
Ohhhh can't wait to play season 4 ๐ the new skeletal mage death knight changes are going to be a blast
I hope someone can tell me have burning daggers got some love in 1.4
same with shadow dagger

Cosmetics being removed everytime I play and exit the game still not fixed yet? Its getting very annoying having to equip them again and again.
Gotta see Marksman too
your saved files are corrupted, try this, it worked for me: https://www.reddit.com/r/LastEpoch/comments/1rbp5w5/cosmetics_dont_save/
alternatively you can just wait 9 days, since we know it's fixed in season 4
Thank you, got quicker help from a player than actual game support.
Colours were part of the setup for the Kickstarter roles, which makes it harder for us to assign colours for future roles.
Though I apologize that I don't entirely see this as a negative. I personally appreciate showing appreciation for those that supported us for when we were nothing more than a reddit thread with an idea. Currently, I don't have any plans to allow name colours to those other than the established roles.
I have no idea why it's a hard thing to do. Kickstarter roles and EHG roles can keep these colours but use gradiant colours. New roles can use normal colours but low saturation with icons.
Saturation can be a good difference.
Would still take away from it imo. Although I have a different colour so I guess I can't comment on it objectively
No idea which colours should use? Just pick colours which kickstarter roles are using, then down the saturation, ok it's a new colour.
The point isn't really that it would be the same colour. Currently pretty much nobody has a colour outside of ehg members, moderation, content creators and lastly early supporters. What colour someone has isn't very important, it's the fact that they have a colour at all that's supposed to signify something
CM have trouble on recognizing colours? They can ask art team for help
I don't know why they don't want to build an advanced version of colour hierarchy
The problem you mentioned can be solved by using gradient colours
I was going to post something entirely different, but after actually reading the Kickstarter page I'm confused. I don't see name colors mentioned anywhere, lol. Is that just considered an extension of the "Forum Title and Badge" or am I blind?
Custom Role Icons feel like a more logical extension of that than colors, personally.
As Cyborg mentioned, it's neither a technical limitation, nor a systematic limitation. We certainly could use more colours. Discord even allows a colour wheel. Rather, allowing assigning a colour represents a level of appreciation and distinct honor towards those who brought us to where we are today.
We use colours in discord as a form of respect for those that support us. So it doesn't feel right to give out coloured names for other reasons, as it diminishes that respect and prestiege given to those willing to put their money, or in the case of content creators, livelihood, on the line to believe in, and support us from the very beginning.
How to show respect and appreciation to players whose support EHG in a early time? Give them exclsuive colours on roles. Yes I get that, it's why I mentioned gradient colours is a good way to keep them looks special.
Normal players never will over than them on the status, I know
Simple workaround: get hired at EHG specifically for the cool Discord role color.
You're correct that we don't list giving a colour in discord as a kickstarter bonus. We could very well assign addition colours as we did with the beesfriends to show moderator status and not touch upon any promise.
However, even as we have to change policies to continue creating the next iteration of LE, we still want to preserve what kickstarter support and appreciation that we can. Discord colours may seem like an extremely insignificant part of that, but it's something that we continue to have to hold onto, and provide. And i'll let go of kickstarter appreciation as quickly as I'll let go of my own blood, haha.
everyone excited to play forge boy again? :3
EHG think they can't change current colour hierarchy because it will lose the honour and the appreciation for early supporters.
I think EHG still can do that but in a different way.
No idea how to go on.
I know two team members that have already bookmarked Forgeguard as their starting build for Season 4
I'm leaning towards Void Knight or Paladin, depending on what certain bug fixes end up happening (or not happening).
I won't even hide it. We recently featured a FG minion build, and that thing, even SSF is straight up broken, and not getting nerfed, haha.
SHHH KAIN FFS
What are you playing? Paladin?
Or are we spreading our wings
I'm going to be rocking the bees. Y'all don't even know yet.
Haha, I apologize, that is not my intent
its my go to because i hit that merchants guild every season >_>
honestly, wish trade just became a normal thing because when the population dwindles there's like 6 of us that trade only
guys, got a new cat bed for that demon in my pfp, she's chillin in it under the desk right now. super cute.
I'm hoping for some CoF buffs TBH, or at least minor QoL adjustments. I really don't vibe with trading, like.. at all. ๐
CoF dominates the player base unfortunately.
We'll have a post regarding QoL adjustments in Hype Week ๐
CoF superiority
yep cof ftw
Agreed
We gotta balance out muffins MG energy
No MG love ๐
i'll let the trade andys figure out the market while I get triple the loot
Tbf at the end of the day they'll likely have the better gear, but I'll have my sanity lul
I just stack my tokens and flex in the mirror, because there's no one else to flex the favor on
does this mean bees build buffs? ๐
MG for life ๐
Oh man, so much I want to say. But I'll stop at I successfully killed Ubberoth with nothing but bees.
Me and bankai were stinging him like crazy fr
this will be the first season I have the time to push all through endgame. ;-; finally about to finish my degree
i wish the updated the bee gloves, to on hit instead of melee hit, spriggan form can't melee hit D:
then im gonna hound EHG to see if they need graphic designers lmao
In my own personal opinion as an 8k+ hour player, not as an EHG player, this is the season of Unique item reworks, and bees, based on what I want to build.
UI/UX emphasis
I don't think we're specifically looking for a UI designer at the moment, but we're always open to talent: https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/eleventhhourgames
That said in relation, we'lll also have a senior UI designer as a guest for questions on this friday's dev stream.
is this real life?
nice wooooo, so many uniques have awesome effects but lackluster, can't wait to see all of them
real question, is there any plans for modding in the future? outside of filters, there's not a single ARPG with moddable UIs
potential mouse skins maybe ๐
i spent 800k cof favor this ss to farm for 2 7 bees idols, but the build can only do normal abby ๐ฅฒ
I won't say ubberoth was a particularly fast kill with my build, but it happened, and I don't underestimate the community. You all collectively are far, far smarter than I. I'm excited to see what you all come up with regarding bees, and the unique item changes in general.
This is a bee kill with 1.4 changes? or in 1.3
1.4 - Season 4
Damn, you've been beesy
bye mage, bye rogue, imma start with druid
I wish I could speak. One more week ๐ฅน
sword and board forgeguard for the aesthetic
took me 8 years but here we are! no longer a meme ๐ฎ

infect the game with bees
Same, I need to keep my secrets to myself in case there are nerfs ๐
more bee love everywhere
you got minion lover right, but mg bant!
we play MG as a handicap to flex on the poors
I want to preface everything regarding builds I play: I played a pacifist charcter before thorns got all sorts of unique items, and had a 2.5 hour lagon (campaign) kill. I'm willing to put in the mechanical endurance to make a meme happen.
"handicap", meanwhile you can buy 2LP RRs in MG xd
:^)
Reminds me of the legendary Lagon kill Mike once had on a primalist
my take has always been MG > CoF (but thats just me) - less loot sure but a lot more of what drops can impact my build by selling it and buying what I need ๐
Was like half the stream lmao
kain a real one like coffee and misha rofl god gamers
meanwhile i'm happy just farming normal abby :d
MG is about community. If i wanted loot explosions id play di--- ugh,, diablo 4
Okay I checked and it was only 13 minutes
๐คข
But gah damn did it feel like forever at the time x)
Haha, for the lagon kill, I was watching an tv series while my character just stood there on the second monitor.
Yea MG is definitely "better" if played optimally, but "optimally" means you really need to fully utilize your loot filter for high value items which a lot of people don't do
my background is game econ - its in my blood after 13yrs (and counting) working on a WoW Auctino House addon
lol
skill issue
wow you were playing one of "those" kind of builds.
MG is more powerful, CoF is more fun, from my extremely biased perspective.
Imagine being slower at Lagon than clone mage ๐
https://youtu.be/d10gV6gLNwQ?is=tPcqMXO5qjqK4Dxv
psh there is communities for that - easy sauce lol
It may be biased but it's also based
lol I think MG is way more fun - but I am also biased ๐
TSM isn't "optimal", whenever anyone is just copying the same filter by definition it can't be "optimal"
its definitely better than nothing though
agree to disagree ๐
when you find a niche build that can power through things and find out the gear is extremely cheap in MG ๐
people copy strats filters or guides or even profiles from my WoW addon all the time - but that is always just Step 1
maybe we get third faction next year
That's a blast from the past, I remember mirror mage, hahaha. I still once in a while push to the team that it should be a thing. Though after runemaster we decided Mage should be a class without traditional "minions" as they're an option everywhere else.
there is alot more to making money in MG than a good loot filter
Note to self; Buy items BEFORE making build guide ๐
Honestly filtering for MG isn't all that bad. A lot of things you'd have on an ssf filter that's not for a specific build or class will sell, some just slower than others and for less but they'll still be worth selling
I mean not really, SSF filter is just your items, MG is like, mana idols, ES idols, WP idols, LB idols, etc.
the affix filters are so annoying
Well I meant it more how you'd filter back in like 0.9. you'd show any potentially useful item
did we ever get more info on that DLC class? Or is that way in the future?
Basically just show all T7's and multi exalts of affixes that could conceivably be wanted by some build
Someone somewhere is playing some weird build that needs it lol
I don't have any new information to share for Paradox classes, other than that they will be a unique experience from traditional classes.
plus with the new search filters coming to the Bazaar in 1.4 - its going to be a lot easier to sell/buy RoH targets
anyone ready to customize their loot filters like a music dj?
So whatโs everyone up to next week?
i just hope they are balanced, but would pay $5 for meme machine.
Shattering enemies
they were teased on stream ๐
QoL improvements are Thursday =p
What's today then :0
they were shown on Mike's stream weeks ago
(the bazaar stuff I mean)
what's tmrw?
Wednesday
fine, fine.
11 hours exactly right?
Not exactly
derrick was insane timing it at 8am yesterday holy
if late we riot.
Yea I agree, the exalts aren't so bad since mostly focusing on T7 / Multi T7 which is kinda not that common so you don't need to sort through that many items, but idols are all 1 tier / 1 tier with various roll values and different combos of affixes that you need to individually filter ๐
I struggle with the idol affix part for MG filters
Okay yeah idols are a massive pain true lol
Tomorrow is all about ballet.
Filter? I barely know her!
ballet? new skill confirmed got it.
Oh right the new rogue skills
ballerina new paradox class confirmed.
No, not a new skill, cutting that off at the stem, haha.
rofl
๐ฅ
not a new unnanounced skill anyways,
so.. i'm off the next 4 days then work next 4 then off next 4 starting on launch day thursaday, and I did not plan my schedule like that what so ever
but we grinding at midnight anyways
As a wise man once said "Ain't no rest for the wicked"!
sleep is for the weak
I'm a little tempted to race to 100 again
said every software engineer
not allowed if im leveling primalist and u leveling mage lol
ur just gonna level with glacier anyways zzzz
To be fair there are separated leaderboards :P
Nah I level with shatter strike who do you take me for
And even before then I sometimes just use ele nova instead of glacier. But yeah usually glacier until I get mastery
try thorn totem till mastery lol
Might do lb or something this time around, not like it really matters
50% slower
Getting to 20 takes like an hour
Actually way less
Getting to 100 takes like 20-35 hours x)
Took us a little over 30 hours when we raced
I go abom until I get exp blessing, but just hope i hit it first try.
Solo falconer is the fastest (surprising nobody)
all I know is I leveled with summon bear while I was watching youtube and then later glaring menacingly at all my enemies with my conquerers haki
Well, I think I've released enough "authorized by me-only" teasers tonight. Have a good night all! (we're still watching for moderation though, so beehave yourselves ๐ )
see you in the morning i'll be here for a bit
Kain burning the midnight oil
Good morning travelers
10h18 min to the next post
I would note that the more recent replies in this chat are suspiciously staff and moderators. Well, I'm ready for my timeout. (And mind that I am fully joking here)
Changes to skills is what I am the more interested in
We're always here, so when it gets quieter, we just stand out more, haha.
Top of the morning!
But I am scared it wont tell us more than what we know already
B hole buffs, fire Aura buffs, shadow rend and bladestorm
I stay neutral until patch notes, in that I don't go wild without a full picture. Anything prior is enticement.
tbh i think it might be spellblade season for me this time
Maybe because I'm conditioned to GGG's ways, which literally meant you cannot get excided until the full patch notes detailing all the nerfs :p
its the only major class ive never played
As the one who does patch notes: One last 'teaser' before I run away (I know, I know) that wouldn't come during hype week, so I'm free to tease. We've been taking bugs very seriously - in the patch notes, the bugfix list is two responses long.
and so if fire aura flame reave spellblade is a viable playstyle ill be happy
And that is why I keep coming back. The focus on quality.
sweet, if the gap between seasons is gonna be 6 months then id hope there's huge amounts of bugfixes and performance improvements where possible. nothing is more frustrating than running into the same bug multiple patches in a row
fingers crossed for blade paladin in vengeance finally working properly with conversions
it's been "fixed" at least twice since season 3 launched IIRC and is still mega bugged
Do we need another 32 hour stream?
We recently did a survey to gather info on bugs that have been around for multiple patches, but it's something we continue to keep an active focus on. Once the patch notes come around on Friday, if you see anything still unaddressed, please create a forum post in the bug reports to let us know. We will be looking.
X)
or whatever the heck is going on with quicksand and cycle of decay in anomaly ๐
u missed it lol
unless you scroll up!
I'm probably going to be in trouble for the teasers tonight, yes. But that's a tomorrow me problem.
I need the full skill details so I can put it in my spreadsheet PoB ๐
I got your back bro just say it was cyborg again
tomorrow me is always such a sucker.
"the bees made me do it"
eexactbee!
Kain After Dark Best Kain
We're planning many community manager streams, one of which idea is a more... aged/late-night stream. If players are interested in that kind of stream, let us know.
I might be because your night time might actually be when I'm awake here, lol
YES 100%
(By that, I mean a more relaxed, less "professional" stream for clarity)
that would defintley be a very nicew addition to le
get a beer relax and kick back after work
Ideal time window to tease on the streaming staff and coax information?
no, that's for mikes streams ๐
coaxing information espeecially!
Admittedly, us europeans may not even be awake for most EHG streaming.
Usually starts at 10 pm and ends at midnight for me
I need to start streaming again on my personal account
maybe ill do some for Season 4
I used to do it all the time back when I worked for Twitch (by proxy)
still have my green screen and everything lol
maybe ill become a Muffin VTuber
first vtuber i'd watch forever

u were the special guest LOL
lmfao yes for ep 200
thought it was the mechanic or something
I was doing all the data queries live for people
I watched and tbh muffin is still a muffin wearing a green suit, top hat, monocle, and bow tie in my mind
lol
it's too iconic
ill rotate tomorrow - ive only had this one a couple days foir St Patricks Day
I have so many muffin avatars
one for almost every holiday and tons of others
ok yeah now you are full time streamer now the curse is on u
then after mike it will be kain joining you on stream.
sick. I know someone who has a spriggan tatoo lol
also have my Epoch tattoo, and a D&D/Pride/Dice sword
and of course a
but the epoch tatto was fun
i'm too scared to get a tatoo nope!
I thought it would be way more painful - I was legit nervous
its on the top of my hand
Haha, I apologize to disappoint, but for reasons you wont ever see me on stream, sorry.
bee tuber it is! see kain, muffin is 5head i.q
lol
Tattoos, I gather are not that painful if the artist is good. But make sure to never regret the tattoo, for removing them is... let's not mention the pain levels. And mind that I have no tattoos, I just heard some stories.
yeah Ive been told its like having hot oil on you for about 15 minutes
All these new runes just simply tells me it's going to be COF meta again
Well, MG may as well not even exist, since player-driven markets suffer from the player factor. There's always someone who keeps looking for exploits, finds them, makes them public and then a bunch of the users of the system adopt it and the whole market aspect of the thing collapses.
It was fine last season tbf
Well, if EHG managed to actually regulate the thing enough that it's not explotable, well... My repsect.
...yeeeeeaaaaaah, no thanks, not touching gear corruption. Ever.
Those attribute conversions are just insanity.
high risk higher rewards ! ๐คซ
Why not, craft a 777 of your dreams and then ruin it with one rune, what can go wrong?
As if I hadn't enough of that tish way back in Path of Excel...
If the slamming process was straightforward w/o RNG and just needed an exalt then okay, I can corrupt the gear, otherwise no sorry
I still have zero hype about the patch, but damn, is it letting me down huge mukin time already.
+1
My friend just told me sword catcher is apparently getting nerfed, pure cinema
Streamline affixes so that there's less bloat? Flatline gear RNG so that there's actually more incentive to craft and experiment? Freaking fix/rework skills so that they actually make sense? HECK NAH, LET'S GO GAMBLIN'!
Idk, I feel li'e corrupting might be fun
But we don't farm the same type of gear
I can't...
I am going to have a lot of 1lp t7
2lp and beyond no way
See, that's why I said we don't farm the same gear
๐
I can't be arsed to farm 2lp t7 or more
But 1lp t7 and gamba
Count me in
I'm sorry, no offense to you but if the game is being targeted at single t7 users and no one else then say goodbye to player retention
tbh the scenario I'm imagining using rune of corruption is basically one where, I have a lot of similar copies of an item already
rune of corruption gives me a new option to potentially turn those items into upgrades, outside of the classic farsight turtle / nemesis / julra loop
Did I say the game was aimed at player like me?
At this point I don't even understand whom the game is targeting anymore.
Eh. This seems like an odd observation to make.
Like who's the actual demographic.
Did I say it is?
It's not making any sense anymore.
I just said IF
Me. I'm the target demographic
Among other things, parry is STILL as freaking obsolete as it can ever be.
Yes, only you๐
What's even the point of it being there to begin with, I wonder.
Parry? Memes
Also, not sure I agree
I think there's plenty going for it that allows 1-3 week casual players and also 2-3 month hardcore players. Especially when considering more than one character.
What if you felt good with your 1lp gear corrupted and wanted to make another character
And another
That's what keeps me playing throughout a season
Depends on how many people share your approach
I wasn't there for season 3 for irl reasons but season 2 I sunk well over 300h in
Season 4 seems to add more endgame content to it such as that pinnacle boss and also an extra layer of item improvements, and a cute way to improve your idols and the board.
Like, I see myself play for another 300h np...
-
I could return you the argument
How many people share your approach of going for 4xt7 imprint troves spam for the whole season?
From my anecdotal evidence of me being in a few discord, I could probably name you as much 1lp enjoyers builds spamming people as 4xt7 troves spamming ones -
We are amongst the last players of the season, but with different method
Then all i can have is envy that those people still find fun in something like that
Because I naturally seek gear progression
Single t7s are like a few days of work
And me from a few discords as well haven't found a single person that enjoyed farming up to single t7 and rerolling
I mean, as per muffin 2 days ago only 6.7% of players have killed normal aberroth (and <1% for uber).. a decent number of people are probably rerolling or quitting the season entirely before they even reach 1x t7 in every slot based on that lol
Also those 4x7 farmers don't only farm those items for themselves, we share those with each other so we can show people who allegedly think that single t7 is enough that you can go above and beyond that
You found me ๐๐
Call yourself #1 then
I'd like to see then how many of those rerolling-all-the-time people play till the end of the season
Cuz all i see is the same people on global and they are all dedicated people or people who we are about to enlighten with possibilities
I'm curious to see what experimental builds I can get away with season 4. I gave up trying to push past 150 corruption on so many builds just because the damage fell off hard and fast. I ended up giving in and made a reflect Druid just to do ridiculous crap like fighting Abberoth
Of course I'm taking this fact into account that not many people talk on global but still you get the point
Exactly, how many builds can you try rolling with single t7s? The list isn't that long
Unless you go 100 corruption and call it a day
It's kinda insane how it seems to bother you that someone might enjoy the game in a different way
Did I say it bothers me? I just don't want to be the victim of stupid nerfs
Stop implying that I don't like the fact someone likes playing the game in a different way
@frank bramble It's really not. I love how versatile and creative you can be in LE, but let's not kid ourselves that many builds can even hit 200 corruption. I have to check the leaderboards most of the time to get a good idea of what I have to copy to push further versus homebrew.
I want everyone to enjoy LE as much as possible so it grows
I've gotta disagree with that statement TBH, I'm reasonably confident that a LOT more builds than you think can reach 300-500 corruption, even with 1x t7 gear as the limit
But if we focus on one group of players only and punish those who are trying harder for their builds to be good then good luck
I don't even think the game is easy, I just think the difficulty spikes happen too early
Just this season I did what? 5-8 builds ,and even managed to kill Uber
Pretty much every skill in the game can do 500c with 1lp slammed gear
We will see about that in 1.4
like the number of builds Dr3ad pushed zero-to-hero and killed aberroth in 12 hours or less is insane
Playing Reflect Druid and copying whatever was top of the leaderboard opened my eyes to how much content I was missing in the end game versus all the homebrews
(Yes I'm aware there exists some meme skills that can't)
and he plays completely random nonsense trash builds for that frequently
You want to "enlighten" people
But if you don't say something troll like teleport I feel like there's a 90%+ chance it can do 500c if not 1000c with mostly 1lp slams (maybe 2lp if the lpl is low)
Show them your ways are better
No, enlighten as in showing that they can do something they might think is not possible
I genuinely should make a list of all the builds I've made videos of and how many actually made it past just 150 corruption
most of the time, in my experience at least, the problem isn't that "random homebrew build #2358" can't do 500 corruption or whatever
it's that the player doing the homebrewing is just winging it and playing based on vibes, not math
Yep
I play with 2 very good friends of mine and they are 100% vibe gamers that would struggle hard to get past like, 300c without math help
It's harder to stumble on to a decent build on a non meta skill
Check the definition of a word enlighten if you may
has nothing to do with the skills or classes being undertuned, it's just a difference in how you approach the game
There are multiple
Seems like even with all maxed resists, a couple thousand armor, and decent healing and separate DR isn't enough for a lot of builds. Any build with a shield I tend to be able to push a bit further
But you ofc assumed mine has to be making others' choices inferior so it fits your theory
It seems that I misread your intentions, and I am sorry
I agree, I've had to learn over the years how to approach homebrewing to account for how to keep defenses and offenses up, but sometimes it just doesn't work out ๐ฅฒ
Tbh capped resistances and some armour is bare minimum for empowered in general yeah. You do usually need a fairly hefty extra layer
Or just tons of damage / range
Yeah, empowered is the bane of my existence ๐คฃ
It's fine. You'll improve the more you play until one day you look back and see how far you've come. I remember my first build was abysmal lmao
No problem, just don't judge too fast, I'm open to debate but I think I never said someone's stance is worse than mine, it's just imo people might just be thinking that they cannot progress beyond a certain level and that's what I meant
It's actually the same skill I play today, but instead of barely doing maybe 200 corruption or something I can do well over 1000 corruption and even beat Uber Abby with it
And while some of it is attributable to power creep I was doing 1k corruption even back in 0.9
Okay so looking at my list of build videos. Erasing Strike, Flame Reave, Melee Lich, Avalanche Shaman, and Valor Falconer all made it past 150 corruption
Soul Feast Warlock, Poison Multi shot, Nova Runemaster, Glacier Mage, and Poison Druid did not.
You'd think I'd learn after 1,000 hours
There's a few other builds here and there and countless more I didn't make videos of, but the split generally seems to be 50/50
Honestly playing and learning in an arpg can be very different activities
I've easily spent more time reading, learning and theory crafting LE than actually playing it
the easiest way to avoid the flop builds is just to do the math beforehand, at least for me
if I see a build I'm interested in caps out at 1/10th the damage I'm hoping for even with perfect gear, I know that's probably not going to be a fun time
Actually maybe not double, but close
I'm under the impression I should be able to experiment more given the new toys and tools we're getting
I guess it depends what you'd count, are we learning about LE right now? :P
I learned not to ignore armor, probably the first defensive thing I learned after seeing my characters getting obliterated at max resistances lol
But like for example I fairly recently learned that warpath is made up of two skills, and the way it functions behind the scenes is actually really different from pretty much every other skill in the game
The armor thing was like 400 hours ago lol
To be fair depending on your build you kinda can ignore armour
But for most yeah it's likely not a good idea
I actually have a build planned where I'm essentially ignoring health (it's not a ward build btw) lol
because it gets tons of endurance threshold, and block effectiveness ends up being WAY better for scaling EHP
I've made a build that's pretty much as close to immortal as you can reasonably get up to around 500 corruption or so, the clear is fairly ass though lul
casually walking around with ~2.4K health and 50K+ EHP
But you can pull an entire echo, harbingers, exiled mages and all and stand still tanking all the echoes mobs combined
But the build I usually play can almost get one shot by a white maggot at the corruption I play x)
I hate playing squishy builds
I guess it's just been frustrating to learn after spending this much time across pre-season and 3 seasons and still not having the skills to push any given skill to 200+ corruption like many others have told me, like yourself Cyborgwars and Lothrik
learned that at release when I played a falconer and was totally reliant on silver shrouds
Rogue defenses suck. Idc what anyone says. Those rogue teasers were a godsend
This is an old clip but I'm pretty much just as squishy nowadays
or whenever falconer was added, I forget
Falconer was 1.0 iirc
Yep
found the clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5cI_5qvuL2s
video is a bit washed out, I think I had HDR enabled or something
Yea classic
Think it's still the most prominent mid season fix they've done
(it was bugged)
Skills I'd like to push this season is probably Hungering Souls, Meteor, Shadow Cascade, Shield Throw, and Werebear.
stopped playing at level 92 because I just couldn't deal with it lol
dying on bosses and needing sunglasses to play
Understandable
That's so diverse lol. I pretty much only play mage and majority of my time is on a single build
"just dodge the mechanic" -> what mechanic I can't see everything is white
I'm an altaholic
I suppose that does screw me in some ways because it means pushing corruption is harder for me since I'm not always farming top gear even for alts, since I have to spend time leveling the others
Why not set a goal for the build like killing aberroth or reaching a certain corruption or something before switching?
I made about 15-20 characters each in season 0, 1, and 2. Only made about 8 in S3. Planning on doing 5-10 in S4...
Heh Ive made 4 characters since 1.0 on retail
I did that basically in S3 with Reflect Druid
It did help a bit since I could pass down Harbinger gear and what not
Which I couldn't do barely at all in the previous seasons when I didn't netbuild
The skill system in this game is crack. I just can't help but want to try to build in every direction in every skill tree. Like when I tried and got disappointed by Poison Multishot ๐ ๐ญ
DoT in general feels like its in a weak spot right now
Every time I have tried poison damage for a build that supports it I have been disappointed. I can't even say it's a skill issue because it literally pushes worse than all my other dozens of experiments
giving my second monitor the side eye with two DoT builds open right now
Tell me your secrets
time rot shield throw void knight (currently strong build) and vengeance ignite paladin (fire resistance stacking, fingers crossed blade paladin actually works as intended in season 4)
Both sound fantastic honestly. Time Rot is probably best DoT in the game. Ignite seems to work if you have something nuts like that fire res passive available
What we really need is a car transformation in the game
So I can blast eurobeat while playing
we need romance options tho
shield rush ferrari microtransaction
for poison specifically I think it's just in a bad place
there might be something decent on warlock or whatever with poison overload
People would want to romance Julra
The base DoT dmg for poison needs to be higher, straight up
The negative poison res it gives just doesn't feel like it does enough against mobs
Even after stacking as much +dot damage, +poison damage gear as possible
What's the girl's name from the Keepers camp in the beginning of the game??
Yeah, I remember when I stacked like 1000 poison stacks as a warlock
and it still didn't feel like the dmg was good enough
in season 3 ailment builds tend to lag behind non-ailment builds, outside of a few heavily-optimized scenarios where they start to compete; at least in my experience
hopefully that changes in season 4
Yeena
oh wait no that was the poe npc
I think there were a couple blade master poison/bleed teases and I thought to myself, "well yeah if the base damage of the ailment isn't ass"
Lena i think
Well both end in na so close enough
have to go & check though
it's Leena but close enough ๐
Leena, yeah
She's also no longer in the camp
do you think Leena is the oracle in the rising lake?
be the change you want to see in the world (literally, you're the only one with a time travel device)
||I still believe Balthus eventually becomes the Immortal Emperor believing he'll be a better deterrent of the void than the four gods|| @willow sentinel
she did regconized me when we talked and mention about that time travel event with Balthas
I'll give the lore writers this, time travel shenanigans can be fun when you introduce the same character but changed and with a different name. Like how Kang the Conquerer in Marvel is also King Tut, Nathaniel Richards, Victor Timely, etc.
mmm those notes in last refuge in ruin era says Balthas was the first elder and he passed down the info about a traveler with an epoch shard will come, i think he died long ago...
Yes, but those notes are in the void era which is the last before end of time, he could have written those beforehand or just leaving out his plans. He mentions he be finally able to do something with the Epoch before we get sent to chapter 2 and the void for the first time.
Not to mention of the three pieces at that point, one is in the possession of the voided out emperor ๐คจ
wait nice catch, the void emperor that we fought in Eterra temple? :0
Yes, who says a bunch of things about regret and Eterra when we enter
By the time we face him and his lieutenants in the Immortal Era, he still thinks turning everyone into immortal undead will stop the void and learns the hard way later obv
but isn't Balthas's shard remained in the last refuge?
Does that imply he never traveled?
We get yeeted to the ruined era with 2 fragments.
yeah 1 we collect at first, and 1 in the settlement
iirc one fragment is a free bingo space as soon as we hit Ch. 2, one is with the voided emperor, and I don't remember the last one, been a hot minute
no?
Possible used the shard to at least jump to a spot or two in time with what power the shard had left to enact his find out how to make everyone skeletons plan
Chapter 1 is about securing that one shard in the sanctum during the divine era, right? Balthas uses THAT shard to yeet himself and us to the ruined era.
Bleh, memory too hazy for this discussion, disregard me.
i remember reading about it somewhere, in Divine era, the 3 shards locations are, 1 in eterra temple, 1 in the keeper vault and 1 in keeper's hand always on the move
yeah we always have 1 shard from the keepers, then we retrived 1 more shard from the vault, with 2 Balthas can time travel partly, which dropped us randomly at ruined era
Makes sense now. So yeah, we get yeeted by 2 fragments and nab the 3rd off of the void emperor at the end of chapter 3.
I think so, voided emperor has the last one, that's the basis of Chapter 3
Beaten
Either way ||Balthus is the Emperor||
Always confused me when we pick up something when getting into that part of the story. We get yeeted by 2 and find 1 on the ground, no?
yeah i was confused when i saw the void emperor in the temple, in early version of the game, it's not the emperor that we fought
"I am sorry Leena, and I am sorry to you too... Now with the Epoch, I'll finally be able to-"
Well, of course. I ALWAYS forget about panion...
And how he's the boss with the 2nd fragment
Ah bingo!
Yeah now I remember, that allows us to get to End of Time for the first time
1 with us, 1 with Elder Pannion, and 1 with Voided Emperor
no, we picked up 1, 1 is in the last refuge, shining in the middle of the town, then an elder Panion took it to fight the void, we killed corrupted version of him and retrived the 2nd shard, with 2 shards, we travelled to the end of time era...
So early in the story that we get carried away by the rest of the story, eh?
If the lore writers were reading our conversation they'd be geeking out there are people who care about the lore a bit like me for LE
Look, paying proper attention is for regular people, mkay?
The latest chapters imply we might be the bad guy because all of this happens because of us messing with time, therefore a paradox
Have the patch notes been released?
I tried to care, but I am clinically understimulative ADHD. I literally get micro-bored during an interesting discussion...
Friday
Nope, few more days I believe
partly, full patch in Mar 20th
Thanks!
Seems like Eterra and her brother may have been part of a previous universe and were given or born with the power to jump into the "next" universe and create the world and all that. Orobyss thinks his sister keeps screwing up and it's imperfect and wants to try again
Act 10 expanded upon that
They are part of another race of beings that are in stasis in Eterras temple
mmm isn't it because of orobyss influence? he said no matter what we choose, we'll always end up with him
Eterra created the gods of the Divine area.
Orobyss is the Observer, which we get to see at the very end of Act 10.
yeah
And just how his future self gets back to his "ancient era" self.
It might be a bit of a paradox in itself, because we have to fight him to stop him from wiping stuff
He cannot be killed, Eterra sacrifices herself to imprison him to give you time.
I think there's a prime Orobyss who keeps corrupting his past selves in different timelines
By sending us
Apophis was the carrier of future orobyss's will.
Or she doesn't want to kill him
nah he's sending Apophis to show the Observer the ruined future to start the corruption
Sure, but nothing outside of a god can kill orobyss is what is implied.
And by proxy, us
Well, that is the most literal way of putting it, sure :p
EHG has said the Orobyss expansion will wrap up the story. Or rather everything tied to Orobyss
Whether future orobyss is malicious or just trying to warn his ancient self, well.. got lost in the translation.
yeah
yeah 2 more chapters to wrap things up, can't wait to see how things unfold
Probably just a loop that got started by the first one, he saw imperfections, turned to then void to use it to wipe out timelines, wants to let his past selves know about how ugly the world is to him, and the cycle starts. And we help the cycle continue without our full knowledge because we haven't walked the walk yet.
Brings the question of what is the void in this universe, really. I can also call upon the Divinity series which, though its own story and means, explores a similar thing: What makes a god an actual god in a universe where magic is real and powerful.
And how that can be corrupted.
My guess is we'll probably go back to End of Time and speak with Forgotten Knight and Gaspar about options
For the next chapter
I ain't guessing nothing, because making this kind of a story cohesive is well beyond my capabilities :p
Technically the loop is complete now that Apophis and us have corrupted the Observer of our current universe/timeline. The question is how to prevent everything in chapters 1-9 from happening? Do we go back to when Orobyss corrupts Rahyeh? That seems to be the first instance, because nothing happens really in Ancient Era with void besides caging the Observer
i guess it will have something to do with Apophis, like when did Orobyss reach out to her, we travel there to prevent it or something
Paradoxical shenanigans everywhere
Well, Apophis calls you traveller and is unsurprised about your presence at the end of Act 9.
Kinda implies she knows you.
she was informed by Orobyss
Because Apophis was warned by Orobyss
Albeit, seems like prime Orobyss wanted you to find Apophis so Chapter 10 could happen
He wants her to stop us before we can reach to the temple in ancient era
she said "it would have been nice if we died with Majasa"
I like to think the universe we are in is being observed by a prime Orobyss from outside it, that is seeing the broader loops happening
Right, ok. So, Apophis was informed and set on a path, while you follow this path that connects with hers predictably, because of course orobyss knows the past.
mmm i think Orobyss is from one of the timeline, and he wants to overwhelm all other timelines
This is a weird one, since the Observer had been resetting timelines for Eterra before we even met him.
"There's always a bigger fish"
I mean when we meet the Observer, "our" Orobyss is still operating, hence the paradox
We have no "Ancient era" timeline as a whole. So far, we can infer that anything after that event where we and Apophis reach the Observer is dynamic.
True, there is a ton of blank space between Ancient Era and Divine Era.
We also had very little of Ancient era itself. We only have our interference at the end of the temple of eterra. (i.e. it crashing from the sky)
We are still not 100% sure when and why Orobyss decided to corrupt Rahyeh
huh? Rayeah was not corrupted
yeah
Rayeh got overly ambitious.
Oh that's right, I forgot his reason for starting the war is to grab the Epoch
As was his nature which could permit it.
I've fought Black Sun so many times I forgot that's not ours ๐
all monoliths are alternative timelines
By the by, abby ties the story together, funnily enough. His few lines are key points that never change:
Eterra always "leaves" the timeline. The Gods always fight eachother. Humans go on to form the immortal empire and the void wins at the end.
Yup, Abberoth feels like something that would take place sometime after Chapter 9-10
We are still 2 chapters away from the conclusion of the orobyss story.
Rather, 2 more chapters are planned and the end of it will be the conclusion of this story.
That prime Orobyss fight better be lit ๐ฅ
man fighting uber abby is tough enough, now we have to fight his boss ๐ฅฒ
If we kill Orobyss and the void, my guess is the next major plot will involve the race in stasis that suffered the "calamity" that Eterra mentioned she and her brother survived along with the stasis folks
By that point, maybe gear power creep changes things?
Campaign boss, should be a cake walk by comparison
Or, and hear me out, we beat campaign orobyss with help and then face orobyss... prime? in the monolith on his own terms?
normal Abby at 300c so i guess normal Orobyss is at 500c?
yeah where is the lance? is it still with us?
I think what's his face has it
we do have it when we killed Majasa
Yes, we should still have it.
right
It's never been said explicitly about what happened to it after Majasa, so it's safe to say that it's still there with us.
It being a big lance, I have to ask... who's holding it for us? :p
Zerrick
so i wonder what killed Rahyeh, coz he can only be killed with the lance right?
We got the lance for the immortal emperor. (i.e. murder him)
Took me way too long to figure out the two guys you fight at the same time in Immortal Era at the emperor throne is the ship captain that takes you to Lagons island and Zerrick the guy who helps you with Majasa ๐ญ
A million dollar question, considering a whole ahh armory we carry with us like constantly. :3
We were taking it with us (us being player, yulia and whatshisface)
Then we got to the palace, we get in by ourselves and face apophis get taken to ancient era.
If the lance was not with us during the majasa fight, it was with our companions.
Considering how messed up the Immortal and Ruined Eras are, anything could've killed Rahyeh at that point, could've been us but we haven't had that chapter yet I guess, or it might not be necessarily with our involvement
no the lance was there when we killed Majasa, we got her blessing, which is her blood
Fair enough. Then I guess the pocket dimension pocket is the answer, as ShadowDweller pointed out.
Yulia is probably holding onto it, but not long enough to become an undead
one will need the lance to kill him, that will answer for what happened to the lance
The lance itself... was it even a regular sized, but special lance, or was it... even physical? Is it like a laser pointer?
it's a physical lance, you could see it pierced Moditas back then ๐
Looked a bit like ice to me.
It's a physical lance that stopped Morditas. Which btw will be a Season 5 theme...
Seems like LEs version of Wrath of the Lich King will happen in S5
But I'll take your word for it, it was a full-sized lance then. Pocket dimension pocket it is.
Do we know if S4 will have Chapter 11?
no
Bummer
Rayeh, well... rayeh only kills one of the gods, we kill Majasa, but there's still good old Lagon left behind. once we leave the era again.
Both of them die in due time, if we consider the abby line.
Lagon just doesn't seem to give a crap and is full of himself,
Just how? no clue.
Oh they all do, it's implied the Emperor killed at least one of them iirc and then he gets voided and his era ends too
eh you didn't listen to his dialogs, did ya xD
It all leads to the void
The gods tore our world apart, they deserved their fate?
I'm still not sure why Majasa is the only one that needs people to sacrifice to stay alive, where the other three seem to just be normally immortal
no the ones during campaign
Ever watched Tangled?
Same deal essentially.
he didn't care about Rahyeh killed Heorot, he said Majasa is next and laughed hehehe
Eterra and Heorot seem to be the only "good" gods
Lagon is full of his betentacled self because he's sure that all the water he dwells in will prove to be a challenge for Rahyeh to evaporate.
eh did you talk to Apophis after the ancient era?
No I had the dialogue bug that skipped everything except the final line
try again and she will explain
I think they fixed that but haven't replayed Chapter 10 ||because I don't care about the all attributes all that much||
Eterra's lines in ACT 10 imply that the 4 gods are kind of aspects of a whole.
yeah they represent something
Yeah during the statue fight?
Chapter 10 really left more questions than answers
EHG really pushing LE to be a typical live-service game, huh...
What with withholding the remaining story chapters and all...
I mean they left the door open enough to go in other directions after Orobyss is finished so no worries imo
Filler patch after filler patch after filler patch. Sigh.
Onee second... where is abberoth in campaign?
Not
Or, atteroth
If anything time travel stories are hard to get right and they want to take their time with campaign stuff. I remember people being pretty impressed with Chapter 10 on release, especially visually
So, the whole nemmy mechanic, yes?
yeah
Abberoth is implied to look like the Observer but just purple, larger, and with spooky tentacles and stuff
We may meet him and his sister pre-end of time in future story chapters but atm they don't exist in the campaign
Er
Ok, but you (Coffin) said abby makes some statements during the campaign?
You're getting mixed up lol
I know he is the Observer cook lol
He narrates a good chunk of it if not all
No that's orobyss
Oh yeah no Abberoth completely different dude
i meant during the normal abby questline xD
I am now confused
I do get Abberoth and Orobyss mixed up occasionally. Nomenclature is hard
no lol, this is for the Lagon
Pretty sure it comes with LEO
confusion full circle, yeah.
Orobyss is the character narrating through and appearing in campaign. Abberoth is atm a purely endgame presence
All the lore you get about Abberoth is basically just from the Harbingers, Abberoth himself, and his sister the Forgotten Knight (who has a name that I forgot, ironic)
Well it was rather that I was mentioning that 2 of the gods die without our direct intervention. But we KNOW they died because abbertoth implies as much during his fight.
Her name is Jenifer or somwthing
Now that I think about it, killing Abberoth is probably one of the most impactful things we've done that likely isn't a part of the cycle which makes sense since it's not tied to the campaign
I don't think we're done with fighting gods in the campaign just yet...
All the timelines have a select few constants and abberoth only appears post-campaign. So far, means he's a unique entity that may have existed in one timeline or something that ended up becoming the first harbinger of orobyss.
For all we know, we could be abby :p
Right and since we're "outside" of time, there are likely no other Abberoths
The 2 planned chapters are not out yet, so anything (almost literally) could be the case.
Oh and before I forget The Weaver has a hand in all this, but we quite don't know what yet
talk about the weaver
Eterra and the Observer are lesser gods, as per act 10 impications.
So, yeah... who the heck knows what higher gods there can be?
iirc Masque believes she is the one who helped get the cycle into place and she absorbs lost time from other timelines to help facilitate the prime timeline. Don't quote me though I didn't pay attention to the Weaver lore nearly as much. Chaos and all that
Well we still gotta grab heorot's lance from grael after he or more likely us and him kill rayeh
Thank you, Grael is whatshisface
We just went through it earlier: the lance is in our pocket dimension pocket.
It isn't, we gave it to grael
We had it fighting majasa, no?
no?
We were alone in the temple, as it were.
Made the same mistake earlier, you have my written, uh... comiseration?
Isn't there a cutscene with Grael holding the lance?
But what we do need is rayeh's blessing on it
When we first get it
Or w/e it's called
isn't it after we retrieved the lance and started our adventure?
So he just hands it back to us?
Beats me, we know we have it for the blessing of lagon and majasa parts.
It's go to Morditas, kill big tree guy, get the lance, Grael holding lance in cutscene before going to the docks
Unless wireless blessings work in this universe?
See this is why I was confused a bit about the lance talk because I swore we gave it to Grael
nah Lagon smeared his blood on the lance
Techically blessings are generally wireless, so I am at a loss as to when touching an object to bless it became a thing...
Wheres our loremaster title people at?
Yes, we need education.
Theres like 50 of you out there!
they're busy hunting lore
Maybe a flowchart to go with it.
few more days for patch ๐ฎ

Ahh I remember now
Hey I'll just say I really didn't care about the story for a long time, but after playing the campaign a billion times making alts I paid attention and it's a nice Chrono Trigger homage
oh it's Toast the lore master
Most likely its blood should do the trick ๐
Worked once before
Majasa "blessing"
It's funny we really haven't resolved the whole lance into the emperor deal
6 years later yep!
I'm also really curious if they will take the "we were the bad guys all along angle" and we're trying to atone
Who the emperor is? Is the billion dollar question
i'm not the bad guy D:
B a l t h u s
Balthas? Isn't that the old guy?
Yeah, we had a big discussion about it earlier been my theory for a long time
He goes from divine era straight to Void era and die there
Danz has a theory, he explained it earlier
No way he is the emperor
i said the same
Can't say I payed full and proper attention myself, but void emperor is emperor from immortal timeline, no?
the one you fought in eterra temple
right, yes.
Thats the immortal emperor corrupted, or what's left of him
but why was he here with a shard
I still miss omen of silence ๐ญ
Right, we were talking about the fragments of the epoch and how he holds one and how the fragments were meant to be distributed.
How we get the full epoch from balthas being brave and yeeting us to ruined, we pick up one shard, the 2nd is panion and the 3rd is emperor remains
Balthas yeeted us with 2, so how come 1 of them is on the emperor remains?
For some reason I can't quote myself from earlier in the channel but my theory goes like this:
Balthas says he finally has the Epoch at the end of ch1 and wants to do something with it. When he apologizes in advance to Leena and us, the Epoch gets shattered into three pieces as we get thrown to the void for the first time and then we have one for free, the other with Pannion, and the final with the Emperor's Remains. The Emperor is Balthus who wanted to turn humanity immortal therefore undead, to help stop the void, or so he believed. By the time we reach the Emperor's Remains he shows regret for what he has done and asks Eterra for forgiveness. Might even be the same VA
The panion one makes sense, since it was the one from the shelter
You can, but discord does not automatically let you reply to yourself, it's in the more options.
same VA does not imply same character, mind.
There are lore bits where balthas explain (as a human voice) he arrived "before" when everything was already getting corrupted
And he help mankind survive the corruption
That one can get... odd... Corruption starts during the divine era with Apophis, no?
Could be he has enough juice in the Epoch piece to go to void era and then back, he does want to help humanity after all
Or he was yeeted to someplace else in time.
I can't think of any other already named characters the Emperor could be
It's the one that lines up the most and the time travel shenanigans definitely leave the door open for it
Yes, and it kind of adds up. I never paid any real attention to the imperial emperor, if he really wants to prevent the void, though.
This all started for me because of that final line in chapter one
"I'm sorry Leena, and I'm sorry to you too. With the Epoch, I'll finally be able to-"
To be fair, it's only the most stragithforward explanation for emperor's remains having a shard.
There could me more to it, but hey...
There is always the option that balthas ran into emperor somewhere before us, died and his shard remained with the emperor / emperor's remains
True, and it could've been random as well, just a bit of a boring answer, since we're not sure how Pannion got his, but him having one seems far less consequential
Coffin already mentioned: the shelter
Oh right
I think it's even stuck above the waypoint
Until panion grabs it
But hey, change blindness...
This just makes me hope they clean up the campaign after they finally finish it. Just polishing it further and making some lore inconsistencies clearer and tying stuff up. Time travel stories are never truly easy
Now, I can't call them inconsistencies, really. There's a lot and my one brain can't handle it all.
They may just be missing fragments of a whole story. Which is still due.
I'd argue that when the full story is actually delivered, that is when we can start talking about plot holes and inconsistencies, really.
Makes me wonder what lore bits are gonna be added with Shattered Omens, especially since it's adding more Weaver stuff. Rift Beasts were just "Monster that can time travel!!"
Heck, "story so far" is too much for me at any one time. And there's more than just LE's lore on my mind at present. At any given point, really, but hey?
I am very mechanically oriented and I know the story has to make sense in relation to the mechanics. That brings 2 approaches: The lore demanded it, or the lore was written to incorporate it.
Mind that mechanic is a generic term, so you can have a sort of cause and effect chain where the lore demands a mechanic that requires another mechanic to make sense, but that other mechanic needs lore to support it.
Games are way more complex than just a story.
I've gotta hop off for now, best lore conversation I've had in quite a while lads ๐
Take care!
I remember something about that, but 1.1 I was still way more focused on learning the game mechanics through a build than taking in the sights and shapes of maps and whatnot. Didn't engage on the basis of how easily distractable I always am.
what was the update for today?
In game update?
What's the point getting transmogs if they are removed when changing zone or logout?, scam!
It's a bug
This should fix it
The most recent update was the new packs in the shop
Iโm betting g todayโs update will be the new skills
We know a few bits for Spellblade
Fire Aura buffs (big ones)
New class passive > gain 40% of the flat Melee on your weapon as Flat Spell
For a bit there, I forgot fire aura is mostly used by spellblade, but it is a skill that can exist outside of spellblade. I think fire shield notoriously links to it.
It's a Spell that uses 1/3 of the Spellblade passive tree
And somehow is better on Runemaster
Might be better after the patch
hopefully
Tbh I can't remember the dmg numbers of fire aura
and here i was committing to doing a necro igniter build. now im thinking spell blade
did they post patch notes somewhere i can look up and calculate my decisions? hahaha
Nobody can
Friday is patch note day
Because they weren't here
Yeah that's fair
ah ok, why is hype week sooooooooooooooo long though.
It's not terribly long
<t:1774022400:F>
Today was the new rogue stuff, right?
Ya
Hopefully they're good
Silver Shroud ftw
Should be removed from the game tbh, that might be a hot take though
May be a hot take but you're right. It's just so good, and because it's so good, it's difficult to add fun interactions with it (set effects or anything really) because it's already so good.
0
That sounds about right, yup
Just a few more hours to go until the rogue stuff
Thicket of Blinding Light gonna get nerfed confirmed? ๐ฎ
Yes
sigh hopefully its still viable, probably is since its pmuch the only reflect option anyway
It most likely will still be strong
Just not as strong as it currently is
Patch notes when ?

I remember someone have managed the lore in ask the dev channel?
They're too long so I didn't check them out though
I honestly have no idea what lore exists in this game, I dont even get the story I just skipped everyhing

someone mentioneod that spirit xylem is getting buffed for s4, but I can't find the image of the rework. does anyone have a link?
if it isnt in here, then we dont have a pic
where would the pics be? I remember a few being posted on reddit
in the link in the msg that i sent you
i dont think it gets the stuff from reddit tho, just the dev streams
Well, cant wait to play blade storm
2 hours and 17 minutes!
Turns out brutality is better than what the hype post told us
Since the post was wrong
Good day, Travelers ๐
the other VK build I tried on the current season would also greatly enjoy Rampancy, because of butcher crown + sword catcher
Good day, Van

wow
Let me get 200% More Dmg on that one surge hit and os uber ๐๐
Classic true authentic EHG experience, lets get ready for the patch that corrects bugs that bring new bugs for the next 3 weeks !!! Yep pee they didn't read their tooltip nor code again !
We have updated the post as well
cleaver solution + brutality is gonna be funny on classes that don't actually care very much about things like armor
Armor?
It does not remove the previous effect
Your lich will decrease, but not your armor
If they also reduce armor, then this bonus kills the defense
Then this bonus is not worth it
literally doubling your damage sounds pretty worth it
Most melee builds have good armor, the only exception might be spellblade
This is a very rare case where you can sacrifice an extra layer of protection for damage... If they make a build with a one-shot Uber Aberroth again, maybe
I mean it's all trade-offs
i mean there are other layers you can lean into, btw 200 strength is attainable meaning you can triple your damage xd
sounds like its not gonna do anything for spinny sentinel
there's a build that uses Rive + butcher's crown so you're always in Frenzy, meaning swapping vit for rampancy is going to make you lose health and some resistances, but you're also getting a ton more damage
600 health, 60% poison resist, 60% necro resist as a trade-off for 300% Frenzy effect? crazy
Just put the more frenzy effect belt for more damage and less defense and go OS Uber
butcher's crown gives you permanent fenzy but it's a primordial like the belt so can't have both
ok but the butcher's crown already gives you a massive amount of extra frenzy
Hype Week Day Three! WOOO ๐
Or you can use the belt and more than 112 strength and scale frenzy even more. I just checked (belt gives 1% effect per 1 strength).
It's not permanent, so it's an extra step, but the extra effort for a trigger condition is not the worst.
1.5h
the belt might give you higher benefits, but requires some way of activating the frenzy and you're going to take vastly more damage too
Wait would cleaver solution even work with brutality? Since the strength is converted?
the 9 to 15% increased damage taken while you have Frenzy is going to be massively boosted too because it scales with the effect of Frenzy
yeah you're doing more damage and hitting faster but you're also making that 9% into 50% more damage taken
I would imagine so
I don't think it would apply that way, the actual effect of Frenzy is 20% increased attack and cast speed. The increased damage taken is a seperate condition
Fangs of the Berserker says the damage taken and dealt are altered by "increased effect of frenzy"
Ope you're right, missed that line
Last time I tried a frenzy build I went with Butcher's Crown instead specifically to avoid that effect
yeah butcher's crown + sword catcher works fantastic
now that it's 3% inc damage taken the downside seems very managable
(also the item actually working helps :P )
Am I going insane or wasn't there something revealed recently that increases area of effect? I can't find it now
madness convert iirc
Hmm, considering how arpgs in general work, there is something to be said about one-hit-kills. So long as your defenses are sufficient, but you one-tap most things and also hit the bosses even harder, yes you take more damage, but if there's nothing alive to hit you, well... not take as many hits to boot. Even big bosses, the shorter a fight is, the lower the chance of slipping up and dying.
whaddayamean
That's what I thought, but it's not listed in the forum post. was it somewhere else maybe?
Madness:
1% Spell Critical Multiplier per point.
1% increased bonus damage taken from critical strikes per point.
it might be exulis amulet with madness convert then
someone had posted everything together
recently
it is exulis I believe
kinda unfortunate madness's inherent effect is useless for DoT, I wouldn't have minded some area scaling
Ah yep that's what it was, someone had posted the effects yesterday. Thanks!
I see!
But damage also got halved there
indeed
Yeah, from 112 str to match max rolled crown to 224 str
Unles the crown is also nerfed :p
1 HOUR MY SHADOW ROGUE GANG!
Yeah I was hoping for some way to make it work with Ghostflame. Seems insane for Spine of Malatros though
With the profile pic of a falcon - I love it
I took it myself, thanks
Good morning Travelers!

I wonder if Brutality gives More Melee Dmg
Or More Dmg to melee attack
Meaning any Spell subskills would benefit from it
any new teasers?
You should post that in the ask devs, I'm curious too
fun fact...its already asked

I'm too quick with it

How hyped are you Ghosttear xD
