Plugins vary, usually they add on buildings to improve the looks of your game, like what my fav industrial add on is- the coca-cola factory. Like I said, there is variations, of couse there will be good and bad ones, add ons don't really affect performance, I have maybe ~50 large plugins and my phone can handle them well, (A samsung S7.)
Of couse you are going to need a large amount of gems, so I'd reccomend watching ads for them.

Even though we had all the plans there and were in the last stage of making the merging official, they sent us an email saying “April fools”. We are truly heartbroken by this news, and have to apologize for hyping everyone up about the changes that were to come to TheoTown. We were truly exited about all the new stuff, but unfortunately, those plans have now been cancelled. We hope you aren’t too upset by this, please understand the situation we are in.
On another note, we did receive quite positive feedback on the TheoTown dating simulator, and seeing as we were already making progress on that, we planned to go ahead with it.
