Hello everyone! I'm quite new to the Apple ecosystem, coming from Android I'm trying to get a grasp but I'm having some difficulties to keep up.
I have an iPhone 6s on iOS 14.2that I've jailbroken with Checkra1n; it works fine but I'm having some audio jack issues, in particular audio levels jumping around like a faulty connector, that are not dependent on the headphones are using nor the apps that I'm running (both tweaked and un-tweaked youtube exhibit the same issues). Looking around on the net I stumbled upon some posts on the official Apple support site that seem to indicate that this was a common issue resolved with iOS version 14.7 and up. (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/252730493?page=1).
Now, I would like to update to that particular version but I don't seem to find a way to not update up to iOS 15 with the system update in the Settings. Is there any way to go to something that's 14.7+ while keeping the ability to jailbreak or am I stuck with a faulty playback device until a iOS 15 is found (if it ever will)?

What's a blob?

It is a file containing a special key specifically for that one device to allow downgrading to a specific firmware.
They're like golden tickets, but instead a digital signature made by Apple that was saved at the time when the signing window was open. If you possess one (or many), keep them safe.

How do they work?

They can be used in a program called futurerestore to restore to a firmware in which the SEP/Baseband is compatible. To check SEP/Baseband compatibility, check !t sepbb.

Make sure to not use misleading sites.

Regardless of SEP/Baseband compatibility, any/all blobs should be saved for future downgrading abilities.

Can I save them now?

Of course. Blobs can be saved at any time, but it is crucial to save them when Apple releases new firmware, because they can only be saved for versions that are currently signed.
There is one exception to this: if you are jailbroken and Apple has unsigned the version you're currently on, you may save onboard blobs for that version.

Obv can't update anymore as last supported version was 12.5.5, so iTunes only leaves the restore option which would wipe the phone. I got a hold of the ipsw files for 12.5.4 and 12.5.5, but can't find a tool to restore the phone with those ipsw's (so that it would keep data on it) that's not an obvious scam

If you want to do it another way, you can go to the settings and click erase all content and settings and it will do the same. I just did that with my 8 on iOS 14.4 and didn't have to update

Am using full security, doing method #1. I got all the way to "double click on application to install it" and got an error message that says This application cannot be installed because the developer did not intend for it to run on this platform. Is there any way past this?

I can downgrade to 11.4 temporarily if that will fix the issue but i'd rather stay updated than have this, so if I'd have to stay on 11.4 permanently then this won't work for me
