.... double faction seemss unavoidable this ddays thank for your answeer
hi all. is there any build about the this faction?
double faction isn't even the play here this time around, in mg you have all the runes you want so no need to cof, and mg has no dupe or inflation so items that are 10m+ are actually hard to get
<@&1161418687471956101>
hi does imprint work for boss/specific drop ?
it dosent, imprint work only for normal/magic/rare/exalteds and non bosses uniques items
sso any idea to farm 2 lp foot of mountain ?
kk got better result so far by fullclearing echo where mob of the dungeon spawn
but iwill try
yes u can do it like this too
I think you can probably benefit from all the nodes, depending on how focused your strat is. Enrage for runes and glyphs justifies going there to start with. More points than minimum should increase odds you get dungeon uniques in echoes. And I guess this is just my case cuz I just do solo char found for an uberoth attempt, but I could definitely run out of portal charms
Is Soulfire Bastion any good on CoF btw? I found the echo surprisingly nice for just buying exalteds or uniques. Also found regular SFB nice for using a CoF char to obtain sellable gear for MG, iirc it doesn't become untradeable. But are SFB keys as good as the echo or are they waste of space?
Running dungeon itself is probably a waste of time since there is no rarity / corruption bonus imo. Eventually imprints dominate any other source of exalts late game so I'd wage spending time on another method focused on exalts is probably not worth the time. Haven't really played with the dungeon woven echo though, guess it's possible the shop is giga juiced or something
Nah, I never ran super high corruption
It just seemed better than expected at a couple 100c
how do you keep up as only cof for stash gold ?started to let som t7 on the ground
You shouldn't pick up everything, especially with rune of havoc existing now you don't need multiple copies of every t7 you might use. If you run out of gold you probably pick up too much. Also as you go higher corruption you get more gold drops. I also find I tend to stabalize once I have enough tabs for all my categories and the gold begins to pile up.
If you have a loot filter on (depending on how strict you make it), you can set it to only drop T7s with T6s on same item. Or double T7s etc. so don't need to pick up exactly everything
I like to pick up and sell all rings, amulets and smaller uniques. Just put a dedicated "selling" color in your loot filter, pick up and sell
This method always makes a couple millions every seasons
how long does it take to get rank 12?
its not a time thing, it directly relates to XP gained
rep = (2 * favor spent + 2 * favor earned) = (XP earned / 750) * (1 + (faction rank * 0.05))
basically you should get R12 before hitting level 100 if you spend all your favor
haha yeah i was about 45%xp lvl 7 and after spending favors i leveled up to lvl 8 roughly at 90%xp
is there a bug going on with level 12 of circle of fortune? cause its definitely not doubling my prophecies? or does it double it when it gets completed? (so it does double on completion i thought it was going to double the prophecies so for example with the double up lense you can get 14 unique rings for one of the nodes, i thought it would start saying 28 instead)
how else would it grant double items?
@darokun @jhingodd
Did you ever get this resolved? I'm also lvl 12 and not seeing the doubling effect yet.
so it just doubles the actual reward when its completed so if you have a 14 unique ring prophecy for example when completed it will drop 28
thank you
Does the circle of fortune rank bonus for +150% boss item drops work on dungeon bosses? Or just monoliths?
Yes, it works on dungeon bosses (and so does the double LP chance)
Quick question: Does the full set drop also trigger when completing a set item prophecy?
Yes
So when going for a set item it is smartest to get the prophecy for the most common one, e. g. ferebor set I take dagger prophecy over ring, right?
Yeah, exactly
Awesome, thanks!
Do you get more favor when you hit level 100 from killing stuff? Seems like now that I am 100 I am getting a lot favor than I am spending
Nope, same as before; being at higher level may mean you're fighting harder stuff and/or doing it faster, so it can pile up pretty quick. You do get more favor the higher your faction rank is, though.
favor = exp, the more exp the more favor you accrue.
How do I start the events? I just joined CoF
What do you mean "the events"
what event
You play, you kill, you get points to spend.
Fortune again next season. Once the arrow flies, a man never looks back
how i play with other players?
How do you think?
You invite them to a party and then jump to the same area.
Hello guys, I didnt played this season (actually last time I played was May 2025)
Can someone recomend a cool build to play this month (until season 3) with COF?
My main goal would be killing Uber Aberroth
In my experience, my easiest kill (by far) was definitely with Eq Bear Beastmaster
But I know, that Abomination is also very, very strong. I haven’t played it personally tho
I would not recommend paladin or reflect builds for uber as they simply lack damage without investing a lot in gear
Reflect shaman is super easy to gear to max dmg.
There’s a bossing tierlist on maxroll. All are viable in CoF
Might want to pick a build that’s also decent on the speed tierlist.
Reflect is great for mapping, but is not the same tier as eq bear or abomination for Uber :p
Nope. But that’s not what I claimed. I said it’s super easy to scale dmg on reflect shaman. That’s why the build feels so OP.
You can have 50% of your max dmg before you even get to empowered monos.
I was insta phasing all bosses on my first char (so had no reign gear)
Tbh, grinding with reflect and then swapping to bear for uber abby is probably the fastest way to do uber abby from scratch as a primalist, except maybe tornado bear or storm totem
Because bear is relatively slow at farming/progressing
guys, would you be so kind to advise what would be the fastest way to farm XP currently? I know that it farms relatively quickly by just playing the game, but if we are talking peak efficiency - what would that be nowadays?
There isn't really an "XP farm meta" anymore, since imprints do pretty much everything prophecies do, except better. Depending on your build Mage echo reset could be pretty good XP. Otherwise just speed farming echos
False temple when you are lacking power at the start can carry a lot
Nah, power is ok, its just about the time to get lvls when you don’t need to farm anything else
even not lacking power its pretty good for zoom increases
the rank1 every season abuses arena strat, but that's only viable for one spec coz it offscreens everything
funny thing is tornado probably is not gonna get nerfed even though it is the fastest 100 build and best arena build by far
yeah it's probs not changing, doesn't impact enough people for them to care about it
any generally good things to spend favor on? I'm at 999,999... I got all the random drop legendaries I want, I have 2t7 exalts from everything too, and also enough runes
Depends what you need generally doing a lot of ring prophecy very valuable same with boots and body armor but it all depends of your build
Never reach cap spend all favor when is at 500k or higher if you can
yeah, I just reached it a few minutes ago 😄 I'm building LB runemaster, and I'm towards the endgame already. I basically need more amber, because everything I need is either more nemesis or more troves for imprint procs
generally uniques are the only thing decent, but a lot of uniques are not random drops. Unstable core has huge roll range so I kinda prefer imprints for that
idols are not awful
yeah, I already have a 2LP missed slam imprint with 147% dmg and +80 mana, so it's fine
idols hmm, I have some room for improvement but my idols are decent too. The tall ones all have +3 Spell lightning on the suffix
helm exalt, belt boss only or champion, ring primal / exalt, boots not bad option, gloves okay, relic boss, wep exiled mage, catalyst fine, neck boss
boots, gloves, catalyst all have a 2t7 slam done
Yo frozen if a 4 lp unique is like 3 rerolls a 3lp how many rolls is that like the demi roll means what
thanks, I'll farm idols then 😄 the roll ranges on those are insane anyways
For imprint sake a 3 lp unique how many times the reroll happens
That's the brain of 3 languages in one person sometimes coherence doesn't happen🥲
Seems like it's just half reroll extra more per LP
So just to make sure I understand right:
any time a unique item drops, it rolls for legendary potential. First it tries to roll for 1 lp, if that fails item drops as 0 lp, if it succeeds it tries to roll for 2lp. If that fails, items drops as 1lp, if succeeds it tries for 3lp etc.
This count as “1 roll” from an imprint perspective. So if I imprint a 4LP item, this will happen 2 extra times and the highest LP will be preserved on the drop? If the imprinted item is 1 LP, then we have a 50% chance for another roll process?
something like this, don't know the exact mechanic
Thanks!
Yep, this is all correct. As to where the double LP chance rank bonus fits in there, it directly doubles the chance of the 1 LP roll succeeding (corruption scaling also applies to the 1 LP roll only, and total chance caps at 100%).
So does that mean that CoF has half the chance to brick and item than merchants? I’ve been cof for a long time and didn’t compare the benefits as I was playing offline
No, it's double the chance to not brick (I'm assuming you mean brick is getting lego affixes from the nemesis egg). For example, items with an LPL of 20 or lower have 50%+ chance of getting LP (<50% brick chance), so with the CoF bonus they are guaranteed to have LP (0% brick chance). On the other end of the spectrum, high LPL items see much closer brick chance since it's a small % to succeed that's doubled.
It also means that COF doesn't scale with corruption (not that nemesis LP does anyway) for items they've already boosted to 100% for 1LP, since corr bonus only boosts 1LP, which also indirectly impacts 2LP+ chance.
Eg. 4LP Kestral at 100c for COF is 1 in 173, at 1000c it's still 1 in 173.
For MG at 100c it is 1 in 258, at 1000c it's 1 in 231
in which way does corruption scale imprint drops?
same way as normal
which is?
I've never seen this info so far
no, i mean to exalted items and reroll chance... like, what happens to a 98% reroll chance on 300c vs 1000c?
rare affixes?
I dont think it does
at least I haven't seen anything to say it does, you can get more T7s and stuff
Corruption doesn't affect any reroll chance stuff.
As a baseline, corruption increases item rarity (alongside difficulty), which leads into better tiers of items dropped (so, more exalts, uniques in general). CoF mechanics come on top of that and tend to apply their effects relative to the item that ultimately drops, after its rarity has been already decided.
How much more common is getting a 2t7 from an imprint on 1000c vs 300c?
Do we know that? Like what the % are?
Reason I’m asking is since I’m on HC I’m curious if it’s worth the extra risk.
My only experience with non-unique/legendary imprints was the jewelry one to try and get copies to havoc around at one point. That one specifically stated that it will keep the affixes on item (say, ring), but not the tiers, and it did indeed drop a lot of the same item class (rings) with a clear tendency towards keeping the affixes, but the tiers were all over the place. This also implies that the quality of the drop (i.e. rare or exalted and how exalted it could be) follows the same rarity mechanics as any other item. On top of which CoF mechanics apply.
I find 1000c to be perfectly safe on HC and would say it’s absolutely worth it in general to go up to 1000c.
Going higher is only really if your build can handle it as the diminishing returns are pretty huge after 1000c
Of course if you feel like your build can’t handle higher corruption then I wouldn’t risk it.
Just wait until you find the upgrades needed to allow you to push higher.
My build can handle 2k corruption if I really pay attention, but the echo completion time is a bit slower and I die occasionally. 1k corruption is fast and easy. Is 2k corruption not 2x the rewards (like in 2t7 imprint procs from mobs, etc)?
2k is not even close to 2x drops vs 1k, 1k isn't even close to 3x drops vs 300 imo.
what's your gut feeling on how much more "value" 2k corruption provides vs 1k corruption, not accounting for the slower clear speed? Is it like 110% of value?
Considering these to be valuable (in order):
- imprint procs (mob drops, echo reward drops, lost cache drops)
- nemesis +LP and high tier exalt upgrades
- extra rampant coast rewards (petals and horns are my bottleneck, from everything else I have more than I need)
- extra gold drop
- extra favor drop
I've only done 2k once since corr was nerfed in 1.1 and wasn't super impressed probably some small % like that, only worth if your speed is not really impacted at all
2k isn’t much better than 1k
Thanks both, so probably will stay at 1k, it's super chill 😄 easy farming
There was a graph (https://lastepoch.tunklab.com/monolith-scaling) that, if correct, shows a slightly exponential evolution of rarity by corruption growth. Only around 500 corruption is it roughly 500% increased rarity. As corruption goes up, seems rarity grows slightly faster.
Even so, ~1000% increased rarity vs ~2000% increased rarity. Whilst it sounds better on paper, RNG is still RNG and does not guarantee anything other than a slightly skewed distribution in loot dropped towards the better drops. Nothing too significant. Depends on how the rarity mechanic works, really.
Frozen said higher up corruption (rarity) doesn’t affect reroll chance for affixes.
And the imprint t7 reroll chance is still 9% to get a double t7.
So if we’re taking 2% higher chance to get a t7 in 2k vs 1% on 1k, that’s very low compared to even just farming imprints on 300c with the base imprint proc chances.
But it sounds like we don’t really have exact understanding of how this scales to put actual numbers on it.
What farming start are you doing at 1k corruption?
Troves and rampant coast?
Folly and temple?
Just spent a bit searching, but it seems that indeed, we don't actually know how the item rarity system even works outside of "It makes more rares and exalteds as you go higher". No detail to work with. We do know a lot about what goes on top of that, what with CoF mechanics basically enhancing drops in a pseudo-rarity way, but we're also given the numbers about how they modify that base drop. I admit to never having played MG to any extend that got me into the 1000 corruption, so my memory is strictly CoF-enhanced here and where applicable.
I only mention this because in absence of base % chance(s) for drop of item, 1000% difference in rarity can be a big difference overall, unless the number is infinitesimal to boot.
I am not really playing atm, not played since near the start of the league but I was doing troves when I was farming nearer to the start of the league.
how were you sustraining them without rampant coast?
I was doing Rampant Coast, I was just being lazy and only typed out half of what you said hoping you would connect the dots XD
on HC at 1k corruption? with which build?
Warpath VK
This assumes that 100% -> 101% rarity provides the same benefit as 1000% -> 1001%, or even 1000% -> 1010% for that matter.
Rewards do not seem to scale linearly with rarity, let alone all the other things that don't really scale with corruption
Yeah, we know for sure rarity's effect is not linear. It might resemble a linear effect at reasonable corruption levels, but we don't really know.
I play a lot at 2k this season and for hard core it would be bad for sure but for softcore its amazing way better than 1k ,no datamine here just feeling and play i didn't get a single 3t7 item playing at 1k corr
If you want amazing exalts bumping to 2k if doable is amazing compared to 1k
I am at 8.5 k echoes not as impressive as others but my lich before group troving and all that stuff got way better gear than any of the other characters I played before in other seasons. And any of us the cof trove group has had a lot better success with nemesis gear while above 2k
Temple is old news folly and troves its almost sustainable, and if you ever do with more people its completely sustainable so you can save beast materials for actual primordial items you may want instead of buying bags
My bad, I should mention that I read the "increased rarity" as 100% (base) + 1000% In a sense, 11 times as much rarity. Multiplying some ridiculously small number by 11 will not make it notable outside of statistical relevance, which is not something players would even want to check while playing in any sort of accurate form. This part was only for the point that the numbers seem big, but their effects are probably only statistically relevant over maybe 1000 echoes run and recorded.
The numbers themselves are mere approximations. The increased rarity from corruption seems to follow a very slightly exponential graph, in that it apparently grows by some 10% over the corruption number after some thousands corruption. For simplicity's sake, I used the blunt 1000 and 2000.
Overall, rarity may only just increase the statistical relevance over the stretch of 1000 corruption, not necessarily the feel we get that the drops are indeed better. After all, getting more T6 exalteds in the (hypothetic) context of only getting T6 exalteds is still an increase, just not the kind we'd actually want out of it.
I wasn't really talking about corruption vs amount of rarity gained at all, moreso rarity vs drops.
I'm hesitant on accepting anecdotes with this as we are all subject to various biases. With differences so small its hard to measure with your gut.
Relying on the limited datamining and simulation of logic we have so far
I may have misunderstood the intent, but I am also operating under the idea that I don't have the numbers or the algorithm to pass any sort of actual judgement. I don't know. Do we know?
At any rate, this whole thing is tangential to the idea that CoF buffs all modify drops as they are dropped after the rarity system does its magic. With the odd quantity buff (like 150% boss drops). Without a clear notion of what rarity does, it's also hard to judge how CoF really impacts that (outside of prophecies)
Im playing SSF HC.
You’re way braver than I am. Those beasts can shotgun you during super short lag.
From what I've seen pretty much all forms of corruption scaling follow a similar formula and yeah past 1k the difference is fairly minimal
This is lp for example
White is 1lp, blue is 0lp, etc
The first few hundred do most of the heavy lifting and it just gets slower and slower
On the subject of LP, we do know some items have a base higher chance to get more LP than others. And the magnitudes vary significantly, from 1 in a few hundreds to 1 in millions for the same LP value between two compared uniques.
So, how does the above graph factor this into account?
pretty sure the above is just 0 LPL with no COF bonus
The main point of that graph is not the exact position of each line. But rather their shape.
Showing that increasing corruption has very negligible effect on LP rolls as you push corruption up super high
Fair enough, thank you for the clarification.
same graph I think for 0 LPL ladle, but you can also select different uniques & cof bonus:
https://lastepoch.tunklab.com/lp-scaling?u=alchemists_ladle
Ah, seems I have a lot more to look through than I thought previously. Thank you.
Did you just add that graph today? I swear I looked at this earlier and didn't see it
yeah it was small effort and I'm bored waiting for s4 (also there is no link to that page on the site, except through full site search atm)
Oh nice. I don't need to screenshot my desmos graph for people anymore lmao
Would like to see more impacts to currency drops at higher corruption.
more havocs nom nom
I wish there was a way to see an icon on the End of Time monolith map with which timeline bosses have a pending boss prophecy - would help save a lot of time going back and forth with the prophecies screen
Admittedly, I might have had a similar thought when first getting into the game. Then I learned which bosses mean which timeline. And how to pick prophecies as I reroll the choices to not overfill the storage of prophecies and also keep them relatively condensed on a few things. Like avoiding the infamous immortal watcher-whatnot rare-only monster that looks the same its counterpart, does roughly the same things, except I think one summons skellies, the other doesn't or something. Or generally diamond matrons on timelines that cannot spawn them.
Now, what does kind of bother me to date is keeping track of the prophecies themselves. They are listed in a first come first displayed way, no options to rearrange, no search, only hover over, make mental note that I have these prophecies specific to this timeline I want to do now.
I asked about CoF QoL earlier and it seems like we're getting some sort of changes for s4, so fingers crossed
Yeah, as to what they are, well... I'm holding off on seeing the changes first.
Hopefully keybindable reroll button
I would argue that it's really extreme. The odds from 0 - 300 corruption is about the same increase as from 300 - 900, and then again from 900 to 2700. Seems to me that it's tuned too hard by EHG. A 3 LP Nihilis is astronomical whether its corruption 0 or 6000 corruption. Looking at some other examples, it seems fairly consistent that whatever the droprate is for LP1-4 at corruption6000, is about 20% higher than at corruption0 (so a 0.01 turns 0.012)
That's very little indeed 🤔
So moral of the story is: if you're not oneshotting things, you're not at the right corruption level.
And just to be clear, nihilis only drops in a 0c area
This really only applies to boss drops. As EHG has repeated, the main impact of finding higher LP items at high corruption is just finding more items in general
Yeah but that's generally more tied to favour so you can really start snowballing your constellations quickly. Of course, the 2x LP chance is gigantic already from CoF, but I was also under the impression that the increased loot drops flatten out as well.
500-600 corruption vs 1000 for example, I personally couldn't go much higher than that without also severely reducing my kill speed, but I would certainly not say the drops per run were higher.
Now with Season 4, barring significant class nerfs, we can start pushing that a bit higher with corrupting items and new idol effects, but we're probably looking at a ~100 corruption increase... I think.
CoF mechanics are there to counteract the complete lack of trading. Whether they overcompensate is a discussion, but player trading in general relies on the basic supply and demand formula of how many people are there that can supply the gear for the others to buy for their builds. It's dynamic, so balancing CoF against MG is a losing battle. But to balance MG, the drop rates need to be balanced, which implies that CoF gets its own somewhat % increase to drop rates by virtue of the bonuses we get to compensate the base drop rates.
So, uh... in terms of drops, it's on the base level that CoF does not lower the corruption requirement for some sweet spot or another. It's more that CoF is compensating for your inability to trade.
The corruption potential of builds in general is a tiered list.
One thing that CoF requires is a bit more game time and also good use of said game time.
Can someone please explain this to me?
How does go from higher increased rarity to more drops = increased quantity?
I can understand it for double t7 and triple t7 drops with t7 in general becoming less rare with increased rarity.
But how would this affect more unique drops?
Sorry, its not about finding more items, but finding more uniques
Higher rarity -> more uniques -> more LP uniques
CoF got a massive nerf relative to MG when they introduced weaver tree.
Its compensating for the lack of trade, but the power of CoF is minuscule compared to MG because of imprints. Regardless of the market.
Why does increased rarity case more quantity to occur?
More quantity of high rarity items
Regardless, CoF is effective enough at making solo and market-independent play very much viable
Same number of items total, but more of them are uniques
Aha. All the blue items start becoming yellow, yellow into exalted, and exalted into uniques?
CoF does have its central aspect of prophecies. You target one prophecy type, complete them, get a couple dozen of a unique (or exalted) of an equipment type and you build up a stock to then work with with the other mechanics.
You only need the first 1, and imprints becomes more powerful.
Or... did? idk, we're supposed to see some reworks soon.
Or, you could... do that in parallel?
even MORE uniques of what you wanted XD
Don’t have any data to back it up, but it sure does feel I can proc way more red rings from imprints than favor once I get the first 1. Measured in RRs/played hour
Sure. It’s more. But the CoF layer ontop of imprints feels like a less than 2 multipler.
And it’s even worse for double t7 or triple t7 to the point it feels pointless to even spend time on prophecies.
Granted, I’m in HC so haven’t tried this at ridiculous corruption levels.
Main thing I use prophecies for is for idols. Runes of havoc. First unique if it’s a rare one. E.g red rings.
And then the generic CoF bonus for boss drops.
It is. COF does in theory get their first 2T7 easier (assuming you don't just buy it as MG), but doesn't really get any bonuses relative to MG for continuously proccing that 2T7+
Great video yesterday btw! Nicely done.
Whether they overcompensate is a discussion I think they did in Season 1 but once Season 2 got here, it is no longer the case. CoF was quite far down in S2 compared to MF. I never played Season 3 (And I don't even know what's new!) due to IRL reasons, so I can't say if CoF has gotten better since Season 2.
MG was ripe with exploits in S1 , so it’s not a fair comparison.
You’re comparing something that was working as intended with something that was completely broken
I did Uber with multiple characters with both MG and COF in 1.2, there were pros and cons even with the broken econ. Hard to compare, for sure. A lot of the pros (like infinite lightless for MG to print items due to inflation) wouldn't exist in a real economy. The cons of rare items not being listed or instantly sniped by folks with infinite gold also wouldn't exist.
1.3 I think MG was clearly superior for minmaxing, but the market moves very slow with low player count. Prices are very inelastic, listings not updated, etc.
It also is just nothing like WoW where people just keep on playing, even if an hour here and there for even the most casuals. They quit a season after a few weeks (nothing wrong with that) but what that means is that, the further along you go in a season, the more hardcore the playerbase is going to be. So the people that are left playing, will put less stuff on MG over time, because they themselves are more likely to find an item they want than for it to appear on the MG. Not sure if I'm explaining it right 🤔
It wouldn't surprise me if the more hardcore players prefer CoF for that reason (More within your control, not dependent on playerbase to put stuff on MG)
And by hardcore in this context, I just mean people that still put in a lot of hours in the game even quite deep into the season.
Yeah, one could say I play my games, particularly actiony titles in a rather hardcore way. Hardcore enough that I can cut my time playing such titles to as low as possible. But ADHD enough to literally not be able to do more than one or two characters per cycle/season and rarely one after the other, more often come back a month or so later, start up another character.
Each one of us has their ways of playing and heck, maybe there's some statistics out there, but there's always a clear drop-off of active players every time an arpg launches a new season within a few weeks to a month.
Heck, part of the whole PoE experience is get as much done in the first week of the game, before the player market just goes wild in whichever way and you can't exactly afford to play your own way because of those playing the most efficient ways and crashing the market.
In a sense, I can note a sort of trend and maybe an aspect or two that are a part of it. Player-driven markets are wonky (though unsure if wonkier than actual markets), and have a number of known or intuitive factors that just make it a game within a game to use at all.
I can see CoF-style being way more preferable on the simple sense that you are free to enjoy the game you're playing literally on your own terms.
Cof just need actual exalt imprint buff like dont make it almost same as mg since we dont do trade like them, getting the exalts is such a pain at least let it keep the t7 more often idk i could be running 3t7 stuff a lot easier if that was the case
I kinda want prophecies that interact with imprints tbh
I quit within 24hrs this season
Why was that?
Got to 100, a few slams here and there, maybe a T8 roll and thought it was enough? Liked the new campaign chapter?
Same!
And I can't for the life of me remember why.
Logged in yesterday and saw a lv. 7 Sentinel and was like "I thought I skipped entirely, but I started and quit almost immediately."
incredibly shit luck and didnt pull a rune prison, and im Really not a fan of out of map mechanics and having both weaver tombs and primal tombs was too much
think deadlock also was popping off because it was the first 6 hero update
and dont remember if poe2 had an update the following week
so when I wanted a break from deadlock there was poe2 to go to
I skipped S3 because of Silksong
Just a bad release timing unfortunately
But this time I'll be able to play for a few weeks and have fun
what wrong with Silksong ?
Probably more of a thing of priorities in one's life. Can't fault anyone for doing their thing with the spare time they have. Who knows, maybe the adjustments to CoF will glue us in better :p
Nothing, I skipped LE in order to play Silksong lol
ahh. okay bro
i recently came back after a long time, but as i was always a CoF player i cant comment on MG folks, i do believe getting those drops yourself is simply a better feel than grinding gold to buy something
i think the factions should have been a mix of both since day 1 to begin with
I played for about a week early on simply because there just isn’t that much content
i like to minmax, i can grind the same thing for weeks for a slightly better drop 🤷♂️ but that is indeed not for everyone
still on the hunt for that 4LP Frozen Ire and 3LP Crest of Unity 😔
could use 2LP heart of ukheiros too, all the ones i got i failed the slams
last season was terrible you didnt miss anything, just a forgettable rift beast mechanic that becoming boring after 2 hours
I haven’t play poe2 since season 2 of le, can’t deal with that horrendous crafting system
Well now expecting some datamine but good lord what a way to kill the game even more than what it is just nerf cof players a ton more while giving you nothing for it
I'm confused... In what way again?
They give you new idols and rune of corruption. Overall player power would be about the same
I expect stronger not same its a new season
Why you expect that? New boss is weaker than Uberroth
Anyway to all the grinder either cof or mg we know why we complain
So any build currently can beat him doesn't mean anything, point is to continue making any build you do stronger since its a new season if power its same why would I play this season
To play differently?
how did t hey nerf us cof players?
Indeed, how specifically in a way that is unique to cof?
Imprints are pretty dead now do you need a huge explanation about what this means?
Cause I shouldn't have to
No, because I never abused imprints. Plopped my interesting unique in for a little more of it, played normally, spamming prophecies, sifting through and yeah...
and how does that hurt cof more then mg, mg will make way less money cos of it
Omg a true game you played normally
Bruh literally we all do everything prophecies imprint
That’s not how gold is generated in MG.
Like that you think this way aint our problem ssf cof is in the gutter
They hardly change the build balance. Maxroll tier list will be almost identical I S4.
CoF may not be in a very good place this season, but... CoF is having a big rework being baked...
Oh yeah 7 months later
My friend if you play for 1 week thats ok for the rest of us that actual play through the season and can tell easily how bad this patch notes are for grind this was godawful
But, uhh... what is the problem, really? That I can play my way, at my pace and have my fun even with some nerfs on the pipeline? I ain't blowing a gasket until I see it in effect.
Yeah, 1 intense week until uber abby gets farmed for a little.
You are the one that has a problem we point why its bad oh no I dont listen
Go back and play another 1 week next season thats what ehg loves and needs anyway
Is your argument that: this doesn’t affect me so it’s fine?
No
Yes
It's that I don't understand.
Like i said many times and others in chat like baal there are big problems and nerfs for the players but I aint typing all that stuff again
When I asked what the problem is, it's legitimately what is the problem I am not seeing?
I recommend you to play the game more
I recommend you don't recommend how to play my games :p
So, if you have more data on what makes it so CoF in particular is getting the shaft, I am listening. I have my past experience, I have my view to date, it may be flawed, I await new info.
Troll dont get mad again play thr game more
Its really the only way to learn about it and its problems and potential solutions
I'm not mad, I am ignorant and I admit it. I await the data.
We could have gotten a fix to resolve the imprint problem but we didn't so thats it
Good I await frozen video
I guess I'll just have to go google the "imprint problem".
My friend did a feedback vuthia basically if anyone needs to know why we have problems with the game
Can go check it out ,I am sure some may disagree but its pretty on point
Was the problem that the system was bugged and resulted in results that were skewed too favorably in our direction?
No system worked how it worked ,like imprints are stronk but imprints dont fix our problems i have done a like in 1 character this season alone 10k echoes and like most of the time whatever imprint drops aint that good but its better that loot you get from killing mobs
Imprints how actually should work is that it should give sort of a replica of what you imprint almost , and it really doesn't for exalts ,I can drop 50 3t7 rings and maybe 2 of those have 3 stats that I need for slamming my rings
My point is even flawed it allows us to face many rng challenges that last epoch has ,imprint helps it doesn't fix anything, never in idk maybe 20k echoes total,2400 hours I gave dropped a single 3t7 in a natural way
Ok this is all about the imprint part, weaver tree, not CoF specific... So, how does this adversely impact CoF more than MG?
Its cof and mg related cause now mg cant have access to example uniques like red ring anymore for corruption and such and exalts are a huge bottleneck for both
Again loot dropped its garbo most of the time
So why are you talking about it in the CoF-specific channel, then?
Idk why are you ignorant then?
Like idk my English aint perfect I feel I explain well enough lol
MG: I want x, lots of people find x, I buy x
CoF: I want x, I need to find or make it myself, the way to get x has now becomes ~10 times as rare
Separation of concerns... If you want to talk about the imprint thingy, it's not much to do with CoF or MG. There's other channels to do that in.
And MG won't be affected at all, you think?
In theory, corruption can give us X, but with 40-80 possible affixes, it will also be rare. That is on top of it being unmodifiable. So I need to fix rolls with rerolls before corrupting. I need to hit that 1/3 slam first.
For MG you dont need to hit X, someone else will, you buy X
Ok, I am not one to speculate on the grand scheme of things, I will patiently await the season to launch and see the outcomes for myself. I don't play MG characters, I am not going to go in that channel, ask how they feel about a problem that affects all players.
Plus, it's not like I have the company's analytics on hand to know what all the players do in statistical format.
arent you just trying to make unrealistic gear and then getting frustrated that your not dropping the unrealistic gear
What unrealistic about it did you play at all this season?
For real people shouldn't be hard ro understand if need better explaining go to feedback,if after this still can't understand, not more I can do ty
you dropped 3 3-T7 rings of meta affix and you want more
Imma gonna need the numbers. I see some 10 people actually supporting. How many players are there? Heck, how many of us are in this discord?
I have 4t7 items btw ty
If you think 3t7 doesn't exist you shouldn't do conquered tower
uh-uh... ever killed uber abby with... less than that?
you are so incoherent
Cause that's the place where all the items comefrom
Abo kills it with 1t7 items means nothing at 2t7 its a joke uber so yeah I done more than you btw
Mhmm... uber abby being the ceiling in terms of actually challenging content outside of infinite scaling, then we maybe need to tone down builds or maybe make the checkpoints harder?
But... that has little to do with CoF...
That’s actually a bad design of an ARPG.
If you balance the strongest boss in the game to make it a challenge for the strongest, fully geared-out build, you end up having a 1 build game.
There’s plenty for builds that can instantly kill pinnacle bosses in PoE, you can even do it with builds that are designed for massive AoE, and how many ppl are complaining about lack of end game content there?
ARPG is a power fantasy genre, the entire point is that you can get to a point where you feel like god with enough investment.
Yes, but... If you want to reach the ceiling you have to invest yourself into it. Just because other games made it too easy to do so once you got your build together doesn't implicitly make them better. But now, before we delve deeper, there are other channels, since all this still has nothing to do with CoF.
Not sure i understand your point. Are you saying it’s too easy to get to the build ceiling in PoE and that we don’t need to have it so easy here in LE?
well at the end of the day at least me plays CoF for that satisfaction of getting the stuff myself
ive played games where i spent more times on the market than playing the actual game and i dont wanna do that in Last Epoch
i farmed for 3LP or better Frozen Ire for 10 months before i quit pretty much, i only ever dropped ONE, and the only stat i had to hit, i whiffed it, any combination of the stat i need + 2 more would be fine, but the one stat i needed i missed
here you spend more time rolling prophecys xD
Are there particular echoes I should be targeting to encounter more siege golems, void horrors, diamond matrons, and immortal eyes so I can clear out some of my prophecies?
go to:
https://lastepoch.tunklab.com/bestiary
look up the mob:
https://lastepoch.tunklab.com/npc/SiegeGolem
and look at the bottom, it shows which timelines they appear in
in general, reign of dragons is a good timeline for prophecy procs
Thank you. Reign of dragons is where I've been.
you can select one guaranteed stat, how did you whiff?
Cof needs QoL improvements for rolling prophecies:
- quick button for reroll
- show the text of all prophecies withiut hover one by one
- instant load (no animation)
Until then, I think I’ll play MG
Back then you couldn't
That's why getting those 1LP perfect slams was so satisfying, but this 1 guaranteed is a very good QoL
Indeed, pre-season 2, we had no guaranteed affix to pick. As such, actually getting your T7 affix on an 1LP was a 25% chance gamble.
I remember the thrill of slamming 134 (T7) mana on an orian's eye ammy back in season 1. And hitting it. Was also my first and only try since that ammy is a rather rare drop.
Nowadays we get to rage about not getting secondary affixes onto items, and yes, it can sting harshly, but at least you get something out of every high value slam.
Back when Flight of the First Marksman was a top tier build, I slammed t6 flat phys + t5 attack speed on a 2LP Flight of the First. It felt incredible.
Unfortunately phys bow flurry/multishot has fallen off in the modern day
Even if your intent is the play SSF, Is it worth having one MG character as a gold farmer to fund all the storage space needed for keeping exalts and LP bases? Is there something about this approach that I am missing / not considering (wouldnt be trying to perfectly gear this farmer character, just strong enough to do some corruption level increase and gear itself with imperfect pieces)
Or did they ever add a cap to the cost for new storage tabs? Or does it still basically scale infinitely (after 80ish-120 tabs its basically a soft cap and cant buy more because it becomes prohibitively expensive)?
with how i operate all i need is 20-30 tabs, and even then they are half empty
but i only play 1 char so there is that
i only keep stuff potentially usefull to my build or something insane that i dont need just cos i dropped something insane
like 3LP Fundamental Criterion or 4LP Reowyn staff
Ah yeah, I have characters across all 5 classes, and multiple characters with different builds for a few of them.
During a season, I can easily find use of (but not necessarily fill) 70+ tabs. usually playing 1-3 characters sometimes not of the same class which hurts even more
Exalts: 2-4 tabs for each slot, depending on size (fewer needed for belts, more needed for chests or 2handers, combine rings/ammys/relics)
LP uniques: a few tabs
1LPs tabs for turtle rerolls
0LPs for egg rerolls
leveling uniques for more alts
a couple of tabs specific to each character (alternate pieces, LP'd unique items that i plan to use soon but need the right exalt or visa versa, etc; swaps that might get used for bossing vs mapping
a bunch of idols tabs, major class specific idols, medium idols, small idols
sup guys, never played in COF but this season imma play it, does anyone have a good video/link explaining how to optimize my gameplay w the prophecies etc.. thxx
heard COF was nerfed this season too, why?
Hey in early league, what prophecies do you recommand to focus ? Weapons ? Runes ?
@civic grail Some builds need specific Idols to function (think Smite idols that proc on Thrown attacks for Sentinel builds). In that case, farm some Idol prophecies. Other builds scale off of Weapons, then farm those Prophecies. Sometimes you might need a specific Unique to get the build going. You know where I'm going with this. 😅 If you have a specific build in mind, you can add some more info and I can make a better answer for you.
@civic grail some other stuff more people do not take into consideration. While lower value, usually, Rune prophecies do result in the occasional Rune of Creation. While much rarer, Runes of Havoc can be obtained through Prophecies as well: make sure you get a generic Rune Prophecy (drops a bunch of Runes) that involve "killing an Exiled Mage", spec your Tombs to always contain an Exiled Mage (using your weaver Tree) and when you run your Tombs, due to the fact that the Exiled Mage is INSIDE these special areas, the Prophecy can drop Runes of Havoc. Glyph prophecies are also useful early on for Glyphs of Despair, since they are a little bit more rare than other Glyphs and are useful for crafting.
at the end of the day even if u dont specifically do the above, if u plan on playing the char for longer than few weeks
you will have thousands of all of em
get COF rank up, and even on 300-400 corruption they already drop like candy from enemies
I need large idols for my main build. Its just build dependant
COF represent.
Nah, look at your key gear for your build. E.G. I'm gonna play bee bs, so I know on average it takes less than 15 runes of ascendence to get my 2 key set pieces so my early prophecies will be on the build defining uniques until I land them. From there it gets complicated and theres oppourtunity cost whatever you do.
I never do runes or glyphs.
There is reason to do runes every now and again and it's havocs.
i always focus on ring. Red ring greed.
i might go COF this season. RR on MG is just dumb
i just like CoF because it removes the time bomb there is around economy. I can just play whenever i wan't, i'm never late, i don't depend on inflation or some abuse. It's just me
MG gets so scuffed some items dont even show up
people just try to sell them 3rd party
like LP RR
at a certain points its like playing w/ no faction
easier to get off the ground though, get a build started. maybe even mid game.
but by late game, unless you are quick, it's rough
They're roughly equal early on
but getting some very neat gear is much easier (or should i say possible) with merchant, just requires favor.
and patience too, cant forget that
goin back to CoF + Eternal char this szn
agree that MG is dependent on economy and timing of the szn. Despite this idols always made money, and off-meta items were always cheap too.
RR will be worse this season on MG because of imprint nerfs too. Unless the new echo chest changes are absurd
How is COF now? What did they do to us
same old
Cof directly nothing that I seen granted I didn't have a deep read if PNs but imprints did get nerfed so will make it harder to get good 3+lp exalts to slam. Unless the chest changes being affected by rarity make a big difference.
I heard they updated merchants guild a lot? Tbh it felt so unpolished and unfinished like they had forgotten about lol. Did they give it a rework or at least a ton of new options?
I don't think any change to MG can make me swap to it, it's just a miserable experience
yeah im only doing MG if i play a build that doesn't use rr at all.
i might though, LB RM or Ballista Falc. I'll see tomarrow
Wanna just blast and not worry about an item that can possibly never be obtained in a season
hey team, for a new player, is CoF recommended or merchants?
Merch vs CoF is a playstyle and friends question more than anything else. If you have a bunch of friends and you're all on CoF so you can share gear, then definitely that. I like CoF better because I love finding items, hording them, and swapping them out for the better versions, and then every now and then I'll look and say "I should make a build around xyz item that I have" and do that for fun. One of my buddies though gets serious anxiety about having more than 5 stash tabs and so sells everything and loves the Merchants. In general if you love looking up a fun build to play on youtube, copying that and then buying the gear to make it work and going out to play it... Then Merchants is for you. If you enjoy working towards and build and finding all the pieces and then boosting it up as you quest for an ever better item to make that build just a BIT better... Then CoF is for you.
MG allows a good quick start, COF is better for everything else
I got discouraged by cof in szn 1 since all my farming didn't drop what I wanted
With imprinting released - should be better now
Though I still like that every drop has value in MG and it's a linear progression to gearing
Doin cof this time after a hiatus
Yeah I think you just answered my question too cause in Poe I LOVE trade. Couldn’t imagine a world without it
A question better asked in #❔┃ask-the-community , I would say. I personally grew into hating the player market simply because of poe and wanting to just play the game, not the economy sim. As such, CoF is my de-facto choice for every character, even if I did give MG a chance at one point.
That is also a reason I don't wanna do MG ever again, you will eventually find yourself sitting in market for hours looking for items/listing your own stuff instead of playing the game
Granted, prophecy target farming also involves some time spent in the observatory, refreshing prophecies ad nauseum for that one that is of the equipment you want, rarity you want and maybe relevant to the timeline you want to do next. The relevance bit matters, since there's a cap on prophecies held at a time and if you're not careful, you can hit that cap, if one cares about that.
CoF rework due next season... hopefully.
What does that even mean lol like 50% of MG items cost literally favor only, which becomes largely redundant after reaching Rank 12. You only get gold for good/meta items.
Season 1 vs season nearly 4 might have differences, though.
what dont you understand? i was able to rack up sales to get gold to get items i want?
yeah i farmed for a week in szn 1 to get a specific t7 ballista relic (+4) i think that never dropped - hopped onto MG, sold something, and found it
now that imprinting was introduced - i can imprint +4 skill relic something and try my hand on relic prophecies
that and i think the market is gonna suck this season too lol - less players into MG engaged vs previous seasons, less sellers/buyers
IMHO, MG can be good for off-meta or common affixes of pieces of gear of a build, but it is a player market and those are always wonky.
Not to mention that since season 1, we got runes of havoc and woven echoes for crafting.
Season 2 was massive expansion and QoL on the crafting system which benefited CoF immensely.
dont mind me I have a MG aggro trigger, thought u were praising it, getting discouraged and/or bored with it is my personal experience with MG aswell
lol np - MG was sweet when i hit 1 billion in szn2 i think , and i was able to abuse the lightless arbor and reroll boons to get all the havocs i want - rinse and repeat and sell more shit
s3 i think i hit like 400m - and it took a long damn time. I was able to get a RR, imprint it, and sell that to make 1mil per.
MG is only as good as how many players would be playin as you'd be essentially crowdsourcing farming which is cool . I hope im proven wrong and see the #s spike tomorrow at season drop - though i don't think it would hit the 100k mark anytime soon...
exicted to get back into CoF lol
yea in first seasons ppl were more frivolous with spending due to... reasons lol
Nothing happened in lightless Arbor in season 1 :clueless:
honestly i only ever play cof because i hate how prices are influenced by streamers.. not their fault but any player run auction house makes for terrible inflation of items.. i like to just grind along and get the build going 🙂
Especially with a whole discord dedicated to "what items are the most lucrative to farm, what are the current prices, etc." Everyone just 'follows the meta' as it were.
Preference
Also because less players is bad for MG and each season has a big drop off. Last season i had trouble ever finding anything I wanted after 2 weeks and I felt like i wasn't even in a faction
s4 might be worse
The CoF rework will be... fun for MG :p (the one due season 5 or later)
How hard will it be to get The Land Before, Unique Idol on COF?
not hard
Not very I'd bet. Even red rings only took about a day or two of farming.
If you really want an item and start dedicated farming for it, you can blast it out super quickly.
i,m not up to date on some of the farming mechanics as i didn't get to play last season or only played abit at the start. Do you get it from the beast rifts?
The Land Before is random drop.
is it a nerf?
All we know today is that it will "be". The intent is to make it easier to focus prophecies late-game, in what way is TBD.
does it make sense to make a seasonal char if youre not gonna do a MG char this szn
MG sucks
it gets worse every season since less players every season. after a few weeks it ends up dead
is there a good CoF loot filter rec?
yo, any cof tps?
Any COF tp?
What do yalls weaver tree look like. Trying to figure out the best pathing
any nice fellas with a CoF tp :3
Can I get a taxi to CoF from someone please?
LF Taxi to CoF IGN: OmenShade
Could someone taxi me to CoF please? IGN: Tombuko
i path over to NO ARENAS asap and then i grab the ancient bones mobs farm node then dedicate to lizzards and more lizards especially the gaurenteed unique item. then i focus on keys and the dungeon boss loot drops. that should get you somewhere you neeed to be.
Is weather tree locked behind quest or something?
You need to find a Weaver side area or do an entire Weaver echo to unlock it, I don't remember exactly
complete a weaver cemetary and then it unlocks.
Ok thanks
Dis you forget imprints or you just skip them ?
How bad is it if i switch to cof now from MG? Mg is so bad
Only that items marked with one faction cannot be used while in the other faction.
is anyone able to give me a tp to observatory for guild access please? 🙂
Hey anyone could recommend a Weaver tree to go with cof early on ? Ive seen lot of suggestion to focus on exp nodes?
is there a "unique idol" prophecy?
I honestly use some of the exp nodes , especially the chance to double exp from monolith, even on LVL 100, cos it's very easy favor farming
Yes
Could someone give me a lift to CoF please? IGN: Jbkaura
i used to get them but this season... im low prioritizing them idk the wording in the patch notes to me is weird. and last season i got 0 off of my imprints some how.
I see, on a side note, its impossible to imprint set items ? Or it's the corruption that blocks the imprinting ?
I tried the vilatria staff it wouldn't work
what is the best setup of lenses now?
Lol why bad
Corruption prevents imprinting
You can imprint anything non-corrupted, and as long as it's able to drop globally like Vilatria's set, it will work fine
will a ladle work with imprinting
It won't create ladles, just random wands
(ETA - I'm assuming mad ladle, the trash ladle works fine lol)
Ah great thanks
anyone playing hc with a tp to cof?
Can anyone please give me a tp to cof? sc
Thanks mate 👍
also do you need to be in empowered to drop world splitter?
guys i just finished heroborea in divine era, how do i pick circle of fortune?
Act 9, Maj'elka, town, the side area that leads into oasis has the item faction locations.
Anyone know why I lost ranks since the new season? I couldn't find anything in the patch notes about it.
Did you merge from seasonal to legacy?
Need to do that first, then rank should carry over automatically, might need an area change first tho
Yep, that did the trick. Thanks!
Totally forgot about that, apparently. That's also why I was so confused about missing so many things in my tabs.
when do you unlock the thrid lenses slot
Think that was rank 8 or somesuch.
i im rank 8 im i buged
How easy are the drops for T6-7 or double T6-7 this season with proper prophecies?
I only said 8 or somesuch. But 5 is the 2nd and could even be 9 for the 3rd.
I can feel the "nerf" a little but honestly, they are very Common
Best way to "farm" double t7 at the start is imprinting t8 primordial stuff, to get you off the ground,
How do the T8 drop?
u need to buy the primordial rune
Thanks mate!
can i get a specific prophecy for like unique adorned idols, or is it just the random idols(trying to get the primalist companion one)
Anyone know a nice walking simulator build that’s is nice to gear on cof?
there is also the woven Bloodline Glade that drops t8 items and quite often with a t7 suffix/prefix! then if you are missing specific ones after, you can then use the primordial rune.
Warpath is pretty "walking simulator"
ghostflame warlock
its not walking tho, its the fastest non teleport thing in the game
warpath is 😛 but I am not sure how to gear until this meta.
Auick question lads can we get wings of argentus from prophecies?
you cant prophecy boss drops.
Aright thank you
When I have a prophecy that says "complete a dungeon," can I skip with a portal charm to the boss and it will complete the prophecy or do I have to complete the entire dungeon?
Yeah, you can portal charm. Killing the boss = completing the dungeon
What do you consider makes a build bad to gear in CoF?
I assume they just mean they want an easy build to gear in general
Which Warpath is in any case
hard to get, boss drops only. such as several uber abby drops
to get started
First Time Merchants guild user... Is there no way to search a item by name?
wrong channel.
no builds require uber drops.
there are builds that require boss drops though.
WP is a walking simulator but you need to keep a button pressed. -> works without LP uniuques but not the fastest
time rot with orbiting dev orbs is it too, but you need to press other buttons for bosses and elites
hm
LOLOL... I clicked on COf out of habit I think...
judgement aura is a walking sim but you need to activate the spell every 12 sec with a cast sequence
does it scale infinitely with gear?
gear upgrades*
okay i just noticed that my filter is hiding t7 and t8 exalts even tho anything with t6+ is supposed to shiow
wtf
WP is one of the best builds in the game
with gear
oh ok
last question, does wp charge up? like if i hold down does it get stronger and stronger? what if i loot does the charge up restart?
it charges up in end game, over 10 sec then it hits a cap.
you don't need the charge up for random white mobs
ah ok!
Outside of high corruption, whats the fastest way to rank up CoF?
shrine woven
Yes it is
It's in the unique section menu at bazaar
at which level you open 3rd slot for lenses
when does the third lens unlock? it doesnt seem to mention them on the progress track for the guild
level 9
is there like a spreadsheet of all the reward increases for cof?
like when it says 150% increased chance of boss drops. whats the new chance
doesn't that depend on the item drop chance in the first place? you generally get more chance, but each item is different
It doesn't directly increase the chance of boss drops, it just makes the boss do its drops twice with a 50% chance of a third time. You can look up each boss drop chance in a database like LE Tools.
Is there anyway to increase mono boss specific drops? Are there any blocking combinations or what ever to help?
Pretty much just the rank rewards and whatever is specific for that boss.
For mono bosses, upping corruption and rarity modifiers helps. TunkLab has calculators and graphs to show the effects of various things.
Very true, once you get to empowered version of timelines, the quests go away and it's just the boss fight, much better
is there a sweet spot for farming t7 affixes? in terms of corruption levels
I think the more corruption the better for t7s
The sweetspot should be the one your char feels comfortable with 🙂
fast clear with bit lesser chance -> slow clear with more chance
even with my just 400 corr, i drop 2t7 quite often, 2t7+t6 as well
That's crazy. I'm sitting at 500+ corruption and Ive had trouble finding t7+t6 for my upgrades
same, huge chore
I have a question for prophecies please, does the reward scale on my character level or the area/corruption level?
anyone has a list of where to find each mob type?
scales on area
Does a boss count as a rare enemy for a prophecy to be fulfilled?
No, but champions are rare enemies
Curious, is it only for uniques drop lvl? Cuz some of my prophecies i completed in acts for siege golem for ex, gave me exalted with 2 T6+ and 40+ FP
It still gives you exalts based in your prophecy level, but for example doing it in T1 julra yields far lesser chance at t7, FP is also lower on average, and much less likely to be double exalted
this helps, but it's clear that not all mob types have equal spawnrates depending on the timeline monolith, is there a source of where rare mobs are commonly found?
hey! anyone know a good place to find siege golems for the prophecies?
Siege golems should be variants in any timelines that feature Divine era stuff, most notably Black Sun, but really even Ending the Storm has them.
Fastest favor farm?
not sure if fastest, but favour caches is pretty good
tyty
New this season, what are some tips you have to farm the same unique? I’m playing the maxroll bladedancer. I have the traitors tongue in 2 slots in bottom right and the other right above it in the weaver tree.
So do I just keep farming reign of dragons with them in those slots in the weaver tree? And just buy prophecies that drop unique daggers?
If you have the imprints and the dagger uniques prophecy its just all you really need. Farming the daggers in the monoliths helps, but after that its just pure RNG. Make sure to imprint higher Legendary Potential items so you can have higher chance at dropping highr LP
any way to farm weaver uniques easier with CoF? i need inheretence of the erased? not sure if putting it in my weaver tree imprints or grabbing amulets prophecies would help tho
Some weaver unique is boss drop only
Do I need to kill lagoon before I can chose CoF or can I skip this part of the story somehow?
you can always go for monos first then go back to chapter 9 after getting a temporal sanctum key
red ring - i put like 50k currency into unique ring drops at monos and fulfilled them all in age of winter timeline, not a single ring. is there any min corruption or whatever?
Red ring is pretty rare. I’ve gone hundreds of thousands of currency before getting a red ring.
need a bit more than 50k for a red ring
can also go for cof tagged rings with rune of ascendance
it's like mageblood in POE, you could got no one after a whole season
mageblood is waaaaay rarer
it's not even mageblood tier. I just got 3 red rings in 460k favor
Just leaving this here.
Mike, when asked if we would get a prophecy reroll hotkey:
Probably not, we're reworking the whole system so you don't have to spam reroll.
#👨┃ask-the-devs-not-support-no-bugs message
Triple omen windows are great for proh, it spawns so many types, champions etc... I dont even complete the windows I just keep it there and intentionally die
is there a way to show prophecy text without mousing over one at a time?
alt to show rewards doesn't seem to do anything
Whats the best lens setup for red ring chance. I assume unique - ring - double items. Close to rank 12 and looking to go for it then
And also what prophecies should I go for?
To make it more consistent
I do unique/ring/only monos. Go for anything that is not specifically aimed at bosses from the region i dont run, and i never pick 1lp unique profecies, the price stupid overpriced
But be ware they are super rare, even spaming prophecies be ready for a grind
I got a random drop of one in season 2 and just imprinted for the rest so this will be my first time attempting prophecies for it
Yeah, imprinting is giga nerfed for anything besides common uniques so... prophecies ftw
Yeah I heard lol. Oh well, here's hoping. 200k more rep to grind and then Im off to roll the prophecies
How are u farming ur favour? Im doing folly + lost temples cause idk better
That's pretty much the best way afaik
Even common unqiues dont proc likr I have 4t7 boots 99.9% of procs will always be 1 lp boots since devs just made it use same formula as exalted so 4t7 exalted only drops 1t7 exalts 99.9 % of the time,so imprints are mega dead and useless
even common uniques.... 4LP army of skin boots wont proc 2LP boots...... as for favor anything omen wont give favor/resonance in group play
Red Ring is a global drop, LE has no "timeline specific drops" (other than the boss drops), nor do the timelines increase drop rates of global drops. What you read from the wiki is misleading tbh.
There is also no corruption requirement for global drops.
On average iirc it takes around 200k favor for RR drop, depending on lenses user and how picky you are on prophecy conditions.
yeah but favor has been nerfed hard also and harder to get.
What
run omen of veil etc,, look at favor, it doesnt go up, and in party play zero resonance.
you run any omen content on an echo no favor/resonance.
I didn't have time test yet but that's really ass
troves used to be a great way to get favor with great monster density resonance etc. Really promoted party play.
so you'd trove and do prophecies get some imprints. party play is ass now.
To be fair, with troves existing in that state if you were that minmaxed prophs probably weren't even worth the time
they still were! propechies gave us a bunch of great 3LP boots etc
For uniques yea true, exalts not so much
yeah exalts they sucked but if you targetted rings/amulets + armor/boots... super good.
so a lot of great sources of finding loot has been destroyed, i tested and found nothing.
omen loot is pretty terrible and doesnt make up for the loss of all the other destroyed ways.
Good thing I rolled MG then, lmao
oh 100% MG is better.
AlwaysHasBeen.jpg
I cant restart as MG now, my tabs full of gear that is COF
EHG really needs to fix this as there are a lot of legacy players.
Yep I learned that having 2 factions in a season is pretty rough.
The ramping tab money cost doesnt care if your first 30 tabs are for COF
MG tab 1 is still tab #31
yeah, I said my part on the loot and the system, more people need to speak up for it to be fixed.
That, and sorting faction tagged, non faction tagged, non tagged + tradeable, vs non tagged + non tradeable, etc.
I mean there was a serious issue, I do admit, and EHG did a great job fixing the 1LP to 2LP gap etc,but they created another problem now. after you hit the 1LP + corrupt. It's hard to get anything better.
1LP to 2LP gap feels larger to me now
i mostly see 1t7 drops now rarely 2t7s.
Yeah and T7+T5 is much higher effort than T7, for a relatively small boost vs 1T7 with good rolls and decent corruption
there is a balance issue at hand and you complete the game, so did I and others. This affect mostly players who finished the game and want to make more than 1 character.
I really like this game frozen I really do, but I am not grinding this much, and moving onto a new game 🙁
Is it though? You can already get guaranteed 1LPs before you even get to empowered
Thats by far the largest plateau
yeah but end game is terrible for me and others, it peaks and stops.
there is nothing to chase or get as it's behind so much RNG.
I just wish it was more incremental with power progression
I agree with this 1.3 was more incremental.
1.4 is RNG party fest now.
But even intermediary smaller steps in progression feel like a waste of time when that step doesnt enable me to do any harder or more rewarding content anyway
Like why should I spend ages getting a small upgrade for a slot, when I could just work towards my final upgrade at a similar pace
I cant even find 2t7s to slam into 2LP or 3LP boots anymore because the grind and 2t7s are non existant or corrupted and you cant use corrupted at julra.
I dont think multi t7s needs to be "the answer" necessarily
I do agree there was a power creep but it was dialled so far back it feels terrible.
But there should be something bridging 1T7 to the next thing
Or 1t7s are too accessible
they didnt just nerf imprints etc they murdered it useless, murdered prohpecies and favor and group play.
and to add a mechanic that doesnt even give that great of loot...
enchantments wouldve been great, where you choose what you want so it isnt RNG>
you then farm the enchantment crystals and pop it on the item.
so yould have say lesser enchaments for 1LP greater enchantment crystal for 2LP and maybe godly enchantment for 3LP and anything 4LP no enchantment allowed?
would allow a really nice transition but also limit the power creep. or even just let the enchantments be for 1 and 2 LP max.
Oh wow thanks. So basically I can take any prophecie with unique rings to potentially drop red ring? Good to know!
I've found 4 red rings in the past 2 days from prophecies and maxed out COF at ~200 corruption
i dont know how the favor gain was in the last season... but i still got 90k--ish favor from just few omen veils i tagged along for with a group of 4,
granted it was 1600 corr
You get it from killing the omens but all the mobs spawned give 0 xp
That being said if I spam a bunch I get almost no favor when I would had half favor full by spamming troves for like 3 hours
In 1.3
IIRC favor farming should be in the 250k/hour ballpark, at least based on the few tests I did at 1000c with a fairly strong character, testing echo runs, mage resetting, etc.
Frozen, they told me you were the go to guy for CoF questions, i got the following:
What's the most efficient ways to buy prophecies? Farming red ring and i have unique lense, ring lense and reduced activities outside mono lens. Would that be the best?
Would be cool to see some stats about but I dont reset same map over and over ,by just mapping with this new content i aint getting 250k favor an hour . Specially when we are kinda obliged to spam veils in group.
I hate MG , the stall system is so stupid
if you are just farming favor at 250k/H that is 4 hours, that is a lot of grinding. in season 3 with troves you had favor + good drops from imprints. Current system is just too grindy.
if the entire goal to was make the game more grindy, mission successful. The game was grindy enough in 1.3 with better loot, now the loot is sub par and grindier.
favor scales with experience so in reality 1000c vs 1600c favor gain isnt that big of a difference.
and a lot time lower corruption is faster because you can kill way faster.
I have several videos on this, but probably Wealth Rhyme and Ring or Block Mono / Block Non Mono / Wealth.
Accessory telescope has very few reward types so you dont need double targeting lenses. Also most events are already generic or Mono, so Block non Mono alone is not very useful.
Appreciate that and will definitely check out the video, thanks for the answer!
Im just saying if your goal is specifically farming favor you should probably expect at least that much if minmaxing. Strategy that does other stuff too may be a bit less
Yep. You get full XP scaling from 100c to 300c, then 25% XP from 300c to 1000c, then 5% XP from 1000 on.
300c is about 280% XP, 1000c is about 480% XP, 1600x is about 510% XP, so not even double vs 300c. I don't think 3 omens is giving 90k favour.
new to LE - took circle of fortune as my faction - is there any recommended guide/place i can learn on how this faction works
Feeling entitled to more than 250k/hour is insane to me
Did I mention entitlement or anything? I am specifically voicing my opinion. There are paremeters etc you want not understand or a situation by purely accusation of entitlement is completely unfair. I just said current system is too grindy, nothing else.
You may disagree but please ask for information and situation first before a very direct accusation, thanks.
Entitlement is too strong a word and doesn't match your comment. Despite that, 250k/hour is insanely high, to me. The vast majority of the playerbase is getting a small fraction of that and content
did you ever come to think that I am able to because I have a character than can clear insanely fast to achieve it? Which I do. I am not the average player.
I'm...struggling with that comment. It is so stupid
Why do you think I'm confused about how you are achieving 250k/hour. That's not related to anything I said in any way
that is your opinion and i respect it, I also have my opinion. So we can disagree but we can also have a civil discussion about why I think this why and I am glad to answer.
I appreciate you trying to dial back the attitude. I'm being rude and it's not warranted. I'm sorry about that
You're certainly entitled to your opinion. But I'll just say that it comes off as a bit...I don't know, like a billionaire complaining about taxes
In any case, I don't think 250k/hour is the problem, here
The key issue I am running is ill be straight the loot rewards are lack luster end game and was severely punished end game players.
I do agree rewards are too much with implemented corruption as it causes power creep with 1.3 standards, but they dialed it way to far back.
https://www.lastepochtools.com/profile/Vuthia/character/Unholyslayer
This is my character, I can achieve a lot which an average player isn't even close to.
There needs to be a better medium to solve power creep without just nerfing multiple loot systems to the ground and useless.
I just dont want to play if if have to grind endlessy for basically zero good loot.
There is no entitlement or anything, I was just providing a super rough ballpark as some sort of framing for upper bounds of what min maxers would expect
I wouldnt expect an average player to get remotely close to that
The exact number isnt important, just so you know that 25k/hour is extremely low and 1M/hour is not happening without some sort of exploit
No, I was just saying looking at 250k/ hour as an upper limit and saying "thats not high enough" seems like entitlement.
Which isn't what you were saying
Oh I missed that part
To be fair its far less than we got in S0
With weaker characters
COF top end was giga nerfed and a lot of the new stuff didnt really scale with COF bonuses fully
If you doubled the favor gain rate today without the QOL stuff EHG has been talking about for S5 I think I'd lose my shit spending even more time rerolling prophs though lmao
I just want EHG to implement a better power scaling system.
To accomadate new players and end game players.
as of now end game power scaling is dead and it sucks ass.
Power vs content progression yea, it feels weird that there is "only" a 10x hp/damage difference between a fresh 100c and "probably overpowered unintended" at 1000c
it took a lot of hours 100hours to even get good gear upgrade in 1.3 for a character after crafting and julra and all the fails end game. It was not easy.
now that turned into basically never.
But you are talking about levels of progression that the game was never balanced around. You pushed a dynamic system beyond its intended "stopping point"
Also in COF youd need to farm a 3LP item which was very time consuming, so the grind was there and but the possibility of an upgrade was there making it, hey ill do it. Now there is no point.
I could be wrong but I don't think EHG was planning on players actually farming 3T7 items
That is fair, but it was still workable.
So is 4T7 RR, in theory, but workable is subjective
why was it dialled back to only 1t7s dropping then?
I mean I get it 3t7s should be more rarer but now i dont see any 2t7s at all and super rare.
Same with 2t7s
Thats where we as minmaxers set our expectations
It is arbitrary
either way the game was created and players adapated, once you implement something, there should be comprimise even if it wasnt intended.
I think they shouldn't have let it remain in that state for so long
they shouldve fixed it sooner then, and not let it stand to be normal.
We need a rework, but we shouldn't just make any accidenral excess power creep permanent every time it happens
Yep thats fair
you get a player base who buys skins supports the game puts time into a system you let stay, then dial it back because you failed to keep your standard?
that is hardly the players fault.
But you willing to put 200+ sweaty grind hours into a character will always have expectations beyond "intended", unless LE turns into PoE
sure, everyone is different.
i can be happy i didnt live in the busted imprint Era, but even so just playing for few days, even i can tell its completely fcking useless
Its far from useless
it gives 1t7 as they intended and 1LPs
issue now is they let it slide for too long, and now the gap is so big people are upset.
yea but as a CoF player, thats pretty useless to me
i drop T7 stuff like candy
just running monos
Imprint high roll range uniques then and get pre rolled ones
Like unstable core
Imprints definitely did benefit MG more than COF though, since a lot of the COF perks didnt really scale with imprints the way you would expect
im sorry but what does that mean/do
Either way, LE needs to be very clear on their game direction to the public in the future updates and what they intend to do. This affects players who spent a lot of time investing in this game with older power systems.
If a COF player and an MG player both imprinted a 2T7 item, then proc it 10000 times, they would get almost exactly the same number of 2T7s out
Since they did not correct the power creep early enough.
besides funilly enough having 300 hours in the game, the only unstable core i dropped was from an omen and its corrupted
i never dropped that item naturally
It'll rain from prophecies if you want it
Propechies are a great way to get them, then in 1.3 it was imprint...
isnt it mad alchemist drop only?
What? Thats a spoon
No
exiled mage
then its weird i never dropped one
my filter shows all uniques
Im MG this season, not even close to 300 hours in and I've dropped quite a few already
ill get some prophecies and see
I just hope LE confirms what they are going to do and or make the game balanced for power from new players to end game. As it affects if I want to play anymore or even suppor the game.
currently im focused on getting 2LP Foot of the mountain slammed...
Granted, not all hours played are made equal
If you spend most of your time rerolling alts you probably won't drop one
Its high level req
i play single char and me being no clue what im doing in s1 when i bought the game i also set it to solo stash
(Just an example)
so all those random cool 4LP Uniques collection i have are just there for decor
anyway, back to the mountain boots grind.. getting them rolled to +12 all is a pain
@compact folio also a question.. how much mana do u have with that set up lol
1400
jesus
The only entitlement I as a player have and feel is that with time I hope for the game to become better not a total rng mess that doesn't care about players time ,imprints were good but if you think they made you op in 10 hours you were wrong I just failed like 12 julra 2 lp 2t7 slams on a spirit xylem do you think I am getting that again in this season no,cause ground loot has always being kinda crap, same thing with new mechanic oh drop very good exalt but is corrupted so can't do anything with it
The fact after 2 years barely anything has been done, and cof is still miles behind mg is insane, the fact that gotta wait 7 months for a rework to prophecies is baffling ,you cannot drop exalts anymore to min max your characters
they basically radically fixed an issue that shouldve been fixed 2 years ago.
And I personally love the nerfs to cof, like xp scaling, the books, nerfs, imprints,oh and this league the omens give basically 0 xp when you kill the mobs spawned so 0 favor and resonance
Im just saying that maybe you shouldn't expect 2t7 legendaries to be the solution to loot. Its just one possible solution but not the only possible solution
A normal player does the objectives on the map idk why its so hard to expect new mechanic to be rewarding like in poe
Solution is the wrong word
it isnt the solution, but if you implement nerfs to say 2t7 drops make it so crafting is easier.
True but 1 lp is gurantee meaning that gearing takes 5 second and you done with the game quite boring if you ask me
current meta is you get 50 exalts and only 1 work...
100% agree. Yes I want it to be more dynamic somehow
I dont even like guaranteed 1LP for this reason
Its not dynamic
1LP RR =/= 1LP Kestral
They shouldn't be treated the same
I 100% agree with this statement.
Frozen ngl I expect 2 months minimum to get back maybe 10 staffs exalted I lost like that better play offline
I will assume you have a better relation with the devs than I do, maybe you can work with them to make it help align with different player types.
I know we play differently, but this needs to be solved.
I dont want to quit this game, but it sure feels like i should.
When Mike tell me maybe oversight or just to avoid exploit that mobs give no xp from omens like I feel like yo common I play cof gimme something at least, grinding altars and omen when many drop like bad mostly is rough and I am not gonna even start about why an acolyte can roll bow damage corruption on its idols🤦
Why do you think you deserve those 2t7 staffs though? You weren't supposed to have those in the first place. Maybe we could work towards a system where they are an intended path of progression
Cause I can
You could*
if they can help make the loot rewarding and progessive, it will be different as of now it's dog doo doo.
I cant even gear an alt as it's grindy with 1 LP corrupts.
I am not disagreeing with you that we need better and more substantial progression, I just think we need a lot more stuff before the power progression we had from imprints begins to remotely make sense
Like content difficulty progression
Why have a 4lp system if the intention is to just play the broken build of the patch and pne shot uber
Just play 1 lp and beat uber and just leave
there are a lot of respectable opinions and point of views here, just need a better progression to reward end game players and transition from new player to end game.
there is no reward for endgame characters farming
This game has 2 more seasons in it I hope they blow the water the next ones, julra making the game worse than what it should
at this rate maybe even 1 season.
Is this doomer chat?
EHG has a lot to fix and needs to listen to their playerbase, they failed to make prophecies easier and just simple QOL stuf that shouldve been fixed ages ago.
I just saw your account and was wondering, you have a 4LP world splitter, howmuch was it? Online it says its a 1/400m chance lol
it is a 3LP + corrupt
holy shit very nice
I spent a lot of hours grinding to get really insane gear in 1.3.
you can see why I feel the loot really terrible now, when I spent a lot of hours to collect all the 3t7s from nemesis, group play etc.
this is a small majority granted, but it what got me interested to play the game to grind the crazy gear.
not just mirror items but even 5/6 or 4/6 items that are harder to make than a simple LP 1 + T7 suffix
but the jump to trying LP2-3 is just not it
game is joever is not what i like to hear after coming back after all this time 😔
but this corruption system really just wants to make u quit
and they talk about player retention lmao
there is a lot of rpgs that are almost as old as me and still a ton of people play them, cos they are actual good games, this game is good, i like it, but this season really seems like a gut punch to everyone still playing it
I had fun getting to LP 1 + 7 then kill uber but after that I just can't get myself to keep playing
Wish it would last me longer this game than just 5 days - 1 week
Look you can have fun not gonna tell you won't but like the amount of extra grind to make a 2 lp with a corruption that you want its straight up impossible and this is coming from people who got 4t7 gear and still cant get exalts from natural drops,1t7 meta corruption is play for a week ,either do same thing for how many characters you going to play or just leave, there is no min max allowed as of right now which is a detriment to what an arpg is
Corruption was fun but like trying to divine all the LP 1 uniques it's not fun 💀 some wovens would be better if they are a rune for crafting whenever we want
Damm shame if you ask me cause I am part of a cof group, and since last epoch has no guilds this is my guild, very fun to play with others makes any grind a lot better but not really a point for this anymore and people barely play after trying it out new league,
To be fair, you are listening to probably the 0.1% complaining about minmaxing
Us who did farm full 2T7+ gear is not normal, nor the target audience
I wouldn't let our complaints about the super super end game ruin your experience, the journey comes before the destination
yo i just came across your guys talk about the endgame, and i do share some opinions from you, i also view certain changes to the endgame as negative in terms of long time play motivation. i also posted a suggestion in #suggestions for that, basically my idea would be that the random corrupted items that drop from omens could be used for slaming uniques. included to that would be the 5th corrupted affix, so it's somewhat more riskier, but also makes omen more interesting in the late game. as well as having a source for multi exalted items. but it's still not as reliable as the imprints since you can't modify these items. i think that might be a perfect middle ground, and would also allow for some interesting items.
your guys complaining is nonsense you should flesh out your idea before you start yapping
a lot of this is describing 'arpg fatigue' and not real design flaws with the game
I rather not white knight stuff since ehg needs to improve a lot to remain competitive
When poe launched the temple and the loot was godawful people were very vocal and they changed it then went on vacation while ultra buffing the mechanic of the season thus people went hard on them ,rather complain than accept mediocrity
and who are you i may ask? I see myself as the customer, and since I m the one who is putting the money on the table I may also voice my opinion. L mindset buddy
who tf are you. Im not talking to you buddy
Are you mad?
losing some weight rn almost done
Very important to loose weight thats great
you are a paying customer and input is always great, your idea may be tough to implement on a coding side thought, and easier solutions can be achieved with much less coding.
i could not image this being a coding challenge only if they have really janky setup for the affixes and stuff and can't manage to put a 5th in there
but at the end it's just a concept to make endgame grind more interesting since i m already kinda bored
there is not one item going to drop that will make me go hype
yep, I just log into slam gear now, I may be wrong and i havent seen the game code but coding issues and making it happen can be tough.
there is but it is far too rare to commit.
a 4t7 can still drop etc but all that has been pushed basically will never happen.
sure there is, but the game cycle with grinding nemesis to get good items for imprints and then grinding those was just good. with the addidtion of corrupted item this could ve been a very good expansion on this grind but why add new feature for grinding if you remove the other system 🦐
I agree with this, but we gotta wait 7 months for next patch if I am still even interested. as of now my character is finished got the last major piece 😛
sadge
literally look at the insanity of the gear.
basically as good as you can realistically get without going into ultra rare crazy stuff that is virtually impossible to get
what baffles me is their explanation why they removed it
"it was never desgined to be that strong/reliable" like who cares, it's fun, it gives me something to do
I do understand why, they never intended to have 2t7s 3t7s so common.
The issue lies in... why would you not fix this sooner if it was a not apart of the game design you wanted?
you let the meta settle in for 2+ years then you strip it down to 1t7 + corrupt. that is the question
and hardcore imprint farming with high lp would 've come after all that
so it would be a good transition in getting gear
If you intended the game to be a certain way, it shouldve been enforced long ago.
still i dont get why they just end the progression after 1t7 + corrupt now
yep, most likely investor pressure.
how so?
EHG was bought out.
to make a season last shorter?
ik, but i cant find a logical reason behind the descision if so
I dont understand why also, but there was pressure from somewhere to make the change.
Idk why they say 0.1% of thr player base gets affected by the imprint nerfs when you go to today forum post and there are like 4-5 post of imprint nerfs of a total of 12 rofl
even straight up removing it is crazy, not even offering a different system like the corrupted slams i proposed
You wont understand, the management and investors came up with this idea. We not agree, but they ultimately own the game and can drive the direction. Only way you can have a real change is voice your opinion with everyone else and hope it aligns, and or buy the entire game and make the changes you'd like.
and with the removal of that content this season feels so sparse, there are some cool corrupted affixes i guess, but why not add dmg conversion for every weapon into every element, that would offer so much content and would be so easy.
All valid points but ultimately as a company they must appease investors, and try to listen to the players who pay.
they own the game yes, but they want to sell it to US, and for that they should aim for making it better or am i missing something? xd
yeah, You can only play the game and voice your opinion, if you dont like the direction, sadly just play another game.
i already did, i give it one + point that you can actually somewhat reliable interact with the devs in this game
how much of an impact that is is another thing tho
i just bought crimson desert today, so i m going to play this until now i guess xd
i really do hope they can 'fix' their game, since it's the only arpg i play
oh no someone built a minmaxed character, ehg should delete crafting
yeah, i dont get it. id be show casing crazy builds players made and what they accomplished,
it should be an honor that people want to min max and play and min max a character, it just show cases you have a good game.
deleting the crafting would make the league last 10 hours instead of 20 hours
I dont have the metrics and kpi's to see what they see. It is just heresay they see the budget and the impact of what they developed.
Imprints haven't been around for 2+ years
They started in 1.2 so like 1 year ago ty to ehg
Long enough time to fix stuff that they didn't like
People forget that objective truth doesn't care about your "customers rights"
What people mostly forget is how we buy the right to play a game that is made by someone(developer/whatever). The right to use a product, as it were, not the right to the product itself. You can argue to having been lied to about the product, but it won't hold water when we're talking about a one time payment for access as long as the servers are online.
This would be selection bias though
Same with reddit, youtube comments, discord, etc.
We definitely are the minority, though maybe you could argue that the chase of these items has some positive influence on those who aren't immediately in that demographic, I kinda doubt it in this case
I personally believe the more time goes ,the more people will see how bad new system is ,cause season just started a lot of omg lets try this and that dont look at any negatives and such mentality.
So far 1.4 seems worse and plays worse than 1.3 idk for 7 months of work was expecting a more
I think a notable keyword has been used: Expectations. Expectations are our own, since nobody is wired to your brain to for you to expect this or that in any forceful manner. So, whose fault is it for ambiguously overblown expectations, then?
The devs bud its always the devs
Loot being bad aint on the player ,its on the person who makes the game, when another famous arpg has bad loot people bash it ,so they know next league better come with a great league in terms of gameplay or loot or a fix to it mid league at least .
Yes, of course it's someone else's fault for our own failings that no developer ever had anything to do with in the first place, but they get to take the blame. Ok, moving on.
Its all good grim dawn gonna blow the water likr always does when next expansion comes
my stash tab price has outpaced my gold income to "only t7's for item types i actually use" pick up rate 😛
feelsbadman
a lot of it is probably because i pick up a lot of idol shapes i'll never end up using cuz i don't want to miss out but i don't know what idol cominations i'm actually going to have
Get the gold blessing legit op you will have so much gold you wont have problems
And probably still works with bones tech so double bonus
where is that one at
First monolith timeline the abomination one
In the weaver tree you have zerrick aid which is op as well combined with gold blessing
yea i had the zerrick aid
i took everything in the weaver that gave more gold, and all the nodes that spawn more champions
since they give more gold too
are there any items that are good for farming gold? maybe i can squeeze one in lol
got 70% first try 🙏
can i just like restart echos over and over to spawn zerrick and then finish the echo or something like that?
I think you can but not sure
Just dont complete the echo
does he like show up as soon as you open the echo?
He should yes
and other arpg's all have a few years experience in todays age. i get the frustration it frustrates me but its still "expectations" you expect certain things and riot (not you but in general) if you dont get them or the more common one is that people compare arpgs more than they should. street fighter and tekken are both side scrolling fighter games (older games) but you wouldnt expect scorpion to be balanced or have a similar kit/feel to ryu or something would you? players are meshing all arpg too close together then getting sad when it isnt what they expected. IMO no arpg has felt good recently to me because im also guilty of roping all ARPG too close together
i also dont think loot in this game is bad i think theres too many ways to get the loot so it doesnt feel as rewarding that i would say is my grevience with the game but its hard finding that line in this specific game (every games loot ceiling is different based on the theme and such)
the aquirement may have also diluted some of it
See i have had fun here and also in other places ,this game is good but it has a ton of flaws that barely or never get addressed, not because we enjoy something means we shouldnt complain about its issues i love Bethesda games but starfield was so bad not even a joke, meanwhile oblivion remastered was excellent so easy buy and a win in general
Season 1.4 is miles behind 1.2 and behind 1.3 the new merchant is completely useless sells 1 omen and I guess the bones ,meanwhile at least primordials were cool had use
not saying dont complain but when the complaints is from players own expectations thats when the complaints dont have as much validity
And I would know about ground loot, since its not great by any means I have player for a week how many useful 2 hand axes I dropped in reality 0
lets move to off topic as this isnt really the channel for it
I mean what validity more you want you cannot farm exalts in any capacity nowdays thats not on us ,go play endgame of 1.4 and you will see
By the way corrupted exalts are nice for campaign but for endgame quite useless 99% of the time but hey everything works just works well
i agree, ground loot is absolutely useless for anything thats not a 1T7 1LP Unique
either u get graced by nemesis gods or ur never getting a good item to craft on/slam
i am a minmaxer myself, i just couldnt play for s2s3 cos i had no PC that could handle the game
i dont even play a broken build
now tho.. i do plan on swapping to light blast runemaster,
your toaster could handle this game
Thank you
what woven echo's do you find best to spend amber on this season? and what farm strat are you all running?
whats the best way to be farming favour this patch?
kill stuff
this was brought up before
- at least 300 corruption and pushing corruption up to 1000 as favor scales experience, as does resonance. Past 1000 corruption inceased experience on scaling drop off rapidly with little return.
- killing faster per minute, so a character that AOE clears fast and moves fast is ideal. Warpath is an example of a build, but other builds will do great also.
- avoid omen content as it currently doesnt doesnt drop favor/resonance.
yep kill speed and corruption is all it really comes down too.
Weaver tree has a node for favor caches to spawn (drops books of favor like exp books) there's a woven echo that spawns a bunch of caches I usually get one in each of the runs. also i dont know if it still works but exp tomes also used to (might have stopped since favor tomes was added)
Gotta fix this, u cant be squishy in this game
Ranged mobs are elite snipers in this game, either u tank or u play on lower corruption
how much daggers prophecies on average to get traitors tongue?
hi guys, Is there a reroll button in Circle of Fortune? Or just click?
you been shortcut to not click reroll in prophecy window? No, gotta click
ty bro
If I have a unique gloves with legendary affix throwing damage, and I put it on imprint.
Am I more likely to drop gloves with throwing dmg affix?
You will drop mostly unique gloves, and some normal, magic and some random rare gloves if the imprinted unique is high rarity (high reroll chance). So no
it seems there's basically no point imprinting multi t7 exalteds this season
unless lucky of course but imprints feel like it barely procs now even after many many hours
I mean you will get 1 proc with actual 2t7 at least after a week or a lot of playtime like a lot,but yeah quite dead and useless imprints
that's kinda upsetting. i agree maybe it was too strong last season but its definitely too weak this season. we need a middle ground
They gave us nothing and the corrupted exalts are very bad for gearing once you go into monos ,you cant use then for slamming so what's the point in the endgame play
To be fair imprint it was the only way you had to power through julra bs without pretty much done no gear progression no matter the grind
imprints got nuked
That is possibly the only take I can get behind on the matter. They had to be adjusted down, but that does not imply they were not adjusted too far down.
Considering they only nerfed imprint proc rate by half but multi t7 by something like 90%, while having corrupts as a source of pseudo 2T7s makes me think this was directly targeted at 2T7 legendaries being the king of every slot, and maybe even readjusting the unique vs exalt power.
Whether or not this was a successful way to achieve that is still to be determined, but they did state the exalt vs legendary rebalance goal, and how corruption as a mechanic moves towards that goal.
is troves still the best way to proc imprints?
I love the datamining coming in so I would have been ok with proc rate being halved but the way way less multiple exalted affixes is godawful for players progression and literally just incentives the 1t7 corr play which is basically finish campaign arrive to empowered monos and just corrupt your 1 lp t7 and quit
I gotta say having to mega grind conquered tower for actual exalts is way way worse than just running troves as a meta
Also corrupted exalts not being able to get used on julra slam is baffling ,less loot for the players
Question would a 2t7 with a corrupt t7 act as a 3t7 item for the imprints because this could be a way to get more 2t7
Corrupted items cannot be imprinted, methinks. At least it would not let me do it with uniques/legendaries that were corrupted.
You cant imprint corrupted exalts
so question what is the use of no longer needed corrupted uniques
gauntlet of strife is pretty much it
Y Game done for me, no way to grind endgame, sadge
question: does area level affect what items prophecies can drop or is it based on character level?
Neither, it's always level 100
Nemesis
You want high corruption for exalts in nem anyway
what is the best lens combo to try find red rings? new to cof, normally play mg
Monolith + ring, third is somewhat optional
Either you use the unique one or x110% cost for double to speed things up which is arguably better
I use focusing and obscuring lens of time to just get generic prophecies you can complete anywhere, plus the lens for rings
only using the lens for monolith objectives means you get an obnoxious amount of "kill this specific timeline boss"
Yes, but that is also the fastest way to finish the prophecies
Because the stability increasing keys exist
The only monolith related ones I personally stopped doing is "Kill diamond matron/giant scorpion/siege golem" as they're just RNG and eat more time
There's something almost poetic about having 800 runes drop at the same time because a lot of prophecies got backlogged and forgotten because Diamond Matrons are so goddamn rare. Though the poetic justice is walking out with maybe 30 havocs
Do general rune prophecies help for havocs? Haven't tried yet, only got mine from here and there and a bunch of uberroth
yes the runex22(when you have the 110% lens) does give havocs. one of the best ways though is focus rift beats with rare rune affix for your lineage
naturally, when you drop 44 runes per prophecy proc (rank 12), there is a good chance to gain some havocs out of it. It's low, so it only matters in statistical quantities, really.
Ah yea the rift beast one is op
Had one where the very first mutation was rare runes.. God bless him
And yes, rare runes off of rift beast is best, but good luck getting one of those as options to boot.
The prophecies are more consistent, in a sense.
i wonder if they are corruption influenced because i see them quiet often
yeah best option is to do both at the same time for sure
Could be. I'm currently hanging around 600, capped my current build as I shifted into preparing gear for bees and I have trouble settling for anything less than 2 LP slams with the right affixes slammed and exlats with the right affixes and tiers :p
To say that I guzzle up havocs is to put it lightly.
600 damn
Redemptions too, since they can at times work.
thankfuly i just got past that part. now im just praying for 76's or 77's to drop for me to havoc haha
I tend to just brick those while trying to roll affixes or runes of removal when I just get fed up.
Have you mostly been doing rune prophecies?
Good bye my 6 body armors with T7T6 that died due to preparation...
Havocs are influenced by corruption so at above 1k they are more common for me they drop like candy at 1.5 k to 2.4 k timelines corr
I see
The best way to get havocs is make a build thay kills uber fast
Its not even close
Currently exclusively, since I have too many exalts to prepare and the number of failed havoc attempts gets riddiculos.
Afterwards is rampant coast, and rune prophecies
There is a node in weaver tree that makes enemies enraged and that helps with havocs as well
Also drop quite often at conquered tower
yeah also one that drops runes when you complete an echo which is somewhat ok
Uberroths loot is affected by corruption I'm assuming?
Yeah thats more random though
No 500 corr capped
uberoth is always 500c
Anything that can targeted-ly give more quantity of drops will invariably give more of the stuff you're after.
Aight
Uberroth drops suck but the quality of its items is great
Getting more gloves, relics and amulets to fuel the gambling addiction
Still have like 5 tabs to clear after 300 conquered tower 😅
once you get higher corruption they not so bad i got 100 just sitting there
Gloves drop too much, amulet is fine but gloves my god ehg man nerf that
Nah it's fine, easier to get 2LP that way
i honestly CBF with uberoth anymore... all because the whole normal abby RP loop
At least i was able to go from 16 0 lp tabs to 5 after probably 800 conquered towers
I got like 40 trust me I know
I have done over 700 ubers
Its sucks cause we only get 1 egg
This season already? Damn
At any rate, I only mentioned what I mentioned earlier, because having hundreds of runes drop at the same time will lag the game to no end.
lmao it does so much troll
Last one this season you already have a one shot iber build
you playing recall blade erza?
No was playing abo but I can gear that up anyday I am so drained from uber farm😅
i bet. lol
First clean the tabs then go ,most upgrades come from nemesis not actual drop
you done much of the veil farming
No really I dont like this season at all so I am just collecting fragments will do them afterwards
the imprint nerf has def lowered my drive to play thats for sure
No its not at least the empower doesnt get affected ,but corruption does benefit conquered tower nemesis with drops
You mean the last guy specifically?
Its hard to gear up and plain impossible to sustain exalts ,so when I miss the slams at julra I dont even feel the uniques I feel pain for my exalts
more chance for nemesis to have items at start with a t6 or t7
100% the exalts are pain not the uniques
hence more chance it will upgrade said exalt into multi t7 item
If they were gonna do this gimme an extra 100 tabs so we can fill them before this nerfs,my team is playing palworld an soon will go to poe 2 because of this and we hand like 15 people in it
The imprint nerf affects everyone, so let's not get into that here. But I'm pretty sure anything that can count as a drop is scaled by corruption/rarity. I'm only farming 600 corruption because I capped my current build as I swiotched to preparing gear for bees a few days back. I could go furhter, but the omen with DoT is a bit too rippy...
@solid garden whenever you are going to put conquered tower echoes put them on your highest corruption, you will be able to get 2t7 and 3t7 items more reliably
i warned them imprint nerf was bad and they told me that im in such a small % of players so they wont cater to us
ngl
Yeah basically that did you see frozen post 90% nerf no wonder I see only 1 2t7 axe after a week of playing rofl
the poison slugs are so freaking overtuned in dmg its not even funny
The imprint system was introduced with overblown numbers and it took them 2 season to tone it down. Sucks? Yes. Unforseen? No.
Dude I get one shotted by spines
yeah they rough i got 11k ward and they scetch me sometimes lol
