man I love my shield throw paladin more than any other build, but at 1000 corruption he gets one shot by primal beasts and a few too many bosses/champs/rares. Trying to figure out a way to make him more tanky is tough.
And then you get boned on slam attempts :/

Added a small chance for a “Critical Success” that can cause the Unique item to take more affixes than its Legendary Potential. This chance scales with the chance for that Unique to drop with higher Legendary Potential.
For example, if you’re using a Calamity with 1 Legendary Potential, the chance for a Critical Success depends on the chance of a Calamity dropping with 2 or more Legendary Potential at level 100.

Yeah it's a very low chance

they drop but not really often
because you are still in relatively low corruption
ah didnt thin it was that low. Another odity is the bonus stability. SOmetimes ill do like half the map and made up the bonus stability but other times I would have done 99.9% of a map and still need like 2 points. Like I find it very inconsistetn
like the map I just did. not even half of the map revealed but bonus stability already complete. Other times you gota search every nook and cranny
bonus stab isnt really worth hunting for
Even if it's bossing you're after, you get way more stability by rushing to the objective and getting a large quantity of maps cleared, the bonus stability chance will outperform a full clear
Keep in mind, with every pack you clear in an echo, you lower the density of the echo
At some point hunting in the corners of the map becomes counter productive

have a friend that has a newly merged legendary item stuck in the cash in temporal sanctum. Doesn't let him put anything new in and doesn't show him the merged item either. Anyone else seeing this?
havent heard that happening except when you put in items that arent supposed to go together.
but if you rerun the dungeon, the item will stay in the cache (or revert to what they are supposed to be)

Uniques can’t have sealed affixes so the main thing it offers it kind of redundant.

Yes you only need to do 1x level 90 now to unlock Empowered. Instead of all 3
Has there been any workaround for invisible Siege Golems yet?
They spawn in the same places, so if you can check a video you could run to those spots and hit them using shift-target or aoe skills. They're there, just invis and it's very annoying.
No there's items in there for many classes. But if there's none at all for your build, the Rune of Evolution at the top that can be used for T8 affix and there's grab bags in the lower right.
AH HA! So they were literally just invisible! I stumbled around just casting things/trying to pay attention when a fire jet would hit me. Thanks! Wish I had realized their permenancy sooner--I was agitated and just kind of mindlessly running through, admittedly, anticipating something else entirely.

Harbinger Needles are now showing up in the loot filter in a line that shows all uniques even if I filter for atleast 1+ LP or 1+ weavers will (they did not show up in this right before this patch)

Yeah, was our top priority internally for a while. It just wasn't the sort of thing we could move fast on as the risks with changing item container code is just immense. Very frustrating all around. I hope it's much better now.
We’ve got a potential fix for the Talk to Eterra quest completion bug internally. Didn’t make it into patch deadline. It should be in 1.3.4 next wee at latest but is possible it’ll piggyback on an interim hotfix if one is needed.

I tried doing Orobyss boss yesterday and today. Always have 1-2 seconds lags with the boss every few seconds. Is that a known issue? Until now I did not experience that bad of lags or delays as with this boss.

I was really looking forward to the patch, I thought I'd fix the corrupted form, I'll play normally. But the patch not only didn't fix one of the lich's most delicious passives, but also broke the bone curse, now it can't be made into an aura, the node doesn't work.

they did fix some, yes. sometimes multiple causes for the same issue and you dont know problem 2 exists until problem 1 is fixed. if you are still getting bugs, keep reporting them
Whats a reasonable corruption to start dumping favor for red rings? At 600 now and have dropped about 200k on them
doesnt matter. prophs have nothing to do with corruption for variety of items
only lp is slightly changed

Not that the corruption usually matters, i finish all the prophecies in 3 echoes cause they are all boss/nem/mage
like you still want as high corr as you can do comfortably for more favor gains for more prophs

To add onto what Eagles was saying, Item Faction Favor is tied to XP, even at level 100, and increasing Corruption increases XP. There's no cap, but there are diminishing returns on XP / Favor gain after 1,000 Corruption. The Forge Master definitely looks better now than I last looked at them last year, but how do they compare to Void Knight?

a lot of people dont like using forgemasters might cuz of the dmg nerf you get

but people generally just want fast over tanky
I am fine with tanky due to poor reaction time, but I was also kinda looking at it for another minion build (as i am playing a Druid with a Bear on the side as my other character)
well those dmg nerfs also apply to minions as well. but i was using forged weapons just fine with FMM at 600 corr comfortably
not sure what you exact build would be
but if you are fine with a little slower, its well worth the defence a shield gives
I always just kinda wanted the forged weapons to be bigger than they are
The size/shape scaling/changing with the player's weapon would indeed be cool (prolly a PITA to implement though)
I generally go for builds based on feel, but even with the new (to me) change to allow complete respecing (specifically the Mastery) I would still hate to get several hours into a playstyle to see it suddenly be unable to keep up with enemies

if you have a rule hiding low weaver will items, disable it. it's hiding every unique i test whether it has weaver's will or not. ugh

Should I just lower corruption? That feels like a wimp out. But what can I do to get more tanky?

As AFAIK Forge Master would give better stuff for Shield Throw as well as increase tankiness (not 100% sure on that last part though)

Dunno if it will help, but dodging is how I handle Rift Beasts as some of their attacks seem significantly stronger than I am supposed to be able to tank and have clear windup
You mean dodging them yourself? Yeah, I can beat them. its just a lot of effort if you wanted to grind them. 🙂
does frailty really do anything? I have 36% frailty on hit on my gloves, but maybe that's a waste

Generally you should stick to as high a corruption as you can clear quickly and reliably. If you need to pull it back just for now that is perfectly fine.

IMO its barely useful as its a maximum of like 95 damage reduction that I think would be better spent on Shred
If they're not boss only items, Imprint them in Weaver tree. 1x Legendary affix would be like a LP 1 item

Plus I was getting a glitch where I kept dying as soon as I respawned
IMO a 5% per stack to a maximum of 20% would be better, but I dunno how that would balance with everything else
if there was just a cap on enemies of 80% reduced damage it could work out though AFAIK
BUG: Acolyte / Warlock - Bonecurse skilltree is not working at all. Skill is not getting anything applied from the tree; skill area wont change, manacost wont change, skill wont apply killthreshold or additional curses like mark for death
make sure to send in a bug report (F8) so the team can get working on it
Make sure you congratulate your entire art/design team, they managed to pull off a colourful palette without making it childish. They're true artists all of them. EHG has a design goldmine.

its per language afaik. i do not know how many are possible in total/per language. as one fills up, another one is opened. i assume it tried to always fill room1..and then goes to next room, and so on

in general you want flat damage, "more" damage (multiplicative%), crit if you're a crit build -- all more than "increased" (additive%) damage
outside of making a spreadsheet with the dmg calculations yourself its not very easy tbh
outside of the build planner sites, and the path of epoch (i think thats what its called) there isnt much. you could just make an excel spredsheet tho. its just math

The Bones are Cured
The Bone Curse issue was simply a reference in the shared file that manages abilities getting overwritten by something else, fix was quick and safe to just re-add the reference luckily. We already had the other fix prepped it just happened to miss the deadline for 1.3.3 patch so got lumped in with this.

When ever i launch the game it doesn't remember I want full screen borderless. Always diverts back to full screen. This also happens to my friends as well. Any way to fix this?
No, is a bug on our side. We recently fixed an issue that changing the monitor the game was in would cause some wonky side effects. In fixing that it's now overzealous and always wants the client to match the aspect ratio of the monitor when you enter character select when in windowed mode.

There are no bug updates given out to the public for anything really. All you can do is keep reporting it. And do keep reporting it.
I do know that localization does take a bit for them tho, esp for bazaar for some reason.
I understand that localization work takes considerable time. Since the bazaar search function stopped working after the recent update, many Korean players have been concerned about this issue. I was simply wondering if the development team is aware of this bug.

There is something oddly wrong with the materials used on the games characters/armors and in some maps, they have some sort of rather odd looking gloss to them almost plastic like

yes. when you left click on the quest for it. right under the purple button there is a check box, check that if you want to turn off harbs
i will say tho turning it off will make it so you cant farm items like needles and gear like twisted heart that drop from harbs TH is regen of dragons i think. not sure off the top of my head
That’s a good point, I just find it annoying when farming blessings to have to fight the Harbys every time too.

I got myself a good Uber kill time and stopped, that's when my patience ran out
I geared up flay and had fun with that and then left to play poe2
they're not surface level problems that would bother someone playing casually. If anything it's a great casual game
it's when you dig deeper into the endgame that you start noticing the shortcomings

Ever since s1 the game has been too easy so I haven't put as much time into the game as I used to. s2 was pretty fun tho when people were still figuring out optimal ways to use the woven echoes and such.
I really think factions made the gear grind a bit too easy
A lot of my "disappointment" balance wise comes from the fact that it seems like the ideal power level lacks any sense of identity. Things having gotten nerfed from s2 to s3 would initially indicate that they realize what was way overturned and brought it all down to an even level
But with s3 broken things replaced broken things
So it's at a point where we're completely clueless as to how strong they want characters to be which bleeds into the itemization
you see that with fp not being enough for the new layer of crafting
supposedly 1000+ corruption is supposed to be what a great build is and going way above that isn't intended but so many builds just shatter that
even that has become a bad metric now. Builds that are tanky enough for 1k still delete Uber in less than half a minute which is supposedly the unintended thing
So you've literally replaced what was broken in season 2 with simply different things

S3 was literally smaller than other ARPG patches, it added a few weapons and a beast mechanic that was just filler. The only actual addition that matter was 1act, added on to an already 9. if you think that S3 was successful, you're in the minority or havn't played enough other content in the genre. Project Diablo 2 added more in a season and I doubt people here have even heard of that game

You're right that this season was within expectations. It was expected that most people would drop the game when poe2's update dropped.
Ultimately, this is because Steam doesn't show that equally important metric "total number of players for a time period", and people think that the peaks are everything. The fact that this wasn't your first thought, shows you didn't even think about the basics. To say that "most people play for 5-7 days" is crazy, when the number of unique players throughout a season is like at least 5-6x that of the peak.

I think that while S3 felt pretty light that doesn't make or break an update. For example, 3.25 was a hailmary league for PoE and people ate it up, while the new league mechanic was pretty light on interaction and I don't remember if there were any big gameplay additions to the endgame. Mainly just a good balance patch with a pretty fun and polished league mechanic.

Honestly I think people overlook how much work the new chapter is vs something like nemesis or endgame systems like that. So while I agree the patch didn't give us as much endgame as S1 or S2 I don't think less time or effort went into it

My biggest disappointment come from they let champions flooding in game to ruin smooth experience I supposed to get.
It's not so much overlooking but rather that no matter how you slice it, the bulk of this season was not something that largely added to the endgame loop with the exception of rifts

Very nuanced, am afraid. You should listen to those people to know exactly how your content can pan out, and so on, but those people are definitely not the bulk of your playerbase. However, it goes even deeper - if you know your game pulls in a lot of people by how well its content creators do/stick around, then you must adjust the game for them as well, even if it probably would hurt the average player a bit.
I heard people say they were randomly getting oneshot, which was due to a common bug.

I think this is a layered issue with multiple facets. The game is easy vs some mobs randomly oneshot for 10k+ can be two things that are true at the same time

Things like skips do add a lot of wiggle room in the difficulty. Unfortunately, the only way to consistently access them during the campaign is to start doing monoliths as soon as possible. (Or have an alt but that doesn't make the game hard)

cuz things break when they build the production live patch sometimes. there have been many cases where a patch they throw out has to be reverted. things happen sometimes in the building. so you cant always blame QA when that happens.
and some things (like stashes) they have to be careful with, cuz if they accidently nuke your stash

Yes. I literally think of LE as 0.3 instead of 1.3. Not exactly fair and accurate, but I recognize where the game is. Buuuuuuuuut to be honest, am not exactly blaming people for thinking otherwise - they were advertised a released, full-fledged game, that they paid $35 for. So, how many patches/years worth of patience should they have for the game to be on par with, say, PoE1? I don't think that's even fair to ask of EHG as of now, but it's certainly how people feel.
What am saying is, LE launched in a niche where its main competitor has a looooooooooooooooooooooot of content, so people will absolutely judge it in relative terms.

Comparing the game to PoE1 isn't fair considering it's the best arpg of this generation. But I think it's fair to expect a full release game to not be a broken buggy mess.

Everything's easy in hindsight, and EHG is smart, but they definitely should've thought about it. So, I played the mechanic, and evolved the beasts many times, and watched streams. All those max-evolved Rift Beasts, even at high CR, were just...not...interesting. You hit them, dodged their stuff, and they died. Nothing. Is there something else I missed?

Personally I'd like to see content with cumulative rewards that gets progressively harder and rewards you in the end depending on how far you've gone or how well you've done. Could be a multi layered thing. Maybe place "map sigils" as well, since skill sigils are already on the roadmap. Maybe pick modifiers, maybe use the forge for map crafting as well, maybe manipulate your loot for a big difficulty spike. I think more agency over the content you're doing to eliminate some of the rng would be a good incentive for replayability. As it stands, if I pull a 1/4k lp I still have a 1/3 to brick it. But what if game kicked my butt to help me earn that other than gamba
And not just for slamming. Say do something way harder to add fp to items

Tombs are ❎ so 3 available in a map now. I want 1-2 more, each one spend me 3 mins is the max.

All I want in base maps is a cache or two more on average and more density as a baseline

I think I'm okay with echoes having lots of content in them, the maps are pretty big and I still run into times where I'm just running without fighting anything

i dont forsee them doing a timeline without a web (but maybe)...but i could see some additions to the web itself...like walking into a space of like 4-5 echoes in a circle where you have a twisted realm of sorts, or like, 'extra dense void' where the mobs are harder or something.
or you could take the 'city' part of delve add kinda have that in the echo webs...webs and delve are fairly similar

My issue with carcinization of momentum is just that it's too good. Unless I managed to get my ideal ring, it's really hard to find something more worthy of the slot.
I guess I feel really sad when the crab dies. Maybe they should buff it to be the strongest summon in the game.

is there a decent alternative for a shield throw paladin build to no Mantle of the Ox and no Manifest Armor?
I realize the combination there is 20-24% dmg transferred to your minion, and dps gain if you can get it to bounce between your minion and the boss, but:
- that's so klunky I hate depending on it
- when your minion drops, that's a lot of defense lost.
- finding 3+LP Mantles of the Ox is brutal.
I want to be more able to face tank stuff and I kinda hate the minion reliance

The designers of Last Epoch did a good job minimizing the code bloat it seems. I'm not getting any of the rubber banding like I get in D4 and PoE 2
Code has nothing to do with rubber banding in the way you say, it's not matching client side and server background things. Mostly Internet

hey, just finished my play of the POE 2 league and looking to play the new last epoch league. i wanna play a strong build and figure the builds have been figured out by now. could anyone recommend a strong build to play
^ just a note that they're ranking their builds against each other. There are a lot of other builds out there as well and you can always make up your own for at least the Campaign.
I was in the same situation few days ago, i did go in SSF and playing acolyte necromancer fire minion build, it's really really strong, i'm new too and for moment my build is really really big, the campaign was fluid and now in the "map" it start to struggling but still nice
Respec in LE is fairly painless. You can switch Skills for free - just need to relevel Skill a bit, Passives for regular gold, and Mastery for more regular gold. Just can't change your base class. So feel free and make up your own build, if you want to, and then if you need a guide later you can respec.
If you're in MG as you are I'd suggest using the TSM filter. It's by far the most popular MG filter. You can find the Discord in #1361743745116016780 . The Discord has the filters, you can also find them on Last Epoch Tools. Here's the link. I don't believe there's currently an option for that. You can select Rarity: Exalted, but there isn't an option for the affix tier at this time. You can let the devs know you'd like that feature by posting into one of the existing categories in #1210282176680169562 .
